And as I say, Twitter and Facebook. Great way to connect with us here after hours with Amy Lawrence on CBS Sports Radio. We're pleased to welcome Rhett Bryan, who covers the Titans as part of their game day and radio network capabilities. He's the executive producer.

He's also the host of their pre and post. So we're excited to bring him back to after hours. Well, the Titans have certainly made some noise. Rhett, how would you describe what they've done so far in these first few days of free agency? Well, Amy, I think the first couple of days at the legal tampering period that was reported with the deals with Tony Pollard at running back and Kenneth Murray, the linebacker, you know, there's three or four moves they made there.

Chidobe, a wuxie. And then when the day at three o'clock hits and it was more like four thirty going on five central, I guess. And the news drops about Mason Rudolph as the backup quarterback and Nick Folk is coming back for another year as the kicker. And then they win the Calvin Ridley sweepstakes with an incredible amount of money. Rand Carthon is cooking in the kitchen and he's in the Titans kitchen brewing up something something special. I think there were a lot more moves than even I anticipated, even though we knew they had money to spend for the first time in many years.

And it was a little little surprising to kind of see all the activity on Wednesday afternoon. Well, let's talk about the Calvin Ridley sweepstakes, as you call it, because he's obviously a talented receiver. The Titans didn't pay A.J. Brown a couple of seasons ago. Is it about timing? Is that why they can pay Ridley now?

It absolutely is, Amy. At the time, the night of the draft, a couple of three years ago, when all that went down, they did not have the money to pay A.J. Brown. They were still under pretty heavy contracts with left tackle Taylor Lewan. Obviously, Ryan Tannehill got an extension. And Derrick Henry was under an extension. They just it wasn't fiscally financially.

They weren't able to do it. And so now, you know, the way things happened with the cap, they kind of got out of cap jail with a lot of those expiring contracts. And then the cap went up 30 million bucks.

And so here you are. And so, yeah, they're they're going to be Titans fans and go, well, why did you pay him instead of Calvin Ridley now? And but Calvin Ridley and DeAndre Hopkins and Traelyn Burks and Chigga Conquo and Kyle Phillips. I mean, that's a pretty good sounding wide receiving corps already.

It is certainly timing. We're excited to have Rhett Bryan with us from Nashville, where he's the executive producer and Game Day host for Titans Radio. And they've been busy trying to build up a roster around Will Leviss on the offensive side.

It's after hours here on CBS Sports Radio. Rhett, a lot has been made of the change at running back. Why Tony Pollard as opposed to Derrick Henry? Obviously, since you and I last talked, Mike Vrabel was the head coach and he was relieved of his duties. They hire former Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan to run the show. And whether you're a Titans fan and kind of focused in on this at this level here in Nashville or just league wide, kind of noticing from afar, this offense was going to change. And the biggest part of it is Derrick is a two down running back. He always has been. Now, he has the ability to catch it out of the backfield and make a play. Now, he really worked at it every off season that he was a Titan.

But with the change in philosophy and this is weird to say because going back to the Oilers days in Houston, three yards and a cloud of dust is what it's always been. And so it's going to be more modern running back by committee football like so many in the league are doing. And, you know, I had some friends ask me today, like, why didn't they keep him? And you get a back like Tony Pollard, who is a lot like the skill set of Tajay Spears, the third round pick from Tulane last year.

And I said, well, here's the thing. You got continuity with Derrick Henry. You knew when he came in, there was going to be a large in line blocking tight end in that formation.

It was a tell. It was a give a giveaway to the opponents that you were going to run the ball on this. Well, with the way Tony Pollard can catch out of the backfield and Tajay Spears, there's continuity there. You don't have to do anything differently.

You could just keep moving. You can sub one guy for the other and keep moving to change. The ring is still going to be a big part of the Titans offense.

It's just going to be different in the way that it's executed. Last year, when we saw Will Levis on the field or whether it was Ryan Tannehill, offensive line was a bit of an issue. What have they done to fix that part of the team?

You're putting it very nicely, Amy. Yes, it was more than a bit of an issue. To give you an example, in the nine starts that Will Levis had, not even counting the ones that Ryan Tannehill had, Will Levis was sacked 28 times in those nine starts. In fact, one he didn't even finish because he kept getting so banged up inside the pocket. One of the main things, obviously, they drafted Peter Skowronski with the 11th overall pick last year and had him at left guard.

They had to kind of piecemeal some things together. Taylor DeJuan is retired. He had this exodus at left tackle. They throw some money at Andre Dillard.

That did not work. They needed a stabilizing force. The move that I like the most in anything the Titans have done is what they did that was reported first. That is agreeing to terms with Lloyd Cushinberry, the former Bronco center out of LSU. I went back and looked at the draft analysis that I did with our color analyst on Titans Radio, Coach Dave McGinnis, who obviously was the head coach in the league. We had Lloyd Cushinberry and Cesar Ruiz, the top two centers in that draft class, just pick one. He's a fantastic player, a really good character person, really good at LSU, and a long prospect. He had an 84-inch wingspan. That's big for a center.

Now, I think he had 57 starts. You can see something building here with what Rand Carthon's strategy is. Obviously, you have proven tape and experience, things you can see and evaluate on film. You're going into your best years as a pro, your prime years, because Lloyd Cushinberry is 26, 27 years old, but you need that stabilizing force in the middle of this line. To hear Sean Payton talk about his time there in Denver as head coach, how good he is with pre-snap recognition and just getting the line set, he just excels at it.

I think that was a fantastic move to get this thing going. In fact, what they have done so far, which has meant a lot to your point, is setting up for them the end of April at the draft to do what they want to at number seven overall. They decide to stay there and trade down, but if they stay there and let's say Joe Ault from Notre Dame, one of the top two tackle prospects is there, I think they take that and put him right next to Peter Skowronski and watch them go for a decade.

Then at number 38 in round two, you can go whatever you want. It's a deep wide receiver draft. Do you need to get another quarterback?

You can go best available position, just by what they've set up in these moves that have been reported so far. It's going to be very interesting to see how this next six weeks plays out before we get to the NFL draft. Where did you see growth in Will Leviss during his rookie season? Getting the reps, any of these guys that are coming in as a rookie, getting the reps and more repetitions that you can get, you start to see confidence build.

Now, I would have liked to have seen better protection and a la, that's why we've been talking about the offensive line and all this. But the biggest thing I think was he was trying to force some throws and do some things in those first handfuls of starts because he does have a nice arm at just maybe with a flick of the wrist. He can put it 50 yards down the field, no problem. He can make all the throws. It's honing in on the touch and hitting the targets like he's supposed to and knowing when to give up his body and to try to extend the play without injuring himself or endangering himself further. Just those things that you start to see click and you're talking about a guy that's hungry and I guarantee you is probably already training vigorously to get back, go to his second, go around here and what will be his sophomore year as the starting quarterback.

And they signed Mason Rudolph today. So while that is great as a backup option, Will knows he's the guy and he's going to push it. He just has that kind of competitor. And it doesn't hurt again that he has DeAndre Hopkins that tells him how he wants. And that's the thing I think that I saw growth off the field, which is a really good thing is DeAndre Hopkins being a consummate pro, showing him how to be a pro, showing him how to carry yourself, what your diet, exercise regimen, all those things, taking care of your body, learning how to, and Will, you know, actively bending his ear to get that information and wanting that, eager.

If he just keeps working at what he's doing, he's going to be fine. If I'm Will Leviss, I am psyched after seeing the news on Wednesday, that's for sure. It's After Hours with Amy Lawrence on CBS Sports Radio and we've got Rhett Ryan with us from Nashville. What was your reaction when the Titans decided not to bring back Mike Brable? I was a little bit surprised. I can't, I can't deny it. With everything that had gone on with the slew of injuries the last two or three years, I think there was a cumulative thing over time that controlling owner Amy Adams Strunk was kind of keeping in perspective and then at some point there was a tipping point.

And I don't know if it was a particular loss or a particular, but yeah, you know, that's the thing about Miss Amy as we call her is she's the boss and she wants to win and she wants to win now. Now the problem with that is the Titans are in the middle of a rebuild, they're in the middle of a reset. You know, everything they're doing right now, it's impressive, but it's going to take more than one trip around the sun to get this thing right.

You're going to be doing, talking about some of the same things in 2025. Will they improve in the win column? I think they will.

How much? Who knows? But they have a lot of needs. But yeah, it definitely surprised me that Mike was let go. I didn't know, you know, I thought maybe he would have to make some changes on his staff, but I think she may have had her mind made up in the last month of the season. And when everything was done and the dust settled, she made her choice. She can do that. She's the owner. That's true.

She signs the checks. He'll get another job. I think part of it was his own choosing and the rest of it I think is kind of the way it always goes. There's a mad scrap for the hot young offensive coordinator or defensive coordinator if you're Seattle and those things fill up pretty quickly because they try to get boots on the ground and get things ready for combine and, you know, the draft and all those things and trying to build it and get it, you know, in each of these teams locations, what they want to try to put wins in the win column. What have you learned so far about Brian Callahan? Smart guy. Very likable guy. Certainly has the appeal of being another players type coach. Totally willing to listen to all involved. I mean, he's even told us that he's like, look, I'm a first time head coach. I'm going to lean on the assistance that I've put together on the staff.

And certainly I'll make final decisions, but I will lean on them because there are some things that I have not done in this capacity. And he said it's a pretty long list. I think it helps, though, that he was able to get his dad, Brian Callahan out of out of Cleveland and get him here. I think that's huge, especially when you're talking about the development and the overhaul of the Titans offensive line.

I think that's a huge, huge move. And I was kind of surprised he was able to talk his dad into coming and doing that because at his introductory presser, he said, you know, someone asked him, have you ever thought about bringing your dad along with you? And he said, no, at this time, he said, my dad never hired me for anything. He wanted me to earn it on my own. He said it wasn't a tough love thing. He said, I wanted Brian to earn it on his own and not be, oh, here's the kid who got an extra nudge here and there because his dad's been in the league for so long and was a head coach himself. And so he's earned it. And I think it's a great story that he can, you know, call dad and also Cleveland to be gracious enough to let him out and let him come down here to help his son.

I think it's an awesome story. One more question for you, Rhett. We've heard or seen that the Titans are interested in Justin Simmons, the safety that was released by the Denver Broncos.

What do you know? Well they need another safety. I mean, they shipped off Kevin, they shipped, they shipped off Kevin Bayard, uh, at the trade deadline back last October. And of course he's already been released and has gone, you know, Chicago to play for the bear. So I mean, they need another starting safety, a money hooker. They have, uh, under an extended contract and, you know, drafted him many years ago. Uh, and you hear that name, you hear Eric Armstead, you hear luxurious need, I don't know how much more spending they're going to do.

Cause they've eaten up a good chunk of this, this surplus that they've, uh, worked so hard to get to. We'll see what happens. And Justin Simmons, I mean, you could do worse. I mean, that's, that's a good ball player. No question. Absolutely. But the Tennessee Titans have surely poured some resources and as you point out money, uh, but also some real planning and scouting into what they want moving forward. And so it's exciting to see, especially in a division where you had a rookie quarterback and a rookie head coach, uh, help lead the team, the Texans to the division title, the Jaguars fell off last year. It feels more wide open than maybe what people thought this time last year, where it was considered the Jaguars to lose.

Yeah. And, and as you saw the Jaguars kind of head towards what it was an eventual collapse, and then you can continue to see, as you mentioned, Demi go Ryan's and CJ Stroud do so well in Houston. Um, yeah, I think it's, you're to the point where the AFC South is, is still up for grabs. How much the Titans have to say about that?

I guess time will only tell. I mean, look at Indianapolis. They, all they've done in free agency basically is resigned their own guys, which hate rightfully. So they've got a good team. They've got a good options there. Jacksonville has thrown money at things I didn't really think about. Like, I mean, they, I don't know how they're going to send, there's only one football.

How's how's Trevor Lawrence going to get it to everybody? I mean, they Gabriel Davis, who I liked, you know, as an option in free agency, but they still have Evan Ingram. They still have Christian Kirk. They Joe, I mean, they're loaded. So, you know, in Houston, I mean, they have done their homework. I mean, here, they add to Neil Hunter to go with the defensive rookie of the year, Will Anderson. It just, it gets tougher for the Titans.

There's no question. Can it really only be mid-March? We've got March Madness of a different sort going on with the NFL, and that includes the Titans. Rhett Ryan is the host and the executive producer of Titans Radio on their game day. You can follow him on Twitter at Rhett B. Tennessee and it's good to catch up with you again. Thank you so much, Rhett. Amy, it's always a pleasure to join you and have a great rest of your show and a great rest of your week. Well, thank you. Although we are heading into a Thursday morning very soon, which means the time is dwindling on the work week. That's good because you all are not going to believe what I did on Wednesday afternoon, man. It's After Hours with Amy Lawrence. You can find me on Twitter, ALOL Radio, also on our Facebook page.

No brand new YouTube video yet, but it is coming. In the meantime, we're asking you to tell us what's the most attractive element of this coming Sunday. It's not just any old Sunday. It's a super-sized Sunday with something for everyone. Hmm.

I might, I mean, no one cares about my anniversary but me, but I might go with three-month anniversary. I feel special. It's After Hours on CBS Sports Radio. You are listening to the After Hours Podcast. This is After Hours with Amy Lawrence.

John is listening in Alaska. Hey, Amy. How are you doing tonight? I'm good. Thank you. Wonderful. Who do you think will be the bigger loss to their team on Sunday?

Do you see it being Kam Chancellor or do you see it being Jordy Nelson? Hey, you know what? I just got pulled over, so I'm going to listen on the air. No!

Tell him to turn on the radio and he'll understand that you were talking to, well, you were talking football. I've got no other defense for you. I'm sorry.

Here's Amy Lawrence. Also politically incorrect these days. There's so many old songs and movies and TV shows and various media elements that are not allowed on mainstream radio or TV anymore. Boy, have things changed. It makes being a radio host a little more complicated than it used to be.

Not that that's all bad. It's After Hours with Amy Lawrence on CBS Sports Radio. As we were talking about the Tennessee Titans, looking up at the NFL Network, which is currently on in-studio, and it's Titans and Ravens.

Uh-huh. Obviously an older playoff season, but used to be those Titans. They were pretty darn good. And then a couple of, I guess it was two seasons ago, remember they were leading the division, the AFC South, and they crashed and burned at the end. And then this past year, it was a mess.

And so now they're going to look a whole lot different in 2024. I hope you enjoyed that conversation with Rhett Bryan. As always, our guests are podcasted separately, which means that you can go to our podcast page or just Google After Hours, Amy Lawrence podcast, rather than sending... Why do I have hiccups? They come at the worst possible time.

Why do I try sending you to this page or that page when Google or your various search engines, DuckDuckGo, do people use DuckDuckGo? Seriously, what's with the hiccups? Jay. That did not scare me.

No, it didn't scare me, but I'm going to try some water. Hold on. How's that? Let's see. Well, I don't know yet. I was still drinking the water.

Let's see if that works. I never get hiccups except for when I'm here. It must be something about the breathing patterns.

It doesn't happen every night, but it does happen on a relatively frequent weekly basis. Do we have a lemon nearby? A lemon? Bite on a lemon or taste vinegar? Why would I want to bite on a lemon? Get rid of your hiccup. No, I'm not biting on a lemon.

That's... Gah. And you'll hiccup. Here's what I use lemon for, and this is the only thing I really use lemon for. I guess two things, but they both have to do with cooking. One is when you're thawing shrimp, so shrimp cocktail, and you're thawing the shrimp and you put the lemon in the water or you put the lemon over the shrimp that are laying on the ice and it happens to take away some of that fishy taste. And then I cook my salmon or other fish with lemon. Again, partly to take away fishy taste, but also because it works really well with salmon.

I just made salmon for Bob and I on Wednesday evening and I use lemon pepper as well as lemon juice. Oh, very nice. Really good. Very tasty.

Yeah, it came out really well. It just wasn't big. The piece of salmon, maybe six inches long and really narrow. Did it shrink or did it... Shrink?

Well, you know, if you buy like... I don't cook salmon really ever. Okay, then no, it does not shrink. It's not like a burger that you put together that it gets more compact in the oven. No. So I broiled the salmon.

It was delicious, but I could have eaten both my piece and Bob's piece. They're pretty small and narrow. Anyway, so that's the only time I use lemon. So I'm not using lemon for hiccups. I don't think the scaring thing works, but also I don't remember the last time someone actually was able to scare me when I had hiccups. That might be an urban legend. How about swallow some granulated sugar? Do we have any of that around here?

Oh, I'm sure we do. There's all kinds of packets of things everywhere. Packets of sugar in the kitchen where they're serving the coffee. I can just go get like an array of packets.

We can just try them, see if any of them work. I can't just... No. Have you ever heard that before? Swallow a packet of sugar?

I don't know, just I'm thinking the array of packets. I mean, we're gonna bring mustard and... Whatever we got back there. Okay. Just curious. But you said granulated sugar is what helps with hiccups. I've never heard that before either.

Are you making this up? No, I'm on the Google. So swallow some granulated sugar, bite on a lemon or taste vinegar, hold your breath for a short time. Now that I've tried before. That was usually the... Ice cold water? Sip ice cold water.

Huh. I'd have to go get some ice. Pull your knees up to your chest and lean forward.

Like fetal position, only sitting upright in fetal position? Right now? I don't know. Let's see if I can even do that.

But none of these are proven. Just so. I think the holding your breath actually is one that's probably more effective. Hold on. That sounded like it hurt. That sounds... Well, hiccups aren't your problem anymore. Yeah.

There's the scare part. Well, I got my feet into my chair, but I don't... Let's see. Okay. I got my feet into my chair, so I do what now? Now that you're in that position, lean forward a little bit.

Okay. If I lean forward, I will fall out of my chair. Let's see.

It's one of those chairs with wheels. And so if I... Hold on. Oh, goodness.

All right. Fetal position. Knees up to my chest.

Lean forward. I think that did it. That worked. Okay. Phew. Wowzers. All right. That was complicated. Anyway, don't know why I only get hiccups here.

I never have them at any other point. But as I was saying, I don't know what I was saying. What was I saying? You think that worked? Okay.

We were talking about the Titans, I think. Who even knows? But this is far more important. And I waited until Marco got here because we're pretty excited about this.

And I'm really proud of producer Jay. We've been making calls to get ready for Selection Sunday. And we like to have an array of interviews. We try to mix players and coaches. You know, we try to mix in not just power conference teams, but also a couple of these amazing stories that pop up every year. First time in the NCAA tournament in their school's history. Or first time in 30 years they've won the conference championship.

The one in the one bid leagues. And so we always do this. And it's kind of the luck of the draw.

You never are exactly sure who you're going to end up with. You just do an email blast and hope that you get a few good responses. Well, not only did producer Jay snag a commitment from UConn, so the defending men's champion, we don't know if we'll have a player or we'll have coach Hurley, but we will have a member of UConn joining us once the Selection show is done.

But this is kind of cool. Producer Jay drops it on me. Now, I told him to reach out.

I don't know that I was uber confident that we would get a response considering that this team is in a major spotlight right now. But Jay booked. Go ahead, Jay. I'll let you tell the story.

All right. Lisa Bluder will join us on Sunday night. So the Iowa women's basketball coach, Kaitlyn Clark's coach and obviously someone that she really trusts and has enjoyed working with. Lisa Bluder herself, a former player and is all about Iowa. I just has been great in terms of making sure that women's basketball and the history of women's basketball is not overshadowed in any way that she can possible. She was proud of Kaitlyn and always answers questions whenever Kaitlyn passes another record. But she said, as much as it's great to know that you had as many points as Pete Maravich, really, they considered the Lynette Woodard record for women's basketball to be the big one because of the history.

Even going back to the NAIWA and I forgot the abbreviation. Anyway, she's big in her history and she really represents the sport well, not to mention Iowa and love the relationship with Kaitlyn Clark. So that's really neat.

Cool. Good job, botch. I know my mom's really excited. I said, so I said to her, mom, guess who we have on the show this weekend or guess who Jay just booked for the show. Her first answer was Chris Collinsworth. Mom, it's not football season. She loves Chris Collinsworth.

Huge, huge. In fact, uh, when I spoke to Michelle from the Bengals days or just announcing days, she loves, she never misses Sunday Night Football because of Chris Collinsworth. And I remember when I spoke to Michelle Tafoya, I told her that my mom had a crush on Chris Collinsworth and she's like, yeah, I hear that a lot.

Anyway, so yeah, that's kind of funny. So anyway, former boomer, a size and teammate, at least my mom has a boomer t-shirt. She doesn't have yet an interview with Chris Collinsworth, but she asked me every time, are you going to get an interview with Chris?

Well, mom, it's not as easy as you think. That's actually how I got Michelle Tafoya because I reached out a few, what, two Super Bowls ago to try to get Chris to, because your mom was interested and then there was like, oh, Michelle's available. Right. Which Michelle was awesome. Fantastic. Right. And that was actually her last NFL game.

She made the jump after that. Right. So then my mom guesses, oh, the former coach, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, behind. Well, okay. Right.

Except he's not coaching anymore. So no, not that one. And uh, then I said, would you like me to just tell you Lisa Bluder? Wow. She said, Mike, Amy's got Lisa Bluder. She screamed across the house. Well, actually they're camping. They're on vacation in Baton Rouge or near Baton Rouge. And so there, she wasn't across the house. She was just in the trailer, but she did yell Mike.

It's like something out of a sitcom. Anyway, mom's really excited. I hope you're excited too. I am looking forward to talking to coach Bluder again. Great ambassador.

Not to mention her team is one of the best in the country and they're navigating quite the media firestorm every time they do anything right now. No, that sounds awesome. I will say this when you get Collins worth at some point, when you get the interview, can you do me a favor? Can you ask him about the Mexican restaurant commercial that he did? And if you haven't seen it, Google it.

Um, from his playing days, I want to know, I want to know the story about that. Okay. It's like a local Mexican restaurant. It's hilarious. Does he speak Espanol?

Uh, he tries. I haven't saved on my phone. I love that.

That goes back to his playing days. Why would you have it saved? That was before you were born.

Came up on my algorithm somehow on Tik TOK on Instagram. I was going to say, I don't have to talk. You're well, good.

Cause tick talkers are about to get mad, right? Right. Interesting. It's tremendous.

So why is it so tremendous? Watch it. You'll find it.

Okay. I don't even know the name of the restaurant. I don't know if it still exists.

My guess doesn't and you're right. Totally irrelevant. Best local commercial I think I've ever seen.

Oh, I don't know. I really loved the ones in San Antonio, the AGB commercials that featured the Spurs. So Greg Popovich and Tim Duncan, those were really funny. Uh, Kawhi Leonard. No, not Kawhi. Tony Parker. Those were local grocery store commercials and Tim Duncan did that. I mean that was funny. The local stuff is awesome. It'd be hard to top this one. Difficult to, this might set the bar. I'm looking forward to it. What's the greater attraction this Sunday?

Well now it's the Lisa Bluder conversation, but the NCAA tournament selection shows, Jay, that should say shows because they're both on Sunday. Uh, or is it the fact that you have a, you just have a creative license to be able to eat, drink any kind of green food or beverage that you like. That didn't green food.

Yeah. Green food. You don't like green food. I like vegetables. I don't know.

Just a green food is almost, I gave him a picture of the movie of the fugitive when they die the river green for it. Like it just, I don't know. It's just sounded disgusting. Oh, that's not, that's not what I was doing. I know.

That's what I mean. It just didn't, my mind went to a different place. Asparagus is absolutely my favorite vegetable. Asparagus, peas, Jay loves broccoli though he won't eat it. He just likes to see it in a bag or in the produce section.

What now? No, Jay's a liar. He says that he'll eat broccoli when we get to a certain number of subscribers on a YouTube channel and now I'm done asking for subscribers because he ate one and a half pieces of broccoli.

It goes less every story, every time. It's because you're a liar. He tried to pretend like he ate a ton of broccoli, but he did not fulfill his side of the deal. He ate maybe two nibbles and that was it. See, I knew you weren't a vegetable guy, but I didn't realize it went to that level.

Yeah, I did. I ate so much broccoli. Oh my God.

Marco do not believe him. I took all the broccoli home. He did not eat anything. I actually steamed the broccoli for him, brought it in a Tupperware and he ate maybe two pieces.

Really? You could just grab the one in the freezer, throw it in the microwave, here you go. There's some in the freezer? Well, in the freezer section, you bring it in, throw it in the microwave. I made him some fresh broccoli.

I mean, above and beyond. Throw some cheese at it or something? I mean, well, you shouldn't be for this, but in general, to be able to get some sort of vegetable in your body, maybe, you know, trick yourself a little.

No, he won't do it. Get them in there once in a while. It's After Hours with Amy Lawrence. Sausage and peppers. So much for that. Yep.

Fried peppers that are falling apart on a sausage do not count as vegetables. Here's our latest sports update. No, they don't. They really don't. You are listening to the After Hours podcast. Old guys, that word don't even exist. It's just a new time, a new thinking period in our lives. This is what we want to do. Sometimes, you know, the guards of war, they revive you and say, we have to do more. Now, I wouldn't do it if I didn't prepare for this. I box people to see if I'm able to do this stuff.

This is After Hours with Amy Lawrence. The unmistakable voice of one Mike Tyson, who has signed up for another boxing match. If you could call it that.

Jake Paul, who is trying to establish himself further in the boxing realm, is going to take on 58-year-old Mike Tyson. This is one that will be broadcast or streamed, I should say, live on Netflix. We talked about it last week and asked you what your interest level will be for this. We'll call it spectacle. I think many of you are interested in the entertainment value, not so much the actual competition, which would make sense.

I don't know how much competition it will actually be, but I think therein lies the intrigue, is we don't know what we're going to get. I do not, I will repeat, I do not follow Mike Tyson on Twitter or on any other social media platform, but he is just now getting into his training. When does this match come up in June, June, July? Anyway, seven hours ago, a video, not that long, released by the Tyson camp of him training, sparring, if you will, quote, it's day one, the fun has just begun. It's day one, the fun has just begun.

Oh, and yeah, after he does some sparring, he stands in front of the camera and tells you himself. It's day one, the fun has just begun. That needs to be a drop. It's day one, the fun has just begun.

It's day one, the fun has just begun. Now that I've seen a couple of training videos, yeah, I actually think Jake Paul could be in for a world of hurt because as much as Mike Tyson is older, it's not so much about how hard he hits or used to hit. It's about technique, right? It's about knowing when, where, how, and he's a master at it. It's about getting the most force with one particular blow, right? It's funny because you may think you stand in front of, I don't know, a mirror or one of those boxing training balls. I guess it's a little training bag. It hangs from the ceiling or you actually take a kickboxing class and you practice and you know the various techniques, but this is his skill. It's his life and I'm now worried about Jake Paul after seeing him a tetherball. Isn't it a tetherball? I know that's the game where you whack the ball around the pole.

I don't know if they're called the same thing. Okay, anyway, he's appearing in good shape and he's still flashing the boxing glove. They're moving fast. I haven't watched a boxing match in so long. Actually, I think, not I think, I was into Pacquiao and Mayweather because my sister-in-law's Filipino, she's from the Philippines. My brother's family, they're huge Pacquiao fans. They were into it, so we all purchased it and we watched it until it kind of disintegrated and it really wasn't a boxing match anymore. Anyway, for that reason, I watched that particular bout. I don't have Netflix. Jay says that we can figure out how to watch it together. Watch Party. Is it going to go three rounds?

My popcorn won't even be done by then. His training videos make it seem like he's going to knock them out in one punch. Exactly. It could go three punches. That could be day one has just begun. Remember I asked people or asked Jay really if he would stand in front of Mike Tyson unprotected and take a punch for half million to a million dollars. He said yes, I say no.
