This guy, I let you out of my sight for just a second, Herb, and another book pops out. What are you doing, brother? I'm just responding to what God wants me to do. Amen. You know, so many times we're at Wednesday in the Word. There's still guys over there praying, fellowshipping, encouraging each other. We've been out of our men's Bible study for like over an hour and guys are still at it. Sometimes I won't leave Dario till afternoon, but it's so encouraging to be among men of God who love the Lord. We're getting in the Bible together and so many times I'll finish this time, Herb, and you'll grab me before I leave you and say, Stu, God gave me a quote from today.

Just the way your mind works, I guess, as a former professor and a mentor to so many and a man who's been both behind the podium and in the workforce. You know, we were talking about AI this morning and, you know, an acronym just came to my mind as we're talking right now. You know, we talk about the EV, the electric vehicle stations. Well, when I come to Wednesday in the Word, the EV is the evangelistic verse. That's the EV for the day. It's a tongue twister, but that's beautiful.

Evangelistic verse. Yeah, so I get charged up every Wednesday, man. Well, you know, that's right.

You know, it's interesting. We've got to keep our fuel tanks charged. We've got to fuel up. We've got to get the Lord. We've got to connect to the Lord. We've got to connect to other men and get in the Word together. And it's so important. And that's kind of what's driven you, isn't it, to write these books to get people to fuel their soul.

Well, failure is what drove me because I was failing and in a moment I said, God, I give up. I've got to quit praying. What can you do for me? I've got to start praying.

What can I do for you? And the response I got was, Herb, use your talents to spread my word. So that's what I've been doing. And my first book was my journey through the Bible. When I finished, I said, what's next? He said, don't you understand? Never stop.

So I did three never stop books. Then I talked about technology. Then some friends of mine said, Herb, you need to share your thoughts. What you say are amazing. They should be quotes. You should write them down. So I started writing down quotes from my conversations with people. And it became a book, A Quote Could Lead the Way, with a unique Bible verse connected to each quote. I like that. Some really good, really good mic drops in here, Herb.

I mean, I just open it randomly. Be a leader to someone somewhere in these times before your time is gone. A lot of quotes like that on season each day, right? Each quote has a Bible verse connected with it as well. Philippians 2, 4, what's that say? It says, not looking to your own intentions, but to each of you, the interests of others.

So, you know, this is a unique way to encourage people, to inspire people, and also connect them to verses in the Bible in a way they've never been connected before. Everyone loves a quote, and you've got a whole bunch of them. How many quotes total in this book?

I mean, it keeps going on and on. There's 100 Herb Burns quotations. They say, where'd you get all those quotes? I said, they just came out of my brain.

You've already written a sequel and a bunch of more sequels, because every time I talk to you, you've got another quote. But it's just a way. You've been teaching for a long time. It's a way to get to put some teeth on some things, right? To put, kind of put the shoe leather to the ground.

Yeah. You know, it's about communication. Can you affect communication in the fewest words possible? What are the fewest things you can say that will make somebody respond or take action to what you said?

So, Herb Burns, this book, a quote could lead the way. You're also an artist. Talk about the picture. You've got Jesus with his back to us. You're not trying to create a frontal image of Jesus. You've got his back walking the path. Talk about this and the significance of following him. Well, that's the whole issue when we read what Christ wrote about, what the disciples wrote about Christ in the Bible. If we follow Christ's path, and that's what the image of the book cover is about, we're seeing Christ walk down a path.

And, man, would I love to follow him down whatever path he walked and listen to whatever he might have to say. Speaking of paths, I love this 26th quote. It's time to recharge our passion, lift the sails of our vision, and chart a course that will change our futures. Well, that was affected when I was teaching. Somebody said, how do you know what you're going to teach? I said, well, you always have to look to the future. You always have to be ready for the wind to blow you in a different direction. And when it does, be ready to make the adjustment so that you can reach your final destination.

I love it. You've got this Deuteronomy verse, Deuteronomy 31. The Lord says, I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.

Her burns. God's really watched over you in your life. How have you seen personally in this book bless you and bless others so far?

Let me just share a couple of testimonies. I was at a lunch one day, and I passed this book to a lady sitting next to me. She started thumbing through the quotations, and her eyes got all teary. She was starting to cry as she looked through the book. A week later, I asked somebody, why was she crying? She said, this lady has so many problems in her life, and these quotations were ministering to her. They were reaching her soul, and she caused her to cry. The other night, a lady calls my wife.

I hear the conversation on the phone. She's in tears. She said, Susan, I want to thank you so much. You may know this lady, Sybil.

I won't mention the last name. But Sybil said, my grandson just failed in something, and I just needed to reach out to him. So I said, you know, I'm going to open your book up and see what inspires me to do. So I just randomly opened it, and it came to the perfect quote for me to share with my grandson to respond to what has happened to him in his life at this moment. Well, Herb Burns, I just want to thank you, and I want to applaud you in the Lord here, because you could be chasing a little light ball or hunting for seashells, but you're using the days of your life to reach people, even at this stage in your life, when you've done so much, accomplished so much, and this quote reminds me of that. It's in your book. It's your quote, so I'm going to use your quote. I love using Herb Burns' quote for chapter 51. Life is temporary.

Use your remaining time wisely. Yeah. Well, I've got to share something somebody else said. You know him as well, Dr. Gary Chapman. He said, when I was a child, my mother would often hand me an apple and say, an apple a day will keep the doctor away. After reading this book, I would like to say, a quote a day may keep failure away. I predict that if you let this book be your companion for 100 days, you will find your life greatly enriched, Dr. Gary Chapman. Hey, the author of the five love languages, when he speaks, we listen, right? That's exactly right, yeah. So you got quotes about your book of quotes. I like that.

Yes, I do. I was surprised also to get Mark Victor Hansen to endorse my book. And he's written a book called Chicken Soup for the Soul and all kinds of other books. And he endorsed my book. So that was a blessing. And also the man I'm sitting next to, talking with, Stu Epperson, he also endorsed my book. Just amazing. Well, it's been a blessing. Your books have been a blessing to me. You're a great part of our men's group.

It was cool. This morning, we had a couple of first-timers, new guys here at Wednesday in the Word. And that's why, folks, by the way, you can hear the noise. It's a little clamorous. Guys are still fellowshipping. Iron sharpening iron over there.

We got guys praying and encouraging each other, even a couple hours after Bible study is over. But you handed me a book as I came in. I'm like, okay, now another book from her, what's going on here? You said, give this to a first-timer, right?

I did. And the book was called Never Stop Asking, Discovering, and Sharing. And those three words, ask, discover, and share, have changed people's lives. And there's stories in that book from other people, how those words have transformed their lives as well. And Stu, you might be in that book. I know you wrote a story in one of my books. Maybe it was Never Stop Pursuing God's Vision and Mission for You.

That's what it was. I love that. And Dwayne Candy's in one of them, too. He's in heaven now with my dad. But you've got some great leaders in there. Fred Hagee, who wrote the great soul-winning book.

Some of our guys. And I love the fact you're showcasing guys that may not be best-selling authors like Brother Gary, but God's used them and given them wisdom. They've touched you. And you said, hey, let's put this in print, and let's put this in a way to bless other people. Who knows who can pick up a book and be blessed, right? Well, see, those other people, like yourself, you're part of the ingredients to help me build the foundation.

You know, concrete has proper ingredients. So when you talk to people about soul-saving and sharing the Word, you've got to have the right ingredients. And those people that have stories in my books, they make the right ingredients to build a foundation for people's lives in the future. Well, folks, you need a pithy book on quotes. It's anchored in Scripture. Get the book a quote, in quotes, by the way the word is, could lead the way by my buddy Herb Burns. You'll read things like, the best things in life worth breaking are bad habits.

You'll read quotes like, gravity will ground you physically, but faith will always lift you up. You'll be blessed by it. I've been blessed by it.

Gary Chapman's been blessed by it. I want to encourage you to get it. Herb Burns, and get all of his books. A good website for folks to check you out, and I would encourage you to order them all. Everyone has five, six family members. Get all six and give to one each one, right? You should mention that. Sybil, who called, she bought eight books.

I'll give a shameless plug to that too. Okay. It's called, The Towers in a World You Could Not Imagine. And it's about technology, a prophetic prediction of what's going to happen in the future with technology. So, just imagine, if you're going to drive from one state to another state, you've got to have a travel passport.

If you don't have it, the G5 towers shut your car down. Imagine the Mississippi River being the new border in the nation. Imagine the state of Florida, the peninsula being cut in half, and we now have the island of Miami. Those are just some things that are prophetic in the future that's being caused by the earth shaking. Just look at what's going on in Thailand right now. So, in the book, when we have the earth shaking, some islands disappear, some new islands appear.

Our country is transformed by the earth shaking. I love it. Herb Burns, what a blessed time to hang out with you.
