I will talk a little more about that tomorrow. I greatly appreciate them, and I certainly honor their late owner who passed away just recently. Fred Weinberg was a force of nature, an incredible man with incredible vision who impacted and touched millions and millions of lives with his wit, with his commentary, and with his acumen for radio. And so it was a pleasure to have known Fred and a pleasure to have been invited to be a part of the USA Radio Network while he was alive. So I am very, very grateful for that.
We will always, always remember that. Okay, I am very excited to have on the program with me. He is part of the National Center for Public Policy Research. This guy, he is a walking, living legend, and I have missed getting to see him in person because of all of this Wuhan CCP virus stuff. But it is my pleasure to welcome to the program my dear friend, Dr. Bonner Cohen. Dr. Cohen, welcome. Good to have you. It is great to be here. It has been a long time thanks to COVID, but we have overcome COVID, and we have much more to overcome, and overcome it we will. Amen. Amen.
Absolutely. And we have got to overcome these climate change nuts. I know there is a thing coming up in Scotland, we are going to talk about that. But we also need to talk about, because they are back to their land grabbing again. You know, I do not see anywhere in the United States Constitution that the federal government is supposed to have massive amounts of land that they are taking from the citizenry of the United States of America. And sadly, Bonner, they are giving it to Iran, and China are the two biggest recipients of former federal grounds. Joe Biden had been in the White House less than a week when he issued on January 27th of this year an executive order dealing with climate change and what he and the people who control him would have you believe as a science-based environmental policy. And hidden in that executive order was a provision stating that it was the goal of the Biden administration to quote-unquote protect 30%, at least 30% of all land and water in the United States by the year 2030. This thing is commonly referred to as the 30 by 30 plan. And what that means is that the federal government, either through acquisitions of private land or through regulation of private land, wants to control at least 30% of the nation's land and waters by 2030.
And by the way, once they achieve that, if they do, what's to keep them from saying 40% by 2040 or 50% by 2050? These people are in business to acquire power and to use that power over the rest of us. And what better way to control the rooms than to control their land, to control their water. So that's what this is ultimately all about. Well, and water.
I mean, let's stop and think about this, folks. The waterways, that was one of the things that they were doing back under the Obama administration. The EPA was saying, we're going to seize, if you've got a puddle in your backyard, that puddle belongs to the federal government.
I mean, that was literally, Bonner, am I overstating that? No, not in the least, puddles, drainage ditches, stock ponds, whatever body of water. And it can be an ephemeral body of water here today, not here tomorrow. But if it can be argued in a court that there is some hydraulic connection to a larger navigable body of water that could easily be 100 miles away, then the federal government, meaning here the Environmental Protection Agency, will then have jurisdiction over that land. And what you do on that land must meet with the approval of EPA and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. And if it doesn't meet with their approval, you can't do whatever you would like to do on your land. You could build a guest house, or add on to your garage, or plant some vines, or whatever it is that you want to do.
Sure, anything. Put a pool in the ground. They may claim the pool. They'll say, oh, that pool belongs to us, now you dumped water in it, and the pool belongs to us.
Here's something else, and I'm kind of a simple guy. 30% of 50 states, now correct me, I'm old school, so I did old school kind of math, okay folks? But 30% of 50 states would be 15 states worth of land. I want folks to grab a hold and get and understand. Can you imagine the federal government saying that 15 of the 50 states, they own all the profitable, because land that is near water is the land that you want in order to be able to produce food, in order to be able to feed the population, in order for the population to be able to grow.
Settlements, historically, were always established on a river, because you have access to water. You need that. The federal government is saying, no, you can't have it, we're going to take it. It's all going to belong to us.
That's right. Now this crazy idea is actually rooted in something called the Wildlands Project, which goes back to the early 1990s, and was something that grew up on the far extremities of the environmental movement by a bunch of people whose goal it was to separate human beings from nature, and remind that human beings are a part of nature. But that's not the way they see it. What they want to do is establish corridors for wildlife to go unimpeded from one area to another. And if there are human beings blocking that in their view, then those human beings must go.
So an idea that seemed so bizarre at the time is now being codified by the Biden administration. What that will mean is you may still be able to continue to own your land, but you will lose virtually all control of your land. If you want to do something on it, you have to seek permission, get a permit from EPA. The person making that decision, yes or no, and whatever it is that you want to do, will be someone who has never seen your land, never set foot on your land. This bureaucrat will say yes or no, and if the bureaucrat says no, you know what you can do about it?
Absolutely nothing. Well, and I want to add this, and I put this out yesterday, folks, and I really encourage you to check out our website. I've also got a website called PastorGregYoung.com. Who created heaven and earth? Who gives man life?
Job 34-14. If he should determine to do so, if he should gather to himself his spirit and his breath, all flesh would perish together and man would return to dust. Genesis 2-7 tells us that God formed us out of the dust of the ground. Until we settle this and stop teaching that we are animals whose children have no control over their sexual desires, but instead are merely beings evolved from animals, and that life begins when man says it does and not God, we're going to have innocent blood on our hands. Abortion is a spiritual problem and a comprehension problem.
If you tell a lie long enough, you'll get people to believe it. We're not animals that are the problem. We are God-created beings, created in the image of our Creator, and we carry within us the answer to all these issues and the Word, which is from the beginning and is the way, the truth, and the life. Here's the thing.
You mentioned it. They believe that human beings are the issue. We're the problem, not the solution, because they believe that we develop from animals, and in fact, human beings, if they'd stayed animals, in their mind, and many of them want us to believe that's what we still are, would in fact not be the problem anymore if we'd just stayed animals and not, you know, quote-unquote, evolved. Yes, so what these people are ultimately doing is they're replacing the God it is with the God that they want to be. They will preside over us.
They will tell us how to live our lives. This is a very small but very powerful elite, lavishly funded by foundations, by large corporations, which have become, sadly, very woke over the past few years, and they are all in league with the corporate media to put out a narrative which has absolutely no basis whatsoever in truth. However, as you pointed out, Pastor Greg, once you tell a lie, so many times people would believe it, something that a certain Joseph Goebbels recognized a long time ago, and they are following in his footsteps. They go ultimately here, this is about power, who has it and who does not, and these people are perfectly willing to tell any lie, no matter how preposterous and immoral that lie may be, as many times as it takes to convince people that certain steps must be taken to save the planet, and if those steps are not taken, then the planet is doomed, therefore, forget your rights, forget your heritage, forget all of that, the new crowd is in control, they're running the show, shut up and do as you're told, and by the way, put on your mask and do all the other things that they want us to do. Well, and you know, I had Jim Simpson on and his new book is, you know, Who is Karl Marx?
This is Karl Marx theorem, this is what they're using is Karl Marx communist theorem, Marxism would leave a very small percentage of the elite, and it would ultimately starve out the middle class and push everyone into an untenable living environment, ladies and gentlemen, that is the goal and they do it through godlessness by taking away hope and telling people that there is no God. I'd say eight, nine years now that we have been working with those folks and we love everybody over there. Dr. Cohen, you said that there is a conference coming up in Scotland. Talk to me about that conference and what are the aims of what it is that they are going to try to put together and continue to perpetrate upon us.
Okay. This thing is called the Conference of the Parties, COP. And this particular conference is COP26, which means this is the 26th such UN-sponsored conference that has taken place. The goal of which is to put policies in place that will limit man-made emissions of greenhouse gases, and they've been rebranded now. Now we're talking about carbon emissions, but it's more or less the same thing. With the goal of putting an end to what they would have you believe is catastrophic human-caused climate change, formerly known as global warming. And they will do that by limiting our use of energy, by limiting the sources of energy that we use, all in the grotesquely mistaken belief that that is going to have an effect on the Earth's climate.
This is hubris on an absolutely grand scale. If you look at Europe today, you will see that the measures that the Europeans have already introduced to combat climate change have led to an unmitigated disaster for average Europeans. The price of natural gas has gone up already 600% in the last month. They are now dependent on their natural gas, not on the natural gas that they can produce themselves, but rather on Vladimir Putin's Russia, who is absolutely delighted to accommodate them. They are facing a winner with massive energy shortages, which of course will penalize those least financially able to withstand such cold weather, lack of heat. The elites are going to be fine.
Don't worry about them. That is our future. It's also on display in parts of California where they have rolling blackouts and brownouts. In his infinite wisdom, President Biden is taking a huge entourage over to Glasgow, Scotland, where this conference is going to take place. There will be 196 nations represented at the conference. By the way, the US delegation is all flying over there in airplanes using fossil fuel. When they get there, they're all going to get in gigantic SUVs and they're going to be cruising around. You can see they don't make sacrifices.
We're the ones to make the sacrifices. Not attending that conference will be Vladimir Putin and Premier Xi of China, which tells you just how seriously they take it. It's just something they can exploit for their own purposes. They have absolutely no intention whatsoever of lowering their emissions. Instead, they want to cash in on it and cash in they will, because Biden has unilaterally dismantled America's long sought energy independence from the politically chaotic Middle East, and has replaced that with energy dependence on China.
Because when we transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy, meaning here primarily wind and solar, the fact is that's never going to work.
