It is Mental Health Awareness Month. And we'll be talking about that as well. And certainly what they're doing to our children. It's the destruction of a child's mental health. And that's what they're doing in our public school system.

And then those of us that call that out and parents that show up at meetings are referred to as domestic violent extremists. Good morning, Rick Manning. Welcome aboard. Jump on in.

The water's warm. How are you, my friend? What used to be considered a mental illness or the entire history of the world is now being declared normative. And those who are sitting there saying, wait a second, I don't want my kids forcibly transitioned without my permission are being called terrorists. Pretty interesting change. And I don't see a lot of tolerance since that's supposed to be the big word.

No tolerance for alternative opinions. Well, I'm good. I'm good. And we'll throw this in. And then I know you're going to ask me another question about something that happened overseas.

And I'll tell you, I'll describe that in a minute. Two quick things. One, we're going to talk about the China and the CCP and they have police stations here in the United States. So far, they have persuaded 230,000 Chinese that they better return to China or there might be dire consequences. One of the stories that's out suggests that they said either return or commit suicide.

Those are your options. I'm going to tell a quick story. Back in 1986, my wife and I were living in Texas. We went to California for our honeymoon.

We were in San Francisco. As you know, I'm a Cold War Russian linguist vet. So we were in the Macy's department store in San Francisco and I overheard some people speaking in Russian. And whenever that happens, and even to this day, I'm like, oh man, I'm going to go test out my Russian and have a little conversation.

There's still some remnant of that left in my mind. And so I went around and I started to speak to them in Russian. I turned around to say to my wife and my best man and best friend and his girlfriend, hey, come on over here.

I want you to meet. And I turned back around and they were ghosts. I mean, they were gone in a hurry. And I thought about it and it made me realize these poor people likely had no idea who I was and thought I might well be connected to the KGB. And back in those days in 1986, the KGB hunted Russians living in America, just like the CCP is being allowed to do here in our country today, Rick.

Yeah, it's astonishing. It truly is astonishing that our government allows them to have police stations here in America. And it's a, you know, there's expelling the occupants, those police stations, the occupants of those police stations and sending them back home is a basic act of sovereignty.

And yet we're allowing for that to occur. And the number, 230,000 is an astonishingly large number of people who have been compelled to go back home. And remember, one of the things that happens is the way they get compelled is they say, we're going to shoot your family unless you come home.

That's one of the ways they get compelled to come home. It's the same pressure that people who have family in China face if they're in our academic institutions and involved in research. You know, it's the same pressure exists to turn that research over and become research spies for the Chinese because of the threat to their families. Well, and, and sadly, our Department of Justice is using those kinds of tactics on American citizens regarding January 6. Let's, you know, they're using those same kinds of tactics.

They're using those same kinds of tactics. Now, now we have another story of another individual who was arrested by the FBI, all dressed in military gear at gunpoint at his front door. Another one, we have Mark Halk, we have that story. A lot of people know about that.

But there's another story along the same line of Paul Vaughn experienced the same thing on the same kinds of charges. Look, I, you know, to me, this is the this is local law enforcement issues. Number one, these Planned Parenthood abortion mills. And by the way, they there there are two things Planned Parenthood is now engaged in. We know that they are about killing babies. But now they are also about mutilating young girls bodies.

That is one of their that's their number one moneymaker now Rick is is transitioning these young girls and convincing them to have this mutilative mutilative and irreparable surgery. Wow, I didn't know that. That's astonishing.

That's astonishing. You know, and and and so here we have people that are pro life, that are standing out in front going, stop, okay. And, and, you know, there are hundreds of 1000s of stories of women who say, you know, I was I was lied to Monica Klein, who was who was associated with Planned Parenthood for 10 years, talks about how she was, you know, kind of indoctrinated. indoctrinated by the Planned Parenthood idea. And, and but see, they're able they've started this now, at, you know, four and five years of age. So at four and five years of age, you send your child off to preschool or kindergarten, and your little girl and your little boy are being indoctrinated by Planned Parenthood in a in a in a very succinct and precise manner of of mental, psychological manipulation and indoctrination that's taking place and and they are told at even at that age.

Now don't go tell mommy and daddy these things. It's astonishing. Can we get to some good news? Yes.

And the, you know, our ability because of the fact that we are believers in Jesus Christ and the faith of the Son of God dwells in us to speak to mountains and call those mountains to move. Very good. It's a, I know we want to talk about PayPal, but I will tell you, I'm studying Elijah right now and you sit there and you watch this guy just sit there and be, you know, no doubt in his mind God's going to rain fire down and burn the burn, you know, the burnt offering. But the key thing is his prayer. His prayer is never about Elijah. It's never about Elijah's needs. It's about bringing the people of Israel back to the Lord. It's about bringing glory to God.

It's never about Elijah's personal needs or any of those things. And that's a pretty, it's pretty significant. It's pretty amazing. And he goes off where he's told and ravens feed him.

An unclean animal is used to feed him. And it's a, it's just really an amazing testimony to what absolute pure faith looks like and what we should aspire to. So most people don't go to the Old Testament, but 1 Kings 15, 16, 17, 18 is pretty amazing.

It is. It's, it's, it's a, it's an incredibly powerful story and it's important to understand as well that Elijah confronted the leadership of the nation, the king and queen of Israel and called them to account for the evil that they were allowing and that they were funding and that they were supporting and that they were putting the people under. He called them out for doing those things and demanded that they stop. And then the curse fell and the years of drought came upon the nation because of its sin and rebellion. There's a great story there about, you know, encouraging us as believers, this idea of just sitting back and oh, you know, separation to church and state and all that. Well, 1 Kings 15, 16, 17 and 18 is certainly not about the separation to church and state. In fact, it's about God having a say in, in what goes on in Israel and our founders returned us to a pre-king day when it was we the people directly connected to God that are accountable and responsible for running this country. Yeah, what's more, when you look at the, on a redemption message, God wasn't calling to Judah.

We had the split kingdom at that point. He was calling to Israel. Israel 50, 60, 70 years after the kingdom split and I guess there were seven kings between when the kingdom split, when Elijah comes on the scene and you're looking at, and so God hadn't given up on those who had broken away. God was calling them back to him and that's the amazing piece about it. That is the redemption.

People, we know the Levites came back very early, but people came and bowed down and declared the Lord God and, you know, presumably emigrated back to Judea where they could be worshipping the one true God at the temple. So it's a, you get down to it, it shows how God never gives up on his people. He's always calling to us. So if you're, you know, people feel hopeless and you know, we're so far gone. No, God is always calling for his people looking for that revival. Amen. So don't let hopelessness take you over because God is hope and we need to cling to that hope knowing that he wants his people restored. And to bring that also around to a specific, you know, in the news headline issue, PayPal on Friday, late Friday, came out with its new guidelines, which said that basically 20, they were going to find individuals $2,500 for conversations like what Rick and I just had.

$2,500 potentially starting in the beginning of November. There was such a huge outcry about it that they then came out late yesterday or early yesterday at some point yesterday and said, oh, no, that was a mistake. That really wasn't supposed to be released that those were those were, you know, whatever, whatever, whatever. But no, we're not going to do that. We're not going to make that happen. And even the one of the former founders of PayPal came out and said that was insanity and spoke out against it.

And remember that Peter Thiel was the original founder and he is, you know, associated with giving money to Republicans and conservatives. So we're out of time. Rick, thank you. I appreciate it. Well I'm very excited to welcome my next guest to the program. She is the author or co-author of His Child and we're talking about the issue of mental health and mental health awareness.

This is a 40-day prayer guide and devotional for new creation born on a rock bottom who is trying to find a way out of the hot misery or messery, the old creation and becoming a new creation in Christ. I want to welcome to the program Marci Friesner. Did I say that right?

Friesner? You did. Thank you Pastor Greg. Very few people.

I think you and Eden. Well Marci thank you. I was a Russian linguist in the Air Force many many years ago so the first thing they made you do was go through this really crazy English grammar class.

Well you know phonetics are out the window over here in American English. Well along with so many other things, my next segment is actually going to be on detransitioning and the issues that have been associated with the indoctrinating that's happening to our children and what's being done to our kids. And I think that plays a huge role in understanding who we really are and our value. I mean mental health awareness and mental health has to begin with an understanding of the value that we've been given through our Creator.

Pastor Greg you could just end the segment right there. I mean that seriously is it. That is totally it.

There's a great book. It's been rewritten a couple times but Neil T. Anderson's Victory Over the Darkness. Absolutely. That is the whole premise from beginning to end and the sooner we can recognize our identity in Christ you are absolutely right. That is the heart. That is it.

That was perfect. Well but the problem is that all of that has been redefined. Okay.

I mean when I say you know you find your definition or what have you in God or in how He's created you, the definition of God has been created, the idea of gender fluidity so now it's you know well you're not really a man, you're not a woman, you're sis which is that flow if you will. I mean so while you're right you know if the words that I just said actually still had the same connotations, definitions and values that you and I understand them to have and many of my audience may believe that they have but we're talking about you know if you're under the age of 45 really at this point you may question what it is that you and I about the statement that I just made. Can we talk about that for a minute? For sure.

Yeah we can absolutely. I think that a lot of it stems from honestly within the church. We've heard a lot of people within the church and the sooner the church can recognize that and apologize for that. I'm not talking about offense.

Okay. Somebody being offended is on them. I'm talking about real hurt, real woundedness. I actually have a couple of students who at the sound of Jesus or the idea that we're Christian are just going to do this. They're going to put their fingers in their ears.

At the same time my ministry partner Jess and I here at SaltMite Academy we aren't going to just let that go but we are gently, lovingly helping them as Jesus would do say for instance the woman at the well. No judgment. Although we have the right.

We have the right to be fruit inspectors. Correct? But one of those is a senior in high school repeating his or her, repeating her senior year because of the challenges that she faced. And I'm telling you this because she had an experience with her grandma going to church on Easter right here in Swansboro, North Carolina.

That was incredible. She said for the first time in her life, she's 17 years old, 18 actually just turned 18. For the first time in her life, she experienced a church service that she wasn't extremely uncomfortable in or, or feeling, you know, really bad about herself in such a way that it reflected on the people whose judgment for maybe her clothing choices or her hairstyle or something like that. And then when you boil all of that down, it's really, it really is not about the Christian church, it's really about some woundedness that happened very early in her life with people who call themselves Christians. So this, this all circles together this is all interwoven with what you're talking about what we're experiencing with this mental health crisis. So, do I believe that this person has a gender identity crisis, absolutely not. I believe this person has a woundedness that nobody's been willing to talk about, or nobody's allowed her to really get to and once we can get deep down into those roots.

We can truly start helping people. And you know it's interesting because that's one of the things that that will will is discussed there, the movie the D it's called the D transition diaries and I would encourage you to watch it I think you'd enjoy it. I know, I mean it was, I don't know if enjoys the correct word, you know what I'm saying but I mean it's it's so powerful and impactful regarding this topic because one of the things as I've looked at this Walt higher ministries talks a lot about this as well is, you know, these young people who are who are led to believe that their gender dysphoria is is a reality that they are in fact trapped in the wrong body number one. Number two, they are then led to believe that if they embrace the the new paradigm of what of what this transition will be or what will happen in transition that somehow that's going to take away and fix everything. And then they get to the, you know, near the other side or on their way to the other side or what have you, and, and realize, nothing is fixed, nothing is changed. You know the the real issues are much deeper than that, and, and that they can embrace who God created them to be and and find a peace and a joy and a happiness and so on in the midst of that, but they've got to get to that level where the healing needs to begin. Right.

No, you're exactly right. And that is the whole. That's the whole package of this little book that you just told people about it, the title is his child, I mean that that's it right there all of it. And then it each day's devotion is a breath prayer, and it is really truly trying to help people who are willing to go there I mean you can read it all day long right. Are we reading the Bible for information, that's good in and of itself, are we reading the Bible for revelation, even better, right let's read the scriptures let's get more than what is just information, or are we reading the Bible for transformation. So, when we step it up when we step our game up and we start reading for transformation, the same is true of this devotional Yeah, you could read it from cover to cover just be like okay so there's some good information there and essay more and I the co author and I agreed that the scripture passages are more important than anything else in the book so the scriptures that we were given by the Holy Spirit to tie in with the breath prayers are more important than anything here I wrote, because they have life because they have power because it's living. And so, again, if we can apply those scriptures to transform our lives. We can get to those roots the roots will be exposed. And then we've got to have a healthy place.

And this is another thing we haven't created for people under 45, we haven't created safe healthy spaces for them to have those roots exposed, what they think is a safe and healthy place is the bar or these little, they have these gatherings of people right who are like minded, which is exposing the real in such a way that they just say oh well let's continue to push this, this, you know, change in our gender or change in our identity. Without getting the safe healthy structures and places that they need to be getting right for the for the real well for the real yeah for the real healing to uncover the real issue that is at hand, which is a nature that that we have inherited that we were born with that is destructive. Right, and, and that's the sin nature I mean when when when the word says that sin is death. That's a that's a fact folks that's a reality. And what Jesus Christ came and did was he said, I'm going to take that nature, and I'm going to take it to the cross, and we're going to get rid of it, it needs to die, and I'm going to give you I'm going to deposit in you a new nature.

It's the nature that I intended for you. It's, it's, it's, it's who I wrote out that you actually could and would and should and are supposed to be in the eyes of your father. And, and, and, you know, and and unfortunately, and we'll get into this we're going to take a break here real quick but you know, not only are the bars the place where that club happens but unfortunately churches are formed predicated on that same concept of well, we're just going to go ahead because they don't understand the power of the cross they don't understand the power of Jesus's words written out in john, it is finished back with more coming up right after this brief break, my passion is the fight for freedom. That to love also means to be willing to take the risk necessary to confront a friend with the truth in hopes that their heart will be turned because their life matters even if it means in that moment they will possibly hate me. It means that I must risk scorn to stand for truth and that I can never sit silently by while evil attempts to conquer the world. God is my everything and Jesus is the love of my life. That does not make me weak but strong, not silent but bold and not fearful but courageous. Therefore if you are my friend while we may not fully agree know that I share what I share because I care. If you strongly disagree with these beliefs they are not debatable for me and you can if you choose unfriend me. I do not say this in anger but in love. I wish for you eyes to see and ears to hear that Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation and that God not man gets to decide what is truth, life and the way.

God bless you. I want to get this kind of thrown out there too and I'm very transparent about this. Folks listen to me regularly know that in 2004 I was given three to six months to live because my adrenal and pituitary glands stopped working and my endocrine system collapsed and those create issues with depression and all of those kinds of things because the chemistry is not there. And at one point they had me on Cymbalta, Seroquel, Topamax, all of that kind of stuff. And in 2006 we cut it all off and to this day I use naturopathics. And that's all I use is naturopathics and you know we talk about God's divine intervention and I don't want to take it because I want to get back to but it's a part of this is understanding your process of what God is doing.

Because I got sick in 04 because I've been taking the naturopathics and was on them for 13 years DHEA and all the different things that a normal 55 year old body would not have in them. I've never seen anybody with all of that and the head of nursing at Galen nursing in San Antonio nursing school came into my acute care rehab room saw an empty bed thought it was mine thought I had died looking at my file had a conversation with me brought her whole class of 30 nurses in and said ladies once we when we go through this file. I needed you to see him before you saw the file because I'm going to introduce you and I am introducing you to the only living cadaver you will ever meet. I say all that to tell you that God has plan God has purpose you are in fact here we go his child and it's so important to understand to get to the root of this so you can get the healing that you need right right well and then walking that out we started to talk right before the break. And people are not understanding that the grace of God, Jesus, Jesus pouring out his blood. His grace that covers is not an excuse to send its permission to turn from sin. So we've got this crazy idea in the church today. You know, we some call it hyper grace that I can live any way I want to live. I want to act and that grace covers it. Grace is not an excuse to sin and the sooner we can recognize what is sin. I mean that you know that's another thing, Pastor Greg we can I'm sure we could go on forever about, you know, what people view as sin and what others don't see a sin, but God will reveal in his word he does he tells you exactly what is in black and white and the sooner we would be willing to deal with it. The sooner we'll find the freedom that we need healing. Yeah, well it's it's it's like you know when if you're going to try and help deal with an addiction.

The first thing you have to do is make the confession. I'm an addict. Right, right. Yeah, I have I have an addiction issue it is it is one of the, you know, things about the 12 step process right the alcoholics anonymous you know I am an alcoholic you you're you're making that confession because you have to begin at the point of acknowledging the problem.

So you can then apply the solution. Right. Yeah, and when we walk out our identity in Christ. I lived as a house mom for women in recovery for a little over a year and have been working with them for several years now but I tell them to when you know your identity in Christ, you don't claim that you are an alcoholic you don't claim that you're an addict because your words have power, you say, I am in recovery for or I am walking in healing from those words really mean a lot. Yeah, well you've you've got it you've got a condition start to condition your mind to accept the process that's happening in the healing that is taking place, and ultimately that confession of faith is I am healed in Christ.

I am a new creation in Christ and that's the good news and it's so as a pastor you know it's it's frustrating to me to watch the church, having lost the sense of its authority and power in Christ, to encourage people to walk into the freedoms and the liberties that Christ has paid such a great price for. Okay, and, and, and to and to say well you know I you know I've got to wait till I die until I'm free of whatever. Folks I'm telling you Jesus Christ didn't say sin death. Yeah, he said I overcame sin and death, two separate issues.

Right. Sin is overcome here. Oh, you know, now you're talking you want to you want to say you're perfect. I am, because I wear the righteousness of Christ.
