Sometimes you wonder which way is up, which way is down, what's right, what's wrong in our culture. It seems like it's getting more and more chaotic with Islam becoming a part of American politics, socialism. Marxism, communism is becoming more prevalent.

So, somebody's got to write a book. And talk about the war of reality, the war on reality. What is going on?

Well, the guy that's done that is on the phone. Right now, his name is Frank Turek. Frank, brother, I Of a better time to talk to you about this, man. Can you bring some sense into this crazy world, brother?

Well, Stu, you know the world's gone crazy since the Garden of Eden. But it's really gotten crazy in the past 10 years. I mean, who knew we would have people telling us that men can have babies and there are an infinite number of genders and abortion is health care and Islam means peace and all of this stuff when in fact we know the exact opposite is true in all of those assertions. Many more issues we bring up in the book The War on Reality, which, by the way, is dedicated to Charlie Kirk. The first chapter tells what happened that day when he was murdered, and what led up to that day, and what happened afterwards.

But Charlie was somebody, as you know, who was fighting for reality when many people were fighting against it. And the foreword, by the way, is by Erica Kirk. Wow, and Frank, you were there with Charlie when he was assassinated. We're almost at the. One year anniversary of that, a tragic day, just cut down.

In broad daylight, for standing up for truth, for compassionately having a conversation. What was it like being there? That was out in Utah, Frank, and just your life kind of went a little crazy after that, didn't it, brother? Yeah, it's been a crazy year. I'm more concerned with Erica than anybody.

I mean, she's a very strong woman, but. You can only take so much when it comes to all these crazy, sinister, demonic conspiracy theories, which have no basis in fact. Here she is trying to mourn her. Fallen husband, bringing up two kids, and trying to lead the organization that he built. And yet, all she is is under attack all the time.

And she's a very strong woman, very strong Christian, but. I would say just continue to pray for her. As for me, I've been going to a lot of college campuses. Presenting uh The evidence that Christianity is true and doing just what Charlie would want us to do. That's why I was with him.

We were trying to help one another do that on college campuses.

So we know that he's absent from the body, but present with the Lord, because there's evidence that Jesus rose from the dead. And if that's the case, We know where he is. We just got to carry on here to continue the making heaven crowded. Yeah.

Well, Frank Dirk, you were a huge mentor to Charlie. You've really been a mentor to a whole bunch of us, brother. We watch your videos, we hear your tapes, we see you handling those tough questions about God, about apologetics. And, you know, a lot of folks think, oh, this guy's some right-wing political activist. But at the end of the day, you're trying to introduce people to Jesus Christ, brother.

And how important is that? Above all, the fray of the politics, but you got it, it's all about Christian worldview, too. Give us the clarity of that and how this book, The War on Reality, you're kind of in-game with this book. Yeah, first chapter of the book, as I say, we talk about what happened leading up to that day and that day. And just two nights prior to Charlie being murdered, we were On a long walk together talking about these issues, and the three issues he brought up, Stu.

Where the government, and particularly he was concerned about Islam, because as we know, Islam is not compatible with the United States Constitution or Christianity. Wherever Islam is put into place, often Sharia law is put into place and our freedoms go away. Secondly, he was interested in the evidence for Christianity, particularly the resurrection. How can we show Jesus rose from the dead? Because if Jesus rose from the dead, game over Christianity is true.

And the third issue he was. concerned about on that long walk that night, September 8th last year was The family, how could he get his generation to embrace the family and marriage?

Now, in retrospect, thinking back on it, Stu, I said, wow, Charlie was talking about the three institutions God created: the government, the church, and the family. And we have to be concerned with all of those. Of course, our first duty and responsibility is to make disciples of all nations. But what people seem to forget is politics affects our ability to do that. Because if I always hear people saying, I just preach the gospel, I don't get involved in politics.

And I say to them, I guess you don't think the gospel is very important then. And they say, what do you mean? You say, because politics affects your ability to preach and live the gospel. If you don't think so, you can go to some of the countries I've been to. I've been to Iran.

There's no First Baptist Church of Tehran. I check Stu. It's not there. I've been to Saudi Arabia. There's no Calvary Chapel of Mecca.

They don't allow it. Wow. I just got back not long ago from Egypt. If you want to start Grace Church in Egypt, you're going to have trouble politically.

So politics affects our ability to preach and live the gospel. And secondly, we're, and this is all in books of one, but secondly, Have been involved in politics 165 years ago to outlaw slavery. Is that what you're telling me? And they all go, No, we should have.

Okay, well, welcome to politics. Politics is important. As Charlie would say, it's not our first responsibility, but it helps us achieve our first responsibility, and that is to make disciples of all nations. That's so well stated. Frank Turek, this new book, I know it's going to do well.

It's just out: The War on Reality. Frank, a lot of people listening, a lot of young people, very sadly, are jumping on this communist bandwagon. They're just going out. Hey, we got this. Hey, this politician, man, he's going to pay for all of our health care.

He's going to pay for our Medicare. He's going to give us all this money. All these ruthless capitalists, you know, making all the money. We're going to level the playing field. Can you give us a little quick history lesson?

I know you get into it in your book about the dangers. This could be the nail in the coffin of the American experience if these socialists, these communists, Marxists get into power. Can you talk real quick about that, especially? All these young people that that may may need a little history lesson. Yeah, many people do you know, Stu, who are getting on rickety boats in Florida trying to escape to Cuba?

None. How many caravans are going from the United States to Venezuela? None. How many people tried to escape West Berlin to get into East Berlin when they had the Berlin Wall? None.

Why? Because socialism and communism, they don't work. They create poverty and they also lead to murder. The last century, 100 million people were murdered by their own socialist/slash communist governments. What socialism and communism does, it does exactly the opposite of what it says.

It rewards the elites and the the masses then suffer in poverty. It doesn't, you don't take money from the elites and spread it out so everybody gets the same. That doesn't work in human nature anyway. In fact, we tried that with William Branford Branford when he came over on the Mayflower. He tried to use socialism the first year.

He said, We're all going to just farm together and share the food. And they nearly many of them starved to death. The next year, he said, You know what? We're going to give each family a field and let them keep what they grow. And they had more food, they had a surplus of food because people, labor, are going to work hard.

If you try and Make it a communist kind of thing, it doesn't work.

So, communism is a disaster. We all know it. And these people pushing it just want to tear America down and put people in poverty. Crank, tell us what the The best way to get this book and tell us. Kind of your passion, man, for this book.

You've spent a life just pouring into people. I hear you. I love hearing you on the radio. I love. hearing you speak in person, man.

You've been a friend for a long time. You've been on the show a long time. Give us kind of your. overall passion and the best way folks can get a hold of this book.

Well, they go to the reality.com and they can read Erica Kirk's foreword. They don't need to buy the book to read it. It's very profound. Erica is a very brilliant woman. And one of the things she says in the foreword is: you know, I had a new reality that was put upon me last year when my husband was murdered.

And he said, or she said, I found out that denying that reality does not bring peace, surrendering to it does. And too many people are trying to fight reality. Look, reality is undefeated. You're not going to win against reality. You're going to wind up hurting yourself and hurting others if you try and fight against reality.

Now, this book goes through all the places we're trying to fight reality right now. And they can get it at Amazon or Christian Books. And if they it comes out September 8th, Stu, but if they preorder it, it'll help more people see the book. It'll get it into secular bookstores. Right now it's in the top 100 at Amazon.

But the more people buy it, the better. And if they buy it now, And put their receipt into thewaronreality.com. We're going to send them chapter 10. And chapter 10 is one of the most important chapters because once you see the chart on page 192 in chapter 10, you're going to know exactly why we have such a crazy world right now because it shows you the oppressed oppressor binary that cultural Marxists put on us. You know, Stu, if you're a white heterosexual male who is a citizen, you're automatically considered an oppressor.

If you don't have those categories, you're automatically considered oppressed. And this is where DEI comes from and cultural Marxism. It comes from this binary, oppressed, oppressor.

So if people buy the book now, we're going to send that chapter to them right away. Check it out. Get the book, The War on Reality, by my friend Frank Turek, forward by Erica Kirk. And be sure you come here, Frank.

Some of you, there's a men's event, October the 20th, coming up. Frank's going to be speaking at that at the hometown men's fellowship at Richard Childress Racing. We'll tell you more about that on some of our affiliates for our North Carolina friends. But Frank goes all over the country. Pray for him, friends.

Pray for him as he's on the front lines, like an Apostle Paul in the Arachabus, in the, you know, over there in the Pantheon there in Athens, like Paul in Acts 17, preaching the gospel, answering the tough questions. Frank, what's your website folks want to? get more of your content, make sure they're they're locked in. I want you're the guy I want all the kids to follow on Instagram and on Facebook and on Twitter and everything. What's your uh what's the best website for for Frank Turek?

Yes, thanks. It's crosexamined.org. Cross examined with a D on the end of it.org. Our YouTube channel is cross-examined two words. And we have a podcast twice a week called I Don't Have Enough Faith to Be an Atheist, the I Don't Have Enough Faith to Be an Atheist podcast.

So yes, crose-examine.org is probably the easiest place to access any of that. Should tell the blind
