This radio commercial was made to convince you to stop speeding.
We can't use siren sound effects on the radio, so we'll use other equally jarring sound effects to get your attention. Like telling you that whether you drive a little over the speed limit or a lot, you can crash just the same. You could hurt yourself or worse others. I'm at the scene of the collision. And the damage you cause will be beyond repair. See, we didn't have to use crash or siren sounds after all.
Speeding catches up with you. Brought to you by NHTSA. This is the Rich Eisen Show.
We are number one. The Rich Eisen Show. Deion Sanders spoke at the Big 12 media day.
Live from the Rich Eisen Show studio in Los Angeles. I'm judged on a different scale. I can't win nine games and our GPA suffers. He just knows that if he wins without the GPA, he'll get criticized for it.
I don't think anybody or fans care about grade point average. Earlier on the show, Bears cornerback Jalen Johnson, Fox Sports college football insider Bruce Feldman. Still to come, Pro Football Hall of Famer Steve Young.
And now it's Rich Eisen. That's right, our number three of this Friday show. It's been a fun week with Justin Jefferson being here in person and George Kittle being here in person and Joshua Heinz Allen of Jacksonville being here in person. Lots of news being made. Lots of fun chatter going down this week. If you missed any of it, there's our YouTube channel. Go check that out. There's also our social media feeds.
We have some nice real game going on. Instagram and TikTok and YouTube and Facebook. And we greatly appreciate everybody taking on our show through our podcast. Then of course there's our Roku channel relationship. The show re-airs as soon as it's over on channel 210. There's the Rich Eisen Show collection page.
It's a fancy way of saying Roku has come up with a video on demand service. We greatly appreciate anybody taking us in in any manner in which you take us. This Rich Eisen Show terrestrial radio affiliate Sirius XM, Odyssey and more. You can't miss this is basically what I'm saying. Steve Young is going to join us from the golf course at the American Century Championship that's going on on Peacock and the Golf Channel.
You can check all that out right now on the Roku portal as well played in Lake Tahoe. Apparently it's a beautiful day there. Steve's going to join us before he goes on his round.
Don't miss that. And it's a what's more likely Friday. Chris Brockwood is getting ready to adjudicate all that alongside Mike Del Tufo. TJ Jefferson is here as well.
Phone lines have been lit all day long. We haven't played a win-loss game and I think somebody wants to do it. Uh, Aydan in Arizona. Aydan, you're here on the Rich Eisen Show. What's up? What's up, Rich? Did I get your name right?
Uh, yeah, yeah, yeah. It's Aydan. It's like Aydan, but Aydan.
I got a little bit of a Hispanic twang. Okay, you do you, Aydan. What's going on?
Uh, not much. Just a long time fan, man. It's kind of surreal talking to you right now. You you used to put me to sleep when I used to watch you on SportsCenter with you and Stuart Scott. And this is awesome.
I appreciate, I appreciate you saying that. When, when I got that a lot when we were doing that with Stuart, the 2 a.m. um, SportsCenter Eastern Time. And then, um, you know, sometimes people would watch us rears, um, and things like that.
And people would say, you know, you and Stuart put me to sleep. It took me a while to not be offended by that. Um, you know, where, no offense, like, no, no, no, but I, I totally understand it. Yeah, no, I get it. Uh, totally. Uh, but you, you're awake now and, um, you're on this program and I'm thrilled to have you.
What do you want to do, Aydan? Uh, win lost record with the Philadelphia Eagles. I'm a long time Eagles fan. Long time Eagles fan out there.
And are you from, uh, Philadelphia originally? Uh oh. Oh no. All right. Oh no. Here we are.
This is the moment. Put him back on hold. Put him on hold. Yeah. He's on hold. His phone was crapping out. Yeah.
I could tell he was like, he's in and out. We're losing. Okay. You want to, you want to, you want to see if we can put him, put him back on one more time. You there, brother? Hold on.
He's back. Hang on. Are you there, sir? Yes, sir.
Okay. Give me the music. Give me the music.
Give me the music. Philadelphia's finest Aydan in Arizona. Uh, what happens in Brazil against Green Bay? Oh, we're catching that dub. Home for the Falcons on a Monday night. Dub at the Saints.
Wow. At the Saints. Three and O at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Revenge from last year's playoff season ending Jason Kelce career ending loss.
Why you got to bring that up, Rich? Come on. That's a dub. That's a dub. Four and O out of the buy. Home for the Browns.
Dub. Five and O at the Giants with Saquon. That's, Saquon's going off for like 150, two, three touchdowns. Wow.
Okay. Some extra, an extra cherry on top of that. Six and O start at the Bengals. That's where we're going to have a little sip. I'm going to give Joey B this a little, a little respect. Six and one home for the Jaguars with Doug Peterson back in the house.
I'm actually planning on flying out to that game because we're rocking the Kelly dreams on Sunday night. Dub. Seven and one at the Cowboys. Dub, come on. What do you mean come on?
Come on. Eight and one home for the commanders on a Thursday night. Dub. Nine and one at the Rams.
Dub. Ten and one at the Ravens. Last little slip up. I'm going to give it to Lamar. That defense is very nice.
They took our defensive coordinator at RD, RD back coach, and they got that air game locked tight. Ten and two home for the Panthers. Dub. Eleven and two home for the Steelers. Dub.
Twelve and two at the commanders. Dub. Thirteen and two home for the Cowboys. Oh, that's going to be a nice one because we're going to be in the Kelly greens too.
Dub. Fourteen and two home for the Giants. We're going to have, we might slip up because I think we're going to be resting starters with the onesies. The Giants might take that one. Fourteen and three says Idon and AZ. Yes sir.
A lot of dubs and a lot of dubs and there were a couple of, there are a couple of OPs dubs. We're going one seed to the Super Bowl. I think we're going to face the Texans. I like CJ Stroud. Okay, thank you.
And what happens? Oh, we're we're taking it man. We're CJ Stroud. It's going to be a little tough but our defense is just incredible this year. I love having it. It's going to be awesome. All right, thanks for the call.
Idon in Arizona. Appreciate it. We go way back like a car seat. He says it's Eagles over Texans in the Super Bowl and a little extra information on that first dub against the Giants. Actually, it's the only dub against the Giants because he thinks that they're going to rest their starters and get beat by Tommy DeVito in the final game of the season.
And he says Saquon a buck fifty and two to three touches in his return to MetLife. Hard to think otherwise. Speaking of What's More Likely, it's time for Friday's edition of What's More Likely. Go ahead and hit it. What's more likely?
Never say never but never. Okay, I do like that drop. I don't know what makes me laugh. All right, what do you got over there Christopher? All right, we got a five piece on Friday. Let's do it.
These guys both. How you guys doing? Everybody good?
We're good. What up mate? Mikey, great to see you man. Thank you. It's been so long. Thank you.
I missed you. Congrats to yourself. These guys both won ESPYs last night for NFL awards. Lamar best play. Mahomes is player of the year.
Who's more likely to have more playoff wins this year? Lamar Jackson, Patrick Mahomes. Oh my god, come on Chris.
Let me tell you something. I am not gonna do anything, anything but lean in the direction of the Kansas City Chiefs. How am I gonna sit here and go, oh yeah, this is Lamar's year. Mahomes is not gonna make the playoffs or he's gonna be difficult for him to do anything. There's not gonna be a three-peat.
The target on their back's gonna be so big and the chips on their shoulders that they supposedly have are gonna be so heavy and the burden that they carry is gonna just sink the weight of the good ship Kansas City. I'm not gonna do it. The Raiders were the one seed last year. I won't do it.
Mahomes was QB 12 in fantasy. I know and who had more playoff wins last year? You're saying they're gonna do something that's never been done before. I'm not saying they're gonna three-peat but I'll have more playoff wins than the Baltimore Ravens.
If you're asking me right here on the second Friday of July, I'm not taking that cheese. Congratulations to Patrick and Bernie announced expecting their third children. And almost, almost as worthy of congratulations, Andy Reid cast in a Hallmark movie involving the Kansas City Chiefs. You haven't heard about that, have you? I didn't. There's a Hallmark movie made out of some fandom about the Kansas City Chiefs and Andy Reid, it was announced his cast in it.
So Andy Reid last night, he looked fantastic. Yeah. Well, he's getting ready for his Hallmark channel close-up. So you're going Mahomes there. Yeah. Okay. What else?
All right. More likely quarterback looking for a new deal to finish his career with a different team. Tua or Jordan Love?
Ooh, close. Tua or Dak? This guy. This guy. TJ Jefferson.
This guy. I'll go Dak. I'll go Dak.
Both should be enough. I'll go Dak. Mike McDaniel, I don't think is gonna go anywhere.
I think he's gonna be, he's gonna be that young guy that's gonna be there for a long time. Daniel Hotsey. I think that is the dumbest thing you might've said. McDaniel's Hotsey. McDaniel is not even close to a seat that is hot. Well, it's hot because it's hot in South Florida.
Maybe so. Dak. I'll go Dak. I'll go Dak.
60 million, if he doesn't win it this year. We already identified the spot. Raiders, this week, Raiders. We got some pushback too.
A lot of Seahawk fans are saying we'll take him. Oh. I saw some of that. Oh, that's a good one too. I saw some of that.
I like that. I saw some of that, but I think, you know. So that tells me something, right?
What does it tell you? All this hatred that Dak always getting, Chris, we were discussing. Oh, but people will take him. But you'll all take him, but he sucks.
Explain that to me. He sucks on Dallas. And yet you'll take him. I'll take him in a second.
So make it make sense to me. By the way, if Rogers doesn't stick around with the Jets or has proven that he is less than the Rogers that the Jets hope, I think Jet fans would take Dak Prescott in a heartbeat. I'm just saying. In a heartbeat, they would take Dak Prescott.
Prior to Drake May showing up in your world, you would have taken Dak Prescott. Without question. You know what I'm saying?
So then can someone make it make sense? Prior to Bo Nix showing up in Denver. And if he. Maybe after Bo Nix.
I don't know. I think he's going to be good. I kind of I kind of dig that one. Guys, I'll be very honest.
There are a few fan bases that wouldn't say Dak's fine. The code of rain. I don't believe is going anywhere. So you take to take to a hair. I have to take two of their. Yeah, I just based upon what we know. By the way, fasten your seatbelts for two to get a contract that starts with an annual five and seven zeros after it.
Fascinate. It's happening. How soon? Soon.
I often get in like August. It's coming. All right.
What do you got? Last football one, Mike. And then we're going to switch the music.
OK. Disgruntled wide receiver. You've been you haven't been here a while.
I got to remind you of how we do. Disgruntled wide receiver to have more yards and touchdowns this season. Are you core Adams? Brandon, are you core T Higgins?
I like that one. And why is Devante Adams disgruntled? Well, Rich, I've been watching you on receiver. Not only am I watching receivers, I'm taking notes on each episode just in case you come to me and want to know about it.
And Devante Adams, the four episodes is not. No wonder Rogers is like, we're going to play together again. I got to see this.
OK, I've I've been a little bit too busy, but I will catch up over the weekend. Are you or T Higgins? Hmm. Well, Chris, I like to jump in on Richard, but as we you and I know, I was probably going to sit out the season, which is not happening. A piece of Delta underwear.
These guys, neither of these guys are holding up. Yeah. As a matter of fact, doesn't Higgins already signed his tender? He did. OK, great.
But doesn't mean he's happy about it. Um. Hmm.
Great question. Gosh, I'll go. I'll go. I'll go. I'll go. I am.
If those two are getting pretty better, you're prettier. Joe Burrow on that front. I I think Joe's ready. And why would you take Higgins? Because Higgins has got Jamar Chase and I guess are you guys a ton of others? I know.
And by the way, and McCaffrey gets on with a touchdown. All right. I'll take it. Talk to me. I found a friend.
I found a friend. We really sounded that out. Those two are disgruntled. Can you give me two grumbled receivers? Grunthold? I mean, CD's Grunthold because he's happy where he's at. He's disgruntled.
Get out of here. He might. He's not. Now he's the one that could hold out. Oh, he doesn't ever seem very Grunthold. Now that was the most Grunthold receiver I've ever seen.
He was Gruntlings the second he walked out of the green room. The bag was heavy across sports here. OK, here we go. More likely to be the higher total Team USA men's basketball losses or winning AL East margin when it's all said and done.
What's what's larger? Yeah. Well, Team USA.
Oh, I'll go. I'll go margin of winning the AL East. Did you say Team USA not going to lose?
Or it'll be one. Oh, the Yankees are. I think the Red Sox might catch the Yankees by August 1st. The way things are going right now. It's a three horse race here.
I see you. It's coming down in the last day. Maybe just Team USA lose or not. I was trying to get creative there.
I don't think Team USA loses at all. As a matter of fact, they did what T.J. couldn't do. They won their showcase. Oh, it's so cold. That is so brutal and funny. Got a popcorn maker. Where's the ping pong table?
It's still in the box. Team Canada is a very nice party. They won their showcase. No matter that, I spun the wheel and then, you know, I got to the very end. Something that just came out of left field. I did not see that. I'm proud of that one.
What else? I last one. Wrote this last night at 11 o'clock after the ESPs. I did some research. I responded. Did some research.
What was your research? Let me get to it. This is before Paul Skeens was announced he was going to be the starter. Okay. Okay.
Let me be done. That's more likely to be the higher total. Paul Skeens All-Star Games Strikeouts.
Okay. At least three. Or the Losing Teams Run Scored in the All-Star Game.
Now, before you answer, I looked this up. Since 2008, the Losing Team has only scored higher than three runs one time. I will go Paul Skeens All-Star Games Strikeout total. Does he pitch more than one inning? I sure hope so. No.
Excuse me. Starters usually go two. Starters can go two.
And also, hang on, hang on, hang on. Tuesday's his day to pitch. Because he just pitched Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday. Fifth day is All-Star Tuesday.
All right. So six strikeouts in the last few years. Final scores with three to two. I would be stunned. This one is out of all of the suppositions. This one is the most in the bag. Skeen Strikeouts. Of what's more likely. Skeen Strikeouts over Losing Teams Run Scored. This is not going to be like a 5-4 final or something like that. The highest one to Reese a year was like an 8-6 a few years ago. Good job. They've been low scoring. Chris Brockman, everybody.
That's what's more likely. 8-4-4, 2-0-4 Rich. Number it all. Phone lines are lit. We will take some phone calls and including the Zoom call from the golf course from Hall of Famer Steve Young.
Talk to him about Purdy and Holmes and his golf game and Steve Young next. We all know about the speed of sound, but have you ever thought about the sounds of speeding? If you drive over the speed limit, there are lots of different sounds that you might hear. Drive too fast and you could hear the sound of your vehicle crashing. The sound of ambulances and first responders desperately trying to free you from the wreckage. You could hear the beeps of a heart monitor. You could hear doctors and nurses in an emergency room as you're being treated for your injuries. You could hear the sound of worried family members in the hospital waiting room hoping to hear that you're okay. You could even hear the sound of people crying at a funeral because if you drive over the speed limit, whether by a lot or by a little, you could do damage that's beyond repair.
You could seriously injure yourself or worse, you could hurt and even kill someone else. When you speed, you put everyone on the road in danger. One way or another, speeding catches up with you. Paid for by NHTSA. Let's talk O'Reilly Auto Parts, people.

So just recapping some of the best of the week, George Kittle going into the green room closet because there was no lock on it, and taking out, which I had no idea was in there, how did, did we ever make this pillow? How do we get a pillow with my picture on it? I feel like our old partner, one of them made it for you.
Oh, AT&T? He had like one or two of these laying around, but they were never like out. If we had two, there's only one laying around because he took that home. He took it? Yes, he wanted me to sign it. I signed it, and I signed it to him and his wife, Claire, saying, you know what? I'm now soft and cuddly, I think I wrote on it. Well, you, you, you sent it out via our show, Instagram stories?
Yeah. Well, Claire just regrammed that on our story, calling it the best gift of the week. Thank you, Claire.
I'm glad I've, I can brighten things up. His dogs, Calvin and Hobbes, I think we're going to be happy about it. Well, I said, you know, you know, the dogs will have at it.
Yeah. Calvin and Hobbes are doing unspeakable things to your pillow right now. They're doing the, they're putting the grate in the Pyrenees.
The pillow puts the grate in the Pyrenees. Do the Humpty Hump. Okay, clean up your act.
Steve Young's about to join us. Oh yeah, I'm sorry. This guy over there.
Okay, American Pie. The pillow is brightening up the Kittle Casa, Casa Kittle. Out in the barn. Out in the barn. He just comes out with that pillow.
He was just like, he's like clutching it. Are you a hold a pillow guy while you sleep? Hell yes.
One million percent. Hell yes. Me too. I have a stuffed football, yeah, that I sleep with. Oh, thanks for the image.
Never fumbling, man. Five points of pressure. That's right. Very good. Well done.
Outstanding. Back on the Rich Eisen Show radio network, sitting at the Rich Eisen Show desk, furnished by Grainger with supplies and solutions for every industry. Grainger has the right product for you.
Call clickgrainger.com or just stop by. That was another favorite moment of the week for me. When I did that read and Justin Jefferson is like, my pops works at Grainger. Pops works at Grainger. And then he goes, I don't know, does he work at Grainger?
I'm like, well not for long if he does. That bag has arrived. Right. That bag just stopped by.
Yeah, but his pops, if he's still working at Grainger, it means he's probably close to retirement. Or he just wants to keep doing it. Wants to keep doing it.
For sure. So this is awesome. The American Century Classic, the American, pardon me, Century Championship tournament is going on right now at the beautiful lakefront at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course.
You can catch everything right now going on on Peacock and the Golf Channel, which is available right here on the Roku portal. And the same thing with an individual getting ready to tee off, I think, the pro football hall of famers, Steve Young, back here in the Rich Eisen Show. How are you doing, Steve? Rich, I'm doing great, buddy. Good to see you. You know, normally I'm dazzled by your baby blues, but look at that blue sky behind you, man.
Look at that brother. Yeah, no, that's the lake over there. But yeah, no, this is a, it's a good spot right now. A little hot, but beautiful. Where have I found you? Are you on a, are you on a practice tee?
Where are you? We got Shane Victorino. We got Doug Peterson there, coach of the Jaguars. Yes, I've heard of him.
Del Curtin, put it in with Steph's not here for the Olympics. We got a lot of people here. Yeah. Okay. So do you not hit a lot of balls before you go out there?
I might take them up, warm up and get like ready to go. But then, you know, you asked me to take, I'm going to do it. You know, still says, Rich needs you, right?
So I was like, Hey, Rich calls, I'm here. I appreciate it. I appreciate it.
Let's be honest. If I keep swinging, all I'll do is get sweaty and I won't help. I still suck.
So what's the handicap these days? I'm going to start this celebrity range tour. Cause on the range, bro, I am sweet, sweet on the range. That's the, okay. Very good.
You're the celebrity range tour. I like it. Very good. Okay. So, all right, let me, so who are you playing with today?
Who's in the group? I'm with Doug Peterson and great Jim McMahon, who is dragging his foot around. He still got it. I thought he, he thought he'd lose his foot and he still, he's still doing it. He's going to start a cane, but played every year here for 31 years. I want to say he's never missed 35 years.
And so he's just going to drag his foot around and see if he can finish. So there's a warrior. So when did you meet him for the first time in college, when he was Jim like wearing the Roselle, the Roselle gear and sweat band in college? I was a freshman. He was a junior and his junior year, he was it was his senior year.
Sorry. He was amazing. And, and I learned how to play quarterback from him. People don't realize as crazy as, as he is and as people think he is, as far as quarterbacking, he is the most technically sound drop back, throw the football, read defenses, like as anyone who I ever knew. And so I learned, I learned how to play quarterback from him. I'm really grateful to him.
Oh my gosh. Listen to that group, Tim Brown, Marcus Allen, Jerome Bettis, what a group. Steve, one year, I did it one year. I was paired with Derek Brooks and Jason Taylor. And the three of us, we were, we were so bad. It looked like we were digging for gold and panning it. That's how bad it was. That's how many divots we left on that course. And I think somebody was following and saying, there's no way these people are invited back.
That's the way I felt when the lights go on, when you're not going to golf, it's not that great. Trust me. It's not, you know, I know better.
That's true. So, so I, I, let me dig in a little bit more to that Jim McMahon stuff that, that that's cool. What, what was he like as a senior in college? What was he like, man?
Yep. It was crazy. I looked the craziest things I ever saw was Jim McMahon in Provo, Utah. That's the, you know, no matter where I travel throughout my life, throughout the world, the craziest stuff I ever saw was with, with, with Jim and Provo.
That's just the truth. And Lavelle Edwards, I give him tremendous credit and Jim for figuring out how to, you know, stay around and do well. And, you know, he dominated, look, he had 73 NCA passing records when he left BYU in 73.
So we were, we were, we were on fire. And did, did he ever serve as a sounding board when you were going through whatever you were going through in your early professional career, Steve? You know, I, I, I did call him and, and, you know, I would tell you as a mentor, he was a mentor in my, by how he modeled play. Like I watched him play and how he threw, he taught me how to throw the football by, by watching. It was like Phil Mickelson and his dad. I was lefty.
He's righty. And while I was, when I got to BYU, you know, he still has a quarterback. You'd think I'd know how to throw the football, but I didn't know how to throw it the way you really have to. And so for, for most of it, do you look, if I called him and asked him questions, Jim would be the first guy to tell you what the story is.
But most of the time I was just watching him and then, and then try to. Steve Young here on the Rich Eisen Show, a few minutes left with him before he goes out and, and, and shoots, I guess, what do you say? High?
Because it's stable for, like, is that what you got to say? You got to go shoot high? Plus. Yeah.
I want to be, you want to be plus. Yes. Yes. Absolutely.
It's so confusing. So what, what is your expectation level of Brock Purdy this year? Steve, let's go.
What do you have? Great player. And that's just a fact. And it's how he processes. Everybody now knows that he's, and he's only gonna get better at processing. He's going to be able to, you know, get the ball out quickly. He has to, right.
He said to everyone, I'm not as big, I'm not as fast, I'm not as strong. I can't just wait in the pocket and then sling it. So he's going to process and he's going to get the ball out. And, and then people are going to start to see that. And they're going to start running where he's looking.
Cause he knows he's got to let it go. And he's going to fix this, you know, and change his games as people change his game, as people get more of a, you know, a bead on him as the, but as far as, you know, playing quarterback in the NFL, if you want to be good, you gotta be a great processor. And the dude is elite and that's not going to change. And he's going to be challenged.
And especially if he loses some talent, if Brandon doesn't sign, you know, but they've got so many guys and that's what you need in the NFL is, you know, rich, you need a lot of help at quarterback. When you get a lot of help, you get good, really fast. When you use the elite word, you know, that's when radar screens go up, you know, radars go up. You, you, you just use the elite word for, for, for Brock Perry.
Yes, sir. He is. He's as good, you know, you know, experience processing. A lot of times his experience as well. He's not as experienced as others, but as far as the ability to, you know, take the ball and then process through, find, you know, the truth in the play and get the ball out to it. I mean, it's as good as it gets. So I think that's why he's been able to, but there's, he doesn't go from the last pick in the draft to being one of the better players without having something very special.
And the special part of him is this processing power that he has. And have you seen my homes there yet? Steve, you run into him.
No, I have not. In fact, it's Patrick here. No, he's not here. I think Travis Kelsey's carrying a load for, for the chiefs. Okay. Just so, um, three-peat Steve Young, what are your, what's your two cents on the possibility of a three-peat? Cause that is the storyline going into the NFL. We haven't seen a possibility of it in almost 20 years.
What do you think? I've said for years, Rich, that to be any good in the NFL, you have to have one of these elite quarterbacks that can, uh, you know, again, be great processors, guys that can get the ball out, who can run and throw it all over the field. And they're all in the AFC, Josh Allen, CJ shroud, Lamar Jackson, Joe burrow, Justin Herbert, Patrick Mahomes. You really don't have those guys, the NFC. And so whoever, to me, and the AFC guys are going to beat each other up. Now, Patrick Mahomes beat those guys up in the last few years. It's going to be Joe burrow.
It's going to be Josh Allen. It's going to be that way in the AFC championship. So three Pete's are really about getting through those guys and then getting the NFC and then hoping that they can continue to, to, to beat it down because the NFC, um, they don't have, look at the 49ers. When we play any of those guys, we have beat Lamar Jackson came to town at Christmas day and just smoked us, right? Joe burrow came into town and smoked us.
Uh, Patrick speed is twice. The AFC is where it all happens right now. We got to prove them. We got to prove them wrong. Uh, but the truth of the matter about the chiefs repeating, there's only four teams in the NFC. They got to worry about, and then one or two teams, the NFC.
So you have one in six chances to three P it's pretty good. So then I guess I should ask, cause I know he's there. Have you seen Aaron Rogers? You run into him, Steve, looking, looking good. And so Aaron gets held, stays healthy and can rip it. Then he is that guy. So put him in the mix.
But again, in the AFC, so it just gets, you know, harder for those teams to get to the Superbowl. So what two cents would you have for him before I let you go, Steve? What two cents would you have for Rogers? It doesn't take any brain power to say, stay healthy, right? Like you have to stay, uh, you know, game to game 16, 18, 17 games, you got to stay healthy.
So, okay. Number one, so if he stays healthy, then it's around. Does he get the help that he needs, right? Does he get protected? Are they going to protect him? If he gets protected and he stays healthy, dude, his, he learned in a much more rigorous time. He is going to take advantage of today's game where, you know, the rule changes and the, and the pressure on defenses. Even this year, we can't drag a guy down. Everything's working against defenses for the last 10 years. And he's the guy that grew up in a, in a very sophisticated time where nobody was open.
So if he can get protected, he's going to kill it. Steve, I appreciate the time, man. Uh, go hit him straight. Say hi to Doug Peterson and Jim McMahon for me. Say hi to him for who's on your bag. Who's on your bag. Do you bring a friend on your bag?
I got Lionel Rogers. He's been my buddy on the bag for a long time. He's a good dude.
He's a good coach. And, uh, mostly it's, uh, he's, he's got a, he's got a portable couch. He brings with him so that when you get on a hole that's going bad, he pulls out the couch. I lay down and he like, what therapy? What are you talking about?
A portable couch? Ouch. You goofball.
I'm talking about, you know, like he's a, he's a for the coach. Oh, okay. I got it. All right, Steve.
I think you said calm yourself down. Thanks, Steve. Have a good time, brother. Be well. All right. Harrison Smith wants to say hi.
Okay. Who's that? What's up Harrison Smith? How are you? Look at you dropping names and then dropping the finger right there on the goodbye button. There's Steve young right there on the rich eyes and show he's you got to use one that's not covered with gauze.
Steve. Use the other finger. It'll be easier. That's the same with putting. Look at that. This is bad news for your golf game.
You can't. There you go. Oh, now it's a gloved hand.
We're seeing bees. That's the other problem. I played golf right-handed figured that one out. What are you serious? Yeah.
That's my handicap. I'll see you, buddy. All right. There you go.
Steve young. We'll hang up for you. Hang up for him.
Right here on the rich eyes and show. Wow. That's amazing. He golf right-handed. Huh? Is he being serious about right-handed golfer? Yeah. Wow. Cooper plays tennis right-handed and he writes left-handed, you know.
It's so interesting. Righty lefty hockey. By the way, I love the look on another like 13 year old's face or a 14 year old because if Cooper's playing sometimes up his age class when he can't get to his backhand in time. See, he will just flip the racket from his right hand to his left and hit a left hand.
Just throw it over and rip it left. Cause he's a left hand. He writes left-handed. Yeah.
He's a lefty. Wow. So he'll just take, he'll take his racket, put it in his left hand and hit a forehand. And it'll just, someone go, Whoa. Yeah.
Get that from his mom. Not me. Speaking of tennis, Steve Young's a 13 on the, on the game on the game. That was fun. That was fun. Speaking of tennis earlier today, Carlos Alcaraz advanced to the men's final four sets on Medvedev. He made short work of him in that final set.
So I just want to say this. Don't want to play him on grass grasses out. When I, when I try to get one point off him grasses out, that's not our surface. I'll go hard court. Definitely not grass because that guy can slide like five feet and make a shot. He's awesome. Yeah.
Well, it looks like it's going to be Alcaraz joker in the final. On Sunday for the, for the, uh, do they get a dish or a trophy? Uh, see, I don't know. I thought they got a dish. No, they get like a little, like a jug thing. Like, you know, they get a jug. Do women get a dish? I think the men, the men get a dish, don't they? Oh, there it is. Okay. The men get the women get a dish. It's 2024. What are we doing?
Exactly. I mean, that's very nice, but I, if I won, that looks like something she could, she could use in game of thrones right there. Is that a cool trophy or not? I don't, I don't know if you hang this. How do you put this up in your house?
What do you mean? I'm a shelf. Like a stand. You get a stand and then someone just assumes that's like the, by the way, that's the veggie tray. Serena doesn't have this. I'm pretty sure if you're in Serena's crib, you know, that's not for the veggies. That's a lot of veggies because she's got a lot of plates.
I wonder if anyone has much like the Stanley cup. You think anyone's maybe tried to put a little dip, dip in there and just left it right in the middle. I got the carrots and the broccoli.
Turn it into a Seder plate on a pasta plate for the men getting a trophy and the woman get a dish. Well, because this happened in the, you know, the old school, I think we need to upgrade. Look at that. Speaking of which, did you see Serena taking a shot at Harrison, Butker Harrison in the audience last night? Oh, he was.
Oh, yes. Oh, I did not know that he was there. He was sitting behind Andy Reid and kind of looking down. I don't think they cut to him on the broadcast. They didn't at the joke.
They definitely didn't. But we were watching, Sarah and I were watching him and he just kind of did, oh, come on. Oh, did he? Like, okay. Yeah. Rich, did you see the one where Venus was having a Zoom call with other like, you know, I did not celeb siblings. Like she was talking to Eli, talking to, oh, who else?
Jason Kelsey. Okay. That's funny. It was just kind of funny. Like, is that something that Sarah writes up? Yeah, that was part of the, that part of the, that's funny, too.
That was good. By the way, Serena's won Wimbledon 13 times, including doubles. So she could, she could take a lot of dishes. You could each get one if you sat at the table. Dinner for 12. She has a dinner party and uses all of her Wimbledon plates.
And the center, the 13th goes in the center. Do you understand the type of flex that is? That's a hell of a flex. Flex dropping a bomb on you right there. Seriously.
That is not available in a registry. A dishwasher. You got to wash those by hand.
Give it out as Hanukkah presents to children. That looked like Andre the Giant's belt buckle, though. That thing was. Wow.
Can we get a cooler trophy? Great tennis segment, guys. Way to nail the tennis segment. Four. Oh, let's golf. All right. Joker up 4-3 in the third set. Let's take a break and let's wrap up the show.

Wherever you listen. So what are the McCaffrey's up to? We heard about their wedding recently with George Kittle. This is apparently Olivia Culpo putting on her makeup and Christian McCaffrey doing the play-by-play. What's up, guys?
It's Olivia's fiance, Christian. Get ready with me. As I put my makeup on, I take the stick, I put it under my eyes, then I put it on my nose, then I put it under my nose, on my chin, tan stuff, on my forehead, tan stuff. Take this egg-shaped thing, blot it in under my eyes.
This doesn't change anything in my opinion, but I guess it does. Now it takes this oil and this silly putty, pink silly putty. I put oil on top of that again. Once again, put the egg on my face, really over my eyes, beat my head with this egg multiple times. Don't know what that is, but now I'm putting dots on my face as if, oh my God, how silly is that?
I actually got some on my nose. Oh my God. And now I'm continuing to, what is that? Okay. What do we got going on here?
Some sort of dust, some sort of powder. This is going really fast and I can't keep up. I'm going to beat my face with this egg again though. I understand lipstick. It makes sense. Don't understand tasting the lipstick.
Just feel like you already had it. That's okay. Again, with the top of the nose, I think the nose looks great. Don't think you have to do any more of the nose. We're going to do some more of the nose.
I take this paintbrush, start dabbing my face again, and I'm going to blow on this serum of some sort that it looks like. I was watching this Harry Potter and Susan's like, what are you watching? And I told her who's watching. She's like, send that to me. I want to see what she's doing. Right.
Of course, like an actual tutorial. We're watching it for Christian's commentary. Is that what we're watching it for?
Spray looks nice and refreshing. Fantastic. Well done. Back here on the Rich Eisen Show. Our radio audience is back. Here we are. Good to see you. Wow.
844-204-rich number to dial. Nate in South Carolina. Let's finish up strong, Nate. What's up, Nate?
He's up. Uh-oh. Nate! Uh-oh. Nate!
Literally been hanging on for two hours. Hello? Yeah! He's here.
Bro! Hey, it's Nick. Nick! Nick!
Oh, that's why he wasn't answering. What's up, Nick? I get it. How you been? Oh, good. How about you?
I am good. Oh, Nick, hold on a second. Wait a minute.
Let me make sure I get this right. You're the one who said 20 and 0 for the Dolphins. I did. All right, you're back. I'm back. What are you back about? So, I got to give a shout out to my man, TJ, because a few weeks ago you were doing the best case scenario for all the teams.
And you had said something about the Browns of not one division since 1989. And TJ referenced a song by Jurassic Five, a lyric by my man, Charlie Tuna, which I didn't think anybody else knew that song but me. So, I was really impressed by that. Way to go, TJ. I appreciate you, brother.
I don't even remember what I said, but I appreciate you. Take the win. Take the win. I'll take it.
1989 is a number from the song Radio by Jurassic Five. Okay, good enough. I remember this, yes. Yes.
Go look at Nick. All right, so the other day when I called and, you know, it's a little hot here in South Carolina in the summer. So, the heat might have got to me that day, but afterwards you guys came back to clean up the show talking about how if the 2024 Dolphins go 20-0 and Brockman said that the 72 Dolphins will become irrelevant. And being a Dolphins fan, I can say that that would not be the case because if you're talking about an undefeated team, you know, then of course there's only two teams to do it and it's still the Miami Dolphins franchise. See what I'm saying? I do see what you're saying. I think Chris also said that the 72 Dolphins wouldn't be happy about it because they would become irrelevant.
How could you not be? It's your guys. I agree. There's a reason why a lot of those old players are still going to Dolphins games and hanging around the stadium.
It's because they're Dolphins for life. There you go. All right, Nick. Are we all good? Have we done our housekeeping? It's all good?
Well, yeah, I think so. You guys have a great weekend and, you know, I want to say I love this show and, you know, I appreciate all that you guys do, man. And especially, Rich, when you do the run, Rich, run for St. Jude's, man. It's just amazing. You guys are awesome. Appreciate it.
Thanks so much. I should say Tony Kahn giving $100,000 and the neck brace that we have here that he autographed to St. Jude put us over here $7 million for the life of the run. That's awesome.
Over $700,000 for the year and $7 million for the life of a run. It's just so wild that that is how we are rolling every day. We took a picture with Josh Hines. Alan, we pointed out to him, we took a picture with him. I mean, you're lucky you got that money, Rich. I'm just going to tell you that because Tony's lucky that he's here after what happened to him. Oh, I know that.
You, sir, are definitely not wrong. Jesse in Georgia has a bone to pick. What's up, Jesse? Hey, Rich, how are you doing? What's going on?
What's up? So I wanted to reopen the talk from earlier in the week. What talks are we reopening? What are we sitting around this table and renegotiating? With Dak being better off in Vegas versus Dallas, and I just got to side with TJ on this one, staying in Dallas would be better for his career, especially with how you're believing I don't get how he could be better in Vegas with how you're believing in Harbaugh turning it around and this dynasty with the Chiefs as well.
I hear you. You know, the NFC East is no bed of flowers either. And the reason why we're saying that is if it doesn't work out this year, right, and it's CD and it's the rest of the team that they put together and it somehow just doesn't hit this year and Dak now suddenly is faced with an opportunity to go somewhere else and not have everything laid at his feet and not everything be so white hot of a spotlight, why not do it? I don't know, but obviously being a Dallas Cowboy quarterback for life helps you in life. I get it, but why can't the Raiders actually put together a team that would benefit Dak? Although the guys here in studio are saying that Devante Adams is not very happy as a camper. If you watch receivers in Vegas, mind you, that was last season. That was last season.
I don't know if it's going to get any better this season. No. All right, thanks for the call Jesse in Georgia. Jesse, you're very smart.
That was a conversation we had earlier this week. Two good callers. Let's go to Josh in Los Angeles right here in Los Angeles, California. What's up, Josh? I just wanted to do that. Oh, careful. Josh, you there? Yes.
All right, you're on the air, sir. Okay, yeah, I want to do the one loss record for the Las Vegas Raiders. Oh, you do? Yes. All right. The Raiders.
Now, are you one of those Raider fans that right here in Los Angeles, California, that's going to make life miserable for both the Chargers and the Rams when you're going to show up in their house? Is that what you're saying? Yep, you already know it.
All right. Josh can confirm. And I guess what? It's going to start week one against the Chargers. What happens?
We haven't won since 2020. We're going to get that W. Home for the, oh no, you're not home. You're at the Ravens. You take on both Harbaugh's in their houses to start the year.
What happens? I say that one's a loss. You split with the Harbaugh's. Home for the Panthers. Win. Home for the Browns. Win.
At the Denver Broncos. We keep that streak alive. Win. Four and one. Home for the Steelers.
After last year, win. Five and one. Four game win streak at the Rams with you in the house.
Tell them whose house it really is. Raiders. Five and one. Pardon me, actually six and one. Five game win streak. Home for the Chiefs. Win. Seven and one.
Six game win streak into Cincinnati. We lose that one. All right, so now we're seven and two off the buy at the Dolphins. I say we lose that one again.
Oh, okay. Seven and three. Home for the Broncos. Win.
We're bouncing back. Eight and three at the Chiefs the Friday after Thanksgiving. Win. Nine and three at the Buccaneers. Win.
The autumn wind is a pirate. Ten and three. Home for the Falcons on a Monday night. Win.
Eleven and three. Home for the Jaguars. I say we lose that one. Eleven and four at the Saints. Win.
You've beaten Derek Carr, huh? Twelve and five. Home for the Chargers. We shoot the entire division.
Win. Okay, so that's one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, and four. I was miscounting. All right, John in Los Angeles.
Thanks for the call. It's funny, that's the third Raider fan that we've had play the win-loss game. Darkseid, Don in Vegas, David in Oregon, John in LA.
They all have him beating Jim Harbaugh in Los Angeles to start and then losing to John Harbaugh in Baltimore. Then they each have them go on a win streak. Darkseid, Don a three-game win streak until they lose to the Steelers and at the Rams. David in Oregon had them winning five in a row until they lose to the Chiefs, pardon me, and Josh in LA. Okay, Josh in LA just had them winning six in a row and each and every one of them caught themselves in the middle of the win-loss game and said, oh yeah, we'll lose in Cincinnati before the bye.
Yeah. Nine and eight, Darkseid, Don. Fourteen and three, David in Oregon.
Thirteen and four, Josh in LA. What do you think? I think it's gonna be somewhere in between, maybe. I'm worried about the Raiders this year. I am because, again, it's Gardner Minshew. Is he gonna be the... I'm worried. Everybody thought the two teams that had to come out of this year's draft with a quarterback, a rookie quarterback in the first round, of the teams that had to come out with a rookie quarterback in the first round, the two that did not, the Giants and the Raiders, how will that affect their 2024 season? It's now in the hands of Daniel Jones and the legs and the hands and legs of Gardner Minshew. I'm thinking back to my bottom 10 and I wish I included the Raiders now.
I don't know if you could do that. They have some really talented players, including the very, very prideful Condor on defense. Yeah. And he and Devante Adams call each other twin.
So let's see what happens, right? Luke Getze now in Vegas drawing up the plays for Devante Adams. I heard Luke Getze is a very talented guy that was from a quarterback who said he can't wait to play with Devante Adams again. It's Aaron Rodgers out there in Tahoe. I've got to be honest with you.
He beat Del Tufo back into the national consciousness. I told you. And he has not said a word about what happened with the Jets yet from Tahoe. Haven't heard that yet. So maybe I'm off.
Maybe. I am now off to the weekend. Like the rest of everyone else, thanks for taking in this edition of the Rich Eisen Show. We'll be back to wrap things up on the Roku channel. Rob Lowe will be our guest on Monday's program and so much more. We'll be back to wrap things up on Roku, but everyone else have a fun weekend.
Welcome to Talkville, the Ultimate Smallville Rewatch Podcast. Season four. I'm glad that it's over. I'm glad that it's over. As we know now that season five is supposed to be one of our better seasons. Obviously the tattoo storyline, you know how I feel about that. You hating that storyline brought me a lot of joy because I kept waiting to see how it was going to keep going and then how they would somehow settle it. Binge seasons one through four of Talkville before season five begins, wherever you listen.
