Welcome to Truth Talk Live. All right, let's talk. I'm Joe Rosenberger, so glad that you're with us. I've been traveling a little bit, so I got caught up there.
86634Truth, 86634Truth. I was just in Nashville yesterday at the Country Music Hall of Fame. We were doing a special book launch for a member of the Oak Ridge Boys, Joe Boncil, who had passed away this summer from ALS. Joe and I got to be friends for many years, and I spoke at this thing.
I didn't realize sometimes when you travel, you spend a lot of time at airplanes, and you use your voice, and all of a sudden it's like, ugh. So, sorry about that, but it was a great event yesterday. This book is called I See Myself, and it's memoirs of his life of things that he has participated in in his life. It's an extraordinary journey that he's had as a 50-year member of the Oak Ridge Boys, and I was privileged to be able to be a part of the group that he asked to endorse this book. And then I spoke at this thing yesterday where they launched it, his publisher, my publisher.
In fact, I hooked him up with my publisher at Fidelis Publishing, and it was a great time. And it was great to be back in Nashville. I lived there for 35 years. It's not the same town that I moved to back in 1984, but it's grown up, and it's crazy, and it's loud, and there's a lot of traffic, and I was glad to get back to Nashville. I mean, get back to Montana from Nashville, but the traffic alone is a bit unnerving, and I have maintained that if Atlanta and Las Vegas had a love child, it would be Nashville. We lived 10 miles from a paved road out here in Montana, and I kind of enjoy the peace and quiet.
I got up this morning, I saw the sun coming over the Rockies there, and it was just like, ah, this is good to be back. But it was a good time, and I would recommend the book. It's a good book, and it's available now wherever books are sold.
Joe Bonsall, and you probably, many of you are familiar with the Oak Ridge Boys, they're kind of iconic, and he was the tenor. He'd written numerous books. This was his 11th, but he contracted ALS, Lou Gehrig's disease, and it took him down pretty fast.
He came off the road last December. This is a book he'd been spending some time writing, and he was able to finish it before he was, in fact, at the very end of it, he couldn't write very much, but he got it done. And it's a book that I think you're going to love, and you're going to want to give it to somebody else, too, as a gift. He was a tremendous man of faith, loved the Lord, and the stories that he tells, and he's a very good storyteller, and you'll like what he does. Anyway, I was privileged to be there. There was a good group there with the Oaks, and I think Larry Gatlin, one of his brothers, was there, and it was a fun time, and I got to speak at it, but I see myself musings and memories of a blessed life, and he did. And I first got to know him through his parents' book that he did called G.I. Joe and Lily about his father, who was wounded horrifically at Utah Beach, and of course, we just celebrated Veterans Day, and my first time with Joe, he was on my program for caregivers for Veterans Day. We had a special Veterans Day show this many years ago, and his mother took care of his father, so many of our wounded men and women leave a part of themselves on the battlefield, and then they bring the battlefield home with them as well, some of them do. And Joe's father was one of those, and the severe wounds that he had, and plus, it led to him medicating that with alcoholism, and then he ended up having a debilitating stroke, but his mother took care of him, just an amazing patriot, a wonderful woman, and their faith was strong, and made an indelible mark on Joe and his sister's life, and so that's how we became friends, and we see that a lot, and I hope at Veterans Day this week that you were able to reach out to those who have served, and if you are a veteran, I thank you for that, and for what you've done. It's an extraordinary commitment that you make, and a lot of people get the days mixed up. You have Armed Service Day for people who are wearing the uniform, Veterans Day for people who hung up the uniform, and Memorial Day is for people who never took off the uniform. And it's important that we recognize so much of our blessings that we have in this world, in our country, because of men and women who volunteer.
It's all volunteer military. And speaking of which, I was really kind of surprised that Pete Hicks was going to be the Secretary of Defense, and I didn't see that one coming, and I think it's a good choice. I mean, the guy's clearly a very, very capable officer, and two bronze stars, and very well educated, and I think he'll make it excellent. I just didn't see it coming for the new Trump Administration, nor did I see the appointment of Matt Gaetz as Attorney General.
That I did not see coming at all. So they're coming in pretty hot. It's going to be like a bullet train for the next administration.
Are you ready for that? What are your thoughts on that? And if you want to weigh in, 866-348-7884, 866-34-TRUTH, and there's some things that I've got a whole stack of things here, a Peter's pile of paper that we're going to go over, and I've got it right here in my piano-playing hands, and we're going to go over a couple things that I thought you might be interested in. Just observations and see what your thoughts are. This program is for you, not just for me to opine, but it's for you to weigh in on what your thoughts are. We try to have interesting guests to bring all kinds of different views, and we're going to be doing that more. I've got some wonderful guests that we'll be having here in the next weeks and months to come. They're lining up for it, and I think you're going to find them fascinating, but at the same time, we want to hear from you. We want you to be involved and share your thoughts on it. We don't have enough of that.
I don't think we can have enough free speech and open speech. And now that the election is over and everybody's kind of processing what's happened, there's a lot of certainly infighting going on in the Democrat Party. I'll let them sort that out. They can figure that out themselves. They're all grown, and they don't need my help, but as Christians, I think now we have a responsibility to get to work. What does that look like for us? And I go back to what Jesus said.
I'm going to beat this drum pretty hard. Salt and light. Are we salt and light?
Even to people that maybe your team lost this time, maybe your team won. Are we, as believers, salt and light, no matter what's going on in the political world? And that's our calling.
That's our mandate from God. So anyway, we've got a lot to go over today. This is Peter Rosberger. This is Truth Talk Live. We'll be right back. You're listening to the Truth Network and truthnetwork.com Welcome back to Truth Talk Live. This is Peter Rosberger, and I am so glad that you're with us.
866-3434. I need some legs, and we need legs. We have a prosthetic limb outreach over in West Africa to amputees who are needing to be able to walk. They can go back to work. They can go to school.
They can do this. We've been doing this for almost 20 years. When my wife gave up both of her legs following this horrific car wreck she had, she tried to keep them for many years, and finally she gave them up.
The anniversary of the wreck is Monday, November 18th, and it'll be 41 years. And she struggled with that, and then she gave them up, and then she had this vision of being able to put legs on her fellow amputees and tell them about Jesus. And we do that, but part of that is we recycle prosthetic legs. We can collect used limbs from all over the country. That's what we do.
We get them from Alaska to Miami. They go to a prison in Arizona run by CoreCivic. They run prisons all over the country, and this is one of the faith-based programs they have.
It's a pretty cool program. And these inmates will help us disassemble these limbs, and we can use the screws, the feet, the pylons, the knees, the adapters, all those kinds of things. Now we can't reuse the socket. The amputeed limb goes in the socket.
It's custom fit for that patient. But we purchase all the materials necessary to make that socket on site in Africa where they cast them and mold them and build it there, but they can put a foot on them. And if the foot breaks or something happens to the foot, we give them a new foot.
No big deal. We swap it out. We do it all the time. And it's an extraordinary ministry.
Acts 3, you know, silver and gold have I known, such as I have I give in the name of Jesus, stand up and walk. And they do. You can help us do that if you want to get involved. If you know somebody who's an amputee, maybe they have some parts and supplies that they don't use, liners and prosthetic socks and belts and things like that. Or they have a child that's outgrown their limb. We always need pediatric parts.
Maybe a family member passed away who was an amputee. They don't know what to do with the leg. Please don't bury it. Please don't burn it.
Please don't throw it away. Let us give the gift that keeps on walking standingwithhope.com slash giving. You can go out there and look at the whole site standingwithhope.com and see what Gracie envisioned and how it's come about. It's an extraordinary work. And it is. Well, we get a leg, we get a foot in the door and get a leg up on somebody.
So standingwithhope.com. We're talking about all the things that are going on here in the country. We've got these political appointees coming in for the cabinet, for Trump coming in pretty fast. But I want to I want to read a couple of quotes to you. We're going to spend a little time on this today. Here's what Biden said.
And there's a reason I'm doing this. Biden said this in September 2022. MAGA forces are determined to take this country backwards.
Backwards to an America where there is no right to choose, no right to privacy, no right to contraception, no right to marry who you love. This was Biden in September 22. And he said the Republican Party is dominated, driven, intimidated by Donald Trump and his supporters. And it's a threat to this country.
Moving on, he said this. Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic. What is it they intend to do? Biden said once they erode the constitutional order of checks and balances and separations of powers, limit the independence of federal agencies, put them under the thumb of a president. He said that in 2023. This MAGA threat is a threat to the brick and mortar of our democratic institutions. It is also a threat to the character of our nation that gives our Constitution life that binds us together as Americans, a common cause. None of this is surprising, though they tried to govern that way before.
Thank God they failed, but they haven't given up. These are all quotes, only a few of the quotes that Biden has said about Donald Trump and his supporters. He called us garbage. He said they're garbage. He called us garbage. It's not too good. It's not a nice thing to say to call us garbage.
And he said they're garbage. Today, he said, I look forward to having a smooth transition. We'll do everything we can to make sure you're accommodated what you need. President Biden said his cameras and reporters were briefly allowed in the Oval Office for the meeting. So the guy that is a threat to the republic, who's going to tear down the foundations of this country, Biden now says, we'll do everything we can to make sure you're accommodated.
And I got to ask you, what does he believe? I'm not here to say pro-Trump or anti-Biden or anything like that. I'm just simply pointing out an incredible inconsistency. Think about all the millions of people who have heard Biden rail and his surrogates and acolytes. Rail, maybe Biden's an acolyte of someone else, I don't know. But they've heard him rail about Hitler and fascism and threat to our democracy and existential threat to this country and everything else. And all these people who get churned up, and now Biden's just welcoming this guy who's going to destroy America into the White House. Does that not seem inconsistent to you?
Does something about that not pass the smell test? Either he was lying before and it's all a bunch of rhetoric and hooey, or he's lying today. Which do you think it is? Now, he looked pretty relieved and happy today. And you kind of get the impression that there's not a lot of friendship and love between the Bidens and Kamala Harris and her husband, whatever his name is, I forget his name.
But Doug, he's over there all smiles. And so this existential threat to our democracy, if you listen to the view, which I cannot imagine you would, but let me just put it out there. Maybe you do.
Maybe you had a temporary lapse in judgment or you were overcome like King Saul was by the crazy spirit and you need some good music to help you get away from that. And you listen to the view. But these women were shrieking about how Trump's going to come in and put them in internment camps. What do you suppose all that incendiary rhetoric does to people out there who believe these people? I mean, I don't see how you can believe Joe Biden if he was serious about what he's saying. Why is he shaking hands with this guy?
Why does he welcome him into the White House? These are things that make you say, hmm, is he lying? Is it just rhetoric? Is it just campaign rhetoric? Is it just part of the game?
And if it is, then what do we do about this next time? Charles Krauthammer, one of my all time favorites. I just love the way this man would think and say things. He said, every two years with American politics, the American politics industry fills the airways with the most virulent, scurrilous, wall-to-wall character assassinations of nearly every political practitioner in the country and then declares itself puzzled that America has lost trust in its politicians. And that's the true story. Somebody said, well, Trump's not the right guy.
And I remember this guy telling me this. Trump's not the right guy. He can't win. He can't do this.
It would be anybody but Trump. And I said, if it was anybody but Trump, they would do the same thing to that person. This is what we do. This is the machinations of character assassination that we have in this country. Can we stem the tide of that as Christians? Are we contributing to that or are we helping abate that? Are we victims or perpetrators? Are we bystanders or participants?
That's a good question. We'll talk about that some more when we come back. This is Peter Rosenberger and this is Truth Talk Live, 866-34, truth 866-348, 7884. Don't go away. We'll be right back. You're listening to the Truth Network and truthnetwork.com Welcome back to Truth Talk Live. This is Peter Rosenberger, PeterRosenberger.com, R-O-S-E-N-B-E-R-G-E-R. And if you want to be a part of the program, 866-34, truth 866-348, 7884. I want to go to Scripture.
That's always a great place to go. And I wanted to share with you in Daniel chapter 2. Do you know what happened in Daniel chapter 2? The king had this dream over in Babylon, the captivity, and Daniel was considered one of the wise men.
He was pretty high up official and quite revered from what I can tell in Scripture and well thought of. Very, very smart man. The king had this dream and he called all his advisors in and he said, I want you to interpret my dream, but I'm not going to tell you what it was. And if you don't get it right, I'm going to tear you limb from limb.
How's that for job security? We thought Trump was volatile with this guy. He's going to tear him limb from limb. And you can just see it. It's almost understated. If you go back and read it, just take a moment and read it. You're almost seeing these guys look at the king like, dude, this is tough, man.
This is a hard one. They don't say dude, but that's the more contemporary version translation. But they're incredulous over what do we do about this? And Daniel is talking with his buddies. He's got these guys, friends I can't pronounce their names, not Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.
This is much later. And he's praying with these guys and they're talking about this and the king is getting ready to start killing all these advisors. And Daniel knows the captain of the guard or one of those guys and he gets word to him saying, hey, set an appointment with the king.
I'm going to interpret his dream. Which is an astonishing act of faith. But that's how Daniel operated.
And if you go back and look in there in chapter 2 and pick it up in chapter 20. And Daniel said, blessed be the name of God forever and ever. He knows all.
Does all. He changes the seasons and guides history. He raises up kings and also brings them down. He provides both intelligence and discernment. That's from the message.
Here it is from the English Standard Version. Blessed be the name of God forever and ever to whom belong wisdom and might. He changes times and seasons.
He removes kings and sets up kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding. And I think we could spend an awful lot of time in that verse of recognizing where Daniel planted his understanding. Where Daniel hung out.
He camped there. He recognizes that God was sovereign over this. And today you can't help but see the image. There's Biden shaking hands with a guy who's called an existential threat to democracy. Biden who couldn't put three sentences together and was forced out. I think there's no love lost between he and Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer. And I don't think there's any love lost between he and the Obamas and Kamala. I think all these guys are all upset at each other and Trump comes in like a bullet train and you've got all that drama.
It's intriguing to see and it's all the intrigue of the palace kind of thing. But over all of that, transcending every bit of that, is this verse that Daniel says, Under the tutelage and the supervision of the Holy Spirit, blessed be the name of God forever and ever, to whom belong wisdom and might. He changes times and seasons.
He removes kings and sets up kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding. Does that bring you comfort? Does that strengthen you?
Does that bolster you? In times of, you remember during the COVID, they had those ridiculous commercials, they would say, in these uncertain times, you know, in these uncertain times, when have they ever been certain? Let me ask you something. When have you ever been certain? These are certain times. Now, last week wasn't so certain, but today is a certain time.
Times have never been certain for us. But they are for God because He sets them up. He says, He changes times and seasons. He's over this.
These are under His dominion. And whatever king we see, however evil or wicked or inept or whatever it is, I am bolstered in my faith knowing that God is sovereign over all of that and strengthened over this. And when we see today, we see how foolish this whole thing is. Joe Biden has worked up half the country into a froth, and then Kamala and her cohorts did the same thing.
And Oprah, she paid Oprah a million dollars to work up everybody into a froth to tell how evil Donald Trump and his supporters are. And then he shows up at the White House, we're shaking hands, and we're going to do everything we can to accommodate you. Well, is he evil or not? You see how foolish these people are. And it gives me great comfort to know that God is over all of this.
That these guys are not what's driving the world. God sets these things up, and He gives us the rulers we deserve. Well, I'm praying that He doesn't give us the rulers we deserve. And we have a bit of a reprieve right now from a lot of the craziness of the woke stuff, of the transgender stuff, of the anti-Israel stuff, and all this kind of stuff. We have a bit of a reprieve, not a total reprieve, but at least a 30-second timeout.
Not a real long timeout in football, just a quick one to catch our breath a little bit. And the question is, are we then going to use this opportunity to regroup as believers and step into a place of leadership in our culture? Or are we going to continue to advocate this role like we've done in the past? And we go over here and we build our big churches, we have our big mega churches, we do our thing, we have our little sequestered stuff, and they'll just have to be on there.
I don't see that God calls us. Daniel was right in the middle of all this and he called up the king's guard and he said, Look, get me an appointment with the guy. I'll do this. Don't kill all these people.
I'll deal with this. He stood up. He was a man of God. And he went on faith knowing that God was not only going to give him the interpretation of the dream, He was going to tell him what the dream was. And this king was pretty upset about it. And he was going to do this. Go read the text, Daniel chapter 2. That took an enormous amount of faith on Daniel's part to boldly do that, to make the call. He said, Don't kill those guys. I'll step up. And he said, But it's all framed by blessed be the name of God forever and ever to whom belong wisdom and might.
It changes times and seasons. It's just this crescendo cadence of affirming that God is sovereign over all of this. So today I saw a very weak president who has evidently lied so much that it's like breathing to him about the nature of Donald Trump smiling and laughing and cutting up and shaking hands and saying, I'm going to do everything I can to help you, to make this easy on you, to accommodate you. That's a weak man. And when we're faced with this kind of weakness and the frailty of the human condition, and I don't mean the frailty of our mortal bodies that we were subject to being injured in death. I'm talking about the frailty of our character.
You know, I don't know if you knew this, but this is kind of a little bit of a tangent. And you all just look at me with a raised eyebrow like Spock if you want to. But Gene Roddenberry, the creator of Star Trek, that was his big thing. Is that by the 24th century when you have Star Trek when it's supposed to take place, the 23rd century, whatever, that human beings are evolving. We're more sophisticated. We're better people. We're evolving. And we're going to be like a super race. Ultimately, that's founded in a belief that we're going to be like God. We're going to become gods. Like the Tower of Babel, we shall ascend like Satan said.
He wanted to ascend and supplant God. Scripture teaches very clearly we're not evolving. We're not getting better. Billy Graham said it years ago. He said, we haven't invented any new sins.
We just do them more efficiently. But we're not inventing anything new. The human heart is not evolving. And the cure for that is not affirmation and telling everybody, oh, you're going to get your breakthrough and it's going to be this and this.
The human heart is beyond that. The cure for this is far more dire. It's crucifixion. Jesus said it.
Take up your cross and follow it. That's not a message that you're going to hear an awful lot. Because it's hard to raise money with that, isn't it?
That's a hard sell. But that's what Scripture says because the condition is so dire that we have to kill the patient. And trust that God will resurrect what He'll resurrect.
Who wants to join me on that one? But that's what Scripture teaches. Paul says, I have been crucified with Christ.
I no longer live the life I live in the body. I live by faith in the Son of God. And that faith, that's what we do when we go out into the world.
When Daniel calls up that guard. All of this is by faith saying, I will serve the Most High. It's not my life.
It's His. And that is Truth Talk Live. This is Peter Rosenberger.
We'll be right back. You're listening to the Truth Network and truthnetwork.com. Music Welcome back to Truth Talk Live.
This is Peter Rosenberger. Glad that you're with us. 86634 Truth.
86634 Truth. By the way, it's almost 2025. I've got a caregiver calendar I made. Through Standing With Hope you can go out there and see it and get involved with it. It's a great calendar.
What I did is I took pictures. And I put quotes on there for family caregivers that just kind of drive the point home of something to remember to think about. And you'll love it. And we give these away as gifts to folks who want to get involved in helping us at Standing With Hope. And you can see more about that at standingwithhope.com.
And just take a look. And it's almost Giving Tuesday. Which comes up here very shortly.
And it's the end of the year. And if you want to be a part of what we're doing to help give the gift that keeps on walking with prosthetic legs, we have a family caregiver outreach. It's for the wounded and those who care for them.
That's what we do. Gracie and I started this many years ago and we welcome your help. StandingWithHope.com slash giving. Mike in Dayton, Ohio. Mike, welcome to the program. How are you feeling? I'm feeling good. You know, I hate to brag on myself, but, you know, I just looked like I was listening while I was on hold that, you know. By the way, Mike, it's not bragging if it's true.
You know, it's not bragging if it's true. I just worry about today. I don't worry about tomorrow. I don't worry about I used to.
Oh, believe me, when I was young. Oh, my gosh. What am I going to do tomorrow?
What am I going to have? Well, I got to make sure I can achieve my family. You know, when I put my cares upon God, it all changed that perspective. You know, I mean, it just God. Tell me, tell me, tell me why.
Yeah. Tell me why. The reason why is because I get I have a relationship with God. The more I understand who God is, the more I just God says, just don't worry about it, Mike. Put it put my cares on you on you on me. God God will direct your path.
Oh, my gosh, you will. He he he directs every path of every believer. But the problem is we want to be selfish and we want to do things our way and not his way. And I love what is the scripture? What is the scripture about him directing our paths? Trust in the Lord with all your heart, your own understanding, but all your ways.
Acknowledge him and he'll make your past straight. There it is. Yeah.
Yeah. You know, I'm a little nervous talking on the radio, on the phone. Oh, you know, it's just you and me, Mike.
It's just you and me. Yeah, I'm trying. I'm trying. And, you know, it's just we just need to not put our trust in men, put our trust in God. We don't need to trust our job that they're going to provide for us every day. We don't need to trust the government.
They're going to they're going to make energy. We definitely don't need to trust the government. Yeah, exactly. I mean, we definitely don't. And, you know, we do need to make wise decisions.
I totally agree with that. I mean, we need to make super wise decisions in our daily life. You know, how we how we live our lives, how we provide for our family. That's the biblical anyways, too. But we don't need to worry about it. You know, we don't need to be selfish about it.
We need to take up our cross and follow God, you know, and understand what God wants us to do. And then that's not easy. That's a daily struggle for everyone.
You know, I was listening to Robbie the other day. You know, he was saying, you know, forgiving your your fellow men, you know, forgiveness. Well, that's that's really hard when someone comes up against you and just does something evil to you. It's really hard to be a forgiving person. Well, let's go deeper on that, Mike, because a lot of people in our culture, we have watered down the word forgiveness. We think, well, we say, OK, so it's OK. It's OK. No, it's not OK. It's never going to be OK. Not on this earth, but it will be OK in God's kingdom. And forgiveness doesn't mean it doesn't matter.
It means that you're going to take to your point of what you said, you're going to take your hands off of someone else's throat. And you're going to trust them to God, ultimately to God. Sometimes he may use the authorities of this world, the legal system of this world, the punitive penal system of this this world.
He may use all kinds of things. But ultimately, what we're saying is an act of faith. Just like Daniel said when I was talking about this in the second block, that God is the one that is superintending all of this. And we can trust him even with the injustices, knowing that he is going to bring his justice. My father used to say, God's justice grinds slow but exceedingly fine.
And we don't have to do that. You know, and people don't like the word devil. I hate to say that, but people don't like the word devil. But you understanding the devil, he's the big person who wants to accuse you of everything that you do wrong. Everything you do wrong, he wants to accuse you of it. I mean, and then he wants to use other people to accuse you. Well, that's his nickname.
His nickname is the accuser of the brethren. Right. And we start trying to defend ourselves instead of just keep following, God, help me, give me the right decisions. Let me deal with this the right way. How do I deal with that person who's accusing me?
What do I do with this? And you use the Holy Spirit involved within your heart and understanding God's word and prayer and fasting, then that way you can make right decisions and those circumstances go away. Well, a friend of mine once said, when you get into an accusatory battle with the devil, you just simply plead guilty and go straight to execution. And we identify with Christ and his death. And that's what Paul says. I have been crucified with Christ.
I no longer live. And we trust God to resurrect whatever he's going to resurrect. We don't have this thing of, no, I've got to defend myself.
I've got to do this. No, we don't got to do anything other than place our trust in the Lord and he will direct our steps. And that's a good word, Mike, and I appreciate you sharing it with it, because it does take the pressure off of us that we don't have to freak out because of what Daniel said there. And you see the foolishness of this world.
I mean, Charles de Gaulle, the great French leader, said, Politics is too serious a matter to be left in the hands of politicians. So you see the foolishness of this world. When you see what we saw today, when all this lying and all this stuff going on, and so that's why when we place our trust in God, it transcends all of that nonsense. Can I give you an example of what somebody accused me of? I was in a bowling alley and I was talking to a man who was a gay person. And another Christian came up to me and said, Why are you talking to him? He's gay. You shouldn't talk to him.
That's a season thin. I said, Yeah, you know, I know that. And he knows where I stand.
And you know what? I was talking to him about God. Maybe we should talk to him, talk to more gay people, and maybe they understand that, you know, that everyone's in sin and everyone needs forgiveness. Well, your friend that came up and said that to you needs to understand the gospel a little bit better.
And you might want to spend some time talking to them and explaining to them that Jesus loved us while we were in me. And we're all born lying, thieving, homosexuals, adulterers, murderers at heart. We're guilty of any of the law.
We're guilty of all of the law. And your friend might want to understand that a little bit more. So I would split your time between your gay friend and the other friend and make sure they both understand the gospel. Oh, yeah. And that's what I try to do. I mean, I'm not perfect at it, you know what I mean? But I'm trying to go towards that direction.
And as long as men keep going towards God and pray for our country and do the right direction, I think God will use people even like me, and he does every day. And I am humbled to say that, you know what I mean? I'm grateful for your insights, Mike. And thank you so much for calling, and thanks for weighing in on this conversation today.
Good word. I appreciate it very much. And that's the whole point of all of this, is that we recognize that God is sovereign over all of these things. And we have work to do. He has invited us to be a part of his great work. Pray to the Lord of the harvest that he raise up workers to go out into the field.
They're white with harvest. And do we believe this or not? I mean, this is the question I ask of myself and I ask of you.
Do you believe this or not? And it's like that guy comes and says, why are you talking to that gay guy? Who else is going to talk to him? What do you want me to do?
Not talk to him? Somebody talk to you? Somebody told you, you didn't just magically show up and say, okay, I'm a Christian now.
Are you kidding? God drew you and used people to speak the word of the Lord to you. I mean, it's a foolish thing that we've allowed into our Christian culture, particularly in this country. We left critical thinking several exits back. We don't even approach this thing with any kind of sense of common sense. We talk to people. We spend time with them. We listen to people. We share things with them.
And most importantly, we bear witness to what we have seen and experienced in our life. And the moment we start classifying one sinner as not worthy of us talking to, then we are in great danger ourselves. That is not the heart of Christ. He went to sinners. He came to us.
He condescended to us. None of us seek after God. Scripture says this. None of us seek after God.
He draws us. While we were in enmity with Him, He gave His life for us. That's truth talk life.
That is truth talk life. And this is Peter Rosenberger. Would you go out to PeterRosenberger.com?
