The Justice Department, Antitrust Division, and the Federal Trade Commission said. that they are closely monitoring petroleum markets and gas prices. They also said they will take appropriate measures to stop illegal conduct That contributes to high prices at the pump. They went a step further and pulled in the States in. The two agencies sent a letter to the state attorney generals encouraging them to open their own.
Investigations are bringing Enforcement actions understate antitrust and consumer protection. And so We know that there's a you know, that's just seems like that just happens to be the natural tendency there If you can get away with it, and uh it's very un-American to do that. you know, I I you know, I appreciate, you know, I know that the the gas stations don't make a lot of money on gas. They usually use those to bring other people in. to their little that's they make most of their money in their little convenience stores that they have nowadays.

that you may know that you have eternal life. And that you may believe on the name of the Son of God.
Now, What is What do you think that means to believe on the name of the Son of God?
Okay. Uh You want to talk about Yeah, because he talks about here uh over and First John chapter five. When it comes to the assurance of salvation, That this is he that came by water and by blood, even Jesus Christ, not by water only, but by water and blood. and it is the spirit that beareth witness against the Spirit, are that bears witness because the Spirit is truth. And so here, what do you think that means by The water and the blood, the coming of the Christ by water.
That refers to his baptism. And Here he testifies through his immersion into death. And emergence to life. It is coming death. And his blood, well We know that We're redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, right?
And so He says, For there are three that bear record in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost. And these three are one.
So we call that the Trinity, huh? No. When we tell you what I just read to you. When he said these things these things That I have written unto you, that believe on the name of the Son of God, that you may know, that you may know.
So these things that he's written to about one Uh Okay. The fact that Well, in all the scripture The Bible tells us that We can know that we're saved if But there's gotta be evidence. There's evidence of salvation. Right? If you Get up on a cold wintery morning.
and the snow has freshly fallen. And you look outside and you see deer tracks in the snow, You know that there's been a deer there, right? Yeah. Well, that's evidence. That's evidence.
Okay. To know that you're saved If you're saved you have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. And if you have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in you, okay. You're going to want to serve God, aren't you? Yeah.
And so If you if you have this this burning, because it should be like a burning in you. to serve the Lord and if Uh And then If you're saved, that'll be there. If it's not there, If it's not there. If you just say, Well, I was I you know, I I said the sinner's prayer I was baptized, I attend church. And then you know, two hours on Sunday morning and Well, the kind of rest of the week I'm just, you know, do the normal things.
But there's no No desire to serve God there. Then there's faith without works is what?
Okay. Dead being alone. Faith without works is dead being alone.
So D you'll know if you're saved. By your desire to serve God. And if that desire is not there, than Peter and Paul. have a very clear warning for you. And what that warning is, is to make your salvation sure, folks.
To make your salvation sure. My friend, I'm asking you.
Now, this is a little gospel track, and it's a good one: God's Simple Plan of Salvation. I'm asking you the most important question in your life. Your joy and your sorrow For all eternity depends upon your answer. The question is, are you saved? It is not a question of how good you are.
Not if you are a church member. But are you saved? Are you sure you will go to heaven when you die? God says in order to go to heaven you must be born again. Folks, I've had people tell me I'm a Christian, but I'm not born again Christian.
If you're not a born-again Christian, you're not a Christian. The Bible, God gives us the plan of How to be born again, which means how to be saved. His plan is simple. You can be saved today, how? First, my friend, you must realize that you're a sinner.
For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, Romans 3.23 Because you are a sinner, you are condemned to death for wages of sin. is death Romans 6.23 That includes eternal separation from God in hell. It's a point Unto men was to die, and after this the judgment. God loved you so much he gave his only begotten Son, Jesus, to bear your sin and die in your place. He made He hath made him That's the Lord Jesus, who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might be made the righteousness of God, In him.
Now, I know a lot of you folks out there. You've heard this over and over, and I've been I've been preaching this for over half a century. But Again You know, it's Yeah. Dying is not a tragedy. It's the last act of living is to die.
And again, like I always tell you, if you're listening to me tonight, that means you're still alive. And you say, Pastor, do you have to do that every single night? I get tired of hearing you.
Well, you got to understand something, you folks out there. We have new people listening to us every night. There are new people coming out every night. And they haven't heard us. This may be the very night.
that someone's going to realize That they That they could easily run out of tomorrow's tonight. And that's going to happen. That will happen. That will happen. By this time tomorrow By this time to morrows we're out and say Millions of people that are here today in this world won't be there.
There'll be a lot of new people. But the vast majority of people would have died folks in their sin. Unrepentant Lost. And probably 99% of them had no plans of dying at all. Is that your call?
This is why we continuously Tell you. That's why we continuously go out and we witness. This is the night, this is the appointed night, this is the acceptable night. For you to do this. Pray to the Father.
Remember Jesus prays for those that the Father gave him. Pray to the Father. Ask for forgiveness of your sins. And then ask the Lord Jesus to be the Lord of your life, all of your life. Completely and totally, without any reservations, folks.
You got to completely surrender to him. And if you'll do that, they will honor your commitment. Your commitment. He just, you know, the offer is there for you. Take advantage of the offer.
And you will become a new creature, a born-again believer. Filled with the Holy Spirit. Do it tonight. Don't run out of tomorrow's. We're out of time for tonight, so as we always say.
