Doug Burton a veteran investigative reporter shares the story of the ruthless murder, torture and burning of Deborah Emmanuelle Yakubu in Sokoto State Nigeria a Sharia Islamic totalitarian state in Nigeria. Deborah was a student there a Christian and was about to graduate University. She got into an argument on line because she was being threatened in an academic study room because of her Christian faith by Muslims. She dismissed their aggressive behavior and said their religious proselytization was out of place she did not want to hear it. Doug further addresses the issue of the Islamic Genocide of Christians and the blatant silence of the Nigerian Government. Nigeria is key to Africa and Africa is going to pay a huge role in the future of the world, as CCP Policies have crippled China's growth and the population growth in the major world powers are all negative.

Now back to Chosen Generation with Pastor Greg. And welcome to the program. Great to have you with me. Thanks so much for being here. I know you have a choice of where you can listen each and every day and I thank you for keeping it tuned here to Chosen Generation Radio. Well, our number two, if you missed any parts of our number one, I want to encourage you, you're going to want to check this out. And I know I'm running a little bit behind with regards to getting some of my some of my stuff up for you. So my my sincerest apologies with regards to that.

I'll be working on that the next couple of days getting caught up on getting getting the audio up on the show. But what I can tell you is is that our number one we had with us AJ Kern, and AJ has filed a lawsuit to inquire as to the legitimacy of the status of the citizenship of Elon Omar. This is not questioning her birth certificate or or or any of that all she's simply saying is is hey, is Elon Omar legally constitutionally able to be on the ballot? We're not there's not a question about the 2020 election.

It's not about recalling. She has put herself on the ballot for 2022. And AJ is running as a democrat. She's a Christian conservative, but she's running as a democrat to have the standing to ask the question. And there is a hearing coming up and we would ask you to be praying diligently for favor, that the judge would see the validity of her case, that this isn't some crazy thing.

This is a real deal. And there's real questions about whether or not her father went through the process of becoming a citizen of the United States. And subsequently whether or not she was in fact 17 at the time that she says that she was making her thus a citizen by virtue of her father naturalizing.

There's no evidence. And she changed her birth date from 1981 to 1982. Six months after she took office, after a video was released by AJ asking this question. That's a fact.

And all of her interviews, she says she was born in 1981 until the change was made. So there you go. So that's up. And then last half hour, Matt Long gave us a really great update on the Texas GOP convention that just happened in Houston. He's on the rules committee. And he gave us some real insight into what's taking place there.

And some interesting, just an interesting piece of news that's not being talked about or covered at all. And that is, this is the Texas Republican Party convention. Now I know Ted Cruz was there. I know we know John Cornyn was there he got booed. We know Dade Filon, who is the Speaker of the House was there as supporting his LGBTQ agenda and the and the gender modification of children that he won't stand against.

But Lieutenant Colonel Dan Patrick or Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick and Governor Greg Abbott, the top two Republican office holders in the state of Texas could not be bothered to show up at the Republican Texas parties convention in Houston. And for some reason, that's not a story. I don't know why.

But it should be. And we talked about that with Matt, along with the other things that took place there. All right. We're gonna spend the next hour with my next guest.

And I'm really, really, really pleased to do this. If you were with me last Wednesday, then you heard my interview with Deanie Logison, the executive director of Save the Persecuted Christians, and Dr. Gloria Poldu, who is the president of LEAH Foundation, leah-l-e-a-h-foundation.org. And the story of Leah Sheribu, and what's happened to her and the thousands of girls in Nigeria that are being held as essentially sex slaves by Muslims, teenage girls. It's called pedophilia, Mehmet Oz, Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reilly.

It's called pedophilia. And the fact that you won't talk about it and you support it makes me sick. People should turn you off. All right. Maybe they heard me.

It makes me sick. Anyway, my next guest has been covering this. He has been in the middle of one of the most terrific stories about this.

And it's a story that you're not going to hear anywhere else, because they very few will print it. And I want to welcome to the program, Doug Burton. Doug, welcome.

Good to have you. Thank you, Pastor Greg. I wanted to warm up the water for you before I invited you to jump in, because the water was a little chilly, so I thought I'd warm it up. What do you think? Thank you, Pastor Greg.

It's toasty warm already. I want to hear about this stuff you were talking about. It sounds like something I should be reporting for the Epoch Times. Absolutely.

Or for somebody else. Yeah. Yes, sir. Yes, sir.

100%. Well, but let's talk about the story that no one is covering, which is, and I realized that her particular story has some uniqueness to it, but it is in line with what Islam does, what these Muslim men do to these girls. And a lot of them are obviously much younger than the young lady we're going to talk about. Introduce us to your 22-year-old former friend. She's still a friend, but I'm not going to spoil the story.

Tell us, please. Oh, Greg, it's a horrific story about a so-called blasphemy killing, this beautiful young woman, 22-year-old Deborah Emanuel, was about to graduate from her teacher's college, Shehu Shigari Teacher's College in Sakoto, which is the capital of the state of Sakoto, which is the center of the Fulani Caliphate in Nigeria. She was about to graduate and she ran afoul of some of her classmates, some young men, got their nose out of joint because she wouldn't accept being bullied by them on a WhatsApp messaging service. You know, a lot of us are familiar with WhatsApp. It's a great messaging program.

It's used all over Nigeria. And this WhatsApp channel had been created by the college to let the students share stuff related to exams and assignments. And she was getting bullied by these guys and she just wouldn't take it. She was a confident Christian in a majority Muslim state. And also just the fact that some of the guys wanted to date her, she's very pretty and she rebuffed them. So for whatever reason, they started accusing her of blasphemy, of blaspheming the prophet and they just wouldn't quit.

This happened quite quickly, like just a couple of days before May 12th. And on May 11th, they decided that she had to be killed. They just whipped up a frenzy of hate against her. And this young woman, a real Christian martyr, I would say, she's a person who followed Jesus absolutely, according to the scripture. When Jesus said those who give up, those who gain their lives will lose their lives and those who lose their lives will gain their lives. There is no better example than Deborah Emanuel.

What happened to her over the course of this time? That's what is so outrageous and so atrocious. Okay, well, these blasphemy killings happen in various parts of the world. You read about stories, you know, in Pakistan, it happens in North Africa. Well, in Nigeria, it's not that uncommon.

This happens to be a center of radical Islam. So what happened is, these men and women decided that she had to be stoned to death. So Deborah was attacked in her dormitory on the campus, early on the morning of May 12th. And, you know, her fellow female classmates of other students were beating her. So she called for help.

She called her uncle, she called her father, she couldn't reach her father. And she called out to her best friend to Mariam. So she said, these people are beating me. So Mariam left her house off campus and came on, came to campus as soon as she could a few minutes. And so around nine o'clock, she saw Deborah Emanuel surrounded by students and a staff member who were beating her and trying to kill her.

And the staff member took her across campus, close to the gate of the, to the campus to a security building they called the Gate House. And they locked Deborah into that house. And here comes Mariam to try and defend her. She stood outside the Gate House for several minutes and tried to calm the mob.

There was a mob forming at that point. And she said, you should forgive this woman. But then they turned on her because just because she was defending Deborah, they thought she was, you know, an apostate also. So they started to beat her. And they were going to kill her. So a faculty member nearby the gate, this according to what we heard from Mariam, that she, they, that person came to the, to the mob, grabbed Mariam and put her in the same house, the security house with Deborah. And they were together in that house for three and a half hours, three and a half hours, while the mob tried to kill them. They tried to burn them out. They tried to break down the door.

And meanwhile, here's the horrifying part. Yeah, the Socoto police came after about an hour and 50 Socoto policemen in uniform with rifles stood by about 100, about 100 feet away. And they never, they never intervened to try and stop this mob killing. And finally, at about two o'clock in the afternoon, with a mob of a group of about 1000 spectators standing behind a security fence, about 70 feet, you know, away from the gatehouse. Finally, the mob broke in, there was only one guard in front of the door.

They broke in at two o'clock. The first person they met inside was Mariam, and they thought she was Deborah. So they started to strangle her a couple of guys put a chain around her neck and the guy from each side pulled the chain to strangle her and then they realized, oh, it's not the person. There's not, someone said, oh, that's not the girl.

That's not the glass femur. So then they let her go. She was already cut and, and let her go. And then they found Deborah Emanuel, pulled her out in front of the house. And there the she was bludgeoned and stoned to death, and her body was put on fire. So meanwhile, you know, Deborah.

Meanwhile, our contact our source, Mariam was trying to recover from her wounds at 240. One of the mob guys, a fellow classmate came in and told her you got to get out of the building, it's on fire. And it was as she walked out of the building. She saw her her best friend, Deborah, his corpse is burning. And then she walked away, she went to safety, she went to a pharmacy to get some medication for her wounds. And then she left town. What happened in that during that three and a half hours is the subject of our story that I believe is going to be published today by Catholic news agency.

So it'll be I believe it'll be up by the end of the day. What happened is just heartbreaking. They, you know, they talk to each other. Deborah is a was a person of great faith. She came from the really both these girls from very strong Christian families. And Deborah thought she was going to get through it. At one point, she said, What time is it?

Because I've got an exam at 12 o'clock. Deborah was just thinking about getting her exam that day. She wanted to graduate she had she had dreams of becoming a caterer. She had a fiance, you know, just talking about it. Pastor Greg, it just it breaks me up because I've got an adult daughter who graduated from a prestigious university. It just pains me because I think of what her father must have felt. Like when when he came, he finally showed up to the campus.

He's a taxi driver. And he was out of the county but he finally got there at four o'clock in in the afternoon to find out that his daughter had been murdered and her body had already been taken to by the hospital ambulance. And just imagine how heartbreaking that was. I mean, it just cracks me up right now because it's so unjust. This is huge miscarriage of justice. What I've been writing about is the fact that the police stood down now it's complicated story. Because there was about 50 policemen. This is the information I got from her relatives who were standing there her uncle and others. They there was also the six officers of the secret police.

It's called the Department of State Security. All right, hang on, we're gonna take a break for some reason the commercials on the other end didn't fire. Hang on, you know what? All right, we're gonna take a quick break folks and and then we will continue this story. folk I tell your friends because everybody needs to be hearing this. So please, please share this.

Hello, I'm Mike Vindell inventor of my pillow thanks to your support. All right, welcome back to generation radio where no topic is off limits and everything is filtered through biblical glasses and my special guest is Doug Burton. And we are just hearing an absolutely gripping, gripping story about what happened to a young Nigerian student who was accused of blasphemy and then and then murdered by by these Muslims at her school in Nigeria in an area that is essentially if I'm not mistaken, Soko State. This is an area that's essentially run by Sharia law. And this is what Sharia law, which is the law of the Quran. It's the Muslim law.

It's what it tells them to do. And it is obviously a dramatically contrasting difference between a Christian response to someone who says we don't believe in Jesus Christ, or we think he's a fraud or whatever they might say, or or reduces him to say that he's just a prophet. He's not the Son of God. We don't stone people for that. We try to reason with them, we try to help them understand the truth of who Christ is. And, and our first response and our first reaction in sharing the truth of what Scripture says is hope that they will understand that enough. And this is what I share in India, the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

And we have many, many that have been saved in churches that have been planted. Doug, please continue your story. So so she is thinking during this time, this is going to end this is just this is just it's just a crazy situation. That we're going to be Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. The fire has surrounded us in the furnace.

Somehow we're going to walk out of this situation. She doesn't. Her dad arrives.

And you were telling us how a father might feel about this situation. Well, Pastor Greg, that's right. She, she, you know, came from a family they were a member of a church that's probably the most common church in the middle belt of Nigeria. It's called evangelical church when you don't know they're not Pentecostals. But it's a strong Bible teaching church. And these are, these are folks who they really know their Bible. Now, Deborah had said on the WhatsApp messaging service, one of the things that infuriated the men who wanted to decided she was blessed being is she, you know, when she was she was threatened, you know that, you know, the prophet says this, the prophet says that and she was objecting to the fact that this is an academic messaging service, and that her classmates were, you know, putting a lot of religious content in and she said, This is not the purpose of this group.

You know, we're supposed to be talking about the exams, and not about a not all nonsense. I don't want to hear about your nonsense prophets. She didn't say anything specifically about the prophet Mohammed. We have the transcripts of the what was on that messaging app. And they threatened her that somebody said, Well, you know, you're going to be punished. You're going to be hurt for this. And she said, Holy Ghost fire. Nothing will happen to me. And I can't forget, you know, reading that. She said, Holy Ghost fire.

Nothing will happen to me. She felt like she was protected. Yeah, exactly.

Like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Yeah, she believed that, you know, her path would be protected. And also, she probably believed that she'd be protected by the law. I mean, she didn't break the law.

blasphemy is probably a prosecutable offense in so in cicado, because of Sharia law. So let me Yeah, let me interject for just a minute, because then, and I'm thank you for bringing up this in this in this in this manner, because there would be those then that would say, Well, you know, where was God in the midst of this? You know, what what's up with that? Well, here's what we don't know. What we don't know is, is her personal experience in those final moments, as someone who has been through a horrific accident, broken every bone in his body, had multiple near death experiences. I can tell you that in the midst of all of that, I knew I knew God was with me.

Some would say, Well, why didn't he just protect you from the accident? Well, now I can point to 500 churches in Nigeria that wouldn't exist today. 31 freshwater wells, a sewing school for widows, an orphanage that still exists today, orphans that are still alive that came through a pandemic, a Bible school, Bible students, a pastor's family, ministers of the gospel, that that felt emboldened miracles that took place, women who gave birth, who were told they were barren, blind that are seeing, deaf that are hearing, lame that are walking, sick that are healed.

I can point to fruit. Deborah Emanuel, although she has left this world, the peace and comfort her parents are saying, Look, what's in God's hands? Why? Because they know the sovereign God.

Because they know that Deborah Emanuel is in heaven. Should we seek justice here on earth for this? Absolutely, we should. And we should be pointing this out and bringing this to people's attention, which is exactly what we're doing. And we'll be back with more of that with Doug Burton coming up right after this.

But don't miss this. God is glorified. Tim Sheffel Hi, I'm Tim Sheffel, a certified natural health practitioner of over 40 years. I went under issue to a product that changed my life. And welcome back to Chosen Generation Radio where no topics off limits and everything filtered through biblical glasses. My special guest is Doug Burton and we're talking about Nigeria. We're talking about the persecution that's happening over there. We're talking about what's happening to believers in Nigeria. We're going to bring this to in this next two segments also understanding how important Nigeria is strategically to the rest of the world, including the United States of America.

And we're talking about an amazing couple, the parents of this young girl. And then we're talking with Doug about how this has impacted his life as well. And he was sharing something with me and it and now I okay, you know, now I know why the Holy Spirit told me to share what I did as we were going into the break. But Doug, this, this her her death, what has happened here has borne fruit, but it's it's it's impacted you talk about the impact that this has had on you personally, and then the impact that it has had on believers in Nigeria, and then we'll connect some of the other dots but share share what you were starting to share with me in the break. Well, yeah, Pastor Greg, I don't know why it affected me.

Except, you know, I'm, I'm an older guy, my kid, my kids are adults, they've all graduated from college. And when I read this story about her father, Garba, Emmanuel, and his wife, how they reacted to the death of their daughter, you can see that the funeral ceremony, the burial ceremony is the lead picture in the story in the epic times if you go to it, it's an amazing photo, I can't forget it. Because you see, about 18 black adult men, you know, standing at the graveside around her coffin. And Greg, you just got to look at the faces of, of those guys. Those are her relatives. And their faces are so their faces are so heartbroken, but they're dignified.

And they're mystified. How could this happen to us? But you know, what it what really got me is the reaction of her father Garba Emmanuel. Now he's not a wealthy man.

He's a small farmer, a little farm in Niger State, and he makes money working as a chauffeur. When he was, he was asked, is the family going to sue? Is the family going to seek damages? You're going to sue the state of Dakota because they're obviously an accessory. They didn't protect the Deborah they could have theirs at 32 employed security guys available that date.

They're unarmed, but they could have formed a barrier. They could have done more to save her life and they didn't. So he said, No, we're not going to sue we will never win this suit in the state of sakoto, which is controlled by the Muslim Sultan. We will not go that way we are we leave everything to God.

Now that's that is an amazing statement. So we're leaving everything to God. That very day. I think he got the body of his daughter, and he had it transported back home to for the burial service. He was buried the next day. He didn't sue.

Just, you have to just think about the gravity and the faith and the dignity of this family. They knew that they're going to never going to win against this majority culture, this majority of Muslim culture, but the story of his sacrifice just electrified the Nigerian media, you know, the hearts of the Nigerian people went out of course, but the killing was condemned by everyone is condemned by President Muhammadu Buhari. You know, the very that very day was condemned by the Sultan of sakoto and many Muslims objected to it. They insulted him. There were mobs that, you know, were rioting against him. It was, you know, it was condemned by the the governor of the state. But of course, they didn't arrest very much. They didn't meet. They only arrested two suspects. You know, there were probably, you know, 20 people who should have been arrested and should be, you know, convicted.

But here's what happened. A mega church minister down in Port Harcourt, which is big city on the coast, southeast Nigeria, he very quickly within a couple of days, he made an overture to the family and he invited Garba Immanuel and the whole family to come to in to come to Port Harcourt and receive a free house from him. If he has a ministry to take care of, you know, under under, you know, underserved people to, he has a big ministry to help the working class and the poor. And so he provided a house, he provided a really good car for Mr. Immanuel to have his own Uber business. And he promised free scholarships for all the kids. Prior to that, Mrs. Immanuel had said, because Deborah was the eldest child in her family, and the first child to go to college. So Mrs. Immanuel had said, No, I don't want any more of my kids to go to college.

After this, nobody goes to study. But this, this minister heads up a big church, the acronym is OPM. He said, we're going to provide scholarships for all the kids are her next, the next oldest child, the son. He's, he's ready to go to college.

And we're gonna, we're gonna send him to college, you know, oversee. Wow, really moved by this. So, you know, there, there is, there is something that happens when a person becomes a martyr, you know, I wish it happened every time that Christian is a martyred in Nigeria, because it happens so often, there's at least 7500 Christians have been killed by the felony militia in the last, say, 15 years, I think it's many more than that. But that's reported by genocide watch, actually, according to the International Committee on Nigeria, since over the last, well, since the Boko Haram insurgency began in 2009, as many as 350,000 Nigerians have been taken out by this, this insurgency and the Islam Islamist massacres that have been carried out by the felony militia in the Middle Belt. It's a terrible loss of life, much, much bigger than the so called genocide in Ukraine. Legitimately, you could say that's a genocide. But this is the biggest genocide in the world, by far, right way bigger than the genocide ISIS did in northern Iraq.

And that's according to Gregory Stanton. He's the founder of genocide watch, you know, top scholar, top expert in Rwanda. The significance of Deborah Emanuel is that she's really a face of this.

I mean, she's a person that people can really sympathize with, they can understand it. When you look at her life, her accomplishment, you see, when you see the dreams of the whole family, you know, in an ascent, they had such great hopes, you know, for this young woman. And, you know, it all went up in flames for nothing is so pointless, so stupid, for trumped up charges, because people in the north, there's a small group of people, it's a deviant form of this one, I would say, are eager to assert themselves. And they're looking for victims.

They're, you know, just a couple of weeks later, there's another man who was killed, he was stoned in Abuja, he was a member of vigilant, the vigilante group, he was killed by a mob, his body was burned. That was also in this story by my colleague, Massara Kim, who did a story in the epic time I've had I've had Massara on the program. You have? Yeah. Awesome.

Yeah, I've had Massara on the program. I do need to interrupt you just to say I understand that there are there might be a desire to paint this as an aberration. But in reality, in in Muslim Sharia law, countries, this is not an abolition.

This is a you you and and that's why they're there. There isn't Christianity. In Sharia nations, there isn't anything they will kill them.

And they do. This is this, this is what Islam does. And it's in their book there. It's in the Quran, I have an expert Al-Rasouli.

I have other experts that come on Kamal Saleem, who's a former Muslim who actually came to the United States to carry out civilization jihad. And it's not unloving or hateful to tell the truth about these teachings. It's not Islamophobic. A phobia is an unfounded fear or concern. When the mosques in America have imams that are teaching to kill infidels, and to do war with them, initially to do war economically and then to do war physically, violently.

That's not an untold fear. That is a that is a reality and it's something they've been doing for 1400 years. Mohammed would eat and and the Hadith talks of the stories that as he was eating, he would either watch women be raped, or, or people have their limbs cut off in front of him as he ate his meal.

And that was his form of entertainment. That is Islam. That doesn't change our biblical Christian message that we have a different belief system. And that God, through Jesus Christ came into the world. And while we were all yet sinners, died for us, and that there are not many Muslims who have not fully read their Quran, who may be just as Quran illiterate as Christians are biblically illiterate. And why George Barna's research shows what it does about the church today. And and our message is, is the closer Christians come to Christ, the more they express the love of God, and the truth.

And the opposite is the case. I thank and praise God for this borewell that God has enabled us to put in this village with the prayer and support of Pastor Greg Young and Chosen Generation Radio Ministry and by the prayer and support of the Pastor Greg Young and Chosen Generation Ministry, we could put the borewell in this village for the community. Before this community was drinking dirty water and that was really causing a lot of sickness. But now they are getting pure and fresh water and all the community is so thankful for Pastor Greg Young and Chosen Generation Ministry and all the supporters. And we pray for all of you that God would bless you and God would use you so that we can put more and more borewells in a poor and needy community those who are really having a problem of the waters. God bless you and keep us in your prayer and this pastor is Pastor Jackie has been doing the ministry here in this village and really this village is really in a big need of a church building.

Keep us in prayer. God bless you. God bless you.

God bless you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Thank you. Doug, we're going to talk about, in this segment, Nigeria and its significance. We talked, you'd mentioned about the growth thing. I don't know if I asked you this and maybe I didn't.

Forgive me. We've been on for a little bit. But initially, what drew you in to Nigeria? You've been covering this for about how many years now? About three years now that you've really been deeply involved? Three and a half years. What was it initially that you heard that made you say, wait, this is, and I assume it's more as a news person, you went into it as a news person, as a reporter, and you said, hey, there's something here.

This needs to be talked about. Why? Well, Greg, you know, like yourself, I mean, you had a near-death experience. So did I die in the same year, 2017. And after this near-death experience, you know, mine was far less of a big deal than yours was.

You've got the Texas side near death, you know, its survival. But after, when I was in the intensive care unit after several days, I wasn't getting any better. I realized, you know, maybe I'm not ever getting out of here.

And I made a promise to myself to do something really significant if I did. You know, a few months later, I discovered the Nigeria issue at a press conference, National Press Club. And one thing I noticed, it was that I saw the extermination of Christians, which is so much parallel to the extermination of Assyrian Christians in Northern Iraq when I was there. There's always the State Department in Kirkuk and Baghdad. And in Kirkuk in Northern Iraq, I was witnessing the severe persecution of the remaining Christians in Iraq, Northern Iraq. I mean, when the invasion began in 2002, there were over a million Christians still in Iraq, mainly in Northern Iraq, which in the Assyrian homeland. But today, there are very few, there's only a few thousand, I don't know how many, maybe 30, 40,000, because most have fled because of the ISIS occupation.

Many were killed, some Christians were sold into slavery, but it began to go down precipitously with Al Qaeda and then ISIS drove it down. And so when I discovered Nigeria, I see the same thing, these criminal organizations, which have made it their mission to wipe out all traces of Christianity, to make Christians more of a second-class group than they already are. Christians are a second-class minority in all Islamic countries, no question about it. There's no rule of law that gives equal rights to Christians in any Islamic country, that's for sure. And that's true of Nigeria.

But now what we see is with the Boko Haram insurgency and with the radicalized bandits, which are taking over the middle belt, we see Christianity really faced with extermination. I have to say that, basically what I know. So I thought, well, maybe I can put some of the skills I've learned from reporting long distance in Iraq to use in Nigeria.

That's how I got started. Wow. Wow, wow, wow. And so you were with the Bush administration now in the State Department?

Just a question. Yeah. I was there from 2005, 2007, right in the terrible time of the war. Ah, 05.

Okay. 05 to 07. And you were in specifically like in Afghanistan and Iraq or just in Iraq? No, I was just in Iraq.

I was in Baghdad as a public affairs officer and I had a public diplomacy slot in Kirkuk. So I was right in there. Right in the middle of it. Yeah. So you saw these similarities between what was going on there and what was going on in Nigeria. Now, your antenna has been raised because of that you got involved, your hypothesis about what you saw in parallelism, the more you dug, became more proven to you as you as you got into this.

And now you do two things. You try to connect American Christians with people on the ground so they can actually pray with Nigerians. I want to get that out there.

But you also have identified a population growth issue and the significance of Nigeria's influence on Africa and ultimately on the world. So there you go. Now, take your three minutes. Oh, yeah. Well, I'm a headline writer.

I can do it in less than three minutes. Nigeria is the most populous country in Africa. It is also the wealthiest. And as Nigeria goes, so goes all of West Africa. It's surrounded by about nine other countries. Nigeria is very, very wealthy.

It doesn't need any foreign aid. Nigeria is such a future. It has a population of two hundred and twelve million. But in just twenty five years, Nigeria will have the same population as the United States. But think about the population size of all of West Africa.

It's going to be hundreds and hundreds of millions. Nigeria is going to be the third largest country in the world by the end of this century. It's going to be just right behind India and China. It is also wealthy in minerals.

It is the country that is going to be where gigantic fortunes are going to be made in the future because of its mineral wealth, its land resources, but most importantly, its people. Now, think about what happens if Nigeria becomes a caliphate or an authoritarian, authoritarian Islamic state the way northern Iraq was when it was under ISIS for about three years. Right.

Just think about it. Look at what ISIS was able to do with just the land mass they controlled in northern Syria and that about 10 or 15 percent of northern Iraq. So they became a threat to the whole world. Well, just imagine if 300 million people are controlled by an authoritarian state like that with huge mineral resources like Nigeria. It can that kind of force can go all over Africa and that terrorist threat will come to the United States all kinds of ways. That's why we should be worried about it. Nigeria is currently an ally of the United States.

On paper, it's a it's a constitutional democracy, but I've talked to ministers who operate orphanages there and say, you know, this is no longer a secular state. Right. Christians are being threatened. Christians are on the run. Now, what is the solution? Our US government refuses to recognize the problem here as they our State Department has missed character, misunderstood what's really happening on the ground, just like they did in Iraq. I realized that when I was there as an official, our government was totally unprepared for that invasion in Nigeria. Our government takes the the narrative point that the violence is a fight over land and resources because of global warming of climate change. They, they are ascribing to this abstraction, right? The root cause of the violence. And you can see it in the religious freedom report.

I just did a story about it an epic time just a couple of weeks ago. But Gregory, the way to help them is partly through helping organizations like, you know, aid to the church in need. That's one save the persecuted Christians, great organization and support. But you know, the real efficacious way is to help on a one basis.

It's called citizenship diplomacy. Help one person like you had a guest Masara Kim. He's one of the top investigative reporters in Nigeria. If you know if we can just keep him alive and keep him reporting, he's going to become one of the great reporters. He'll write books, he'll do documentaries. But if what if you Greg or anyone would just reach out to Masara and encourage him and pray with him, you know, on the phone.

That's what I that's how I got started in 2019. I didn't have any context except one priest Roman Roman Catholic priest in Boko Haram territory in the northeast of the country. And I call that man up. And when he told me that the area of his parish was like a cemetery because it had been attacked so many times by Boko Haram, I was just overwhelmed. And I thought well, you know, Father, Father, UK, let's just pray together. And so I prayed with him over the phone. And then, you know, a couple of days later, I got information from his fellow priests that enabled me to write a story about a Boko Haram attack in northeast Nigeria. So from this, I came up with the idea that not only is prayer efficacious spiritually, but it's a way for news to travel, you know, from one continent to the other. And I came to realize that Nigeria is not 5000 miles away.

No, it's one telephone call away. The Nigerians and the Americans are fighting the same battles. We have a fake news media. They've got a fake news media. We've got a unit party where the political elites at the top of both parties are we're gonna run out of time in six seconds.

Or Yeah, we are. All right, folks, I will be back with more children generation radio tomorrow. Okay, we're gonna do just a couple minutes of overtime here, folks, because I Doug, I want you to tell my television audience that's that's here with us right now and those watching us on social media platforms across the world. I want you to tell folks, you've got an organization that you've created an entity a pathway, because you were sharing with people the importance of making contact but but how how do we do this? How do I? I mean, I can't find the yellow I can't find the Sarah Kim in the yellow pages.

How can we? Okay, call me so call me Doral. How how do they call?

How do you want listeners to call you? Call my telephone number. I'm at 202-203-9883.

Okay, 202-203-9883. You can reach me by email Burton news and views at gmail.com. Burton news and views at gmail.com. Now, I am open to donations and I'll tell you how it's going to be used. I'm going we're buying cell phones for the vigilantes in Nigeria so that they can take film they can do conflict film when the Kalani militia attack it's going to be a great boost because these attacks are coming fast and furious vigilantes don't even have the cell phones. They're using homemade guns defending against ak-47. Now if people want to make a donation that's tax deductible, I'll give them the names of organizations they can send it to and they'll get the tax deduction so that the International Committee on Nigeria is one nonprofit that's agreed to take accept donations and they will they'll turn them over to my group which is called rule watch in Nigeria or another great group is save the persecuted Christians save the persecuted Christians handles they they as you know, they publicize the persecution of Christians in all countries.

It's not just the middle East. All right, we're going to run out of time here but save the persecuted Christians is a great organization. Doug and I are both very connected to that or I'm on the advisory board I strongly endorse and as you all know, D loggison comes on the program on a monthly basis. We just had her on as I said along with Dr. Gloria will do 202-203-9883 202-203-9883 and also Burton news and views at gmail.com that's Burton news and views at gmail.com and you can let Doug know if you if you heard him here on generation radio and and if you know you're having difficulty with getting your donation through or what have you you can make it to us here at generation radio.com that is tax deductible. It is our church Faith Harvest Church and we will make sure that any donations that you designate for Nigeria and for this purpose that the the Doug Burton gets those directly and and his and his organization.

We will send those funds directly to him. So several ways for you to make that happen Doug blessings to you. Thanks for all that you're doing folks, please keep Deborah Emmanuel's mother and father in your prayers.

Pray for Masara Kim, Masara Kim through Doug, you can reach out to and pray for directly if you would like to do that and others in Nigeria as well and we encourage you to do that. God bless you. Thanks so much for being with us today. Doug hold tight for a second. My sincere pleasure folks. I'm going to sign off at the end of the day when I stand before my God.

I do not want him to ask me. What did you do with the world that I sent my son to die for and redeem? How did you fight the good fight to share the good news and keep evil in check?

How did you shine your light and be a beacon of truth in the darkness? Did you shrink back in fear when they demanded you change my message? Did you call evil good and good evil? Did you forsake my love for that of another lying with the adulterer and setting up a new idol in your life? Have you defiled yourself through compromise and tolerance of that which I call an abomination? Have you innocent blood on your hands for the children murdered on your watch and the young ones perverted in their way by evil men seeking their own comfort and reviling me?

No. At the end of the day I want him to simply say the evidence is in. Well done thou good and faithful servant. I love my God and I love his creation and I will go to my grave telling the world that evil is evil and only God is good and Jesus came to save the world. That no matter the evil in the world I will never give up and in spite of the hate I will love in truth. God bless you all and may love remove the veil so you all might enter into his rest.
