This is the Truth Network. Welcome to Truth Talk Live. All right, let's talk the truth is. I can't hide it. I can't hide it.
A daily program powered by the Truth Network. This is kind of a great thing, and I'll tell you what. Where pop culture, current events, and theology all come together. Seek your mind. And now, here's today's Truth Talk Live host.
Welcome to Truth Talk Live. This is Russ East, your host, for today's edition of Truth Talk Live. We have Annabelle from Trans World Radio on the program today. Annabelle? Being at Missions Monday.
I believe you have something for our listeners today. that will encourage them. It will give them something to pray about. and to be a part of Would you just want to share a little bit about what's happening in light of ministry, getting the gospel out to people in the land that you're very familiar with? And that would be the country of Venezuela and and share with us your testimony if you would.
Yes, thank you for having me. I can say that in Venezuela, after the events last week, because it was on Saturday, then on Sunday, not too many churches they opened their doors. But this Sunday, they they went back to normal.
So people was able to worship and pray and gather together and Many people that I was talking with this today in the morning, they say that it was very good.
So those are good news, yes, because the churches in Venezuela in the past used to be big churches.
Now they are smaller churches, but in most places, So it's is it's I I will say that um In their hardships the church always grows. Yes. True, true. And and you have a testimony to share. About how you came to the Lord, which I would love to hear.
Plus, maybe you could share with us.
Some of your thoughts as to why one of the wealthiest nations in the world has had that slide into. Areas of poverty and corruption and things. Just your your particular viewpoint on that. And then we can also talk about what is it like you know, having lived in Venezuela, how does Trans World Radio That you're a part of, how does that reach out to people? What is the Lord doing through TWR?
Whichever one of those you'd like to address first, we're just so happy that you're on Truth Talk Live today and just share your heart today. Yeah, I will share a little bit about my testimony. I believed in Jesus when I was 17 years old because Group of missionaries from the United States came to my city. It's a small city near the capital of the country. This group of missionaries went to Venezuela to help to build up a building To have a church there, and in their spare time, they were sharing the gospel with the kids around.
and they have puppets and and they were Sharing testimonies or Of how that had been working in their lives. And I went in that place because my brother invited me the day before. He was playing basketball with the we call Green Ghost.
So he said it's very nice. They have so some good stories and and they are talking about the Bible.
So I went there and I I was attending to that area for in in to their event Every um like late in the in the morning and the afternoon. And at the end of the the week, one of the pastors, he Gather us together all the youth. And he asked us about If you die today, do you think you will go to heaven? That was the first time ever I thought, because he explained first what was sin. I didn't know that I was a sinner.
So for the first time, I realized that I was a senior.
So I said, no, I won't go to heaven. And then he invited us to accept Christ and his message and what he did for us. And since then, I've been a believer in Christ and trying to reach others for Christ. And you have family that are still in Venezuela. Is that right?
Yes, yes. Um just two of my siblings, they are now in Venezuela. One is living uh in two are living in Argentina. But the rest of my family is still in Venezuela. And so you're based in the United States, is that right?
And you work with. Trans World Radio. Yes, I lived in the northwest of Illinois, in Chicago area, northwest. I live in that part. Very cold, very cold.
how Trans World Radio is reaching your homeland. It's reaching into many places around the world. But how is it making an impact with you say in places like Venezuela. Because Transport Radio has a radio station located in Bonaire, it's an island in the Cari in the Dutch Caribbean. and is near the north of Venezuela.
And that station is very has a powerful transmitter. And we have programmes in the morning in Portuguese for Brazil and in Spanish after that for Venezuela specifically. And we broadcast there for an hour. The first program is called Despertad the Awakeness. It's to help people to start the day with joy, reading the Bible and with the Word of God to get energy for the day.
So that is is the purpose of that program. But also at night, uh-huh at night we have a another uh block of uh programs that we broadcast for two and a half hours. different programmes. for the people in Venezuela. Got it, got it.
Would you say that the internet in Venezuela it's it's It's happening, it's going on, but Not in all places. People don't have access to the internet to listen to things. And how does that play out when it comes to getting the gospel out, getting Bible teaching? Would you say that it's kind of limited? when it comes to internet It is.
Uh because uh the geography of the country is there are big mountains where some even if you have an FM radio, you cannot reach the whole area. You have to have many radio stations around to be able to reach a group of people. But uh the AM station works better for that area. And in in in in some places, it's really hard to get there. There is the you don't have transportation to get easily in those places.
So the only way that we can reach many people at the same time is through radio. But also because that geography, they don't have the the infrastructure for internet.
Some people get internet uh by phone. And it's just For us here in the State, it's kind of, oh my, I have to wait a lot to search on the Internet because it's 3G. Steel. Not too many places ha have four G.
So and also the other thing is if they have power. because most places in some moment, they don't have power. They the infrastructure for the electricity is really bad in this moment.
So they don't have uh uh power for could be like two hours, three hours, sometimes the whole day they don't have electricity.
So that are the challenges there.
So like those little wind-up radios that maybe are solar powered or or some type of a special radio, those are going to be a lot more prevalent to reach souls for Christ. Than we can imagine. Yes, that's true. Yeah.
Okay. And so so Trans World Radio, tell us a little bit about Trans World Radio for our listeners that that m aren't real familiar. Tell us tell us a little bit about the history and where they have transmitters, like you mentioned, on the island of Bonaire and maybe s some of the other places. Yes, Transport Radio is broadcast from different places in each continent. We have um We have we have the brake.
Annabelle, will you stay with us though, because we have lots more to talk about. If you might have to do it, Call us at 866-348-7884. That's 866-348-7884. We'll be right back talking with Annabelle. From Trans World Radio here on Truth Talk Live.
Welcome back to Truth Talk Live. This is Ruff Beast, your host. I'm wanting to welcome all of our listeners. that are all across the state of North Carolina. They're in Ohio, they're in Dayton, they're in Toledo, they're in Salt Lake City, Utah, all across the state.
They are in Lynchburg, Virginia. And they might be listening on our app, on the Truth Network app. And so wherever you are, just know we would love to hear from you. If you have a question, a comment, you just want to pray for Annabelle, pray for her family that are in Venezuela. And so we're continuing our conversation.
Annabel, share with us a little bit more, if you would, about Trans World Radio and the different continents that they're on and just the scope of what they're doing in light of the gospel and the Great Commission. Yeah, since nineteen fifty four, we have been broadcasting in different languages. The first one was Spanish. Because Paul Freed, who was the founder, He wanted to reach the people in Spain.
So from uh from that area in Monte Carlo in uh We started the broadcast and now we are doing it in two hundred languages, more than two hundred languages in around one 190. uh countries in the world.
So this is a a very big uh ministry that God has put on our uh hands to to reach be pulled where whenever they are. And it's it's a privilege to do that. You know, i if if somebody wanted to to make a contribution Is the uh website just TWR um they could they could Google that, Trans World Radio, but but is there a website where people could go? that you'd like to mention because there might be somebody listening out there that wants to see another transmitter maybe built or maybe there's a repair that needs to be made or something. How could people make a contribution to Trans World Radio?
Yes, we have our web page. It's easy to give. is TWR dot org. And then you go to give and it's easy. It's in the left of your screen.
Is there the option to give? We have partners in Europe, in the Middle East. There are many needs in that area, in Asia. We have In Africa, one of our main main stations also is in South Africa. In Kenya, we have also an office And there are many needs in that area.
Specifically, this week we were featuring Africa, and if you would like to give for Africa, we are welcome, we welcome you to do it. Excellent. Excellent. That number that you can call right now is 866-348-7884. That's 866-448-848-848-8484.
Three, four, eight. 7884. Uh If you'd like to call in, ask a question. Maybe you'd like to just pray with Annabelle. Give her some encouragement.
Annabelle, you have. family they're in Venezuela. Could you share with us a little bit about, you know, maybe your thoughts on how Venezuela turned into you know, a place where there's there's been some chaos. There's been some some disruption and some things that are that are sad, but we're seeing some some changes. Do you have any thoughts to add to that?
question as to as to what what's been happening there? Y you haven't been there for some time or or when was the last time you were there in Venezuela? I went a year ago. I was in Venezuela. I was with our partners there.
We have an office in Venezuela. And they were celebrating their 30th anniversary.
So I went there with them, and it was a good time. Sharing with the people that came to tell us their testimonies because they believed. because those broadcasts that we were uh doing from Bonaire. Bonaire is a ma is a key uh place that we had been Reaching not just Venezuela, but Colombia. We have a really touching testimony from.
Um, one man that he was uh He was creating cocaine in a lab in Colombia and he had an accident and he started to look for something to listen to at that moment, trying to forget what he was going through. And he turned the radio and it was trans world radio. And since then, he believed and he became a pastor, and the people that were with him working in that lab they left everything and they followed Jesus since then. And I recently talked with him by phone because he is a very well known pastor in Colombia, and I go to Colombia frequently too.
So it it's how that works in our lives and and the blessing that we can be for others. Oh, absolutely, absolutely. And just the fact that people right now listening, if they're being led by the Lord to do so, they can go to twr.org. and and they can make a contribution. That is so wonderful that we have this opportunity to partner with such a wonderful ministry.
And the Truth Network has done so for many, many years. We've done various campaigns and we've sought to to just continue the the great responsibility and opportunity and privilege to continue this great commission. You know, two thousand years it's been going on, right, Annabelle? And and God has given us this this technology, and we're a part of something that's just so huge. It's worldwide.
It's It's it it covers all these places where TWR has been ministering and missionaries have gone and Just to think that we have this miracle of radio waves. And and uh that we have have this right here in our country. We've got there's there's so many radio stations. that are being used across the the globe, across the the country, across you know, and the cars and the and the trucks and the vans and in the hospitals and the prisons. Um, it's everywhere.
It's such a it's an amazing miracle. It's just as much as God has made the mountains and the oceans, He's made these these invisible airwaves and they travel hundreds of miles right into these little plastic metal boxes where people can listen. And so we just really are grateful for what you're doing. And so tell us a little bit about.
some of the just so we can gain a better perspective on Venezuela and the corruption and things that have happened, what what what el what what caused some of this, do you think? Just your own personal opinion. What what are some of the things? Was it a slow turn of of kind of into the the problems that we we hear about in the news? Or did it happen uh just more more dramatically in in a in a quicker kind of a fashion?
It has been, I would say, slow. Since Hugo Chavez came to power, many things have changed in Venezuela, including the constitution and how the government manages its affairs. After President Chavez died, Nicolas Maduro was elected and he served two terms and was his third term as president after the twenty twenty four elections, which were questioned by international bodies and opposition parties in Venezuela, who claimed that the winner of those elections was the opposition candidate, Edmundo Gonzalez. And since then, everything had been kind of more like going down in the political um spectrum, I would say, in the in the polit political arena. And more than eight million Venezuelans have left the country searching for liv better living conditions.
And and if you think about But You you mentioned that that Venezuela is a rich country, has different Can be Uh make the people rich. But it have been in bad use by the people that have have been in charge. And you can see it is not something that I'm just creating. If you think about that Venezuelan, the minimum wage for a Venezuelan is three less than three dollars per month. Really, they can they can get basic needs, uh things for s their needs.
Well listen, we're going to continue this if you can stay with us, Annabelle. Stay with us. The music's playing, so we have to take a break, but we'll be right back. This is Missions Monday on Truth Talk Live, and I'm your host, Russ East. We're excited to be talking about this great privilege called the Great Commission that we're a part of as believers in Christ.
So stay with us. We'll be right back here on Truth Talk Live. Truth Talk Live. Welcome back to Truth Talk Live. This is Ruff East, your host.
We're going to continue talking about the Great Commission, talking about Missions Monday. That's what today is. It's Monday, but it's Missions Monday. Let's not ever forget that.
So when you tune in on to Truth Talk Live here on the Truth Network, At this time Four o'clock Eastern. two o'clock in Utah. we're going to be talking about the Great Commission. And what better passage to talk about the Great Commission than that in Cha uh Acts chapter 9. Acts chapter 9, verse 15, it says, But the LORD said unto him, Go thy way, for he is a chosen vessel unto me to bear my name before the Gentiles and kings and the children of Israel.
For I will show him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.
So, Annabelle, let me ask you, have you come across people In the scope of TWR or maybe believers in countries as you've gotten reports and things. is suffering a part of of the Christian life. in other places around the world. that that you have seen TWR have an impact on? Yes, I I had the opportunity to go last year to Haiti.
I went to the north part of the island and people live there in poverty, it's extreme poverty. And and it was hard to see how they live and and how the the the believers have to walk miles to get to church. to to go to any place around. to find food. to have a life is really, really hard.
And also in Africa, we see that too. And in some countries, it's not just the poverty, like talking about the economy, but Uh spiritually. like if you think about in Asia There is a uh Some countries that have many opportunities, but they don't see Christ as an option in their lives.
So is it when we need to to go to those places in in in help. Because there are Christians like in Japan. There are many Christians there. but they need help to to reach their own people.
So we can be part of what they are doing. In There are many places. How about in Africa? Would you wanted to share just briefly about Africa? What parts of Africa Does TWR have a presence?
We basically we are in the home Africa countries. But our main emphasis is in the West Africa. where we have a big population of Muslims And and how maybe you know that they are right now a hard time in in that part of the Africa. where the churches in Christiana have been persecuted. And and we need to pray for them.
How about in countries like Ghana, Africa? Do you have any stations that come to your mind that it might be in Ghana, Africa? I don't have a station specifically, but I know we have programs for them. We have been broadcasting from some of our stations for them. Wonderful, wonderful.
Our ministry, Utah Partnerships for Christ to reach the Mormons for Christ, we were able to send a couple men there and to do some workshops and I would just love to see the possibility of uh of uh maybe Truth Network and TWR just try to like work together to see some more Christian radio in a country like Ghana where the the Mormons are strong and we need to share the gospel with them and share how much Christ loves them and and how that how that you know their sins can be forgiven if they put their faith and and trust in what Christ did on the cross for us so so that would be exciting maybe this is the beginnings of that possibility who knows Yes. But let me let me read another another verse out of the book of Acts, Acts chapter 18. And let me just also say before I read this, if you'd like to call in and just say a prayer, maybe we've got some prayer warriors listening today, and you'd like to have just a time to encourage not only Annabelle but others listening, you can just pray right now. You can give us a call at 866-348-7884. Our call screener will take your call and just put you on hold for a moment, and then you can say, hey, I'd like to just pray for Annabelle.
I want to pray for TWR. I'm just compelled. I want to just bring this to the Lord publicly on the airwaves today.
So that would be exciting to hear from you. If you'd like to do that, just call us at 866-368-848. Three, four, eight, six. 7884. So Annabelle, here's the verse.
In Acts chapter 18, I'd love to hear your thoughts on this. We talked about people that are being persecuted, but then there's also seasons where there's not going to be the persecution because we read here, it says in verse 9, then spake the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid. But speak and hold not thy peace. For I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee, for I have mu many people in this city.
So when I when I read those words, what comes to your mind when you think about that? Maybe there's a time of kind of some more flourishing, things that are that are expanding and we're seeing the Lord Just allow and and and uh g and give that kind of um Uh I've I've movement across the land. What comes to your mind when I read those those verses there? Yeah, that's Acts is one of my favorite books of the Bible because it shows how the the first believers, they have so much passion to reach everybody around them. And it's encouraging when you read the word of God in that specific book.
in how the believers they even share their their belongings. and money and food and everything and And when you go to some of those countries, like in Africa, and you see how they worship God with all their heart and the music and and they they they have feeling they are all together.
Sometimes this We are in some churches in some part of the world where you are seated there, very comfortable, but there isn't that joy that those people over there have.
So we should just try to think about what it says in that book and specifically in that chapter and try to. to think. In the in those words in in the uh encourage what what those first believers did. And we imitate them. That's the goal.
Yes, yeah, that that first part of that verse, be not afraid. We hear that a lot from the angels. And so that's so important because when we're fearful over certain things, It can really stop us. And sometimes fear is good. You know, when you're gonna go across the street, you wanna be afraid not to get hit.
But when it comes to speaking, Oh, wow, you know, we can't hold our peace. I mean, and that's why this verse right here, this is Jesus. The Lord spoke to Paul in the night. And sometimes you might be maybe at night and you feel kind of down and out and you feel like you don't see the purpose God has for you. But then you can flip on your radio on the Truth Network and you can hear God's word being spoken.
And there's been people like our engineering staff, people that work so hard all the time to make sure that the radio waves are going out. I think of Randy Finch, our engineer here, who's always working tirelessly in Mandel Owens. And these guys are behind the scenes and we don't hear much about them. But they're out in the cold and the heat, around high voltage. They can lose their life if they touch the wrong thing.
I'm not kidding you, you know. And we've seen snakes being just fried because they got to the wrong places and things. But boy, you know, you look at this verse here. It says, For I am with thee. Yeah, okay, so so isn't that isn't that a comfort, Annabelle, that that the Lord says that he was with Paul?
And um, you know, he s he he ended up spending a a year and a half in Corinth. And um and and that's a place that You know, you could say it's kind of like like Las Vegas, maybe, you know, like the real seedy parts maybe of Las Vegas and the some of the debauchery and things that we think about and associated with that. And it prob it probably in many ways wasn't really super, super friendly to Christianity, but there were believers there. There it says, and so, you know, you're right next door to Athens and then up the highway, the road there, you get up there to Thessalonica and around the corner to Philippi. And so Paul was ministering, and so the Lord really encouraged him.
And in fact, We're doing a trip, a a Footsteps of Paul trip to Greece in September. It's with our ministry, Utah Partnerships for Christ. Who knows, maybe TWR and Truth could do a trip to Greece, or maybe we could go and do a tour of some places where there are radio transmitters and just see for ourselves all that's going on. We could encourage the Christians that are there. And so that would be exciting.
This idea here in verse 10, for I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee, for I have many people in this city.
So when we think about the cities, what's another city that comes to your mind? Annabelle that the TWR is reaching, maybe like in Europe. C would you want to share a a city or two in Europe that comes to your mind? Uh w TWR has a A partner in in Germany and there you They are trying to reach the European people in that area. And they have a a small radio station there, but that radio stations, they take like you say, they are not afraid to share the gospel.
They are not afraid to tell the truth. They are not afraid to share with the people that Jesus Christ died for them. And and he just not just died, he he gave the his life, but he be he raised again and he's alive. And not too many people in Europe can hear that. or are you willing to?
But they are not afraid to share every single day the good news of Christ in in that area. Is in in In uh The city, um, the name is, um, I don't remember right now the the it says Betzlar. In in one of the it's a little town there in Germany. And what they do also, they share what you are doing right now with me, sharing what we are doing in different countries, and they raise support for some projects in different parts of the world. For us in Latin America, they do some programs, special programs every year to help us to have programs for kids and for women and for men in Latin America.
And it's a tiny station. in that town, Betzeler.
So it's it's incredible when when we believe those words. We are not afraid. And it's the same thing. Probably there is somebody listening to us in this moment and they are have been thinking on, oh, I can go to a mission trip But I don't know, it's so dangerous. No, no, don't be afraid.
God is with you. Don't be afraid. And we'll be right back with our last segment here on Truth Talk Live with Annabelle from Trans World Radio. We're gonna look at Acts chapter 26. We're going to see some other great, great nuggets from God's Word.
Stay with us. We'll be right back here on Truth Talk Live. Truth Talk Live. Welcome back to our last segment here on Truth Talk Live. You still have a chance to call in and say a prayer with Annabelle from Trans World Radio.
I know she'd be encouraged with your prayer, with your encouragement. That number you can call is 866.
Now, don't be afraid. Don't be afraid to speak out. We've been talking about this from God's Word. He is with you. If you feel led that you want to call in, just do it.
There's nothing to be afraid of here. We'll be so encouraged with your. Phone call with your prayer, 866-348. 7884. That's 866-586.
You know, not too long ago, maybe two, three years ago, I had a chance to go to Israel. And and I got to be at a place called Caesarea. Maritima. And it's right there on the coast. And it was it was a place where Paul was imprisoned before he went to Rome.
And uh that these passages r this passage here in Acts twenty six, you know, earlier when we were reading, Paul recounts when Jesus told Paul that he would speak before kings. And wouldn't you know, here he is, he's talking to a king named Agrippa. And um one of the things that he recounts He he says here in verse Uh sixteen uh that he's recounting back when he got saved When Paul got saved, and this is what Jesus also said to Paul at that time in Egypt, and he's telling. this whole story to to King Agrippa. And it's just an amazing chapter.
But he says, But rise, Jesus said to him, and stand upon thy feet, for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose. to make thee a minister. and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen. And of those things the which I will appear unto thee, delivering thee from the people and from the Gentiles, and whom now I send thee. to open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness, to light.
And from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me. Whereupon, O King Agrippa, I was not disobedient under the heavenly vision. And he just goes on. I could just read the whole chapter, but what comes to your mind, Annabelle, when I'm reading those words again about Paul and how we can we can apply it to our lives, maybe by being a partner with Trans World Radio or just being faithful to wherever God has put us. Yes, I w I what I see is is his courage.
to speak boldly about his Belief in in in in the middle of the he was Probably could be killed. Just for what he was saying in that moment and who He was talking with. But he he just knew who who was his uh his lord and and who had what he had believed So he he just spoke from his heart. And he just said what needed to be said and these people that he was talking with needed to hear those words and is like us do. We have the truth We believed in users.
We know that we need to share that with others in And these people for sure, some of those that were in that place They they believed. After that speech. Yeah.
We never know who the Lord is going to put in our path. Um You know, as we read on in Acts chapter 26, It says, Whereupon, O King Agrippa, I was not disobedient under the heavenly vision, but showed first. unto them of Damascus and at Jerusalem and throughout all the coasts of Judea, and then to the Gentiles that they should repent and turn to God and do works. Meet for repentance. For these causes, the Jews caught me in the temple and went about to kill me, just exactly like you said.
So he's he's recounting all these times in the past. Can you imagine? People not wanting to just maybe lamb-based your name, not just wanting to embarrass you, not mock you, but they want to take your life. They want to snuff you out. And this was what was happening to Paul.
He says, having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day. Witnessing both to small and great.
So whether it's a king or whether it's just somebody that we would think is not all that prominent or a Important in the eyes of the world. It doesn't matter. But Paul, and I know that we have opportunities. You know, I think about when Greg Laurie was here in our state of Utah. Annabelle and he did a uh a big a big crusade, a big uh outreach, an evangelistic outreach.
And there was the former governor of Utah, Gary Herbert. And everybody, you know, a lot of people know him because of his name. And we can just be praying for him. We can pray for people great and small. saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come, that Christ should suffer and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead and should show light unto the people and to the Gentiles.
So when we were talking about suffering before, we can always remember that Christ suffered. And here he is. He's he's God the Son. And and yet He suffered. And he was separated from the Father.
He bore our sin on himself. in a way that only he could do. And and then it goes on, and as he thus spake for himself, Festus said with a loud Voice. Paul, thou art beside thyself. Much learning just make it makes you mad.
It makes you crazy.
So now here's an example of somebody speaking out, but on the wrong side of the fence. He's on the other team, and he's mocking Paul. But he said, I am not mad, I am not crazy, most noble Festus, but speak forth the words of truth and soberness. For the king knows of these things, before whom also I speak freely, for I am persuaded that none of these things are hidden from him, for this thing was not done in a corner. King Agrippa, believe thou the prophets?
I know you believe them. And Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost you persuade me to be a Christian. Oh, man, just think about all the people that are listening right now. Maybe maybe you're listening right now and you're like this guy, and you're right on the edge. You're you're you you you want to You want to have that humility, that that sense of saying, I have a need here.
I need this gift. But you you're just not able to do it. Annabelle, would you say a prayer for those listening to our voice right now? that that the Lord would just Break them in a way that breaks them, but showers God's love on them to bring them to them. And they would, in a miraculous way, like the way a baby's born, the way a man asks a woman to marry him.
I mean, those are some miraculous things how that happens. And we want to see a new birth right now. We would love to see that. What a great privilege.
So maybe there's someone listening, hearing our voices right now. And you can just even lead lead them in a salvation opportunity message. Would you mind doing that and just praying as the Lord leads you? Would you mind doing that for us? Yeah, I I pray.
Yeah, Lord, thank you for everybody that is listening to us right now. Thank you for their uh lives in in in their thoughts. You know their thoughts in this moment, and I pray that if they are in that moment of indefinition and they don't know what to do with what they are listening to. You touch their hearts, and they can come to you and say, Here I am. I want to believe, I love you, and I want to.
You to change my life. And I pray also for those believers that. I pray that they have the courage as Paul had. In those times. To talk boldly about you and what they have learned over the years, or probably new believers.
believer that just believed yesterday. I pray that that person can share with others what they believe, he or her believed. And I pray that you give them the right words in the right moment to keep sharing. um that word of hope. They changed my life and and have changed the life of many.
And I pray that many people can come to you. just with a humble heart to say, Lord, I need you. I pray this prayer in Jesus' name, Amen. Amen. Thank you.
going to finish out this chapter here it says and paul said i would to god that not only you but also all that hear me this day were both almost and all together such as i am accept these bonds Um you know, he's he's just saying you know, he he's willing to t to suffer, he's willing to be in in in chains, But in his humanity, of course, he wants to be out there and not have the restrictions on him. But God is using him right there, of course. And then it says, And when he had thus spoken, the king rose up. and the governor with Bernice and they that sat with them. And when they were gone aside they talked between themselves, saying, This man he's done nothing worthy of death or of bonds.
Then said Agrippa unto Festus, This man might have been set at liberty if he had not appealed unto Caesar.
So here he is, he's had his life threatened. But but he he just is being led by the Lord to go to to probably Nero. um who's who's a ruthless emperor of Rome. who had conquered Judea, the con you know, that that they conquer the whole known world. And um and so now he's on he's on a ship and he's headed up to Italy If you haven't read Acts, if you haven't had a chance to dive into God's word in this area here.
It is powerful. I would encourage you to read in the book of Acts. There's so much going on. What an amazing volume of scripture, of history, of geographical places, of historical leaders, of just so much there, so much richness and so much in culture, in Greek culture, Roman culture. It just yells, it screams.
That it's real, that it's not some fictional thing that you have to think about: oh, well, this isn't true. No, this is. depicting history in an accurate way. And so we can be confident in that.
