This month is flying by. And tonight folks do. He's he's a man of many, many talents, a potential broadcasting giant, a celestial co host, you might say. None other than my producer Kenny. Good evening, Pastor.
Good evening there, Ken. And uh I'm telling you, it's it's been And honor to be your hero.
Well, thank you. I did it. Any help? Are you ready for this now? Oh, I've got over the years a lot of people Have a lot of questions.
And uh but Different points of scripture. What does the Bible actually teach?
Okay. Things like. Yeah, well, I I wanna know about Uh Burial versus cremation. That's what we're going to be preaching on tonight. But other topics have been masturbation.
They want to know what the Bible teaches on And then another topic. Uh and a lot of times there's areas where the Bible's not real clear, not real definite, but But it always speaks to everything. Uh you just gotta look very carefully for the answers. And uh again Tonight we're going to be talking about burial of Uh versus cremation. And here Um Yeah, we're gonna start with definitions.
Now People often don't understand when I give a definition That they don't realize, did you know that the King James Bible, we have an entire Dictionary. I mean it's a big, thick, thick Full volume dictionary. Because of the amount of words within the King James Bible and the different definitions. And so it's a Dictionary on the biblical worldview. And this is what we use because we're always talking about biblical world view And whatever Uh are The narrative is.
And so Sometimes people Okay. when when I give a definition it's not what they think because They automatically go to Webster's, and of course, if they go to the older Webster's. Uh, like we have here, you're gonna find out that the pretty much the same, okay. but the newer ones are not quite so, and so they go to one of the Websters, or even either go up on the internet and look for a definition, And it's not what they expect. It's because they're going to the wrong place, because we're talking about a biblical worldview.
Now, We have to say none. We start out do you know what the definition of definition is? Um To give a definition of something. I don't know. I don't know.
What would it be? The definition of definition is the act of representing portraying Or Um Graphically or verbally. That's the definition of definition. No. Since we are discussing again a biblical topic, Uh our definitions are formed by a biblical worldview.
And I want To be very, very clear. starting off here. Um That This topic tonight is not a salvation issue. It's not a salvation issue. It is, however, an issue that is troubled many, and has caused many to trouble me.
Uh well because Uh it's an issue of conscience, no. What I mean by that is, well, People will come And they'll want you to justify something. that you can't justify. In other words, they'll say, well, somehow If if they can get the pastor to say yeah, that's okay. then that'll ease their conscience.
But you see, then The pastor in good conscience can do that. when they're when they're not in the right. Mm-hmm. And this has been the case with uh this topic uh today of of burial of birses of cremation. No.
We're going to take a look at the definition of burial, and again, remember, we're going through. the biblical definition from the biblical definite uh dictionary. based upon the King James Bible. And so the definitions of burial to honour and to reverence the body and the memories of a loved one. A show of honor.
And dignity to the departed. The definition of the of cremation is a burning uh to consume by fire Finality and judgment And so Here We're going to start off with a short list.
Now, this is just a very, very short list, Ken. of Those that were honored by the by the giving of the locations of their burial in the Bible. And because, you know, I could spend half the program just reading names off and I don't want to do that. I'll give you about a dozen real quick. Abraham and Sarah, Genesis twenty-five, verses seven through ten.
Deborah, Genesis thirty five, verse eight Rachel, Genesis thirty five, nine and ten Miriam, numbers twenty, verse one, Moses, Jud now with Moses, Um the actual location of his body was never revealed, but he was Uh honored. By Giving Now A description of his burial not just just not where he was buried, okay. Uh, let me see. Moses uh Deuteronomy thirty four verses five and six Get in Judges eight thirty two. Sampson, and Manoah, judges sixteen, verse thirty and thirty one.
KING DAVID, first KINGS two ten. Job and First Kings two, thirty three and thirty four, Solomon, First Kings eleven forty three Reoboam first kings fourteen thirty one. Asa, 1 Kings 15, 24.
Now that's just a few.
Now that they were honored Bye. listing the locations of their burial. And so Here. We're going to start tonight. In 1 Corinthians CHAPTER six, VERSES nineteen and twenty What?
Know you not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost, which is in you. What you have of God. And you are not your own. For you are bought with a price Therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
Okay, so what what do you glean out of that? What is what's the message here? I'm still trying to get to it. That was First Corinthians. Oh yeah, first uh First Corinthians chapter six, verses nineteen and twenty.
Okay. Let me read this again.
Now just listen very carefully. Did you find it? Go ahead and read it. What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost?
Which is And you which ye have of God, and ye are not Your own. For ye are brought with a price, therefore, glorify God in your body and in your spirit. Which are gods. All right, you just proved all those people out there that thought you couldn't read, you just proved them wrong. Right, but now Yeah.
But here. Here is is the the Three points. Your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost. Two. Uh it is not your own.
It is not your own.
Okay. Uh here one of the things that um that, you know, I would often Tell what you know, all those years on the streets out in front of those bloody abortion mills preaching, and these women would say, It's my body, it's my choice. And I would say, That's not what God says. That's a lie. That's not what God says.
God says it doesn't belong to you, belongs to Him. What if he's not telling the truth? Right? They would just look at you with a Well look at confusion. on them.
Now Here Uh He goes on when he says, For you are bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body. And in your spirit, which were God's will, When the price that we were bought with as as Christians was the blood of Christ, wasn't it? Absolutely. And so now.
Here How how does that hold up to you when when you see these people You know, with these tattoos all over 'em. The Bible talks about not you don't not to take that and not to tattoo your body. Um what about when they have bases full of metal? Uh You know there's this guy Um He's a singer. He's a big, heavy, heavy guy.
His name is Jelly Donut or something. Jelly Roll, yes. Yeah. And he You know, he's he he's I believe he's a Christian, but he's not biblically literate. Mm-hmm.
And obviously he's he's gone and he's got tattoos all over his face. See had he been biblically literate, he never would have done that, would he? No, but maybe he found out about it after The fact. you know, not realizing that he wasn't supposed to do that.
Well, he can have those removed, but it's quite a process to do that, you know. to have those removed. But But here again That's an area because it is not Our bodies. No. I want to go over 1 Corinthians chapter 3.
In 1 Corinthians chapter 3. Just Oh. Here verses sixteen and seventeen. Go ahead and read verse sixteen and seventeen.
Okay. Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you. If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy, for the temple of God is holy. which temple ye are.
Okay, now. What do you think he's talking about? to defile the temple of God. Then God will destroy him. Can you give some Maybe examples of what that's talking about.
'Cause that goes right along with Hebrews chapter 12. It goes right along. It it's talking about in the defilement of the temple of God, what it what you are doing, is you're bringing dishonor You're bringing dishonor. To God. And will God tolerate being dishonored?
No, absolutely not. No, he won't.
Okay. And so that's what he's referring to here. And so I want to go now. Um And just just uh kind of imagine this, right? Let's just say, okay, remember, God made us in His image, didn't He?
We're the image of God. Mm-hmm. Let's say you go home. And you walk in the house End. You see He walked.
You walk outside and and you got a A burn pit out there, or just a grill out there out back. And here's your wife and your kids. And maybe Some other relatives. And they got a fire going. and they're pulling your pictures out and you're they're burning your pictures.
How would that make you feel? Not too good. Mm, not too good at all because it's your very, very image they're destroying, huh? Yeah. Okay, I want to take a look at now I hope your wife's not listening, and I didn't give her any ideas.
I'm gonna come home and all the pictures will be missing. Yeah. One one point I want to get across throughout this this message this week. Very important, very important.
So whether Whichever way you go. Whether you I'll choose Burial Or cremation. The important thing to remember is The person needs to be dead first. If it's a loved one. make sure they're dead before you cremate 'em or before you bury 'em.
Uh especially you Democrats. Remember that. What do you think, Kenny? Yeah. Yeah, absolutely.
Yeah. Let's let's go over to Um Second Kings I'm you know the problems I'm having tonight, don't you? Chapter 23, verses 14 through 20. I should be taking care of this this week, Lord's willing. I can hopefully Uh I might be able to take care of this this week.
2 Kings 23, verses 14 through 20. Yep. And he broke in pieces the images and cut down the groves. And he filled their places with the bones of men. Moreafter, the altar that was at Bethel in the high place, which Jeroboam the son of Nabet, who made Israel to sin, had made both that altar and the high place he break down and burned the high place, and stamped it into small power, and burned the grove.
And it's Josiah turned I'm sorry.
So He spied the sepulchres that were in the mount, and sent and took the bones out of the sepulchres, and he burned them upon the altar. and polluted it according to the word of the Lord, which the man of God proclaimed, who proclaimed these words. Remember that statement which the men of God proclaimed to proclaim these words? Then he said, What title is that that I see? And the men of the city told him, It is the sepulcher of the man of God which came from Judah.
and proclaim these things that thou hast done against the altar of Bethel. And he said, Let him alone for So let no man move his bones.
So they let his bones alone with the bones of the prophet that came out of Samaria. In all the houses also of the high places that were in the city, of Samaria which the kings of Israel had made to To provoke the Lord to anger. Josiah took away and did them according to the acts that he had done in Bethel. And he slew all the priests of the high places that were there, upon the altars, and he burned men's bones upon them. and returned to Jerusalem.
So What do you think that was all about? What do you think Josiah was doing? Hmm, I'm not sure. Was he Speaking ill of someone?
Well no It was an act of desecration. It's an act of desecration because of what these. these uh priests, these uh apostate priests did, okay? Uh they burned um children upon uh the altars. Uh, they offered up kids in uh These were Uh wicked men and then they when they find the sepulchre of the prophets and he said, Who are they?
And when they told him by the way, Remember that I told you to remember that verse and he said. Uh He he went and he said, According to the word of the LORD God which the man of God proclaimed, which who proclaimed these words, That was procla proclaimed Three hundred years prior, if you go to 1 Kings chapter 13. That was being fulfilled and that's what they were saying. If you go to 1 Kings 13. Verses one through three.
This is three hundred years prior to this, right? And behold, there came a man of God out of Judah, By the word of the LORD unto Bethel and Jeroboam, and stood by the altar to burn incense. And he cried against the altar in the word of the LORD, and said, Altar, altar, thus saith the LORD Behold, a child shall be born into the house of David. Josiah by name, and upon thee shall be he offer The priests of the high place that burnt incense upon the and the men's bones shall be burnt abondly.
So that, prophecy was made three hundred years before Josiah came even by called him by name. Yeah. and he burnt the bones, and it was the way The burning of the bones was a way of desecration. What what it meant to do that. You see when God burnt the bones and burnt them.
Like remember Achin? And it's do you remember what the sins of Achan was? No. Okay. The sense of aching when He had gone and stolen the treasures from the temples, And he had buried them, the loot that was taken upon him, and he buried them.
and the floor of his tent, and he covered him up. And Guess what? He didn't know anyone was watching.
Well, God was watching. and God let him know what he did. And so Uh, he w him and his whole family were brought out. And they were brought out and they were stoned to death, the whole family, which because they brought a plague upon. Israel for doing what they did.
But then after they were brought out, they they were burned, They burned their fat, they they Uh completely cremated the entire family. And now this was God's Doing So when God does it, it was a judgment. And So the What it means is that That That family will be forgotten.
Now when men Do it.
Okay. Yeah. It's it's done Uh to dishonor. It's done in in a manner of dishonor, okay? Uh two.
Oh. Whenever they dug up the bones, It was a form of dishonor. And so, Here now. I wanted to go over to Amos chapter two. By the way, There's one individual in all of Scripture That was denied a burial, denied the burial of like all the other kings.
He was denied the honor of a burial. Do you th who do you think that was? Um Would that be I'm not sure. I was just gonna guess, but might as well just have you tell me. I thought you knew more than that.
No, not really. Oh. Uh That was a fellow. whose name was Lucifer, but turned to Satan, And he's told over in Isaiah chapter 14 and Ezekiel 28. that that uh all the other kings were honored or being buried by having a burial place but him, that he was not going to be buried.
In fact, God was going to start a fire from within him. Oh. And he w he was going to burn from within And he was he would be changed, his form would be completely, totally changed. and he would not have a place where anyone could say this man was buried at this place, he would no no longer ever have that honor. But he he would dwell in a burning lake of fire.
Not good. And so now we're over Namos chapter 2, verse 1. Thus saith the LORD. For three transgressions of Moab, and and for four. I will not turn away the punishment thereof, because he burned the bones of the king of Edom unto Lyme.
And so but I will send a fire upon Moab, and it shall be devour the places of Kerloth. M Mobe and shall die with tumult, with shouting and with the sounds of the trumpet.
Well, The the reason that was again Uh was a way of of Totally Uh bringing total d dishonor and disgust upon uh and Here You had remember King Saul. what happened with them. They Uh They dug up his bones. And they burnt him. They b well, they burnt the whole family.
They burnt his him and his sons and then Um Um the Jews went and found their bodies and took em and found their bones, and gathered them all up and took them and buried them, give him a burial. 'Kay.
so that they would have some some honor.
So Again, it goes back to The biblical views of of the difference between What we're talking about here cremation. and burial. No. Here I want to go to Amos 6 verses 8 through 10. And we read Here The Lord God has sworn by himself.
The LORD the God of hosts, abhor Excellency of Jacob, and hate his palaces thereof. I will. deliver up the city with all that is therein, and it shall come to pass If there remain ten men in one house, that they shall die. and the man's uncle, Should take him up. And he shall burneth him to bring out the bones out of the house, and shall say unto him, that by the sides of the house is there yet any with ae, and he shall say no, Then shall he say, Hold thy tongue For we may not make mention of the name of the Lord.
of the Lord.
Okay. And so here the reason for that was If you go back to verse Uh chapter five. Have you offered, verse 25, have you offered unto me sacrifices and offerings in the Wilderness for forty years, O house of Israel. But you have borne the tabernacle of Malik, And chunks of your image is the star of your God which you made to yourselves. Therefore, will I cause you to go into captivity beyond Damascus, saith the Lord.
The name is the God of hosts. And that's why. He did to them what he did to 'em.
Okay. Because they They took up the ways in Malik. Mm-hmm. and they burnt their children.
Okay. And so Uh here If I go over to Ezekiel chapter twenty four, In Ezekiel. Chapter 24. Here uh we see the fury of the Lord caused the and the destruction Of the bloody city and that bloody city he's referring to is city of Jerusalem. which is about to be thrown into the cauldron of the Babylonian captivity, And I'm gonna have to Wet my whistle here for just a second.
This is the third time I'm preaching this today. I got cold lemon water and it tastes very good. There you go. I got warm coffee. Go ahead.
Well Let me start with Ezekiel twenty four verse eight. We read Then it might cause fury. They come up. to take vengeance. I have set her blood upon the top of a rock, that it should not be covered.
Therefore, see, God is really angry here with Jerusalem. He's very, very angry with Jerusalem. Therefore thus saith the LORD God, Woe to the bloody city I will even make a pile of Oh, for your For her grief. Great. Heap on the wood, kindle the fire, consume the flesh.
And spice it well, and let the bones be burnt, okay? Then set it empty upon the coals, See now see here when man does this it's to denigrate. When man does this is to denigrate when God does this It's always judgment. It's always judgment.
Now there's a difference here Because usually the judgment, like with Achan, and these others is like a permanent, but here Uh it's it's not God gives him time after time, he gives him an opportunity to repent, okay. And so here he goes and he says Then set it upon the the coals thereof, that the brass of it may be hot, and may burn and that the filthiness of it may be molten in it. and that the scum of it may be consumed. Can you tell that God is not happy here? Yeah, absolutely.
She hath wearied herself with lies. and her great scum went not forth out of her, Her scum shall be in the fire. And the filthiness is lewdness, Because I have purged thee, and thou wast not purged, thou shalt not be purged from thy filthiness any more. till I have caused my fury to rest upon thee.
So here Uh He's again, like I said, he's not real happy. uh with this and This Cremation here is a judgment. It's not a denigration. It's a judgment. And so Uh if we won over To uh I wanted to go over to Isaiah.
And just kind of bear with me a little bit folks here tonight. Yeah. Isaiah chapter 14. And in Isaiah chapter fourteen. I know where that's at, Kenny.
It's right after 13. Yeah, before 15, though. Yeah. Okay. It'll be.
Yeah. This is this is why we're on the radio. Uh And here I just want to read these. Thy pop is brought down to the grave, and the noise of thy vials The worm is spread under thee and the worms cover thee. How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning?
How art thou cut down to the ground which didst weaken the nations, For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, and I will exalt my throne above the stars of God. I will set an amount of the congregation on the sides of the north. I will ascend above the heights of the clouds I will be like the Most High yet thou shalt be brought down to hell to the sides of the pit, They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man? That made the earth to tremble, that kings did shake They did seek kingsdoms. that made the world as a wilderness and destroyed the cities thereof?
that opened not the house of his prisoners, And the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie in glory every one in his own house. but thou art cast out of the grave like an abominable branch and as the remnant of those that are slain thrust through with the sword, that go down to the stones of the pit as a carcass trodden underfoot. In other words, Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial. No. So he's telling Lucifer But just before he he becomes Satan, Yeah.
No, you're not going to get the honor. of a burial. like all of the other kings of the earth who You know, who have stones and say King so-and-so is buried here, or whatever, and people come to visit, not you. You're not going to get that. Um But then he he says all of them.
If you go over to Ezekiel Uh chapter 28. And in Ezekiel chapter 28.
Well, that's where he talks about well, I'm going to raise a fire from within you. And Actually The No. Though there's been completely false doctrines built on just these single verses Um Have you heard the Of the doctrine of annihilation, that those doctrines were built on simple single verse, two verses. Which the doctr do you know what the doctrine of annihilation is? No.
Well, those are those like Seventh day Advents and some others teach that That when you die you get judged. If you're not saved, then You simply are burnt like the fat of the lamb you become smoke, And you're gone and you're forgotten. You just cease to exist. There is no lake of fire. You do not spend eternity in torment.
That's what they teach. That's not typically accurate. Nabaya. By uh oh oh, but see That's what sinners would rather hear, right? Yes, of course.
Yeah. Well and so here I just want to let me take you over here. By the multitude of thy mercies they have they have filled thee with the mist with violence, and thou hast sinned. Therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God, and I will destroy thee, O covering a cherub in the midst of the stones of fire. Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty.
Thou hast corrupted my thy wisdom, By reason of thy brightness I will cast thee to the ground I will lay thee before kings, and they may behold thee. Thou hast defiled My sanctuary, by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffic, therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee. it shall devour thee, and I will bring to thee to ashes upon The earth In the sight of all of them that behold thee. And they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee thou shalt be. A terror in every shape of shalt thou be any more.
So They built this false doctrine on on those two verses uh and But he's Satan does not go out of existence. He changes form. Remember. he was still Lucifer. When when this was spoken to him.
No. Uh so when he was Lucifer Um that you know He was the Most beautiful creation that God had made. Did you know that? Yeah. In fact that he describes it here it says But the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Son of man, take up a Uh Lamentation upon the king of Tyrus.
And say unto him, Now This is Lucifer, the king of Tyrus. Uh if you You look back You have it's dealing with two people. The Prince of Tirus here Um Son of man say unto the prince of Tyrus, And That was the That was actually I wanted to say, Hillary. That was actually Jezebel's Nephew. Uh Her father was Belle.
And so He goes on, he says, Um behold, thou Thou art wiser than no, I want to go back. I should that's yeah, let me down here. Yeah. Well Thou hast been in Eden, the garden of God every precious stone was thy covering thee. Sardis, the topaz, the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, the jazz jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, the carbuncle, the gold, the workmanship.
He goes on he says, Thou art the anointed chair of the coveth and I have set thee in the On the west, upon the holy Thou wast upon the holy mountain of God, thou walked upon the and down in the midst of the stones of fire, Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day thou was created until iniquity was found in thee.
So He was the most beautiful creature. His vesture was actually made of diamonds and rubies and precious stones, Do you think that has something to do with By the way, And you always see this picture on the Garden of E Eden with um this serpent wrapped around a a tree and looking at Eve. Eve's standing there looking at this with a big smile. Her and Adam was standing there naked, right? That's what you see in these these pictures.
Mm-hmm. Well, no. He didn't have he was walking on two legs, He was in A maiden and the image of like a man, but he had the vesture Uh Yeah. Again, precious stones, and he was the most perfect right now. what would attract the attention of the second most beautiful creature that was Eve.
Eve was a prototype. She was the most second most beautiful creature. What would attract the attention of the second most beautiful More than the first, right? Mm-hmm. And so Boy, it's a good thing you and I aren't beautiful.
Yeah. We don't have to worry about that at all, do we? No, yeah. I mean it it's a double-edged sword, you know. They cut you both ways, either way.
There's always a silver uh silver lining to yeah, yeah.
Well there certainly is.
Okay. No maintenance to ugly. No, not at all. It's pretty easy. Yeah who I remember this song we used to sing as kids at Brings it back to me.
U, G, L, Y, you ain't got no L up by you, ugly. You know, Men and women have totally differed Senses of humor, right? Oh, yeah. Yeah. Oh the men We we sat around the men Casting ugly jokes, everybody's laughing.
You don't think our wives would appreciate those? My wife tells me to keep my opinions to myself. Hmm. But anyhow. And so I wanted to let me go.
Oh, okay, here. We're gonna go over to 1 Corinthians 15. We're going to take a look at what the symbolism in Burial is.
Now, which we know it's an honoring thing. But we know that the symbolism In the burning Okay. It means it's finality. The symbolism there is finality. The symbolism Here in the the burial And we'll just pick it up here Uh in verse Awake to righteousness, and sin not, for some have not.
the knowledge of God, I speak this to your saint.
Some man will say How are the dead raised up, and with what body do they come? thou fool? that which thou sowest Is it not quickened except it die? In other words, you take a. A kernel of corn.
And That kernel of corn was has to die before new life can spring forth from it. And this is what he's referring to as our bodies in burial. The symbolism is that through that, to our death, new life springs forth. He said. And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but the bare grain.
it may be chance of wheat or of some other grain, but God giveth it a body as hath pleased him, and to every saved his own body. All flesh is not the same flesh. There is some kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds. There are also celestial bodies and bodies terrestrial. But the glory of the celestial is one The glory of the terrestrial is another.
There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, Another glory of the stars. for one star differeth from another in glory.
So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption. It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory, it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power. It is sown in a natural body, it is raised in a spiritual body. There is a natural body and there is a spiritual body.
And so it is written. The first man Adam was made a living soul, the last Adam was made the quickening spirit. How be it? that was not the first which is spiritual, but that which is natural, and afterward that which is spiritual. The first man is of the earth, earthy.
The second man is of the Lord from heaven. Let's see. As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy, and as the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. As we have been borne the image of the earthly, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
Now this I say, brother, That flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God. neither does corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I show you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but We shall all be changed in a moment in the twinkling of an eye in the last trump. for the trumpet shall sound and the dead shall be raised incorruptible.
and we shall be changed, for this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
So when the corruptible shall have put on an incorruption. And the mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be. brought to pass the saying that It is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is in the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us victory through the Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved, therefore, Brethren, be steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord. For as much as you know that your Labor is not in vain in the Lord. Amen.
Uh so The analogy of burial is that of moving from being a Mortal to immort uh to immortal. From that our For those of the saints of the Lord, for all the saints.
Now, here. What a go. Here for one minute. And Uh do a little commentary. No.
I want to be perfectly, perfectly clear that Cremation is not it is in no way uh hinders God's ability to resurrect our bodies.
Okay? a saved born again Christian No matter how Uh you have died, okay. Uh Here No matter how your body perished God is going to resurrect you.
Okay. Uh he's gonna resurrect All of the saints.
So Uh it's not a salvation issue and it is in no way will Uh Cremation hinder The resurrecting of the atoms of Born again believers. And so Here, but So you stay within. Then what's the worry?
Well, here's the worry, okay. Uh When God judges us, He judges us. Not just on what we do But why we do it? Right. And so, in other words, if you're One who Let's say have no knowledge of what we've covered here tonight.
If you had no knowledge of this, all you know is that a lot of people get cremated and Uh, it's a lot cheaper than burial and Therefore Aw. Nobody ever told me that cremation was a sin.
Well, The Bible doesn't teach that cremation is a sin. It taught exactly what I was saying here. that the w burning was done two different ways by God and by Uh Man?
Okay. But here Of course that would be what they did to dig up the bones and do what they did. But now Uh was it was it a violation, it was a sin. But What happens is If you have no knowledge of doing wrong, God takes that. Yeah, into Uh Well, it when it comes to judging you know he'll into judgment.
Now, there's going to be a Bema C judgment. A Bema seat judgment. And if you have knowledge of everything that we just talked about, remember. And and here it comes to be a conscience thing, too. Um, you know, again, I have people coming to me Wanted me to justify, to tell him it's okay, it's okay.
What do you think about cremation? It's okay, okay. Uh and I and I won't tell them that.
Okay. No. Uh Do do you think that if if You cannot afford a burial. And so the only thing you you have left is cremation, do you think? God is going to judge you harshly on that?
Um probably not. No, no, I can't imagine that.
So What I'm what I'm saying here is that You have to go by your conscience. I Again, the Bible makes it very clear that we're honored in burial.
Okay, but We're not in cremation. And that Burial is obedience to God. Burial is an obedience to God. Uh and And there's no place in Scripture, no place in Scripture Does it condone CREMATION Mm-mm.
Okay. And so Here Uh that's that's, you know, I think where you're gonna have to leave it because I know people uh there are probably some people listening to me tonight. That are kind of upset with me. People get upset with you when you tell them what they need to hear instead of what they. They want to hear.
Mm-hmm. And so Again, God looks upon our hearts. We're judged not by what we do, but why we do it. And Again, All of that's going to be at the BMS C judgment will either Receive re awards rewards Or we'll lose rewards. one or the other.
And And I think being obedience in burial, if you could afford burial, I definitely would go the way of burial. At the same time, uh if you can't afford a burial and you've left it and said, you know, cremate me Your body's going to get resurrected and you're going to be with the saints in heaven just like all the all the rest of them. Yeah, you're not I mean If you if you died in a house fire, you're not doomed because you didn't get buried, you know. Right, not just that, it's a Uh Here You know, take a look at Nero Caesar. Lit up his garden at night by would with human torches.
Christians. And they were martyred. They were martyred. In fact, I believe just today in F in Michigan, Where that that nut case uh attacked that that church there and killed those people and I think one of them I believe one of them died in the fire. Yeah, he set it on fire as well.
Yeah. Yeah, and this you know, that's what Uh How many how many churches have been Shut up this year alone. Yeah, there's a lot. I don't think it's that high, but it's certainly recently it's. It's been averaging almost one a week.
I know in in in our church, you know, And uh we have to uh We are, because our county sheriff come out and told us You need every man every man is able these to be because of, you know, w you may have noticed we're kind of a high profile church. And um you know the just on our marquee out front, you know, our stand that we stand. Remember what Hillary Hillary Clinton just came out and said? That All the world's troubles are caused by white Christian men. Jesus was on.
Just been interviewed, came right out and said all of the world's troubles are caused by white Christian men. Unbelievable. Yeah, you don't think old Hilary's getting worried, do you? Yeah. Yeah, well, I mean We got one indictment already.
Let's see where this goes. And And y you know, a lot of people were saying that it's a Uh little too little too late that this should have been happening sooner, but they've got to make sure that everything is in line, everything is in place, otherwise the cases will get thrown out. You can't just jump on stuff like this. knee-jerk reactions to Try to get things out there. You know, it's got to be done right.
It's got to be done by the book. Otherwise, there won't be the accountability that we all hope for. Yeah, but you got a statute of limitations on these some of these things and and you you gotta move before those statutes are uh Now, why do you think that's the only thing that's not? But another thing, though, too, whether there's statute of limitations or not, but if they don't have a strong enough case. They're not going to bring it for Because if there's any way that they can see that the they can get off on this, then it's a political loss.
Because then you were trying, then all of a sudden it looks like you were trying to. Uh stick it to your political opponents and And they beat the case, you know.
So you were in the wrong for doing that, and you know, then it then it backfires on you.
So, I mean, it's got to be played. Um Kinda s very strategically. Oh, they said there was no way that they were going to get indictment in Colby in a Virginia grand jury. They but they did. Yes, they did.
But now, here's the thing. Why do you think You're not hearing anything from Bolton. Why do you think you haven't heard an indictment on Bolton? Because uh they're still working on it. He's singing like a canary.
Either that, or maybe they're waiting and trying to see what Comey does. And uh and if they can get him to start singing as well. I I Wood Not be real surprised. Uh Do you firm? If they didn't make a that if Comey wasn't d declared mentally incompetent, he's been saying some very, very strange s strange things, okay.
Uh uh out there. He he reminds me having delusions. Um and so After that You got Brennan and Clapper. Mm-hmm. Boy, did they have film after film after film and not just that Here Chris Ray It came out out of the FBI's own files.
that they had two hundred and seventy five yeah uh agents in there invoking Um That riot. Yeah. Okay, so Yeah.
So There you go. That's lighted Congress. Yeah. Oh, every time I watched Chris Ray, he just sat there with that little smirk, and he lied after lie. And knowing we don't have I will never be indicted.
Uh because We own the Justice Department.
Now he doesn't. Mhm. And so And you take Chris might be starting to sing a little bit too. They're putting the heat on him. I just watched him.
Boy Jim Jordan, really And and then John Kennedy, they really w went after him. Yeah, they should all be starting to take vocal lessons and start singing like canaries. Yep. Anyhow, folks, So all of that, let's take it back to what we talked about tonight. And that all goes back with deciding Whether you want to be buried or cremated.
Uh Folks, I would definitely if you could afford burial, I would definitely choose burial. I absolutely, without a doubt, Then Uh but the important thing like I said before, make sure Before you put a loved one, either cremate or bury, make sure they're dead. And here. Yes. And to double check on those things.
Yeah. Yeah, that's very important. You know, I mean, we laugh at that, but we're living in a very strange world today. I mean, I know. Stranger things have happened.
Yeah. Yeah. Now I'm I I I never know what to think when we come in there, especially on a Friday night. There in the studio, weird things happen and and I'm never Uh um I never know what to expect, but anyhow For all of you, the bottom line is think about that uh Just this past year all of the people that you know have died. The movie stars, Jimmy Swagger died, uh What's his name?
Uh the movie actor, the one that played with Paul Newman in uh Robert Redford. Robert Redford. I mean, just so many have died just this year. And folks, every time you turn around, uh You're gonna die. You're gonna die.
And what happens, are you prepared? Are you ready? And because the time of your departure is not your call. It's not your call and I just had Someone tell me, a lady just say, well, we we probably have ten more years. Uh meaning her and I.
We probably have ten more years and I I wouldn't say that. Because again, that ten years is not our call. And in fact, it kind of tells you in the Bible not to say that, not to do that. Yeah, I mean, it could be ten days, could be ten seconds, could be a hundred and ten years. You don't know.
The bottom line, have you made your salvation sure? If not, Do it. Go to the Gospel of John, chapter 3, read it, and do it, folks. You must be prepared. Because boy, I'm gonna tell you No.
There's you go into heaven or hell. There's no other way, not in between. And if you make the wrong mistake, wrong choice, You cannot undo it. You cannot undo it. Forever is a very, very long time.
And so I know we're coming up to the end of the program. Where we how much time do I have? Just over a minute.
