From high atop Fox News headquarters in New York City, always seeking solutions, never sowing division. It's Brian Kilmey. Hi, boy, welcome to the latest moments of the Brian Killmee show.
So glad you're here. Big hour coming your way. Lawrence Jones standing by. Fresh off Boxing Friends five minutes ago. We're having fun talking soccer, but you can't take your eyes off the number one story, and that's the Riots in Los Angeles.
Keep in mind, too, you could always get the podcast if this going live, doesn't work for your schedule, wherever you get podcasts. And just keep in mind today there's a lot going on. The U.S. military is having an opportunity to preview the big parade over the weekend. The president's going to participate in an Invest in America roundtable, and there'll be.
The travel ban kicks into gear. Those nations that will have special uh have to go special screening in order to get in here, especially Venezuela. And before we get to Lawrence, let's get to the big three. Number three. The last time Washington did a reconciliation bill, that was three summers ago, that was the so called Inflation Reduction Act.
This new big, beautiful bill is moving entirely in another direction. It's going to end up with the government spending less Yep, that is James Freeman of the Wall Street Journal. The big, beautiful bill continues to dominate all conversations in DC. We look at the journey to ratification that Musk made harder.
Meanwhile, the trade team is in London to hammer out a deal with China. Number two. Instead of conjuring up a new Joe Rogan, Ask yourself why you lost the old one. Because he used to be on your side. They tried real hard to cancel Rogan a few years ago.
You think people don't remember when you do this to them? Bill Maher, again, 100% correct. Dems go middle. More and more presidential hopefuls on the left decide the future of America for their party is center left rather than way left, and the move is not subtle. Yet their leaders move to tears because the DNC chair says everyone's ignoring him.
I'm not kidding. Number one. What we're seeing in LA. Is chaos? Caused by the administration.
People should exercise their right to protest, that's their First Amendment right. People should also exercise that right peacefully. But they're not. That's the problem, Mayor Bass. Trump takes over.
With Los Angeles out of control, the president calls out the National Guard without the permission of the governor. And we're in the middle of four days of clashes over the rounding up of illegals in lawless LA. The showdown, which is really law versus disorder, left versus what's right. Lawrence, we've been following every step of the way. Do you know the LA riots two days?
Back in 92. This is already four days and no signs of cease and desist.
Well, you got a standoff as. Approach from the leaders there. They want control. They keep making all these statements saying, Hey, we got it, we got it, but they don't have it. And I think the shameful aspect is when you have cops that are on the scene, that are getting attacked, that are surrounded, and they call for other cops to help them.
And there's a stand down order given essentially for them not to show up. That's shameful. And remember, Brian, we're talking about criminals. We're not talking about workers being arrested. We're talking about known criminals that have a deportation order and warrants out for their arrests.
Right.
So listen to Alex Villanaueva. You might know him because he's the former LA County Sheriff, CUD 21. It had The sheriff and the LAPD chief done their job when they were supposed to. and suppress the riot. There would not be any federalized troops.
They would be under the control of local law enforcement. But that's not part of this paradigm, this weird bubble that the Democratic leadership in California thinks they can operate under.
So that's just it. The reason why, I didn't know this. First time since 1965, the National Guard's been called out without permission of the governor. And the reason why in 1965, it was the civil rights, and you had a bunch of the segregationists who did not want to see these schools integrated. Brand, they don't want to cooperate.
And I don't know, was it ABC or CBS, the poll that you cited this morning? CBS. It was the CBS where I think it's 54% of the American public are supporting the president when it comes to this because they're focusing on the criminals.
Now, if the Democrats want to debate something about that second layer about going to workplaces and all that, that's something where you can work with the administration on, but you got to get on board at least on getting rid of the criminals. Remember, this is the same party that wanted Kilmar O'Brego back, and now he has two felony indictments against him right now.
So he's going to have to go through the system and all that. They called him a Maryland man, but he was trafficking people, assaulted his wife. These are the same child pornography. I mean, can you imagine standing with those type of people? That's why everybody's talking about this Elon Musk controversy, but you can't go, you can't stand with a party that doesn't believe in common sense like this.
So let's think about this. You brought up a good point.
So you find the senators going down. And having a margarita with Senator Kilmore, right? Goes down there. And then they want to go to bat for people like him. He shouldn't have been deported to that country.
Well, he's a gang member. If you look at the police report, he's absolutely a gang member. And they say, well, we're suspected by a judge. No, no. The judge had a gang expert look at this.
Yeah.
So that's not true. And then you find out about child trafficking. This B-roll available of this, with sound, of a cop pulling him over full of people. from Texas en route to Maryland. And at the time, he pretends that he doesn't know English with the cops.
And then the cops call the FBI under Biden to say, hey, look, we got this guy here. They take pictures of everyone in the world. And this phone calls recorded. It's recorded. And they say, hey, just take the pictures and then let him go.
So this is a guy that should have been arrested a long time ago. The second part of it, Brian, and I think this is going to come out later in the indictment, is that he's a part of a gang, the gang organization. Kill some migrants because they left them in the back of a van and they suffocated to death.
So this is not a saint that we're dealing with. The same guys as well that they were trying to arrest in LA as well. And they're protesting in the middle of the street with Mexican flags.
So Democrats are defending Kilmore.
Now they don't know what to do because he's such a horrific person. They're trying to get people to say, well, it's just a matter of due process. What are you talking about?
So now the ICE arrests these criminal suspects, these illegal immigrants, and Bill Melusian was able to get some of their backgrounds and their profiles. Essentially, they're the worst of the worst. You got one guy, assault with a deadly weapon with a great bodily injury from Mexico. Another guy from Mexico, controlled substance assault, deadly weapon. Then you have another guy from Ecuador, cocaine distribution and conspiracy.
This other guy from Mexico, sexual battery received stolen property and theft. And I can go on. This other guy's from Honduras, narcotics distribution, domestic violence.
So what the ICE is doing is finding these guys, ripping them out, and the neighborhood's going crazy. Brian, we wouldn't even be at this point. Is if when they were arrested, The local jurisdictions would have just kept them behind bars and allowed ICE to come pick them up.
Now you have the president of Mexico that are encouraging her people. In the United States to protest against our country. They burn our flag while they wave their flag. Right.
And so we want to so Democrats, do they want to go? Actually, represent and support the rioters.
So now they're saying, well, Trump made it worse by sending the National Guard. What are you talking about?
It was out of control. What was he supposed to do? Let the city burn? Or it's ICE's fault for using masks. Oh, are you kidding?
The protesters have masks. Have y'all called on them to re remove? You said it is peaceful pro. Why do they have masks? Why are they rapping with Kafias?
We're not in the Middle East. Brian, I think what's gonna happen is once you start getting these people behind bars, you're gonna realize, as the chief said, These are the same people. The same people on the college campuses. The same people doing the Summer of Love. The same people for Occupy Wall Street.
These are the same groups. They don't really have an ideology but destroy the United States, anti-West, anti-Donald Trump.
So what they want to do is sue Donald Trump to get the National Guard out. Jonathan Fahey joins Fox and Friends First, forming Deputy Assistant DHS Secretary. What about the legal case? Uh cut 24. And we've seen this escalating over the past couple of months where the standard position of the Democratic Party seems to be defame.
Agents support violence against them. We saw it in Newark. We're seeing it here. And it's really disgraceful when you see the statements come out from Governor Newsome, from other politicians, and they're certainly making it even worse. And President Trump did what he did because he had to, because his responsibility is to keep the American citizens safe as well as the law enforcement agents safe, which the Democrats in California had no interest in doing.
So they're going to have to defend it. They will defend it, let's hope. But I worry about the whole thing. District judge says pull them out.
Next judge says don't. Then we end up in the Supreme Court. Is this going to be one of those escalating? I think you're going to need a meeting injunction or a ruling from the Supreme Court immediately. We know that since this is happening in California, one of the challenges is probably going to be in a California federal judge.
Many of them are on the left.
So you can't have this law fair. You need the Supreme Court to come out immediately. Another thing I think is underreported, Brian, is these are the same protesters that say they're afraid of the cops. They're afraid of law enforcement. Does this look like a A group of people that are afraid of the cops, send them bricks out there.
It's very well funded, well organized. And when law enforcement finally does respond, and they are going to have to respond, then they're going to be crying that they target these people because of the color of their skin, which is nonsense. All right. When we come back, I want to talk a little politics with Lawrence before you go. And then, and because it looks like there's a big movement among Democrats to go to the center.
Do you believe it? I'll tell you what. If I was a Democrat right now with political aspirations, you know what I'd be doing? I'd be speaking up in support of law and order, but not one. If you want to go to the middle of the road, somehow you got to do something of consequence instead of giving a speech.
Don't move. Politics, current events, and news that affects you. Brian's got a lot more to say. Stay with Brian Kilmead. Hi, everyone.
I'm Brian Kilmead. If you want something fun and easy to search for homes and apartments, then you should be using the Redfin app. Whether I'm searching for my next place, if I want to buy, if I want to rent, or if I just want to scroll through and see some dream homes, like for example, something on the beach or at least a walk to the beach, a big house, second, maybe a third floor, I use the Redfin app. Redfin makes it fun to search all the homes for sale and apartments for rent in your neighborhood. You can filter for price, for beds, for baths, square footage, and so much more.
So if you find a place you love, Redfin makes it easy to go see it in person. Just schedule a tour right from the app. Plus, if you're looking to sell, Redfin agents know how to get you the best price possible for your home. That's because they close twice as many deals as other agents. And with a listing fee as low as 1%, Redfin's fees are half of what others often charge, which means you'll have more money to put to Towards your next home.
So, whether you're looking to buy, you're looking to rent, you're looking to sell, Redfin's got you covered. Download the Redfin app to get started. Yeah.
From his mouth to your ears, it's Brian Killmead. And I'll be very honest with you for the first time in my hundred days on this job. And the other night I said to myself for the first time, I don't know if I want to do this anymore. No one knows who the hell I am. Right.
I'm trying to get my C-legs underneath of me and actually develop any amount of credibility so I can go out there and raise the money and do the job I need to to put ourselves in a position to win. And again, I don't think you intended this, but you essentially destroyed any chance I have to show the leadership that I need to.
So that is Ken Martin. This was obtained by Politico, a phone call with David Hogg. Do you believe this guy? Evidently, in the phone call, he sounds like his voice is breaking up. He's crying.
Nobody knew it's for you. And of course, when this came out, David Hogg started releasing text messages because they were accusing him of being the person that leaked it. He shows all the messages from the reporter that he never responded. But I think, you know, the dismantlement and who leaked it is irrelevant. It's a matter of that the party is in disarray.
They have no leadership, no identity. It's because they're so crazy. They're allowing the crazies to run the party. Like, it should be very simple. The first story we talked about, Brun, what's happened in LA?
To condemn what's happening. Say, hey, even advocate for a pathway.
Okay, I disagree with you, but at least that is something that is considered reasonable. But don't burn down cities.
So here's the thing: why do you need to be recognized? Just go out there, stop crying. All right. So, and just, and by the way, point out how your deputies are unhinged and just go do your job.
So. In Playbook over the weekend, I was struck by this. Maryland Governor Wes Moore, who's black, vetoed a bill passed by his Democratic-dominated state legislature that would have taken steps towards reparations. Why? Polarized?
They saw it was a mess in California. The minute they came out and said, write a check, they go, we don't have any money to write a check.
So why do it? And then you have Rahm Emmanuel sat down with Dasher Burns for a podcast conversation and said, stop talking about bathrooms and locker rooms and start talking about the classrooms. If one child is trying to figure out their pronouns, okay, but the rest of the class don't know what a pronoun is. Let's not even so he's saying. Get over this whole political correctness.
But the party at large, Brian, are not listening to that. Tim Knott is not. They are not the people that have the energy, which is Bernie. AOC, Crockett. They don't subscribe to that viewpoint.
And right now, they're the ones that have all the rallies and all the support and all the donor money.
So I don't see, look, I appreciate them saying the obvious that we said like four years ago or like the last eight years, but I don't think it's breaking through.
So, yeah, I think I'm very curious to see where the donor money goes because they don't want to waste it. They know Tim Waltz has no shot. They know that AOC has no shot.
So these people don't get rich by wasting the money.
Now, Pritzker is still way out there with his pronouns. Tim Waltz is still way out there. He says we should go reinforce DEI. But they write Bruce Allen Hamilton, the federal contractor giant, pulled out of being a headline sponsor of Worldwide Pray Day in February. Other companies like Deloitte, Comcast, Nissan have declined to support the event this year, too.
They don't want to be forced into doing the political correcting. And they never felt comfortable doing it, but they thought they had no choice. Brian, here's a novel idea. The president has shown that he likes making deals. There has to be a Democrat.
that's of national to private uh prominence that is willing to take a meeting with the president and say this is the agenda that i agree with that's a part of your agenda as well mister president Let me provide a bill that will obtain that type of stuff. I mean, Gretchen Whitmer, to her credit, says, okay, I need this stuff for my state. But it's not national news there. It's just a local issue. You need someone that's willing to be the big boy or gal that's willing to link arms with the president and say, let's get this done.
How about this? What if Governor Whitmer Or Westmore said, the president was given no choice. If you don't crack down on this abhorrent behavior, we're going to get the National Guard down our throats, too. That would take guts. Rather than not signing a reparations bill, how about just doing something bold and real good?
See, Westmore. He's very Obama-esque in his delivery and all that, but he governs like a radical. A complete radical. If you look at Maryland, he's destroying the state. I think he's brilliant in the sense of his ability to communicate with the public.
He's great with crowds. A phenomenal story, but he's destroying the state.
Meanwhile, when you got a person like Fetterman that's more closer to the center, they want to destroy the guy.
So I don't think the Democrats. Have an appetite for sanity right now.
So I want you to hear what Bill Maher said. Again, sane, cut 29. Instead of conjuring up a new Joe Rogan, ask yourself why you lost the old one. Because he used to be on your side. They tried real hard to cancel Rogan a few years ago.
And when Elon hosted Saturday Night Live in 2021, well before he was a Trumper, Some of the cast members gave him the cold shoulder for the sin of being rich. You think people don't remember when you do this to them? It's so true. They have this selective amnesia. They destroy people's lives and then they invite them to sit in the dinner table.
And these people are like, no, of course not. Even with the scandal with the president and Elon Musk, they're all thinking that Elon is going to come back. There's no way he can come back. You guys tried to set his cars on fire. You did set him on fire.
It's not like he's going to be able to break bread with you guys. And then you guys do. further things that show that you're not serious with talking down. It's the same thing, Brian, when it comes down to the former president's mental acuity. They want us to just move on.
Meanwhile, they have an atoned for all the evil that they did, all the bashing, calling us liars, cheap fakes, and all this other nonsense.
So, do you know, I watch every Sunday show. I think there was a half a question on KJP. How could there be a half a question on KJP? Are you kidding me? The press secretary went independent and said the broken White House that you've been defending, you could even, that would be a way to sound off on the idiocy that was once the Biden administration.
Our only saving grace, Brian, is no one's watching. The networks right now. I mean, we've completely, FOX, cornered the market. And I think the secret sauce is being ahead of the curve. Honestly, all of these books, Brian.
should be considered plagiarism. I mean, they're reporting on something that was reported on, and they're not giving us credit for it. They're saying, oh, news sources. But we have the original reporting. It's nuts.
They're like, oh, all of a sudden, there might be a problem with the Russian investigation. I think the laptop is real. I really believe Joe Biden was fine up until recently. Crazy. Lawrence, great to see you.
Hopefully we make this every week. I'll see you tomorrow. Tomorrow. Yeah.
See you tomorrow on Fox and Friends. 6-9. I do believe it'll be live. What are you wearing, do you know? I don't know when I'm wearing.
Something we don't coordinate.
Something cool?
Something cool. A nice tie. A talk show that's real. This is the Brian Kill Me Show. For the president to do this is only going to incite the situation and make things worse.
A lot of these peaceful protests are being generated because the president of the United States is sowing chaos and confusion. It's only going to make things worse. They're there to protest the mass deportations that are happening. And so it was peaceful. You don't want to inflame things by threatening to bring in the Marines or deporting people based on a mistake.
He is hell-bent on inflaming the situation. And by the way, that is what they're saying the president's doing.
So ICE is arresting illegal immigrants. They're doing it across the country in a sanctuary city, sanctuary state. They have to really work on their own. And because there's so many illegal immigrants, they begin to upright. There's been to be an uprising.
The LAPD takes forever to come out to help. President Trump's not going to wait for it anymore. Brings in the National Guard without the governor and permission. And now it's his fault. Nobody buys that.
So, what's going to be the tax? This is a city that had Pacific Palisades of Besa and Malabsa Malibu basically burned to the ground, and they barely even put a shovel in the ground to rebuild eight months later. And now we're watching a city on fire for four straight days. Pierre Devis is an attorney and real estate expert managing partner over at Romer Devis, where he runs his own company, obviously. And he warns the economic impact of these riots will be felt in three stages: immediate, intermediate, and long term.
In what respect, Pierre, do you feel that will be? Brian, it's good to see you. You know, I think we can look back at 2020 for any anecdotal advice on how this should be handled. The immediate impact of this is that clearly, foot traffic in any major city is going to plummet due to the result of these riots. Safety and the fear of unrest is going to prevent the workforce from coming back and drive out people from living in these cities.
And what does that do? You know, if you look back at all the images of 2020 in New York City, Minneapolis, Oregon, wherever you want to look, any major city, just imagine all the boarding up of the windows across those cities. What does that mean? That means these are businesses that are not operational. Your immediate impact, loss of cash flow, loss of revenue, which will mean loss of rent payments to your landlord, which will jeopardize landlord's ability to pay their mortgages.
It's a continuously ripple effect that is disastrous for any local economy.
So I think it's something that you always have to get a handle on. I mean, I'm not saying protest, have peaceful protests, right? That's your constitutional right. But what's going on in Los Angeles is absolutely asinine. How about this?
I mean, the Mexican flags? The Ecuadorian flags, burning the U. S. flag? You're trying to win over the American population that you're in the right here by waving the flag of another country?
How many Americans do you think want to go to bat for Mexico? You know, it's such a tough thing because our country was found, such a large basis of our country is immigrants. This is a melting pot. One of the greatest things to say about America: my parents are immigrants, right? But right now, you've had open borders for how many years?
You've had an influx, and you know, it's unsustainable. And you're seeing it now, right? I mean, the level of violence that's being permitted, we need to establish law and order back in society. I mean, what's going on should under no circumstances be allowed, regardless of what your feelings are on the immigration topic. When you have taxes already so high, when you have devastating fires that wiped out one of the most higher-income families, now have to pay on property and houses that don't even exist, then you wonder about insurance claims.
They don't want to pay rich people, give rich people insurance, let alone working-class people in a city that can't be controlled and won't be controlled because the LAPD, the local law enforcement, is being held back. You know, the insurance industry is upside down, and the large uptick of natural disasters in the last couple of years are clearly the catalyst for that. But it is a real problem that we have in society. How are these businesses ever going to reopen? How are they going to establish and regain the lost income?
The insurance companies are jacking up premiums in every line of insurance fathomable to make up for all the natural disasters.
Now you're going to add this issue to the equation, which there's going to be hundreds of millions of dollars of claims as a result of the riots, property damage, loss of revenue. Good luck getting paid. It's going to be a disaster. I feel bad for any small business owner that has their business in these cities. I don't know how much longer it's going to start going to continue, but Tom Holman was on, and he's just astounded by the fact that they're blaming the presence of federal forces and National Guard over what's happening locally.
Here's what he said, CUD 11.
Now, let's make this clear. I keep hearing this term ICE raids, ICE raids. What happened with how this riot started is that ICE was serving a series of criminal warrants at a business being investigated for money laundering, custom fraud, and serious violations sending money to criminal cartels in Colombia and Mexico that fund cartel activities in the United States. It's part of an overall conspiracy that ICE is investigating.
So we're arresting bad people. We were enforcing laws and follow-up on a serious criminal investigation on cartel financing.
So that's exactly what ICE did. And ICE took a lot of bad people off the street that day.
So When that happens, and you have a criminal element, the law enforcement's being held back, you have that sentiment, no faith in local leaders, that also hurts real estate prices, wouldn't you think? Absolutely hurts real estate prices. You know, right now, look, we're five years post-pandemic. New York City, you can take, for example, right? Our real estate law practice in midtown Manhattan, the foot traffic here is nowhere near what it used to be pre-pandemic levels.
Subway ridership. Is millions short of where it used to be pre-pandemic levels. And that's because of a fear for safety. You know, so when you have that element of fear that's established in society, cities are the first region to suffer an economic detriment. And you look at Minnesota, and you already gave me the stats here.
More than a year after the Minneapolis riots, 5% of businesses damaged or destroyed returned, only 5%. Downtowns may become more desolate. Minneapolis saw more than 50% reduction in foot traffic. You mentioned in New York just over a pandemic we all experienced, but I also remember the defilement of storefronts and the looting that took place, which we just allowed to happen.
So nothing, things have, there are things that happen in this world, tsunamis and natural disasters, what happened in New Orleans. I get it. But this is man-caused disaster and preventable. By the way, who's hurting the most from these riots? It's again, small business owners and individuals in the middle class of America.
I'll give you a great story. I remember during the riots in 2020, walking through the city in a bodega across the street from where I live, a poor guy, immigrant, you know, crying outside his store. And I'm like, is this your store? Boarded up, police reports. What's a police report going to do 24 hours after a riot?
The guy lost his whole life savings, worked his whole life. An immigrant that came to this country, worked his whole life, opened up this business, and Riots destroyed it. What did you gain by destroying this poor man's business? What is the benefit of this, right? Like, that's the problem.
You're not hurting big government, you're not hurting major corporations. You're in reality, you're hurting the little guy. You know, for the most part, these retail spaces in these cities, a lot of them are mom and pop stores. And it's a real shame because you're taking away these people's livelihoods. Lastly, the blue cities are where this is happening.
I mean, there is no sanctuary in a red state or a red city.
So it's the sanctuary policies where this is happening. And no one's flourishing. Crime's an issue. The economy's an issue. They're all overdrawn.
They've all spent way too much. We also know that's where illegal immigrants go to get free stuff, whether it's free health care in California or free residence and free food over in New York City. We'll set up a tent city for you and give you a menu.
So these are the ones that are hurting. And these policies are proving detrimental to your economic welfare.
Well, you bring up New York City. Mayor Adams, you know, famously touted New York City as a sanctuary city. And then we had hundreds upon hundreds of thousands of migrants come to the city with no idea what to do with them. You know, we had the famous Roosevelt Hotel in midtown Manhattan that was a migrant shelter for several years. And somehow, overnight, once Trump was elected, Mayor Adams worked with him to have everybody silently removed from that facility.
The city is New York has been operating a significant deficit on an annual basis and spending billions of tax payer dollars to address this migrant crisis. Economically speaking, these cities can't afford this, right? I mean, you've had a loss of revenue from the departure of high-income earners from New York, loss of office attendance, which is resulting in a lack of economic stimulus for the city in terms of people being here and spending and contributing to the local economy. Yet we're spending more money.
So I just pure economics of this. This is why we have immigration laws to be able to control the volume of people that come into the country and conduct background checks. Like, you know, I'm not going to say And saying every single illegal immigrant is a criminal, but that is the purpose of why we have immigration laws: control the volume of people and to conduct background checks to see who's coming in this country. There's nothing wrong with either those two. But yet, this leader, like Governor Gavin News, wants to sue.
Listen to this: Cut seven. Donald Trump has created the conditions you see on your TV tonight. He's exacerbated the conditions. He's lit the proverbial match. He's putting fuel on this fire ever since he announced he was taking over the National Guard in a legal act, an immoral act, an unconstitutional act.
And we're going to test that theory with a lawsuit tomorrow. There you go. Is that going to help? Look, how I think that that could be fathomably under control after seeing the images of people waving flags, burning cars, throwing rocks at the police department. It's complete lunacy.
I mean, there is no control in any of these riots. I don't see how anybody can argue that the National Guard was mandatory to help stabilize things. All right. Thanks so much. Pierre, Deba, Debas, thank you so much.
Attorney, real estate expert, managing partner. Appreciate it, Pierre. Thanks, Brian. Thanks for having me. All right, you got it.
one eight six six four oh eight seven six six nine we're going to come back and we're going to take some of your calls also we're going to give you some additional information on what's going to be happening in london consequential talks between the US and China what's at stake Newer tech And our military don't move. Giving you everything you need to know. You're with Brian Kilmead. A radio show like no other. It's Brian Killmead.
He's a tough guy. Why doesn't he do that? He knows where to find me. The hell is this guy? Come after me.
Arrest me. Let's just get it over with. Tough guy. You know, I don't give a damn. But I care about my community, and I'm sorry to be so clear, but that kind of bloviating is exhausting.
So, Tom, arrest me.
So, what he's saying is: if you impede the arrest of an illegal immigrant, he'll arrest you or Karen Bass. But, of course, that's what he wants to make a stand on as he sits in the control center, but doesn't get his butt down on the street to try to find out what exactly is happening because he's a terrible governor with a terrible mayor. That is why the National Guard had to be called in. And if you're not going to do it, the president will do it. He learned a lot the first four years, he will not hesitate again.
So, that's what he wants to act like a tough guy. By the way, that's a great line.
Sorry to be so clear. Yeah, I know you're used to dancing around things and making up stories. This guy is the worst governor. I mean, please. I mean, if he wants to get into broadcasting, go do it.
He probably has a much brighter future. As a politician, he is just awful. Greg, you're in Florida. Greg, what's on your mind? Hey, it's like a stampede of unicorns.
I just wanted to say, these people don't realize that they are giving the government a reason to be more authoritarian. No doubt about it. They have no choice. You think Trump really wants to mobilize the National Guard? Do you know what he was doing at Camp David?
He's working on deals with Ukraine. as well as Iran, while talking to world leaders, which I think could be an attack shortly, because we know the talks are fruitless. Do you think he says, oh, why don't we just cause havoc in Los Angeles? Yeah, you know, it it it just it baffles me that these people think they're actually doing something positive to help the society, you know, and they're not. Thank you.
I appreciate your listenership. Marty over in Orlando, WDBO. Hey, Marty. Hey, Brian. After the january sixth attack on the Capitol, the Democrats and liberal media loved to parade around the Capitol police officers who were injured that day and tell us how bad it is to assault law enforcement officers.
Now I'm seeing law enforcement officers assaulted and battered and injured. And instead of decrying it, now they seem to be condoning it. And you even have Hakeem Jeffries saying he wants unmasked ICE agents. What changed? You know, it's so interesting.
They were bringing it up. What about January 6th? What do you talk about? Everything with them is January 6th. That's what they were bringing up.
But this is a real insurrection. And by the way, it's not stopping. These cops were really hurt, and now the FBI put out a Put out a reward, $50,000, if they could help them find the people that threw that brick at the cinder block at the cop and are destroying these cop cars. You saw what they did with the Robo Taxis. Obviously, Robo Taxis, no driver, they just wrecked them all, causing tens of thousands of dollars in damage.
And guess what, you idiots? That was an affordable way for you to get transportation. Unbelievable. Kim over in Georgia. Kim.
Hi, Brian. Thanks for taking my call. I agree with the past two callers. The American people elected our president to restore law and order. Several of us in Georgia would like to see Maxine Waters, their governor in California, Jeffries, all of these people locked up even just for a few days to set an example.
We'd like President Trump, if possible, whatever it takes with a congressional act to make an example out of California for the nation and to get control there. Let me ask something, Kim. Let's say you're just not very political. You don't, you know, you vote depending on if you like with the way the person looks, whatever. You're just not into politics.
If you just say who's right or wrong, do you want to go support the anarchists who are burning the U.S. flag and flying the Mexican flag and going after law enforcement? Do you know how many people are in law enforcement, have a family member in law enforcement, retired from law enforcement, somehow tangentially or respects law enforcement? You're basically doing something that 10% of the public supports, and that is supporting illegal immigrant criminals. I agree, Brian.
Lake and Riley's murder is fresh on our minds. We'd like something done. Thanks so much. Maxine Waters, yesterday, listened to her. She made her name during the 92 riots as an anarchist screamer into the cops' faces over the LAPD.
Now she's trying to do it again. Grabbed her best wig and jumped out there. Cut 26. If you shoot me, you better shoot straight. I don't know why you're in my city.
You didn't, the governor was not contacted. This is Trump and his outrageous attempt to not only target our sanctuary city, but to frighten us and intimidate us. An elected official has a right to go into to check out what's going on. Who can I speak to? You know anybody?
will end up being used. I don't know why. We have guns. What are those guns for? Are they the shoe protesters?
I mean, there's no reason to be here with the National Guard.
So, this, just to set the scene, the reason why the audio is not great, she's sitting there in a boom microphone going up to the National Guardsmen who do what National Guards do, the standard operate. And they have guns and they got sticks, and they're there to prevent the riot from getting out of control. And if they attack government property or government officials, they will get whacked. I hope. And they're wearing shields, but she doesn't like the look of it.
You know what I don't like the look of? Guys with Mexican flags jumping on cop cars. I'm against cinder blocks going off, going over bridges. I'm also against the shutting down of the 101 freeway.
So that's your idiot. Those are the idiotic people that she is supporting. And she thinks she's going to make a name again. You know her story. She used her money, somehow got rich while making $176,000 a year as a congresswoman, doesn't even live in her district, lives in a mansion adjacent to her district.
Person who knew how to do that job was Alex Villanueva. He's the full. Former LA County Sheriff, he talked about why Trump had to depart the National Guard.
So listen up, cut 20. This is factless on steroids. When the governor's insisting, oh, let us handle this, well, actually. When ICE agents came under attack because they were doing their job. They appealed to local authorities to help them and they declined to assist.
That is both the LAPD and the LA County Sheriff. And the sheriff is the one who is responsible for mutual aid in LA County during times of unrest. And what do they do? Nothing.
So, the ICE agents did what they were supposed to do. They appealed to their federal superiors, and they got the help they needed from the National Guard that is now federalized. Unbelievable. Quick note: History, Liberty, and Laughs. Only two weeks away now.
I'm going to be in Dayton, and then in August, I'm going to be in Dallas, and then in September, I'll be in Richmond. But Victoria Theater is next stop on the 21st. Balcony seats are left, some on the floor, not many. VIP opportunities remain. BrianKilmead.com.
Patriotic, inspirational, motivational. You don't want to miss it. Fox Nation's one of the sponsors of it. Be there. Dayton.
From the Fox News Radio Studios in Midtown Manhattan, it's the fastest growing radio talk show. Brian Kilmead. Hi everyone, thanks so much for listening. Brian Kilmee Cho coming to you from 48th and 6th in Midtown Manhattan, heard around the country, around the world. Hope you had a fantastic weekend.
We're back in action now. Standing by former governor of Virginia Jim Gilmore. He was the 68th governor, by the way, and also U.S. Ambassador to Europe.
So now, Europe, big story today about how Europe is suddenly loving Trump. and how Trump is giving some of that back. And where they used to resent, and they have all this problem and the yangst. Even two months ago, Pete Hags had positive things to say, and the president also saying how much progress they're making on the trade deal.
So I guess it's a honeymoon for now.
So let's get to the big three. Number three. The last time Washington did a reconciliation bill, that was three summers ago, that was so called Inflation Reduction Act. This new big, beautiful bill is moving entirely in another direction. It's going to end up with the government spending less.
Yes, but not enough for some like Senator Ron Johnson and others. Yes, the big, beautiful bill continues to dominate all conversations in D.C. We look at the journey to ratification that Elon Musk made harder for the Trump team as they fan out to explain what's in the thousand-page document.
Meanwhile, the trade team heads to London right now, hammering out a deal with China. Number two. Instead of conjuring up a new Joe Rogan, Ask yourself why you lost the old one. Because he used to be on your side. They tried real hard to cancel Rogan a few years ago.
You think people don't remember when you do this to them? Dems go middle. More and more presidential hopefuls on the left decide the future of America is center left rather than way left, and the move is not subtle. Yet their leaders are mo one leader is moved to tears and about to quit over being ignored. Where do they go from here?
Number one. Is chaos caused by the administration. People should exercise their right to protest. That's their First Amendment right. People should also exercise that right peacefully.
Hey, genius, that's the problem. The second half of your segment, your statement. It's the not peacefully stuff. Trump takes over with Los Angeles out of control. The president calls in the National Guard without permission from the governor.
And we're in the middle of four days of clashes over the rounding up of illegals in lawless Los Angeles, the showdown, which is really law versus disorder. Left versus what's right. And joining us now, Ben Dominich, Fox News contributor at large for the Spectator World, host of the Big Ben Show podcast. Ben, Is it the president's fault that there's unrest? Are you kidding me in Los Angeles?
Mm-hmm. Look, the you can't Imagine a circumstance here that is clearer for Democrats in terms of demonstrating that they've learned something from the most recent election. And they are absolutely failing. I mean, this is a situation that demands calling for law and order, doing everything necessary in order to clamp down. Say that, you know, even if we are going to protest against the policies of the President, we're going to do so peacefully, and we're not going to tolerate the targeting of people who are doing their jobs, doing the tasks with the Department of Homeland Security that the President and ICE have been tasked with.
And this is a moment when I think you could actually have someone like Gavin Newsome demonstrate that he's learned something. But instead, it's the opposite. Instead, it's just virtue signaling to the far left. On this stuff. It's pretending like it's not a problem, when it obviously is.
And it contributes to the idea that the Democratic Party, when it comes to running big cities, when it comes to running These big prominent states, that all they do is contribute to chaos as opposed to ending it.
So they blocked the 101 freeway. They also blew up a cop car. You remember they're throwing all types of debris over the bridge in order to get as many cop cars as possible. And then we have to call in the National Guard when it took the LAPD 35 minutes to get help for a fellow law enforcement division. To me, that's criminal.
How could law enforcement not back up law enforcement? Why? Because you have a governor of a sanctuary state. Listen to Gavin Newsome, cut seven.
So he's suing.
He's suing because we put the National Guard in. Brian, he should be thanking him. He should be thanking him and welcoming the guard. He should be saying, look, you know, this got out of control. We needed to make sure that law enforcement was protected.
You know, they've spent the last four years saying no one is above the law, et cetera, et cetera.
Well, apparently, people who want to protest about the enforcement of the actual laws on the books as it relates to immigration, apparently they are above the law. Apparently, they can get away with this kind of stuff under Gavin Newsom's watch. And I just, Brian, this is such a part of an overall problem that the Democratic Party has. They won't confront their extremists when it comes to trans issues. They won't confront their extremists when it comes to Hamas and the Free Palestine movement.
And they won't confront their extremists when it comes to actually enforcing our immigration laws. And until they do, I think that they are going to be in a very bad way politically.
So, Ben, this is, I don't think they fully realize the George Floyd era is over. People have sobered up and woken up. And if you want to go to bat for the mech, the people who are going after cops wearing messages. Mask and swinging Mexican flags, have at it. Maybe Kilmore Obrego-Garcia can be your spokesperson.
This is the thing, Brian. There's a completely different history in terms of movements that are successful and movements that aren't. Movements that are successful in America, like the civil rights movement, say, we love America, we love being Americans, we want to participate fully in America. Please let us do that. And they wave the flag of our country, not of another country.
If you want to suggest that this type of immigration, this type of migration that is happening illegally is one that actually represents people who do not want to assimilate, who do not want to become Americans, who do not want to actually live here and be our neighbors, that is a great image to have. That is exactly what they are currently doing. And it's the exact wrong approach if they wanted to achieve the types of reforms they want to, and it's the wrong approach if they want to win elections.
So back to my original point, which you kind of indicated that I feel you're watching some people say they're basically going to. To be in the middle. We watch Rahm Emanuel Westmore walk away from reparations negotiations. And then you have different people saying that we've been too woke.
So we're going to start maybe being a little bit more rational, Governor Whitmer. But not one has the courage to stand up in real time on a real incident and say, I back Trump on this. I can't have our cities burned to the ground again. That would separate you from the masses. But there's no hurt.
100% would. 100% would. And it also is something that would demonstrate that when things really hit the fan, you are prepared to deal with them as a competent leader. And that's something that I think is going to be a significant problem for Democrats going forward. That when we see them, when we have the opportunity to see them on the national level, what we see going on in Chicago, what we see going on in Los Angeles, we see chaos and we see people who are unwilling to confront the factions of their own party that are contributing to this chaos, that are putting people's lives and property at risk.
And until that changes, I really think that the Westmores of the world are going to be struggling through the kinds of. A baggage that they have to deal with from all these big city mayors in particular. Yeah, it's lip service until we know different. We'll see what happens. Are you looking for New Jersey to show you something?
The president closed from 16 to 6 points. Governor Murphy, remarkably ineffective. People are fed up. Do you think that there's a real chance of a regime change in New Jersey? I think that it is a significant possibility just given the elements that are involved in New Jersey and given the fact, frankly, that you don't have the kind of situation and circumstance that you have here in Virginia, where the Doge cuts have really hampered the ability of Winsom Sears to make significant traction.
But I do think that this is going to be an interesting election that perhaps cuts in different ways. And one of the ramifications that we've seen in recent years is Donald Trump's reach within the New York, New Jersey region is significant. There are significant portions of support there, enough that obviously elected key Republicans in this past election. And I think that that's a shift that is part of this overall coalitional shift that we're seeing across the country that could actually surprise in a lot of different ways. Ben Damage, thanks so much.
Check out his podcast, The Big Ben Show. I appreciate it, Ben. Great to be with you as always. All right. When we come back, Michael Watley joins us, chairman of the RNC.
Bottom of the hour, Governor Jim Gilmore. Don't move. Brian, Kilmicho. It's Brian Killmead. The more you listen, the more you'll know.
It's Brian Kilmead. No, of course, but what if Democrats could be the party that solved that problem? Not yet, but it's not, if you have a young face with ideas that don't work, that's not going to solve the problem. You have to have both. You have to have both.
Do you think the young faces don't have the right solutions right now? There's young and old Kenates. But there's new and old ideas. I'm looking for the ones that work. And that is Ram Emmanuel doing a podcast, letting everybody know with two ears that he's really considering running for president, former ambassador to Japan, very below-average mayor of Chicago, but an extremely effective, smart politician, and person with a well-known name.
Joining us now, Michael Watley, chairman of the RNC. Mike, great to see you. your thoughts about what Rahm Emanuel Is proposing basically stop with the woke stuff and start governing. Yeah, the Democrats should listen to him. I hope they don't.
But the fact is, right now, the entire Democratic establishment is doubling down on the same failed policies that they lost on in twenty four. The Democratic Party is all about open borders, inflationary spending in a weak America. That's not what the American people want, but it is what Jasmine Crockett and AOC and Bernie Sanders and every single leader that the Democratic Party is trying to coalesce around right now, or at least who wants to be the leader of the party, that's what they're doubling down on. I mean, it's pretty amazing too that like Westmore is not supporting Reparations legislation. Why would that be?
Why would Mayor Pete take his pronouns off his profile? You know, why are people talking about the need to go to the center? But I don't really see. I also thought if you just heard the last segment, if you really are a moderate. This is the time to stand up and go, I back the President on this.
We got to stop with his disorders in the cities. Yeah, that would show me sincerity. What does Gavin Newsom do? Gavin Newsom, who said he was going to run to the center, who did a podcast with a bunch of Republicans to kind of show that he can live in the middle. And as soon as we start having riots in California, he doubles down with the rioters.
He's doing more to protect illegal aliens in California than he is his own citizens.
So, right now, I saw CBS did a poll. 54 percent of the country support the president's deportation policies. And when asked, are you feeling safer? CBS asked, Are you feeling safer because of the president's immigration policies? 42 percent said yes, 30 percent said no.
How does that read compared to Election Day now that the president's actually doing the policies instead of just talking about it? Yeah, two big issues that President Trump ran on. Number one, obviously, the economy. And number two was illegal immigration. The fact that Joe Biden and the Democrats brought 15, 20 million illegal immigrants into the country.
Right now, those immigrants in California, they're getting housing assistance, they're getting food assistance, they're getting free health care, free tuition. I mean, they're being treated better than the constituents of California, the citizens who live in California. And Mayor Bass, Governor Newsom, Maxine Waters. I mean, every single one of the Democratic leaders in California is fighting harder for illegal immigrants than they are their own constituents.
So the big, beautiful bill, it means everything to the president. It's going to be a signature legislation. Even if he does other things three years from now, it's theorized. People that he has not won over yet, Senator Scott, Rick Scott, and Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, cut 35. Medicaid, what about Medicaid?
But listen, because this is important. For every dollar the state puts in for a single adult, childless, the government puts in nine, the federal government puts in nine bucks. That has led to all kinds of waste and abuse. There's upcoding inside Medicare, which also is putting at threat the benefits for people that need it.
So, again, there is all kinds of waste, fraud, and abuse in these programs. That's what Republicans are trying to root out. That's what President Trump is willing to do. Democrats, of course, don't care. They just don't care about spending money in mortgage on kids' future.
This is hard work. And he started that segment off saying, I can't sign on to it yet. And he's totally against the SALT, which is state and local taxes, writing that off. And then Mike Lower hops on CNN and says, I won't even take less. I won't even negotiate on that number.
If you're Senator Thune, what's your takeaway on that? Every Republican. Supports extending the Trump tax cuts. It means $10,000 for low-income families on an annual basis. Every Republican supports no tax on tips, no tax on overtime, and tax relief for seniors on Social Security.
These are the essentials of this bill. And it is critical to note: one, every Republican supports those. And we're going to have discussions around the edges of the big beautiful bill, and we're going to have back and forth. You remember I'm Just a Bill from Saturday morning cartoon shows, Schoolhouse Rock. We're watching that play out in real time.
Every single Democrat in the House voted against this bill. Every single Democrat in the Senate has said that they're going to vote against this bill. That no vote is a vote for the biggest tax hike in the history of the country.
So, Michael, what do you say to Mike Lawler? Mike Lauer says: if I don't get salt, I lose my seat. And New Jersey con Republicans, I'm going to lose my seat. What do you say? I know in Florida they have no patience for it.
In Texas, they have no patience for it. Chip Roy doesn't want to hear it from Mike Lawler. What do you say to them? Number one, are they misstating it? Is Mike Lowell overstating the fact that if he doesn't get a tax deduction for state taxes, he won't win?
This bill is the embodiment of the agenda that President Trump ran on, right? This is about fixing our economy, right? This is about restoring our southern border. This is about making sure that we have American energy unleashed. It's about having a strong military.
That is what is in this bill. We're going to have arguments and fights over the contours of what this bill is going to look like, but we know. At the end of the day, we're extending the Trump tax cuts, no tax on tips, no tax on overtime, and a strong border and a strong energy policy. What concerns you most about the midterms? I mean, the House, obviously, but how many seats legitimately are in contention?
You know, the midterms, it's a tough slug every time, right? The party in power in the White House loses seats in the midterm. We know that. We're swimming upstream against history, but it is all about the agenda. And if we're running on the same agenda that we did in 24, but this time it's promises made, promises kept, and we have an economy that is moving in the right direction, and we have a southern border that's going to be secure, we're going to be in a great place to defy history, right?
So the biggest thing for me right now is delivering on the policies that Donald Trump ran on and won on, because those are the policies that gave us Republican majorities in the House and the Senate. I mean, you definitely have opportunities in Georgia. You definitely have opportunities in New Hampshire and Maine with Senator Susan Collins has been the stalwart. Without her, you would argue it's tough for a Republican to win. But.
You don't have those big-name candidates yet. How much pressure is on you to find the potential talent as opposed to the established talent? Yeah, we're talking to a lot of people around the country about these races. We have a great pickup opportunity in Michigan. We have a great pickup opportunity in Georgia.
You know, we've got a tough hold in Kentucky, a tough hold in North Carolina, a tough hold in Maine. But, you know, we're going to make sure that we have candidates who are running on the right agenda. They have the resources that they need. You know, you flip over to the House side right now. There are 13 districts that Donald Trump carried where a Democrat sits in that seat.
Those are opportunities that we're going to be focusing on all day, every day to try and make sure that we flip those seats. And we do have some vulnerable Republicans, but we're going to be there for them. How concerned are you that you don't have Elon Musk's money right now? I'm not concerned about that. The fact is that Elon made some great contributions to the campaign last year and helping get the Doge program set up.
But we have one president, and he is setting the agenda right now for America. And when we run on that agenda, we will win on that agenda. Was there any hesitation when President Trump asked you to stay on? No, not at all. Fact is that we need to win these midterms in order to have a four-year presidency, not a two-year presidency where he's fighting Congress the way that we did coming out of the 2018 election cycle.
I believe in this man and I believe in this agenda. And, Mike Watley, you actually mirror his energy level.
So, that's what I know he likes about you, and he's very much in charge, right? Amen. Absolutely. Mike Watley, thanks so much. Governor Jim Gilmore next.
If you're interested in it, Brian's talking about it. You're with Brian Kilmead. When you raid Home Depot and workplaces, when you tear parents and children apart, and when you run armored caravans through our streets, you cause fear and you cause panic. And deploying federalized troops is a dangerous escalation. But we need to be real about this.
This is about another agenda. It's not about public safety. There's clearly no plan, and there is clearly no policy. I want the people of Los Angeles to know that we stand with all Angelinos, no matter where you were born. The First Amendment right gives you the ability, again, to protest peacefully.
But it does not give you the right to be violent, to create chaos, or to vandalize property. And that will not be tolerated. Too late. LAPD stood back. They got traction.
And now we're going to have a fourth day of unrest. But it's Donald Trump's fault. Joining us now is former Virginia Governor Jim Gilmore. He served as also U.S. Ambassador to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe during President Trump's first term.
Governor, welcome back. Your thoughts about Mayor Bass. I think that Mayor Bass has failed in her duty. The fact is, we've had violence in California now for several days. Damage is being done, people are being threatened.
And the President this is the President's policy that's under attack by Gavin Newson and Manmayer Bass.
So as a result of that, the President was confronted with the question, what really should I do? And Brian, if you think about it, he was criticized badly previously for not calling out the National Guard in Washington. The Black Lives Matter riots that we saw across the nation set all that down as a preliminary.
So I think the President really is doing the right thing here. I chaired a National Commission on Homeland Security years ago, and we discussed the role of the National Guard. And I think that this is appropriate. It's the right thing for the president to do. I think he's showing decisive leadership to stand up for American law.
What would you do if a president went around you when you were governor of Virginia? How would you take that?
Well, I think that the duty of the governor uh under the under the rules is in fact to maintain order in his state. And the mayor, too, but especially the governor.
So I really think what we're seeing here is a failure of the governor of California, Newsom, to do his job. The correct approach should be law enforcement should handle things first, then if that is out of hand, the National Guard under the rule of the governor. And if that fails, then the President can step in and federalize the Guard. That's the way it's supposed to be. But if the Mayor and especially the Governor fail in their duty, the President can't allow himself to be scapegoated because of his unwillingness to apply appropriate authority at the appropriate time.
And the other thing, Governor, is too with these illegal immigrants. The President said, I got elected to round up illegal immigrant criminals in our country. There's roughly 650,000 of them. Most of these criminals are on everybody's A-list, most wanted list, and some of them are the worst of the worst. And yet, these people waving Mexican flags think they're going to wind over public sentiment?
It makes no sense. Exactly right. Look, the fact is that the law says that the immigration laws ought to be handled in a particular way. The Congress has not stepped in to provide any leadership, change, or even debate on this in any serious way.
So it's a congressional failing as well. But we have to live under the rules that we have, and the rules are that you can't just run across the southern border and set yourself up in Los Angeles or any place else in violation of the law. And particularly when this thing gets out of hand and some armed resistance or with rocks and sticks and destruction of vehicles, endangered people. You can't allow that to happen. And the president was right, I think, to step in.
Frankly, Brian, if he didn't, Then we would see Governor Newsome and Mayor Best blaming him if things got out of hand. I think he's cut that off. Governor, which drives me crazy, is that ICE law enforcement, National Guard's enforcing law, and LAPD law enforcement. But they're basically told to stand back because of the sanctuary policies. That leaves their brethren in harm's way with unruly crowds.
Listen to LAPD chief Jim McDowell McDonnell in a tough spot because politically they want him to say Trump's the problem. Cut 15. We are overwhelmed as far as the number of people out there engaged in this type of activity and the type of things that they're doing. They'll take backpacks and the backpack will have a cinder block in it. They have a hammer and they'll break up the cinder block and use that, pass it around to throw at officers, to throw at cars and throw at other people.
We've seen people with hammers, and you've broadcasted, breaking the bollards behind the federal building and taking the rocks, if you will, or pieces of concrete and throwing them at officers. We've had liquid of who knows what description thrown at officers. There's no limit to what they're doing to our officers. It sounds like he needs help, doesn't he? Case closed.
Case closed. Governor of California should have moved the guard under his authority immediately to protect people when he failed to do so. The president is going to get scapegoated and blamed if he doesn't take action. He did take action. And I think it's appropriate under these circumstances.
Let's talk politics for a second. Lieutenant Governor Winsome Sears wants to be the next governor, and he's going against Abigail Spamberger. Your thoughts about her quest to succeed Governor Youngkin?
Well, of course, I'm a lifelong Republican, so I support Winsom Sears. I think she's going to be a good governor. Look, Virginia at this point is tough because the Northern Virginia vote historically has voted Democrat, but she has grabbed on to a significant issue, and it was the issue I ran on when I was elected governor of Virginia, and that's the car tax.
Now, under my rule, under my authority, we got rid of 70 percent. But the Democrats and some renegade Republicans put a system in place which would gradually and quietly reinstate the car tax.
Well, I think Winsemser sees this and she knows how unpopular that tax is, and she's beginning to run on that, and I think it's going to help her a great deal. Spanberger has said she wants to get rid of it too, but that is not to be believed. You have to look and see what the approach of the two parties are, and that includes in Virginia.
So the only person that has a real chance of eliminating this tax once and for all is Winsom Sears.
So you think the Dogecots hurt Winsom Sears' chance? Chances. Oh, yeah, there's no question about it. You have to be realistic about this. If you put people in jeopardy with their jobs in Northern Virginia who are federal employees, there's a serious danger that they're going to turn around and vote Democrat, which is the tendency anyway.
So, you know, it's a challenge for Winsome Sears. But if she grabs the appropriate issue or issues, she can win. And frankly, I think the issue of right to work is a second issue that she's going to run on. And I think that Spanberger is not the right person to be governor of Virginia. All right, we're going to find out.
You guys do in the odd-year election.
So we'll see that in New Jersey.
So, the other thing you're passionate about is supporting Ukraine, as am I. I believe they're the good guys in the situation. I can't believe it's even cloudy in some people's judgment. President United States making it clear he's going to let them fight it out. Listen to this.
Sometimes And this is me speaking maybe in a negative sense. But sometimes you see two young children fighting like crazy. They hate each other and they're fighting in a park. And you try and pull them apart, they don't want to be pulled.
Sometimes you're better off letting them fight for a while. And then pulling them apart. And I gave that analogy to Putin yesterday, I said, uh President, Maybe you're going to have to keep fighting and suffering a lot because both sides are suffering. Before you pull them apart, before they're able to be pulled apart. And they've suffered a million casualties.
This is the Russians, and about 300,000 to 400,000 deaths. But it doesn't bother the Russians. Yesterday, Ukrainian President Zelensky rejected President Trump's claim that Russia is serious about pursuing peace because he also said that. Your thoughts?
Well, first of all, if I were advising the President, I would advise him to look to the national goals of the various parties. And the Russians' goal is absolutely the immediate subjugation of Ukraine, And beyond that, the threat either politically or militarily of the rest of Europe, as well as he wants to reassemble the old Russian Empire. The goal of the Ukrainians is survival and sovereignty as an independent nation. When I was United States ambassador over in Europe, I sat with the Ukrainians as a nation every week. I understood exactly what they're doing, and they just don't want to be part of this Russian conquest.
So, look, my view is this: President Trump can step back, and that's okay if he chooses to do that. But the support militarily, intelligence-wise, and resources must continue to the Ukrainians. If the Ukrainians lose, I think we're hitting for a general world war, and I don't want to see that happen. I know, absolutely. I congratulate you on this.
I think your position on this is exactly right. Governor, the thing is, I know they're not a perfect democracy, but who is? And they're getting there. And Zelensky's not profiting personally from any of this. And you shut down the Russian Orthodox Church because it's basically a spy.
Apparatus for the Russians.
So, all this stuff about Zelensky getting rich, shutting down churches, no elections, all three are wrong. You can't have an election by a Ukrainian constitution in the middle of a war. But lastly, they are doing some really impressive things. We know about what they did with the drone strikes last weekend. And then yesterday, Ukrainian drone attack was right into Moscow, shut down two major airports.
That would be the one thing. Start disrupting the Russian life the way the Ukrainians have their life disrupted. Exactly right. But the big picture response I want to be sure I get across is that there's this disturbing tendency right now in the Republican Party towards isolationism, and strong voices are necessary to counter that. I'm trying to do that, but you are doing that, and I'm grateful for it, because there are a number of other conservative leaders doing it as well, standing for the fact that America needs allies in this global conflict that we're in.
Absolutely. The one thing that is benefiting is NATO now suddenly realizes they have to defend themselves, and there is a real threat. We could say it over and over again, but not until Trump came back did they fully realize it. And they've been, even Germany is pledging, and I kind of believe them, they're going to get up to 5%, which would be pretty amazing. And it would be a big burden to share.
It would be great to share some of the defense burden with our allies.
Well, the President is entitled to a lot of credit for this. You know, I don't necessarily agree with everything that President Trump does, but he's right about pushing the NATO allies to be more resourceful and to stand up for themselves. And if the Germans are actually going to do this, and we know their history and their scared people as well because of that history, but if they stand up and join with the British and the French, then I think that ought to be a signal to Putin that he's not going to win this war. It would be great if he understood that. Governor Jim Gilmore, thanks so much.
Always great to talk to you. My pleasure, Brian, and thank you for your leadership on that. Absolutely. You got it. When we come back, we'll be able to open up the phones.
Also, if you'd rather write, if you're at work, go to BrianKillmee.com, just click on comments, and I'll be able to read them out loud. Back in a moment. Diving deep into today's top stories, it's Brian Kilmead. Radio that makes you think. This is the Brian Kill Me Show.
Large group of people. It could turn very volatile if you move law enforcement in there in the wrong way and turn what is just a bunch of people having fun watching cars burn into a massive confrontation and altercation between officers and demonstrators. Can you believe that? That's a local KABC reporter. A bunch of people just standing around having fun watching cars burn.
This guy should be fired for the worst news instincts and broadcasting in the history of man. Just having fun. What is wrong with just on a Sunday afternoon, beautiful sunny day, watching a robo-taxi burn to the ground? A series of them. No, it's even more fun.
Breaking up a cinder block with a hammer, handing it out to your friends, and throwing them at law enforcement. After all, they have face shields for a reason. What could be more fun than that? Maybe you could have a point system. What idiots.
That's the same company that gave us Terry Moran, who was suspended over the weekend. After an unprecedented, unwarranted rant against Stephen Miller.
So, this guy who got to sit down with the President of the United States. And then basically mocked him and smuggly did the interview, which was a total blown opportunity because David Muir screwed up the the bait so bad he did not get the interview. He knows better even to ask.
So the AB T's senior correspondent, Terry Moran, suspended. After putting this on social media, and it's a long one. About Stephen Miller. Blasted the chief of staff, deputy chief of staff, as a man richly endowed with the capacity for hatred. The thing about Stephen Miller is that he's the brains behind Trumpism.
Yes, he is one of the people who conceptualizes the impulses of Trumpist movement and translates them into policies, but it's not what's interesting about Miller. Like many other nationalist leaders, he's a man with an authoritarian cast of mind and a personality to match, adding that he was not endorsing any political point of view. Are you kidding me? He deleted it, now is suspended. That was the call from the White House.
Just sickening. Also, important to know, another mainstream person, Scott Pelley, who once hosted and anchored the national news, in urging CBS not to settle a lawsuit from the President of the United States after their ridiculous, biased interview of editing of Kamala Harris. Who gave a rant at Wake Forest just talking about basically, without naming them, how evil Donald Trump is? Those are your fair and balanced people. They are blowing up before your eyes, let alone Stephanopoulos losing a $15 million defamation suit for calling President Trump a rapist.
Howard, you're listening in Omaha, Nebraska on COIL. Thanks so much, Howard. Hey Brian, I am infuriated at the way Trump is continuing to talk. about Zelensky and the brave Ukrainians. Our Congressman Don Bacon has has commented on this forcefully.
This two-hat strategy where he tries to play, let's make a deal on one hand with the likes of Russia and Iran. versus being the leader of the free world.
Well, I kind of feel like he's misplaced that second hat. In a way, look, I disagree with him on Ukraine. I think he's going to exhaust the talks. I think within a few weeks, it's going to be over with the talks, and he's going to have to hit Iran. But I say, when you're president of the United States and you know what it's going to mean putting our guys in jeopardy, you've got to really think about it hard.
It's not a political science class anymore, and you're not on the sidelines, you're in the game. I think he does that. I understood the approach with Russia by saying: if I just go and say Russia's bad, just like Biden did and everybody else did, I don't have any venue to talk to him.
So I kind of liked it. But it's the execution part about putting the sanctions on, which I want to see next. And I want to see them get the weapons. At the very least, give them the patriots that they need to defend themselves. They're the good guys in this.
And Iran, excuse me, Russia is our enemy too. Sandra listing in New Jersey. Hey, Sandra. Good good. Good morning, Ashley Brian.
Brian, you know, I was thinking about this, this horrible situation in Los Angeles, and it's even starting to happen here as well. What burns me up is when Biden was president for four years, we swallowed a river. We went along with everything they were doing, all these tens of millions of people coming here, unvetted, unsafe.
Now it's our turn. We elected Trump. We want law and order. We want safety for the people. They are not respecting us now.
We respected them.
Now it's our turn. And I don't see them letting us do what we need to do. And let's see how it turns out. They're not even giving us a chance. And that's what's burning me up.
Well, put it this way. It's exposing everybody to, do you want law and order or law and disorder? I think we're choosing order. We don't want our cities burned, whether you're working class or upper class. You don't want to feel in jeopardy.
And you don't want illegal immigrants taking up all your services, especially if you're living paycheck to paycheck. Wow, I live in Los Angeles. I live in New York, and I live in Boston. I live in Philadelphia. My taxes are through the roof.
Why? Well, in almost every case, almost all the social services are going to illegal immigrants or people who don't want to work or on drugs, or in San Francisco, Los Angeles, where if I have a drug addict, give them a right to being homeless, let them live on the streets, give them needles if they're a drug addict. We're all making our decisions on this. You don't need a politician to tell us how you feel. All families are doing it.
And for those people who think that it's compassionate to go the left way, it's just not effective. Dayton, Ohio. I'm going to be at Victoria Theater talking to you, taking you questions just like this: History, Liberty, and Laughs on the 23rd at Winspear Opera House over in Dallas, and then of the Dominion Energy Center in Richmond, Virginia. That'll be September 27th. I hope to see all the listeners there.
From high atop Fox News headquarters in New York City, always seeking solutions, never sowing division. It's Brian Kilmead. Hi, everyone. Welcome to the latest moments of Brian Killmee Chow. I come to you from New York City, a sanctuary city, but looking one that's 3,000 miles away that's basically on fire.
This hour, I'll be joined by Elisa McClain. She's standing by from the GOP House Conference. She's the chair there. And then Steve Hilton, who wants to be the next governor of California. Man, stand up and speak out about how you would do things differently, Steve, as you try to get some traction as a Republican in California.
Not easy. Right now, I already saw the video. The Chinese delegation, U.S. delegation, including Howard Luttnick, are meeting in London to talk about a path forward on a trade deal. If not, A trade deal.
To get rare earth back in our country, and they want to release from different technologies that we're holding back on them. We'll see if any progress is going to be made by these two rivals.
So let's get to the big three. Number three. The last time Washington did a reconciliation bill, that was three summers ago, that was so-called Inflation Reduction Act. This new big, beautiful bill is moving entirely in another direction. It's going to end up with the government spending less.
Yep, the big, beautiful bill continues to dominate all conversations. We'll see where it goes. Number two. Instead of conjuring up a new Joe Rogan, Ask yourself why you lost the old one. Because he used to be on your side.
They tried real hard to cancel Rogan a few years ago. You think people don't remember when you do this to them? Yeah, we all remember. Remember they said ivermectin when he used it, his horse tranquilizer, and they tried to mock him and then went back in his tweets and finded something politically incorrect?
Well, he remembers. Dems go middle. More and more presidential hopefuls on the left decide the future of America is center-left, not way left. We'll discuss if this is going to be a strategy that's effective. Number one.
Is chaos? caused by the administration. People should exercise their right to protest. That's their First Amendment right. People should also exercise that right peacefully.
Really? Trump takes over. Los Angeles out of control. The National Guard comes in because the cops won't come down.
Now they're involved, now that they've shut down the 101 freeway and had four straight nights of rioting, it is your choice: law and order against law and disorder. America, make the call. And by the way, with disorder come the Mexican flags, illegal immigrants, an unbelievable amount of social welfare for people that don't belong here. Joining us now is Congresswoman Lisa McClain. Congresswoman, welcome back.
Hey, thanks for having me. I know you're not dealing with a a California problem. You got Michigan challenges. But your thought about what's going on so far as you see four straight days of riots? I mean, it's just, it's sickening, it's repulsive, it's disgusting, but let's be honest, Brian, are you really surprised?
I mean, look at the leadership in California. First and foremost, right, it's not okay to attack law enforcement. And the problem isn't the reaction. The problem is the people who are rioting. Because when you don't have law and order, Brian, you have anarchy.
And that's exactly what you're saying. When you care more about the criminals than you do the law-abiding citizens and the people like the law enforcement who are trying to protect the law-abiding citizens, that is completely, I mean, I don't even know what to say about it. I don't know what to say. It's sickening. Congresswoman, so far, arrests.
ICE is averaging 1,500 daily arrests. 54,000 are in custody. That's an increase of 127 percent from the first 100 days.
So a lot of people are getting upset that these illegal immigrants are being taken out of their community, many of which are criminals.
So it's only going to get worse. It's it well, it's only going to get worse, but there you have it. Democrats would rather put the law enforcement officers in danger than remove illegal citizens. When you have people who are here illegally, are we surprised that they commit illegal acts? I mean, I don't get this chaos.
I don't get it. It's like we're living in a third world country over there in California. And if people are going to spit on the American flag and they hate America so much, I mean, there's flights leaving every day. Why don't they get on there and go go live in Venezuela? I want you to hear this KABC reporter to talk about how things are being skewed against Trump and against most Republicans.
Here you have a riot totally out of control. We can all see it for ourselves. LAPD slow in reacting to a request for backup for ICE when crowds start getting too big for them to control. And listen how the KABC reporter plays this. Large group of people.
It could turn very volatile if you move law enforcement in there in the wrong way and turn what is just a bunch of people having fun watching cars burn into a massive confrontation and altercation between officers and demonstrators. You believe this? A bunch of people just having fun watching cars burn. Yeah.
I would prefer to watch maybe a sporting event to have fun, but the Democrats would prefer to watch cars burn to have fun. That's the problem. That is the whole problem with the Democratic Party is We believe in law and order. You said it at the very outset of your podcast, and that's the rules in which we live by. But continue to compare and contrast the two parties, right?
One party, the Democrats, they're for the criminals. They're for the illegals. The other party, the Republicans, are actually for the law-abiding citizens and for people who have gotten here the right way. It's really, really simple. This isn't a tough one.
But if we don't deal with this and deal with it swiftly, there's going to be more than this. I mean, President Trump made the right call to bring in the National Guard because who's going to protect the law-abiding citizens? We forget about those people in this Here are some prominent Democrats. You got Booker, Congresswoman Nanette, Barragon, and Klobucher. Listen to them, cut four.
for the president to do this is only gonna incite the situation and make things worse. A lot of these peaceful protests are being generated because the president of the United States is sowing chaos and confusion. It's only gonna make things worse. They're there to protest the mass deportations that are happening. And so it was peaceful.
And you don't wanna inflame things by threatening to bring in the Marines or deporting people based on a mistake. He is hell-bent on inflaming the situation. So that is the mindset. Instead of saying, well, this is an opportunity to be a more moderate party, they're going to bat for the illegal immigrants, burning cars and robo-taxis. Hmm.
Well, um I That's the whole problem. I think the President is hell-bent on protecting the American people, where those people and the Democrats are hell-bent on protecting the people that got here illegally. That's the biggest difference between the two: we need to protect law and order and the people who provide protection for us. And I would ask them. It's really simple.
Think of it if you have a curfew for your child, and you say, hey, your curfew is 11 o'clock, and your child comes in at 11:15, and you do absolutely nothing, but your wife says, Oh, honey, don't say anything, because it'll just escalate. What time do you think your child's gonna come home the next night if he got away with it the first night? He's not coming home at 10:45. They're coming home at 11:30. It's just going to escalate if you don't deal with the problem.
That's exactly what we see. We didn't deal with the problem at the border. Millions came in here illegally, and this is the cause of that, or excuse me, this is the effect of that. And President Trump's trying to clean it up. I hear you.
So we'll see where this goes. How do you feel about the big beautiful bill? What is it going to look like when it gets back to your chamber? You know, I'm an optimist by nature. I believe that the Senate will make some minor changes, but I really just don't I don't think they're going to make major, major changes.
One, I don't think they have time to do that. And I really don't think they have the appetite to do that.
So, my hope is they'll change things a little bit. They got to put their fingerprints on it. But I do think we'll get it back with minor changes, and I think we'll be able to pass it. I mean, we have to, or we're going to see the largest tax increase. You've heard all the.
The talking points on that.
So I'm optimistic. We'll get it. How do you feel about the salt tax being less? It looks like Senator Johnson and Rick Scott, they are dead set against not having that in the bill. Yeah.
I understand things from their perspective. I can see it from their lens. They're not necessarily wrong. But in the big picture, I think the SALTS caucus here in the House has been very adamant that they need something to bring home to their constituents. And that was a real tough negotiation, real delicate negotiation that Speaker Johnson and the like had to negotiate.
My hope, and I know hope's not a strategy, but I really hope they don't touch that because I think that'll be really difficult to get it passed in the House if they change it. And what do you see as your biggest challenge in the conference? I know it's going to be hard to hold the House like tradition would have it. What do you see as your biggest challenge, Congressman McLean? Just the diversity in what we have in the conference rate, and none of the members are doing anything wrong.
They're representing their district. But when you have people that are in extremely conservative districts like my own, I want to cut more. I mean, there's no question. I think there's a lot more meat on the bone to cut, but how we do it, I think, matters. And then you have other people that are in very, very, I would say, purple, if not blue, districts that we got to worry about the midterms because if we don't win the midterms, everything comes to a halt.
But what I will remind everybody is we have reconciliation, then we have rescissions, then we have appropriations. Then, if we do our job right, we have another bite at the reconciliation apple, which could truly be transformational change.
So, again, I'm optimistic. Do I want to get everything right now? Yes, I do. I'd love to be able to lose 25 pounds in my first week on my diet. But if I lose five, I've made Progress.
And I'm on the journey to get healthy, and that's exactly what we're trying to do with the one big beautiful bill. And I'm sure that's happened behind closed doors, but you take it in one at a time. It is. Congresswoman, the Chairman of the House Conference, Louisa McLean, thanks so much. Oh, thank you.
Have a great day. You too. Back in a moment. You're with Brian Kilmeade. The fastest three hours in radio.
You're with Brian Kilmead. This is a victory for due process. It's a victory for the Constitution. It should not have taken this long. I mean, as you indicated, the Trump administration.
dragged its feet for a very long time, ignored a nine to zero order from the Supreme Court. But it's important that Abrego Garcia now come home and have his due process rights upheld in a court of law. Really, is that important to you to have a human trafficker who beats his wife? Yes, human trafficker. And by the way, we were finding out that Implicated in human trafficking is the death of some people who would be trafficked illegally, who were smothered to death in a trunk.
And now we find out child porn on top of that? Gangster?
So that's the guy out of he belonged to be deported. But the thing is, he didn't go to that country.
So that was the issue. And by the way, the reason for him not being deported to that country doesn't exist anymore because the original order was from the judge that you can't go back there because of a rival gang. Get this, a rival gang. But he's not a gangster, but you're in a rival gang. Pretty sure you need to be in a gang to have a rival.
I'm pretty sure that's how it works, if I'm correctly. You can't have a Yankee Boston Soccer Boston Red Sox rivalry if there's no Yankees. Pretty sure. But we'll have to work on that.
So now he's back and he's going to get his day in court. The guy you split Margarita with, who you demanded to see. How embarrassed are you? As a Democratic Party, that's your symbol. We won the Kilmore Obrego Garcia standoff.
Good luck with that. As all the information and all the evidence gets offered up into the public domain, what I found interesting. About other networks covering this story, they said they allege human trafficking.
Okay, allege human trafficking. Why don't you use the video of him human trafficking? of him with a bunch of people who don't know a word of English. staring straight ahead as you get pulled over for speeding, at which time you have a conversation with a sheriff on camera and on mic, who calls back to the FBI to say, I think this guy is human trafficking. But if you're presenting a case and trying to tell a story, you leave all that out.
It's insane. But it shows the bias of reporting, let alone commentating. I don't think you could have biased commentary. You could just say, Well, I'm conservative, this is how I feel. But if you're going to go report a story and you say the alleged gangster only one judge said it, no, two judges said it.
And if you look at the police report, the gang experts say that he had all the telltale signs of being in a gang. And then his wife indicated when she gave her debriefing after being beaten, she said, well, nothing's going to happen to him. Because he can't be touched. Why? Because he's in a gang.
That's the intimation. It's just incredible. The other story is with Democrats. Where are they going to go from here?
So now they have a DNC chair who is in tears because everyone's ignoring him, and they have a group of people that says the future of the party is going to be moderate, but when they have a chance to stand up on a political issue that matters, even though they're not in power, Rahm Emmanuel, Wesmore, Governor Bashir. Anybody of worth that say, listen, I side with the president on this. You got to bring law and order. This law and disorder, and the city's got to stop. But you don't.
And that's why I think you should hear this guy, Ken Martin, caught on. We don't know how this audio leaked out, but here he is talking to David Hogg. His deputy. About how sad he is that no one listens to him. This is the head of the DNC, CUT 27.
And I'll be very honest with you for the first time in my hundred days on this job. And the other night I said to myself for the first time, I don't know if I want to do this anymore. No one knows who the hell I am. I'm trying to get my C-legs underneath of me and actually develop any amount of credibility so I can go out there and raise the money and do the job I need to to put ourselves in a position to win. And again, I don't think you intended this, but you essentially destroyed any chance I have to show the leadership that I need to.
You clown, who the hell elected this guy? Because your deputy is getting publicity or speaks out, whatever it is. David Hogg, right or wrong, said that some of these people are just mailing it in, not fighting, so they should be primaried. Because of that, he got a lot of publicity. Ken, if you're the guy who's running the DNC or the RNC or the Delhi down the block, you take control.
He's my deputy. Doesn't reflect what I say. He's going to get in line. If not, I'm going to make sure he gets fired. Then you tell us the vision for you, which you think the party should be going.
Instead, they say when the tape goes on, he sounds like he's going to cry. That's the leadership of your party.
So Neil McDonough joined us earlier on One Nation. Over the weekend, and he's an outstanding actor. You all know when you see he's the star of the new PBR movie that's out now. It's kind of the Rocky on Bullriding. 50-something-year-old decides to go back and be a champion to prove to the next generation.
Well, the movie's just selling out all over. But he is somebody who's very patriotic. And has this idea. that the White House found out about it. And you talk about Patriotic.
Listen to this, Cut30. I thought, hey, here's a great idea. Let's start our own streaming service. MAGA films, that films that were TV shows or podcasts or anything that are really just pro-America. And they love the idea, and we're going to get that going.
And that's something that I'll be very proud of to start with my wife Reve and our team that we have, Kip Conweiser, and everyone else. And I think if you just make really good films, that's where you start from. And that's what we're doing at the McDonough Company. We're making really good films that have a backdrop of faith, have a backdrop of America, and really talk about the family core values of what it is to be an American. How about that?
But you know, if you're a Democratic candidate, how about being pro-American? Neil McDonough, not a political horse in this race, but the White House heard and goes, yeah, we'd like to deal with MAGA films. There's so many patriotic movies out there and not just Rocky Four. There's so many great movies out there, the Patriot did why wouldn't it be great to put it on a channel? And feel that, whether it's the black and white World War II movies or things that happen, they don't have to be rah-rah, but they tell the American story.
I love it. Why don't Democrats want to tell the American story? You're going to see it again on Saturday with a parade. It's going to be a salute to the U.S. Army.
Democrats are going to boycott that parade? Yeah, they're going to. And that's fine, except where independents aren't going to think it's fine, and those are the ones you want to win over. I'm not sure why Democrats won't want to show up for that, maybe because Trump's doing it. He listened to the Brain Kill Me show.
Steve Hilton's next. He'll make sense of California. The talk show that's getting you talking. You're with Brian Kilmead. The reporter asked me, well, could Governor Newsome or Mayor Baz be arrested?
I said, well, no one's above them off. They cross the line and commit a crime. Absolutely, they can't.
So there was no discussion about arresting Newsome. And so, you know, what he's done, he's failed that state. He waited two days of that city burning. and people getting hurt officers being assaulted before he made any declaration of an unlawful assembly. He played to the game.
President Trump isn't late to the game. Men and women are not late to the game.
So that is Tom Holman saying that if the governor and mayor got in the way, they'll be arrested. And now they go, Oh, come arrest me. Governor Newsom goes, Oh, come arrest me. Mr. Tough guy.
It's unbelievable once again, he is MIA in the middle of a moment. He's sitting there in some control center instead of out there seeing what's happening in Los Angeles. Why? He doesn't want to get he doesn't want to get into the unrest. He doesn't want to get his hands dirty doing anything.
Remember when those fires burned, Uh Pacific Palisades. He's walking around going, Yeff, let's get to the bottom of this. I heard there was no water. Curtain's all water. It's your state, you idiot.
And by the way, two inept leaders, the American people are going to make a decision. Do you want this in Chicago? Do you want more of this in New York? And do you see what's happened in Los Angeles? And one of the people that wants them to go Republican for the first time in generations is Steve Hilton.
He's a Republican California gubernatorial candidate, serves as Director of Strategy, obviously, for the British Prime Minister David Cameron. He has been a successful contributor here at Fox News for years, and host Steve Hilton joins us now. Steve, where are you at this moment?
So I'm heading to LA. I will be right there. I'm going to see for myself what is going on because we cannot accept this. We cannot accept this kind of chaos. And exactly as you say, it's just like with the fires.
There's a two-part story here. It's always the same with these guys. First of all, their extreme policies cause a problem. With the fires, it's their extreme environmental problems, policies. With this, it's their extreme sanctuary policies.
The sanctuary state policy, the sanctuary city policy. That's what caused this problem because it meant that they didn't cooperate with ICE. The lack of cooperation is why you have operations like this to enforce federal law and to enforce the mandate that President Trump was given by the American people. That's step one, right? The extreme policies create a problem.
And then step two, they're so useless. That they can't cope with the problem.
So, when the fires broke out and got out of hand, they didn't know what they were doing, and it raged for days and weeks. Just as in this situation, once you saw the first sign of protests that were going to be whipped up by outside agitators, you could see that from the minute they got going. Instead of clamping down and enforcing order, they just let it blow up out of control. And now you have the situation that you do.
Now, how sick is this? The police chief weighed in on ICE. ICE arresting illegal immigrants, not happy about it in Los Angeles, which is full of illegal immigrants, many criminals. Most of these were criminals that were out and about for no apparent reason. Listen to the police chief yesterday, cut 13.
I also want to be unequivocally clear. The Los Angeles Police Department does not participate in or coordinate with immigration and customs enforcement on civil immigration enforcement. We've said this over and over again, and I can't stress it enough for the people in our community who have high levels of anxiety about this issue that we want everybody to believe and be able to call the LAPD in time of need if they've been a victim of a crime or a witness to a crime.
So you believe they need that. He wants everybody to know they're not cooperating with ICE. Fundamentally, I would never be able to say those words if I wore a uniform. I'm sick of hearing this, right? This is a pattern now with all of them, from the top down.
From Newsom, from the mayor, from the police chief, from the sheriff, sheriffs in other counties, all of them put out these grandstanding virtue signaling statements. Oh, we care about our community and we're not going to cooperate with ICE. All of them are doing it in California. It is an absolute disgrace. Why?
Because the exact people that are most fed up. With this lawlessness on immigration and the open border, are actually. Immigrant communities, legal immigrant communities. I've spent time with them. Like the first week of my campaign, I was there in East Los Angeles with a Latino community.
I asked them, What is the problem? What are they fed up about? What they want to change. They said, These illegal immigrants who are coming into our communities, they're not working, they're causing mayhem, they're doing illegal street vendors that are affecting local businesses, they're getting welfare, free cell phones, they go into the grocery store, father people. Yes, they're furious about it.
So it's a complete lie to say that the community or Latino communities are not are not supportive of what ICE is doing. That is just a lie. The activists are. The far left activists, by the way, some of whom who are organizing these riots are actually funded by California taxpayers, if you can believe that. One of the organizations at the heart of this gets taxpayer money from California state government.
So the activists Constantly going about ICE, but real people, regular people, legal immigrants, law-abiding members of the Latino community are fully in support of this. There uh the name of the group That people are accusing of cooperating with this also gets part funding from China. I think we're talking about the same group, the Coalition for Human Immigration Rights. They received tens of millions of dollars in government grants during the Biden administration, but mostly from the state of California. Yeah.
So right there, what are you doing? And they had a major event on Thursday, and they're part of this. That's why they know how to break up those cinder blocks into little rocks and hand them out. That's how they know how to shut down the one on one freeway. They're coordinating this.
Exactly. You know, the deep point here, Brian, and I say over and over again on so many issues, is that what you've got now in California with these far-left extremists, these ideologues who've been in charge, one party rule for 15 years, it's a situation where everyone who does the right thing in California, that's the majority. feel like they're being punished every single day. But the people who do the wrong thing Are being incentivized and rewarded and encouraged. It's totally upside down.
That's why we've got to have change. We can't go on like this. Right.
So it's amazing, too, how they're saying that Trump so are you in support of President Trump being in the National Guard? What else? They clearly, yes, they can't.
So listen to me. I would have done that too. If I was the governor. First of all, we wouldn't be in this situation. Because you wouldn't have this total stonewalling and lack of cooperation with ICE.
But secondly, if your main city of your state is is exploding. And you know where this leads, because we've seen it before. you want to clamp down on it right from the outset.
So if I when you have A police chief that's clearly not doing the job in the right way.
So, local law enforcement isn't doing their job. It would be my responsibility as the governor for me to call in the National Guard, let alone President Trump. We've got to have law and order.
So, the LAPD was not called in. Here is the ICE was being overwhelmed. The LAPD took 35 minutes to mount any type of help, which is unacceptable in the law enforcement community, let alone the citizens. But Governor Gavin Newsom says I know exactly who to blame. Cut seven.
Donald Trump has created the conditions you see on your T V tonight. He's exacerbated the conditions. He's lit the proverbial match. He's putting fuel on this fire ever since he announced he was taking over the National Guard in a legal act, an immoral act, an unconstitutional act. And we're going to test that theory with a lawsuit tomorrow.
So he's suing. He's suing that Donald Trump sent in help. I mean, he's got time for that, right? To sort of play some political game, because of course, all he really is thinking about is how this affects his presidential ambitions. I mean, it's so insulting and offensive to everyone in California, particularly in Los Angeles, to have this kind of, you know, this sort of pantomime.
These people are not serious. They're not serious about doing their job and the first responsibility. if you're a leader, is to protect public safety. And and and keep law and order. But they don't do that.
I mean, by the way, this is a pattern with these people.
So not that long ago, just a couple of weekends ago, you had an illegal house party in Los Angeles. It got totally out of control on the roof of a building. Then you had hundreds of people marauding around a neighborhood, vandalizing property, setting cars on fire. Very similar scenes to what we've just seen. That was just a couple of weekends ago.
What happened? The police did nothing. They just stood back. There was not a single arrest. This is a pattern with these people.
So I don't even know how this guy, Jim McConnell, admitted, though, that they needed help, Cut 15. We've seen people with hammers, and you've broadcast it, breaking the bollards behind the federal building and taking the rocks, if you will, or pieces of concrete and throwing them at officers.
We've had liquid of who knows what description thrown at officers. There's no limit to what they're doing to our officers. So He's admitting it. They can't handle it.
So the National Guard, they got 300. They're going to get up to 2,000. And then Pete Hagseth over the weekend said, I got 500 Marines on standby.
Well, when you've got Total failure to get on top of this situation locally. What else is the option? Just let it go on and on for days and days. without limit? Of course not.
And that that's what we saw, of course, happen With um the riots before in Los Angeles, you've got to clamp down on it. Early to stop it getting out of hand. But now we are where we are. We've got to stop this. And so I don't.
What else? What are the other options? I mean, they clearly can't handle it locally. Right.
And they're not going to get ahead of it.
So it's going to be another fourth day. And I imagine if things get, as the sun begins to set, it'll get worse. Steve, lastly, when it comes to rebuilding Pacific Palisades in the surrounding area, I hear it's going incredibly slow. I hear the permitting process is awful. What could you tell us?
That's exactly right. I mean, people are so furious. I mean, this is just another blow to LA. And I've been speaking to people in the area, they literally cannot believe. What's going on?
And it's the combination of the local governments, the insurance companies, they can't do anything. Contractors won't take any. action because they haven't got the permits And this is from people. Karen Bass Joomber, she told President Trump to his face, oh, yeah, we're going to get it all done quickly. They just have no clue how to run things competently, all of them.
It's just a total shambles. I mean, we can't, as I said, we can't go on like this. That's why I'm really confident now we're going to have change in California in 2026. And I will be the governor. And this won't happen when I'm the governor.
When's the election? June 26th, next year is the primary, about a year from now. General election in November. Where do you see your role in the next few weeks? Let people know what you would be like if you were in charge.
How do you see yourself? 100%. That's exactly right. So I'll be in LA today and for the rest of the week. And it's both sides of the equation.
Number one, Standing with Law enforcement. officers who want to do their job. and with people. In the community, who want to see order restored, and number two, with the legal immigrant community. who don't want to see this this complete diversion of resources or that schools or housing or their tax dollars to illegal immigrants who didn't do it the right way.
compared to them and their families who waited patiently, who did it the right way, like me, an i a legal immigrant who's done it the right way. It's the legal immigrant community who are more furious about what's been going on with the open border than anyone else, and I'm going to be standing with them. All right, Steve Hilton, best of luck. We look forward to talking to you throughout this. And let's hope day four is the last day, but I doubt it.
I mean, keep in mind, the last L.A. riots, two days. As bad as the Rodney King riots were, they were two days. We've already doubled that. Thanks so much, Steve.
Cheers, Brian. Thank you. All right. So just a quick reminder. Thanks to Fox Nation and more.
I'll be on stage, WHIO, Victoria Theater, WHIO listeners especially in Dayton, Ohio. Not this weekend, the weekend after Saturday night. You got the balcony remaining in some seats on the right, if the scheme is correct. And then I'll be in Dallas, Texas on the 23rd and the 27th. That's in August.
And then on the 27th in September in Richmond, Virginia.
So I hope to see everyone out there. Listen to the Brian Killmee show. When we come back, we're going to find out this if you need to know more. And the only way to do that is to give you more information and tell me afterwards if you needed that. News unique.
opinions. Hear it all on the Brian Kill Me Show. More to know. Sponsored by Previgen. Previgen made for your brain.
Yup, and let's use my brain right now and find out if you need to know more. First off, Caitlin Clark Stalker is in court. The pretrial conference will take place today at Marion County Superior Court on the case of Michael Lewis, who was arrested on a felony charge for allegedly stalking Clark. Clark's document said that when the FBI traced Lewis's messages, they discovered he was an Indianapolis guy, which police said was equally concerning. We'll keep you up to date on that.
Riley Gaines next unearths old tweets from the truly sick bully Simone Biles that undermines the nonsensical trans feud that she's on. Remember, she jumped over Riley Gaines for condemning these Minnesota's for using a transgender athlete to win a softball championship. She jumped on the transgender side, and then we realized in 2018 she was complaining in a tweet about how lucky she is. He doesn't have to compete against men. How about this?
Good thing guys don't compete against girls, or he would have taken all the medals. She posted in 2018 about a male who was. Was competing. Unbelievable, right?
Next, in sports, Oklahoma City Thunder, even the NBA Finals at one game apiece, an easy 123-107 victory. That's what the Knicks didn't do after being shocked in game one on a buzzer beater stunner.
Next, some of the most prevalent UFO conspiracy theories, including the one about aliens being housed at Area 51 in Nevada, were fueled by the Pentagon. They say, in an attempt to provide cover for secret weapons programs, really. The incident renewed local fervor over UFOs, with now retired colonel confessing to the Pentagon investigators that he was an official mission to spread disinformation and hide the true purpose of the site where the government was testing the first ever stealth warplane, the F-115-117, a Nighthawk. You know, now I don't think I can ever watch the X-Files again because the X-Files, the genesis, was based upon. Area 51 housing aliens, and they've done their plots and spun off from season one to two and all, and so forth.
Now, if he's the case, the whole show is moot. How many of you have to do that? I don't believe it. I've never seen one of those episodes. It was a great documentary.
Next, Mission Impossible: the final reckoning of star Tom Cruise earned a Guinness World record during filming when he completed six jumps out of a helicopter with his parachute on fire. What? In each of the 16 jumps, Cruz was strapped to a parachute that had been soaked in fuel and lit on fire before cutting himself free of the burning chute to playing a backup. Quote, Tom doesn't just play action heroes. He is an action hero.
A large part of his success can be chalked up to his absolute focus on authenticity and pushing the boundaries of what a leading man can do. It's an honor to be able to recognize the utter fearlessness with this new Guinness Brooklyn World Records. I mean, this is unbelievable. Is this all true, though? Do you think we're being had, is he really doing this?
He does. I mean, if you see a lot of this behind-the-scenes footage, he does a lot of it, and it's not green screen. He's got insurance for this. That's the thing. Tom Cruise dies.
Forget about Tom Cruise.
Well, yeah, but you should see some of the footage of him on holding onto airplanes. I know if it was three or four movies ago, he's literally holding onto the wing, and you see the plane taking off, and he's in the air holding onto an airplane wing. I know, or trying to do it. He does do a lot of that, too, right? Didn't he do a lot of his own stunts?
Who? Stallone. Oh, yeah, Stallone did a lot of his stunts, but I don't think at the magnitude of this, though, I mean, he takes it to the next level. That's pretty impressive. And I guess he's not done with Mission Impossible, even though they want to be done with the Mission Impossible.
We'll see. They keep making money. All right, next, parents are glued to their phones and they're sabotaging the child's development. According to a new study, the digital disconnection manifests in various aspects of child development. The research team found that children whose parents were frequently on devices showed poorer cognitive abilities, including attention problems, more emotional issues like anxiety and withdrawal, higher personal screen time, mirroring their parents' habits.
I mean, that's relatively new, but if you feel as though if you're with your parent and they're choosing the phone over you, that's like choosing another sibling over you. Yeah, they know that, but the kids at a young age, they're going to duplicate what their parents do.
So if your kids are young and they saw you on the phone all the time, they'd do the same thing. Right.
That's why we're back to rotary phones with a hard wire and with a cord that always gets tangled. No more cell phones. Finally. No more cordless phones. That's my new pledge.
