Hi, this is Chris Benjamin, the director for the Salvation Army Soundcast. We wanted to take this opportunity to share some additional messages of encouragement with you from some of our hosts from shows like 1-4's of Life and Heartbeat. We just pray that these are an extra blessing to you.
If they are, please share them with a friend. God bless. Hey everyone, this is Major Marion Platt here in Memphis, Tennessee. Of course, these are busy times for the Salvation Army and for other people. And I just wanted to share some thoughts with those who are heartbeat listeners, those who tune in to us from day to day. You know, you are on our minds and in our prayers.
And I've been thinking a lot about loneliness and what it's like to be a part of that. And one of the most important prayers that I ever pray is acknowledging that the Lord is there with me. Early in my faith walk, I was able to hear a certain verse from Hebrews that says that the Lord will never leave you nor forsake you.
And so, like most people, I'm prone to becoming lonely and feeling alone at times. But the promise of scripture says that he will be with us even to the end of the age. That he'll never leave us and never forsake us. And that's good news for us. And so during this time of seclusion, this time of isolation and quarantine, all of these words we're so familiar with, I want to remind you of the presence of God. He loves you. He'll never leave you and never forsake you. That's good news. God bless you. See you soon. .
