Was Israel Right? A Preemptive Strike Debate

This is kind of a great thing and I'll tell you what. Where pop culture, current events, and theology all come together. Speak your mind. And now, here's today's Truth Talk Live host. Hey, we want your calls 866-348-668-868-868- 7884, and the question of the day is, was Israel correct or right in doing a preemptive strike of Iran to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons?

We want your calls right now. I've got Robbie Dilmore right here. And Robbie, there's a whole lot going on in the world right now. Oh, I I'm going to tell you because, you know, I was in Israel just you know, about three weeks ago, and actually at one of those times in a bomb shelter, because a lot of people don't realize that that not only did they have all those missile strikes today, but they they literally have 10 to 12 missiles being shot at them every single day. I have an app on my phone, like I saw all the missiles that came through.

One of them apparently hit in Tel Aviv th this evening and injured seven people.

So it's it's been a war for a while and a lot of people don't realize that You know, over here, we don't hear about it because all of them are getting shot out by the dome, et cetera. But, you know, Israel's got a lot going on, and I would love to know what people think on this. 866-348-7884. Yeah, and I think we've got people calling in already. We've got a Deborah.

What do you think about this? Was Israel in the right, Deborah?

Well, you know, I believe so, Mike. And I feel like We know scripture tells us That We're in probably the latter days now. And I feel this is part of the build up Um From Ezekiel thirty-eight and Ezekiel thirty-nine. And that this is and we have to remember You know, that God is working, and God, you know, works through people, God works through nations. Um Going back to October the 7th.

with the atrocities to civilians When, you know, They were attacked. viciously Heinous. Yeah. done to the Jewish people. and twenty were still being held hostage The last that I had heard that Many killed.

And we're talking about children. innocent children Not It not Soldiers. Um Grandparents. Parents. Teenagers Um you know the full gamut.

And Um The things that have been said towards Israel and even Christians. It's not just about the Jewish people. It's about the Christians as well. where we're considered infidels. and that they're wanting to destroy us.

They are. They are wanting to destroy us. And I've got a few, I've got a few Bible verses right here, Deborah. I've got Genesis 12:3, and it says that I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse those who curse you. And in you, all the families of the earth shall be blessed.

And this verse is actually interpreted by some as a promise that those who bless Israel will be blessed, and those who curse Israel will be cursed. Genesis 15, verses 18 through 21, these verses repeat God's promise to Abraham about a land which is today the land of Israel. And Robbie, in 1948, when Israel became a nation. That was a prophecy fulfilled. Yeah, that's a really cool one.

In that there's so much that has happened since 1948 that just piles on and piles on of the prophecies being fulfilled. When you look at Jewish people coming from all corners of the earth to fill the land again, the land just simply flourishing. There's more Jews in the land today than there ever has been in history. And so as we see what Israel is... the great things that God has done in Israel, we actually are fulfilling Zephaniah 3 in that it says that the nations will say what great things God has done for Israel.

And you can see that certainly in the 1967 war, you can even see that, you know, all these missiles being fired at Israel right this very minute, actually. And God continues to protect them. Yeah, and Deborah, I want to thank you for the call. We've got a Joanne, it looks like, out of Miami, who's on the phone as well. Are you there, Joanne?

I'm here. And yeah, the Lord laid on my heart Genesis 50, 20. And it says That we serve a God that can work good out of evil. And it Might seem that to have that we might have seemed to have peace. but we serve an awesome God.

um who is not bound by human perspective.

So What that told me is even though we don't see that piece, God is working f Throughout everything. Um So he can change the hearts. of these people. He can do whatever he wants. of these leaders.

Um, I was just reading that um they just um You know, the Israel army went ahead and just took out the commander. And they went ahead and they got another one.

So, you know. Um, they don't stop. But we do serve a great God. And we just need to keep praying for Israel. and holding on to it.

You know what happened in october seventh was horrible for especially me being Jewish and seeing You know, my people, just going ahead and just getting demolished, I mean, it really hurt me. Um but What God was also showing me is a lot of the Americans, Jewish people. don't even know and don't even care. And it's sad. It really is sad.

Um, you know, uh, I mean, they have a real um They don't. Yeah, I guess they just don't have that, um heart, you know, um, God's heart.

So they don't really think about it. They just go on with their life. And I saw a lot of that. I see a lot of that all the time. But you know, when you have Jesus, You have you want it be that Christ-like and you want that heart.

of God. Amen. Oh, go ahead. No, that's all I really have to say. It's just, you know, it hurts, you know, to see this.

But also, We don't know what's behind scenes what God is doing. And I you know, to get that nuclear Um And get all those engineers that went ahead and made those nuclear weapons. Um, you know, we don't know what go what what God has in stored.

Well, God knows what he has in store. And sometimes I think, Joanne, Joanne, thank you for the call. But I think sometimes what happens is, is we get ahead of God and we start to worry. And Robbie Dilmore, we just did a show about that. But it's funny, God is way ahead of us.

God knows what he's doing. And I tell you what, brother, in his word, we don't have to worry. And God does support Israel. And I believe he's going to protect Israel. What do you think?

What do you think, Robbie? Oh, yeah. Yeah, he has all along and in different ways, even in you know, as they were exiled. He was still supporting them because he was trying to get them to the point where they would come back to him. And as they come back into the land, it's still a matter of them coming back to him as well.

Okay, my thoughts are Iran was rather Israel was wrong. for attacking Iran the way they did. Because A snake, a venomous snake. It's in his nature to bite. trying to make a deal with a snake.

I'm going to work for you. They should have struck Iran. Harder and much sooner. Catch them when they're surprised, when they don't think you're ready to go. That's and then you eliminate that enemy.

I think the head of that snake needs to be crushed. permanently. That's what they did wrong. That's what they did wrong. And so for a second, we almost thought you were on the other side.

But you're that was good, Frank. But you're pro-Israel. Let me ask you a question. Why are you pro-Israel? Because God is for Israel.

God, anyone who God is for, I'm for. Any enemy of God is my enemy.

Well, that's a great point. That's a great point. And, you know, there are a lot of people out there, Robbie, who, and I'm actually seeing this in the conservative circles now, where there are conservatives who are going against Israel. I saw a guy that I know who is very conservative, but he came out and he said he's against Israel. And we've seen people like Candace Owens, who were conservatives, who were now actually turning on Israel.

And I think a lot of people are just being led astray. What do you think, Frank? I believe that anybody who thinks that Israel is in the wrong. needs to get back inside that Bible because It's obvious. And it's plain in the scripture.

That God has blessed the world through the nation of Israel. We would never have had Jesus Christ and salvation, were it not for the nation of Israel and the seed of Abraham. Through Isaac and Jacob. Unfortunately. Abraham Listen to Sarah.

And He had child Ishmael. And because of that, Israel has a permanent enemy until the return of Christ. They do, but I see now what I see is Israel in the natural, Frank. Israel should not even be there anymore. I mean, in the natural, because you've got all of these countries that are surrounding them that want to wipe them off the face of the planet.

And they said, what do they say, Frank, from the river to the sea, right? Yes, of course. But my my answer to that is from the river to the river Israel will be free. Amen, brother. Mm-hmm.

That's from the Euphrates River to the Nile River. Just in case anybody's wondering, what Ripple. I got you.

Well, do you think, do you believe that God is supernaturally protecting Israel, Frank? Oh, there's been there've been miracles, miracle after miracle between percentages of missile stock And just the accuracy of the Mossad's intelligence in finding these. the generals and and other evil, evil people who are plotting the destruction of Israel. and they're just being eliminated One after another, and there's you cannot win when you're fighting against God, you are not going to win. and uh all all religions.

that are against God will be done away with. Jesus Christ is going to come a ruler, and he will not tolerate. any other religions 'cause he has he does not share his face with anyone. He does not share his face with anybody. That's right, brother.

And Frank, I thank you for. Go ahead. Go ahead. He doesn't share space with any other. No God shall be brought before him.

Um He will eliminate all those. Listen, God is either an imagination of an inanimate object or it's a devil or a demon. That's the only thing that these religions are, every one of them. I don't care what title they go under, it's either the evil imagination of man. put on an inanimate object Or it's an actual devil.

People don't believe they're real. I know they're real. You know they're real, brother.

Well, Troy, let me ask you a question. What are your thoughts on Israel and Iran? Uh well Like a previous scholar said, the Bible says. to stand with Iran or with uh Israel, I apologize, right?

So Uh I think Iran's got to be taken care of. And I believe what you said earlier is, how has Israel survived in that climate, in that part of the country with everyone just surrounding them, yet miraculously they just they remain. That is correct. And so, and you said, Troy, we talked earlier, you said you've been on mission trips with other people. And what can you tell me about that?

Well, I mean, just like a lot of people have probably gone on mission trips, but sometimes you think maybe you have the same beliefs until when things like this happen in the world, you start finding out that They've got a whole different belief and I've seen many people, many missionaries that are standing with Gaza. And it blows my mind that they completely ignore and they never address What Hamas did on the seventh of October is never mentioned. And uh it it's it's like the things that are happening in our country. They'll denounce decide that they're against, but they don't actually talk about The reason for people standing up for their own land. You know what I'm saying?

I mean, our country's in the middle of a breakout of war in certain cities across this nation right now, you know? Unfortunately, the media just paints a pretty dismal picture of the whole They will always highlight anything Israel does wrong because of, you know, obviously the enemy is going to be continually against Israel. And fortunately, God's for Israel. But it's interesting, right, that I, you know, you teach, you talk to some of the younger people that are going to, you know, our schools today, whatever, and a lot of them are standing with Gaza, like you said. But when you ask them, do you know what happened, like you said, do you know what happened on October 7th?

Do you realize? I have no idea. Do you know Israel is being shot at like these million-dollar missiles, 10, 15, 20 of them are going into Israel a day. People aren't told that. You haven't heard that, but I can assure you, I've got an app on my phone.

I'll show you. It wasn't just today that they were fired. It was three days ago. It was yesterday. How are you not going to defend yourself if you have that going on every day of your life?

I was, like I said, I was in a bomb shelter in Jerusalem three weeks ago. I know what they're talking about. And we're not being, we don't get that news.

Okay, that was easy. Why do you say that?

Well, they have to support their land. They've been attacked on October 7th brutally. The hostages have never been re all the hostages have never been returned yet. And they continue to fire missiles almost daily at them. The people have like fifteen seconds to get to their bomb shelter.

How in the world would you ever live like that? And what if your child was still after? this many days still in a I know, in Gaza. Yeah, you know, if you're going down the highway in Jerusalem a couple of times, you know, the airline's hiring go off, and you watch all these people pull over the side of the road, and they're putting their heads down between their legs, and they're sitting over on the, I mean, whole busloads of people and whatever, and that, and that's a daily routine. Like, that's what it just goes on.

And I know. And if you lived that every single day, you'd be like, don't we have a right to make this stop? Don't we have a right to take care of ourselves? Yeah. Absolutely.

And Sarah, you have a friend. We're just going to use her first name. Her name is Sharon. Robbie knows Sharon. And she's actually over in Israel right now.

And she's been, I mean, they're in bomb shelters right now. And this is something, I mean, it's constantly going on. I don't think there's been a whole lot of peace in the Middle East, as we used to hear when we were kids. And Israel is constantly being attacked.

So, Sarah, what makes you pro-Israel? Why are you pro-Israel? I read the Bible and I understand that God has gifted that land to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. And they have a title deed to the land of Israel. Absolutely.

I agree with you. And Sarah, I thank you for the call. And we've got somebody else on the phone. We've got a very special guest coming up right now. But we've got a Rick Pearson.

Well, Rick, let me ask you this: who is right in this situation? Is it Iran or Israel? And why do you think that? Israel is definitely right. You know, I just did a reel, and I said to people.

What would you personally do? If your daughter An eighteen-year-old daughter. was in a tunnel as a hostage being raped What would you do? Israel must do something, and Iran is the head of the snake. And you know, a lot of people are talking about Ezekiel 38.

And it says Ezekiel prophesied. And he prophesied against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshach. We are not dealing with flesh and blood here. You are dealing with an entity, a chief prince, Older Persia. That is evil.

And it even says, an evil thought will come into your mind someday and come against Israel.

Now, When the Gog Magog War takes place, It says that you will go up to the land of unwalled villages. I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling safely. having neither bars nor gates. Once Israel gets this done. There it's going to be a time of peace.

I don't know how long we have. But we could have s you know, ten or twenty years before the Gog Magog war takes place now. Because they basically have set it up. They have gone against. This spirit, Gog, And he works through people.

Spirits work through people. And when it says that that that God will think an evil thought right now. Iran is bombing civilians. They're not even bombing. Uh uh Military sites.

Israel went in and they are surgically taking out military sites. and trying to stay away from civilian sites. God is with Israel. But he is not with the spirit that's hovering over Iran that the Bible literally says God will think an evil thought.

So that's that I am 100% behind what Israel is doing. Yeah, and Rick, I wanted to tell you, and I don't want people to forget. That there has been a wonderful revival where many people in Iran are coming to Christ. And I've heard it said before that they think it's only a matter of time before the regime in Iran is actually turned over and things are gonna change. And there already have been some changes.

Um but do you think God could be using this situation for his good? Absolutely. You know what? God loves everyone. God loves the Iranian people.

He loves the Muslim people. But there's something evil. That's that's over top. And when you do, when you see what radicalized Islam does. to innocent people, it's evil.

But God loves the people. And his heart, he said, I have no delight in the death of the wicked. but that they will come to me and receive salvation. You know, I'm hoping and praying. that if they can take out the people that want to do evil, there could be a revival and we could have a time of peace for the next twenty, thirty years.

And I'm Canadian and I really like your President. Uh Trump to enter the golden age, we might enter a time here of prosperity in the next ten or twenty years. that we've never seen before and a time of peace So now the world's a mess, but we're not fighting with flesh and blood. We're fighting with spirits that are working through people. Yeah, I, you know, is if anybody had a chance to hear.

The supreme leader of Iran and his statements. About i I mean you could s I mean the I I think it Just the normal person from my standpoint. You watch Netanyahu speak in what he's saying. And understand he speaks English and the Iranian doesn't. But you look at the tone of voice, you look at the look in his eyes.

And of course, anything that says Zion in it, it just brings up such hate and such venom as you can see the snake all over the place. I mean, I don't know how you could miss it. Have you watched any of that, Mike? Oh, I have. And I've been watching it for years.

I mean, and you see such vitriol and hate and disregard for human life. And it's not just Iran. It's many of these other countries. And some of them are better at hiding it than others. But, Rick, you're a prophecy guy, and that's what your show is.

How do you think Israel could be fitting into the end times? And especially with what you're talking about with Mystery Babylon?

Well, I've been focusing on this Ezekiel 38, 39 for the last 10 years. And what Israel is doing now, it's cleaning up the mess. And setting up so that there's going to be peace in the Mideast.

Well, that's when, all of a sudden, God rises up and he stirs people up to go and attack Israel. But Israel God's hand is on Israel right now. And he's fighting against Gog, the chief prince, of Meshach and Tubal. And I believe he's giving us a Josiah moment in history Josiah, you know, he came against the evil in the land. and he stopped Baal worship.

And he was a king of Israel. They brought the Torah to him, and he ripped his clothes. He said, What are we doing in our country? We're going to pull down judgment.

Well, he he got rid of all of the BO worship all of the child sacrifice. And God gave him twenty-three years. He said, Because you've done this, Josiah. And you've you've had a heart after me. I'm still going to judge.

Ezekiel 38:39 is going to take place, but because your heart was right, He will not see the judgment. And this is what I believe. My next, I'll just give a little plug. My next book coming out in September. September is called America's just by a moment, a reprieve of things to come.

So I think we're watching Bible prophecy taking place right now, the hand of God move. And keep in mind God does not delight in the death of the wicked But that they come to him. But sometimes. When Goliath is standing there, God will say, He's not going to come to me, go and take him out. And I think that's what's happening right now.

Yeah, absolutely. And Rick, so as far as the end times and all of that stuff, because we've got some time now. I wanted to ask you: you believe that mystery Babylon is America in the Bible. Do you have a minute to explain that? Yes, there are eight providential nations in Scripture.

Six of them have come and gone. It's in Revelation 17:10, and it says, And the beast is the eighth. Kingdom. The beast system is what we see trying to happen right now with the New World Order and the United Nations. But before that system takes over, there's a seventh kingdom before the beast comes.

And that seventh kingdom is a woman, she sits on the beast or holds him down. And this is what we're watching right now. We're watching America hold down the beast. We're watching Israel hold down the beast, sitting on him. But the seventh kingdom Has fifty-three biblical descriptions.

She's the richest nation in the history of the world. She's the most powerful militarily. Her iconic symbol is that of a woman, and she sits on the seven mountains of the earth. which are peoples, tongues, nations, And she rules over them. And my father would always talk about 1948. I mean, it's like a deja vu to me, what everybody's been saying about. Israel and God taking care of Israel. Um. And I really believe in my heart that, that, that is the case.

How can I p say this? My dad would tell me these things, and I would not be he didn't tell me these things to be worried about them. He told me these things to God's under control. And um you have peace uh in your heart because God is telling you Is showing you that, hey, I'm out here and I'm under control and I'm going to take care of things. Don't be worried.

My wife was a little bit worried. She went out and bought some water and some. Extra food. And I kept telling her, you know, God's under control. Was this last night, Mike?

Yeah, this was last night. And you said that was like World War three is on, you know? Is that what you're saying? She really thinks so. And she really oh my gosh, she's worried about how much rice we have and is the do we have enough gas?

Do we have cash on hand? And I'm like, Tammy, Tammy, God's in control. We don't have to worry about anything. Yeah. That's every day I hear my dad telling me these things.

He said, but don't worry. Shit, what's kind of neat about that, Mike, is you know, Tammy and I my my Tammy and I were were in Israel five weeks ago, right? And uh I have a picture of her in the bomb shelter. Um By the way, and I have to tell this story because I think it's it's it's it's kind of illustration of what you're talking about.

Okay. You know, we felt completely self-safe. And I never saw her really all that concerned until she got down in that bomb shelter. But I thought, you know, this is just Robbie thinking, hey, I got to capture this moment because, you know, I've never been in a bomb shelter in my life. And to be in here with Tammy, you know, what a neat thing.

And so I pick around, I come around the corner and I got my camera on, and she looks at me like, what in the world are you doing? Why are you not terrified? And I was like, because I really. You know, I feel like God's protecting us. I feel like it's okay, but I just want to capture the moment because, you know, I may not be here again.

And at the time, she was really mad. But it's interesting how many times she has told me since How God really worked on her through that experience of, we're going to be okay. We're going to be okay. And, and, You know, we got the next day, we got in the bus and we started to head towards the city of David, and the sirens go off, and people are getting out of their cars, and they're on the side of the road. And and Tambi was a different person That next morning, Than she was the night before.

And it's an illustration: God. you know, kind of comes for you, not just in protecting you, but he comes for your heart to say, hey, you can rest right here. You know, there's a fear of the Lord that's a delight in the fear of the Lord, according to Isaiah 11. And it really is a beautiful thing. Yeah, I'm reminded of, you know, the Meshach, Bendigo, put it in the fiery furnace, you know, and they were at peace, you know.

They said, I don't care what you're going to do to us. my God is going to be victorious. And obviously he was. But even though we were pa if they would have perished, they would have still never worshiped another God. That's the whole thing my dad was telling me about Israel and all the coming with the end of the world and all that stuff.

He says. You know, God is going to take care of us and Absolutely. You shouldn't have to worry about nothing. Absolutely. Well, Mike, I want to thank you for the call.

And it looks like we've got a Terry out of Kerry, North Carolina. But Terry, are you there? What do you think of the whole Israel situation, brother? Oh it In a way, it's exciting because uh It's really escalating the time when uh and advancing the time when the Lord will return and and uh They uh Maybe It reminds me too that There's prophecy that all Israel will turn As a nation, they will turn. We talk about revival in Iran, but there will be.

a mighty revival right in Israel. In imagination they will turn to their Messiah. The and I'm and we were talking about this earlier, Michael, that Think about a marriage. that takes place because a bride wants to get out of a bad situation. Uh And that's Not so much because She loves the groom, but she but the groom is her ticket out, her ticket, her lunch ticket out of this situation.

And so that's no foundation for That's a weak foundation for for even a lifelong marriage. And God God is going to have a bride that's not just wanting him to deliver them from a mess But they're going to be absolutely enamored in love with With him. And in that l the fragrance that comes from their praise, their praises. The the things they do out of that That relationship and obedience to him will exude such a fragrance that he will not be able, the groom, the heavenly bridegroom. price will not be able to resist them anymore.

And Israel is going to be right at the center of that, right at the center of it. It's always the case when something ma uh of great significance happens in the church that it's provoked by something or preceded by something very key and significant in Israel. And this is no exception. Absolutely. And Robbie, you know this verse.

It says in Romans 8:28 that we know that all things work together for good to those who love God and for them who are called according to his purpose. And I really, really love what Terry said. Isn't that cool? You know. that they come to God not because He's saving their bacon, so to speak.

It's because of that unbelievable aroma that you only get when you're in God's presence. And I can't think of a better story than your cannibal story, Mike. I mean, it's a perfect example of that. You know what I'm saying? The cannibal and the tree.

Oh, yeah. The well, I was just telling this story on the show that we did, but there was a, there was, and thanks for the call, Terry. But I just, I wanted to share something with you. I heard a story about a guy who was a missionary, and he did a mission trip overseas. It was in Africa.

And when he was there, there were a group of cannibals who hated Christians. And he got a tip the night before that they were going to come to his house, they were going to burn his house down, and they were going to kill him.

So he ended up hiding in a tree close by. And he was there when they came to his house and they looked for him and they wanted to kill him. But what happened was that he saw them and he was able to see what they were doing. And he said that during that time when they were burning his house down, he said he has never felt so close to the Lord as he did at that time. It was like the supernatural provision of God, the supernatural peace of God.

And he said, if he had to go back to that same situation and be in that tree, he Would do it all over again so that he could feel that closeness with God. And Robbie, you felt that before too. I I I have it's you know through my um Brain abscess that I had where I had that word that I may not make it, and I can remember all too well. Yeah, again, he may be saving your bacon and he's healing you one way or the other, but but the real point that he made, which is absolutely amazing, is that closeness to God is is in of itself the reward that that that Terry was talking about, which is just so beautiful that that I believe wholeheartedly what he's saying is at hand. And it's an amazing thing as God will reveal his Messiah to them.

And oh my goodness, like get ready. Get ready. And you know what? I heard one time, Robbie. I heard that if you, as a Christian, if you're just as worried, as scared, and as nervous as everybody else.

Why would a non-Christian want to listen to you? But when you go through a tough time, when somebody dies in your family, when you go through a divorce, when you have the worst of circumstances, you lose a child, God forbid. And they see something different about you. They see you react in a different way than the world is reacting. Many times, in those situations, the people will come to you, Robbie, and they will say, What is it that's different about you?

The Bible says to always be willing to give an answer for the reason, for the hope that you have within you. And it may be a problem. If nobody's coming to you and asking you that, Maybe you need to have some of that hope that only Jesus can give. Right. And you could see that in Terry, right?

That he wasn't concerned about World War III. He was excited because, man, God is in control, and this is going to be awesome. And it is. I mean, I did an interview one time with G. Gordon Liddy, and He started off the interview by saying, you know, it's a blessing to be born in interesting times.

Yeah. Like We live in interesting times. I mean, there's a lot going on and an opportunity to do some faith stretching, an opportunity to see God come through. And, you know, their testimony is a chance to show off what God has done in so many different ways. And certainly things He's done for Israel.
