Mm. If you've noticed, it seems like when the headlines are filled with missiles and shelters and war, it's easy to forget, right, that the kingdom of God is still advancing. It's more than amazing, and I think you're going to be more than thrilled to hear what we have for you today on Truth Talk Live as We have Pastor Michael. Sadovowski and his interpreter Roman with him. They are from Israel and certainly their families are experiencing this, as I have personally, in a in a bomb shelter in Israel about a year ago.

But they are here Because it's a live show, and we want to interact with you guys, give you guys a chance to see, number one, like if you're like me and you thought, what? You can't share the gospel in Israel. It's against the law. You can't just talk about Jesus openly in the streets, but you're going to be shocked at how God is working this out through this amazing ministry where the International Commission. But here's the question I would like you to consider, to call in today.

Have you ever seen God open a door that, like, in the middle of a crisis, like. What an opportunity to share the gospel. When people really are scared, when people really have a need and they really are sensing a Something's going on in their life. So welcome, Pastor. It's great to have you here, Michael. Shalom. Shalom. That's a good word.

I think I know what that means. It's a great word. I have Doc here with me, and so good. Dr. Date Ward.

And so I got to tell you that You know, my first question. when I began to st to talk to him, Doc, was like... Wait a minute, you share the gospel in Israel? How exactly do you do that in Roman. Of course, he's interpreting for Michael, but it's more than amazing, really, when you think about it.

Roman, it's not that hard if you happen to be born in Israel, right? Uh, yes, it's not that hard, but it is still complicated, and there's still levels to it.

So there's some things that we still need to follow and make sure that we're doing so that it doesn't become illegal. Right. But came in Israel, he came into the country as He was he was born in Russia to a Jewish family. Uh yes. And because when he came into the country, he came in fully Jewish.

Interestingly, a little bit familiar with the story. He, um came to c know Christ in a dramatic way, right, Roman? Uh yes, definitely. Uh share scale is probably uh CD, but I think it's a good idea. Uh yeah, radio Soviets come so I I I borrowed in Russia, in the Soviet Union.

And I was born in a Jewish atheist family. My grand grandmothers and grandfathers were born in Poland. They were born into Jewish traditions and in synagogues. And in the year 1917, when Russia and Germany divided Poland, my family ended up on the Soviet side. And when I was born, I was already born in an atheist Jewish family.

And as I was growing up, I grew up in a family where we didn't speak about a Jewish family. We hid the fact that we are Jewish. Only later on I found out that my family changed their last names and all of that. And as I was growing up, I never heard even anything mentioned about plastic. And as most Soviet kids, I was growing up.

I finished the university and in the year 1995, like an epidemic, drugs came into the Soviet Union. And in one year, thousands of people of the ones that I know tried hard drugs. Me Oswald. And for the next 10 years, I was using heroin every single day. And in the year 1998, I made an aliyah.

I immigrated to Israel. At this point, still addicted to Israel? Yes. As a Jew, I immigrated into Israel. Hoping that my life will change over there.

But nothing did. I continued to use an Israel heroin the same. And in the year 2005, on the 29th of March, that's my birthday. I was turning 33 years old. It is an amazing date.

I was awaiting it. But when does it? I have never had a worse day of my life. I'm a drug addict. I don't have strength to live.

I don't have a will to live. I don't want to live anymore. And that evening of my birthday in the Tel Aviv region of Yafo, I met a person and we started talking with him. And for some reason, I opened up to him. And I told him, I'm 33 today.

And I don't want to live anymore. No one said happy birthday to me. And he told me, Buddy, you don't need to die because Yeshua died for you. And I asked him, Who died for me? He told me this amazing story that I've never heard before in my life.

He says, To me, do you want to come with me to your rehabilitation home? And I came with him. And I became one of his first students and rehabilitants. And that person became my friend. My pastor.

My spiritual father. His name was Vladimir. Ten years ago, he came up to be able to be able to be able to be able to do it. And today I continue his work in Israel. Yeah, and you do as well, Rome, right?

What a miraculous thing. On his birthday, right? And for those who may not be familiar, Jesus, Yeshua, Yeshua is the way you would say Jesus in Hebrew. And so. It really spectacular testimony that you can see came in, and now.

He can't help but talk about it, right? Yes, definitely.

So, three, and the two. When we started our ministry, that was the year 2005. God gave us a word from the 10th chapter of Matthew. He said, Go to the last sheep of the house of Israel. In the Russian translation, it says, Dying sheep of Israel.

So we took that literally. Those that live today and tomorrow will die. Those of drug addicts, alcoholics, homelessness, criminals. By that sound, you can hear the break is coming, and I bet you might have a question, or you might. Have a situation that's similar, we would love your calls.

Toe pastors from Israel in one of the largest Messianic communities in Israel. It may be the largest, from understand. But as we heard in the first segment, and if you didn't get to hear it, you ought to go back and listen to the podcast. One of the most amazing testimonies. I've heard Of how he was in Russia.

I had no idea. That um that people sent drugs into Russia, what a horrible thing, and what a horrible thing that so many were caught up in it. But it's amazing how often God works through something like that, Doc. And he came to faith. As a Jew in Israel, right?

Yeah. As this happened. And then, you know, during the break, as you might imagine, you know, Doc had to look up his birthday verse because he said it was March the 29th. And it was not only his physical birthday, it ended up being his second. Rebirth birthday, right?

As well. And so, Doc, en enlighten our listeners. It's amazing. It is. I love it how some of these verses just so fit.

And the verse says Galatians three twenty nine. And it says, And if you are Christ, then you are Abraham's seed. and heirs according to the promise. And so Michael, he's got the double.

Well, he's got the double birthday, and then he's got the double that he is Abraham's seed, and then as well as being in Christ. But we were talking during the break, and it's truly amazing. I don't think I'd ever looked at the word. In Matthew 10:6, of what's translated in English lost, but when you look at it in Greek, it To be dead is a whole lot more accurate. And what what they were talking about right before the break, and unfortunately got interrupted, Roman.

That you are going to the drug addicts and the people that are literally not just spiritually dead, but they're. they're really hurting. And and with the ministry that Vladimir, there's not you who originally you spoke to, that Vladimir had. Um brought you into now you guys are Are reaching out to those people, and that's a big part of obviously those people that are in need like you were in. Yes.

Um we can continue speaking about how our ministry started going growing.

So we went to the dying sheep of Israel and we started growing. More and more people would come and give their lives. Would come to our rehabilitation center? And in a miraculous way, we were given an ability to rent a big Catholic monastery on the center of the top of the Mount Carmel. And that is where a ministry will be people from the alcoholic of prostitutes, prostitutes, criminals, everybody.

In that monastery, always more than a hundred people would live. In 15 years, about 10,000 people went through this monastery. I was the pastor in that place. And I lived there together with my family. I got married, I had two kids.

And for 18 years, I lived in that monastery. More than 10,000 people lived in the world. The terms of private space or zone of comfort did not exist in my life at all. My wife and kids are. If you're the pastor and I heard all these people that.

obviously have these horrible addictions and All sorts of brokenness, you could imagine with you and your family. I know I am a pastor, so I know what it's like to not have that kind of you can imagine, Doc. I mean, not having any personal space would be an understatement, you know, because you're ministering on. To everyone, you don't want anyone to be turned away. And bringing life to that which is dead takes time.

That's quite the. quite the story. Right, there you are on the top of Mount Carmel, you still have the the same facility? No, and they took it away from us. But that is the place where everything started.

Then, in that place, God gave us a second word from the same chapter of Matthew that 23 in the second half. Jesus said to his disciples that you won't make it to all of the cities of Israel as I will return. And we took that literally as well. That we need to go to every city of Israel as his disciples. Because to the disciples that he said that to, he didn't make it to all of Israel because Israel was destroyed.

So when Israel came back and asked us his disciples, we understood that we need to go to the Israelites. And we opened the Bible school. And all the guys and girls from the rehab were sent to the Bible school was in that same monastery. Today we had about 44 graduation classes. About 50 of those students became pastors.

And after every single Bible school, we would make a team and would send them to different cities of Israel. And we would start different ministries, a soup kitchen for homeless, in Tel Aviv, and Haifa, rehab homes, in seven cities around Israel, humanitarian warehouses for new immigrants and refugees. Ministry for Holocaust survivors in different cities. Youth homes and youth ministry. And today we have about 40 of these locations in 24 cities of Israel.

Yeah. Mm-hmm.

So Wow. Clearly, you speak you're speaking Russian. Yes. But in Israel do you speak Hebrew? Between us we speak Russian.

I want to mention that the Russian-speaking Aliyah is very, very big. Today it makes up about a quarter of the population of Israel. Speak Russian. Those are people from the 15 countries of the Soviet Union. Also, 80% of homeless people in Israel are Russian-speaking.

It's very hard to be an alien. You come as a normal person, but there's economical, social, mental problems, and you kind of get behind in life. And you kind of get run over. The people that we would take to our rehab. A lot of them in the ex-Soviet Union were military men, officers, doctors, teachers, athletes, and they ended up in the streets.

And we went to these people. But today, the audience that we go to, we go to the Russian-speaking Today people. The Russian-speaking audience, the people are the most open to hearing the gospel. Fascinating.

You know, as the bombs are flying and people are... You know, I can't imagine.

Well, I can somewhat because I've been to Israel, plus, I have an interview with a Orthodox rabbi every week as I do a show called Robbie and the Rabbi. And I know his concern in Israel for what's going on right now in Iran. And it seems to be getting more heated by the minute. And so for such a time as this, right, God is. Clearly, at work in ways that I had no idea, and I'm sure you're excited to hear about this today.

So, we have Michael Sedovowski and his interpreter, Roman, with us. Actively sharing. God to the Jewish people themselves. Messianic Jews, and so it's amazing thing with International Commission, which has. Yeah, got They're sharing Christ around the world.

And this is a special opportunity that we have here in Israel with Pastor. And so to kind of pick up the conversation when we Went to the last break. We were talking about, oh my goodness, God. Knew something that, wow, he comforts this pastor, like it would say in 2 Corinthians, and then this pastor, having been freed from this addiction to heroin, which I had no idea was the problem it was in Russia, is now able to comfort others with the way he's been comforted. And then, fascinatingly, They're in this Catholic monastery.

For a season, as they grow in numbers and grow in strength of their ministry, and then they branch out to begin this. Um Spread across the entire country to get the gospel and to teach about Yeshua again to. And what a vision. Every village. Every village in Israel.

They want to get the gospel to every village. And so as the war, like October 7th, did that change something? For us? Yeah We continue to serve people. First of all, we have the commandment to do good things because Jesus said that seeing your good deeds.

There are so many people in need today. And they need to just feel the love of the Father. Those are the new immigrants. The ones that fled not too long ago from one war from Russia and Ukraine and they came into another war and they're in shock. It's very hard for them.

We try to help and comfort these people. We don't hide our faith. We pray for them. We try to help them. Psychologically, mentally, spiritually.

Or older people. The ones that lived through the Holocaust. In the times of these alarms and the sirens, they can't even go and get groceries because the siren can catch them and they won't be able to make it. We go to these people to just give them a bag of groceries or our soup kitchen of homeless. Thousands of people go through it every month.

And for the whole world, we've been open. Because for the least of these. Nothing changes. They are in need. Wow.

So another thing that just news flashed for Robbie, imagine, imagine a lot of listeners with the same. issue A lot of immigrants k have come out of the g and naturally they too would spin s speak Russian for obvious reasons. But y uh there's a lot of immigrants coming from the war in Ukraine. Yes, they're they're every single day. Russian aliyah is the biggest.

Yeah. Oh, I would I would imagine that they're coming from Ukraine and th and I you know There's Hundreds of millions of Jews in the Ukraine, obviously, and I had never even thought about them fleeing to Israel. And then, oh, here they are in another war. and certainly in all sorts of needs, and God has got you Right there. And do they usually come into Tel Aviv?

In all cities, but a lot of people end up in these hardships. For example, the kids in the parents who are new immigrants have to work really hard from morning to night. And kids are left to their own devices. And we know, at least I know, what it is to grow up in the street. And these kids and youth try the drugs or something else.

And we try to minister to these kids, with youth conferences, camps, or large invite their classmates and their friends. Our kids are sabers. They were born in Israel. They're full Jews. They're circumcised on the eighth day.

And not long ago, I was talking to my friends. He studies in a big school. There are 2,000 students there. And there's not one believer in Yeshua in that school. And he was talking to his friends.

And they told me if you believe in Yeshua, you can't be a Jew. He's like, what do you mean? How? My mom and dad are Jews. I'm circumcised.

I follow all traditions of holidays. And they say, let's ask Chad GPT. And Chad GPT said no. And he lost the argument. And he came home.

And I told him, ask them a question. Who do you think is a true Jew? Are the Orthodox Jews? The one that study in Yeshua. The secular Jews that only go to synagogue on holidays.

Is it you who believe in Yeshua? Or the Jews in Asia that look for Buddha or Krishna for the truth. Or the hundreds of thousands. Of Jews that are a part of the LGBT community. Who do you think is the true Jew?

And when I was speaking to them, suddenly I received the word from Matthew that Yeshua was looking at his people and he saw how scattered they were like sheep without a shepherd. I think Yeshua is looking in the same way at our people and they're scattered. They don't have a shepherd. It's an interesting time for our kids to hold their faith and bring it to their school, to the army, to the university and to say it bravely in their native tongue between themselves, they speak Hebrew. We're their parents.

We speak Russian, but they are Roman, like they speak three languages on the same level: Russian, Hebrew, and English. It's a different generation. And it will be their time. When they're not aliens like me. They are Sabras.

Frown.

So, yeah, you can see that it is, it's not just, okay, we're going to reach. These You know, if you're An individual, we're going to reach the country for Christ, but then we have our own families. But that We got to help support them through you know, the persecution they're obviously going to feel. As it tells us in the Beatitudes, if you're making. Progress, you know, don't be surprised if you face persecution.

And so here it comes. And uh God gives you a word in order to arm against that. Your thoughts, Doc?

Well, I just love what I'm hearing and the passion. The vision that God is giving you. Um And to be right there in the land of... Uh Abraham. And uh Jesus.

But now we call it the Holy Land. We'd love to go visit, but you're right there with a greater purpose sharing Christ daily. Uh I I We maybe revisit, again, the receptivity you're getting. Um, as as the someone is dealing with a difficulty and then you share, not only we're going to give you some bread, but we're going to tell you about the the bread of life. It's kak kakani penima eta.

Cash with the colours. Every single one is different. We had times where we just shared our testimony. And people would come back after a year. And somebody accepts right away.

I think it's like everywhere else. Today, you need to understand. Maybe I'll speak about it a little bit. God gave to the Jewish people a veil. When they read the Old Testament, so that when they read, they won't see Yeshua there.

Because when me or you read the Old Testament, you are thinking, How can you not see it? Every single page is about him. Every story is about him. Every prophecy is as well. Every single promise to him.

And for us, it's a miracle. But God gave them the sign so that they read it and don't see Yeshua there. Because if they would have seen him, when he came 2,000 years ago, they would have recognized him. Wow, this is Yeshua, this is the Messiah. They would accept him.

And the whole story would end. But God has an amazing plan of the salvation of the entire humanity. He closed our people. Eyes so that they won't see and won't recognize him. And it says in Zachariah, you'll see me, the one that you have pierced.

And so, Roman is and Michael. When you guys think about the audience out there, how can they pray? How would you like them to pray? Israel, clearly for peace, but to some extent you you You guys have an ongoing You know, whatever you were struggling, struggle, however you want, what does that look like? Ah, yes.

Yeshua Skazala said to his disciples. Pray to the Lord of the harvest for the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers through his harvest. He said that about Israel. Israel continues to be his harvest. Us as the laborers, we are there.

And we labor. Every day we go to different levels of the population, not caring about anything, problems, hardships, war, we still go. But you, as His disciples, pray to the Lord of the harvest for Him to open up more hearts to the people so that they would accept Yeshua. Go to the Bible school and become His disciples and go to the cities of Israel to spread His kingdom, strengthen His kingdom. As Jesus said.

That's beautiful. Absolutely, Doc? Yeah, um As you think about Their eyes being opened. I'm still kind of stuck on where you talked about that a moment ago. Um Talk to more about how prayer comes into play.

And love comes into play. As you work with this person who has just not embraced the gospel like you have.

Okay. Skark hunt. We just continue to love him, continue helping him, continue doing the good deeds. We had so many. Examples of when people would come to our soup kitchen for eight months straight every day.

But he would come. But then he came to rehab finished the Bible school and went and opened the rehab center on his own. We go. And if something doesn't work, as Yeshua said, we just clean our hands and go for it. Because there were examples where we couldn't do anything in the preceding day.

So I did open a ministry, a home church, or a rehab home, and it didn't work out. And we would close and go to another city. I think we need to make sure, Robbie, our listeners know, well, we're hearing some great things here. This is difficult ground to plow. And um You're staying right at it.

Yeah, it is. but very fruitful ground. When watered properly, the most fruitful on earth to some extent. It's the promised land. And so it's really amazing that God has Right, it's indigenous.

The people that came from Russia. Right. That can relate to the people with addiction problems, that can relate to their language, that speak Um Comfort As they've been comforted and and And yet, now we have more Ukrainians coming, which are being comforted, that could help more Ukrainians. Whatever comes next. We're reaching them in a very unique way.

Because again, this Different challenge. I'm loving looking at their website. I hope our listeners will go and check it out. living Israel, bringing hope to Israel and the breakthroughs come as I'm hearing from the help that you're giving. But to be able to provide that help.

Thank you. And so You know, as we just have another, you know, four or five minutes, what else would you want our listeners to know that you haven't had a chance to share with us? Maybe. Can I just uh say something to the church, please? There's a biblical story.

Ruth. And when Naomi left to another country, she lost everything. And her daughter-in-law stayed with her. And she told her that your people will be my people, your God will be my God with her and take care of her. And then she was noticed by Boas and he got married to her.

And it is a great example of Shirley. Because in this church, Ruth in this story, Ruth is the church. Beautiful, blessed from the nations and Naomi is Israeli suffering and Boaz. That's Christ. And by what reason did Boaz notice Ruth?

It says that he loved how Nao how Ruth took care of Naomi. Ito is a very good thing.

So blessing. Kada Ruf in Amin Lubertroglo. It happens when Ruth and Naomi love each other. When the church and Israel love each other, and God loves this image. And just pray for Israel.

Support Israel. God loves it. I don't think I'll be looking at the book of Ruth the same. That was really good. It really, really was.

Oh, just to re-emphasize what he said. That what attracted Boaz. to Ruth. was the way that she loved Naomi, as the church would love Israel. And in a work obviously to feed.

Israel is part of what Ruth did. If you think about it, she's out there gleaning in the fields to get. The seed. Right? That would feed Israel.

And so what an opportunity we have to pray for livingisrael.org to sow into that ministry. That's a picture, isn't it, Doc? It sure is. And in Psalms 122, verse 6. We look at that verse many times and it says, pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

Well, There's always that immediate thought. Peace from Conflict. Right? Peace from war. But really The peace we want for Israel is that they would know the Lord Jesus Christ and have peace with God.

Well, that word is shalom. Right. You have to pray for the shalom of Israel. And that's a completeness. It's a lot bigger deal than just a lack of conflict.

That's right. And so what what they are bringing Like you said, Is Shalom. And to pray for the shalom of Israel. Oh, is is really really an honor and There's more to that verse, Doc, than just pray for the peace of Israel. This is true.

Go ahead and tell them.

Somebody should unmute. There's this word love in there. Go ahead. No, I'm going to let you because I don't, you know, I let these guys. They know it's pray for the peace of Jerusalem for those who love you.

Yeah. Right. You're getting it, Doc. I'm sorry, but I just know there's more to the verse because I often quote it and I'm like, whoa. Yeah, and every now and then, the word doc here gets things messed up.

And may those be secure who love you. Right. As you pray for the peace of Jerusalem. That you may p be secure that in other words, it's a It's actually a promise from God. And we need that Security.
