Rebellion against God is the definition of sin, which is a transgression of the law and a rebellion against God's standards. Sin is defiling, ingratitude, incurable, and hated by God, causing evil to overpower us, bringing us under the control of Satan, making us objects of God's wrath, and subjecting us to the miseries of life. The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ, who forgives our sins and gives us the power to say no to sin.
