Thank you for listening. ...who at the time was only fifteen and a half managed to turn the wheel slightly to the right, thus she avoided hitting the driver's door. But she still hit the passenger door on the driver's side and knocked the cab off the frame. This caused all of the damage to be on the driver's side of the vehicle. I was seated here on the passenger side of the vehicle when we made impact. And I dove from the passenger side to the driver's side in order to shield my daughter from the tools coming through this windshield. The Word of God says, The Lord is my strength and my shield. My heart trusted in Him and I am helped.

Therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth and with my song will I praise Him. And so I dove from the passenger seat to the driver's seat in order to become her airbag. If you're able to look closely at the picture, you can see there's blood on the steering wheel, blood on the dash, and a circle in red of the blood on the seat. My daughter, in fact, was covered in my blood.

As you can see by the other circle of the picture on the right, this is where the hole was in the windshield where the tools came through. Upon impact with the truck, everything in the vehicle slowed down. And I saw my daughter and I saw the panic in her eyes. And I heard the Holy Spirit telling me that I had to get to my daughter in order to protect her. And so I was able to release my seat belt and dive towards her.

But when I did that, my face and my head hit the steering wheel as I knocked the tools down with my hands, breaking my hands and my wrists. When the car came to a stop, my daughter said that there was no life in me. She felt for a pulse, but I had none. And then she said that my body convulsed three or four times, and then I sat up. And I looked at her with my face looking like the face you see on the screen.

But she said that I said nothing, and then I looked straight ahead. When the emergency personnel arrived and was able to get me out of the vehicle, they called my wife and said, you better get to the hospital. We don't think he's going to live.

They gave me a two percent chance to survive. But my wife is a woman of great faith, and she began to pray with this verse in mind. Many are saying of me, God will not deliver him. But you, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory and the one who lifts my head high. I call out to the Lord, and he answers me from his holy mountain. I lie down and sleep. I wake again because the Lord sustains me. I will not fear, though tens of thousands assail me on every side. For the course of the next five days, I had 17 surgeries and I died three more times.

Hallelujah. And for six weeks they fed me with a feeding tube and they breathed for me and they told my family we don't know if he's going to make it. This x-ray shows that I broke the base of my skull on both sides and I broke my neck at C3 front and back. I also broke my back in three places between T1 and T5. Just these injuries alone could have killed me.

This is a picture of the scar on my back where they did the surgery. Remember I told you that I knocked the tools down with my hands and my wrists. These x-rays show all of the fractures in both of my hands and my broken wrists. But in addition to breaking my hands and my back and my neck and the base of my skull and my face, I also broke the lower part of my body. On the left side of my body, I broke my pelvis, my hip and my femur. In addition to the damage that I did to the upper part of my left leg, I also had a double compound fracture of the tibia and the fibula on my left leg. And they said to me, Mr. Young, this is your good leg. Can you imagine breaking all of the bones in your hip and your leg and them telling you that this is your good leg?

Sounds pretty crazy, doesn't it? That's because on my right leg, I damaged the top of the tibia and the bottom of the right knee. I destroyed them. I severed all of the nerves and the main artery below my right knee as well. And so because of that, I was bandaged up virtually all over my entire body. They had to use these halos that you see in the bottom picture on both legs while my bones healed.

And you can see that I had both of my hands wrapped up as well. Because of the severity of the damage to my lower right leg, there was a great deal of swelling. And so because of that swelling, they had to release the swelling and pull out the excess fluid.

They call this a fasciotomy. Every day, they would have to come in and they would have to change out that sponge in that tube. This is a video of them coming in and doing the checking on me. Every morning, they would come in and pull all the sponges out.

And then they would put in new sponges and a new tube and restart the motor to suck the fluids. You can see how severe it is and how big the incision was. And this is the reason why I was unable to use my right leg. So for six weeks, I was in intensive care with them breathing for me and feeding me through these tubes. The second picture here shows the first time that I ever sat up. And at this point, they had put me in a tracheotomy.

It took eight people to get me out of the bed and put me into this chair. That's because of how severely injured I was. In picture number three, I was in acute care and I was really beginning to recover. And the final picture was one of the visits that my daughter, Jackie, who was in the accident with me, made to see me. This is the very first time that I was able to come home. And I came up the ramp in front of my house. What you might notice is that my right leg was bandaged up.

I was not yet able to use it. And I had a patch over my left eye, but they had told me that I'd never make it to this point. And glory to God, I did. A little bit later in my recovery, this was one of the machines that I worked on to get some of my mobility back. Now many have asked me about my daughter, Jackie, and how did she do? This is her off to the left in this family picture that was taken just a few months after I got home from the hospital. The picture up here with the red circle is a picture of my arm where the seat belt didn't completely release. And the picture of me in the cowboy hat and the woman sitting next to me, that is my beautiful wife Patricia, a woman of faith who was with me every step of the way. And finally the picture down here of the three men, that's myself, my Congressman Chip Roy and Congressman Jim Jordan.

And the singular picture of me is after I had voted in our elections here in the United States. Many have asked me, how was your daughter, Jackie? Jackie only had minor damage, minor muscular injuries to her lower back and the lower part of her pelvis. But they released her from the hospital on the same day and this is a picture of her and her husband on the day of their wedding. Hallelujah, five years after the accident which was in July of 2017, in March of 2022, I was able to walk Jackie down the aisle on her wedding day. God's promise to us in Psalm 27, the word says, I had fainted unless I believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. And then the word says, wait on the Lord, be of good courage and He shall strengthen thine heart, wait I say on the Lord. And so I walked Jackie down the aisle and then I turned around and I officiated the wedding between Isaac and Jackie, hallelujah.

And this is a picture of my entire family celebrating that day and also celebrating that I could be there. And I want to celebrate that God saved my life so that I could be here with you tonight and tell you how much this God loves you. I want to express to you how He reveals Himself to us. How many of you would like to know more about this God that saved my life?

Hallelujah. Let me tell you that there are three ways in which God reveals Himself to us. The first way that He reveals Himself to us is in the creation around us. If you look up right now, perhaps you can see some of the stars that He created. I want you to know that God created everything around us. He created the air that we breathe, the food that we eat, the liquid that we drink and even the materials for the clothes that we wear.

Now some say that we came from just an unexplained explosion. Imagine for a moment that you had someone come to your home. I had the pleasure of ministering to some dear people from India years ago in Modesto California. Imagine at the end of the service there was always a meal that was served. Like the meal that we look forward to serving you tonight. So imagine that they come to your home and you're going to prepare food for them to eat when the visitor comes.

Turn to your neighbor and say, I'm a pretty good cook, they're going to like this. And so your guest arrives and sits at the table and you bring out the plates of food and you set them down in front of them. And then you dish them up and they put the food on their plate and they begin to eat. And as they eat they're like saying, this is really good.

Turn to your neighbor and say, see I told you I was a good cook. And they finish all of the food on their plate and they put their empty plate down. And then they look at you and they say, did you have an explosion in your kitchen?

And you look at them and you say, what do you mean? And they say, well you must have had an explosion in your kitchen and all this food just landed on these plates. Turn to your neighbor and say, this guest is kind of crazy. But your guest gets up and walks into the kitchen trying to figure out where the explosion happened. And you try to be very nice to the guest and now they start to pull things out of the cupboard and they start to get into more of your food and more of your things.

But you decide, I'm just going to let them be and you go to sit down in your living room. But it begins to get a little bit late and the next thing you know they've gone down the hall and they're now sleeping in your bed. And so now you discover that you're going to have to sleep on your sofa. And the next morning you have to get up because you have to go out to work. And as you wake up you hear noise in your kitchen and the guest is back in your kitchen again. And you think, well surely when I start to go they're going to leave with me.

Because you have to get to work. And so they walk with you to the door but when you get to the door they say bye bye. And they stay in your house and they send you off to work.

But you're running late so you don't have time to stay and argue. And now while you're gone they go back into your kitchen and in your house and they begin to make a mess. And then they decide to invite some of their friends to come over and their friends come over to your house while you're at work. And now at the end of the day you're tired and you come home. And when you open your door you look and you say, oh my goodness, what have they done to my house? And your guest says, you know, your house is a mess and there's no food. You need to fix this.

Turn to your neighbor and say, now I know he's crazy. Now I want to tell you that the God that created all of you see around you is the God who also owns all that you see around you. And so we use his food, his water, his air, his life that he's given to us. But oftentimes we forget to say thank you.

Instead we shake our fist and we say, why are things the way that they are? Often many of the problems that we have are because of choices that we made. Oftentimes choices that we made that are in opposition to what our Creator would want us to do. Those things that are contrary to what the Creator has asked of us. The Bible calls those things sin. And in reality, all of our sin leads to death. It opens the door for evil to have its way in our lives. And it keeps us separated from this loving God. Because it sends a message to him that says, I don't need you. I don't want you.

I don't like you. Now God the Creator understood something. He understood that we were born with this rebellious nature.

And that we had violated these laws and there would be a penalty to be paid for that violation. But because He loves us so much, He sent His Son Jesus Christ to pay that price. And so God who created all of this, God who breathed His breath of life and gave His Spirit to us, also gave us a portion of another gift that allows us to have the ability to believe in Jesus Christ. And that gift that He gave is He gave every man a measure of faith. Turn to your neighbor and say, I have been given the gift of faith. But we also have to recognize that we have committed sins against God.

His understanding that we've committed sins against God completes the reason why Jesus laid down His life. Jesus Christ gave His life so that we could have a new life in Him. How many of you tonight would like to pray with me so that you can receive this new life?

Hallelujah. I'm going to ask you to keep your hands raised and I want you to pray as William says the words that I speak, I want you to repeat them. Jesus Heavenly Father, I come before you tonight because I know that I have sinned against you. Some sin I have committed with knowledge and some sin I have committed that I did not understand. But I know that this sin has caused a separation between you and I.

And I ask you now to please forgive me of all of my sin. I believe that you sent your son Jesus Christ. I believe that He is the Son of God. I believe that He never sinned. And I believe that He gave His life so that I could be forgiven of my sin. I believe that He shed blood to cleanse me of all my sin. I believe that He hung on the cross and died as punishment in place of me for the sin that I committed. I believe that He died and that He rose again on the third day.

I believe that He ascended and is seated at your right hand. And I believe that He defeated sin and death. And so tonight I choose to repent so that I might receive remission of my sins. But my sin will be taken away from me and I will no longer be guilty. But I am now a new creation in Christ. Now I'm going to ask you to take and place your hands on your head and make this declaration. I am crucified with Christ.

I want you to say it like you believe it. I am crucified with Christ. Nevertheless I live. But not I but Christ Jesus lives in me. And the life that I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God who I believe loves me and gave His life for me.

I choose right now to make Jesus Christ the Lord of my life. And so therefore I have been given authority. Not my authority but His authority working in me.

And using that authority I make this declaration. In the name of Jesus Christ I break every curse, spell, tie, mark, vow, seal and contract, and every assignment that the evil one or any of those that are working for Him have sent against me or my family. I ask the angels of the Most High God to use the fire of the Holy Spirit to burn all of that up and cast it into the abyss. If there are any evil spirits in me, near me, or around me I ask the angels of the Most High God to bind them and take them to the throne of God for judgment. And if any of them are human, let the gospel message be shared with them on the way.

And now I ask the Holy Spirit to fill me with His light and fire. And if any of them are human, let the gospel message be shared with them on the way. And if any of them are human, let the gospel message be shared with them on the way. And if any of them are human, let the gospel message be shared with them on the way. And if any of them are human, let the gospel message be shared with them on the way. And if any of them are human, let the gospel message be shared with them on the way. And if any of them are human, let the gospel message be shared with them on the way. And if any of them are human, let the gospel message be shared with them on the way.
