Good evening, and welcome to another edition of What's Right, What's Left on this 22nd day of February 2026. Tonight, my distinguished co-host is none other than Josh Booth. Hey, Josh. Hello, Pastor. Where did you I just heard from my brother.

He runs an orphanage there. in Mexico. And uh He's telling me they've got a lot of excitement. The our government, the US go is telling people. Americans that they should leave Mexico.

and what happened and what you just did not hear on that news report just a minute ago was that It was our special forces that was working with the Mexican government, they're the ones that found El munch el m mucho Oh And where he was located, and that and they gave that information to the Mexican army that killed him. And Trump has been talking with the leaders of Mexico, with the President. And it told them unless they worked with us and with our military and our CIA. then he was going to do it on his own. And that means that He would send our military in to take out the drug cartels, and that's why they're cooperating right now.

So they should know that. Also, I want to uh first apologize for Friday night. We were taken down all across this country. We were taken down on Friday night. I got calls from everyone saying how As soon as our radio program came on the air, just as soon as we came on, It started the static and Uh The minute we went off the air stopped.

And so I'm going to get to the bottom and find out what's causing this. I'm not going to p pay for Friday night. I know I'm. Um You know, because it's up to Salem to make sure that That doesn't happen. But uh boy, I'm gonna tell you, Josh.

They pulled that during pledge week, and Um We we really can't afford to lose any pledges. We really couldn't afford that. And so folks out there listening to us tonight if you were planning on helping us Now's the time to do it. Uh those of you we sent out all those newsletters. uh because they really hit us hard On Friday the entire programme we we m we missed a lot.

And so We could sure use your help. Anyhow, The title of the message tonight, Josh, is Remember Now the Creator in the Days. of thy youth and We're going to get to that part of the message, but we're going to start off tonight. In Deuteronomy chapter seventeen, verses fourteen through twenty.

So you ready to do it, Josh? I believe I am.

Alright, well let's start here. When thou art come into the land, which the Lord thy God giveth thee. shall possess it, and shall dwelt therein. and shall say, I will set thee a king over me like is all the nations that are about me.

Now, Here's the very interesting thing about this God has given this prophecy three hundred years Before he actually carries it out, in other words, you know, you know, with us, you know, Time is very limited. With us time is very precious. It kind of controls us, but with God, there is no such thing. He owns it. And so Here is when this prophecy is first made here.

Three hundred years later, Over in First Samuel chapter eight. Verse four And then all the elders of Israel gathered unto themselves together And they came to Samuel and to Ramah. and said unto him, Behold, thou art old, and thy sons walk not in thy ways.

Now make us a king, to judge us like the nations. And uh but this thing displeased Samuel when they said, Give us a king to judge us. And Samuel prayed unto the Lord.

Well, Here God had had prophesies that, given them. Three hundred years to notice what was going to happen. In verse fifteen, it says, And thou shalt in any way set him. a king over thee, whom the LORD thy God shall choose, one from among the brethren, shalt thou set king over thee. that thou mayest not set a stranger over thee which is not thy brother.

What do you think that message Uh to us. in America would be in that verse right there. Um So Talking about Um that not necessarily everyone that we know should we should trust.

Well, when we voted for politicians, when they voted for Obama, who was a Muslim. Was that, would you say, in violation of what God says here? Um You know, we as a nation, when we vote for we're supposed to vote for Christians. uh over pagans, aren't we? We are.

He goes on to say. He shall not multiply horses. to himself. nor cause the people to return to Egypt. To this end He should multiply horses, forasmuch as the LORD hath said unto you, You shall henceforth return no more that way.

So what do you think he meant when he says about returning to Egypt? Um Would that be going back to the homeland for the Jewish people? Um, returning to the paganism to w what that they picked up. in Egypt. Remember he brought him out of Egypt.

and even to this very day Uh It's referred to uh paganism a lot is going the way of Egypt. And so he's telling them not to return to the ways. Remember what happened when. He had taken em out. It wasn't very long before they started complaining, saying you know, in Egypt we had leeks and we had onions and we had this and that and uh When God had when they were wandering in the wilderness, But when he said to himself that they should not multiplied to themselves horses, So what do you think that they that was all about?

Probably Don't try to continue in the ways of the paganism of trying to uh I my my thought would be going towards uh Um just being with animals r and not And not multiplying within your own right, within your own. Species and kind.

Well, the horses were were a sign of the military. Whoever had the most horses had the best military. Best Army, okay. And so Here Uh he had told them of that you don't need if you obey me If you obey me, you don't need an army. You don't want to worry about it.

Uh I I'll take care of that. that you won't have to worry about any of your enemies conquering you. All you have to do is obey me. And uh, you know, Believe me, I don't have a problem. defeating these armies.

Right. And so Here, you know. Pharaoh said his army After Israel How'd that inform? Uh it it it did not end w well at all. No, it didn't end too well.

Yeah. Then he goes on to say Neither shall he multiply wives to himself. that his heart turn not away, neither shall he greatly multiply himself to silver and gold. What do you think? The reason were that he was not to multiply well, there there's there's a host of reasons here.

multiply wives to himself.

Well, most men can should only be able to handle one wife.

Well That's true, but the reason that they would do that, let's just say I was a king and you were a king. And it was a common practice that I would look And I would take one of your uh daughters and marry her, and this way we would become relatives in other words, so our kingdoms would be united. and the idea was to be unite with as many kingdoms as you could. This is what Solomon did.

Solomon For a guy who was the wisest man ever, and Well, I'm gonna tell you he did some dumb things. Um But God It was God's imputed righteousness That uh and God's mercy that saved Solomon. And so that was one of the reasons right there is because they took what women for political reasons. And Uh The other thing, can you imagine this? Because these women that they would take for wives.

would be younger women. And Solomon had between his concubines and his wives. He had a thousand. That would mean That f at any one week during the month, Two hundred and fifty of them would be having their period. And do you know how women can get when that's happening?

Mm-hmm. How would you like to be go have two hundred and fifty of 'em going through that? That would be a little tough, wouldn't it? A little bit. Yeah.

And so he's telling them that And then he says And and he show Neither shall he greatly multiply to himself silver and gold.

Now why do you think he would tell em that not to multiply to themselves silver and gold? Probably because uh Money is the root of all evil, and that just going for silver and gold, then it's going to come up empty.

Well How did they obtain the silver and gold? They obtaineth through war and they attained it through taxes. Remember? When they demanded a king And God says, all right, we'll give them a king. They want a king, we'll give them a king, right?

And here's what that king's going to do. He's going to. draft their men for his armies. He's gonna draft their women to work in his kitchens, okay? Then he's gonna tax them.

He's got to tax their income.

Now they weren't allowed to tax property and land. But even though They weren't allowed to do it. I would imagine some probably did. Property land tax is not a law lawful tax at all. But So he obtained it.

The kings got rich off the backs of the p the people. The ones that usually could afford it the least, huh? Yeah. And it w It shall be when he sitteth upon the throne of his kingdom, that that he should write A copy of the law in the book. out of which is before the priests and the Levites now, He was talking about the laws of Moses, wasn't he?

Yeah. He was referring to the five five first five books in the Bible, huh? And so What happened was the king was supposed to take this and copy that word for word himself. And then Read it every single day, and the priests and Levites had to do the same thing to become a a priest and Levite. Let me ask you this.

If I were a king If I were a king. I would make it mandatory That every single person, politician, That was elected to office would have to read. Certain portions of the Bible every day. Do you think that'd be good? Absolutely.

Yeah, I do too. I think you know I do it and it it works for me, right? And so, yeah. Uh that would be Here we're talking about the wisdom of God. He goes on to say And it shall be with him that he shall read therein all the days of his life.

that he may learn to fear the Lord his God. They keep all the words of this law and these statutes to do them. that his heart not be lifted up above his brethren, And then he turn not aside from commandment to the right hand or to the left. to the end that he may prolong his days in the kingdom. he and his children in the midst of Israel.

No. I'm a tad bit older than you and As far as Presidents, I go that back to Harry Truman. Harry Truman uh I can remember all the way back to Harry Truman. And um In fact I I remember what Truman said that any Time a politician. Gets rich in office, you can bet he's a crook.

Yeah. And boy. Yeah. Now in that time And all of those presidents, Truman and Eisenhower, and Kennedy and Nixon. Johnson and Um Carter Reagan Bush.

Uh Clinton, Bush again, Obama. All of them There's only one That left office poorer than when he went into office, and only one of them that took no salary while he was in office. Who do you think that was?

Well, I know one was Trump in the first. in the first four years. Yeah, he was the only one. He was the only one that left office poorer than when he entered office. And I say it was still not not that poor.

Well, no, he's not. He never took a salary, though. Right. But Uh but you can see that all of the others, you know, left many, many, many, many times richer than when they entered into office, especially Obama. And so Here I want to uh jump over to to uh First Kings chapter three.

First Kings chapter three. Uh Starting with verse three. And Solomon loved The Lord walking in the statutes of David his father, Only he sacrificed and burnt incense in high places.

Okay. He wasn't supposed to do that. to sacrificing Ah, burn incense in high places that was a no no. But he didn't have a place to to to burn him, and that's why he did that. And the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there, for he who He was the great high place of a thousand burnt offerings did Solomon offer.

upon the altar. in Gibeon.

Now the LORD answered to Solomon in a dream by night, The Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night, and God said. Ask and I shall give it to thee. And Solomon said, Thou hast shewed unto my servant David my father great mercy, According as he walked before thee, he in truth and in righteousness an uprightness of heart, with thee, and thou hast kept for him the great kindness that thou has given him a son to sit on the throne As it is this day. Here Uh You know, God looked about. David, David had a heart towards the Lord.

You know, but David, you know, he He had a A really, really, really dysfunctional family. And You had His one son trying to kill him? You had The other son raped his daughter, And that first son killed the son that raped the daughter. And then with Helissophil who was David's right-hand man, he was like his vice-president. He joined in Without Salem, To kill A David, okay.

Then David goes ahead. He takes Uri's wife, Bathsheba, And Sleeps with her. And has your eye killed? And then Uh Out of that We have Solomon Bourne. Actually he wasn't he was 'Cause saved out of wedlock.

And so, would you would you say that that was a bit of a dysfunctional family? Just slightly. Yeah. But it was God's grace And God's Mercy upon both David and Solomon, because Solomon, for being the one of the wisest men ever, Well, he made some big mistakes, but He goes on to say Yeah. And now, O Lord my God, Thou hast made thy servant king instead of David My father, I am but a little child.

I know not how to go out or come in.

So Why do you think he would say that when he said I'm but a little child? He was nineteen years old when he became king.

Okay. Let me ask you a question. Um Here If you're nineteen, right, if you're nineteen years old. and you become king. And here You know, they had a powerful army and all that.

I'm your rival king, right? And I'm much older. Do you think That I'm just one of your rival kings. Do you think that I might get the idea, hey, This kid's only nineteen years old and I can probably really do a number on this fellow. Do you think that might have occurred to me?

Probably.

Okay, yeah.

So Solomon He knew that, right? Look, he saw what would happen with his father. And then you had Eternal. which was was worse. You had the deep state type of thing.

Uh the Helisophils So he he who who thought, well, you know, we can really manipulate this kid.

So he had to deal with that too. And A a kid of nineteen really doesn't have that much experience, does he? Not at all.

Okay. He goes on to say And thy servant, it is the midst of thy people which thou hast chosen, a great people. They cannot be numbered nor Counted for multitude. Um He wasn't even capable at that time Taking Uh A survey of the people, how many people they had.

Okay. And so here He goes on give therefore thy servant, an understanding heart to judge thy people, and I may discern between good and bad For who is able to judge this day so great a people? And Do you know, it was an interesting thing. Because if you take a look, we we did uh I did a message a few weeks back, On the land in the promised land, the land that it actually covered. I mean, in that land covered, it goes some into Egypt, some into Syria.

Uh Actually, a little bit of Saudi Arabia, all of the Golan Heights, all of that area there. It was quite a a big chunk of of of property. That the promise that God had promise them. And in all of history for a very short time Did Israel actually control all of that land? And that was when Solomon was king.

He's actually had control of that land before a short period. And so he goes on to say. Here And the speech pleased the LORD, that Solomon had asked this thing, And God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself, A long life. Neither hast asked riches for thyself nor has asked The life of thine enemies, but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern and judgment Why do you think that he might have said that you haven't asked for the life of your enemies? Um Did King David did he do that quite often?

I don't think so. Yeah, he did. David had was David had a lot of imprecatory prayers, a lot of imprecatory prayers. Because his enemies were always trying to kill him. And uh Here I've I've experienced some of that myself.

Over the years. That does make sense because if you read through the Psalms, you will read one Psalm where David is praising God, and then the next he's afraid that do not let my enemies overtake me.

So, yeah, I get what you're saying there. Yeah, he's saying let let their children grow up fatherless without parents and that. let their their seed rot and their root rot and Uh yeah, he he did quite a few impregnatory prayers. Uh And So he goes on here. And he says Behold, I have done according to thy words, so Lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart, so that there was none like thee before thee.

Neither after thee shall any of Rice like unto thee. And so here now God has given him. An understanding heart where He was wiser than anybody before him. And Why is it that anyone is coming after him? I'd say that's quite a few, huh?

Hmm. And I have given also given thee that which thou hast not asked. both riches and honour so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto thee all thy days.

So Solomon was the wealthiest of all the kings of Israel. He by far was the wealthiest. But he didn't get it his wealth by warfare. He didn't get it by taxing the people, okay? Um Yeah.

But he He actually had A number of the other nations actually came and brought Gold and silver to him as you know, as like a gift to him. To be you know, and this is where a lot of those wives came in, okay. Um And to being And so Here He goes on And if thou wilt walk in my ways to keep my statutes and my commandments. as thy father did, David did, walk. Then will I lengthen thy days David's heart was toward God, and David.

Try to obey God. But again, like I said, he had a pretty dysfunctional family. And Uh You know, he did some things. He was literally guilty of murder, okay? But God looked upon his heart and God forgave him And um For a sin, though.

But Did somebody pay the price? Did somebody pay the price for His sin with Bathsheba? Yeah. Who and who was that? Bathsheba's husband.

Well, he's perceived his husband. paid the price, but it not only that But the child the first child she conceived, died. That was by David. That was David's son. And And remember what David said Lord, blot me not out of the book of the living.

Um People misunderstand. The Book of the Living. There's seven different books that the Bible speaks. I'm not talking about the 66 books of the Bible. There's seven books that the Bible speaks of.

In the Bible. One of 'em is the Book of the Living. Uh You've got the book of the generations, you've got the book of the law, you've got the book of life, you've got. The book of remembrance, you've got the The book here of the living What do you think the difference is between the Book of the Living and the Book of Life? Because people confuse that The two books, The Books of the Living and The Book of Life, as one and the same.

Hmm probably the The book of life uh is one that gives will give us life abundance, but the Book of the Living is just for everyday life. Yeah, that means when he says Blot my name not out of the book of the living. That means you're dead. That means Don't kill me. Right?

And so that's what he was he was asking. Uh because of his sin And and so The Lord took his son in his place. Instead of him. And uh Of course we know what happened with the sun, right? You went right to heaven.

And because uh He was not at the age. Of accountability, as the scripture says, knowing the right from the left. And so And he goes on to say, And Solomon awoke. and behold, it was a dream, And he came to Jerusalem, and stood before the ark of the covenant of the LORD offered up burnt offerings and offered peace offerings. and made a feast to his servants.

Well, next Here Solomon became known As uh his his fame, even as a a young a young, very young man Uh his fame was known. that kicked his fame off was the the two prostitutes. You had two prostitutes that came. And the story with the two prostitutes were That uh that they both had babies. And well, you know what?

I'll just read this real quickly. They both had babies. Then came the two women that were harlots. unto the king and stood before him. And there one woman said, O my lord, I And this woman dwell in one house.

and I was delivered of a child with her in the house. And it came to pass on the third day after that I was delivered, This woman was delivered also, and And we were together there. was no stranger in the house with us. W we two in the house. and the woman's child died.

And she bec and she overlaid it. And she arose at midnight and took my son from beside me. while thine handmaid slept and let Uh uh and laid it in her bosom, and laid her dead child in my bosom. and when I arose in the morning to give my child suck, behold, it was dead But when I had considered it in the morning, behold, It was not my son. which I did bear.

Do you think a mother knows her own baby? I would say so. I would think so too. And the other woman said Nay, nay, nay, nay, nay, nay but The living is my son, and the dead is thy son. And this said, No, but the dead is thy son, and the living is my son.

Thus they spake before the king. Uh now these two women um You know, in those days they were kind of takin' a chance. on what they were doing because uh if you Where to bring Uh before the king A silly argument Um And you were to anger the king, uh things wouldn't end well with you, would they? Nope, not really. And so here And the king said The one saith, This is my son that liveth in the And thy son is the dead The other saith nay, but thy son, is dead and I said is the living.

The king said, Bring me a sword. and they brought her sword before the king, And the king said, 'Divide the living child in two and give half to the one and half to the other'. Then thou spake the woman who The living child was unto the king for her bowels Uh urine upon her son, And she said, O my Lord, Give her a living child. and let no one now I slay it. But the other said, Let it be neither mine nor thine, but divided.

So Solomon knew right then First of all, whose whose child it was, huh? Yeah. What do you do you think? Today, with the feminists of today, these screaming women we have out there Um What do you think Hillary Clinton would have done? That's a good question.

Yeah. I don't think she's here. I I have no doubts in my mind. And That that Hillary might have might have said, Go ahead and cut it in two. And she she's not a nice woman, is she?

Okay. I want to jump jump over here to chapter four, verses twenty nine. Then God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding. Uh Exceeding much and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore. And Solomon's wisdom excelled in the wisdom of all the children of the East country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.

for he was wiser than all men. Then Ethan.

So Ethan the Israelite was considered a wise a very wise man. and Heman, The uh and Calco and Darda the sons of Mahola. and his fame was in all the nations all around about.

So Here now.

Solomon's fame went out for his wisdom and many people And kings would come to him And Queen Sheba, the queen of the south, she came It brought many, many treasures. because of Solomon's wisdom. She wanted to talk to this fellow who was so wise. And he Here. in kind of a a sense in a way, Uh Donald Trump has a reputation around the world as as being Um Someone who Where it comes to Well, uh the art of the deal.

making deals and being able as a communicator Uh, what is it? Seven Wars he's ended already? Oh. You w would you say that maybe God has his hand on him? Maybe.

I would say so. Uh Um Let's go now. to where we actually wanted to get started in here. But I'm gonna have to just for one second. I've got a little refrigerator over here in my studio.

Step away. and get me something to wet my whistle because Yeah.

Okay. Okay, I've got a hold of something here. I'm parched. The third time today I'm preaching this message. But so.

You kind of get Little parched. Uh And right now I'm opening Uh a jar of cranberry juice. It's very cold.

Now that hit the spot. All right.

So now we're over in Ecclesiastes chapter 12 verses 1 through 14. And the very first verse we read is this. Remember now the Creator in the days of thy youth While the evil days come not. Nor the years draw nigh When thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them.

Alright, do you know one of the most frustrating things uh duties of a of a pastor. Bible teacher and shepherd. is to make people understand just how beneficial Just how beneficial Uh adherence to the advice That Solomon here is giving here. And at the same time How detrimental ignoring such advice is.

So Here when he says, Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth. What do you think the benefits would be of receiving uh salvation early. Early on in life.

Now you know you'll be walking with the Lord. for many years and you just continue to enrich your life through studying God's Word and walking with Him.

So you have a lot more time to place up treasures in heaven, huh? That's right.

Now here Uh what about if you have a young and healthy body, Is it easier to do? You know, for many, many years Uh I and and the the folks that doers of the word church I spent forty five years on the streets in front of those abortion mills preaching and witnessing. We let a lot of people They came out there to kill. they walked away with eternal life. We led a lot of people to the Lord out there, saved a lot of babies, And we did it all during the rain and in the snow, It was not easy, and Uh, to be truthful with you, I I'm just not up to join it to day.

At my age I just I can't do the things that I used to do. In Romans 1, Or Romans chapter 12 verses 1 and 2. He talks about using your body as a living sacrifice, your reasonable service. And so that's referring to Using your physical abilities In service to God. And that's placing up treasures in heaven, right?

But there's another message in this passage here. Let me read that again to you, okay? Remember now the Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not. nor the years draw nigh when thou shall say I have no pleasure in them. No.

The evil days he's referring to are the days. Um as as senior citizens, they're evil in the sense physically and sometimes mentally too. But let me ask you this Um Do most old young people I think that they're going to live. To be a ripe old age? Probably.

I remember preaching out there on the street and I remember a gang of of these boys come up And uh I was witnessing to them, preaching to them, and their leader said, Well, A breach He said When I get old like you, I'll get religion. And he said, Till then, preach, I'm with a party hearty. and do my thing. And I said, I got news for you. I didn't get old by being stupid.

Okay. And You may not ever get old That's not your call. At all. And Just for a minute, I th I saw a look on his face that he was actually thinking about that, okay? I got a letter today.

From a fellow that said last month they had over a hundred sh in ch he's from chic he lives in Chicago. And he told me they had over a hundred shootings and I think it was something like twenty something people died. Ah, in Chicago, that's just in Chicago. And so Uh Is that it's not a good attitude to have, right? And of course, you know, when we were all young, we thought this He goes on to say While the sun or the light or the moon or the stars be not darkened, Nor the clouds return from the rain.

And he he's talking about In other words Start serving God. using your body for a living sacrifice, Start placing up crowns in heaven now while you're young. Um you can get a lot more things done. And like and and by the way, like he says, It's not your call. You might not.

Ever lived to get old, huh? Yeah. He says this. In the day when the keepers of the house shall tremble, and What do you think the keepers of the house are, Josh? Uh would those be The angels at the gates of heaven.

Yeah. If you're now consider this, your house, your body is an old house. This is what he's telling you. Your body is an old house.

Now when you when you repair things around the house, What do you what do you you h you hold the hammer and the saw with? Your hands. Your arms and your hands.

So the keepers of the Are your arms in your hands here? And then he says, And and the strong men shall bow themselves The strong men are your legs. They're the your foundation. They're what holds you up. And the grind, this should be easy.

This one should be an easy one for you. And the grinders cease because they are few. What do you think the grinders are? Uh would that be Mm-hmm. What do you lose when you get old?

Oh, your sight. Your teeth. Teeth. Oh, grinders, yeah. Grinders are your teeth.

And they are few. and those that look out of the windows be darkened now those are your eyes. That is referring to And so Uh You know, I I'm trying to think of I don't I don't know If I know any Well, I don't know any people my age that have all Although the n they're they're ri original teeth. I'm not talking about baby teeth. I you know, they they all have you know False teeth are not you know, at least implants or whatever.

Oh. probably the closest one I would say would be my wife as far as coming to having all her original teeth at someone her age. But anyhow And so here And he says here. And the doors shall be shut in the streets When the sound of the grinding is low, and he shall rise up at the office of the the bird, And the daughters of the music shall be brought low.

Now Here the doors shall be shut.

So he's talking about Uh You're Difficulty in speaking. Your vocal cords is referring to your vocal cords, difficulties of speaking. Um And the daughters of music is of course again You're not able to You know, your voice changes quite a bit. And The low sound it's referring to is is your Hearing Uh It's getting dimmer. And then he goes on to say And when they shall be afraid of that which is high.

And fear should be in the way. And the almond tree shall flourish. and the grasshopper should be a burden. And desire shall fail because man goeth to his long home And the mourners go about the streets. I've got to take another I gotta whip my whistle one more time here.

And we take a look at that boy. And when they said they be afraid of that which is high, what do you think that means? Mm. Say they go? When it says here.

And when they shall be afraid of that which is high. And fear shall be in their way. My my wife A few years back. Yeah. made a decree, and that decree was I was no longer allowed upon ra ladders, you know, 'cause I was always working around The house and the pavilion down there.

and I'd be up on those ladders. And uh She decided uh for me that Um From on now on we're we're going to have some younger men get up on those ladders. And so But he's talking about falling. We Um you know, older people You know, have a fear of falling because what happens is. It's not like it used to be when we would fall and recover.

Quickly, Now the bones are more brittle. And we don't get over it, we don't heal as quickly anymore, okay?

So that's what he's talking about here, either climbing up on high things or falling. And then he says, And fear shall be in the way, and the almond tree shall flourish.

Now The almond tree What d'ye think that is all about? Mm, would there be I'll give you a hint. You don't have an almond tree, but I do. Mm. That's that's white hair.

It's into your white hair. Gotcha. As an almond, yeah. Lighter, lighter shade, yeah. And Oh, here this next one is a real good one.

You'll never figure this one out, but Let's take a look at it and see. And the grasshopper shall be a burden Now so when the grass what do you think in the world is the grasshopper, do you think?

Now, if if grasshoppers come When grasshoppers came in by the thousands and they would eat the crops, What would they be upon if the people?

Well, it says here, the grasshopper shall be a burden, okay?

So he's referring to things that are a nuisance. Things that uh bother people in their old age. He's remember it's Uh It's he's speaking to the elderly here, not to the young people, okay?

So things that are become a real burden burden to you are a nuisance. An irritation. Um Like ringing in the ears. You know, a lot of times when you get older, you end up with ringing in the ears, okay? And l and things like uh in your fingertips uh like uh the The feelings of pins and needles In your feet, in your fingertips, all of these things that could be a real.

aggravation Um and the stiffness of your joints Uh uh all of these things that can really be A real aggravation uh And Yeah.

Sometimes Yeah, what would people say? They they call me up and say, How are you, Pastor? I'd say I'm old and I'm grumpy and Uh but you know, y you might have a tendency t to get a little grouchy when you don't feel good, huh? Right. And so My wife says it.

When I missed uh well if I miss a couple of meals Stay away from me because I get dangerous when I get hungry. Get hangry. Yeah, yeah. And so And then he says Now you should you should be able to figure this one out. And the desire shall fail.

What do you think the desire he's referring to specifically here in the old issue w would? What, uh what kind of really lessens I think that's the desire between a husband and a wife. Right, reproductive, yeah you're right.

Okay. And then he goes on and says Because man goeth to his long home, And the mourners go about the streets.

Well, we know what the long home is, for us, that long home is eternal as heaven, huh? And for For the Democrats out there Not so well, okay. Uh for those that refuse to repent. And then he says Because man goes to his lo and the mourners go about the streets. Uh, you know, at that time Um In Israel you had paid mourners, It was it was a real disgrace.

If someone was to pass away, and no one attended her funeral. I've um I have Because I've buried a number of of prison inmates. And There was no family and some of them no family at all. Yeah. And And a couple of those there was just Myself, as believe it or not, Uh one inmate, Richard Eberlin, it was just myself and Uh A plain dealer reporter that came down because of the story.

I worked at a graveyard in between full-time jobs many years back, and there were a few times where. The The hearse that brought the coffin to the grave, and those of us who were putting them in the grave were the only ones there. And no one said any words over him, huh? I believe I believe the one who brought them said words over them. I had One of the Unique Uh Yeah, I think was a fellow named Lou Gilbloom.

He was he was a Convert a Jew And He left at his will he instructions. One, He wanted a plain pine box, which he had, it was a plain pine box. and it had no nails, it was had wooden spikes, it was put together with wooden pegs. And Lou loved children There wasn't one single flower at his at his funeral. But there were about ten pastors All the p the pastors at New Hulu, And Here There were a lot of children.

People brought their children. And here he had it instructions that I would personally lower his casket into the grave, and stayed there until it was completely covered up. And And what I did, of course I I did, but there was a crane that helped me but I ca you know, put my hands and my arms like I was lo and and when I went through all the motions and that But that was an amazing thing. Anyhow.

So here now Uh and moreover Because the preacher was wise and still taught the people now. Jeh, he gave Good heed. and sought out and sent in order many proverbs course that preacher was none other than Solomon himself. And the preacher sought to find acceptable words That which was written was upright, even words of truth. And the words of the wise are as goads and nails.

fastened by the masters of the assemblies that are given from one shepherd.

Now That one shepherd he's speaking to, whose words are it? that Solomon said should be fastened down It was the words of the Lord Jesus. Himself, the Lord. And then he says And further thee, my son, be admonished of making many books, There is no end, and much weariness Of the flesh.

Now, that was an interesting thing because even Uh if you go back Here, even three thousand years ago, You had a lot of people writing books that nobody was reading. Do you think that problem is much greater today? I would say so. Yeah. Yeah.

I've got so many books I've got probably over ten thousand books. Uh I've probably bought maybe half a dozen in my lifetime. People over the years wanting to be on the radio sent me all of their books. I mean sending me books continuously. And I try to r to read as many as possible, but Uh it's kinda hard nowadays.

Anyhow.

But here we go. This is the important thing. Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter. Fear God and keep His commandments. for this is the whole duty of man.

And God shall bring every work into judgment, and every secret thing, whether it be good or whether it be evil.

So when he's telling us the conclusion of the whole matter, fear God Keep his commandments, for this is the entire duty. And so from Genesis to Revelation. The one thing that God demands more than any other thing Was obedience, huh? Yeah. And so And of course What is with us as believers as Christian?

What is the number one mission? that he has given us. He's given us a number one mission above and beyond the others. We call it the Great Commission. We call it the Great Commission.

And to go out and to witness, to be a witness on the streets to Um Teach the Bible. To baptize in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Uh So that's the number one thing. But in order for us to do that We got to be saved, don't we? Absolutely.

And so folks, let me tell you The most important thing that anyone could ever, has ever done as receive Christ as their Lord and Saviour. This is reality. God's Word, the Bible. is total reality. There is no greater source of wisdom, knowledge.

Or authority in existence than right here in this King James Bible.

Now you don't have to believe that. You don't have to believe that, but I'll guarantee you this, you will. You will believe every word that proceeded forth from the mouth of God, So Today is the day to repent. You call upon the name of the Lord. Pray to the Father, ask for forgiveness of your sin, and Ask the Lord Jesus to be Lord of your life all of your life without any reservations, and you will become a new creature, a born-again believer, and heir of the kingdom.

and you will be on the road. to eternity.
