The host discusses the increasing use of profanity in society, particularly among politicians and media personalities, and how it reflects a lack of understanding of the Bible and its teachings. He also addresses the issue of false teachers and the importance of holding onto the traditions of the apostles, rather than man-made traditions.

Is it the 16th? I lost a couple of days. Oh well. You got them back.

That's what it was. All right. Very quickly. Okay. Well, here we got an interesting program tonight. And the title of the message tonight is an interesting one. Those that wallow in profanity.

Those that wallow in profanity. And I'm going to start with a little commentary. But first I got to introduce my co-host. And that is another than killing it with Kenny. Good evening, Pastor.

And let's do it. So here, you know, at first, Kenny, I thought that I was the only one that was cognizant of the sudden increase in the profanity. It was just spewing out, you know, like an open sewer. I couldn't believe, what am I hearing here on the cable, on the Internet. And in the print media too now, on just one cable news broadcast, you had these women, you saw them all gathered there where they were singing. But they were all, they come out, they were speaking.

You had five female and one male that dropped the F-bomb. I mean, these are congressmen, right? And they're doing it in a newscast. And it was an interesting thing.

You know, some of them multiple times, one dingbat, state rep said, I've never done this before, but now I feel I must. And she said, and she had this strange kind of look in her eye, and this strange giggle, and like a little kid, a giggle of laughter, but she shouted, F U Trump. Then she shouted F U Musk. And then she shouted F U Doge. And they all applauded her, they all applauded her.

She was so proud of herself. And then the others all come up, some of them did it more than once, you know, all dropped the F-bomb, okay. And it's like, see, this shows you we're really mad, okay. No, it shows me you're really stupid. I was going to say, it shows your ignorance.

Right. I remember once that I was preaching at the side of my parade. Every year we used to go down and preach at the side of my parade. And one year they had this young guy, he was walking, running up and down the sidewalk, and he was just dropping, he's shouting the F-bomb this, and just all kinds of profanity. And I told him, I said, you know that there's basically three reasons that people do what you're doing right now. He said, there are? I said, yeah.

What are they? I said, well, the first one usually is, means you have a limited vocabulary. Huh? That means you don't know a lot of words. Oh. The second one reason is because you had a very poor bringing up at home, you know, wasn't a good home life. And I said, the third means that you pretty much have a low IQ.

And he said, are you telling me I'm a blankety-blanket idiot? I says, now you're learning. Okay. And so here, and this is what, this is my impression of these Congress kids standing out there shouting and espousing profanity here. Okay.

And so now they're referring to, as you know, that one musk worker as the young guy, big so-and-so, and then now musk hairy so-and-so. Yeah. Yeah, you know, we don't want to get into that.

No, we don't need to. And so, and then you just recently, you had at that sanctuary city meeting, I don't know if you saw that, there in Massachusetts, where they were gonna, they have a sanctuary city now, and it's got all the people that live in the city pretty upset. They don't want the sanctuary, to be a sanctuary city for sodomites and transgenders. I did see that, yes.

And so. The clowns that they had in that, in that, was it a boardroom meeting? Was it a city council meeting?

City council, yeah. The clowns that they had there standing up and speaking, and the complete idiocy that they were spewing was ridiculous. Yeah, you had one woman that had, like, bright pink hair. You had, I mean, just, I mean, but, and then you had some cross-dressers that were supposed to be women, and then they were speaking with men's voices, and, I mean, it was not good. But then, the worst of all, I think was the, you had that one woman in clerical garb, and she introduced herself as a pastor of this church. That was a witch. She was a witch, okay? And so many of these women, they come out today, United Church, the Antichrist, United Methodists, Episcopal, they're witches.

In fact, the national leader, I don't know about today, but a few years back, the Episcopal Church here in America was an actual wicked witch. And so, and, but she came out, and she said that when Jesus returns, that he's probably going to come as a transgender or a sodomite. What? Yeah, yeah.

Have these people ever picked up a Bible, let alone read any of it? Yeah, well, yeah, there you go. Then the screamers went out, and after, after they did that out there, they started singing songs from the Communist Union, these are songs back from the 30s.

In fact, when I was growing up, you know, they were still singing some of those, because the Communists, and they were still having their Communist rallies here. And so, like I said in the beginning, you know, I thought that I was the only one that was noticing the upsurge and the profanity, but then I heard several news media commentators noting the sudden increase. Now, it's not all coming from the left, Kenny. No. You had, I couldn't believe, Greg Rees.

I couldn't believe Greg Rees dropped the F-bomb, okay. You know, now, I used a number of his clips, and a lot of the times, you know, we help these guys out by replaying their clips for them, because we're in a whole different market than they are. Yeah. But I can't do that if they're going to do this, and these guys, they're professing Christians.

They're professing Christians. And then, I remember Steve Bannon got me in all kinds of trouble. I don't know if you remember that, if you were there then, but it was, we played a clip, but after he had finished, in other words, after he was virtually off the air, and that's the only part I didn't listen to it any, in other words, I didn't stay on and listen to it past that time, but off, the mic was still hot, and he's off the air, and he drops the F-bomb, and that played on this radio program. Now, we knocked it off here, but it went out. Boy, that got me in a lot of trouble, okay.

Man. And so, you have that, and then... I always go over these clips with a fine-tooth comb, you know. Well, we do.

We go over them, you know, how many times we listen to them before we make sure now that they're out there. But Joe Rogan, I think he's one of the worst. He's supposed to be, you know, if not, you know, center-right, but I mean, this guy has dropped the F-bomb ten times in one program. Yeah, he will.

It's hard to use any clips from Rogan because of that. Well, here now, you know, God's Word, the Bible speaks to this, and it speaks real clearly to it here. And that's where we're going to pick up tonight. We're going to start here in Exodus, chapter 20, and in verse 7. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. Now, you know what?

People don't really understand that, okay? I remember when I had furniture stores, we had a sign up over the counter, and it said, God's last name is not damn, okay? And there will be no profanity tolerated in this store. And so this guy comes in, and he was a cop, and I think he had been drinking. And he comes in, and he looks up, and he says, what the blankety-blank is that all about? And I said, just what it says. Well, I don't give a, and he said, GD. And I said, you see, the door hit it now. Hit it now, okay? And he got all upset.

Well, what are you talking about? Get out, right out. You know, you don't come in here, and that sign says that you don't take the Lord's name in vain here.

And he hesitated, and I started to walk around the counter, and he got out. But, you know, that, I won't, I don't want to be around anyone who's taking the Lord's name in vain. They don't understand, okay? God, you know, can be long suffering. Now, there are a lot of people that do it, professing Christians, that really don't understand what they're doing, okay?

Let me read that again. Thou shall not take the name of the Lord in vain, the Lord thy God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. How many times have you heard people that are professing Christians say, Jesus Christ, Kenny, what did you do? Okay, right there, that's taking the name in vain, okay?

You know, the biggest one is, you know, G.D., okay? Or even for, oh, for Christ's sake, you know, they don't realize you don't do that. Okay, if you're going to dishonor and disrespect anyone, don't let it be God. No, no.

He's got a, he's got a 100% excellent memory. You might not get nailed right there, but you'll get it, you know, like, let me read that again. Thou shall not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

Okay? So it means exactly what it says. And then so, if you go over to 1 Timothy chapter 4, and in 1 Timothy chapter 4, we read verses 6 through 10. If thou put thy brethren in remembrance of these things, that thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith, and of good doctrine whereunto thou hast attained, but refuse profane and old wives' fables that exercise thyself rather into godliness. For barley exercise profited little, but godliness profited unto all things, having promise of life that now is, and of that which is to come. This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, for therefore we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially those who believe. Now going back to verse 7, but refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise rather unto godliness. What old wives' fables can you think of from the Bible? Oh, I don't know.

Okay, how about this one? If a woman cannot conceive and her womb is barren, it's because she's a wicked woman. Yeah. And because God, God has judged her, God has punished her, right? Yes. Okay, did that apply to Sarah?

That doesn't apply to anyone. Did that apply to Hannah? Did that apply to Elizabeth? No.

No. They weren't wicked, they weren't wicked women, right? They were good women. And plenty of wicked women who have children, too. Yeah, those are, well, yeah, how about Jezebel and, well, oh, I'm trying to think of Diana.

No. Jezebel was a good example. Jezebel and her daughter, they both of them were extremely wicked. Her daughter was, Nathania, was even worse than Jezebel, okay, believe it or not. But they had a lot of kids. And her daughter tried to kill her own grandchildren. And so here, that's profane and old wives' tales. So you had a lot of old wives' tales.

How about this one? There was a common Jewish belief there that if you were wealthy and healthy that you were a good person. Yeah, you were blessed. Yeah. But if you weren't, if you were a poor beggar, it's because you offended God, right? Mm-hmm. That's not exactly what Jesus said, is it? No. And so here, again, and then some of the old tales that they used, they used profanity in, okay, referring to certain people in profane ways.

Then I want to go over to 2 Timothy, Chapter 2. And I'm going to have to wet my whistle. Boy, did we get the snow out there today.

We had to cancel the evening service today. How much did you get? I got out in North Olmsted. I've got, I would say it's probably close to a foot today.

I don't even have that much. I got maybe eight inches out here right now. Yeah, maybe it was closer to eight inches, somewhere around there, but it was quite a bit. It's like I did the driving. It seemed like a half hour later, it didn't look like I did anything. Well, the roads were really bad. I mean, the roads were like solid ice.

Yeah, we were down to about 25 miles an hour on the freeway on my way in. Yeah, and John counted seven cars and one box truck over in a ditch off the road. I saw one snowplow that was flipped over. Boy, that guy was in there, and he was upon his side.

That had to be a real job. State troopers were there to get that guy out of there. But anyhow, so, boy, the news, the weather people really missed that one. They forecast it was going to hit in our area at 2 o'clock. It hit in our area at 9 o'clock. I mean, and it was coming down hot and heavy. So we just took the phone book out, and all the folks that we had that normally come to the evening service, we called them and told them, don't come. Well, it's funny.

They say, like, meteorologists is probably the only job outside of the government that you could be consistently wrong and keep your job. Yeah, yeah, they really missed that one big time. All right, 2 Timothy chapter 2, starting with verse 16. But shun profane and vain babylenes, for they will increase more and more ungodliness, and their word will eat as doth a canker of whom Hymenaeus and Philetus. Do you know what their names meant, Hymenaeus and Philetus?

No. Hymenaeus means the singing man. He got a bit out there with that bunch of double crats out there. And Philetus means the friendly man. And he goes, and their word will eat as doth a canker of whom Hymenaeus and Philetus, who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection has passed already, and overthrow the faith of some.

Nevertheless, the foundations of God stand as sure, having the seal. The Lord knoweth them that are His, and let every one of them that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. Well, do you know what their profane, vain babylenes were?

No. They were telling people the rapture already took place, and you got double-crossed. You Christians got left behind. And so, God let you down. He didn t Jesus, you know. So they re pretty much calling God a liar.

Yeah. Well, they probably thought, just like today, you have a bunch of professing Christians that don t believe there s going to be a rapture. They don t believe that there ll be a rapture at all. I think the Bible s pretty clear on that, okay? But then you have the Preterist out there today, and they believe they re right. And they re professing Christians, and they believe they re right. But here, now, to make those statements, the Apostle Paul calls it vain babylenes, profane and vain babylenes.

And so, here, I want to go over for a minute to actually think about that. That is actually blasphemy, what they said. Yeah. It s blasphemy. Pretty much so. And, boy, there s some heavy-duty penalties for blasphemy, isn t there?

Yeah, you re right there. So, I want to now go over to Romans chapter 3, and in Romans chapter 3, verses 13 through 17. Their throat is an open sepulcher, with their tongues they have used to seat. The poison of asps is under their lips, whose mouth is full of cursings and bitterness. Their feet are swift to shed blood. A destruction and misery are in their ways, and the way of peace have they not known.

Boy, I m going to tell you what we just described something here today, the current events. Let me ask you, did that not describe perfectly the deep state? Absolutely.

I mean, you know, you look at all of these people. You saw Merrick Garland lying under oath before Congress, and he would laugh because he would have to be the one to bring charges against himself. You saw Christopher Wray knowing that he lied under oath, knowing that Garland is not going to allow him to prosecute him because he can flip on him, right?

Yep. You see, people with deadly poison is like Hillary Clinton. That woman is, she has got more blood on her hands than you can shake a stick at. Maybe someone who s got more blood on her hands is Fauci.

Fauci. Or Mary Arkes is another one of these that all ran and bought pardons from Biden and Joe Biden. Add him to that list. He s a wicked, wicked, ungodly, wicked man, okay? And so he goes on to say, Their throat is an open sepulcher with their tongues they have used to seat. The poison of abscess under their lips, whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness. And here, you know, Paul, it s an interesting thing because if you think about what he just said here, their throat is an open sepulcher. He s just quoting from the Psalms, the 140th Psalm, I believe that comes from, if I remember.

And so actually what he s doing, he draws here on a number of the Old Testament metaphors to describe the explicit wickedness of men in their natural state. That s what he s referring to, and that s exactly what we have today, exactly the left-wing news media. By the way, did you see the news media out there crying? Those talking heads are crying, wretched, mad cow and them, saying, We re no longer dominant.

There s now more media on the right than on the left. Well, that s what happens when you continue to lie to people. Yeah. And that one woman, what is her name, Stahl, what was her name? Leslie?

I think Leslie Stahl, I believe she was the one that said, We did it to ourselves. We did this to ourselves, okay? Yeah. They kept lying to us, you know, telling us, Well, you know, especially, you know, when it comes to the COVID thing, when everybody knew better, you know, people are dying left and right, okay? And they kept trying to tell us how good the economy was when people are going to the grocery store and running out of money, right? Yeah, and there s no border crisis and all that other garbage, yeah. Yeah. And so here, so they re finally coming out and saying, Well, we did it to ourselves, you know, we should have told the truth. They didn t tell the truth, did they?

No, not at all. And so here, I want to go now over to James, James chapter 3. And let me see. James chapter 3 verses 1 through 12. Brethren, be not many masters knowing that we shall we receive the greater condemnation. Now, he s talking to Christians. He s talking to Christians. This is James and he s saying, Brethren, be not many masters knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation. What do you think he s saying there?

m not 100 percent sure. He s saying here that the word masters there is the same word we use for teachers. That s what a master s a teacher. And he s telling them that here, make sure if you re teaching God s word, you better make sure that God had raised you up the gift of teaching, given you that gift that you have the gift of teaching. First Corinthians 12, I believe it is, 28. But make sure that you have the gift from God and here you re held to teachers and pastors are held to a much higher standard.

They re held to a much higher standard. And so it s pretty presumptuous for anyone to try to teach God s word unless he has been called and prepared by God to do so in his truth and fullness. He must first believe in his absolute. You have to believe that this is the absolute authority and this is the absolute truth and you ve got to be very diligent. If you re going to be teaching the word of God, you better know what you re teaching and you better study hard the word of God. And so what happens, because see that s what you re held to a much higher standard and if you have appointed yourself and weren t raised up, you re going to be in a lot of trouble.

Yeah, and if you re not teaching it correctly and leading people down the wrong path, yeah, that s going to come back to you probably tenfold. Well, you know, here s what it says again. Be not many masters knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation. That s pretty forward, isn t it?

Yep. He goes on to say, For in many things we offend all. If any man offends not in words, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body. Well, we, you know, like right now, I may be offending somebody by preaching the word of God. Pastor Hal had a situation this morning at our truck stop ministry. He holds a service there in the morning and two witches came in and he approached them to give them gospel tracts and wanted to give them gospel tracts and probably a little Bible. And they yelled and they screamed at him, We re witches!

Yeah, and Jesus Christ never existed. And so Hal really, I mean, he preached to him, Heaven s sweet, hell hot, okay? And the witches meant to try to cause a problem, you know, that s what they do. I know I ve had many, many run-ins with witches where they try to put a curse on me, but he that is in me is greater than he that is in the world out there. But they can tell when you have the Holy Spirit in you.

You ll see a fear in their eyes. And I remember several times where I d be preaching at those bloody abortion mills and they would be trying to cast curses upon me. And I remember that when we went out there to Toledo you had that big whorehouse of death.

It was huge, okay? And they had those tables set up one after the other after the other. They were all at stations. These were all witches that ran that abortion mill. And we had, there were myself and two other guys, we all got in the ministry at the same time. And what happened was they wanted to sign witches. And when I was a young pastor and I had a woman who we got, she was a witch. She worked in a witch covenant, okay? And she, her brother stood out in front of that place and it was a witch covenant and it was a whorehouse too. And he stood out in front of that place and he prayed and prayed and the pimps would get upset and come out and threaten him and this and that. And his sister was so afraid that they were going to hurt him that she left there and she received Christ. He led her to the Lord.

And then she came to tell me that I was a target, that they were going to target me, these young witches. What they do is they send young pretty witches in and, you know, they don't dress like prostitutes. They come into the church dressed like nice Christian ladies, wearing nice dresses and that. But they befriend the pastor's wife. That's the first thing they do. No matter how long it takes, they get as close as they can to the pastor's wife until they're invited over to the house and then they try to destroy them, break up the marriage, destroy the marriage.

And I saw that working with my one friend that they did that and it was really, really sad. But I was warned. But anyhow, he goes on. He says here, Behold, we put bits in horses' mouths and that they may obey us and we turn about their whole body. Behold, also ships which though they be great and are driven of fierce winds, yet are turned about with a very small helm, whethersoever the governor lists us. Even so, the tongue is a little member and boasts his great things.

Behold how great a matter a little fire kindleth. And the tongue is a fire and a word of iniquity so that the tongue among other members that it defiles, the whole body is set at the fire in the course of nature and is set on fire of hell. Every kind of beast and of birds and serpents and things in the sea is tamed and has been tamed of mankind. But the tongue can no man tame. It is an unruly evil full of deadly poison therewith bless we God, even the Father, therewith curse we men that are made after the cementude of God. Out of the same mouth proceed the blessings and curses. My brethren, these things ought not to be. Does a fountain send forth at the same time sweet and bitter? Can a fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries, either a vine or figs?

So can no fountain both yield salt, water, and fresh? And so they're making a clear point there and he's telling you, this is why we preach all the time, to make your salvation sure, to make your salvation sure. There's going to be a whole lot of people when the Rapture of the Church takes place that are in for an extremely rude awakening, a really rude awakening.

And many of them believe they've been taught by false teachers. You have that Word of Faith movement that says you don't even need to repent. You don't need to repent for salvation. And so others are taught that you're saved by going to church. Others are taught you actually get saved by baptism once you're baptized, you know. And that's not what God's Word the Bible teaches. Jesus said, Many will come, but few will enter. Okay? You know, many will come, but few are chosen. And he goes on to say, in those days they'll say, Lord, Lord, in thy name did I not heal the sick and so on. And he says, Get thee behind me, I never knew you.

Okay? They were doing these things for their own reason. In other words, to promote themselves and not in obedience to the Word of God and to God, huh?

And so, why are they going to be in for a rude awakening? In fact, it tells you in Hebrews 13, verse 15, The fruit of the lips should be to praise God, not to curse men. And just think of how many, how many things have happened, arguments, just some words, how many divorces have taken place just over some disrespectful comments. And, you know, the Bible, I've done a lot of marriage counseling over the years, and it's always the same when they're having problems in the marriage. The woman always says, He doesn't love me, you know. The Bible tells you in Ephesians 5, husbands love your wives. And the man always says, She doesn't respect me. She doesn't respect me. And that's, you know, to be disrespected, you know, that can really cause a major problem.

Okay? And what happens when you do that? Well, God commands that the husbands love their wives, you know, more than themselves. And He also commands that the wife be obedient and respect her husband. And when she disrespects her husband, she's disrespecting the Lord, huh?

Because it says, as you... You're going against God, yeah. As you would the Lord, okay. Then, I want to go over to Matthew chapter 15. Matthew chapter 15. I got to do it again.

I got to wet my whistle one more time. Okay. Verses one through. Well, actually, we're going to read one through 14. Then came to Jesus, scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying, Why do the disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? For they wash not their hands when they eat bread. So what do you think that their point was that they were trying to make? That their hands weren't clean and their food wasn't clean? Or do you think the point was that they were breaking the tradition? I think they were more worried about breaking the tradition. You're right. It was.

Okay. And how do we know that? Well, by the way that the Lord Jesus answered them. But He answered and said unto them, Why do you also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition? Now, you see, remember, here the Jews had the written law and then they had the verbal law, which was, you know, the verbal quoted law. And with it you had what they referred to a quibble of words. So they go on to say, For God commanded Satan, Honor thy father and mother, and he that curses father or mother, let him die the death.

Okay. But you say, Whosoever shall say to his father or mother, It is a gift by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me. And honor not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have they made the commandments of God of none effect by your traditions, you hypocrites.

Well did Isaiah prophesize of you, saying, The people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoreth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. So do you know what he s talking about when he says, For God commanded, Honor the father and thy mother, and he curses father or mother, let him die the death. That was whatever the death that was required, you know, by their offense against their parents. Now he s talking about adult children, right? I mean, but here when he says, And honor not father or mother, he shall be free.

Thus have you made the commandment of God of none effect. Okay. Well, let me go back one, but what you say, Whosoever shall say to his father or mother, It is a gift by whatsoever, though mightest be profited by me. Do you know what he s talking about? No, I m not sure.

Okay. What they did is these Pharisees, they dedicated all of their property to the temple. Now, this actually takes place today in some denominations where they do that. They dedicate all their selves. Now, they still have full use and full control of their property.

They just dedicated to the temple or to the denomination or church today. And when they said, Because they were obligated, obligated under the commandments to take care of their elderly parents. You know, their parents raised them and took care of them, fed them, clothed them. Now, their parents, and remember, they didn t have any Social Security back then, like most of the world today doesn t have.

And so they were required to see to the finances and to make sure that their parents had, you know, what they needed, you know, to continue to take care of them. And they were saying, Well, you know, I d like to help you, Mom and Pop, but, you know, I dedicated all my property to the temple. I can t do that. Okay. And so Jesus is saying, You hypocrites. Boy, you hypocrites.

Okay. He s saying, In honor not the father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have you made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition. See, that was the tradition of verbal. That was their verbal law. It wasn t what God had given them.

Okay. And so here the Lord Jesus said, You hypocrites, well did Isaiah prophesize of you saying, The people draweth nigh unto Me with their mouth, and they honor Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. But in vain do they worship Me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

And that s what you have well today. You have a lot of traditions that are contrary to the Word of God. And so what traditions does the Bible demand that we hold onto? The traditions of the apostles.

We re told to hold onto, to keep the traditions of the apostles, not the traditions of men, huh? He goes on to say, And He called the multitude and said unto them, Hear and understand, not that which goeth into the mouth defileth the man, but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defiles the man. Then came his disciples and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended?

Yeah, boy, I guess they were offended after they heard this saying. But he answered and said, Every plant which my heavenly Father hath not planted shall be rooted up. Let them alone, they be blind leaders of the blind, and if the blind lead the blind, they shall fall into the ditch, both shall fall into the ditch. Then Peter answered and said unto him, Declare us this parable. And Jesus said, Are you also yet without understanding? Do you not yet understand that which whatsoever in earth into the mouth goeth into the belly and comes out in drought? But those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defiled the man. You know, there was some years ago, it s been probably, I would say, maybe ten years ago, they made this huge discovery that within the heart they were saying this was, you know, scientists found a brain. Now, this is an interesting thing because, you know, all through scriptures it talks about thoughts that come from your heart. God was way ahead of the game, wasn t He?

Well, He usually is. Yeah. Yeah.

Only by a couple thousand years. Yeah. And so, here now, I want to go over to Mark chapter 14.

This is really something here. In Mark chapter 14, and I ll get there in a minute, starting with verse 66 through 72. And as Peter was beneath in the palace, there cometh one of the maids of the high priest. And when she saw Peter warming himself, she looked upon him and said, Thou also wast from, thou also wast with them Jesus of Nazareth.

But he denied, saying, I know not, neither understand what thou sayest. And he went out into the porch, and the cock crew. And the maid saw him again, and began to say to him that stood by, This is one of them. And he denied it again. And a little after they stood by again to Peter, Surely thou art one of them, for thou art a Galatian, or a Galilean, and thy speech agreeeth thereto. He began to curse. So Peter is beginning to curse. And he began to swear, saying, I know not this, man, of whom you speak. Now, do you know what the Lord had told Peter prior to this? That he would deny him three times before the cock crew.

Yeah. And so here, now the interesting thing, too, was that before that he said to Peter, Peter, When thou art converted, when thou art converted, feed my sheep. When thou art converted. In other words, Peter wasn't saved. He wasn't saved. The second time the cock crew, Peter called to mind the word that Jesus said unto him, Therefore the cock crew, twice, thou shouldst deny me thrice.

And when he thought, thereupon he wept. Now, if we go over to Luke chapter 22, let me jump over to Luke chapter 22, because Luke adds something in there, and this is where I believe is where Peter gets saved. In Luke chapter 22, okay, Then took they him, and led him and brought him into the high priest's house, and Peter fell a little far off. And when they had kindled a fire in the midst of the hall, and were set down together, Peter said among them, But a certain maid beheld him as he set by the fire, and earnestly looked upon him, and said, This man was also with him.

So now they have Jesus. Jesus is standing before Caiaphas there, and Peter, there's a group of people, and Peter is sitting amongst them. And he denied him, saying, Woman, I know him not. Oh, no, let me go back a verse. But a certain maid beheld him as he set by the fire, and earnestly looked upon him, and said, This man was also with him. And so here now, and he denied him, saying, Woman, I know him not. And after a little while, another saw him and said, Thou art also one of them, and Peter said, Man, I am not. So now we have two women and one man so far that has went to Peter and said, Wait a minute, you were with him. And about the space of one hour after another confidently affirmed saying of a truth, this fellow also was with him, for he is a Galilean.

That was a woman. And then Peter said, Well, maybe not, because Peter said, Man, I know not what thou sayest, and immediately while he yet spake the cock crew. Now, here's the point where I believe Jesus gets saved. And the Lord turned and looked upon Peter, and Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he said unto him, Before the cock crows, thou shalt deny me thrice. And Peter went out and wept bitterly. Do you remember what Peter had said to the Lord when he had said to him that you will all betray me, you will all depart? And Peter said, Lord, if I'm the only one, if I'm the only one, I will never betray you. And that's when Jesus said, Peter, before the cock crows thrice or twice, you're going to betray me, deny me three times. And Peter argued with the Lord, said, I would never, this would never, ever happen. And so, here, well, I'm going to tell you, can you imagine Peter standing there? From that point on, Peter became as bold as a lion, okay?

Because when that happened, all of the doubt, all of the doubt that left Peter, Peter repented of his sin, called upon the Lord, Peter got saved. And then, remember what the Lord had commanded, when thou art converted, feed my sheep. And so, I want to jump now over here to the Gospel of John real quickly.

And that message is one that everybody should know. And that is, starting with verse one. What chapter? John chapter three. And there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, the ruler of the Jews. The same came to Jesus by night and said unto him, now remember, he was one of the ones that was not told or invited about the trial and the night that Jesus had. And the same came to Jesus by night and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher from God, come from God, for no man can do these miracles that thou dost except God be with him. And Jesus answered and said unto him, verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Now, it was a common thing for the Jews to answer a question with a question. And Nicodemus said unto him, how can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter into the second time into his mother's womb and be born?

Now, Nicodemus knew that when he was talking about, but he answered the question with a question. And Jesus answered, and said, verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. What do you think that means to be born of water? I'm not sure. Would that be, I don't know, would that be born of God?

No. Born of water is a physical birth. When the water breaks, when the baby is delivered, the water, what they call the water breaks. Yeah, yeah, okay. Okay, so he's referring to, and before you can be born again, you have to be born the first time, huh?

Yeah. And that which is born of the flesh is the flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is the Spirit. Marvell not that I said unto thee, you must be born again. So being born of the Spirit is the second birth.

That's when we do what? That's when we repent of our sins and we call upon the name of the Lord. Whether it goeth, he goes on to say, the wind bloweth where it was, and lestest, and now hearest, and is sound thereof, but canst not tell which to cometh, and whether it goeth. So is every one that is born of the Spirit. Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be? And Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knoweth not these things? Verily, verily, I say unto you, We speak that what we know, and testify that we have seen, and you receive not our witness. I have told you earthly things, and you believe not.

How shall you believe if I tell you of heavenly things? And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that cometh down from heaven, even the Son of Man which is in heaven. And as Moses lifted up the surfeit in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved. The world condemns itself, huh, by the rejection of Messiah.

He gave him a way out. He that believeth in him is not condemned, but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation that light is coming to the world, and men love darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

Well, here, the bottom line is pretty clear. Everybody out there listening here, tonight, if you have not called upon the name of the Lord Jesus, do it tonight. You see, when you hear this, when the preacher is just the messenger, God is speaking to you through his Word, and he's calling you, and if you have not prayed to the Father, asked for forgiveness of your sin, that's the first thing you do. You pray to the Father and ask for forgiveness, and then you ask the Lord Jesus to be the Lord of your life, all of your life, completely and totally, without any reservations.

He's got to be first. If you do that, God will always honor that, okay, and so you will become a new creature, a born-again believer, an heir of the kingdom, and you will be on the road to immortality. You will be... Now, you've got God's Word on this, folks. You've got God's Word on this. We often... Jesus is the resurrection. He is the...

He defeated death in hell. And so, if you haven't done it, do it tonight, because you might not have it tomorrow. All over this globe, tomorrow, by this time, tomorrow, many people that are here now won't be here tomorrow, and very few of them expect to die. We're out of time, so we want to say, like we do always, we want to say good night, we want to say God bless to you all out there, and then we want to say always, always, always, let's do it. Keep fighting the fight, fight, fight, fight. The preceding program is sponsored by What's Right, What's Left Ministries, and is responsible for its content.
