This is the Truth Network. This is the Truth Network. This is the United States James. And he became my personal savior. Ladies and gentlemen.
The Mallow. contest is set for one flaw introducing first from lithuania he weighs 123 kilos the russian nightmare the kita kola now the devil's nightmare Welcome back to another episode of It's Time to Man Up.
Well, there are medical doctors, there are... Dentists, there are A variety of different doctors, but today. I have a unique doctor with me. I have the doctor. Of Life Insurance.
Jay Moore, Dr. Jay Moore, welcome to the Man Up Show. Thank you, Nikita. Thank you for that introduction. I appreciate it.
Well, you are welcome. And that is an interesting title there. And I look forward to diving into that, what all the Doctor of Life Insurance entails. But before we get there, you know, we met just a while back. I came over to Over to the church there and in Conover, Tri-City Baptist Church in Conover.
And uh we did some ministry together over there. Had a great time with the with the Manhatt Conference. Uh there's not There's not a week that goes by Nikita that I don't get some kind of positive feedback from the men that were there, and even the young men itself, they all enjoyed it. And then the day after that, we had you come speak at our church. And again, it was just really a an uplifting experience.
Uh Just something that's very unique. It was you were on point with the Bible. And it was just a great event. Looking forward to doing this again with you here in the future, definitely next year. And having this be some like an annual an annual retreat for us.
Well, I sure appreciate it. I know I'm always encouraged, you know, when I get feedback like that and know it, because my hope is and my prayer is anytime, you know, I'm going into a community, you know, and especially if we're doing the man-up conference, or sometimes I'll do a man-up breakfast or even a man-up dinner, or just a variety of different things is that those who attend will find that their time was well spent, that it was they got something of value out of that event, and certainly then to, you know.
Sometimes follow-up, like I don't always hear the follow-up, right? Like what you're sharing with me today, I don't necessarily always hear, but when I do, it just encourages me to keep. Doing what I do. And yeah, and the fact that there were guys there, and I always enjoy when fathers bring sons and so there's generations there represented and for the young men to be there, the teenagers, and we've even had them as young as 10, 11 years old that. people would are surprised that You know, they're going to get something out of the day as well.
And so, yeah, just a memorable. Memorable time there. And then I know you've got, you know, in addition to hearing. things uh on the on a weekly basis. You and I have talked and you have quite a bit of interest uh from the several guys uh to come ne next spring to the to the man camp down in Georgia.
That has been the hot topic of conversation, if I can be honest with you, Nikita. With uh what we're doing at Tri-City the Baptist Church. I Uh to give you a little side note, Right before the man up conference, I was deemed like the ambassador. For the man events here at Tri-City.
Okay. And this is great because what we have going on with Nikita with the man the Manup Manup conference, which was a success, And now we're just going to go ahead and piggyback on that and add more to it. But um the event at Man Camp for next April there in Georgia.
So I Getting a lot of positive feedback. There's people asking questions, looking forward to this. It's going to be right after the week of Easter next year, right there at the beginning of spring. Weather's going to be great.
So It was kind of a fortunate event for myself as well to be able to wear another hat to be able to help out and to be of service to my church, at Tri-City Baptist Church. uh for the uh for the men there so I'm looking forward to this as well. Yeah, and for the listening audience out there, if you're trying to piece this all together, Um The way I kind of phrase it is the conference I did there at Tri-City was, I call it the appetizer. Like, I mean, as you witnessed, Jay, a lot of information in a very short period of time. But at the same time, we only spent a few hours together.
And, you know, the camp itself, we spent a few days together.
So it's really what I call a deep dive. And that's where you get the entree and the dessert and the cherry on top and the testimonies for people coming out of the guys coming out of camp and on our website. And I'll give that later, but the website, how you can find out more if you're, you know, if you're a young lady out there who has a man in your life, someone of significance in your life, and it could be a son, it can be a dad, and a brother, a husband. There's lots of men of all backgrounds that come. To the man camp and are impacted when we spend a few days together.
So let's talk about that, Jay.
So you've been at Tri-City, how long? Been at Toronto City since I started going there in May of two thousand one. Wow, okay. Twenty-four years. Twenty-four years and and uh and you're spearheading so you're spearheading uh kind of put you in charge of I well, I'll just call it men men's ministry there at at at the church and and it's great to hear that you're you know piggybacking on the conference and I I I guess has it has it given you some ideas on on other things that that you guys can can do with the men there?
I think it has, Nikki. It's one of those deals where We have had manned conferences before. um with different uh and it's been a couple of years since we had our last one. And it's like anything else.
Sometimes we could let time, life in general, get in the way of things. is probably the reason why we really haven't had any man man up conferences in the past couple of years. And of course, you and I we've been working on this. We've been talking about this probably for I think probably since if I'm not mistaken, since September or October last year when you reached out to me that one afternoon. Yeah.
And You know, we had this man up conference this past July. We had you there with all the Positive feedback that I've received from all the men there, thinking they said, Jay, this was so much more. Than what we expected. I mean, and that was Nikita. That happened.
From the moment you concluded The conference on that Saturday, I had nothing but people coming up to me, thanking me for this, how much they got out of it. Uh And then they started inquiring about This man camp. They said, Jay, what's this man camp about? We want to continue this. This can't be the last time we do this.
And I thought, you know what? This won't be the last time we do this. We're going to keep. We're keep keep on going. We're going to have you and I talk about even some of the even after man camp next April, have Maybe a man k a man man up breakfast.
Or maybe a dinner with we've got one gentleman there that just really does a great job of cooking ribeyes. Mr. Bob Templeton. Who would be more than happy to do that? Just there's a lot of.
extra events we could do uh with you in general, Nikita, for the men Of Tri-City the Baptist Church and even the ones of the surrounding churches in the Catawba County area itself.
So I'm looking forward to doing that. Looking forward to seeing how it evolves and how it grows. And just keeping it going because as you well know, Before you know it, it's the beginning of the year. And if we don't plan to stay ahead of things, before you know it, it's going to be fall, winter, and Christmas. We know how those months, we know how slow those months are, right?
Being a little sarcastic, they fly by. Yes. Yeah. In fact, a friend of mine says, the days and the weeks sometimes can drag on, but the years can fly by, right? They really do.
Yeah, a quote from a buddy of mine. And, well, and that's one thing that I always hope to do, and certainly you guys have embraced, is to, you know, build a longer-term relationship.
Now, there's plenty of churches, you know, that, you know, if you just want to call it a one-off, you know, where I come in and minister for a weekend and certainly love and enjoy doing that by all means, while at the same time, you know, I love building long-term relationships. You know, I've got a church up in Dumfries, Virginia, where I've been literally doing ministry for 25 years up there. uh on on a very regular basis. And so I'm excited to hear that you know we can build upon upon this and and uh you know parlay the conference to the camp into into other things. And and so So tell me, before we dive into the the the Doctor of Life Insurance, tell me about let's talk for a minute, let's shift gears for a minute here and talk about Amy and Zach.
Fill our listeners in on Amy and Zach. Amy and Zach. Amy is my wife. She's been my wife since April 13th of 2002. twenty-three years We actually went to high school together.
She was one year ahead of me. And We never said one word at all together.
Okay. So she's not the high school sweetheart story. But I will share this with you, Keith. And now she thinks I'm pulling her leg on this to this day. But this is true.
This is true.
Okay, okay. My junior prom. Her senior prom, I remember this like it was yesterday. I'm sitting at my table And then all of a sudden, And it had to be the Lord. Because I didn't you know, she was coming through the entrance with a date.
Right. And my ha my head just turned to the left. And for some reason, the Lord just paused me for a minute To look at her, I'm thinking, and I can't even tell you what I was thinking, Nikita, because I was just. I was just looking. It was the Lord.
He literally took my head. And I guess he gave me a a screenshot of my future. A glimpse into your future. Come on. Come on.
And that was the last time. And of course, she was a senior. She graduated. I had another year at Maiden High School. And didn't speak to her, didn't.
Same thing about her again, know anything about her until a mutual friend of ours At a company we were working at called Comscope. She was working in the office, and I was a. working in the quality assurance lab. Yeah. A friend of ours said, Jay, you need to meet this girl named Amy.
She is so sweet. And I thought, you know what? Deal me in. Why not, right? I'm game, right?
Why not?
So. Introduced me and the rest is just the rest is just history. There was none of this. You always kind of know sometime, Nikita. I feel like when you meet the one, the ones you really don't have to.
You're not there to It's almost like you do very little. And they're impressed with you, right? It's just you, you know what? This is real. This is nothing that I'm having to.
I don't have to look not nothing up. Just let myself go. I don't have to look at it. It came natural, right? It just kind of came natural.
It came natural. It was that easy, too. That easy and natural. You're listening to the Truth Network and truthnetwork.com. If you would like to support Koloff for Christ Ministries, for a gift of $25, Nikita will send you his two CDs, Adoration and Declaration.

Now we met in April of 2001. And then in May of 2001, a month later, is when I started going to the church she was at, which is Tri-City Baptist Church. I was going to a a local church here next to my home, Synergy Baptist. but started going there with her in May of two thousand one. I joined Tri-City in January of 2002, and of course we got married there at Tri-City in April.
of 2002.
So uh That's how Amy and I met.
Okay, well, hold on, hold on, hold on, before you get to Zach.
So, I have a question.
So. So, when your friend said you got to meet this sweet girl, Amy, did you. Two well, two part question maybe. Did you know it was the Amy from the senior prom? Part one, part two, if you did or didn't, did you know immediately once you saw Amy that it was the Amy from the senior prom?
Yeah. Good question. As soon as she said Amy Wilson and Some people say I'm kind of a freak of nature like this, Nikita. My memory is just, I can remember things that folks think that that's. How can you remember these things?
But I remembered. the name Amy Wilson. And the only Amy Wilson I knew was the one that went the maiden.
Okay. Okay, maybe this is her.
So yours Joyce Gabriel, who was uh the matchmaker, she gave me Amy's number. And she even asked Amy, she said, uh Can Jay call you? Do you mind if he calls you? And she said, I remember Amy telling Joyce this because it was shared at our Uh Let's see. Uh reception at our uh rece uh we have what's that thing called Nikita, the night before the marriage.
It's uh Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. No, I know what you're talking about. I'm drawing a blank. Anyway, we had that they told Joyce told the story that When she gave Amy my when I she was allowing Amy to get Amy's number for us, she said, Well, make sure he knows Um Not to call me all the time and not to call me on Wednesday nights because I've got church. And it was just it was like it It was just all these things because she was really busy with church and you gotta understand that totally.
She was heavily involved. That's cool.
So I got her number, and I didn't call her on Wednesday night because definitely church throughout the week. But we did talk and we scheduled, we talked a good bit. And we had a date scheduled for the next week. And That was pretty much it, Nikita. It was one of those where We went out and And I didn't, I knew the name Amy, and I thought it would be her.
But then when I first, when we talked on the phone and she told me that she graduated in 91 at Maiden, I thought, yep, that's the Amy that you remember. Yeah. That you got the glimpse of coming through the door. And that's awesome.
Well, just give us a little snippet on Zach, and then we'll talk about what you're doing out in the marketplace. Zach was born. He we were blessed to have Zach. july twelfth, two thousand eight. He is 17 years young.
And it doesn't seem like that at all. I guess a lot of parents probably feel like that. They just Or little once, and then boom, they're not. Yep. He is a junior at Maiden High School.
He is looking forward to playing Doing the track and field. He's getting involved in shot, put in discus throwing. Uh It's just he's really it's almost like Nikita we have another adult. in the house. real about that and brag about Zach for a minute.
Uh He's very responsible. He's heavily involved in his church. I He's a greeter at Tri-City Baptist Church, and he works the sound system once a month for the kids in the children's church. If I could. If I could just say how Thankful.
that we are For Zach, that would be just an understatement because he means that much to both Amy and myself. That's awesome. He's. Just just He's got a niece and nephew to look up to him, Bella and Mateo. They're out in Georgia.
He's a role model. With my sister. They just really like Zach look up to him. And he. He's very blessed to have them to be big cousin Zach.
Wow, that's cool. Very cool.
Well, and an athlete as well. That's amazing.
Well, let's shift gears here. I got a kick out of when I saw the doctor of life insurance. I'm like, you know, I don't know I've ever seen that before. Yeah, of course, your focus is life and retirement. You specialize in that area with Trans America.
I know you've been doing that about 10 years.
So, first, give us a little. Insight into the doctor, why the doctor of life insurance? Where does that stem from? Good question. Good question.
A lot during my throughout my youth, I've had my friends and family members, they always call me Dr. J from. Julius Urban, Dr. J up in Philadelphia, 76. If you remember him.
Oh, I'm old enough to know Dr. J, yes.
So that's where it kind of spawned from. And You know, throughout my in the beginning years of Trans America, I've always had my, um Managing Director, Chris Jones. He's always talked to talked to us about setting yourself apart from the competition, being different, being different gets you recognized, right? You're very memorable. Do something that's memorable.
And While I was developing My brand And my business score, I thought, you know what, this would be Kind of unique because it kind of goes hand in hand, life insurance, doctor. Dr. Jabba, you know what? I was number one, been number one in the region for quite a number of years, and you know what? I'm going to just parlay this, being the doctor of life insurance.
And also, Nikita, if you see the back of my card, it says This doctor makes house calls. And that's exactly what I do. Come on. Old school. Come on.
This is one doctor that still does make. House calls. I love it. Patience of clients. It's what I do.
I love it. Yeah, that's pretty cool.
Now, I know some of the things. You know, and take take just a minute and talk about because people out there saying, you know, maybe there's plenty of people that don't have life insurance or, you know, even have, for whatever reason, maybe a negative impression of life, like, oh, I don't need that or whatever. But so just take a second and talk about the difference between having having the importance of getting it now versus later. What's the significance of that? The biggest thing I can tell folks on this, Nikita, is this here You will never be as young as you are now.
That's a fact. That's right. We can't. We can't do like share and turn back time. We can't do that.
So, the best thing we can focus on is right now. And right now, at someone's current age, Is going to be the best time for them to buy life insurance for a number of reasons. Number one, you're never going to be as young as you are right now. And number two, Health-wise, right?
Some folks could be really healthy right now. I've had some folks tell me, Jay, I think I'm going to wait for maybe a couple of years down the road. and maybe just get some life insurance then.
Well you could, but here are the factors sometimes folks don't look at. If you wait a couple of years down the road, you are going to be older. There's no way around it. Therefore your premium will be higher in a couple of years at that age than you are right now. Number two.
your health situation. You could be healthy as a horse right now and not think anything about life insurance. And that's a fair statement. But here's where the rubber meets the road, Nikita.
Sometimes the wheels could fall off the wagon.
Sometimes Your health could take a decline. It could take a turn for the worse. And you may not be healthy as you are now years down the road. It could be so bad that your health could take an a serious turn, but Not only if you did get approved, it could be at a higher rating due to your Bad health or it may even be where you get declined. that you can't get any life insurance at all.
Right. And the insurance itself, I know there's a difference between term life and whole life. And take a moment so for those out there that would consider, hey, maybe I should check into this. And as they start researching, they see those two terms, term life, whole life, we just got a few minutes left. But take a minute and tell and enlighten our listeners as to the difference between those two.
Sure. Term off insurance. can last you anywhere between a period of ten to 30 years. No cash value. If so.
Something doesn't happen to you.
something will happen to that term policy. In other words, it could end.
Some people are fine with that. They're fine with that because they know they got a big, huge coverage amount that's going to last in probably from the duration of while they have a mortgage, while they may have their kids at home, things of that nature, And some are fine with that. You've got some that are like, well, Dr. J, I like having a policy that doesn't run out. In that case, I would offer them a whole life or a permanent plan of insurance.
that they can pay on for a certain number of years. and their policy would would be paid up for the rest of their life.
Now a whole lot more permanent plan. is will cost more money than a term. because of a couple of reasons. Reason number one, those policies policies the whole life and permanent plans They do draw cash value. They grow in cash value.
Which means, Nikita, you could at some point in time If you wanted to. Stop paying on that whole out policy and cash it out if you wanted to, and you'd be receiving money back. Unlock a term. if you ever decide to put paying on it or let it lapse, There is no cash value built into those policies at all. Um Right.
It really is just like the term is: is that it? There's a period of time, and you've got peace of mind and covered for that. Period of time, you know, God forbid something happens, you have the death benefit to fall back on, whereas the whole life gives you a cash value benefit that you can utilize. I know we don't have a lot of time to dive deeper into this, but people can get more. We'll get your information to them here in just a minute where they can find out more.
But I know the whole life gives a lot more advantages in addition to the death benefit, one of which is that cash value, right? Yes, sir. Yeah. So now, so where can people, and I know we just kind of scratched the surface on this, but where can people find out more? Where can they find Dr.
J? Uh they could go to uh drj at uniforalife.com, my website. I've got a website there that addresses me, who I am, and the different products that I have with Transamerica. I'm on Facebook as well, Dr. J at Unifor Alife.
Those are two. is uniforlaugh.com. should take them right to my website. And then the Facebook would be Dr. J at Unifor Life.
And you and I F O U R. L-I-F-E, yeah. Yeah. So, I do want to, and I would encourage everyone out there. You know, I myself, I've had a whole life policy for, to Jay's point, 40-something years.
I got it back in my wrestling days, Jay, way back in my wrestling days. And so, I'm grateful that I've got that and strategizing how to best use that. And over the years, building that cash value that you're referring to. And you bring a good point, too. I want to drive home the point that if you don't have life insurance, it is possible that you are disqualified because of health reasons.
So, I would encourage you, as Jay said, check into it sooner. Than later, so that you can just have that peace of mind, you know, whether it's being able to cover the cost of a funeral or just a lot of benefits. Jade, our last you got about 60 seconds here. One of the major benefits of having a life insurance policy, tell our listeners. I'm going to address one thing right here, Nikita, that we at Trans America have that a lot of companies do not have if they do have it, it's not up to par without what we have.
And it's called living benefits. You can be living and still benefit from your life insurance policy. And here's how. If a client was ever diagnosed with illnesses, such as cancer, heart attack, stroke, ALS. blindness due to diabetes.
permanent loss of two of moral limbs, end stage renter failure, just to name a few, of the many illnesses that this pop this plan covers, based on how severe that case is someone could withdraw up to ninety percent of their death benefit. That's huge because There's so many policies to only pay out if you die. We at TransAmerica have a policy that if you're diagnosed with some of those serious illnesses, that nobody plans on having You could withdraw enough money By chance, Takita took Pay off a mortgage. Yeah. Right.
Pay off your car payments. Those things, in my opinion, are second to none that we have with Transamerica. It's been my bread and butter for 10 years. Because when you mention life insurance, Everybody's going to think one thing. It's only good if you die.
at Transamerica with what we have, we've got policies that'll be with you when you need it the most. Because let's face it, when you get those things to happen to you, The bills and everything else to keep on piling in. Yes, they do. They sure do.
Well, that's a great perk. Living benefits.
So be sure to check that out. Go to Dr. Jay Moore's website and check that out. And for those who are interested, mancamp.info. If you want to get more information, if you got excited about what Jay was sharing, about how excited his men are over there at Tri-City Baptist in Conover, North Carolina, then by all means, go to mancamp.info and get that information.
