Welcome to Truth Talk Live. All right, let's talk. A daily program powered by the Truth Network. This is kind of a great thing and I'll tell you why. Where pop culture, current events, and theology all come together.
Speak your mind. And now, here's today's Truth Talk Live host. You're listening on your apps, your smartphones, your devices in Greenville, South Carolina on the new 96.9 FM. Jacksonville, Florida, 91.7 FM.
St. Augustine, 91.9. I'm Stu Epperson. My voice is leaving me fast. While it's still here, I'm talking to you from the Religious Broadcasters Convention in Dallas, Texas. Pastor Rob Passienza, you have a huge booth outside, brother.
You can't walk in here without seeing. You got TV, you got radio. What in the world, man? We're doing podcasts. We've done about 55 interviews. Unbelievable.
In the last two days. Give us some highlights. Who are some of the favorite people you've interviewed that like our listeners say, wow, that guy, how'd you get here? Colonel Allen West.
Nice. The true picture of a Christian patriot. Dr. Abby Johnson, former director of Planned Parenthood, now a staunch pro-life advocate. We got Carol Swain and a book signing later this afternoon. So, it's been an incredible two days. Unbelievable. You're sitting next to the man who's going to change your date of birth forever.
Okay. Because he's one of our partners here along with Clearview today, Dr. Shaw, all of our great partners, Persecution Project Foundation, Date the Word, Dr. Carson. Man, you're having fun, aren't you? Well, I'm having a blast. He's like a kid in a candy store.
He doesn't know what to do with himself. Amazing. So, Pastor Rob, the question of the day, your birthday?
August 5th. Okay, that's, okay, hold on now, Doc. Okay, now, let's think about that. That's 8-5, oh my, so I'm thinking Romans, but you might have something to do.
But you might have something different. Proverbs? How about 2 Corinthians 8-5? 2 Corinthians 8-5, wait, whoa, whoa, whoa. That might be about like generosity or something.
Wait, what is it about? Well, Paul said to the Corinthians, I want to tell you about the Macedonians. We were so thrilled about them. They gave, oh, wait a minute, they gave themselves to the Lord first.
How about that? And then they gave to the ministry. And so, that's him. That's him right there. You're giving to the Lord. He pegged it.
2 Corinthians 8-5, brother. How about those marbles? Now, your wife's birthday, I hope you remember. Yes, let's see, let's take a screenshot of that. And I'll text you the link to that.
I love it. Everyone listening, get the app. I mean, the Truth app, so you can hear Dr. Carson.
The truth app. The date, the word app, so you can know what your birthday, birthday verse is. And share the gospel of your wife's birthday.
My wife's birthday is 3-7, March 7th. Well, let's give it up. That's Philippians maybe, but that's pretty heavy stuff there. You really think about Proverbs 3-5-6, but verse 7 also speaks about, do not be wise in your own eyes for fear of the Lord to part evil.
But Titus reminds us that having been justified by His grace, we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. Oh, my. Don't tell your wife this.
We want to surprise her, even though we'll probably make this show a podcast. Pastor Rob. But you can go to the Date Word website, datetheword.com. You can order a plaque with any of those said verses. Titus 3-7, Proverbs 3-7. You order it.
It's in wood. It has her name on there, her birthday verse. And you wrap it nicely.
And on her birthday, which is only a few weeks away. He's putting smiles on faces, this guy. And it's the Word of God! And see, really, the 3-7 of 3-7s is 1 Peter 3-7, where he can say, honey, I just want you to know I'm going to live with you with understanding.
Most men can't understand their wives, but my Bible tells me to understand you. And so I'm going to practice 1 Peter 3-7 for you. That's big points right there.
Well, big points. And God is working in a big way through Truths to Transform. You're on all of our stations, Truth Network.
Many of the brave affiliates that carry this program, carry your program, too. Tell us what God's doing in the ministry. What's on your heart?
What's, you know, for our country? You know, for the gospel. You know, we need Jesus in our world.
Talk to me. Yeah, this is a time where we cannot afford to be complacent as the church. I know there's a lot of conservative Christians excited and rightfully so about what happened in the elections on November 5th. God really saved us from declining into pure secularism and cultural Marxism. But we realize that our ultimate hope is not found in the White House. Our ultimate hope is found in the gospel of Jesus Christ. We need to understand that what this country needs now more than ever is another great awakening. But we know that great awakenings can't happen without bold biblical preaching, people repenting of their sins, and living their lives on their hands and knees, praying to Almighty God for another movement of the Spirit upon this nation. One of my favorite things to do when I'm in South Florida is come to your church. You had the big event with Tim Tebow. Kingdom Come Conference, which is coming up again. Talk about, give it a little shout out for that. Folks, you need to book your vacation now.
It turns into a mission cation. Kingdom Come, it's our annual Worldview Conference. It's going to be April 4th, 5th, and 6th.
Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church. If you go to InstituteFC.org, you can purchase tickets for Kingdom Come April 4th, 5th, and 6th. We've got Riley Gaines, Ali Bastaki, Samuel Say, Steven Mansfield, Erwin Lutzer, and many more speakers. So we're looking forward to Kingdom Come April 4th, 5th, and 6th. We're going to be a partner with you on that in Salem and Truth Network.
John 3-16, March 3-16 day is Dr. Carson's big, big push. Russ East, Russ, we're honored to have you here. He's part of the Truth Network Utah. Some of the least Christian areas in the world, in America, or in Utah.
But some wonderful people, beautiful country. Russ, what's it like to sit down next to one of the guys that has a program on your station? I know, I'm so excited to meet you, Pastor Rob. Well, hey, it is a privilege to be here and we're just grateful to just try to be a faithful witness out there in Utah, reaching the Mormons for Christ and all the agnostics and people that have been burned by religion, trying to, you know, sadly get cleansed from their sins on their own. You know, and that's a big problem across so many different fronts, but we're just grateful for the opportunity to bring people on like Pastor Rob and others to proclaim the gospel and provide discipleship, evangelism, and I'm having a blast doing it. You're about to shout out a special event coming up, a trip to the Bible Land, right?
Well, it is Bible Land in a sense. It's the trip to Greece, and it's the footsteps of Paul, and I want to extend this out to Pastor Rob, and I'll give you this whole packet here, and this is something that's going to be taking place September 16th through the 26th to Greece, and I've already been there, and I loved it. I was there last year. I went to Philippi, Athens, Corinth, Ephesus.
I had never been to Ephesus, but we're going there on this trip, so go to TruthNetwork.com, and this is a company called Colette, and they know what they're doing. They can do the whole thing for you. They're setting up everything. You'll be going to some of our Truth folks. Now, we've got to take a break.
Yes. When we come back, Pastor Rob has a word for you on how to stay strong in tough times, and where you are an amazing mission field as part of Truth Network, and he's got a word to everyone about drilling down on truth and reach our world with a gospel. Truth is a transform. Rob Posienza, when we come back on Truth Talk Live.
Hang on. The key, the anchor of Christian radio are solid Bible teachers, men of God who faithfully get up and preach the word of God. One of them is sitting in front of us right here, Rob Posienza, Truth is a Transform.
We've got these cards we're passing out. You're one of our great teachers on the Truth Network, including on our station in Utah, which Russ East is our manager there. Russ, we're just talking about the importance of the word of God and how so many people are here in this vast hall at the Religious Broadcasters Convention in Dallas, Texas.
We've got the Christian car guy right down here. All of our guys are here hanging out, but so many people are here because their lives have been changed by the word of God. Pastor Rob, what's it like to be in this company of brothers and sisters in Christ from all over the world?
You know what, Stu? It's encouraging. It's encouraging to know that there are like minded men and women of God that want to use all of the tools that have been made available through media to advance the message of the gospel, to advance the kingdom. You know, the church has always been at its best during history when we've run towards the darkness. We've been the innovative people that have been using technology, for instance, and science and all of the ways in which we can get the message of the gospel out.
And so I love the fact that you have men and women here that are using media for the glory of God, building the city of man, building the city of God in the midst of the city of man. Yeah, and Russ, you know, I saw tears coming down your face a couple days ago. I don't want to, you know.
No, that's fine. Yeah, you met me with the guy. You introduced me to the guy who helped to start the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C. And so that was pretty powerful. But to be among these people and just like Pastor Rob comes over and sits down with us. I mean, he's got this huge exhibit out there. He's on international TV. I mean, that just there's a there's a humility and there's a power of the life changing gospel of Jesus Christ.
Russ, what's it like to be with him? And just to this whole experience, talk to our listeners. And, you know, they don't a lot of don't know you like I do, you know, but it's tough out there sometimes. Well, it's encouraging to know that there are people like Pastor Rob who value God's word and won't come up with some type of a of a of an excuse for saying, oh, well, you know, the Bible is OK, but it's been changed and it's been twisted and we need this.
We need that. And if you look at all the world religions, that's pretty much what happens. They might kind of give a little bit of credibility, but they don't they don't lift it up. They don't they don't understand the amazing beauty and the preservation and the trustworthiness and the the power behind these. This this preserved word of God from Genesis to Revelation, you know, and and we can just we can see the common thread, you know, of Christ throughout. And we can see just the amazing message and just how God has been trying to get our attention for all these years, you know, and it's it's but it's still there. It's still preserved and we can get it out to people through these airwaves.
These airwaves are just as majestic and powerful and amazing as the mountains in Utah. Well, what about that, Rob? And what about being a part of a ministry? You're you're faithfully preaching the word from the pulpit and then your team's taking it. Jerry and the guys are mixing it down and then spitting it out over a.m. a twenty ninety five point three FM all across the Wasatch Front. Yeah.
Yeah. What's that like for you? It's exciting because I see this incredible movement of God and I think people are hungry for truth. I think people are hungry for biblical truth because they see that it changes lives. And we believe as as brothers in the Lord that it's it's it's truth that tells the story that is unparalleled in history.
The story of a God coming down and saying, you don't have to work your way up, you don't have to work your way in. But it's the imputed righteousness of Christ. That's the beauty of the message. We're not only proclaiming truth, but we're proclaiming the truth, goodness and beauty of the gospel of Jesus Christ. What a time to be a Christian.
And let's make this clear, Pastor Rob, of what you're saying. We're not as born again Christians. We're not these Bible thumping warriors who are declaring war on Hindus and Muslims and Mormons. No, we love all these people.
Not at all. In fact, they're our friends. But they they have the same need.
I have. I'm better than them. Right. Right. We love them enough to want to share the truth with them in love. You know, we're full of grace and truth.
That's what we're all about. The gospel. Right.
It goes to everyone. Absolutely. When Jesus was declaring the truth, he did it with what? With tears. Our truth needs to be combined with our tears. Our hearts need to break for a broken and dying world.
And I think the world needs to see that. They need to see that we love them so much that our hearts are breaking for them to understand how they can be saved, how they can expend eternity with God in heaven and how they can be a part of the greatest movement the world has ever seen, the movement of Christianity. And just fundamental to the church, Pastor Rob, you have a heart for the church, Russ, you have a heart for the church.
Talk about the importance, the significance of such a simple thing, but something that just doesn't happen. That is just opening God's word. When I talk to the same guy who has the Bible Museum Ministry and he's been a part of all that stuff. And he told me a survey they got came out recently that the average church will read one verse from the pulpit a week.
One verse. Talk about the importance, the primacy of God's word. Yeah, the primacy of God's word as it's advanced by the church. We need to understand that there's only power in the word. There's not power in our stories. There's not power in our illustrations. There's not power in our winsome words. There's power in the word of God.
It's living and active. It has the power to transform human hearts, has the power to heal marriages, has the power to bring the prodigal child home. And so we need more and more churches that are faithfully preaching the whole counsel of God. But preaching it in such a way that they understand how this applies to all of life.
That's what it means to have a biblical worldview. Have you ever talked to your favorite founding father, Russ? Hand him the mic. Russ Washington is joining us. General. Okay.
Okay. He has to make the Continental Congress meeting coming up pretty quick. So we have General Washington here. Describe his regal in his Revolutionary War uniform.
Very impressive. Lean into the mic. We can't hear you. Talk right into the mic.
A little louder, louder, louder. Regal is something we avoid, sir. It is an indication of loyalty, and we've avoided that for some time.
He looks very patriotic. Yes, thank you. Yes, we appreciate you. This is what's fun about an interview with these characters walking around. But it's all, you know, what it's the old saying, evangelism, explosion, be winsome to winsome. Yes. Talk about that. Yeah, absolutely.
Evangelism, explosion. We've got all these characters, costumes, movies. Yeah, a lot of things going on.
Video games, people doing gaming, people doing virtual reality. It's exciting to see. Holy Land trips. All of the innovation in one room, in one space. It really gets you encouraged about what God is up to in the 21st century church.
Because I think he's on the move, and I believe that Christianity is as relevant as ever. And I think our country is due for a revival. And the Lord's given us creativity to reach the world. Hey, you can be fun and funny, but the goal is to bring people to Christ. Right. You can be good at sport and do the same thing.
Yeah. If I could also just again mention this trip to Greece. If you're looking for a way to enhance and even deepen your understanding of the book of Acts, to really appreciate walking the streets of Philippi, like I've done before, come walk them with me and you'll see where Paul, in the same vicinity right there, where he was put into jail and he was whipped and he was beaten and then an earthquake hit. And he was released. And the jailer was going to kill himself.
But Paul didn't run away to Lydia's house. He was right there. He said, don't do anything to yourself.
Don't harm yourself. We're all here. And then that jailer must have heard Paul and Silas praying and singing. And he said, sirs, how do I be saved? And then the jailer gets saved. So through that suffering that Paul experienced there in Philippi, we have Lydia who gets saved, the jailer, both of their houses. You've got the little girl who had the demon cast out of her. And then Paul did his work and he went on to Thessalonica after that.
And I'm telling you what, it's so amazing to come to Greece. Pastor Rob, if everyone would embrace the gospel and share the gospel, what would happen? We'd see a revival. Hit us with your website for Gold Ridge Ministries. Yeah, crm.tv, crm.tv. Utah Partners, Sister Christ, how do people find about you, Russ? Okay, best trips to Utah, upfc.org. Love it. Thank you, guys. You're a blessing. Thank you, Stu.
NRB 2025. More coming up after this. You're listening to the Truth Network and truthnetwork.com. Yes. Oh, man, I'm having so much fun.
My voice is almost gone, which means I ask a question and you talk. Got it. Brother Johanan, God bless you, man, serving Jesus all over the world with GFA Critter campaigns.
Whoo. Giving cows out in the name of Jesus and the gospel. I love what you're doing, man. We've had you on many times, but we don't know your birthday. Dr. Carson, this is a problem.
This is an issue. We do not know this man's birthday. Daniel, when is your birthday? It is August 15th.
Oh, 8-15? Oh, my soul. That could be Proverbs. No, that might be Revelation. No, no, no, no, no.
Romans. Oh, is that the adoption verse? Don't tell me. It is. Don't tell me that's not the Abba Father. It is.
It is. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the spirit of adoption by which we cry out, Abba Father. How's that for a birthday verse?
That's a good verse. Romans. See, now look. That's your calendar.
Thank you. You've got the staff, the team, GFA. You've got like thousands of people here from GFA.
Look at all these people. See, we're on radio. I'm creating the scene. We're at NRB.
We've got all these amazing... Look at that cool cowboy hat there. There's the Christian car guy. He's wheeling and dealing. We're passing out brochures. There's a big movie screening, raw footage from the Sudan from PPF, Prostitution Project Foundation. People are going to walk in that room weeping. Daniel Yohannan, you're here with GFA. That is your verse for your birthday. That's your calendar.
We're spreading God's word every way we can. Every date has a verse that matches the date, so you can share that with anyone and go get the app, the Date the Word app. Anybody who's got a birthday, everybody does, you get the birthday verse.
I love it. Then March 3 16 is coming soon. That's for your son. A 3 16 bracelet. Put it on. Oh my soul. Why?
What is 3 16? Is that in the Bible? It is. Lots of places, but John 3 16 and pastors all over the world are going to be preaching John 3 16 on March the 16th. Join the movement. So make us this pinky promise.
If you're if you're there, we are we lock pinkies. If you're in a pulpit preaching on the 3 16, just bring up John 3 16. That's it. I mean, I mean, it's the it's this this amazing, powerful message, the gravity of which is just the word. So we Daniel Yohannan, you think of that word.
So, so loved. What hit you about that, brother? That the whole world needs to hear about Christ. I mean, that's that's what GFA World is all about is there are people who are waiting to hear about Christ for the very first time.
I mean, we've we've talked about this before. You walk into a village and some of these areas and you say, Do you know Jesus? And they'll say, My friends, my family's here. My my relatives are here. Your friend Jesus is not here.
Check the next village on the right. And so, you know, John 3 16 really God truly loves the whole world, but it's up to us to bring that message of God's love. Yes. The reason ministries like GFA exist is because there are billions, three billion or more who've never heard the gospel out there. And you're making that happen.
But you're also like, look at these people. They're going to die if they don't eat. Hey, here's a chicken that a kind American listening to Truth Network, listening to 88 point, you know, 88.1 in Bennett, North Carolina, Neil Jackson station, listen to this program, listen to the AFR, whatever station is great enough to carry the show. They say, I'm going to send 100 bucks. I'm going to buy a goat. I want to buy a chicken. I want to buy a cow. I'm going to buy a water buffalo. And what happens to that animal?
Tell them, you know, families on the other side of the world get helped. They are given these animals, these life changing gifts, chickens, goats, buffaloes. Everyone needs a water buffalo. And those animals make a difference.
Eggs, milk. I mean, you can even take the cow dung or buffalo dung, mix it with straw, dry it, and it turns into firewood. I mean, these gifts literally change lives, lift up the kids' health, help the whole family to have a future. Doc Carson, isn't that the gospel?
It's word and deed. It's not just, hey, God loves you, now you're going to starve to death. Generosity is the new evangelism.
And this past year when Daniel was on, my wife and I immediately, we bought several from cows to chickens to pigs because it's easy to go to the website and make the purchase. And now you're helping a ministry with first feeding them because if that belly's hungry, they're not really ready for the heart to hear. But when you've been generous to them, and now let me tell you why I did this in the name of Jesus. Amen. I did this for Jesus Christ. It's all about him.
It's about people coming to him, right? Give a testimony. Tell them what happened.
Tell them what happened. This has actually worked. Yeah. No, I mean, one of these families that received a pair of goats, he was really struggling to take care of his family, and we were able to give him a pair of goats. And if you know anything about goats, they multiply pretty quickly.
Yes. And goats are jumping around. And he got so many goats, he started his goat farm. He was able to give goats to his friends, his relatives, and that made it possible for his kids to be healthier, for them to go to school, and for the families to be encouraged. So many people came to Christ because of a pair of goats. Yeah. My big idea for NRB next year is set up a little corral with a giant goat with a bunch of animals.
Animals. Bring some of them in here. Or here's another thought. You could get some little stuffed animals.
Yeah. And you could attach it to buy this stuffy and give an actual goat to just a fun little stick. Hook up with someone that makes the beanies or makes the little deals. Can you imagine the kids at high school say, I want that? Like you did the 316 wristband we gave you.
But what do you think about all this creativity? I mean, people love the Critter Campaign when we do it on the Truth Network. A guy texted me just a few days ago. He says, I gave money to the Critter Campaign.
I'm like, well, I wish you'd done that in December. But he did it anyway to help support. He heard about you.
Maybe he heard our podcast. And he said, I want to give an animal that's going to make a lasting impact in India, Asia, wherever they are. And I know that Daniel's team is going to take the gospel here.
Yeah. You know, everywhere we go, our focus is absolutely clear. People need to know about Christ in word and in deed. Sometimes it's water.
Sometimes it's a pair of animals. Sometimes it's a compassionate prayer and listening ear. But people are desperate to know about Christ. You know, all around the mission fields, there was a lady who was 102 and she heard about Christ for the very first time.
And she said, I waited my whole life for someone to tell me about this God that loves me. And so, you know, GFA World's focus really is raising up national missionaries, assisting children to have a future, transforming communities through Christ's love and disaster relief. But everything we do is to bring Christ's name so that they can experience the abundant life. I mean, that is all that we're about. Yeah. Make Him much of Jesus.
He's the answer. And talk about the conditions in some of these countries you're going into. You know, I was in Rwanda just a little while ago. And we went to a community called Red Zero where there's thousands of families in those areas. And I've seen poverty. I've seen poverty in Asia. I've walked through the slums. I've seen kids playing in the sewer in the middle of the street.
I mean, just gross stuff. You know, I visited our leprosy homes where we're treating leprosy patients. But in Rwanda and some of these areas, while the country is doing much better than it did, you know, before, I was talking to this mother who was making her own bricks out of mud and straw to fill in gaps in the wall. And I walked into the kitchen, which was a small fire that had been gone out probably for a couple of hours. And there was a small little pot there with a little bit of food. And that was the one meal that day for her and her kid. Walked into the next room and there was a blanket on the ground with some bricks. And I said, what is that? He said, that's the kid's bed.
They're sleeping on the floor on a bed sheet. And I've seen worse. But what is heartbreaking is when you see, there's no hope in their eyes. And they want to have hope. And really only Christ brings that hope to people's lives. And we have the opportunity.
And this is what my, you know, my father would always challenge us with. And it's been about a year since he went to be with the Lord is that we are all responsible. And we will stand before God for the opportunities that God has given to us to bring his name to the whole world. And we should never miss that opportunity.
Yeah. And jump on in there. How can people get involved? Folks who want to buy a goat, buy a critter, get involved, support your GFA World Ministry. I think the simplest thing that people can do is go to gfa.org. And they can learn more about what GFA World does.
But they can also give a goat, a chicken. But I also, I would love to invite people to pick up the free copy of the Revolution of World Missions. 4 million print. My father wrote the book. That has wrecked the world of missions.
It has wrecked people's lives. You can get it for free. Gfa.org and get the free book. Also, there is a set apart retreat that we have for young people 18 to 27 at our campus here in Dallas. For them to be able to experience what it means to serve with us in missions. I would encourage people to check that out.
Go to gfa.org and learn more about that also. This is so easy. Yeah, Doc, it's easy to do this. And this is not optional as believers. And people listening are so generous. You're giving to your church. You're supporting other evangelists. You're supporting ministries like we just interviewed.
Rob Hausians and Trisha Transform. Please keep doing that. But God has blessed you. Keep those hands open. And we've got to stop this clenched fist stuff. We've got to start giving and blessing. We've got to start saying yes more. You know, to the Lord's work. That's why we have legitimate ministries on here.
And you're one of them. We're taking a break when we come back. I want to talk more about your dad's legacy.
Because our dads are together. You lost him, but you didn't lose him. Heaven gained him. What an impact. I want to get into that some.
I want to get into his book, Revolution and World Missions. And I want to talk about that some when we come back. We're going to bring the Christian car guy back on. Kind of recap the last couple days. And, you know, really it's going to be intense, folks. So stay tuned.
The big idea of a bestselling book that has literally wrecked a lot of lives, including mine. Don't touch that dial or Truth Talk Live coming back from the NRB 2025. We're at this.
Someone's 815. What a good verse for his birthday, huh Doc? Absolutely, absolutely. That's a winner. Docked it by the Lord. Amen.
That's the Father, right? You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. We are live from the National Religious Broadcasters Convention.
What a treat. And we're also going to play this back on Truth Talks. To all my Truth Talk listeners on AFR and all of our great affiliates, Truth Talk Weekend, you're hearing a show that we are doing now that you'll hear it again on the weekend from the floor of the exhibit center.
Hundreds of thousands of square feet of people that love Jesus that want to reach our world with Christ through movies, television, radio, broadcasting, podcasting, digital, social, all of the above. I'm socially not going to my Instagram page, Instagram. Stu Epperson, LinkedIn, where I did a big tribute to Chuck Swindoll. They had a big Chuck Swindoll breakfast. Did you go to that, Daniel?
Unbelievable. And then we have screenings of movies. We're on our way to a screening of a movie by Precision Project Foundation. Raw footage from Sudan. I hope you can pop into our suite. We've got some yummy, mighty muscadine juice for you.
Vine-tastic as well. Some cookies. Daniel Johanen. I mean, what a blessing. What a heritage, your family, our dad. We're sons of the pioneers.
K.B. Johanen, gospel creator. Your dad wrote this book. Little did he know the impact that that book would follow him into eternity.
Talk about it. Yeah. You know, in the early days of the ministry, I think it was like 1985, he wrote the book, Revolution to World Missions. Actually, the original title was The Coming Revolution to World Missions, God's Third Wave, talking about the apostles and the church fathers going out to these unreached areas and then the missionaries who went and then the national missionaries. And it was the idea that you've got 80 percent of the nations, especially in the 1040 window that are closed for outside missionaries.
Even if people wanted to go, they would be limited. And so then the question was, you have people who need to hear about Christ. The question is, what's the best way for them to hear about Christ?
The quickest, most effective way. And then answer that question. And for us, it was national missions. And so that that book really challenged people to rethink missions altogether. Can we see national missionaries, people from their own country who like the bugs, who like the climate, who like to speak the language?
They drink the water. I walk in there. I got to raise tens of thousands of dollars to go to language school. I'm not saying don't go if God's called you. But for what you would pay for me and my family to go to Eastern Asia, you could take an indigenous missionary already there, you could sign up 10 or 15 or 20 of them for the same amount of money, right? Yeah, right.
Yeah, in Africa, African Asia, like nationals make much more sense. But my father was always a both and if someone, you know, really funny thing is the book, you know, Revolutionary Missions, even though it's about national missionaries, I know so many people who have gone as missionaries from different countries to the mission field. Like, praise God for that.
Just go. God will find a way and the folks that give to you are going to get a bigger blessing than you get. Yeah, the point is the Great Commission is not just for missionaries and pastors. The Great Commission is for all of us. And all of us who claim to follow Christ should be asked the question, how can my life be part of the answer? And that book, Revolutionary Missions, will challenge your heart, first of all, to fill your heart with compassion.
And second, it will point you in the right direction and say, my life can be lived in the light of eternity. So, great, I have a job at McDonald's, but my job at McDonald's can actually impact missions in eternity. Wow. You're a sole winner while you're cooking up Big Macs, right? You're a missionary disguised as a McDonald's. If it's a hot dog factory, you're a sole winner, right? Or you're fast food. Or if you're working at Bonefish Grill, you know, you're cooking up sole while saving souls. You're fishing from in.
Or you're fry fishing from in, right? Robbie Dilmore? How does it hit your heart to hear this guy talk? Daniel Han and GFA partners, they've been great with us for a long time.
The Crib Campaign is amazing stuff. Daniel doesn't know I've interviewed him, I don't know, at least three times, I think. Yeah, and so it's neat to have a face actually be sitting in a booth with him, and that's the beauty of this convention is a lot of folks who are familiar with their ministry, familiar with their input on what God's doing in their lives, but it's really cool to actually see them, especially when they don't know that, you know, you're sitting there watching them going, ah, talk to those guys.
That's right. It's funny, I gave him a hug when we started the show. I was like, this is just awesome to embrace this brother in Christ who we've talked to and who we've supported, and every time we do the Crib Campaign, I pull out my phone and give something, a goat, a chicken, a water buffalo.
I mean, what in the world? And he has no idea how much Bethann McBride, you don't know the effect that the Crib Campaign had on that woman. Oh, she loves it. She spent hours.
A lot of truth listeners think it right now. Bethann, yeah, where's Bethann? She's out there. She's doing Bible for breakfast, but right now, you know, we've got one of the heads of the Critter Campaign right here with us.
Yeah, and Robby, we're going to be here broadcasting it tomorrow. Just paint the picture. I mean, look at all these people. What's been some impactful things for you seeing this thing? And I want to ask you this next, Daniel. Real quick, Robby. Yeah, I always pinch myself.
How do I get to do this? But I spend the NRB interviewing people that come up here, and they have, you know, God's given them something. So it's amazing to see what the world is doing. Because if you're sitting here where I've sat, right, here comes this lady from Iran, and her church has written hundreds of thousands of Iranians around the world because they're broadcasting in their language. And, of course, if you're Iranian and you happen to be in India or you happen to be in Detroit, you hear your own language and you feel like you're home, and they're reaching people with the gospel that are Muslims, right?
Or the same thing with Egyptians. And I got a chance to talk to this church that was reached hundreds of thousands. And then I just got, right before you guys walked up, man, I was sitting there talking to a dude that was the United Nations adjunct or whatever you call for the Israeli Navy, right? And he, I mean, in all this uniform and all this stuff, and talking about how grateful, and I've had this happen with several Jewish interviews I've done, how grateful they are for the church and how they see Christians standing beside them and supporting them.
And it's almost like, because, you know, I've interviewed people for years here. There's like a turn. Have you noticed this, Daniel?
There's a movement afoot. And GFA is going to these countries where the gospel has never been. Where people have never heard of Jesus before. Yeah, you know, places in Africa and Asia that still are waiting to hear about Christ for the very first time. And it's something that most people don't think that's a real thing because you can walk down the street here and someone will be cursing Jesus' name. I mean, at least his name is being proclaimed. But, you know, there are places in the world where if you ask them, do you know Jesus, they think you're talking about your friend. And they'll say, you know, check the village down that road. You have no idea.
Just a common name. But that gives us a chance to tell them, like, hey, can I tell you about Jesus? Can I tell you what he did for you? I remember traveling once on the mission field with my father. It happened to me on Christmas Day. And he saw a farmer plowing the field. And so he asked the vehicle to stop. He went out and said, why are you plowing on Christmas? The guy said, what's a Christmas?
He had no idea. And so it gave a chance for my father to explain. My wife gave me this plow for Christmas. I had to get it right out and use it. Right away.
But the thing about here in America, like, so many things we take for granted. We're safe. I'm going to share the gospel. I just shared the gospel on the basketball court. I didn't get beat up or cussed or thrown out. In fact, they wanted to hear it. In fact, we held hands and prayed afterward and had a holy huddle.
A two-minute drill. But there are many saints that you know. You have friends. You've met people who've been martyred for the name of Jesus. Yeah, I mean, many of our missionaries have been martyred.
The widows are still serving the Lord with us. I just got to spend some time with one of our missionaries, brother Manja, who was in prison for 12 years on false charges. And he was inside prison. He led 75 people to Christ inside prison. He had his own prison ministry.
He was more of a threat to them in the prison than he was out of that prison. You know, but his wife is outside the prison, you know, raising her kids and continuing to do the ministry. So the reality is all of us are called to live our life in the light of eternity, do what we can, and to pick up our cross, deny ourself, and follow him. And very practically for people to just join us, GFA, your unique ministry niche. You know, not just training indigenous missionaries to go into the world and preach the gospel. Not just advancing this revolutionary world missions book that your dad just gave a great gift to the evangelical world. But you're doing it through this strategic critter campaign.
For those who just joined us, just describe it for guys like me that maybe aren't the brightest knife in the drawer. The critter campaign is the opportunity to give life-changing gifts to families who are in desperate need. Some of them can't barely make ends meet.
Their children have to walk far away to get water. So giving a pair of chickens or a pair of goats or some buffaloes or cows or a sewing machine or any of these other life-changing gifts, you are uplifting this family. You're encouraging them. They're able to make an income so that they can have dignity and raise themselves out of their own poverty. But they also get the chance to hear about Christ.
I love it. So you're weaponizing these missionaries, these gospel deliverers that are going on motorcycles, bicycles, wherever. They're going to these villages and they go with Bibles and all this stuff, the Jesus film. But they're also going with a set of chickens or a goat that someone graciously here in America donated. I mean, how cool is that? I mean, even in Rwanda, I had the privilege of giving out 50 chickens to 50 families or 50 pair of chickens to 50 families.
And they were so excited because they can start their own little chicken farm. Can you believe he hatched that kind of plan, Robbie? I mean, is there a more egg-cellent way to do something? See, he's the ultimate punster.
I'm putting them on him heavy. That's not too egg-stravagant, is it, Robbie? It's not all that's cracked up. No, it is all that's cracked up to be. Well, stop yoking about it. This guy's talking about delivering chickens and I mean, what about that? Hey, what a blessing. Hallelujah, man.

Jim, the Armadillo man wants to be on. I saw George Washington's big walker bias. I saw King David a minute ago. King David's here. It's red-headed, yeah. Goliath will have to tug his head to get in, you know.
