Discovering God's plan for our lives is the first step towards finding our purpose. True repentance involves a spiritual medicine made up of six ingredients: sight of sin, sorrow for sin, confession of sin, shame for sin, hatred for sin, and turning from sin. When we truly repent and turn to Jesus by faith, His Spirit comes and takes up residence within us, giving us soul rest, joy, and peace. The wise man is the obedient man, who experiences the spiritual blessings of God, which are joy, peace, contentment, and soul rest. [... more]

The Great White Throne Judgment awaits those who refuse God's offer of grace and mercy, but for those who repent and turn to God, their sins are wiped out and they are clothed in garments of righteousness. God's formal accusation against the sinful nation of Israel is revealed in Hosea chapter 11, verse 12 to chapter 12, verse 13. The nation is corrupt, feeding on lies and deceit, and trying to play God by making political alliances with pagan nations. Israel's unfaithfulness to Yahweh has led to sin, falsehood, and violence, and God promises judgment on the whole nation. However, this judgment is also a reason to praise and worship God because He is faithful to keep His promises. The nation of Israel is compared to its father Jacob, who was a deceiver, and Hosea calls Israel to learn from Jacob's life and repent. Israel has strayed away from its humble beginnings and forgotten where it came from, and God reminds them to look back at their history and remember that it is by grace they have been saved. The Bible teaches that sin is a fundamental aspect of human nature, and that God's judgment is a consequence of our sinfulness. The Western church has lost sight of the importance of repentance, and instead focuses on man's goodness. This has led to a lack of fear of God, resulting in a breakdown of moral and societal values. The Bible warns that God's judgment will bring destruction, devastation, and death, and that hell is a place of loneliness, exclusion, and destruction. [... more]

God's judgment is coming against those who reject Him and disobey His Word. Obedience to God is essential for experiencing joy and peace. Disobedience leads to God's discipline, but repentance and seeking Him with a humble heart can bring forgiveness and healing. Many churches have become spiritually poor, neglecting the gospel and leading their followers astray. Jesus stands outside the door of these churches, knocking and seeking to come in, but His judgment will be certain and imminent for those who refuse to repent. The choice is ours: to be judged at the cross or at the great white throne judgment. [... more]
