Always. Got a good one here. Uh Yeah, actually I've got a big screen. I got the the volume muted, but even as we go through here I can look up every now and then and see what's what's taking place, but I'm not going to Do it at a half-time. Half-time I switch.
Yeah, I've got a I've got the T V on in studio. I glance up at it every now and then. I really don't care, though. Yeah. Anyhow.
Title of the message was What We Believe When It Comes to Matthew 25, 31 through 46. You know, here I Looking back, looking back over the years. Many years, many years, fifty one years. And I'm thinking, what has our church done? What has our little church done?
and fifty one years.
Well, we're gonna get into some of that. We're gonna start tonight In Matthew chapter twenty five And verse thirty one. It will take a diverse at a time. When the Son of Man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, Then shall he set upon the throne of his glory, And before him shall be gathered all nations and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd devices his sheep for the goats. No Question.
When is this gonna be? We know that this is not The Bema seat judgment. That's already taken place. And so And we know that's not the White Throne judgment because that's a thousand years away.
So That leaves one one part time And that's at the end of the tribulation period. And so here now you know, who else would be there is will be there.
Okay.
Now he goes on and he says Um And he shall set the sheep on his right hand and the goats on his left. Of course, the sheep are the remnant of the The population of the Gentiles left after the tribulation period. that go into the millennium that were Well, those that were kind to the brethren. the Jews. This is who he was.
His brother were the Jews. Uh both Save the Jews and And then these were Save Jews and Gentiles alike. Hello. Remember. They were all marked for execution by the Antichrist.
So During that tribulation period, what do you think it was it was like Here, Kenny, as we see this Oh. After the rapture of the church takes place. People are going to notice a whole lot of those that are still here, those who were not saved, those that were left behind. Are you gonna notice, don't you think, that a whole lot of people are gone? What do you think they're gonna do when that happens?
Um I think a lot of people will go crazy.
Well, they're going to. Many of them are going to say, you know what, I remember. Hearing that preacher Talking about this time. I never pay much attention, but You know my m mom and dad used to tell me about this time. I never really listened.
Or I had a friend who used to talk about this. about this rapture of the Church And it looks like it took place Now I better find out what's coming my way. And so, what do you think they're going to do? They're going to try to find a Bible. Hmm.
Well, they're going to try to find a Bible before that. Things are going to happen. You know, when the rapture takes place. There will be planes in the air without pilots. There'll be cars driving down the road without without people driving them, or drivers.
Uh you're gonna have a whole kind of lot of chaos, right? Yeah. Yeah, it'll be mass chaos. But what else are you going to have there?
Well Think about this. Uh Flesh and blood is not going to make it into heaven, is it? No. No. So now When those when our bodies are changed in an instant.
who were taken out. Uh my titanium hip is going to be left behind. My titanium shoulder's gonna be left behind. My artificial knee gonna be left behind. Uh All of these things And what about all the The the art and the implants, your teeth that you have.
Yeah, fillings. Yep. Any kind of screws or anything you've got in plates in your feet or anything? Anything. Anything that's foreign would be left behind.
And be left behind in a heap of clothes, wouldn't it? Yeah. But think about this. There's no blood in heaven.
So what that there's A lot of theologians think that um your clothes and all that's gonna be soaked in all the blood. I don't know. I would I would think that Since if there's life in the blood, that life would be changed. and you'd have new life, but I don't know. I don't know.
This is what a lot of people People believe. And so Here now Think about this. You're one of those people. They weren't saved. And all of a sudden you you see all of this, all this Total Chaos.
Now do you think NBC, ABC, CBS gonna have some kind of Explanation for all this? Yeah, they'll they'll try to come up with something. How about that?
Well, what about if they say, Well, you know, The Messiah Will not return to earth until he cleanses of unbelievers. or something to that estate, you know. Uh And that and that explains why all the people are gone. Or or they'll try to tell you that those people were never there anyways. Yeah, I wouldn't doubt that.
Yeah. Yeah. I would I wouldn't doubt that at all. But anyhow Yeah. And so believe your lion eyes.
Yeah. So yeah.
So here what you're gonna do. Like you said before, we got to find a Bible. We got to. And People can say, I remember them saying that King James is the only real Bible, the King James, so we gotta find King James Bibles. And so they'll be looking for King James Bibles and all of a sudden they'll be looking for Bible teachers And do you think that there will be Some Bible teachers out there that were really not saved and left behind?
Um I'm I'm sure there'll be some, but I don't know there are gonna be any good ones.
Well, here do you remember when Obama was running And they had what you call the Uh Matthew chapter twenty five Uh Coalition, the religious left coalition. They were running those commercials on T V you had. you had these people drift up and Clerical garb, mostly women. who professed to be Ministers And they were Making a mockery, making a real mockery. out of the Bible playing off people's biblical literacy.
and they were talking about how they were the ones that were Matthew twenty five, How they fed the hungry and housed the homeless. And when I heard that commercial, the first one, I said, well, listen, I'm going to help them out. I'm going to let people know who they really are. Because they're on the left. These are the people on the left.
So we went into Matthew chapter 25. And We showed them who these people really were. And Not only did I do that, I noticed within the A couple of days other Ministries were picking up, other pastors, radio pastors and T V pastors were picking up on it. and pretty soon we were all preaching The same narrative, if you will. And and see Within a week they pull all those down, they pull them right down.
because people were figuring things out. It really backfired on them big time. Yeah. Let me go here. To verse thirty-four: Then shall the king say unto them on the right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
What what does the emphasis of the right hand what does that say? Um On on the right ha the right hand would be Um Where you'd want to be. The seat of power, okay. Those on the right, Christ sits to the right hand of the Father. Uh upon the cross.
When Jesus had the two thieves in between the one on the right, he said, Now this day he will be with me in in paradise. I say to you this day that you will be with me in paradise. Um And over Ugh. The uh Oh, you know, ecclesiastics. I I didn't get me.
I'm gonna have to. Give me something co uh to wet my whistle here in a minute, but In Ecclesiastes chapter ten, verse two, he says A wise man's heart is at his right hand But a fool has had his left.
Okay.
And so the the right hand always refers to or the right is a of authority, the position of authority and power. On the left It refers usually to the opposite of that, the total opposite, even fools. And so Today, if you believe in God, do you believe in country righteousness? you consider to be a right wing. If if you don't, if you believe in everything that God's word the Bible calls sin You're on the left.
He goes on to say Then the king said to say unto them, On the right hand, Come, ye, blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. for I was a hungered and ye gave me meat I was thirsty and you gave me drink. I was a stranger, and you took me in. naked and you clothed me, and I was sick and you visited me. I was in prison, and you came unto me.
Then shall the righteous answer him and say, Lord, When saw we thou hungered, or fed thee, or thirsty, and gave thee drink? Whenso we thee a stranger, and took thee in and naked and clothed thee, Or when so we we the sick or in prison. and came unto thee, And the king shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, inasmuch as you have done it to one of the least of mine, brethren, you have done unto me. Of course The Brethren, we know, were were the Jews and Here he is he is speaking. Until the remnant left.
And these are the saved remnant, both Jews and Gentiles.
So You know, I start off by saying thinking all these years, fifty one years, as a pastor of the church. What have what has our church done?
Well For forty five years on a regular weekly basis Uh our church our pastors We visited the prisons and jails. Up on Death Row for all those years up on Death Row.
Sometimes we could. we'd have as many as twenty inmates at a time. come out, we could hold classes, sometimes I think twenty five, okay. And we'd be in there for maybe three hours. uh and having a a great Bible study and it was Really good Uh And all of these men, they all All of 'em.
I gave their heart to the Lord. And I know because when many of them were executed. I sat there with them and They died some with a smile on their face, knowing when they opened their eyes again they were going to be in a much better place. And so What do we do all of that time?
Well, you know, he talks about here those that Feed the hungry. Back in the old days in the prison ministry we used to be able to bring food boxes into the you can't do that today. But we used to be able to bring food boxes into the inmates. They'd give you a list of things, and it was very specific. In other words, If you got a jar of peanut butter or jelly, it would have to be in plastic jars, not glass.
You couldn't bring anything glass. Um if it comes to razor blades you can get to th those uh Those little big disposable razors, you couldn't get regular razor blades. But there was a a lot of things you had to meet the restrictions of. Um even even shaving cream and stuff, you had to make sure that that you got the kind that had no alcohol in it and All of this stuff, things that weren't flannel. And so but we did it.
And we would we would bring th them in and so we would Bring him food that wasn't prison food. Today. I bet that was well appreciated. Oh, yeah. Oh, it really was.
And, you know, we could bring bags of peanuts, we could bring. um, you know, a lot of stuff that was on the list. But Today, unfortunately, what they've gone and done is they have Changed that To where you have to buy it. You have to buy everything right from the the prison store, the company store, And they charge you about three times what we charge you. Oh, I'm sure, yeah.
Oh, they do. Oh, yeah, yeah.
Well, we can buy it out here.
So Today you have to be able to send the inmates money and then let them buy it so there's a big profit margin for the prison system. And so here We did that. We Took them, we visited them. There were two prison hospitals that we visited on a regular basis. We had a number of inmates that were in the prison hospitals.
and we visited them, many of 'em.
Well, quite a few of 'em seemed like Pretty much once you get there. You're not going to really leave there. One in, mate. He spent all of his time in the hospital. Not only did he never ask for for any help from us.
Although In the early days of his incarceration. And he was he was incarcerated for almost forty years. In the early days of his incarceration, We did help him out quite a bit. And but you know what, Kenny? When he died He left us a check for our church for $4,000.
I couldn't believe it. Wow. And uh the inmates don't make much, they only make like twelve cents an hour or eighteen, okay. And so he left that to our church. And so here We did what it says here.
And Matthew Chet we visited. The sick Oh. And you know when it says we clothe the naked, we We had uh If you I don't know if you remember, a year or two ago we were getting collecting coats. for the homeless people. We were having a drop off and We were getting coats.
For the homeless. And Uh again We visited the sick, we bottled food, we visited those in prison, we visited those in the hospital and So we were doing like it said here. And Picking it up in verse forty one Then shall He saith to them on the left hand, Depart from me, You cursed into everlasting fire Prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungered and you gave me no meat, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink. I was a stranger and you took me not in, naked, and you clothed me not, sick, and in prison, and you visited me not.
Then shall they answer him, saying, Lord, When saw we They are hungered, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or imprisoned, and did not minister unto thee. Then shall he answer and saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as you did it not unto one of the least of these, you did it not to me. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous. Uh to life eternal.
Now Today, the Apostate Church. Let me ask you a question. Think about this, what I just said. Remember what. The Matthew 25 Religious Left Coalition did.
They knew. They fully knew what this said. Knowing what to say How would you Knowing what what the They just read Why in the world would anybody in their right mind choose to go to the left and do what they did. What do you think? Uh they're delusional?
Or maybe they're Just flat out lying. I mean, it's. There's a l there's a lot there. I d I I don't know. I I I think they're just being deceitful.
It's a Well, what about this? What about they know that? But what about they b they've been given over to a reprobate mind?
So we're Where god sent em strong delusion Where They believe their own lies. Mm-hmm. And what ha what happens when you continually to reject God's Word when He gives you over and over? And They become incontinent. They lose the ability to do The right thing.
And so here Well That's exactly what what we saw take place and that's what's taking place today. with those on the Apostate Church, The Apostate Church. whatever God's whatever the Bible calls sin They have said no. I never Was able to make it across the room to turn off this, and I just looked up. And I saw on this I was gonna s switch over, but I obviously can't do that when I'm doing a radio program.
And they have this guy on there. I think they call him the rotten rabbit. Yeah. Okay.
Sounds right. And there looks like they're I'm looking now, it looks like there's a bunch of whores. out there. Uh And this in the This is This is this is what they consider entertainment. Yeah.
So I'm gonna I'm not gonna look up anymore. I can't take it looking up at it anymore. This is pathetic, okay? But this is this is what the world is today. I want to go over James chapter 2 And in James chapter 2.
Verses fourteen through twenty. What doth it prophet, my brethren? Although A man say he hath faith and have not worked. Can faith save him? If a brother or a sister be naked and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace.
Be you warmed and filled, notwithstanding. ye give them not those things which are needful to the body. What does a profit? Even so, faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yeah, a man may say Thou hast faith, and I have works.
Show me thy faith. without thy works, and I will show thee my faith by my works. Thou believest that there is one God? Thou doest well the devils also believe and tremble. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
Uh Kenny here You know, a valid faith is proven by works. Often When people would come to our church They would expect to see this great big beautiful building. You know, because we've been around for so long, been on the radio and um sometimes on television. And they would come to expect to see this and But um You know, our sanctuary holds ninety people max, okay. That's not one of these big beautiful buildings.
Oh, we have. A lot more members than that, but many of them scattered all across the United States. But here Uh The reason there's a reason for that. And the reason for that is what we, you know. what we just read.
Now we could have spent You know, and this, even airtime in our ministry, it costs a couple of million dollars a year to continue. with all the different ministries.
Okay.
But We don't have this big, beautiful building. Why won't we put Our money and defeating the hungry. There was a a lot of people out there in the That um We would take and I used to get Yeah. when the jails would call me, the jail would say We we really could use we have a family over here. And this I will never forget.
When This one grandmother called me one day, and she was just beside herself. And She said, I hope that you can help me. And I I said What do you need? She said, Well, the chaplain at the jail told me to call you And he said that that you would help. And she said My daughter and her husband are both in jail.
They both got arrested for dealing drugs. I've got their three children here. I have not a crumb of bread or a drop of milk in the house. I just barely make it in his meeting. I don't know what I'm gonna do.
Is there any way you could get us some help?
Well, we did. We got him, you know. Um A lot of food. We got him plenty of food. And Other times we have people Many times, in fact, that um In the dead of winter.
It went out of heating oil. And You know, and I ask these people, Why don't you go To the church that you attend, well. We don't really have a church around here that we we can attend. They're those liberal churches. We don't have any actual real churches by.
Well, You know, Scripture doesn't say in the Good Samaritan that they have to be a part of your congregation.
So. Many times we helped, we got heating oil, It didn't go into a building fund, it went into people's heating the homes in the cold winters. They actually went to helping people. Yeah. I remember things.
I remember there's a lady I believe probably listening to this radio program right now. who was homeless. She was a homeless woman And here Uh she found an abandoned trailer. and she was allowed to move into this abandoned trailer. But she had no no electricity, no no power, no for any heat or refrigerator or anything.
And she didn't know what to do. She called us, and we got her electricity. We had. electricity ho hooked up and she was able to uh lived there until she she moved into with a uh an apartment with another lady friend and But Time and time again we had a number of people calling us for help, and we understood that It was God's people.
Okay.
Uh I didn't take any Any cruises You know, too. Uh any of these big Alaskan cruises or You know, we just heard some cruises uh from mega churches advertised a little while ago. We didn't spend any money on cruises. We spent money on people. Because they they need it.
And so here Yeah.
Well I want to jump back to where we went through here. In verse 18. Yeah, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works. Show me thy faith without thy works, and I will show thee my faith by my works. Thou believest there is one God Thou dost well.
The devils also believe and they tremble.
Now, when you believe in one God, that's called monotheism, isn't it? Isn't it? And can you name me the three religions that are monotheistic.
Okay.
Um Three of them. Would that be Christian? Uh Jewish. You got two. Maybe Muslim?
Yeah, it's okay. Yeah, right.
Now they're they're all Monothe the rest from are polytheistic. Mhm. Uh ones that I I know of. I don't know of any others that are monotheistic. But there's a big difference with Christianity.
Because Christianity is the only one that recognizes They Creator And the Redeemer as as one person is the same person, huh? Mm-hmm. So I want to go over real quick too Luke chapter 3. And in Luke chapter 3. Versus Nine through fourteen.
And now, also, now this is John the Baptist talking, and he's. He's doing some heavy duty preaching here. And I also The axe is laid into the root of the trees, Every tree therefore which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down and cast into the fire. And the people asked him, saying, What shall we do then? And he answered and said unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that have the none, And he that hath meat, let him do likewise.
Remember when the Lord Jesus came in? And Jesus said it's that you should s uh sell your garment and buy a sword. He was talking to Peter and John. Mm-hmm. What do you think he said then?
Um Because in in He knew that they would have to Fight.
Well, It was a defensive move, not an offensive in in other words You need to prepare because they're going to be coming after them. Right. And you got to be able to be prepared to defend yourself and your brother, right? No. Here The gravity of that was this.
Most of those people had one. Coat. one garment. And You know, at night time, without a robe, without a garment, it got pretty cold.
So he was telling them that the It was so important to even sell the only one you have. And get a sword to protect yourself 'cause it was gonna get serious, huh? Yeah. So Here He's giving the instructions: if you have two, if you're one of those people that are wealthy enough to have two. Then to share it with someone has none.
In other words Uh Not to be Materialistic. Right. That people are more important The money, the the material goods. That was some Then came the the publicans to be to be baptized, and said unto him, Master, What shall we do? And he said unto them, Exact no more than that which is appointed to you.
Why do you think he said that? Um The Publicans were tax collectors. And they they always picked the Jewish people there as as tax collectors Why do you think he did that? The Romans Um Because Then this way they were texting themselves, texting each other.
Well, no, it's because They knew the other Jews, and they knew who had it what. Oh, okay. I was see I was thinking the other way around, like as a PR move, you know. And so they're more likely to. give, give to their own.
Now the way that that worked was this. That The Romans said, Look. Here's how much we want. For mister Goldstein, here's how much we want.
Now anything over that, that's yours to keep. You just bring us this amount. And do what you have to do. And so Uh You know, the love of money is the root of all evil, all kinds of evil. I bet some people took advantage of that.
Oh, they certainly did because the Republicans and that's publicans, not republicans, okay. But the publicans were the most despised people at all. I mean, they were really despised. And nobody But the Lord Jesus dare eat with a publican, but the Lord Jesus. Ate with Matthew, didn't he?
And so here And Matthew repented, and we're reading Matthew's story right now, aren't we? And so He says, exact, in other words. Tax just collect the tax. Uh that is odd, and that's it. Don't don't get yourself rich, don't overcharge these people.
And then the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, What shall we do? And he said to them, Do no violence to no man, neither accuse of any falsely and be content with your wages. What soldiers what s soldiers do you think he was talking to? Would these be would these be uh Soldiers like for the church. No.
Or are these the Roman soldiers? These were You had the two soldiers you had the Herodian soldiers the for the king. which were half breed Jews. And then you had the Roman soldiers, okay.
Now they had s ex special privileges, the Romans did. In other words, the Romans could exact someone and say all right Um, you here you are gonna carry My belongings here for one mile. They they were allowed to exact someone to carry for one mile. And they had other privileges in The other thing that they said, you know, when if a Roman soldier made an accusation, that was a serious situation. And the people could could suffer greatly.
And the Roman soldier was going to be believed.
So the Roman the Roman soldier uh makes a a clear point. Look here. You know, I feel that you've You've really insulted me. Uh and you have maybe even threaten me. But that I would feel a whole lot better Uh if maybe you gave me a hundred bucks.
Hmm.
In other words, so The idea was Not to do that. not to do that.
Okay.
Don't abuse your power. Right. And so Here, John the Baptist was instructing him in righteousness. Share your clothing, share your food uh only exact the right amount, you know, uh Don't mistreat people. unfairly, and don't extort money from them.
Now And I thought about that. Uh do you remember when we had uh last winter. We we didn't do it this winter because The person that was in charge of that was not with us any more due to illness, but Uh we we did a lot of collecting of coats for the homeless. And You know, I I really should have Uh, I just got s caught up with so much stuff it just, you know, passed me right by. But, um Here Uh we probably need to pick up on that again next year.
Yeah. So now I want to go over Two. Three.
Now here One of the things we also did is For thirty three years We had an an old the old folks' home, where the old soldiers and sailors' home. The old veterans And for thirty three years we visited them on a very weekly basis. Our church And uh did the message there. But the pastor who was in charge of that, he went home to be with the Lord that was Pastor Fred, and Uh and his his wife is no longer able to do anything.
So we well, it wouldn't matter there because They shut the old folks' home down.
So it's not there now. But anyhow, for thirty-three years we did that. We went and we ministered there to them. And Paper people are Much more important them property, aren't they? Absolutely.
So if we go over to Revelation Um Three. Chapter three Yell And I got the wrong page here.
Okay, there I'm on the right page now. And we start in verse 7: the message to the church of Philadelphia. Do you know what the that word Philadelphia means? No. It means brotherly love.
Brotherly love. The city I brotherly love. I d I I thought that I didn't know that that was actual Yeah, it is. Boy, the the Philadelphia that's a P A is is It's not a city of brotherly love, is it? No, not even close.
It's a city of corruption. It's a success pool. Oh, it is corruption. An absolute Chaos. Fraud, yeah.
I mean, it's it's not a good place at all, is it? No. And it's got a very bad reputation. But anyhow He says, And to the angel of the church of Philadelphia, write these things. Saith he that is holy, and he that is true, And he that hath the key of David, he openeth in No man shutteth and shutteth and no man open.
Who do you think? That angel, that angel of the Church of Philadelphia was Would that be Jesus? I would think it would say an angel of the Lord or the angel of the Lord if it was. No, it was the pastor. See, the word angel.
The word Angela in the Greek Angelus means messenger. And here Yeah. The pastor was the seven churches, had seven, the seven angels were seven pastors that he was referring to. of the church. Often you have t uh in Scripture where Angels are called men and men are called angels.
In this case here men are referred to as angels, But if we list if we read Daniel, Um How did Daniel referred to uh the angels there. As men. Yeah, as men. And he did. Remember he referred to Gabriel, the man Gabriel.
And so here he says I know thy works behold, I have set before thee an open door. And no man can shut it, for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word. and hast denied my name. Let me go back here. Tid to verse seven.
He says that These things have they said it's holy And it is true, and he hath the key of David. He that openeth and no man shutteth, and shutteth, and no man openeth. What do you think the key of David is? Would that be knowledge? No Faith.
Mm mm. I think if we go to Isaiah chapter twenty two. In Isaiah chapter 22, verses 20 and 22. And it shall come to pass that in that day I will call my servant Elichim the son of Helicah. And I will clothe him with thy robe, and strengthen him with thy girdle.
and I will commit thy government into his hand And he shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah. And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder, so he shall open, and none shall shut, and he shall shut and none shall open.
So Here Uh He because of his faith, because of he was such a man of great faith. He was considered a type of Christ. He was considered a type of Christ. And here Upon there would be a Uh Like a little string, a little rope, or necklace, whatever. that would go and would be attached around and and upon the shoulder would be A key.
And that was a symbolic symbolism. That means that he had complete Complete control like Joseph had complete control of of the the king of Egypt. Uh kingdom. Here He had complete control. of the house of David were all of his treasures.
all of his food, all everything for the house of David. Uh he had complete control. He was the The number one servant there, if you will. And so here He decided Who would get what? Who could what treasures people could see?
Who would get fed? What who would get what food? What what well, you know, complete control of the the treasure, so If he opened a door For something, nobody could shut it because he was the king's min minister.
Now if we go back to Over to Revelation 3 And we take a look at that. Uh and we read Yeah. That no man shutteth. What door is it that the Lord Jesus or opens That no man can shut. He opens the door that no man can shut and shuts a door that no man can open.
Right, exactly.
Okay.
Um Mm-hmm. Those that hear the gospel, those That are going to get chosen, and those that are going to be rejected, huh? Mm-hmm. He says I know thy works. Behold, I have set before thee an open door.
No man can shut. Thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and thou hast not denied my name, Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan. which say they are Jews and are not. But do I? Behold, I will make them to come.
and to worship before thy feet. and to know that I have loved thee, Now, who do you think he's talking to here? Um Would these be Um False fake Christians? He's talking to us, okay, to the church here. And And our church I consider it to be like the Church of Philadelphia.
We have not compromised. We've held to a high standard to the Word of God without compromise.
Now, The Lord Jesus refers to those who say they are Jews but are not. The Apostle Paul. refers to those in Jesus' tattoo in j in John eight. But the Apostle Paul, Romans 9. When he refers to um The You seeds of Abraham Versus the sons of Abraham.
And so the difference was the seed of Abraham, or those that were Jewish. By blood. But the sons of Abraham are true Jews. those that were are saved. And so Here He says, Behold, I will make them at the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews and are not, but do lie.
Do you suppose today that we see Chunky Schumer. George Soros, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behart, Bernie Sanders, Barbara Streisand. and on and on. Do you think that they would be in that category? Oh, yeah.
Yeah, they definitely fall in the category of the seed, not the sun. And I will make them of the synagogue of Satan say, They are which say they are Jews and are not, but do lie. Behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet. and to know that I have loved thee Now he's talking to the church. Is he saying that That these people are going to Going to worship us?
Um I don't know about worship us. I mean, that's I guess that's what it says.
Well, no, he's he's they're going to worship him. In other words, they're going to be on their knees, and if they refuse, their knees will be broken, but they will be on their knees before Almighty God. And that That white throne judgment. They will be on their knees before God. And We will be present there.
Our feet will be present. as they're upon their knees, is what he's referring to here. And so Behold. Thou hast kept the word of my patience, I will also keep thee from the hour of temptation. We shall come upon all the world to try them.
that dwell upon the earth.
So what do you think that hour of temptation is? Um would that be Uh the mark of the beast. Would that be Hold hold, you know what? Hold on a second. I gotta separate just for a little minute and uh.
Grab me something. I got a little refrigerator over here. Hold on one minute. Because thou hast kept my thy word. Of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation.
Which shall come up to the middle of the morning? And I've got to I'm awful parched.
Okay.
So now I'm going to take a A swig of very cold water, okay? And that feels good.
Okay.
Going back to Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I will also keep thee from the hour of temptation. which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. That our temptation is the tribulation period. There are those who say what the Church has gone through the tribulation period. No, the Church will not go through the tribulation period.
It would be totally Uh illogical. for the church to go through the tribulation period. Do you know where that is? Because we won't be here.
Well, yeah, that's true, but The reason we won't be there Is because the The purpose of the tribulation period Is the purification of the nation of Israel? They have as of yet not received Christ as their Messiah. And also judgment on the Gentiles, those that have not repented. And the church doesn't fall in either one of those categories. The church, the bride of Christ, has already been purified.
And so. It would be totally illogical. Um For us to be here during that tribulation period. In fact, several places in Scripture uh where uh it said that you know we will will not be here. that we will not be During the the time of tribulation.
He goes on to say, Behold, I come quickly, hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. In other words, he's telling you stay with the faith, Keep the faith and don't become weary. Uh, don't let any uh, you know, takeaway cause you To do less than the best for the Lord. Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the Temple of my God. and he shall go no more out, and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is New Jerusalem, that cometh down from heaven, and from my God, and I will write upon him my new name.
In other words, in the days that we're living in in the times of of tribulation for And I'm not talking about the tribulation period. I'm talking about. Persecution that the the church is under greater persecution today in the world than it's ever been, ever. And so he's saying uh You know, continue in the faith. Whatever happens, do never, never deny him, huh?
Mm-hmm. He that hath an ear, let him hear what he say to the churches. Then he goes on and he says, And until the Angel of the Church of Laodicea who write these things, saith The Amen, a faithful and true witness in the beginning of the creation of God, well that's the Lord Jesus. I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot. I would that thou were cold or hot.
So he's saying that he would rather have them be all For him or all against him, huh? but not lukewarm. Yeah, not wishy-washy. He says So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of my mouth. That means it then no longer be a part of the body, huh?
Now this is not the apostate church. How do we know that they're not the Apostate Church?
Well, we know it because Their candlestick has not been removed. And so here This is the comfortable church. the church of Laodicea. These are Uh like the big mega churches that that that want to stay comfortable. I remember having a Uh with some people Tell me one time the reason they attend The mega church that they attend is that They can fit in there, sit in there with all the people, and never ever worried I have to worry about being called on to do something.
Because there's so many people. Yeah. So the mega church is like neutral. They they hold to the actually the The pastors will preach the They'll preach the gospel. But I know, for example, a pastor of one of these mega churches that tells his people that they shouldn't be involved in p politics.
That um You know, the politics are dirty. Don't be involved in it. The Bible says, Be you a doer of the word, not a hearer, only deceiving your own self. In other words, where to be the head, not the tail. All right.
Right. Let me ask you a question. Do you know what the difference was between The politics and the faith of the Lord Jesus. Nothing. You're right, they were one of the same, and the same thing with the apostles, and that's the way it's supposed to be with us.
your faith in your politics to be one of the same. And yeah, your faith should drive your politics. Right. Uh there were times when We had I I remember Uh well, when there was an Operation Rescue in Atlanta And Charles Stanley had that big mega church there. And we needed the the places to park our cars and he wouldn't let us use his parking lot of his big church.
But he said He said when the day when They start arresting. A pastor's for praying he'll lead the march.
Well, guess what? Within a week they arrested ten pastors right on the sidewalk in front of his church. and the call went out, Charles, where are you?
Okay.
uh others and these are people I knew, you know, They preach the gospel And that's good. And that's, you know, blessed are the feet of those that preach the gospel. And he did preach the gospel, okay? Um And another one was like was was Well, I'm I'm not good. I'm we're running out of time.
But What he's telling you is here what it Yeah. Your faith has to go into helping God's creation. Jesus was making it very clear here that he stands outside. He says, Because thou sayest I am rich and increase with goods and have need of nothing, Thou knowest not that thou art wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked, In other words, Um they will put their trust in their their wealth, I know I've talked to Several people that attend these mega churches, and it seems like. They don't want to talk about the prison ministry.
They don't want to talk about You know how many ch children they fed. We lit we you know We read off a list to day in the churches of the different ministries. They want to talk about how nice the church is. They have a bookstore there, they have a coffee shop there. There's there's one out there, I believe, in the Canton area, it's actually got a nine old golf course.
Some have Olympic State. Zay's Paul's. That's not sounds like a country club. Yeah. So he says, I constantly divide of me gold, tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich.
In other words, He's telling them you think you're rich, but you're not. You're actually bef you you're actually wretched. with white Redmond.
Now the gold referred to Gold being tried refers to persecution, that you be Be willing to suffer persecution for my name's sake. You count it all glory. He said and get twite rained that that refers to righteousness. that thou mayest be clothed, that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear. Anoint thy eyes with eyesaff, that thou mayest see in other words, understanding.
that God That the love of money is the root of all evil, and that The Lord Jesus said, I stand at the door and knock. If any man hear my voice and open, I will come in with him. and what he's telling em is it's time to repent There was time to repent. And start being in line with Matthew chapter 25 here. and forget about taking river cruises or ocean cruises Uh you know, put your money That you have in people God's creation.
