Ladies and gentlemen. The following contest is set for one fall. Introducing first. Let's go in the other. He weighs 123 kilos.
The Russian Nightmare. Nikita Coo. Welcome to another episode, QA with Cole off The Devil's Nightmare. Welcome back, QA with Kolov, questions and answers. And, you know, I appreciate all of you out there who want to be on the show.
But you have to let me know that you need to go to koloff.net. And direct message me, shoot me an email, and say, Hey, I'd love to be interviewed by you, Nikita, the Russian nightmare. And you'll get a personal phone call from me. And today, all the way from the great lovers state of Virginia, I have Wayne Daniels with me today. Wayne, welcome to QA with Koloff.
Thank you. It's so good to be with you and just looking forward to our time together today.
Well, I am as well, and uh, of course, we're no strangers, and by that I mean, you know, you've had me, uh, you pastor a church up in Chesapeake, Virginia, and in fact, Magnum TA, Terry Allen, Magnum TA. You know, what's funny about that, Wayne, is depending on what mood I was in, I either called a Magnum TA or Maggot TA, one or the other, you know, just to insult him, right? If best I could, but uh, but. But as you pass your church up there, Kingdom Life, and of course, I've been up there a couple different times with you doing preaching on Sunday mornings, but also men's conferences. And it's just been an incredible time there.
And you're doing some great work at the church. But tell our listeners, take a moment, tell our listeners just quickly about your family, and then we'll. We'll talk about the church as well. Yeah, so thanks, Vicky. And yeah, my family, I have, of course, my wife, Vicki, of 25, a little over 25 years.
We have four daughters together, Alexa and Georgia and Riley and Isabella. Of course, Isabella's the princess. She's the youngest. Of course. All her sisters know.
And so she's only, she's actually the last one that we have at the house.
So we're actually really kind of thinking through what do we do next? And so that's kind of where we're at as far as the family is. We're getting ready to be empty nests. Uh-oh, yeah, yeah, and that is a change. People don't realize, like, like those, especially like, you know, all my daughters have young kids.
You know, I've got 12 grandkids and a couple more here on the way, but, but, um, you know. Yeah, you know, and of course they're not really thinking about that, but that's a big change when you, you know, you've had kids run around the house for 18, 20, 25 years, and all of a sudden it's quiet, right? Yes, yes. And our whole lives revolved around these girls. All of my girls were athletes.
They all were involved in everything. My oldest daughter, she was big into crew. I don't know if your listeners know about crew or not, but it's the boat racing. You know, my oldest daughter, Georgia, she was an all-state soccer player, played all the ball sports. My daughter, Riley, she was big into basketball, volleyball.
And my youngest was a competitive gymnast for a long number of years. And so all ours revolved around them, but now it's kind of slowed down as it relates to in-the-house type business.
Okay, now I got to ask you this.
So did they inherit that from you or your bride?
So both of us.
Okay. Yeah.
So, you know, I always had a ball in my hand. You know, my main sport was baseball, but I played football, basketball, all three of the main ball sports, what I consider to be, but I went to college on a baseball scholarship. And so that was my background. My wife was cross-country, and she also was a BMX racer. She, as a kid, race on ESPN.
I think ESPN only had one channel at the time.
So do you know how far this goes back? in uh in Chile and she was like eight or nine years old and was racing um BNX. She'll kill me for coming all this.
So it comes from both sides.
Well, we'll keep it a secret between you and I, and all the QA worldwide audience. We won't tell another soul.
Okay. Wow, that's pretty impressive right there. I want to say, though, for real, that is impressive. All right.
So, let me ask you this: out of curiosity, because you know, we. What we have in common is we both raised four girls.
So I'm curious about Isabella. She's the youngest, right?
So does she often claim that she's your favorite? I'm just curious. I have a reason for asking. She walks like it and she acts like it, but she doesn't necessarily say it.
Okay. See, all of my girls, my first was more a mama's girl, but the next two were absolutely dead to go.
Okay. But I believe that my wife, when Isabella was in the womb, was whispering. Sampai dead things. And so it took me years to break down. Those walls that I still unbelief in every minute, but I'm in my wife building, but I finally tapped in.
And so me and Bella have this fantastic relationship. And we do a lot of things, just her and I together. And so, but yeah, no, that's awesome. I say that because, and hopefully, my girls don't ever listen to this show right now because of that. But, but my youngest, my youngest will always say, Dad, you know you like me best, right?
You know I'm your favorite, right? I'm like, honey, I don't have any favorites. She's like, uh-huh, whatever, Dan. I love you all the same, honey. Uh-huh, whatever, Dad.
But I have to say for the record way. Man, there's just the baby of the family. There's just something. Special about the ba maybe that's just me, but there's just something special. About the baby, the family.
It's kind of like, because you know you're done too. And it's kind of like, you know, you know, until until your grandkids, like you have, you have the grandkids that come home, but in between her and when. the Lord blesses us with grandchildren. Yeah.
She's kind of the last one. And I hate to say it, you you kind of figured out a lot of things too by the time you get to the fourth kid. Oh, yeah, I know. Oh, and they let you know that too. And they let, oh, they do.
Yeah.
The oldest one for sure lets you know that. Yeah.
Yeah.
Like, I can't tell you how, and I'm sure you've heard it: like, yeah, dad, you seem not as strict with. with my baby sister as you were with me. And I'm like Yeah, honey. Get away with that. Right, right.
Exactly. I'm like, well, honey, I've mellowed over the years, I've grown up over the years. The years. I've learned some things over the years, right? And anyway, no, that's pretty funny.
That's pretty cool, actually. And well, I'll be praying for that whole, that whole. The whole empty nest thing for you, Wayne. That'll be a change. Get to know each other again, you know, got to get to know each other all over again.
That's right. You know, you're living life in a different season.
So we're excited about it, but there's some nervousness with it, too. Sure. Yeah.
Absolutely.
So we're excited. We're excited about it.
Well, so. I've been at some Kingdom Life. I mentioned, you know, I've been up there a couple of times, you know, done some of the manufacturing and some other ministry there. Take a minute for our listeners. You know, if they're in the Virginia Beach area, I know it's known as the Seven Cities, and maybe they're visiting family or they're just on holiday there, you know, spending time on Virginia Beach, but they want to learn more about Kingdom Life.
Take a minute. Tell our listeners about Kingdom Life. Yeah, so Keynov, I was actually the young adult pastor here in the mid-2000s. You know, we was able to work on staff, and the Lord did a lot of wonderful things there in that season. We had stepped out to pastor full-time or as a lead pastor and came back, though.
as the lead pastor here at Kingdom Eyes in 2020. And we had to walk through some seasons. of change and really pursue health. Health was a big thing. For me, health in the church, health in the body, health in the finances.
And the Lord has really brought us on an amazing journey. And we finally established our mission in 2023. Our mission is very simple, connecting all people to the presence of God, that they can have hope, joy, and freedom.
So we establish our mission. Everything that we do is all about connecting to the presence of God. We prioritize the presence more so than we do policy and procedure. It's all about the presence for us. And we believe that when He's present, when the Holy Spirit is present, that's where lives really change and are transformed.
So, our pursuit is that we have our simple core values of connect, grow, serve, and worship. Worship is a really foundational staple of the kingdom life church as a whole and the people. And if anyone's ever seen us online or if anyone's ever been here in person, we are tremendously blessed with amazing and anointed worship team. And so, the church is on a very, it's in the early beginnings of a very I believe it exceedingly growth. Period, and the Lord has been sending in new families every single week.
And so, we focus on hospitality, welcoming those new families in the 757 in Hampton Roads. I mean, there are hundreds, if not thousands, of churches, mega churches. There's churches on every corner. And so, we believe that when someone, the Lord has sends someone our way, then we need to really understand that they had an option of where they would attend today, but they chose us. And so, we want to make sure that it is the most wonderful, welcoming experience of their week.
And so, we focus on hospitality, worship, and in the presence of God. And so, the Lord is really blessing the ministry.
Well, a couple things that I'll mention for those who may. Watch you online or pop in sometime in person, I, for one, can say on record that. Know not only is Virginia known as the lover's state, uh, you can sense and feel the love. You know, when you walk in, your folks were so friendly to me and so loving and you know, serving and caring. I love that connect, grow, serve.
You know, I love that, you know, connecting people in worship. Yep. And connecting people to the to the presence of God. I mean that that is uh um More than evident for anyone who walks through the doors. I think they'll experience that.
And yeah, and it's just great what you're doing there and how you're impacting. Uh your community is is is uh Pretty amazing. And so we'll keep all that in prayer. And so where do people go? What website or where do they go to find out more Facebook or whatever else about Kingdom Life?
Yeah, so kingdomlife.com is our website. We actually just recently launched a new website and we we have an app that's available through the Apple Store or the Google store or uh wherever the android android users i don't know why anybody uses androids anymore but if there are android listeners out there then they can go to the Wherever they go to download their app. And I'm kidding, of course, because I'm an Apple guy. I'm an Apple guy.
So Apple and Android people don't get along. I saw a guy, I had a guy, I was speaking at a men's dinner the other night, and he had a flip. Mm. He had He then handed it to somebody. He said, Can you take a picture with us?
And the other person was kind of like staring at it. He's like, Yeah, yep. Like, push that, like, that button right there. Yeah, they have a flip phone. Hey, I gotta tell you this quick story, the real quick story, then we'll get to get to your questions.
You know, you mentioned, you made a comment talking about, you know. Hundreds of churches, thousands of churches, a church on every corner, right? Um, so so I got a buddy of mine, he's got a car dealership. In fact, he's one of the Probably the biggest or major supporter of Colaw for Christ Ministries. In fact, the car I drive, I bought from him, Brian Johnson, right?
And the Crescent Automotive down in Aiken, South Carolina. He had a guy walk in one day and he goes, He was so so how you know. Can I help you? They get in the conversation. The guy had moved down from northern, like upstate New York, right?
And the guy goes. He goes, well, Brian's like, well, how are you enjoying living here? He goes, well, I'm still kind of trying to figure that out. He goes, he goes, my gosh, he goes, you guys have like churches on every corner around here. He goes, in fact, I stopped at an intersection one day and there literally was a church on every corner.
And Brian starts laughing, you know, and he's like, well, I understand. He goes, he goes, he goes, and then he goes, and then I went into my dentist's office the other day and I thought, well, let me pick up a national geographic or, you know, let me read something while I'm waiting. He goes, And the only thing they had on the table was a Bible. That's all they had on the table was a Bible. And Brian starts laughing.
He goes, You may end up not buying a car from me. He's like, why do you say that? He goes, well, If you open your glove box, a Bible is probably going to fall out of it because we put a Bible in every car. And isn't that cool? And he goes, it is.
Okay. And so he didn't get a car that afternoon.
So then, right.
So, real quick, fast forward to the next day. Yeah I guess it won one of the sales Folks come in and go, Hey, so-and-so's back, the guy from New York, right? And he's like, Right. Oh, no. Like, he just had his, they were having a Bible study in the lobby of his dealership, like once a week.
Oh, wow. They have a Bible study in prayer time. And he's like, He's definitely not going to buy a car. No, he's going to walk in. We're praying in the middle of the business, you know, the day or whatever.
Anyway, you just made me think of that story when you said, Yeah, church on every corner and everything.
So, yeah, but talk about letting your light shine. I love it. I love to see business people that take opportunities. to not ignore and or hide from their faith, but they put their faith forward. That's right.
Absolutely.
Absolutely.

So, all right.
Well, let's let's get to your question. Uh, I don't want to run out of time here. Let's get to a couple of questions you might have for me.
So, fire away first. Yeah, I think, you know, I think the big thing, you know, it was really wonderful getting to invite and having you come in 2023 for the first time here and to hear your heart for men. I would like to know kind of where that began to stir in you, like that you really felt called to really, you know, call men to come out in faith. Could you talk to me a little bit about that? Yeah.
Yeah, sure can. And that's a great question. You know, 'cause when I when when i first you know of course many many people not everyone but a lot of people know my story you know 17 october 1993 about 11 months after leaving wrestling when i gave my life to jesus found myself at an altar on my knees surrendering my heart and and life my life's forever changed and uh from that moment on i didn't just launch right into ministry uh just quick back story you know first five years i really looking back i would say i went through a process of discipleship went on several building projects like overseas to get my hands dirty to start learning how to serve other people not just be self-serving uh which which we can very selfishly be you know as in our human nature In a fallen, broken world. And then went on several trips with my daughter's youth group and chaperoning, you know, over again, overseas and just serving, just serving, serving, serving. And then in late 98, 1998, God put Colau for Christ Ministries on my heart, and it's launched.
And initially, it was evangelism, it was like basically all evangelism. You know, winning souls to the kingdom and just going after man, woman, and child, you know, and winning them to Christ. And then I went to a camp. Wayne in Texas. I was introduced.
To a camp in 2005, handed a brochure. God put it on my heart to go to this camp. Fast forward March of 06. Went to the camp in South Texas, a five-day men's camp. And man, God just wrecked me in a good way.
I mean, absolutely ruined me in a very good way and opened my eyes to many things I had yet to realize and what it meant to be a godly man. Uh and and from that began to serve that ministry for for 12 years. Um, and then Lex Luger moved in with me for 10 months, and from the experience with that ministry, and he and I praying together, man camp. Was launched. A vision was God gave us a vision, and it was launched.
And now I look back and I say a total of 80 plus camps that I have uh facilitated. Uh And to organize and been a part of. And so, yeah, so I would say 2006 is when God really began to put men on my heart. And if I think about it, you know, with that whole wrestling background, you know, kind of a tough guy, you know, pro wrestler, champion, whatever, you know. That's how God has used that my wrestling background and persona.
As a tough guy, the Russian nightmare, right? Right. to really get the attention of man. And I believe, Wayne. Know whether they say it to me or not, they go, Well, if that tough guy can love Jesus.
and even say he loves Jesus. that I can love Jesus too. And so Yeah, so you know, we do these, we do these camps every spring and fall in, you know, kind of five-day camps where we really sew into pour into men. And the goal being, the goal being to send men back home better equipped to be a godly man, a godly husband, a godly father, a godly grandfather. And if People go onto the website.
If people go onto the website, just go to mancamp.info, mancamp.info, and you'll see a ton of testimonies, including testimonies from wives who have seen incredible changes upon their special man in their life coming home.
So, yep.
So, 2006. Yep. since 2006 was the first man camp that was the one i went to That was the one I attended. When was the first man up? Man a man can't So the first one he and I did together was in.
Well, we did our first men's conference in 2015.
Okay. 2015. And then from the man up conferences was birthed the man up. Show, uh, radio show, and the man camp.
So the conferences became like an appetizer. And uh, so, okay, yeah, we've been doing the man camps for a I guess seven seven, eight years or uh now you lose kind of lose track right so Yep. Sure, sure. Yep. And you're doing two a year, one in the spring, one in the fall.
Yeah, one in one in April, one in October, one in the spring, one in the fall. Small groups, we limit it to you know, typically 15, 20 guys, max 25, just for the effectiveness, you know, the be able to sew into kind of a one-on-one in a way for these guys and make it real personable for them and build some real relationship with these guys. And so, yeah, it's I love what you're doing. I, I, you know, I love the prioritization of that call, and and and I can certainly appreciate too. of how you began as an evangelist and how the Lord, you know, that was the beginning, but then you turn the page and you go into the next season of ministry and calling.
And then who knows what the next one may be?
So that's amazing to see. Absolutely.
And yeah, so I'm thrilled to, with all the stories that even just kind of roll, Rolodex of stories through my mind of men. And let me just say this, and we'll get to your next question. The four most common words I hear at the end of the week from not necessarily every single band, but the four most common words I hear, a guy will look at me eye to eye and he'll say, this. was life changing. This was life-changing.
I'm sure. I'm sure. So, all right.
You got one more for me, at least? Yeah, so I got two, but maybe there'd be short answers. One is. Of course, you are a guy's guy, the wrestling persona. But one thing, again, to know you, you're a worshiper.
You're a prayer warrior. You're an intercessor. I see these. You know, because I've been in service with you, and so I see your heart.
So I want to know what is, how do you feel when you hear that from? From a from a man, and/or you're able to see over the course of a weekend. Where man began, and he had his guard up, he had his armor on, and you know, just you know, you know there was just no, no, you know, you didn't see any kind of emotion there, and then all of a sudden. a few days later or a few hours later and you see that transformation. take place you know you physically can see it how how does that make nikita feel Well, I guess the first thing comes to mind is it's incredibly rewarding, right, to see a guy who's impacted.
And not even for the record, not even by me, not by Lex, not by anyone on our staff per se, although we have opportunities to sew into these men. And as I said, you know, kind of break down the barriers and build relationships with them. But more than anything, the Holy Spirit, right? The work of the Holy Spirit on the hearts of men. And that's one thing, like, you know, I showed the promotional video at your church, right?
The man camp video with Lex. And Lex said, and he's 100% accurate when he says it's amazing to see guys come in on day one and shuffle their feet and eyes to the ground. They won't even make eye contact with you. And you've experienced this, I know, even for yourself, from the things you've done. But then, especially at the camps on day five, When man, they're laughing and hugging guys and just smiles from, you know, grinning like a Cheshire cat, and just to see the changes in them.
Man, you can't even put a price tag on that, Wayne. You just can't. And And it's not, you know, and that's not to say that can't happen over a few hours at a conference because it can. But what we have found from experience is sometimes it takes a day or two. For guys to, as you said, take that armor off or let that guard down.
That's right. And then to begin to fully embrace. And so, yeah.
So incredibly rewarding. Yes, sir. Yep, it's good. And I will say, you know, even at our conference that we just recently had together, you know, I said it's amazing where, you know, where the guys were at. At five o'clock on Friday, six o'clock on Friday, and then where they were at five o'clock on Saturday was amazing to see.
Just bless my heart. And I knew because I could see your passion for the men. I could see your passion for their transformation to take place. I knew how rewarding that must feel.
So I just wanted your listeners to be able to hear how awesome that is to see God at work. And so, the other thing that I will go ahead. No, no, I was just going to just tag on real quick to that. You know, the, you know, the scripture where, you know, God's a discerner of the heart, and, you know, he'll separate bone from marrow. And he, so, so, you know, when the presence of God, because you mentioned one of the key things for your church is, you know, connecting people to the presence of God.
And the presence of God is certainly in your church, and your worship team certainly leads us into his presence. And then, man, his presence begins to do all the work. Amen. You know, see, we say, we, we joke and say, as a staff at our camps, we try to do our best to stay out of God's way, let God do what He does best, you know.
So, that's right. All right.
So, I know you got one more for me, you said. Yeah, yeah.
So, it really kind of piggybacks off the other. You know, one of the things when I was. You know, when I was introduced to you and invited you to come, you know, I didn't know a lot about you other than. the shared relationships that you and I have together. And it's been wonderful, wonderful, wonderful comments.
And of course they shared that with me. That's why I called and invited you to come and you were able to come. But I don't always allow like the speaker for like a women's conference or a men's conference to just speak on a Sunday. And so I said, you know, I don't know, you know, because I'm thinking Nikita, the Russian nightmare, I'm thinking Nikita that way. And I said, I don't know how he'll do when all the ladies are in the room too and the kids.
And so, you know, but I prayed. I've just prayed. And the Lord just said, no, you have him Sunday morning. And so I just want to kind of just say how wonderful it was. To see how the Lord used you so mightily direct to men, but then how the Lord used you to minister to the entire body.
And it was a powerful both Sunday mornings you've been with us have been so powerful. And I will say, right in alignment with where we were spiritually in that season without you and I having conversations. Yeah, even talking about it, right? Yeah.
Prior to. And so I just want to ask, really, you know, with that, you know, the ministry on a Sunday as it relates to this, the body of Christ. Does that, do you go in, do you change your preparation, you know, whether you're at a men's conference or a camp or whether you're going into our Sunday, or is it the same process? Whenever you're walking into a ministry moment? Man, that's a great question.
And I do appreciate that. Let me. Let me get to that. Just I want to tell you a quick funny story that popped my head as you were saying that because I was at my resource table after a Sunday service one time, and this elderly lady, and when I say elderly, she was very elderly. She was very seasoned.
And she came up and she looked at me and goes, Wow. I got to tell you something. She kind of said it that way, too. I'm like, okay, she goes, I heard this wrestler was going to come to our church and preach on Sunday morning. I thought, what's some wrestler going to tell me or say to me and tell about Jesus?
Right. And I'm like, I'm just like standing there. And I'm like, okay, where's she going with this? She goes, but I. I gotta tell you.
You really blessed me. I had no idea. I'm glad I wanted. She goes, I wasn't even going to come today. She goes, but I came.
She goes, but I came. And I got to tell you, you really blessed me. She goes, you really blessed me. I forget all the expletive words, all the words she used, but she was very complimentary and it really busted my heart. know to to know that it blessed her but so on on on that on that note um yeah Yeah, I um You know, I spend a lot of time.
You mentioned, you know, praying, interceding, worshiping. You know, the Lord has developed in me a real, you know. I don't know. Have the heart of a worshiper, to understand there's a time to be a warrior and there's a time to be a worshiper. And not to say I patterned my life after David, but he was certainly both, right?
He was a warrior and a worshiper. And over the years, I've become more and more of an intercessor in terms of prayer. And learning how to intercede, you know, and pray for other people's needs and all that sort of thing.
So Two things I do once I put something on the calendar is I begin to pray and I fast. Like I live a fasted lifestyle. That's good. And mean without going into detail, meaning you know, I you know, fasting is as much a part of my life as eating is a part of my life. And so, you know, yeah, and so seeking the Lord, on you know, Lord, is there something specific?
for this particular Sunday audience.
So, I'm, you know, I'm typically searching that. And sometimes, you know, he gives me an answer right away.
Sometimes, you know, it's at the 11th hour, right? Before he really kind of hones me in on what message to deliver to that audience. that day. And um and and typically you're not the first to say to me like, Wow, your message like really fell right in line with what we've been talking about or what we've been preaching or speaking, or you know, that sort of thing.
So that encourages me to, you know, it's like, okay, I'm hearing from the Lord, you know, amen. And then for men, yeah, spirit-led. Yes. And then for men, for men. Obviously, as I've said, whether it was Lex and I are just spending time in prayer.
Developing these man-up conferences and now man-up dinners and man-up breakfasts and man camps. The Lord has been very strategic, I feel, and very specific on curriculum and/or subject matter that he wants me to bring to those audiences. In a sense, I approach it the same way, in a sense, but the messages are typically. Tailored to whatever audience I'm speaking to that day. And I think that's, again, I think the key there is.
You're following the Lord because that to me is what the Lord will do if you follow him. He'll have that moment, he'll have whoever you're ministering to in that moment. He'll have you follow a certain path so that you can make the most impact. And so I love it. I appreciate so much your heart.
Thank you for certainly, you know, the time that we've had together in the course today as well. I appreciate you and look forward to it. I know we talked about come. Coming back in the future, I look forward to coming back. Second weekend of next November.
