This is the Truth Network. Welcome to Truth Talk Live. All right, let's talk. The truth is, I can't hide it. Back in home.
A daily program powered by the Truth Network. This is kind of a great thing, and I'll tell you what. Where pop culture, current events, and theology all come together. Speak your mind. And now, here's today's Truth Talk Live host.
Oh, are we live today? We are so live again today from Israel. A trip that Dr. Carson and I have been on three times this week. We're so honored, really, to have been.
invited on this historic um Friends of Zion, chance, I guess, to become ambassadors for Israel to see things that. You know, possibly nobody in the American media has seen. I would guess nobody has, and I'm certain that they've never seen a thousand pastors worshiping on the southern steps of the but even you know for me a little bit more touching today was a thousand pastors It's Shiloh, which we're going to get into that, right? It was, and for those who aren't familiar, Shiloh was the original capital of Israel when Joshua came into the country. And so the Ark of the Covenant sat underneath the Michigan of the the Tabernacle is what most people would call that.
And so. There's so much that we've got to talk about that, but really cool, we have with us today. Not only do we have Dr. Date the Word Carson, date the word.com, you can get the app. But we also, we also, very rare opportunity to actually have Aaron Rodgers' brother, if I want to understand.
That's great. The famous Dallas Cowboy. His brother's actually with us. Brian. Yes.
Big football fan, Rari. Oh, yes. Yes. Great to be here. Yeah, we have Brian Rogers with us.
He's going to share his insights for Israel and another super treat. And both these guys, by the way, are broadcasters, big-time broadcasters in their own right. We have Pastor Frank Mickens with us, former news anchor for Channel 2 in our market and other markets, and just a master journalist. And so his viewpoint on this to me is going to be amazing. I'm very excited to hear it myself, of course.
What we would really like is your viewpoint, right? You've had a chance to hear us for a couple days. This has touched you in some way. I would love to know what you're thinking. 866, the number to call in, and I know it takes a little courage, but we would so love to hear from you.
8663487884 866348 Seven, 884. Brian? Like you've been here now for it, it seems like it's been about 20 minutes. But actually, most of us flew in here sometime around Tuesday. It is now Friday.
But most of these days for us have been getting up at 6 o'clock in the morning, on the bus often before 7, getting back here sometime around 11, and then up again and do it and they have packed it with extremely emotional content of things that we have seen. Not just Um You know, the stuff that we've talked about, the Nova Festival and the biblical sites and those other things, but there's been some worship experience and stuff like that.
So of all that. Brian, who by the way is a pastor in Kinston, and also has a wonderful broadcast ministry. The name of that is? Yes, uh, we have it's called In the Word. With Brian Rogers, and it broadcasts out of the church, a preaching format, a one-hour format, and also a 30-minute teaching broadcast.
So you've really leveraged your brother. Yes, sir, that's right. Explains the millions of people.
So, Brian, seriously, how has God come after you to like, Brian? This is as a broadcaster, this is a message I want you. to bring to your audience. The first thing I would say is this, the old, old story. never changes.
but the modern means of media to get the word out. I was thinking about how the Apostle Paul or maybe the disciples of the years past, how if they had the technology we had today. And how they could utilize that to minister to the people of that day. and the opportunities provided to us in the days in which we live, to be able to share that story that never changes. but yet inside of me I've known the Lord for many years in my life.
I was five years old when I received Jesus as Christ as my personal Savior. and this is my third time here in Israel. But I'm telling you It was just as real tonight at the Garden Tomb as we sang praises to the Lord and received Holy Communion. I just felt the power of God just fill the atmosphere. knowing that right over there was the empty tomb.
And the whole reason we can sing and shout and praise the Lord is because the grave is empty. And so to me personally, it's just It's just one of those areas of my life where it's like Okay. When you know you've heard from God, you go back to that place, and I really believe with all my heart. that what God has done for me in this place here in Israel He threw another log on the fire. And to go back with even greater passion, fervor.
and to let people know that Jesus is alive and also why we need to stand and support. the nation of Israel. It's been powerful. And I'm excited what God has in store the next days. I was here just two weeks ago.
And I flew back on the 21st of November back to the States, home for Thanksgiving, and then got back on a plane. And as you shared, got here early Tuesday morning when I was 6, 6:15 in the morning. But I'm telling you, yes, in physical body, I'm fatigued, but spiritually, great day. I'm a Hulk Hogan, man. I'm telling you, man.
So I don't know about the rest of you guys, but. I wasn't at the Garden Tomb taking communion tonight, were you? I wasn't either. I was there, yes. I didn't have that experience.
Doc, we're just not part of the show. I'll be there tomorrow. I'll be there tomorrow. Yes. Did you get to use olive wood cups?
We did, yes, sir. Yes. Or did you get to bring it home with you? Yes, sir. Sure.
And when you finished drinking, was it empty? You could see where there was a residue of the juice, but it was pretty much empty, yes sir. Right next to the empty tomb. I like that. There you go.
I like the analogy there. I like the imagery there. I love that. Yes. That's really, that's really rich.
That happened to me once that happened. I like that. And I had them look. Ah, let's look into the cup. And as they looked into the cup, I said, now you see it's empty.
And I look over your right, your left shoulder. What do you look over and I said, that tomb's empty. Don't you ever forget communion? The cup's empty means that. That the tomb is served risen savior.
I love that. And the finished work right there. I love that. Absolutely beautiful. Yeah.
So, Frank, same question. I know it's been a whirlwind for you. You know, what has what's grabbed you? Um, I think compassion. Mm.
And I believe Compassion is the secret. And you think about how hearing a personal testimony. We see it in the scriptures about the power of that. I mean, we talk about an Old Testament, a testament is a message from someone. It is their their desire, their Um their testimony.
And to talk to people who have lost their children, to hear the stories of burned. Cars filled with people to hear the stories of people who were in captivity for 550 days and all these incredible things. But they came out of it. stable in their faith. And their determination to tell the truth instead of be afraid or cower at the terror that has been sought over this entire nation.
And I think there's a greater appreciation I have for spiritual warfare as well.
So my compassion now becomes. The secret power that I have to pray. Jesus said, Sit with me while I pray in the Garden of Gethsemane. I think in there is locked an incredible mystery. The Lord would have us to connect with his heart, his grief.
Remember, he had three of his closest apostles go with him. He left nine, went forward once and brought three, and then went forward again and brought himself the Outer court, inner court, innermost court. There's a difference between me coming to the brazen altar, then me going and taking part in the showbread, table of showbread and the lampstand, and then going to the ark of the covenant where the Lord is. And the thing about the most holy place is it's dark there. There's a veil, and you enter into a place that's only lit by the lampstand that is outside the veil.
The mystery of God. is something that is sought by those of us who are willing to go past and beyond our natural ability to understand what it is the Spirit of the Lord is saying and what the heart of the Father is feeling. Wow. And so, as I'm hearing these testimonies, I hear the music in the background. Yeah.
I'll have to appreciate it. That's good. I love that. So, when we get back, we need to hear from you. 866-348-7884.
We'll be right back. You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. Welcome back to True Talk Live. Today we are again live from Israel in the Ambassador Summit, 1,000 actually I believe 1,100. Pastors and Christian influencers.
There's educators here. I've met. People from all over the world. There are some FCA people here. Yes, FCAs here.
They're Christian influencers, but for the most part, they're pastors. And, boy, at one point in time, today, they kind of fired about seven or eight of them at us. It was a rapid fire, and it was powerful. And I was watching the face on, you know, the governor of Judea and Samaria was there, as well as the foreign minister for Israel, which are very Jewish, wearing humulus, etc. And these preachers, man, they're bringing it.
And I'm watching them. They're getting charged up. And it was something to see. But anyway, when we left our hero, well, first of all, our heroes are out there in the audience.
So you've got to call us, 866-348-7884. You've had a chance to hear some of your thoughts about. What's been broadcast over the last few days of what's going on in Israel right now when we left our hero Frank. Oh, I should give you the number again. It's 866-348-7884.
When we left our hero, Frank, I want you to finish up your thought for us on compassion. I've never been accused of being short-winded. Yeah, I mean, compassion, I believe, is what Jesus exhibited. I mean, we hear about Jesus, and he's got the multitude, and it says he was moved with compassion. When God moves, it's his love that moves him.
It's his compassion, his mercy, his kindness, his tenderness. The Bible is so chock full of God showing that He's not like us. We want to bring out the sword like Peter and cut off Malchus's ear. When things get hot. No, no, he wanted to cut his head off.
He got just his ear, right? Things get hot, and we want to respond with the flesh, the carnality. The natural man wants to fight back, but Jesus healed Malchus' ear and went with the suffering. He allowed the suffering because he was aware that his father's desire was for him to die. As long as the Christian.
Understands and our first and foremost role is to love God. That means surrender. That means to be devoted to, to have his mind be the mind we follow. Then we are capable of doing what Dr. Caution mentioned to all of us during the break and look at a Saul on the Damascus road and see a Paul.
Wait a minute, you're persecuting me.
However, I'm going to remind you: it's hard for you to kick against the pricks. And then he comes to him later and says, I'm going to show you how much you must suffer for my name. He saw an assignment on his life, he saw value in this man who was a terrorist and had every believer afraid of just the reputation of Saul. But God does not look at the outward appearance.
So I'm sitting here bringing it back home. I'm sitting here listening to these testimonies. I'm hearing, I'm weeping, brothers. I'm weeping at some points of this. Uh we were with a police officer who protected um his community, he was headed to Shabbat.
And These terrorists come into his neighborhood unannounced, and he had his handgun. That's all he had. They had automatic weapons. And he goes through the neighborhood trying his best to take some of these guys out, protect people. He helped an IDF soldier, took this guy to the hospital, got back in the car, and drove back.
Mm. End of the fire. And I see this picture of this man. He's wearing a kippah, and he's got his. Weapon, I'm like, that's the role of a Christian.
That we should understand how to worship while we fight. It's got to be under God, under God, under God.
So, how do I fight? I got to first understand what God's saying I should do. and I'm learning that my posture has been incomplete. I love God. I love Jesus.
I always like to pray. I want to hear God. But when I look at certain people, am I looking at them with his heart? I've never had a hatred toward Israel or Jews or Muslims, but I will not say here that I've always been compassionate. And friends, I'm telling you, when he says they will know you by your love, that is a simple commitment, but an impossible thing to do without the Holy Spirit.
So I'm sitting here listening. I'm gathering compassion. And I believe compassion is like the oil of the anointing. When God gives someone an anointing, or you see, like when Saul, the king Saul, became King Saul, the Bible says he was anointed and became another man. What happened?
God put his love on Saul. When the upper room happened, God put His love on them. They already had the Holy Ghost. He said, Receive the Holy Ghost back in. But at the upper room, they receive a download.
By waiting on him. Of love. And friends, the church is the answer to every problem in the world, but it's got to be a loving church. Amen. And that's what I'm full of.
I'm like, God, what does that mean to me? How do I die To my biases or my withholding love from others. And I do it, guys. I'm telling you, I do it, and I don't like that I do that. You think about when.
Saul was converted, and he shows up at your church the next week and sits on the front row. That's where the church has to show the love. Yeah.
Well, that's where you had to have a Barnabas. Yes. So. Glory to God. Doctor, you can't take Dr.
Date the word and he won't come up with some new formula. Like, you know, he's telling me about Zechariah 8.5 today, and I'm like, so what does that have to do exactly with December 'cause eighth month and the but as it turns out, he he decided to have all our days dated and so not not the month not today I know today you you were impacted by the the fifth verse of the eighth chapter So when we were making the decision to come here, talk to one of the leaders about it. He said, bring some verses. And I went with, you know, it was easy right off the bat for 12:1, 12, 2, 12, 3, because Genesis 12, 1, 2, and 3. And every believer has got to know Genesis 12, 1, 2, and 3.
And then yesterday, the fourth day here, I went with Psalms 135:4, for the Lord has chosen Jacob for himself, Israel, for his special treasure. That's the reminder. This is how God feels.
Well, today... Day 5. I did have Isaiah 12:5 for 12:5, sing to the Lord for He has done excellent things. This is known in all the earth. And what happens here, the whole earth with us know about Israel?
God's doing excellent things here. But there's this interesting verse in Zachariah 8:5, where the people have come back to the land, and it says this: The streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in its streets.
Now, uh I know a lot of parents have told their kids, get out of the street, you don't play in the street, don't play in the street. God said It's going to be so safe. Have mercy. And that's the dream. And when you come down to Jerusalem, you will find kids, children playing in the streets.
And part of what happened today was our guide. He already knew what he was going to do at the end of our tour today. But when he saw my verse, it brought tears to his eyes, because then he's like, Oh, my goodness, we're going to go to a school, and they have on their wall um this verse, Isaiah s uh Zachariah 8-7. 8-5. 8-5.
We're a little tired. 8-5. We were on Facebook Live too, and I'm trying to show a picture, and I can't do two things at once. But we were able to go to this school and see how a school has said our dream is that children will be able to play in streets with nothing to fear. And folks, God is working in this nation.
This is happening. We were also at Shiloh today, and that's in Samaria. And Jeremiah 31, verse 5 says, You shall yet plant vines on the mountains of Samaria. The planter shall plant and eat them as ordinary food.
Now, folks, You do have to come to Israel to see this because you're not going to believe how many rocks there are in Samaria, but there are trees, vines, vineyards being planted right now.
So we'll be back. And you could tell it, these guys are excited. We're fired up. And you ought to be.
So call us 866-348-7884. We come back. All about Samaria. All about Samaria. It's almost like these guys are good Samaritans.
You can hear it as well. You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. Queen personal Welcome back to Truth Talk Live. Today we are again live from Jerusalem, Israel on the Ambassador Summit. Um A thousand pastors Imagine that.
A thousand pastors. Making History. Right? And when you think about that word, we're surrounded by it. All of us are.
You've got one of these books probably close to you, I hope. It's got 66 other books in it. And it all is. His story. His story.
Every one of them. And We have seen it. today where you could reach out and touch it in ways that just blow my mind because um this was my second trip to Shiloh. And what I saw in growth there, because this is Most tourists are you're not going to get to go to Shiloh 'cause it's in the West Bank. It's Palestinian territory.
It's not necessarily safe. Palestinians come in there quite often and let the Jews know that they're not supposed to be there because it's not technically Theirs. But you're going to find there's outposts in Judah that are in Palestinian-controlled territory. It's different than unless... It takes a while to fully understand the picture.
And I hope I can relate this well: that in the south, in Gaza, The Palestinians there are under Hamas. And it's a different group altogether than the Palestinians that are up in Shiloh. which are still PLO, right? It's it's still, you know, these different organizations which fascinatingly fight horribly amongst themselves. But but it's been my experience, and I'll bet it's been yours To Brian.
Having interviewed these people, I don't think there's anybody that loves the Palestinians more than the Jews. Yes, yes. And they prove it. They show it. Exactly.
They go in and save them with their ambulances. Yes. And they. You know, it's an amazing thing, right? I was at Save a Child's Heart just two weeks ago, and they do.
Amazing surgeries on Palestinians with thoracic surgery, heart surgeries of little ones. And right here in In Israel. That shows the love. It does. It does.
What I wanted to p point out that I saw today That It really just gets me. It always does with when I go to Shiloh. But like you talked about, the vines were there in a place that grew nothing. The reason it grew nothing Is because God's people are the only ones, according to the scriptures, that can grow anything there.
So nobody really cared about Israel for, you know. 800 years, or whatever it was, because it was worthless land. You can't get anything to grow, there's no rain. It's desert. Why would anybody want to live there?
Well then, how is it if it's not gone? that you can send all these people back into the land, which by the way aren't farmers because they weren't allowed to own land in Europe. And how come when they go in and they plant seeds in this desert, we get grapevines, and you should have seen all the wine that was laid out on these tables. But these guys are wondering, I've had this chart in my hand. which is hugely significant because when you look at a At a historical site, and that's what I would start out with, history, history.
When you look at a historical site, you want to know. Is this really Garden tomb. Is this really the holy sepulchre? Is this really what it is they're talking about? And if you go up the temple mound and you listen to about three different tour guides, you're going to readjust thoughts.
So. Shiloh's a different place because there's a few places in Israel, like the Sea of Galilee, that you talk about like, yep, that's the sea. That's pretty much the Sea of Galilee. You can't miss that one.
Well, Shiloh's that way, and here's one of the reasons why. Proof. Is that for the Jews In Leviticus, I believe 26, it says that after you Take your sacrifice.
Now, a lot of people think that the Jews sacrifice this stuff and it's all burnt offerings that go up and there's no food involved. That's totally wrong. Most of their offerings are fellowship offerings, which means it's barbecue.
Okay. That's very obvious. And so, no, they would bring all these lambs, especially at Passover. Those lambs that were being slaughtered for Passover were all going to be eaten and had to be devoured before midnight. But what they would do is they would take their pots that they had their sacrifice in and they would go along the the mountain sides there wherever they could be in vision if they could see the tabernacle they could eat their sacrifice.
And so if you can imagine the Passover these times, thousands of families have made the pilgrimage to Shiloh and they've all got Right? They've all got pots. But before sundown, they have to crush these pots. Wow. Wow.
on these mountainsides so thick and and everybody didn't get to see this I'm so grateful that our guide showed us there is literally a mountain Like and they said take one Just pick one up and take it home with you and show people that this is Shiloh and here's how we know. Wow. Because why else would all this broken pottery be all along this shelf around? You know, you don't find it past the point where you can see the tabernacle. In other words, that's.
That's part of the way. And oh, by the way, the flat top where the you know, it's fifty by fifty, et cetera, the the layout's exactly there. There's there's all sorts of artifacts that would indicate that it's Shiloh. But when you think about that empty pond, Mm-hmm. And what do you got to do with it?
Right, you've made your sacrifice, and I bet a few of you have done it. Yeah.
Now, if you're like me, you're a crackpot. Yeah, he was. Anyway, you got the crackpot idea. But then I don't know if you're like me. But before I could have the compassion Frank was talking about, you know, before I could have the The love that I had to be broken.
That's a good word, brother. I had to be empty. and I had to be broken. Yes. And emptied.
It seems like over and over. And it's done every, right? Jesus said something about being a disciple like that. He said in Luke 9, 23. that you have got To die to yourself.
Take up your cross daily. Yeah, and it's one thing to talk about it as you're hearing it now or even see the shard if you're seeing it on But actually Sit down where Hannah prayed. My Lord. And that's where this story really gets as we think about where are we talking about. Listeners, we're in 1 Samuel.
Chapter 1, 2 and 3. This is so moving. Hannah's praying. Go ahead, Robbie. No, no, pick it up.
I love it.
Well, you know, she came to the tabernacle. This is the location. And she wept and she was in such anguish. Eli, he's over looking at it, going, I think that woman's drunk. What's wrong with her?
He misjudged her. Right. Yes, Lord. And I've used that as a leadership lesson of. Be careful.
And Eli did. He had to admit, boy, I blew that one. And Hannah said, No, I'm praying. She was in such anguish, but she laid it before the Lord and she said, Lord, I'm going to go to a level. If you give me a child, I'll give him back.
And then we tried to picture that today, not of her just praying, but. two years, three years later, here she comes walking down that path. and says to Eli, Here's my son. Right, and that son brought Israel back to the body. He brought him back.
Oh, Samuel's one of the greatest. He's one of my heroes. I just want to say. And I just kept thinking about him laying there in that bed, saying. Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening.
Exactly. Did you guys get the last time I was at Shiloh, they didn't have it, but this time they had a comedy team with like three guys who were funny. Oh, they were trying to be funny. Yes, I wasn't funny. They were trying to be funny.
It was strange for me. I don't know how long that went for you, but it went. Steve, did you get to see it too? Yes. Oh, it was hilarious.
These guys were looking for alcohol and everybody. They wanted to make sure you're not drunk. I was wondering what that was about. It's about Hannah. The whole story is here they're talking about Elkanah, which was Hannah's husband, talking about the other wife that had the ten kids and him bringing all these and what they were what they were alluding to is unfortunately in the time of the judges.
And this is very relevant. In the time of the judges, nobody came. They didn't come. They said they were, they lived in their land. Like, I don't need to go down there and do those sacrifices.
I don't need to come to church. Right? And they had fallen away from God. And so Elkinah, one of his deals in the mission, though, you know, in their oral tradition He he would bring 50, then he would be 60, and then he would bring 80, and then he brought 100. And so these guys were like, would somebody stop this guy?
He's make it our job so he's having to f to go through all this stuff. But You know, the the point of it really is, fascinatingly, how many of us, right, realize that Church attendance isn't. What it could be and the people that are missing out Are the people who aren't coming? Mm-hmm. Yes.
And when you are in the presence of the Lord like that and you do have a burden, I don't know about you guys, but I feel a little bit more comfortable on the Hebrews 4:16 that says, Come boldly to the throne of grace. Because I've been coming. And now he's saying, bring that burden. And today I watch people as they almost like we're at the Wayland Wall again of Lord. I am so burdened about this.
And Hannah, she laid it before the Lord. Yes, and listeners, take it to the Lord. Yes. A thought that just came to my mind, you mentioned entiness earlier. And You know, God blesses our emptiness, not our fullness.
That's right. When we empty of ourselves, And that's where that brokenness comes in. When we are broken. We're humble. We come before the God saying, God, more of you, less of me.
And that's what captures his attention. And I really believe that when we come, and I've heard or read somewhere about brokenness, that's how the light gets through. Right. And that's the prayer, that's where Jesus, that compassion you're speaking of. That's where that compassion is exhibited only by the Holy Spirit.
Because we can't do it in our own fleshly nature. But when I empty myself, that's when God begins to pour back in. And what do you think about the guy that was in the. in the dark For five hundred and thirty-five days, wasn't it? Yes.
And what was his deal? He said He loved it. When he would do his kiddish, which was their communion, every Friday night, then he would light his little candle. That's right. Because what?
Because God is light. And that was the light that he chose to focus on. And not unlike your Holy of Holies description, right? The light was there for him, and you can see that faith. And.
You know, we have a chance, all of us, right? We talked about it at the last show, and I would love you guys to comment that we can't unsee what we've seen. Right, right.
So, Brian, like when you go back, what part of that message did you feel like? He wants your congregation to understand. When I returned back to back home to the States, is to understand, you kind of hit it a moment ago. in regards to that the news is catching up. to what the Bible has already said.
And through all of that, I know we're getting ready to go to a break now, but we'll come back. But I tell you, God's done something in me. That I want to share with others. Praise God. And how about you?
You can share now: 866-348-0. 7884-866-348-7884. Come on now. We'd love to hear you. It's Friday afternoon.
Shut it off. You're listening to The Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. Welcome back to True Talk Live today. We are live from the late hours of It's actually Shabbat here in Jerusalem, which you gotta see it to really I mean if you want to see some If you want to see kids like k Jewish children have more fun than anything ever. You just hang out in the lobby of any hotel in Jerusalem on Shabbat, because what happens is, obviously.
Maybe not obviously. They can't cook, right? It's it they're not allowed to do any work. And so the the typical setup for them is they come to the nicer hotels and they spend the night and they have rooms all over and I don't know if you noticed all the the parties that are going on because it is complete party and all the candles that are lit like and all the different Activities, but I don't know if you saw all the kids in the lobby with all the very unique toys that they had and the yelling and the screaming and the playing. And the thing that will surprise you when you come here, and you'll see it when you get on the plane, that the average Jewish couple has seven to eight kids.
And it's not unlikely at all that they would have 10 or 12. The birth rate here is unbelievable. That is also Extremely biblical. And it is also a commandment. Yes.
Be fruitful and multiply.
Well, Two times two is in this case 12, 14, whatever you got. And when you see this action, I mean, have you seen the. Oh, I've seen it. We've sat there and counted. Two, three, four, five.
I believe they've had them in order, too, like one a year. Wow. Man. But anyway, the other thing that I would point out that You know, if you're listening to this show, I'm sure you noticed, if you could imagine, you're just hearing five preachers in the room together, and Steve's been very quiet over there manling, but believe me, he's fully loaded. Thanksgiving.
I talked to a Jewish man today and I'll let you repeat this. At the Jewish man, I he said I said, describe uh Shabbat for me He said, You have Thanksgiving once a year, we have Thanksgiving once a week. What Steve just said and I apologize for the dead air for a second there. But you know. We had to make room for Steve because the poor guy's been sitting there, a pastor, without a word in for a daggum 45 minutes.
Nonetheless, what he said was he was talking to the Jewish man. He said, You guys have Thanksgiving once a year. We have it every week. And if you and they do, and they do, and you can see like at these hotels with their buffets and these families loading up with food. I mean, it's on like Donkey Kong, buddy.
I mean, I like that. That was very hyped of you. I like that. But anyway, you put a thousand pastors together in a bus. Or in 25 buses, as the case may be.
And there's some preaching going on. I'm just saying. Yes. It has been delightful.
So delightful, right? To be around people you know are hungry for God, hungry for the word, hungry to see what their role is in this, and at the same time discerning. Yes. Right? Because, you know, let's just call it as we see it.
There's a sense we're being manipulated. Right? There's like, you know, am I being sold something? Right? Because everybody's got.
Agenda is okay. And yes, okay.
However, Our mission, if we chose to accept it when we came over here, and Dr. Carson and I talked about it a lot, I'm sure you guys did too. Our mission is to find God. Our mission is to find the message God has. Our mission as journalists, Frank, and I would love you to speak to this, as a journalist and studying journalism as you did.
You know, you want to bring the truth. And I think that's that's one of the things that um we don't find a lot. I'm very careful not to throw stones, cast stones, to use the biblical terminology. What I will say is, we all have to be very careful about the standard of truth. Um because not all truth is truth.
Um when I was in what people would call secular media, commercial media, whatever the case may be, the standard was fair and balanced. I think that's biblical. I think God calls unbalanced scales an abomination. That's right. And you walk into that as a believer, knowing that it's not a Christian broadcast organization.
So you're looking for at least. equality of voice. Seeking to invest in getting as many truths as you can to present a balanced package. That has not been happening. It has not been happening for quite some time.
And I'm just going to lay this out on you guys. You ready for this? I'm ready. If we go back to Genesis and we think about. The Tower of Babel.
We talk about Nimrod. We talk about pride. We talk about how man is capable of doing anything man agrees to do together, such that God had to step in and do what? Scatter their language. That he did.
Babylon, as we know, is being rebuilt. Amen. Somebody. With the proliferation of media, what has happened? With the proliferation of Internet, the world is becoming smaller again.
And so that same Babylon is seeking to use language, the transmission of message, to build an anti-Christian, anti-Christ world. And we're there. Discernment was the word you used. That's a spiritual thing. Discernment comes from the Holy Spirit.
Paul said that you can have wisdom that comes from man. And you can have wisdom comes from God, was basically he was saying. And that the foolishness. is what most people would call what we call discernment. We've got to be unusual and uncommon in what we consume and what we repeat.
The church's mouth has life in it. Jesus said, My words are spirit and life. We've got to make sure that the gates of our mind. Eyes, ears, mouth, these things are pure.
So I'm concerned, Robbie, as you just went into the whole media thing, that it's becoming harder and harder for people to just read and listen and then trust. We've got to be very careful. About where we're sourcing our information. I'm not just talking about reading the Bible, like that, that should be simpler for us. I'm going to seek God's word.
But I'm saying when you're looking at current events, where we are right now is the most important current event on the planet. Yes. Yeah.
Even though it's a small country, small number of people. But God's heart is here because when Jesus returns, he's going to be on the Mount of Olives. We're going to gather around the temple. The prince is going to come. He's going to have territory.
We're going to dwell with him. It's an amazing picture of how God wants to do what Babylon is trying to do, but doing under a banner of love. That's right. Yeah, wants to and will. It's happening, but watch this.
If we're not careful, we'll be like the foolish virgins who are resting on the laurel of being a bride or being a virgin. Oh, I'm saved. Oh, I'm this. But there's an inheritance. That comes through devotion.
And that can be interrupted by the messages we hear, the sources that we hear.
So I love what Dr. Carson has been doing. He's taking us to the word, which he wants to do again, I can see it. This has to be our media. I'm telling people, they want to make it seem like this can't be applicable to all this.
It has to be applicable, or we don't understand what's going on. As believers, we've got to be 1 Chronicles 12:32. We've got to be like the sons of Iskar who understood the times. We have to. We got to understand the times.
Yes. So good. And here we've got people. And again. Not all Muslims are terrorists, but there were terrorists who had a plan who came in and brutalized.
There is no way of getting around. We could say that they started the war. No, they came in and they were vicious. Yes, they were. They slaughtered people.
And I guess I think I saw a little of it. But the other day We saw things. Yes. And we heard from people And all of a sudden you realize you're right, this is not to be tolerated. They cannot continue to do this.
Now, can I take something you just said and watch this? The plan from the get-go was for the images to be broadcast. They wanted to foment. Fear here, but foam support Elsewhere in the world. They knew, this is documented.
Sinoir, who was the leader, he wanted them. He wanted to create a more violent Israel. He wrote this down. We're gonna make them so exaggerated in their response That the world's going to turn against them. That is a, I'm going to say it, I believe it was a demonic idea planted by Satan and his imps.
into a man's mind and proliferate it And that's why I'm saying we gotta be careful. Because on our universities in America, which is one of the reasons why we're here, is they're seeing our young people being brainwashed. By imagery that is rooted in a satanic plan to turn America, Israel's greatest, most important ally, against it. Exactly. They use TikTok theology.
When I returned from Israel last year, after being here in March, and I went to the Nova Festival where 364 people were killed and others taken hostage, at that point in time when I returned back to Newark, New Jersey, there was a 24-year-old college student. She asked me, where did I return from? I said, Israel. First words out of her mouth, they're committing genocide. She then went on to tell me, she went on to tell me that what I saw after describing the kibbutz and the mashab that I've, and the stories we heard, it wasn't real.
And then I went on to ask her, from the river to the sea, let Palestine be free. Explain to me, what does that mean? She didn't know. It just illustrates to us There's a almost ask a willful ignorance there, not wanting to know, but we know. that the word This word here tells us where we are discerning the times in which we're in.
And you just said it. Here's their statement. They keep saying from the river to the sea, the river to sea. What they're doing is going against Exodus 23, 31. I've got to say it quickly.
And I will set your bounds from the Red Sea to the sea, Philistine, and the desert and to the river, for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand, and you shall drive them out. Amen. Exodus 23, 31, that's the right of Israel to this land. Yes, thank y'all for listening to that. As you can tell, a little fired up, man.
I don't know if they're going to be able to go to sleep. We love our listeners. Shabbat.
