The Cincinnati Bengals are facing criticism for their handling of contracts and player health, with Trey Hendrickson and Shamar Stewart expressing frustration with the team's approach. Meanwhile, Deion Sanders is dealing with an undisclosed health issue, and Anthony Richardson is rehabbing from a shoulder injury, while CJ Stroud is expected to return to action soon.

It is the JR Sportbree show here with you on the Infinity Sports Network. It comes to you live from Atlanta, Georgia. Thank you for hanging out here with me on this Tuesday, June 10th, 2025. You can consider this to be halftime of the show. Two hours down and two more to go. The show gets started every weekday at 6 p.m. Eastern, 3 Pacific.

I'm in Atlanta. Our producer holding things down in New York City is Ryan Bottcher, and we have discussed a lot. Hey, thank you so much to our guest, Hub Arkish, coming on through to talk some NFL football. Mandatory minicamps have opened up, and we have some players who have showed up, like a James Cook.

And then we have some players who have not, like a Trae Hendrickson with the Cincinnati Bengals. We'll get into that in a second. We talked about that beating that the Panthers gave to the Oilers last night. And we talked about Tyrese Halliburton. He's like, I got a little leg problem, but I'm fine. I am OK. We talked about Aaron Rodgers. He showed up today for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and we have more to get into. We just talked about the Knicks and interest with Jason Kidd next hour.

How about this? This will be a lot of fun. We're gonna be joined by Weston McKinney. He's a midfielder for the U.S. men's national team on soccer side, on the soccer side. He also plays for big Italian club Juventus.

He'll be participating in the club World Cup in a couple of days here in the United States of America. So we got a lot to get into. Deion Sanders was in the news today.

Not not a reason that anybody would want to get into. Apparently, Deion is dealing with some type of of health issue. This is the same man. He they had to almost worry about amputating his foot.

A couple of years ago. And so I'm not eagerly anticipating to find out what's wrong with Deion as long as he's good. Good.

I don't care who you are, how you feel about anybody. I just ain't gonna wish negative on on somebody dealing with the health issue. So all the best to Deion. We'll get into that. Speaking of health, we got some active NFL players.

Health is still not good. In the case of Anthony Richardson, he is not going to be throwing the football at all here in minicamp. They already said sit down. If we're lucky, we'll see you next month.

Wow stuff. Anyway, you can always listen to every minute of the show. As I said, on the free Odyssey app, you can tune in on your local Infinity Sports Network affiliate. If you have Sirius XM, it's Channel 375. And if you have a smart speaker, ask the speaker to play the Infinity Sports Network. You want to call up?

You could do that, too. 888-710-4ISN is the number. That's 888-710-4ISN. Before we went to break, I talked to you about one miserable ass sports organization. That's the New York Knicks. Now I got to switch gears and tell you about another miserable sports organization. It's the Cincinnati Bengals, who, for whatever reason and I can't say for whatever reason, some of the stories that have come out over the years about the Cincinnati Bengals have just their borderline hilarious.

But I guess it's not hilarious if you work in the organization. Everything from how much food is available for the players to eat throughout the course of the day. The fact that they have to pay for certain meals that then hasn't in the past been a designated family area for players' families after games.

T.J. Hoosman Zada has certainly told stories about having to pay for certain items, whether it be clothing or water or Gatorade. And I'm like, is this an NFL franchise? Or is this just some rec league that's been thrown together? Mike Brown of the Cincinnati Bengals, this man is almost 90 years old. God bless him.

He'll be 90 in a couple of months. And everything starts at the top. But the way the Cincinnati Bengals do business is it's cheap. And I'm taking this via firsthand reporting for people who've played there, people who've worked there. I mean, we can publicly see how they do business.

And so it's one thing. I'm still shocked, in all honesty, that the Cincinnati Bengals, I guess if they wanted to keep anybody happy, it was just Joe Burrow. OK, because Jamar Chase got paid. And I'm surprised that they kept T. Higgins. I thought that they would keep at least one big wide receiver. We know Jamar Chase, the creme de la creme and the entire NFL, probably between him and Justin Jefferson. And then I thought that they just pay Tre Hendrickson.

But apparently, I assume they want to pay all three. Jamar got paid. T. Higgins got paid. We all know Joe Burrow got paid. He already got paid his 55 mill a year. And so where does this leave Tre Hendrickson?

On the outside looking in. And so today at Bengals mandatory camp, you want to know who wasn't there? Tre Hendrickson, who for the last two seasons accumulated 17 and a half sacks a season each for the Bengals. This is one of the top pass rushers in the entire NFL. He's still in his prime.

OK, he's 30 and probably don't want to lock the guy up for another four or five years. The Bengals are just sitting around. Tre Hendrickson has said over the past month, month and a half, that they haven't even been in contact with him since the NFL draft. And this is just a wild situation. Listen to Tre Hendrickson just last month. Tell everybody why he's not happy with the head coach of the team, Zach Taylor.

Listen to this. A little bit transpired between me and Zach. We've tried to keep it as least amount personal as possible.

But at some point in this process, it becomes personal, you know, being sent 30 days before mandatory camp that if I don't show up, I will be fine. Alludes to the fact that something won't get done in that time frame and that with the lack of communication post draft made it evidently clear that I had to inform that this might not work out. And that's unfortunate. I don't think it was necessary. I think we all should have hoped for the best until proven otherwise. But through that, other things have transpired, you know, like the importance of me being here in OTAs doesn't seem to be respected.

But that was disappointing. Now, she had a man put out an entire statement to ESPN before OTAs just as a preemptive strike. I'm not happy they haven't communicated with me. Please, media, when I show up, just come talk to me so I can give you my side of the story. And that's exactly what he did. And today, I assume, as he alluded to, they're going to have to start tapping his wallet.

Hey, man, you didn't show up to work. Well, you owe us. Now, in a lot of cases, if you do come to terms on a long term contract, they'll go ahead and say, oh, let's just wipe the slate clean. So it's one thing to go out here and threaten a guy. It's another thing to actually, you know, hold steadfast to the fact of, yeah, we ain't giving you that money back.

We're not wiping the slate clean. You got fine. You got fine. Here's your new contract.

Live with it. I don't think that'll be the case with Trey Hendrickson. And when you think about the money that's being paid to top Edgerushers, it's astronomical right now. Miles Garrett is now clocking more than 40 mil a year. Max Crosby on the Raiders is getting about 35 and change a year. Trey Hendrickson said that he's not willing to go out here and he doesn't need to break the bank. He doesn't need to be the highest paid, but he wants to be paid commensurate to what he's produced.

And let me tell you, 17 and a half sacks seasons and not too bad, not too shabby. And so I guess the larger question is right now for Trey Hendrickson. This is what he was also asked. Knowing that you don't have a contract, you said you're not going to play on the final year of your deal unless you get a contract extension. Do you still want to be a bangle?

At this point, do you want to be a Cincinnati bangle? Well, that's a tough question, too, because you try not to let the business become personal. I think over the last week, it's become personal, unfortunately, you know, and when there's a lack of communication in any relationship, if it's business or personal relationship, lack of communication leads to animosity. And that leaves my narrative only to me with no clear direction. So the lack of direction, the lack of communication is leading to things that are allowing me to think about what's going to happen more than how great they have treated me over the last four years. Is there any way in your mind, Trey, that you would play this year on your current contract and just play it out?

Is that even something you would even consider? No, no, no. Pay me. Look, the average NFL career is three to four years, three to four years. You've got to make your bones.

You've got to make your money. Every time that you step out onto the field, it could be your final snap. I can understand any of these guys saying, man, it's the final year of my deal, whether it's Terry McLaurin or James Cook.

You think about a guy who's who's now 30 and Trey Hendrickson and what he's accomplished over the past several years. He wants to get paid. He wants that protection. And if by hanging out for a holding out for a month or so, we'll get him closer to that, then good for him. There's enough money being thrown around for everybody.

The Cincinnati Bengals with their owner, Mike Brown. He's like Scrooge McDuck. He's like that that guy. And is it a hey botch, is that a is that a Geico commercial with a guy who has the money on a fishing rod? Yeah, it is.

You almost had it. Yeah. Got to be quicker than that. Got to be quicker than that.

Yeah. The Bengals are just it's like they're teasing their players. Because if you pay them ahead of time, it's like the Dallas Cowboys, it's just like, we'll wait, we'll wait, we'll wait. So now we'll give Dax 60 million dollars like you. But you wouldn't have to pay him 60 if you just would have extended him and just said, hey, man, you you're now 50. I remember when they had to pay him 40 about five years ago and that at the point in time seemed ridiculous. And so the longer you wait, it's like what Fat Joe said a few years ago, specifically about Jadakiss.

I'm getting in the weeds. Yesterday's price is not today's price. Every single day the price goes up. And so T.J. Watt also wants a new contract. OK, you don't think T.J. Watt will get a deal and then maybe Trey Hendrickson will look at that and just go, well, I deserve a little less than him. Or you don't think T.J. Watt is looking to see what Trey Hendrickson might get. Or maybe he just says, hey, I'm I'm right in the category with Myles Garrett.

Just just pay me anyway. It's nutty. And so it's not even that you have this issue with one of your veteran star players, your star defensive player. The Bengals have an issue with their rookie that they just drafted as well. Shamar Stewart out of Texas A&M.

This guy's a physical freak. They picked him 17th overall in the draft. He's basically supposed to help out Trey Hendrickson, maybe, and then really help replace Sam Hubbard, who just called his career a wrap.

Shamar Stewart hasn't signed his rookie deal yet. And this money is slotted. But apparently they're nickel and diming about some of his guarantees.

And the future. And it's just like, are you kidding me? And so he's at practice today or he was at mini camp, mandatory mini camp, and he pretty much threw the Bengals under the bus. He says he wants to practice. He wants to play. It's the team's fault for not just getting things done.

And he was very, very clear. What's the problem? Is it you?

Is it the Bengals? Tell me what the problem is, Shamar. If I really wanted to say, yeah, I can't say what I really want to say, but is their contract. They could do what they want with it. Oh, OK. You can't say what he wrote. Well, he said more than that. So obviously you're not playing. And so this situation is is bad at least. Right. This is not good. Very bad. I mean, I've been doing this for most of my whole life. And then all of a sudden it's gone over something very simple to fix.

It's kind of disappointing. Yeah. Well, you're a football player. Football players want to be on the field.

Shamar Stewart. He explained that. No, man, I'm not I'm not trying to sit. I don't want to play.

It's very important. I mean, like you got to get your body somewhere prepared to play football, especially me coming from college to the NFL is a way physical game, even though I play an SEC, which is very physical, but that it compares to actually playing in the NFL. So I thought it'd be I thought I'd be on the field by now. That's what I thought. Wow.

Man, I would think so, too. I mean, you got a rookie defensive end that you're trying to baptize and indoctrinate into the NFL. And then nickel and diming him over over guarantees like. This is the Bengals here is a Scrooge McDuck. It's like every rich person, billionaire you ever heard of in your life, that's just a cheapskate, just torturing, torturing people. It is these guys are millionaires. They're not being tortured.

I guess it's just a power play. Shamar Stewart, he continued on. He was asked about Trey Hendrickson and his issues. I mean, you got one guy who's a rookie, another guy who's 30 years old and is already a proven commodity in the NFL.

And the Bengals are treating them exactly the same. This is what Shamar Stewart had to say about overall what's going on. We all agree Trey will be right. Right. But technically still one percent wrong for being on the contract. So in my case, I'm 100 percent right. So it should be a no brainer. And in Trey's case, I think it should be a no brainer, too.

I mean, he led 17 and a half seconds for two years back to back. If I was the GM or I was the owner, take all my money. But I guess they don't operate like that. Oh, OK. Well, I don't know. Maybe somebody woke up Mike Brown from his nap to let him know those comments.

I don't know. Oh, he has people underneath him who are actually running the franchise. But, you know, that man has final say. He is 90 to what full degree. And there's a lot of sharp 90 year olds out there.

And I know there's a lot of people 90 plus listening right now that are sharp as a tack. But when you're making dumbass decisions like this and you're in charge of the entire football operations, the Bengals look bad. You know, we got a lot of cheapskate organizations in the world of sports.

The Bengals are up there. I mean, they need to be happy that they have Joe Burrow. This poor guy's arm is likely to fall off heading into this season or going through the course of the season. Just based on on the defense, just like it was last year, they didn't have more success.

Because the defense stunk, they had to come from behind and a hole through the season because the defense stunk. Joe Burrow, I'm not trying to wish it on the guy. He might be in store for one of these Dan Marino type careers.

I'm just gonna go out here and throw the rock around, make it to a Super Bowl early on in my career and never see the mountaintop ever again, maybe not even get there to compete for it. It's how bad the Bengals are. They paid him. They paid the offense. And now you got a rookie on defense. You got a vet on defense. They just got to sit around twiddling their thumbs as the Bengals try to play hardball. Do better, please.

Do better. It's the J.R. Sportbree show here with you coast to coast on the Infinity Sports Network. 888-710-4ISN.

That's 888-710-4ISN. Now that I think about it, when we get to the top six list tomorrow, Wednesday, I think I may have to look at some of the cheapest organizations in the world of sports. OK, the Bengals are definitely be on that list. We're going to take a break when we come back on the other side. I told you about young players. Well, I'm going to give you an update on two young quarterbacks. One can play. One is available. The other one, well, we don't know when the hell we're going to see.

A matter of fact, either one of them. I'm going to tell you about Anthony Richardson and C.J. Stroud. It's the J.R. Sportbree show on the Infinity Sports Network. You are listening to the J.R. Sportbree. It is the J.R. Sportbree show here with you on the Infinity Sports Network. 888-710-4ISN is the number.

That's 888-710-4ISN. Before we went to break, we talked about how how cheap the Cincinnati Bengals are. They have not only ticked off a rookie whose salary is basically slotted just over to trying to avoid guarantees in his contract. That's Jamar Stewart. They got Trey Hendrickson, who's a 30 year old vet on the other end, and he's just you didn't even show up to work today.

He's like, man, I'm not playing if I don't have a new contract. You can go ahead and forget about that. I'm going to give you an update on two quarterbacks in a few minutes. But before we do that, I have to do this. Let you know about the Defensive Player of the Week brought to you by the Navy Federal Credit Union. Our members are the mission. The Defensive Player of the Week this week.

How about this? Denzel Clark. If you did not see the catch, you have probably heard about it by now. The A's. They were playing in that I don't want to call it an empty pit in Anaheim against the Angels. Denzel Clark went out and tracked down and stole a home run from Angels first baseman Nolan Chanuel. He leaked this guy, six, four. He just got called up last week. The guy was on Sports Center for robbing a home run. He now has eight outs above average in 16 games. He just got to the big leagues and he's already out here robbing and stealing. Unfortunately for him, he plays for the A's.

Maybe one day you'll turn them around. The A's right now, they ended up losing that game seven or four. Nothing to see here. Business as usual.

Not as bad as they were last year, but that's not that's not saying much. Hey, Botcher, did you see that they broke ground on that stadium in Vegas? Well, they did. I've heard there was like struggles with it in the money for it, but they actually did. They they they broke ground.

I think they're actually going to have if they haven't had the fancy ceremony, they're going to have that sooner than later, too. That's good. Everybody forgets about the Rays, though. They're playing in the middle of the Yankees minor league stadium. Yeah.

George Steinbrenner field. Yeah. Well, their stadium has got destroyed by a hurricane.

Yeah. What's the what's the latest on that? I heard the government said we're going to help them and they weren't.

I don't even I can't even keep up. I think there was an issue just like getting the funding for it and the location for it. So they might have to move.

I just got to double check. Send them to send them to another state. OK. Like it's enough that Florida has the Marlins. Just go ahead. Take the Rays and move them.

Simple as that. To where? Oh, man. Nashville. That'd be pretty, pretty good.

Yeah. There's there's a market for baseball in Nashville. I don't know anywhere.

I think it's well, it's very far. Some of the Portland for like here. I don't know.

Send it. Send a team to Canada somewhere. I mean, I don't know. There's no when the Rays were good.

People weren't showing up the places a pit. I don't know. I'm thinking if I'm in Tampa Bay, there's going to be better things for me to do than sit inside a dump all day to sit down and watch the Rays play baseball on a concrete mat in some carpet laid out on top of it. I just.

No thanks. And the athletics in Las Vegas, they have a groundbreaking ceremony that's being set up. And so, yeah, I guess this is going to happen. The the athletics are going to move as they come to sleep on your neighbor's couch and hang out in Sacramento for the time being. They'll eventually make their way out to Las Vegas. And we'll see that sooner than later.

8 8 8 7 10 for ISN 8 8 8 7 10 for ISN. Before we went to break, I told you about these miserable ass Cincinnati Bengals. Unfortunately, I have to tell you about some some quarterbacks. Bacha, do we should we go with the good news on the quarterback front or the bad news first? Always start bad. OK, well, this team is used to hearing bad.

I'm going to tell you about the Indianapolis Colts, and this might be good. If you don't like Anthony Richardson, Anthony Richardson, we know we found this out last week. The man can't throw the football. He's dealing with issues in his surgically repaired shoulder.

The one that knocked him out in 2023. He can't throw the football that was at voluntary workouts last week. Now at mandatory workouts this week, like his condition hasn't changed. Anthony Richardson was actually in Los Angeles checking in with the same doctor who performed his surgery after he sprained that shoulder. He only played four. Keep in mind his rookie season. He only played four games because of spraining that shoulder.

And now you've got to go back and see the doctor two years later. I mean, whether it's the knees or the concussions and now his shoulder, like you dropping that shoulder into people, bro. Anyway, his head coach, Shane Stike, and he spoke to the media today and he gave not good news. He said, man, I don't know when this guy's coming back.

Nobody does. There's no timetable on the return, but we're just going to get his rehab. And once the doctor's clear him to throw and we'll ease him back into it. There's a report that he's going out to do like a second opinion. Yeah. Yeah.

He went out to L.A. to get a second opinion. Yeah. Is that kind of standard? Yeah. I think a lot of guys get a lot of opinions for sure. He's like, yeah, yeah, yeah. You being a smart guy here? You being a smart alec? He's like, yeah. Before somebody cuts you open, they try to get as many opinions as possible.

OK. You don't have no answers. Let's see Daniel Jones be a week one quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts. They're paying that man 14 million dollars to quote unquote be the backup.

He is not the backup quarterback. Daniel Jones is going to get a new lease at life playing for the Indianapolis Colts as Anthony Richardson, I guess, is going to be rehabbing. And so that's the bad news unless you're a fan of the Colts and you do not want to see Anthony Richardson throwing the football.

Meanwhile, here's some good news. If you're a fan of the Houston Texans, you want to see CJ Stroud out on the football field. Just last week, he had some issues with his own shoulder. He wasn't actively throwing the rock around.

Well, that's different this week. Listen to CJ Stroud tell you what the heck is going on with his arm and says, yeah, I'm throwing the ball. I'm throwing. Let me alone. Yeah, I mean, I'm all right. I was already throwing, you know, before you guys see me out there pretty normally.

I just I think you don't have much to talk about. So I just everything is blown up in all season. So I'm fine, man. I'm really OK. Now, they said his arm was sore last week. That sounds like like something to me for another guy who had issues with his shoulder.

I think that is concerning. This is what his head coach D'Amico Ryan's had to say about him throwing today. Oh, CJ threw today, right?

All right. Just the CJ is a competitor. And last week, CJ, he was adamant about going out and practicing. It just shows the type of person that CJ is like he's. But for me, as a head coach, it's important for me to just make sure we're protecting him, making sure we're doing what's best for CJ and not really worried about the outside opinions or other people. Nobody knows the information about our players more than me. And so I'm going to make sure I always do what's in the best interests of our players.

First and foremost, with their health and wellness, that's always on the forefront of my mind. And so that's why the decision was made about CJ. I think you guys saw him out throwing today. I think he looked pretty fine to me. Oh, everything is all good when he's healthy, right?

How sweet. I mean, you listen to what Shane Steichen had to say about Anthony Richardson, and then you listen to what D'Amico Ryans had to say about his quarterback night and day, night and day. I'm sure Shane Steichen is hoping for some some positive days where he's not asked about Anthony Richardson, but he's going to have these questions in front of him probably all season long. Good luck. 8 8 8 7 10 for ISN.

That's 8 8 8 7 10 for ISN. We are going to take a break when we come back on the other side. Speaking of health, I want to tell you about the health of somebody who doesn't even plan the NFL anymore. And he's been dealing with his own health issues.

Apparently, there's a new one that has now cropped up. Deion Sanders in the news today because of an undisclosed health issue. We'll talk about that. I'll get to your phone calls.

We've got a lot to do. But right now, let's get into a news flash. Here he is. It's Rich Ackerman. You're listening to the J.R. sport brief. It is the J.R. sport brief show here on the Infinity Sports Network. 8 8 8 7 10 for ISN.

That's 8 8 8 7 10 for ISN. We talked about these injuries, so apparently injury to Anthony Richardson. We have no idea when he's going to be back and available to throw the football for the Indianapolis Colts. We also heard that C.J. Stroud, after having a sore shoulder last week, not being able to throw the football sitting out. He is perfectly fine and A-OK today. I mean, for a guy who got sacked almost what, 60 times last year.

Let's see how he feels come September. In a few minutes, I do want to tell you about, unfortunately, I guess the health issues or injury to a legend who no longer plays, but now coaches in Deion Sanders. I'll get to that in a minute. Let's go ahead and check in on the phones. 8 8 8 7 10 for ISN.

That's 8 8 8 7 10 for ISN. David is calling up from L.A. on the JR Sport brief. Show us up, David. Hey, good afternoon, JR.

Thank you so much for taking my call. I just wanted to piggyback off what you said about the Bengals earlier and kind of look at a big picture here. And, you know, we see it over and over again in all leagues. But ownership is such a vital part of the long term success of any organization. You know, if you have an owner like Mike Brown who is cheap, who is, you know, not as well versed in how to manage his team in the best of the way, you might get away with a couple of good seasons based on the talent that you acquire.

But in terms of long term sustainable success, it's going to be really hard to duplicate that. You know, I'm an Eagles fan and I'm thankful every day that we have Jeffrey Lurie as an owner who has built a winning culture in Philadelphia because he's found the right balance of being an owner who is involved but does not meddle. You know, he has a GM that he's got faith in in Howie Roseman. He knows that Howie Roseman is somebody who can learn from his mistakes. So he left Howie do his job knowing that how he has how he can do his job for the long term betterment of the team because he knows he has that job security there. You know, and Joe Burrow even mentioned the Eagles by name when he said, you know, look, the Eagles are paying everybody. Why can't we? Yeah, well, the fish, the fish rots from their head without a shadow of a doubt. We know that.

And we talked about this earlier in the show. And thank you, Dave, for calling from L.A. when we talked about the New York Knicks. Like, they actually had some success here and they decided to fire the head coach. These are organizations. They're still led by people. They're led by human beings. There's still someone there who's making the decisions. And as we all know, human beings are not perfect and human beings going to make mistakes. And there's a lot of cases where people don't know how to stay out of their own damn way. And that's that's certainly the case. I'm sure you've maybe heard the cliche about the fish rots from the head.

It's like whoever's all the way at the top of the totem pole. My if they can't lead and they're crooked or they're right and they don't know what they're doing, like it's it's going to permeate all the way through the organization. That's not just something for a sports franchise. Like if you lead in crap and you suck, it's going to be a bad environment. It just absolutely is.

It is. So if things are things are bad for the Bengals, I don't care. They're going to add Trey Hendrickson, I believe. But to go through this entire process with both him and the rookie is just horrible, horrible. And then, you know, we get stories like we got a couple of months ago where Caleb Williams and his dad, before they get drafted, they're looking at the Chicago Bears and going, man, we don't want to go there.

That's what quarterback careers go to die. You don't think people everybody takes notice. It's not just the fans paying attention. The agents have to deal with these teams and the players know what's going on.

So, man, you're not going to get any sympathy from me if you're the Bengals, man, you could throw that out the window. And thank you, Dave, for mentioning Jeff Lurie. I got to commend him a great job. He donated 50 million dollars to the Children's Hospital in Philadelphia to help put together the Lurie Autism Institute in order to help, obviously, look into autism research and potential cures. And shout outs to the Lurie family and shout outs to all my my good friends all over the place with Special Olympics. 888-710-4ISN.

That's 888-710-4ISN. You know, we talked about health. Unfortunately, I got to tell you about the health of Deion Sanders as much as I can, because apparently Deion Sanders is not at camp right now with Colorado. He's not making some of his other engagements because of some health issues, undisclosed health issues.

We have no idea what they are. What we do know is that over the past several years, Deion Sanders has dealt with blood clotting issues in his legs. He's had a couple of toes, unfortunately amputated. There was a concern that he was going to have to have his foot amputated. He's had surgeries to remove clots in his legs and his thighs. And just last week when Deion was defending his son, Shador, against some of the some of the reports about his his meetings during the draft process, he wasn't prepared.

He had headphones on. Deion also spoke to Asante Samuel about his health. This is what he said last week before we found out anything about health issues. I hope you're feeling better. And one thing I want to say, if you ever tried to fast before you ever fast, use fasting. Yeah, I have.

But what I'm what I'm dealing with right now is holding the level is holding the level. You know what? Honestly, I've done no media. I've done nothing for how long now? For a minute. So coming on with you is something I ain't been in front of nobody for a minute. You see, I lost my pounds like like I'm coming back, but I needed this man. I need this exchange of energy.

That energy. And so we don't know specifically what the latest issue is. Is it still related to clotting?

Is it unrelated? His son, Shador. He is throwing a rock around with the other four quarterbacks for the Cleveland Browns. And when he spoke to the media today, someone naturally asked him about his dad and he's just like, we ain't talking about that right now. Yeah, I don't know what's going on.

So I'm here not to talk about pops, you know, I'm here for the quarterback of the Cleveland Browns. You know, my question was, if you don't mind answering this, do you kind of have to just like you said, be where your feet are? And that I'm sure that's something that would be a worry to you if you let yourself kind of think about it here. Sorry.

Is that something that you're trying to do? I'm focused. I'm focused on learning this playbook and everything I got to do to be the most successful quarterback I could be and be a best teammate I could be. Outside of that, I don't really have no thoughts or, you know, really opinions on anything outside this game.

Appreciate it. Yeah. And when the time is right, I guess Dion will say what he's look. The man is sitting around. He says he hasn't done media in a while. He sat down with a Sante Samuel and talked about a wide range of topics. Do you understand this has never been shot? He's never been shot in expressing himself.

He's never been shy and speaking clearly. And I mean, the whole process of of his his hospitalization and getting better. It's it was recorded like this this video of him in the hospital and praying and he has the gown on and like everything in due time. You know, I wish the guy nothing but the best.

I wish him nothing but the best. I mean, it was talking about having to amputate his foot. And when you think about a professional athlete and you think about someone who's in their peak, even someone in Dion, you'd be like, man, you would think that your body would be great. But when you think about clotting, we got world class athletes.

Come on. We got Damian Lillard, who just dealt with the clot. We got Victor when Benyama, who due to his height, dealing with a clot and then the travel on top of it. So even being a top end athlete, then utilizing those muscles in your legs is it can get pretty, pretty crazy. Dion Sanders said he has a family or excuse me, a history of clotting in his family, as well as diabetes, which certainly would not would not help or aid.

But man, there's nobody exempt to anything out here at all. Eight, eight, eight, seven, ten for ISN. That's eight, eight, eight, seven, ten for ISN. And then over the weekend, I think, like a lot of people saw, Victor when Benyama is hanging out with monks, Shaolin monks. Bacha, you saw that one, Benyama?

I did. He shaved his head, too. Well, hair grows back. I guess if you got to go in, you got to go all the way in, huh?

I don't I don't know. Is that a thing? Like at the mandatory shave your head to do to go to the practice of the prayer? I've never seen a monk with hair. You've seen a monk with hair? No, but I don't think I've actually Googled monks with hair.

I should Google it now. I don't think I've ever seen a monk with hair. Aren't they the monks that there's monks that hang around in New York.

They walk around. It's a huge city in New York. You have never seen a monk in like Times Square. You've never seen a monk in Manhattan.

I don't I don't think so. Oh, yeah. You didn't know they were a monk.

Well, I'm looking for like the traditional, you know, gowns and stuff. Yeah, these guys walk around in traditional wear in New York. Yeah. And they try to yeah, they try to they try to spread the message and awareness of the monks. Oh, like the Mormons. I've seen Mormons.

I've experienced a couple Mormon interactions. OK. Yes. The gentleman in the slacks and the white shirts. Yes, correct.

Yeah. But I don't think I think I've ever had a monk ever come up to me and try to, you know, talk to me. The monks in New York City typically hand out leaflets and pamphlets trying to educate people about some of the persecutions that they face in certain parts of the country.

And so some of these guys, they can be hustlers. OK, they're they're they're months. But you've never how long have you lived in New York? Twenty three years now. You've never seen a monk. Maybe once or twice, but they've never interacted with me. Oh, well, yeah.

Yeah. And I looked up monks with hair. There are monks with hair.

It's how much you go on the European one. They do the bald on top and the circle ring of hair. OK. Or you do like, I don't know, short buzz cuts. Are you talking are you talking to me about like a father or friar? No.

Yeah. No, there's some monks. I looked at monks with hair. So like they shave half their head and there's like a circle ring of hair.

OK, well, well, I'm pretty sure whoever women Yama was, the practices from the shave his head. It'll grow back. It grows back. See what he does. Hopefully he comes back healthy.

That's what I want to see. We haven't heard much, if anything, about Victor Webbing Yama and his health issues with the clot in his arm. We haven't heard anything about that. So I'm going to assume that that is plenty good news. Just devastating. When Victor women Yama came into the league, the thought and concern for me was always going to be a knee and ankle or foot.

I did not have a blood clot anywhere on the list. And so all the best to women Yama, whatever he's doing out in Asia, all the best to Deion Sanders, whatever the heck he's going through, undisclosed illness. We'll find out soon enough whenever Deion Sanders wants to go ahead and share it publicly. Eight, eight, eight, seven, ten for ISN. That's eight, eight, eight, seven, ten for ISN. Hey, we got a soccer star. A global soccer star is going to join us next hour in about 30 minutes or so.

We'll be joined by Weston McKinney, U.S. men's national team star, as well as a star on the Italian club Juventus. We'll talk some more NFL on the other side of the break.
