Price and coverage match limited by state law. Listen as Selenia tells us why she chose to vaccinate her daughter. I definitely felt like the pros far outweighed the cons. The diseases that I am protecting my child against, they're still here. And at the end of the day, it's my job as a mother to keep my child safe.
Talk to your child's doctor and learn more at WhyVaccines.com. Brought to you by Merck. That's not just the sound of that first sip of Morning Joe. It's the sound of someone shopping for a car on Carvana from the comfort of home.
That's a good blend. It's time to take it easy, like answering some easy questions to get pre-qualified for a car in minutes. Talk about starting the morning right. Just like customizing your terms so your car fits your budget.
Visit Carvana.com or download the app to experience car shopping the way it should be. Convenient, comfortable. Hey, I should have gone with the oh there, not the hey. Completely ruined it. There goes the perfect show haha. I try to tell my students there's no such thing as a perfect show.
Thus the irony and the sarcasm. It is the hump show though and this helps us to get toward the perfect weekend. So we got to get over this hump.
If you're heading into your Wednesday, giddy up, you got this. And then we're downhill toward gosh, a summer weekend. I love June for a couple of reasons. The weather in June where I live in New Jersey, I consider it the northeast.
I know it's more mid-Atlantic but living in New Jersey, the weather in June is perfect. And I actually have a couple of reports on some of the flowers in my backyard. Those of you been listening for a long period of time, you know I had major issues with flowers last year and I've been talking to them, coaxing them, praying for them, yep. And wow, maybe it's the fact that Bob moved in and is helping me with the lawn.
Well, he would say that of course. I'm not sure how much he's had to do with the flowers but he's been wowed by them. Anyway, it looks to be a banner year. But also in June, I love the fact that the days are the longest. June is the month with the extended daylight. Now it makes it a little harder to sleep in the morning because the sun is already pretty high in the sky. And then if, it hasn't happened lately, but if I try to take a nap in the evening, it has to be what after eight o'clock eastern, nine o'clock because it's still light out otherwise. So yeah, it throws me off a little bit.
I know it throws Producer J off a little bit too. But it is cool when you have time off to have that much daylight. It's neat. So yay June, yay official start to summer coming up in mere days. Obviously lots of kiddos that are still in school are counting the number of classes they have left, the number of hours they have left in school. So we're getting to that point of the year in which it's some summertime for everyone. Oh also mandatory OTAs. The first round of mandatory organized team activities in the NFL. They're wiggle room for all of these teams.
They don't hold them or have them all at the same time. But we are getting more access to players, obvi. And that'll continue for another three weeks or so. Then there's this break around July 4th. And then before you know it, third week in July. Essentially we're five weeks away from training camps starting in the NFL. What date did the Olympics start? That's actually a date that I need circled on my calendar. I know they come up this month. But I'm thinking that we're going to have NFL training camps and Olympics going on at the same time in Paris.
Friday July 26th. Absolutely. They're going to continue for a few weeks into August right into the heart of training camp and then on into preseason for the NFL. Great. We'll be so busy.
It'll be so much fun. Do you think the NFL is nervous? I do not think the NFL is nervous about anything. In fact I kind of feel like they're the empire in Star Wars. They're fat and happy and cannot possibly imagine a scenario where they're unseated or dethroned or destroyed. I would argue bigger than the empire because at least they get like you know hit by the rebels now and then the hit by the rebels now and then the NFL what gets in there. But before that though when the emperor was ruling the galaxy with an iron fist he didn't fear the rebels at all.
They had no clue that the rebels were even a threat until the death star the first one was under attack. Do you think the NFL has got to worry about anything like that? Something brewing? No I don't. I don't think so. I think right now it's still a situation where most sports would rather avoid going head to head with the NFL.
There it's it's an avoidance mechanism that kicks in with other sports and the NFL. You know us always with our Star Wars analogies and references. Also Acolyte. The Acolyte just came out as a brand new Star Wars series. My husband wants to watch it. I don't know.
I'm not sure I'm into it yet. We just finished Andor. He loved that. I've been trying to get him to watch it for over a year so that was good. Um it got to incorporate him slowly but I guess since A it's his birthday this week and B this is what he wants to watch. Star Wars lore. I guess I'll have to do it just because I want him to take ownership of Star Wars as well.
Yeah he wants to watch it. My lifelong gift to him is to be a Star Wars nerd. I've I've shared my Star Wars nerdiness with you now. Yeah I mean I'm all in. It's a gift that keeps on giving. Yeah you too actually.
That's two people that I've turned into Star Wars nerds. I mean I would like to watch the Acolyte as well but I feel like there's other things I haven't seen yet that I have to watch before that. Oh gotcha.
To fully like appreciate it you know. Yeah I've kind of given up on that. I agree with you. It would be great to see everything chronologically but there's just too much and we bounce around and dance around from series to series and movie to book and well I I read the book so I'll just take it whenever I can get it.
Yeah that's cool. It's the hump show half hour away your chance to ask Amy anything so send your last minute questions and and honestly I've already seen there are dozens of them on Facebook and Twitter so Jay has his work cut out for him but send them to our show twix at Amy after hours and then also our Facebook page too and again about 30 minutes from now your chance to ask Amy anything because there are mandatory OTAs taking place in this marvelous month of June. There's plenty of not just business that's going on behind the scenes but also there's plenty of audio from some of your favorite athletes which is kind of fun so we will do a June version of QB news coming up. What are you kidding me? You mean to tell me Amy Lawrence that we get QB news and then ask Amy in back-to-back segments?
Why yes yes you do and before that even we've got football just to whet your appetite. We don't have a wide receiver news wide out news wide out I'm trying to think of a w word that would work with the alliteration. Wacky wide outs? Wonderful wide outs? Wild wide outs. Hmm I'm gonna think of that see if I can come up with some type of a news or media reference that goes along with wide outs or even receivers. Receiver report that's boring that's boring boring boring boring boring boring. Receiver I feel like there's got to be something.
Boring boring boring boring boring. Anyway we're gonna do some football was really the point but first uh dot not not and dot sure if you saw this that was a combination of not and don't not and don't know if you saw this dot dot if you saw this actually right now just raise your pen raise your finger dot just dot in the air dot if you saw it. It's a new emote. It's a new emote. A dot actually I think there is a period like an emoji that's a period. No emote like I think that's what they call like for like you know I think they're like in video game like you ever heard of Fortnite? Of course. I've actually never played it. Could you imagine if I said no?
Yeah but as an emote like when you beat somebody you like make a dance move or something. Oh okay so dot if you've heard this Novak Djokovic withdrew from the French Open as he was heading into his quarterfinal match or trying to get ready for his quarterfinal match it became apparent that he was not going to be able to compete and so this is a real bummer I had just told you about 24 hours ago I was rooting for him I really wanted to see him pursue that 25th grand slam and instead he withdraws from the French Open and actually he not only did he sustain and suffer a knee injury but he's got a torn meniscus in his knee so I don't know if this requires surgery if he's going to have surgery he's going to be out for a little bit probably not the end of the year you wouldn't think that that would take him out through the rest of the grand slam season but they're still Wimbledon in the U.S. Open. I can't believe he finished a five setter on a torn meniscus but that he did and so instead you've got Carlos Ruud moving on to the quarterfinals and here's something that's significant too because Novak has made no finals in any tournament that he's played or entered this year on the tour on and that includes the French Open but he was 0 for 3 in semi-finals before this he is actually losing his world number one ranking Janik Sinner who's also still alive at the French Open is taking over when this tournament is done he will be the new world number one first of all it's uh it's everyone's players dream to become number one in the world um in the other way um seeing Novak retiring and here I think it's for everyone disappointing um so I wish him a speedy recovery I try to not think so much about this because this is a tournament where I used to struggle a lot especially in the last two uh two years so I'm happy to be in the semi-finals I'm gonna enjoy it I will try to play my best tennis that I can um thanks to my team that that they make all this this process possible. So congratulations to Sinner who is still alive for the French Open crown has not won there before as he references that's on Eurosport tennis Carlos Algaraz the young up-and-comer who also really enjoys clay uh he was asked about Novak withdrawing from the French. For me that he he withdraw of the tournament but I mean he talked with his team with the doctor and you know tennis is like that so sometimes you have to to deal with it you know but I think not having Djokovic in the tournament it's uh I'm gonna say frustration for for the fans not having one of the best players in the world in the tournament. I appreciate that he mentioned the fans and the fact that you're missing out on one of the best players in the world.
So Casper Ruud uh with a walkover essentially he moves on to the semi-finals and gets an extra day plus to get make sure his body's ready for the semis uh there's still quarterfinals coming up on Wednesday um and yeah you've got Carlos Algaraz, Yannick Sinner we're looking at potentially brand new winners here so it's kind of well not just brand new winners but uh guys who are able to improve their own standing heading in not just the rankings but heading into Wimbledon and then U.S. Open uh your your results affect your seeds at these other tournaments too and now Novak as I say I'm really hoping this is the case uh he will have to look ahead to Wimbledon and that's early I mean that starts July 1st that's coming up very soon but also the Olympics which as Jay just pointed out uh start in late July so hopefully he won't have to miss out on those and then we'll think about the U.S. Open uh once we get later into the summer but that is a huge bummer though congratulations to Sinner who will take over as world number one. It's after hours with Amy Lawrence the hump show Christian McCaffrey didn't need a raise nor did he need a contract extension but the San Francisco 49ers wanted to make sure that he knows a we love you b we need you c we want to reward you and keep you happy for winning an offensive player of the year award remember last year he had 21 total touchdowns 14 on the ground seven through the air um you know his his his combination of running and receiving is is a one-two punch that makes him the most valuable running back in the NFL he had over 2,000 yards from the line of scrimmage last year and now with a two-year contract extension that's tacked on to the deal that he's already playing under he's with the Niners through 2027 and you know he takes a lot of pounding and so there's certainly going to be some concern over the idea that they're giving him a lot of money through and past the age of 30 but Kyle Shanahan says that is not an issue at all if you know anything about McCaffrey. Christian is one of the more talented people I've ever been in my life but if I didn't speak about that I'd say he's almost the biggest overachiever I've been in my life he's been around in my life in terms of how obsessive he is with every little thing and just you guys have heard us talk about him but that's where he's extremely unique and um I mean if you as you get older with age you lose a step or something that that's not what makes Christian great that's how he is the same player down in and down out and yeah it's great to have all the talent that he does have and he takes care of his body as good as anyone so you don't picture him losing any of that because of a number but if that stuff does happen Christian's always going to be a good football player until he decides not to be and we're not really concerned with that at all with this type of personality.
I really appreciate the players on the team I think you know anytime you sign an extension obviously you're individually really happy but then you also have to think about the other guys on the team who have helped you get there and who are a big part of your individual success so I really you know I'm very thankful that I'm on a team with guys like that with a great staff just an overall great organization takes care of the players and so I've had nothing but an amazing experience in my time here and I'm really fired up that I'm staying. They're giving him a little bit extra money the terms weren't officially disclosed by the Niners but a little bit of extra money and then in addition to that they're also tacking on two more years so this is great job security. I think he's terrific clearly changed the direction and the potential the pop of the Niners offense and I can't help but think also having him in the backfield with Brock Purdy is one big reason why Brock was so successful right away when he took the field because he's professional as Kyle Shannon points out he's an overachiever he does everything with a hundred and ten percent of the energy and the brains he has in his body it's amazing to watch the guy work I mean think about his his height and his stature and the fact that he very often is dragging guys with him who are maybe twice his size just really impressive to see what he can do and you would never say he's limited by his size either because you see the power and the strength and the work that he puts into it so yeah I love to watch him play the Niners you can imagine believe he is a huge key to them at some point breaking through and winning another Super Bowl. What was it last season through a week maybe like 12 or 13 he literally scored a touchdown in every single game? Yeah he's automatic all right coming up two a time Govaloa apparently has lost some weight to the point where his wide receiver thinks he might be on diet pills oh dear and Justin Jefferson doesn't care who's throwing him passes a little bit of QB news as well with Josh Allen and his former receiver Stephon Diggs oh man does this make you miss football it's after hours with Amy Lawrence the hump show so send your questions to either Twix or Facebook last minute to get them in for ask Amy anything which is on the back half of this hour glad you're with us here on the infinity sports network.
You are listening to the after hours podcast. Yeah experience is good I don't know I don't know how much experience is you know beneficially you can ask the Buffalo Bills how how important Super Bowl experience is but I think the biggest thing is just having confidence to play and you know when our guys are playing their best they should have a lot of confidence. day here's the snap Josh gonna keep it himself and run it again inside the five into the end zone touchdown Buffalo Josh Allen nine yard touchdown run the bills respond and then some it's time for QB news on after hours what did the Buffalo Bills ever do to you Chris Knoblauch the head coach of the Edmonton Oilers cites experience as not maybe such a big factor in who wins championships and who doesn't oh dear that's cold that was unnecessary maybe even uncalled for dope it's after hours with Amy Lawrence oh yes QB news in early June because why not and speaking of those Buffalo Bills we all want to hear from Josh Allen even though CJ Stroud doesn't put him in his top five initial rankings of quarterbacks in the NFL Josh has got some new teammates including some new receivers around him so these mandatory OTAs these practices they're important I think in OTAs you have an opportunity here where you have time in the building outside of the building out so making sure that you know after we're done in the facility what are we doing after we golfing are we hanging out at the house are we having dinner together I think breaking bread is such a huge piece of getting to know somebody but I personally believe that those relationships off the field page evidence on the field so we're just trying to get to know each other on a deeper level it is a bit of a revolving door a lot of new faces and new names in the Bills facilities including his receivers because the Bills were kind of up against it with the salary cap and we've heard them explain why they let Stephon Diggs go why they decided that they would trade him to the Houston Texans still though the relationship between Allen and Diggs has been analyzed and talked about a bunch Diggs has nothing but kind words to say even though he's in a Texans uniform I don't know if they sent me to Buffalo with the most kindness you know with the most great intent but uh Oswald ends well you know when I got to Buffalo uh Josh was you know Josh is still my guy you know what I'm saying like people don't really understand what it's like to be out there I'm saying and he really he really embraced me and he kind of had that southern hospitality I'm saying so for me um he embraced me spent a lot of time and I probably wouldn't be right here if it wasn't for him so you know I got I got a lot of love for that boy so y'all I'll give him a hug and a kiss for now says Josh is an important piece of his career and I can imagine that's the case all four of his Pro Bowls coming while he was with the Buffalo Bills and together they connected for nearly 5400 yards and 37 touchdowns and yeah there was a lot made of the final season actually the final year that they were together including last off season and whether or not he was happy with his quarterback and his role in the offense ultimately what the Bill said is they weren't going to be able to pay him what he wanted and so they didn't want to go through another season of having that kind of hang over their heads so Stefan is now part of CJ Stroud's receiver room it's after hours with Amy Lawrence of course with different quarterbacks getting paid like Jared Goff for example you've got the questions now being posed to Trevor Lawrence and Tua Tungova-Loa and guys that will soon be eligible well I guess they're eligible now but would soon be eligible for eligible now but would soon be into the very end of their rookie deals and Trevor Lawrence of course he's paying attention. Yeah obviously I'm aware of what's going on but I try to keep my focus on you know doing my job out here you know I have full belief that that'll take care of itself that's not something that I need to worry about that's why I pay people and hire people to do that for me so that's not my job but you know obviously I know what's going on I'm aware of the situation I think that's important too but yeah I try to keep all my focus and energy I've been the best player I could need to help as well. Jared Goff and then Joe Burrow wait Joe Burrow he's still Joe Burrow's at 55 million dollars right so he's still the highest paid or he's highest average annual value Jared Goff is just below him at 53 million Justin Herbert at 52 and a half million Lamar Jackson at 52 million Jalen Hurts rounding out the top five at 51 million dollars per year where does Trevor Lawrence fit into that whole equation that's a great question it's also funny to see that Patrick Mahomes is tied with Kirk Cousins in eighth spot when it comes to average annual salary 45 million dollars per year man Patrick Mahomes at the bargain basement price of 45 million dollars per year and so we'll see what happens with Trevor Lawrence also Tuuk Tagovailoa was able to go through last season with the durability that he wanted coming off of the year in which he dealt with all the concussions his offensive line did a great job of keeping him from getting hit and so now first of all he's dropping some weight after he bulked up last year but the question is being posed to him as well because he is Mike McDaniel's guy Mike why do I keep saying that he is Mike McDonald's guy wait Mike McDaniel did I get right the first time oh no it's not football season it gets me every time he is Mike's guy and and so they do want him to stick around in that offense he led the NFL in passing yards last year so yeah what about paying Tua I'm not blind to to people that you know are in my position that are getting paid um am I concerned about it I'm not concerned about it but there's a lot of uh discussions you know that we've we've had that um you know we just are trying to move that thing into the right direction where we can both be happy I don't know that it's always hey next quarterback gets the most money uh obviously Jared Goff's deal did not put him at the top of the list Joe Burrows uh is still there even though that came before last season I do think that Trevor Lawrence and Tua are valuable to their franchises and I do believe that their teams are going to want to pay him well pay them 50 million dollars per year seems like a lot for anybody but if you would prefer to keep the guy you have dance with the guy that that brung you as opposed to starting all over again well there you go so yeah Jaguars and Trevor Lawrence their reps have been talking and certainly Tua's have as well now on to more important things Tua slimmed down Mike McDaniel calls him svelte spelt he spelt uh he won't talk about how much weight he's lost though I felt like I'd be better um I feel better quicker on my feet more nimble all of that what do you feel you could add to your game uh at that weight um you know probably extending plays more this off season and then you know during the season training camp all guys what I'm seeing out of tour man like I ain't gonna lie when I see Tua at the pro bowl I was kind of scared dude was he was fat it was chubby I was like hold on now bruh hold on bruh like Ryan Clark said you were kind of thick now he wasn't lying but um seeing him now and where he's come from and how skinny he has gotten what what's that uh stuff with everybody taking oh xympic he had to be taking that bro okay I don't know so so Tyreek Hill believes that his quarterback is on diet pills first of all insults him by calling him fat at the pro bowl and then says now he slimmed out so much he must be taking medication for it he was fat it was chubby oh man alive it's after hours with Amy Lawrence I will get more from Tyreek Hill his reaction to Justin Jefferson's contract extension it's priceless as you can imagine hey in New England not only do they have a new quarterback in town and Drake May of course he may not end up as the starter right now Jacoby Brissett has got a sizable advantage on the Patriots rookie as they head into OTAs but the new this is the new offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt well he likes what he sees with Drake I think of it as a marathon over over a sprint um you know you just don't go out and run a marathon you know you have to train properly for a marathon and it's the same with the quarterback there's a process you know and and we follow that process we trust that process you know you can't just stick a guy out there and expect them to be successful um without the proper training so it is a process and we're making moves in the right direction. Patriots were 4 and 13 last season and now they no longer have Bill Belichick that's not my job they actually have an offense oh I have hiccups have an offensive coordinator in Alex Van Pelt remember they'd kind of gone through some weird iterations where the offensive coordinator wasn't actually an offensive coach so Van Pelt with Jerrod Mayo the new OC and we'll see how quickly they throw the rookie into the fire but right now it's Jacoby Brissett's job that's what the Patriots would like you to believe one more Justin Jefferson got that new contract extension will pay him 110 million dollars fully guaranteed and 35 million dollars per year that's almost quarterback money uh and speaking of that he doesn't care who's throwing him the football now that Kirk Cousins is gone just with last year's uh just with all the things that happen uh all of the quarterback changes that happen uh that really didn't really affect me that much uh it really didn't matter who was going to be able to throw the ball uh I'm always confident in myself and uh confident who's throwing the ball uh to give me those type of opportunities and uh let me just go make a play for the team could it be the other JJ the guy that's actually JJ Jetta's from JJ JJ to JJ how many play by play announcers do you think will try that JJ to JJ it's J to J I think all it's JJ JJ the jet plane you ever heard of that old show huh it was scary oh okay kid show but it was scary yeah little QB news and a little more from those receivers coming up next hour asking me anything is straight ahead but you do not have to ask me about the bills and their four straight Super Bowl losses what a pot shot by Chris Knoblauch of the Edmonton Oilers actually I do like the fact uh that he had a reference from another reference from another sport kind of shows he's paying attention uh maybe he's a Bills fan and it was traumatic for him when they lost four or maybe he's just rubbing salt hmm or maybe oh because there are a lot of Maple Leafs fans who are also Bills fans I bet and so for that reason he's maybe throwing some salt and some shade at Maple Leafs fans now some of you are saying you're not going to cheer for the Oilers even if it means Canada earns the Stanley Cup in Toronto you will not cheer for the Oilers so maybe that's what this is all about especially you can ask the Buffalo Bills how how important Super Bowl experience is do you hear the rumbles in the background of the press room that's really funny uh Stanley Cup final star the comfort of your favorite seat is now your comfy car hours podcast this is after hours with Amy Lawrence time to ask Amy anything sort of I love it when we get new peeps who follow us on either of our social media sites just so they can ask questions that's good stuff this is the longest running feature that we have here on Ask Amy it goes back to when I was hosting on the weekends Friday Saturday Sundays I know some of you remember that you still keep sending questions so we'll keep answering it's after hours with Amy Lawrence and producer Jay clock is running chop chop got to start here you did go over this but I got this question a couple times that I saw today so people might not have heard they want to know what happened to the baby bunnies oh the baby bunnies within 48 hours had been moved by had been moved by mama at least that's my story and I'm sticking to it I came home it was Wednesday morning after work and I checked outside the backyard and I noticed that the hair the fur that was around the opening of the nest was kind of strewn out in the yard and a lot of the tall grass was trampled which by the way it's now been mowed I went out there and checked and the bunnies were gone from the nest there were no traces of bunny parts and so I'm believing that this was not a bird who ate them all or another animal because they were just gone there was no trace of them right I'm pretty sure mama moved them and moved them in a hurry birds wouldn't be other than owls but birds wouldn't be diving down there in the at nighttime anyway like hawks or that kind of thing so I'm just believing they're moved and I've actually been keeping my eyes out hoping that I will see them hopping around as a family in the yard at some point yeah there were many places that she could put them that were safer than where they were out in the yard they're somewhere hiding they'll see them again I hope so all right this comes from David who wants to know how long does it take after you waking up before you're capable of complex thought oh dear I stink at mornings even when the morning and my time of waking up is three o'clock in the afternoon I am not a morning person coffee helps coffee gets me out of bed so that's goal number one I would say it's a good about 30 to 45 minutes before I can really put together a coherent sentence I mostly just ask questions of Bob how was your day how was work you know who'd you talk to blah blah and then I wait until after he's done some talking before I I attempt any of my own he's into it yeah like I said coffee is the key let's do some travel here this comes from Mark wants to know have you ever been or would you ever go if you haven't been on a cruise I have been on a cruise greatest cruise in the history of the world at least I thought so plus it's the only one I've ever been on it was a cruise from Seattle to Alaska and it was amazing we went so I'm trying to describe on the way up as we were going north we were using the outer passage so we were on the outside and meaning you're out in open water you're outside that strip of land that's in south was it southwest Alaska and so we were yeah we were on in open water big swells people were getting sick we were out there in the water for about a day and a half but once we got to Alaska it was phenomenal Juneau was one of the stops and went whitewater rafting in Juneau Ketchikan is the salmon capital of the world the weather it was perfect there's 70 degrees but the best day as much as I love the whitewater rafting was when we went to the Hubbard glacier and it we were within a half mile of this glacier and you could hear like you would hear a an ice cube popping or cracking when you put it into a glass of water you could hear extremely loud thunderous cracks and and then hisses as this ice was kind of it would drop down into into the water and so it would chip and crack and it would drop into the water also they have what they call shooters so you couldn't get any closer than a half mile because there are pieces of ice that break off underneath the underneath the surface of the water and it would drop into the water underneath the surface of the water that will shoot skyward and take a hole a chunk right out of your ship yeah but our our pilot got us within a half mile closest anybody had been we were using the tide we're barely moving when he turned this enormous cruise ship around on a dime mind you there were icebergs and and bits of ice floating everywhere including one with a seal on it which was so cool that is amazing yeah so anyway I did cruise to Alaska outer passage Hubbard glacier entered passage and it was phenomenal also stopped in Victoria British Columbia which the flowers were amazing well that answers Jim Bob's next question of have you ever been to Canada oh yeah of course I've been not only to the province of Ontario but I've also been to Victoria British Columbia Frank wants to know would you ever want to hike Everest if you had the time and the opportunity no too many health issues too dangerous I have zero desire to die on the top of Everest it's a super expensive I'm not sure if you know this it costs a ton of money but also there's a very short season where you can summit in the springtime and even experienced Sherpas now are dying because there are too many people on the mountain and because it's become unstable and there's traffic jams no way I wouldn't I would not a pay money to put my life in peril no the jams are a real problem not to mention the the depletion of your oxygen you could end up having all kinds of altitude sickness and all that so no no thank you this comes from Randy came recently I think after our latest Star Wars conversation a couple segments ago he wants to know what would you say to someone that thinks Chewbacca is Han Solo's pet try telling that to Chewbacca because Wookiees have been known to pull arms off when they get mad remember what Han said about when they lose at games they've been known to pull your arm out of your socket yes I wouldn't if I were you let's do some food we were talking about soda a little earlier in the show Mike wants to know would you ever consider getting a soda stream and making soda yourself oh maybe except that I don't need it I really should be doing without it so probably not I feel like that'd be far too tempting for me it's like having all kinds of creamers in the house for your coffee or having too much ice cream in your freezer that's not a problem oh well it is for me Matt wants to know what's your favorite type of donut I love the Krispy Kreme with the cream in it that's delicious I also love the chocolate glazed chocolate donut from Duncan oh gosh I love pumpkin donuts any type of apple cider donut in the fall we're gonna get those soon oh yeah soon yeah I'm a big fan of donuts and Friday is national donut day we'll see whether or not I I do but I I do indulge but I do know Krispy Kreme is giving away free ones so I might have to I think we have to uh this comes from Billy interesting he wants to know what's your favorite type of cobbler blueberry blueberry or blackberry I love berry cobblers a peach is good too but I really enjoy the berry the most mark asks candy apples yes or no no no not great for my teeth no it's horrible for your teeth yeah um Kim wants to know what's your favorite scented candle fragrance oh lilacs lilacs or okay I'm a pumpkin chill in the fall it's got to be something to do with pumpkin pie I missed this one food Brian wanted to know what's your all-time favorite rice dish rice dish huh uh well on Tuesday evening for dinner the hubs and I had a bed of rice with steamed vegetables and shrimp on top that was really good yeah it was good I like coconut jasmine rice too every now and then not all the time but I do love coconut let's see rich wants to know what was your favorite arcade arcade game to play as a kid burger time and then frogger was another one I also love ms pac-man these are old school as in og as in the 80s are back baby I feel like they're more relevant the 90s yeah 80s okay 80s are back we had a Commodore 64 in my house is the funniest thing yeah I actually feel like there's a few here in the studio left over right now yeah this uh Nicole wants to know are you excited for the Olympics yeah yeah it's something different for the summertime and I do love the summer olympics specifically the swimming and also the the sprinting and the track and field so yeah I'm looking forward to it it'll help break up the the NFL talk my goodness uh well Nicole wants to know uh sorry I just asked that one Luis wants to know which olympic sport are you gonna make sure a point to watch well always swimming I love the swimming I wish I could swim like that I could be an olympic athlete not in basketball would be swimming this comes from Aaron he says I recently started driving uber and listening to sports radio programs nice he says as someone who wasn't very into sports when I was younger how does one choose a team they root for family where they're from I don't want to be called a bandwagon fan yeah well there are going to be some people that try to hurl that insult at you I say use the method that so many people told us they used on our last show which is find an athlete that you really want to watch maybe it's Patrick Mahomes and so you can start cheering for the Chiefs although now you've got all the Swifties to compete with maybe it's Josh Allen for the Bills maybe it's Christian McCaffrey for the Niners maybe it's OBJ with the Dolphins whatever it is getting on the ground level I suggest picking a losing team a team that did not make the playoffs last year or that's just now starting to to find its stride because that way they can't accuse you of picking a winner and just riding coattails is it too late to join the Lions oh I feel like you might have missed that boat the Packers though Jordan Love's only started for one year they've got one playoff win that might be the key yeah all right well and some rapid fire fanny pack or tote bag tote bag I do not wear fanny packs peas or brussel sprouts oh I love peas peas peas peas fried chicken or grilled chicken grilled pottery class or sewing class pottery I actually used to do that with my mom she loved pottery when I was a kid jokes or riddles riddles jacket or
