Good evening, and welcome to another edition of What's Right, What's Left, and this Sixth Day Of July 20th. Twenty-five. I'm Radio Pastor Ernie Sanders, and indeed, this is the voice of the Christian Resistance. And tonight I have my faithful and very capable Okay. Allegedly.
All righty, there you go. You hear him.
Okay, that's nothing other than Kenny. Hey, Kenny. Good evening, Pastor.
Well, we're ready to roll tonight.
Now here's the the uh Title of the message. Twice born, once dead, once born, twice dead. Do you know what that what doctrine that is? It's called the doctrine of Regeneration or of the new birth.
Okay. We're going to start tonight by reading Verses 1 through 3 out of the Gospel of John chapter Catherine, excuse me. There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. The same came to Jesus by night and said unto him, Rabbi. We know that thou art a teacher come from God, for no man can do the miracles that thou dost except God be with him.
No, he did he did two things here. One, He honors um The Lord Jesus by referring to him as rabbi or teacher or master, And then He tells him that no man can do the miracles he's done except for God be with him. And so Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Why do you think Jesus answered that way? Um I guess kind of laying it out that, hey, this is what you need to do.
Um To see the kingdom of God. 'Cause not everyone will. You're right, but you say remember Nicodemus didn't ask the Lord Jesus how do I see the kingdom of God okay But Jesus answered that as he perceived what he was thinking. He was coming in, and so Jesus just answered him and said, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
So he kind of just cut to the chase there. Right. I mean, he knew what he was thinking all along. And, you know, we see this happen. Several places in the scripture.
Where they come to the Lord Jesus. And mostly the Pharisees And Sadducees are are going to try to Uh Put something over on Jesus or put him in a position where he can't give a right answer. But he already knows what they're going to say. And he kind of wrecks their weekend on this.
Now, Do you think, uh do you think Nicodemus had Any thoughts? Do you think he had any knowledge at all about the the doctrine of regeneration? Um, he he should. I mean, would wouldn't that be uh Kind of um Touched on in the Old Testament? Yeah, in fact it was touched on In a lot of places For example, if we go over to Is it Ezekiel chapter thir eighteen verse thirty one Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby you have transgressed and make you a new heart and a new spirit.
For why will you die, O house of Israel? and then He tells you in Isaiah Chapter One. Verse eighteen Come now, and let us reason together. Um The Lord, though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be white as snow. And although they be redded like crimson, they shall be as wool.
So He's referring to that doctrine of regeneration right there, isn't he? Mm-hmm. And so Here.
Now We've gone this far. Let me go back to why I wrote this message. Today's sermon is in. response to a very growing heresy Regarding the doctrine of soteriology, do you know what soteriology is? No.
It's the doctrine of salvation.
Now the heresy is that What is known today, you've heard of this, as universal salvation. At a time in our history when you know biblical illiteracy is is at the highest it's ever been, the apostasy being preached far, far more than the truth is today.
So what makes this false doctrine so desirable? The fool no longer has to say to himself, There is no God. I mean, even a fool, it's. And w when when you look all around at creation, it's hard to say there's no creator, huh? Oh, seriously, yeah.
And so I mean even this even a fool, this dawns in him. After all the all the evidence of course of creation was all around us now. He can say, God has forgiven all sins. and abolished hell and the lake of fire Why? Because He heard some apostate T V preacher Um preaching a a message that Finally, Our sins have now been forgiven.
This is again the doctrine. Of universal salvation, it's not a It's not a new doctrine some of the heresies of old preach this. And that is that everybody gets saved. Nobody is condemned. No, and then what's the point of there being a hell?
Well Remember what the Pope said that the old the last Pope Before he died, he said that, in his opinion, He didn't believe there was a hell. Yeah. It's so ridiculous. I mean, you might expect that from just the average person on the street, but the Pope of all people.
Well,. The apostasy. We're living in the days of the great apostasy, just like you said it would be, you know, in in um 1 Timothy chapter 4 and 2 Timothy chapter 3. We're we're there. I mean it it it clearly spells out literally What's happening to the the way things are today?
I don't know what's on. I got something. Again. That tickle in my throat, I dunno. What it is.
Maybe it's a subconscious tickle. Nito, wet your whistle. Yeah. I I have lemon water. And lemon water will take care of it.
Uh here But what about the um The prosperity preachers, they're preaching the prosperity doctrine. Um And now if if you're going to get to heaven anyway, don't worry about About that, just live the good life now. Grab all you can, get it. For yourself. You know, it's about you.
Yeah, I mean, you're selfish now, yeah. Yeah, that's what Joel Olstein says. Live the good life now. Forget about this place of treasures in heaven. You get there eventually, right?
I mean, everybody's going to heaven. God is a loving, loving God.
Well, I mean, if you're following these prosperity preachers, you better live the good life now because you're not going to get it later. Yeah. Yeah. T. D.
Jake says, I want my stuff now. I don't want to wait. And then. Uh Remember what Gloria Olstein said. The only thing God Once It's first of all, she says it's not about God, it's about us.
Any case, point of God finds out, huh?
Well, they wouldn't be any more backwards than that. Yeah. He created us to serve him, did he not? I mean, we were created for his glory, not vice versa. Exactly.
And so she says that What God wants for all of us is that we be healthy, wealthy, very wealthy.
Okay. Uh I don't think that's what the Bible Teaches. I must have missed that scripture. Yeah. Uh, that part about uh Richmond, it's where he says it's easier for a A camel to fit to the eye of a needle, and for a rich man to get into heaven.
And Joe Osteen says, No, everybody should be rich. God wants us all to be rich. Kinda means he doesn't want us all to get to heaven, huh? Yeah. And so Here it out today.
So they're they're teaching this False doctrine.
Now I've had these people approach me. wanted me to give them a platform, to give them air time Uh So Do they even know who you are? Like, well, you're not going to do that. Yeah, well, you see, they're taking. Their hopes is that there's people out there Uh that I I had a fellow one time come up to me And I mentioned this several times.
He wanted me to. Help him get the purpose driven life books into the prisons. And I told them those things have filled From cover to cover, that Rick Warren's book is filled with very well-calculated. Not just errors. Yeah.
uh deception, very well calcul deception all through it. And I said you best best thing you could do is get rid of those things. And so here Uh what he did, he actually put his hands over his ears. He said, I won't receive that. I know what I want to believe.
I know what I want to believe. And there are a lot of people out there that are like that. They. Yeah. That's why you have so many perversions of the Bible.
You know, you can go and they'll provide. And this is what the prosperity Church does, remember Rick Warren? He provided eleven different venues of worship. You know, you come in any way you want it, you know, we'll provide it. You know, as long as you support it, we'll provide it.
Okay. And what they do, these prosperity churches, they'll literally go into an area. And they'll They'll take uh polls, they'll and uh talk to people. And Find out what they want to hear. What is it you want to hear?
Okay? And then they'll provide what they want to hear. You know, as long as you. you know, put money in the offering plate, we'll provide that. And that's what they call the prosperity gospel.
Okay. Um Here's so I remember Um Watching Kenneth Copeland. One time he actually held the Bible up And He said this is God's Word. You can take this and you can make good. God produce.
In other words, you can shake God down. You got His Word here. And you say, all right, God, here, I got it right here in your word. You got to keep it. You got to make me rich.
And this is what can a copy.
Now, do you think that there are A lot of biblically illiterate people out there That have got no idea what the Bible teaches, but since this guy's supposed to be a preacher. And that's what they want to hear.
Okay. And so how do they do this too?
Well But they take him Uh Versus They s they separate the they'll pull verses out and They'll use these words to take them out of context and distort the meaning. Right. And so Remember, whatever a verse is taken out of context, it becomes what? A pretext, huh? Yeah.
And so Uh You know, this is just amazing. What is um These prosperity preachers will preach today. It's it's an And so this is the acceptance of this universal salvation heresy. Um is growing. That's what people many of them Want to hear.
Now, our job is to preach to what people need to hear, not what they want to hear, huh? Absolutely. I want to go back to where we were in John chapter 3. But now I want to go over to Starting with verse fourteen.
Well no, verse fifteen.
Now That so whoever believeth In him should not perish, but have eternal life.
Now he says, whosoever believeth in him, right? Does that say everybody will have eternal life? No, that says whoever believes in him. I mean, it's literally spelled out.
Okay, so for God so loved the world there you go. I'll take this verse and I'll isolate this verse. You have it right there. You see, God loved the world. God loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever Believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
All right, so. What do you think it means to whoever believeth Uh what what do the these people say that that means whoever believeth upon the Lord. Um they probably They probably uh misinterpret that into uh whoever believes what I'm saying We'll go to heaven.
Well, actually what they're they say is that they to acknowledge that Christ existed, to acknowledge the existence of the of Christ, that's believing upon the Lord. But is that what the Bible teaches? Believing upon the Lord is the... That's not what it means. You have to follow Christ.
You can't just bu you can't just acknowledge that he existed.
Well You have to, when it says, believeth upon him, you have to believe that God became man, became flesh, right?
Okay? And that. He was crucified He placed upon the cross, he died, he descended into Hades, he defeated death and hell, he rose again on the third day, and he now sits at the right hand of the Father. He sacrificed his holy blood. For our sins.
Yes.
So, what he did, he died a substitutionary death. Uh he was the only one that that could have done what he did. Yeah. Okay. He did for us what we could never do for ourselves, huh?
Yeah, because none of us are pure.
So he goes in and he says, Now listen to this next verse, because again, this will be another one of those verses that they'll isolate. In other words, you know, every now and then you'll get something with just one Bible verse on it. And then you'll get some commentary. For God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world. But that the world through him might be saved.
Right there, you have it. It tells you right there. Same thing over in Luke 9, right? See, God didn't send his son to condemn, but that the whole world, the whole world will be saved.
Okay, so now. There you go, you got that verse. You hear what it says now though. Here I can take you to another verse where it says that. He will complete uh the good word w the work which he started.
There you go, they've got a they'll add to that now. Uh he goes um He that believeth in him is not condemned, but he that believeth not is condemned already.
Now they won't put that verse out there. No, they won't say that one. They'll just kind of skip right over that. Because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation that Light is coming to the world, and men Love darkness rather than light, and be uh Because Their deeds were evil.
For every one that doeth evil hateth the light. Neither cometh to the light lest his deeds should be reproved. Then Here If you go to verse uh Uh thirty six. He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life. He that believeth not on the Son, shall not see life, but the wrath of God abideth upon him.
Now those verses they won't put up they'll isolate these verses here. And then they'll give you a false commentary on them. And so And then I want to go over to 1 Corinthians chapter 3. And in First Corinthians chapter 3, We read verses starting with verses 10 through 15. According to the grace of God, which is given Unto me as a wise master builder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereupon.
But let every man Uh Take heed how he buildeth thereupon. For no other foundation can be Get a note for Other foundation can no man lay. Other than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
Now, if any man builds upon this foundation, gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, and stumble, what do you think that means? Uh you build upon this foundation gold uh silver and precious stones, wood, hay, and stubble. Um Well, if if Jesus Christ is your foundation, then you can build upon it, but without Jesus Christ as your foundation, I don't think I don't think it's gonna last.
Well, he he's talking about works, your works. Your works are either uh gold, silver, and precious stones, or your works your Um uh would hate his double.
Now he c he says in the next verse Every man's work shall be made manifest, for the day shall Declare it. it because it shall be revealed by fire, And the fire shall try every man's work of what Uh sword. It is, no. Here What it's referring to Is your works. In other words, What you've done.
If if you if your works Costs you a lot. If you're worse, Um caused for you to end up being thrown in jail, beaten, Um threaten, you know, if if people attempt to try to kill you. For your works, okay. That's being tried by the f the fire here. The fire is what the persecution is referring to.
And so if if you say okay Uh I go out and and Well, for example, all those years we've been preaching out the bloody abortion mills. Uh the pro-lifers, many of them end up in jail.
Okay, I've been arrested several times. A lot of them end up getting big time under the Yeah. Biden regime, and some of them still in in prison. In fact, We got one today. I just was talking to today.
Still in jail. Been in there two years. and hasn't had a trial yet. And he's he's trying to get out Uh he's trying to contact the um President Trump But anyhow So when it costs you That's like wood uh or Gold silver. and and precious stones.
So When you take gold, silver, and diamonds, and you put them under a fire What happens to 'em? It purifies 'em. Yeah, they get pure, okay. But if you take wood, hay, and stubble and you put it under the fire, what happens to it?
Okay, so now Uh What would you consider to be like wood hay or stubble? Because he's talking about works. Um Maybe just kinda like uh Surface. You know, like anything like on the surface, nothing too deep, you know, like uh like saying you'll do things and then not actually following through. You know, it sounds nice, you know, but you don't actually follow through, so it it ends up being nothing.
I think those kind of works would be the wood. Hay in stubble, where like that would just you know burn up because it it leads to nothing. What right.
So you're having uh I had I've had situations where I've had people I had one person up one time tell me, You know, I believe in what you're doing, Pastor, but I'm not called to that. I'm only called to prey.
Well, I noticed something about these people that kept telling me we're only called to pray. And that is, they do least of that too. They don't do because the people that are going out. and getting beaten and getting arrested and jailed. Uh they they have a much greater reason to pray, you know.
But so you have substance Like neo neo evangelicalism. It's a it's, you know, s s Symbolism over substance. Yeah. And um In other words You talk about um You write it to these people, and they say, Well, I attend this church, and they'll tell you. How big the church is.
They'll tell you. That our church And and just about one hundred percent of the times they're actually corporations. But we have A a bookstore? A big library. We got a lot of different.
We got movie theaters. We got. Yeah, we have. Yeah. And this is.
And so they associate themselves with the uh building. There there's one out there I used to I'm on the catenary that actually has not only A pool Uh but they have a nine hole golf course. I'm surprised they don't have a casino, too. Yeah, well Actually s there are some out there Today Uh Some of those churches have got bars in the basement. Huh.
And um And so In fact, I got an off Article I just had this article here and I just set it aside about and I think we talked about it last week. Uh Here some of the churches and United Methodist Church were They were Using dropping the F-bomb from the pulpit. What? Yeah. And now see, so they've they've gone you know, all out.
And remember I when I said, uh, President Trump really needs to apologize. He never should have done that. And so now they can say, Hey, the Pres if the President can do it, we can do it too. They're they're justifying this. Yeah, he's got to hold himself to a higher standard.
Yeah, these are apostate churches. And so he goes on to say If any man's work Uh abide. which he hath built thereupon he shall receive a reward If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss, but he himself shall be saved yet by fire. Listen to that. Here you go.
What ab what is it about this verse that might give these people that believe in universal salvation uh that might give them Reason to say right here, you see, here's proof, right?
Well, because it's it's in a sense saying that. you'll still be saved. Um, but you won't have the rewards. You know, like like the the extra rewards that you would if you had all the good works to go along with it. Right.
But you see but they're not going to tell you that part. No, the the point that he's making is, first of all, You have to be saved. In other words, He's telling you you don't lose you can't lose your salvation. But in order Uh For that to be real, you have to have salvation to begin with, right? Yes.
And so they're saying that what they'll try to tell you is it's universal salvation. Is now everyone's saved. Everyone gets saved now. And it doesn't matter what you do, you're still saved. You'll always be saved.
And. Go live the good life. Right. These are some very serious Heretics. And so here I want to move on now.
Over The two um John chapter five. In John chapter five. And Verse. Twenty four and twenty five. Verily, verily I say unto you.
He that heareth my words and believeth on him that set me hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation. But is Passed from death into life. Verily, verily I say unto you, The hour is coming when And now is when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God, and they shall hear Shall live. And so here though Uh There's no condemn condemnation in those and only those that believe on the Lord Jesus Christ Uh the false teachers uh profess that all people believe that Jesus existed, therefore all will be free of condemnation. Again, they're using that to.
Believing on means that you believe that he existed, that there was a Jesus, okay. And in that that gives you Red justifies you justify through that alone. Yeah. So if we go over to Uh Ephesians Chapter four And in Ephesians chapter 4 Verses thirty through thirty two. And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby you are sealed until the day of redemption.
Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamour and evil speaking be put away from you with all malice, and be you kind one to another, tender hearted, forgiving, one another, even as God, for Christ's sake, has forgiven you.
Okay, so What is it there? What can I Uh take And Take that verse out. Place it by itself, separate it, separate. Uh just one long Bible verse. And how can they use that Bible verse try to to Justify Their their false doctrine of universal salvation.
Just be kind to each other. That's all you need to do. Be kind to one another, tender, forgiving one another, even as God. For Christ hath forgiven you. Hmm.
So their message is that they're that that he's speaking to all mankind. Mm-hmm. Okay. No, The reason you have over two hundred perversions of the Bible out there today is Uh, because they you can find one that that will teach just whatever it is you want to believe. Not what you need to hear, what you want to hear.
Again, exactly. That's what makes the prosperity gospel Um So desirable for people out there. And dangerous. Very, very dangerous. The.
Oh. The wolves the wolves are fleecing the flock. They're playing off their biblical illiteracy. They're playing off their greed. And so And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby.
You are sealed until the day of redemption.
So now over. In Ephesians. Chapter one We read Over in verses thirteen and fourteen. Here. In whom ye also Trusted After that you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation and whom Also, after that you believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise.
Which is the earnest of your inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession until the praise of his glory.
So. We're seeing this one thing Uh The sealer Is the Lord Jesus Christ. The seal is the Holy Spirit.
Okay, so um That other group of people that teach that you can lose your salvation. Uh They don't have much trust in the Holy Spirit then.
Well Not only that, but it it but it starts out if you read to the beginning of that. He tells you, List I'll read it to you. Blessed be God the Father. Of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us up with all spiritual bless in heaven. The places In Christ.
In other words, Your salvation is kept in heaven. The very first uh spiritual blessing you can receive.
So in order for you to lose it now, there are some people who say, Well, You can't lose it, but you can give it away. No, you can't. You can't give it away because you don't own it. Value. It's yours to give, yeah.
Right. I mean if you could lose your salvation, you would lose your salvation. All it would take is one cent, huh? Unfortunately, yeah. Yeah.
Unfortunately that's not the case though.
So here Do you think that God the Father would go ahead and allow You and me, in our incompetency, Uh To be Well To squander the blood of his son. Right. The most precious substance that ever existed. Was the blood of Christ, huh? Yeah.
And do you think he would allow you and me to Like you said. Uh no. Just squander it. Yeah, no, not at all. No.
And so Here, if we um I want to go over.
Well, let's go back to verse to. Verse thirty. And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God How do you how do you think you can grieve the Holy Spirit? Um I don't know. Gary.
First of all, You please the Holy Spirit with obedience He gives you the show in you. Disobedience uh Displeases the Holy Spirit, or grieves the Holy Spirit now.
Okay. Here We're told to be doers of the word not just hearers only, deceiving our own selves. deceiving our own selves.
So Here now Uh if let's just say That There's things you know you should do. But you don't do it. Yeah. Okay. Uh Let's just say that you're you're lukewarm.
Let's just say this, that That uh You you're hearing people mocking God. And you just sit there and and you don't say anything. You're quiet when you should speak out, right? Yep. Uh Let's just say that here You talk a good game, but you don't back it up.
Absolutely. Uh If we go over, let's just say to The Book of Romans. In the book of Romans, chapter 12, we read this. Therefore, brother, By the mercies of God that you present your bodies a living sacrifice wholly acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. In other words, we use these bodies that God gave us to do The works for the Lord and obedience to God, huh?
Mm-hmm. if we just use our bodies too. Uh Please ourselves. And that's what the prosperity preachers, you know, are telling you to do. Right?
Mm-hmm. And to uh so that grieves the Holy Spirit. Yeah, when you grieve the Holy Spirit Will that Holy Spirit grieve you back? Um, yeah.
Okay. Who's had the most experience when it comes to grieving? Um, I would say probably God.
Well, the yeah, the Holy Spirit. You're right. I want to go over to 1 Peter chapter 1. And in 1 Peter chapter 1 Verses 4 and 5 to an inheritance Incorruptible and undefiled that fadeth not away, Reserved in heaven for you.
Okay. Now, here, corruptible seed only generates. Glory that is um Very soon fades away. What kind of glory would. would something w would be the kind that uh very soon fades away.
Um, maybe kind of boasting and bragging and something like that. Yeah, like these Emmy Awards or whatever. Yeah. They very quickly they fade away, huh? And so But he goes on to say Who are kept by the power of God.
Through faith, it is salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
Okay, so now here What we're talking about, we are kept By the Well Uh How limited is God's power It's unlimited.
So we are kept by unlimited power, right? If the power is unlimited Can limited power prevail against unlimited power? Yeah. Okay, so Who is kept who now he's keeping one Is he keeping those That have been born twice. And died once, dead once?
Yes.
Yeah. Yeah, not the other way around, not the dead twice. Right. So And then I want to go now. Over to Matthew chapter seven.
Now, this really. kind of puts a throws a monkey wrench into They're false doctors, so they'll avoid that. But Here if we go to Matthew chapter 7. and raid thirteen and fourteen. Enter you in at the straight gate.
For wide is the gate, and broad is the way that leadeth to destruction and many there be in which go in their end. Because straight is the gate, and narrow is the way which leadeth into life, and few there be that find it.
So He's telling you That everybody gets saved or be few. Get saved.
Well, I mean, if you get saved because most will probably enter the wide gate, the easy. way, not the not the way that's going to be narrow and tough and And har and harder. Absolutely. They'll go the the easy they'll take the easiest way, the the way with uh less resistance, right? Yep.
Symbolism over substance. Then we read this in verse 21. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven. But he that doeth the will. Of my Father which is in heaven.
Mm-hmm. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, Have we not prophesied to thy name, and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works. And then I will profess unto them. I never knew you.
Depart from me, you that work iniquity.
So when he tells them I never knew you.
Okay, what is what is he saying? about what they have to say. Um He he's saying that you you didn't obey my father and you didn't do what I asked you to do.
So it's your pleas for. for Lord, Lord are invalid. He's telling them what you did, you did for your own glory. You've received your reward by the praise of man, huh? Mm-hmm.
And he said, I never knew you You were never Never about me. You didn't believe in me. Yeah, it was all about yourself. Yeah. And then we go over here.
This is another one that puts a Uh a real crampin. The false teaching out there today of this universal salvation And that's in Revelation chapter 21. Verse seven he That overcometh shall inherit all things, and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But The fearful And unbelieving And the abominable and murderers and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, And all liars.
Okay, there goes your politicians right there. And and and most of the peop people in the media today are shall have their part in the lake of which burneth with fire. and brimstone, which is the second death.
Now If I was a A lawyer had I read this part all liars I'd be concerned, huh? Yeah, most likely.
Well, praise God, we we do have some good Christian lawyers out there, and I praise the Lord for that. Yes.
Okay. So let me ask you about this. Those with these attributes and characteristics we just mentioned here. Uh Does that not make up the entire Democratic Communist Party? I would say probably, at the very least, 99.99999% of them.
I mean,. Today again. Uh this is Society. But, uh So Sir John Austin says it He kinda don't like to to dwell on the negative. It doesn't really do any good for people to Think about sin order to preach about their sin.
People know. If there's whether or not they're sinners. Do you hear that? He knows people know whether or not they are sinners. What does the Bible say?
Everyone's a sinner. Right. Okay. And so I don't think that I should Should dwell on that. I refer to that.
Let me ask you this.
Well, it's not good for the collection, please. No, absolutely not. Uh when When Noah came preaching for a hundred and twenty years, what did he re-preach? Um repentance? Right.
When John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness. What did he preach? Repentance. When Jesus preached the very first time in his public ministry, what did he preach? Repentance.
But you've got to acknowledge your sin. and repent for it. That's like step one. They just want to skip over that.
So now Joe Olstein says he doesn't see where Preaching repentance does any good.
Well, any any good for him financially? Probably not. Uh you don't so Do you think he thinks Jesus wasted his time? Oh, I don't know about that, but I know he doesn't want to waste quote unquote waste his time. Right.
He wants to go for the where the money's at, huh? Exactly. What did Jesus say? about Uh The rich men It's easier for a camel to fit to the eye of a needle, then for what? Then for a rich man to get to heaven.
Huh. Well, Joe Hosting says that that's exactly what God wants us to do. He wants us all to be rich with material things, right? Yeah, because that's what he wants to believe.
Well, I mean, look at the crowds that he draws by preaching this as a heresy. What does that tell you about the biblical literacy of this of the nation today? It's suffering. Yeah. Where I mean, we're at an all-time high where it comes to biblical illiteracy, aren't we?
Yeah. But then I want to go over to Jude verses. seventeen through twenty three. Yeah. Um This is a very important passage of Scripture.
But, beloved. Remember you the words Which were spoken before. of the Apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ, or that they told you There should be mockers in the last time. who should walk in their own ungodly lusts, Do you think we just described the Prosperity Church? Yeah.
There be They who separate themselves sensual having not the spirit, Boy, I'm going to tell you, that's the apostate, that's the World and National Council of Churches. uh in there today. I mean, just you know, they embrace Sodomy. They embrace sodomy. They embrace.
abortion. Did you see where planned predators came out, planned parenthood? And they came out with a warning, a dire warning to the country. That because the They've had to close or All of there are so many of their killing centers that there's going to be thousands of babies born that shouldn't be born. Yeah.
Okay, yay. Yeah. So it's they're they're they're warning us that we that we have just saved thousands of babies. Yeah. These babies are going to be born and they they shouldn't be born, yeah.
So to the mindset of the death culture out there, to the Democrats. The Democrats are going to say, look, all these babies are being born that shouldn't be born. I mean, I mean, it it's for real that these people actually think this way. He goes on. But you, beloved.
B build it up yourselves. On your most holy faith, Praying in the Holy Ghost Keep yourselves in the love of God. Looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus. Christ into eternal life. And some having Compassion Making a difference.
Now, here's the key verse. Ready for this verse here? And others save with fear Pulling them out of the fire Hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
So what is he he's telling you something there that we're to do what? Um Fear God? We're to pull them out of the fire. How do we pull them out of the fire? Uh with compassion?
Yeah, witnessing should be with compassion About sometimes with what sober warnings of hell Uh uh depending on the circumstances, you know, wh uh whatever Uh Some some people You you ha you have to take I have an an example One time we're A guy didn't want to hear anything about the gospel. He thought he had real problems. He said, I'm I've got serious serial troubles in the The guy was a little slow, And I asked him, I said, Are you saved? Do you know the Lord as your Savior? He said, I don't have time for that.
He said, I'm looking at jail time. I said, let me tell you something. You're in much more trouble than you know. I mean James least of his concerns. Yeah, I said jail jail is nothing.
If you died to day Oh, my you know.
So I preached to him about hell.
Now the interesting thing about this was when he went to court. Uh this fellow was was just a little slow. Mm-hmm. Okay, uh Even though he was an adult, a grown man, He had more of a mentality of, say, a a twelve-year-old, or you know. And When it happened As he had Uh he was basically outside a whorehouse.
And Here he found a wallet, and the wallet had a badge in it. And what happened, uh this police Commander of the police department had been in that whorehouse and had they had robbed him. And Take it as badge and they j they just threw the badge away.
Well, when John found it, You know, he took that badge and he was l you know, he was homeless.
So he he basically showered and everything at the YMCA. That's where he he lived around there. And it He's in the bathroom in there. at the sink. I like his shaving.
and he wanted to impress other people in there.
So he takes it and he puts his badge down where they can see it.
Well the guy come in and stood next to him was an actual cop. And he looked and he recognized the badge and the He arrested him on the spot. John on the spot and took him in. and charged him with theft, with stealing, And charged the one to charge John with impersonating a police officer.
Well Uh, so I was so in in the courtroom.
Now, when John had called me and asked for prayer and uh And that's when we had that conversation when I told him, I said, You're in a lot more trouble.
So I preached to him. about heaven and hell, and when I preached to him about hell, He cried. He said, Please, he said, Don't let me go to hell. He said, My whole life's been nothing but pain. He was a him and his brother were abandoned by their parents when he was just a kid.
They lived from they lived on the street. He grew up from one house to the other uh His whole life, him and his brother, they got separated. And He said, I don't want any more pain. I don't need any more pain. And so, anyhow, I I preached him on hell, and then I preached on heaven and what he had to do, and he He said this in his prayer, he asked the Lord into his heart.
And what a change took over right away in him, okay. uh he was no longer so fearful. But anyhow I was called in, I was subpoenaed in court, And the judge said, I want I want to hear that conversation you have with him because when he had said he called at me and I had advised him on what to do, what to say, And the judge says, I want to hear every word of that conversation. I said, are you sure? She said, yeah.
So I preached about a thirty minute message right there in that courtroom. I I preached on hell. And then I preached on heaven. And the judge sat there with her you know, her head in her hands, listening to every word of it. And uh My my lawyer which there, which was John's lawyer.
He sat there with his mouth wide open. He said, In all my years, he said, I've never seen anything like this. You just pull off a church service. But what happened was when it was finished, the judge looked at the commander. and said, Do you still want to press charges?
And the commander says, No, your honor, all I want to do is get my badge back and get out of here.
So they dropped charges against John. And uh yeah, and John actually became pretty active for a while. He was a very, very active pro-lifer. Out there, he came out in the streets and helped to save babies. He learned quick.
But one day he just disappeared and I never heard from him again. I don't know what ever happened to him. But um Anyhow So that's what he's talking about. And others have safe fear. Pulling them out of the fire.
hating even a garment spotted with flesh.
So that verse is talking about again We are too. Ah always, always, always witness to people. We're that's that's the the Great Commission. is to preach the gospel, teach the gospel in season and out. And You know, uh I I'll tell you what, it's an absolute shame now.
We talked about what grieves the Holy Spirit. Every time. Do you have an opportunity? To hand out a gospel tract and be a witness for the Lord, and you fail doing that, that grieves the Holy Spirit. And You should always have a pocket full of gospel tracts.
Always. It's a very s simple thing to do. A lot of people say, well, I'm just You know, I I just I'm not I I I find it very difficult, you know That's where the gospel tracts come in so handy. Yeah, I'm introverted or whatever. I don't like talking to people or.
Yeah, like you said, I mean, that's just a quick. That here, take this. You don't have to talk to them for a while, you know, just and they can read it on their own, in their own time. I've only had a couple times in my whole life where people have refused it, okay? One time it was a Present Um And I went to the prison, and the fellow in visiting.
Corrections officer and visiting. When I handed him a gospel tract, he crankled it up and threw it in a garbage can. Boy, I tell you what, I straightened him up right there on the spot. I really let him have it. He got.
He jumped. He jumped up and p pulled it out of the garbage can. And you have to do that with those people. I told him, you are dishonoring God, you're dishonoring me. and without cause and bo and I mean He you oughta seen the look on his face, he didn't expect that.
I mean, who would have expect a preacher to be bold, right? Yeah. You don't see too much of that these days. No, you don't. And so.
Then I had one, I handed a a gospel tract, and they said, I don't need that. I'm a believer. I'm a believer. I don't need that. I said, Oh.
Well, then you don't know anybody that's not a believer, right? Nobody that you would want to give this track to. Pass it on to someone else. Right. And uh That makes a difference there.
I know we're out of time, aren't we, for tonight? Yeah, just a little over a minute.
Well, you you did all right tonight. Hey, not too bad. Yeah, I try. You know, you and me both, when we were growing up, our our parents didn't expect much from us and We never did disappoint them, did we? It's easy to live up to expectations when there are none.
Yeah. Yeah. I think we praise the good Lord it was a good program tonight, and I think we got a good message out. Absolutely. So Anyhow, I want to tell you folks out there The purpose of that message is you must be born again.
You must be born again, and so We're out of time for tonight, so until tonight. Tomorrow we want to say Thanks for being here and good night. And then we want to say, God bless, and always, always, always. Keith! Fiery the fire.
