The following program is recorded content created by the Truth Network. In the parking lot, outside of a huge public school, we were just in there talking to the team about Jesus. A man who loves basketball and loves to share the Lord.
He's played all over the world. Jamie Johnson. Our buddy, your best friend Randy Shepherd, a man of God. He's in heaven! Oh yeah, we're still down here because the work ain't done, is it brother?
It's not done, Stu. You know, Randy. You know, you played ball with him at the gyms here at Winston-Salem. You were with him when he shared with me and not with me and he was an Apostle Paul. You know, the great thing, Stu, is you know this from Radio Truth Network and for Crossfire, the gospel never changes. Now Randy, I can't replace Randy.
Boy, he was so passionate about souls. But Crossfire will continue like you, Stu, to share the gospel and use sports platforming. It's a great thing to use basketball or reach people. You were just in there with me, Stu, shooting threes and the high school kids are watching you.
You're hitting free throws and all that. It's a platform. It's amazing.
And to see a young man with tears in his eyes receive Christ, is there anything better? I mean, honestly, folks, I know we have problems. I know there's issues. Man, I'm struggling.
I can hardly walk after playing now. But to see someone come to Christ, Jamie Johnson, is there anything more invigorating? There's a shouting party going on in heaven right there, isn't there, brother?
There is. I mean, you got me in at the Calvary Christian School. There were 28 that trusted in Christ, 43 recommitments at a Christian school. Thank you, Stu, for being obedient to the Holy Spirit. Then you take me to your school where you were a standout player at Mount Tabor and 15 players, laser focused, just said yes to Jesus.
And at the restaurant that Stu had everybody at, we got to share with this lady at the front, 18-year-old Allie. And she gets saved. She doesn't have a Bible. She didn't know the gospel. She trusted in Jesus. How does someone in the middle of the Bible Belt, like that young lady, never hear about Christ, never hear the gospel?
And I say, what's taking them so long? Man, we're out here. We got to get to the Calvary to share. You're in there taking someone to the other Calvary, the cross of Calvary to the Lord of Calvary, right?
Amen. Stu, your question about the Bible Belt, it is a question we need to try to figure out and answer. Because if we're not seeing them come to church, that means if we're not leaving church and sharing the gospel with them, they may never hear it. If they're not listening to Truth Network, which you're doing your job and they need to listen to your radio station, we've got to catch them where they are. And that was Allie at a restaurant in a Bible Belt, didn't have a Bible, never heard the gospel.
Well, I'm going to have to go home and take a nap. And that's what I said after Randy Shepherd left. Because everywhere we went, he's sharing the Lord with the waitress, the waiter, with the trainer. He doesn't care.
He's going to share Jesus in a loving way, of course. Never invasive. If someone's in the middle of a crunch time or in the middle of traffic, he's not going to get someone killed. But now, Jamie Johnson, you're unleashing this thing, man. You're weaponized to share the gospel. And now I'm exhausted, but I love it.
But praise the Lord. And what's your challenge to people out there from Crossfire Ministries? You guys are still going. Camps are still going. We're going to be promoting those on the Truth Network and all over the country, getting kids to come. They'll get great basketball, but they'll hear the gospel, too, right?
That's right. They'll get all the basketball fundamentals, too, that they need at a camp. They'll have a Christ-centered message every day, more than once. They make friends, and they have male role models and coaches and lady role models and coaches that give them what you're giving as godly parents.
They're safe in our environment. And it's not just the camps. Pray for us. We speak to these schools, and these teams, like Stu, just got us in here. We're going to go and share as God opens the doors. We're not limited to the church. We're kind of out of the box. That's a good thing. We go where the people are.
Think about us in that way. And so, Jamie Johnson, Crossfire Ministries, everyone listening out there, they may not be able to throw the ball in the ocean, which I've been accused of not being able to do that in certain games. But they may not be uber-gifted. They may not have gotten the SAT or gotten a scholarship or even gone to college. But if they know Jesus, they are a missionary.
What do they need to be doing? Give everyone a challenge. Can anybody just share the gospel of Jesus Christ?
What does it take? Well, you're the hands and feet of Jesus. Have you ever thought about when you are out in public and you see someone do something nice, and you're thinking, well, that was great. They opened the door.
Or you see that advertisement years ago, Stuart, where, Stu, where they had these people, in 30 seconds they show the guy opened the door, someone hands them a gift, and it passed on the next person. So what do you do to share the gospel? You have that kind of news, but it's better. It's good news. It's not just a gesture.
It's a life change. And what we should do when we share, folks, is apologize sometimes to your audience and say, it's my fault. I didn't share with you before now.
Please forgive me. Let me tell you about Jesus. And make sure you know He is my Savior. And you just love Him.
You don't cram it down in the throat. You just love Him. And the Holy Spirit will give you the words.
He will. Now, the sun is rapidly setting. We're leaving my alma mater. You shared Christ with the whole team. We're so excited. You're going to be buzzing all the way home with the Holy Spirit. Jamie Johnson, Crossfire Ministries. Now, what's happened is all these other believers like me who kind of facilitated, sat back and watched people call upon the name of the Lord to be saved.
Now, I'm excited. Now, I want to go tell us something about Jesus. This thing's contagious, isn't it, Jamie Johnson? It fires you up. When you see God do a work, you want to do it again. And see, folks, Crossfire, we've been blessed to see this over and over and over. That's why we both have a hard time sleeping sometimes, because we see the fruit everywhere we go. People, y'all are praying for us. And it's God that's doing it.
It's not me, not Randy, not you. When you share the gospel, but when you do share, you may get some fruit. Even if you don't, you planted a seed. It's worth it. Now, we're down in the Piedmont in the valley. You're going up to the mountain to Asheville. You got to get on the road before it gets dark.
You got to go see mama and got to take care of your family. And we're so grateful you came down and invested your heart and your life and your skills in sharing the gospel with all these people all day long. And on this national radio show, which is this will reach more people than we've talked to face to face today. But Jamie, tell us, you know, Randy's in heaven. What a celebration. I mean, I got to see clips.
Baller Nation sent me some clips. I just was moved. And some of it I couldn't hardly watch. It was so tender.
And the music, unbelievable. Your family sang and all. But what's the message, the legacy of Randy Shepherd? And then tell us how we can pray for Crossfire Ministries moving forward, because you are still, the Lord is still on his throne. We serve a risen Savior. Randy wants us to, Randy wants us to bring more people up there to join them in heaven. Right. So what do you say?
What's your what's your challenge? How we can pray for you and the legacy of your buddy, your partner, Randy Shepherd? Yeah, you know, the legacy of Randy, of Randy Stu, was that he, he loved to share the gospel. He took to heart the verse I shared today with the first group, you know, Romans that with your lunch group, you know, how can they believe without a preacher?
And that's in the Greek, a messenger, someone who shares the gospel. And, you know, that's what Randy was all about. That's what Crossfire is about. That's what I'm going to be about. We've done it as a team. Now I do it with other players, other people like Stu with skill sets that can help me get in some doors.
As far as for you all praying for Crossfire, Crossfire is not going to change the platform or the gospel or the things that we do. We don't have Randy. That is a gap. But here's the thing. Stu knows us today. I had a picture with me. I showed the lunch crowd a picture of Randy. I'm never going to forget Randy. I pray that I will always honor Randy. He was my brother.
I'll see him one day, maybe sooner than later. And we're going to celebrate all the seeds that came to fruition. But you pray that Crossfire will continue to share the gospel using a platform that reaches countless, countless people. It's amazing what God's doing. You all heard that prayer request. If you heard that, please pray. Take a moment to pray for Jamie. Pray for Jamie's family.
You know, the family with health things. They've got issues. They've got a lot of needs and they're paying the bills. Crossfire is trying to send missionaries all over the world. They're putting teams together to the Philippines.
They've been in 65 plus countries. Jamie Johnson, how can people support? Maybe God puts it on someone's heart to do a year-end gift to support your ministry. It's all going to go towards spreading the gospel.
It's all going to go towards buying basketballs and nets and jerseys and packing gyms out with people to lead them to Jesus. How can they support you at the website, you know, any of your donation and also, again, the call to prayer as we get out of here? Yeah, you know, folks, you know, it's easy to go to our website, CrossfireMinistry.com.
Crossfire, C-R-O-S-S-F-A-R-E, Ministry.com. Go to the donation link. You can donate to the ministry.
You'll be encouraged to know that Stu knows this. But Randy and I, everywhere we go, we go by faith. We don't have a charge. We charge for camps in the summer to pay for facilities and coaches and all that. But we don't charge. We'll come wherever. Now, we've got to fly to some places like California, Texas, and Florida. But, you know, you can support us by going online.
Some people write a check. That's great. Some people, hey, they've got us in their will. We just got, this is a first in 31 years, back to back and two weeks apart, the last couple of weeks, on behalf of Randy, two stock donations to us.
And that was a first. We set up an account for that. If you want to do a will, a stock donation, IRA donation, it's kind of a tax break.
It's a benefit to you. But easiest thing is go to our website and you can donate to Crossfire. Jesus calls that treasure in heaven, and I think we should, too, because this stuff's going to all be gone. But what, you know, only what's done for Christ will last.
The website one more time, Brother Jamie Johnson, pray for this guy. Pray for this ministry. Pray for so many that heard the gospel today.
Those seeds would grow and they would go out and share. See, when you come to Christ, you come to know him, suddenly you are an ambassador to make him known. So it doesn't just stop with you. You know, now you're a part of solving the world's problem, which is on their way to a Christ's attorney. And we have the answer.
That's right. You go out and share the gospel. So as soon as you know that Christ is real in your life, he changes your heart.
You have a message to share and you actually have a responsibility. The Bible says, Go ye therefore into the world. And you can't make disciples like it says unless, what? They first come to Christ. So to make a disciple, we've got to present the gospel, then we disciple them. So every believer that's been born again, you and I must share the gospel.
Praise the Lord. And it's crossfireministry.com? Ministry Singular. M-C-R-O-S-S-F-I-R-E. Ministry. M-I-N-I-S-T-R-Y.com.
Crossfireministry.com. And we're going to play some ball next time you come into town. We've got to get out there in the hardwood, man, right? Bring it up, right?
Hey, man. Get behind Truth Network to support what Stu is doing. He never asked me for a penny, but you know, you can support them. Why don't you tell them how they can support you just like you did for me? I know you never asked for that.
How can they support you? Please, please, I'm asking you. Well, thank you for that. We are trying to be a voice, a microphone to amplify all these other ministries. But truthnetwork.com, donate now.
Please. And when you're supporting other ministries, you're kind of supporting us because they depend on us to get the word out for them. That's right. The prayers are huge. Pray for us. Hey, join the Truth Warriors as we reach the world for Christ. We're all in that. That's why it's called Truth Network. We're all networking. That's right.
Crossfire. We've got David Jeremiah. All these ministries on.
Truth Talk. All these affiliates. There's stations that carry the program that are part of a whole other networks because they want to reach the world for Christ. We're grateful for AFR. We're grateful for Salem. We're grateful for, you know, other ministries, Wilkins, that carry this show.
And we're grateful for the privilege to spread the good news of Jesus while we still have time. That's right. Before we join Randy and my dad in heaven, right?
That's right. Yeah, we got time, folks. We need to do it now. Christ could come back tomorrow. We've got to share this good news. And if you're afraid to, I've been afraid before and I'm an evangelist. You know, you go out there, you take a step of faith and God will help you to fear not and share humbly and boldly the good news of Jesus Christ.
