Todd Starnes.
Well, ladies and gentlemen, history is in the making and it has nothing to do with what's happening in Washington, D.C. Hello, everybody. Welcome to the Todd Starnes Radio Show. Was yesterday not just a wonderful day? You know, I was home last night, and I was watching our president and our beautiful first lady, such elegance, such poise, such class.
And I was watching them as I made myself a wonderful, delicious, frosty Baptist martini. and I'm sitting there with some Orville Redenbacher and Trump is dancing on the stage, wielding a saber as YMCA was playing at the commander-in-chief ball. And the president, the first lady having the time of their lives, she was laughing, having a great time. The vice president was there and his lovely wife Usha. And I'm thinking to myself, man, we are a blessed nation.
It's just going to be a lot of fun. We're going to get to all of that in just a moment. But can we just have a conversation about what's happening right now down in Cajun country in Louisiana? Folks, if you're into thoughts and prayers, your thoughts and prayers need to be with the good people in Lafayette and New Orleans. There is history in the making.
They are under a blizzard warning right now across much of Cajun country. This is from Houston all the way to New Orleans. and somebody sent me some photographs one of our k-r-o-f listeners sent me some some video of the snowstorm they have never had snow like this in louisiana before so uh i hope you guys are doing okay in k-r-o-f land uh give us a call and let us know if you need like they don't even have any snow plows right they have they have nothing i'm not even sure if they have mittens or scarves. It's because it's always warm down there.
So anyway, hang in there, folks, and I hope you're staying home, and if you are, you're listening to the radio today. Again, our telephone number, if you would like to call in today, 901-260-5926. That's 901-260-5926.
So last night, just a couple of observations here, and I'm curious to hear your thoughts on how President Trump is doing so far, because on the first day in the Oval Office, Donald J. Trump has done more than Joe Biden did for the entire length of his presidency. I've never seen anything quite like this.
So yesterday, the president, after a full day of pomp and pageantry, you had the inauguration, you had the inaugural parades, you had the luncheons and the prayers. Trump, instead of going and catching a few hours nap before heading off to the balls, goes right to the Oval Office and he starts signing all of these executive orders. I mean, and then he brings the press in. You know, if you remember, Joe Biden hated the media, hated the media. And they didn't want the media anywhere around him.
As a matter of fact, they would be asking Joe Biden a question. And Joe Biden would be like, get out, get out, get out of here. Move your butt, lard butt. Get out of here. That's what they would do.
And the press, I don't know if it was like battered spouse syndrome, because, you know, they're all Democrats. But for whatever reason, the press would never call him out on it. I never understood. And it could be something as simple as, you know, if you're an abusive relationship, you know, sometimes you just make excuses.
Well, he didn't mean it. He was just having a bad day. I forgot to put the stuff in his porridge. But he still loves us. He still loves us.
Got to do something about that eye, Anderson Cooper.
So anyway, all that's going on.
So Trump's not like that. And this is what's mind-boggling is that the media, Trump says, bring them on in. Trump sat there. Did you see this? It was remarkable.
He didn't miss a stride at all, didn't miss a beat. He's signing the executive orders, and he's taking Q&A from the press, and he's giving very detailed answers about all sorts of things. He did this for almost a full hour, ladies and gentlemen. It was remarkable. And then at one point, somebody asked him about the drones in new jersey which is a great question right so because everybody's been wondering about those blasted drones so trump just hauls off to suzy wiles who's the chief of staff and she's running the show there and nobody messes with suzy uh even trump and trump hollers over to suzy uh here's how that went down but is it anything he's drunk no i think it's i think Yes, sir.
I would like to find out what it is and tell the people. And can you make it to some kind of... In fact, I'd like to do that. Could we find out what that was, Susie?
Okay. Yeah, why don't we find out immediately? I mean, I can't imagine it's an enemy or there would have been, you know, people would have gotten blown up all of them. Maybe they were testing things. I don't know why they wouldn't have said what it was.
They had a lot of them flying over to Bedminster, which is interesting, right? That's true. It's true.
So anyway, Trump's answering all the questions. He's signing the executive orders and just doing a terrific job. But again, ladies and gentlemen, we are in for a true golden era in American history, and it is going to be fast and furious. We're expecting sometime today for the mass deportations to commence. A lot of people have already been self-deporting, and yesterday you had this situation at the border and just be prepared for this just be prepared for it but the media is going to be seeking out um all of these folks who have like families and children and they're gonna they're gonna create this narrative that trump is separating the families yesterday the media just happened to be at the border when some little mexican peasant woman showed up and she wasn't allowed to cross the border into America.
And she was, she was very, very upset. Oh, woe is me, Mr. Presidente. Muy, muy, please. I'm just a poor peasant.
I'm a poor peasant woman from Mexico. I just come to clean your house, senor. Please, let me in. And they just happen to be there for all of that.
So just expect more of that is what I'm trying to tell you. I mean, it's a heartbreaking story. I hate it for the lady. But, you know, you should have called ahead, right? I mean, how do you like it when you're about to sit down for family dinner, somebody knocks on the door and asks if they can come in and eat with you?
Well, I wish you would have called earlier. We would have fixed you a plate.
So you got to follow the rules. The border is closed, folks. The border is closed.
So we're going to get to your calls as well. our telephone number by the way 901-260-5926 that's 901-260-5926 the media has completely lost their minds over this uh let's go to steven of moorhead city north carolina i'm curious steven i understand you want to talk about the ymca dance controversy yes i do um i found it amusing that and it was a wonderful day yesterday but I think the point of that dance unlike what Doug Raymond had to say this morning he was not at all um you know that was not inappropriate I think that he was showing that look I'm not coming after you because you don't agree with me I'm simply saying we disagree however um I'm all inclusive as long as you're an American citizen a citizen legal citizen and you pay taxes to the best of your ability, then I've got no beef with you. I think that's exactly what he's trying to say. And so he did that to show that, look, I'm not coming after you. And when even people such as Dick Durbin can say horrible things just a day or so before and then turn right back around and say, I think there's room to work.
Now, when's the last time And you've heard any of the Democrats, or for that matter, any of the ultra-right or ultra-left say, I think we might have room to work. And that's because of Donald Trump.
Well, it's a fair point. I mean, go back to Ronald Reagan's presidency, and he and Tip O'Neill were actually good pals off the clock. They fought like cats and dogs during business hours, but they did try to find some common ground on some things. My only caution for the White House would be that we didn't send you there to compromise. We sent you there to accomplish a specific task.
You have a mandate. Let's make sure we deliver on the mandate. Agree.
So what's the controversy with YMCA? I didn't realize there was one. Yeah, apparently a lot of people mistook, I think, what he was doing. and deemed it to be inappropriate. And I didn't get it that way.
It was a celebration. I mean, he was dancing. Everybody was having a good time. There was no deriding. He didn't come out and say, I'm coming to get you, and now I have this.
You know, which he does. He clearly has a mandate. I mean, that's what I'm saying. Democrats and Republicans, independents, you know that everybody found something about the guy. that hit a common core.
Okay. Well, look, yeah, I get that. I just, again, I think YMCA, I wouldn't read too much into the singing of YMCA. It's just a fun song. People like to dance along.
The great irony here, and I know that Trump called it the gay national anthem, but the YMCA songwriter said there's nothing gay about YMCA.
Okay. But anyway, regardless, they're out there saying, Trump is anti-gay. He hates the gay man. Hates the gay man. He hasn't been to a single Broadway show.
Okay, well, look, if in fact that is, let's take that argument for this moment, and Stephen, thank you for the call. Let's take that argument for just a second. Are you kidding me? What are you smoking? As a matter of fact, Trump has put a number of gay people into his cabinet, many of them Fox News people.
he's uh he's out there dancing just the other day with a guy in leather champs for crying out loud so i find that very humorous that people would try to make that sort of an argument all right we've got to take a break a lot going on here folks but we are going to be taking your calls today what do you think of the presidency we are one full day in a lot is happening out there 901 901-260-5926. That's 901-260-5926.
This is the Todd Stern Show. Folks, let me tell you about gold. Last year, it hit 39 record highs, surged 27%.
Now experts like JP Morgan are calling it the number one commodity for 2025. Bank of America predicting it could soon hit $3,000 an ounce. And so why is that?
Well, inflation, unrelenting markets are teetering. The central banks are hoarding gold at record levels.
So it's not just some sort of a shiny, pretty little metal. It is really the ultimate shield against inflation, market chaos, and the shaky dollar. That's why I want you to head over to my friends at Priority Gold right now. They want to give you a free wealth preservation guide. You can do that by texting Todd to 24999 or go to PriorityGold.com.
That's Todd, text Todd to 24999 or visit PriorityGold.com and get your free wealth preservation guide. Do it right now, folks. We'll be right back. Sir, the next item, as you announced in your speech, is a requirement that federal workers return to full-time in-person work immediately. Wow.
So not only did he sign the executive orders in the Oval Office, but he also did sign these at a desk that was positioned inside the Capital One Arena yesterday during the big inaugural parade.
Well done. And can you imagine this, ladies and gentlemen, just imagine this. for years now these government buildings that you and i have been paying for have been empty because all the government workers are staying at home allegedly working from home all right let's go to the phone lines here sunny and ocala florida listening to us on the great w o c a hi sunny what's on your mind oh hi uh todd i honestly believe that a lot of these executive of orders that trump signed in to affect yesterday should be looked at by our congress and made into the law so that they can't be canceled by the next democrat president that shows up uh to me if they're law that's it you it's not hard to overturn a law Now, Sonny, you're raising a fair point.
Now, right now, I would consider what Trump is doing to be like a MASH unit. Remember the old TV show MASH where you had these, you're in the fight, you're in the war, and you've got these little emergency, you have the doctors and everybody, the MASH units, and they're just making sure you don't keel over. They're getting you patched up so they can fly you off to the hospital. to your point i think what's happening right now is trump's issuing all of these executive orders to stop the bleeding of the country and and sonny you're absolutely right that we need to be making sure that a lot of these these actions are turned into law so that god forbid a democrat gets elected again they come in and reverse everything that trump just did well that's what i'm getting at The one that he signed into law that we're going to go after our natural resources. He opened up ONWA.
First thing Biden did was cancel the Keystone pipeline. We need that pipeline. Canada needs that pipeline. And that would make Canada and the United States closer by us taking that pipeline from the oil reserves. Canada has in Alberta and taking them south to our refinery.
I understand there was supposed to be a refinery built somewhere near St. Louis off the Mississippi River. I don't think that ever happened. I mean, we got to turn a lot of these executive orders into law. And we will, Sonny.
Trust me on this. We will. And I hear you. I understand. I was thinking about that last night, actually, as I was watching the president signing, and I'm enjoying my refreshing glass of, well, Baptist martini.
For you Lutherans out there in Iowa, that's a Diet Coke with a wedge of lemon. But Sonny, I hear you, but right now, celebrate.
Sonny, just celebrate and be excited for the victories that we are achieving right now. And yes, they are short-term, but that's what we need, and that's what the president can do, and he's doing it.
Sonny, good hearing from you, my friend. Let's go to Memphis, Tennessee. Elliott is on the line, listening to us on our great flagship station, KWAM. Elliott, what say you? Hey, good morning, Todd.
Hope you're doing well. I woke up this morning in probably the best mood I have in four years and feeling very unburdened by what has been. And I will do have one comment, and I'll get off of here. I want to hear your comments on it. But I am worried about Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos and Zuckerberg and the TikTok guys being a little too close to Trump.
And I mean, I understand they're looking out for themselves and he's looking out for, you know, obviously him. But that's the only caution I have right now. I trust Trump to get us back on the map and where we need to go in the direction. But that does cautious me a little bit with those, as Biden would call them, oligarchs, being a little too close to the Oval Office.
So I'm going to get off of here. Appreciate you and look forward to hearing your response.
Well, Elliot, thank you for calling in. And look, this is a legitimate concern, and I think there are many who share those concerns. I'm not too sure that Mark Zuckerberg has learned his lessons. I don't think he's turned or he's changed his colors. By the way, what's up with the perm?
Is he is he is Zuckerberg growing a power fro? Is that what's going on here?
So anyway, you got Zuckerberg. You got Bezos. Oh, by the way, Ben Dieter was talking about this yesterday on the show. We were talking about Bezos's wife, who, by the way, according to Megan Kelly, this is Megan Kelly's quote that she looked like a hooker. talker.
That's Megyn Kelly. I just, I mean, I would prefer something more tame like a sidewalk Sally, but she was certainly dressed inappropriately. That was the big talk on Megyn Kelly's show yesterday. But Bezos and his wife, who was wearing white lingerie to the inauguration, they were there. And as Elliot pointed out, these oligarchs from the tech world, I think we have to keep our eye on them.
I'm not saying that, you know, that they haven't changed their ways, but maybe they have.
So trust but verify. That's what I say. All right. Hang tight. We're going to the phones.
901-260-5926. Coming up, Franklin Graham's going to be here. Jeffrey Lord, Congressman John Rose, too. We got a lot going on. The story of MyPillow is a testament to faith and transformation.

Don't miss out. Order today. all right welcome back everybody oh by the way cbs's gail king that's oprah's special friend um gail king is very upset over yesterday and uh here's what she had to say about the inauguration cut two i have to say i'm looking at this card i do not see many people of color Has anybody else besides me observed that? I'm fascinated by why that is On Martin Luther King Jr. Day The most notable and one of the most high-ranking Is Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson First black woman to serve on the U.S.
Supreme Court Notably appointed by Joe Biden As he wanted to follow in the footsteps of Jimmy Carter In appointing a number of women and black women To the federal judgeships well well the black folk anybody see the black folk that that's gail king it's a what what so i look uh i i know that they love making this all about race first of all most of the people in that room were members of congress that's they reserved that for members of congress and their spouses um so when you look at the when you look at the crowd it's a predominantly white group because most of Congress is white.
However, there was a black preacher who delivered the benediction who was rip-roaring. By the way, Vice President J.D. Vance's wife, Usha, is also a woman of color. And on top of that, at the inaugural parade, there was the Mississippi Valley State University Marching Band. That's an HBCU school, and President Trump gave him a standing ovation.
So I don't know what the problem is. Maybe Gayle King, maybe she's got a vision problem. There are plenty of black folk there, Gayle. But I would say this, you want to talk about diversity, I don't see a lot of it on these cable channels these days. I'm just saying.
All right, let's go to Mike in Memphis, Tennessee. Once taking issue with something Sonny had to say earlier. earlier hi mike what's going on hey greetings todd yeah i would just encourage sonny to just do a little bit of google research and you're going to find that there was actually a chinese company petro china that bought into these oil it was tar sands okay it's not oil it's tar sands it's tar it's thick and it scours the pipes and that's why nobody in this country whose county it was run through wanted it because they leak like a sieve at every well joint they leak it's an ongoing nightmare for pollution and the reality is do a little research you'll find that every drop of that oil refined in this country is exported to china and great britain it's not coming here and and that's a fair point not one drop comes well yes and uh up there in british columbia right there at the port of aransas pass i believe north of uh in Oklahoma, Washington, there is a refinery where they do refine some of that into gasoline, and then they ship it to Japan. But otherwise, it all goes to Japan. It's internationally purchased, and the money flows through those companies.
We get pennies per barrel, and we go buy it at dollars per gallon.
So it's not a good thing. They could have run the pipeline straight across Canada, but they didn't because they didn't want the economic impact on the environment. They don't want to destroy the water.
So bring it here and destroy the water around those places and see what you get. Mike, I'm curious to hear your take on President Trump. Were you excited about yesterday? Are you happy with the direction President Trump is going thus far? I am.
I think there's, you know, the issue about the handling of the Bible and stuff, and, you know, look at the video again when Carrie Underwood was singing, and directly behind her was Joe Biden, and look at what he's doing. Is he looking around? No, he's looking straight down. I don't know what he's looking at behind her, but it's telling. It's a change of administration for the better.
I hope that he will do the things he's promised, remind him. I know you can. This is all what the people's mandates are. It's not his. It's the people's.
And I think he's going to do it. And I'm proud that he did an excellent job yesterday in transitioning power. I thought it really was. And I know that the media is attacking Trump for the speech and the tone and the tenor. I thought it was spot on.
And when you actually go back and read the speech, it is incredibly inspirational. and the reality is i think the new york times called it grim well the reason why it was grim is because trump was painting a portrait of what this country became under biden's rule and it is a very dark america joe biden promised to usher in a dark winter into this country when he got elected and he delivered on that promise so trump was trying to show people this is what has happened and this is where we are going. And, Mike, I've got to tell you something. For Donald Trump to call out Joe Biden and Kamala Harris while they're sitting there squirming in their seats, it was one of the most fascinating things I've ever seen in American politics.
Well, definitely Donald Trump is not afraid to call people out live. And, you know, right there, that was the time to do it. And, of course, later he even expanded more, and he talked about the rigging of the elections. We've got to get a hold of these elections. Yes, we do.
All across the country, there are elections that are being rigged, and innocent people whose lives have been turned upside down, there's a lot of political prisoners, and I'm hopeful that he will address those issues case by case, as he mentioned. And I'm hoping that there will be accountability. They're without accountability against the deep state actors who've committed these crimes. There's no justice. And without justice, there is no nation.
So, Mike, you're absolutely right there. And thank you for that call. You know, I want to go back to the pardons for just a moment here. And there's been a lot of anger directed at the White House because Trump pardoned the J6 political prisoners. And I chose my language very carefully because when you look at what these individuals did, what they're accused of doing.
Most of them were invited into the building. Those people had no business being charged with any crime.
Now, if you're fighting with a police officer, you deserve jail time. I don't care how it goes down. You deserve jail time if you're fighting with a cop. You steal something from the Capitol building, you've got to pay for that because that's a crime. But when you step back and you look at all of the prison sentences, These people have already done the time and then some.
So for you to – and the left is going to say, well, these people, they were never punished for their crimes. Really? They've been languishing in a gulag for the past four years. Many of them have – some of them haven't even seen trial yet. They're still behind bars.
They've lost their jobs. They've lost their homes. They've lost their livelihoods. They've lost their good names. You're telling me these people haven't sacrificed anything?
As a matter of fact, and Trump pointed this out yesterday, many of these people are serving a harder time than some murderers. But they're all upset about this because Trump is handing out the pardons to people who are literally political prisoners.
Meanwhile, what is the press not talking about? Here's what the press is not talking about. The press is not talking about the fact that Joe Biden pardoned two cop killers. two men who gunned down a 29 year old police officer in virginia he granted them clemency you want to know you want to know what else the the media is not talking about they not talking about the fact that Joe Biden actually pardoned someone who killed an FBI agent They not talking about that And I want to know, and we all know early wasn't Joe Biden.
Okay, go with me here. But I want to know who was behind all of that. Which communist sympathizer was signing off and telling Joe Biden, sign your name here? And Biden may not even be aware that he signed it. I mean, they may have just grabbed his hand, put a pen in there, and just kind of scribbled on the paper.
But I'm telling you right here and right now, ladies and gentlemen, what Joe Biden is doing is insane. It's insane. Granting pardons to his family? What crimes did they commit? That's what I want to know.
That's what we ought to be asking here. All right, 901-260-5926. Let's go to Jerry in Iowa. up hi jerry what's on your mind today and brother todd let us praise god and thank god for our deliverance hallelujah has answered our prayers amen i am you know what to your point and what last caller said the uh i'm wondering about joe joe's last minute pardons and if there's some sort of connection to uh what's i'm hearing there's destruction of evidence i i imagine And the Allies moving in on Berlin and the Nazis frantically shredding papers and burning items. And so the J6ers, like how many are there?
Is there any documentation that's still around about FBI agents in the crowd? The shell companies. What about that? Have you heard anything about destruction of evidence? Hillary is known to have smashed phones.
I mean, this is in the character of the Democratic left. And I'm all for justice and not vengeance. And we've really got to know the difference. We've got to make sure this does not happen again. But, I mean, did they have little burn piles in the backyard of the FBI or what?
Jerry, these are all fair questions to ask. And, again, I would like to think that the administration is going to be able to get their hands on all of that before the deep staters destroy evidence. But the fact is, there is going to be some of that evidence that's going to be destroyed. And you mentioned Hillary Clinton, the bleach bit. Yeah, I mean, that's going to happen.
But I think there's going to be enough evidence accumulated that we are going to be able to hold people accountable. And you're right. This is about justice. That's what this is all about. It's about getting justice.
When you go back to J6, it looks to me just like the alleged kidnapping of the governor of Michigan, that it was an FBI operation from start to finish. This was a deep state operation, and I think that's exactly what happened on J6. Maybe it got out of hand. I don't think so. I think whatever happened, they wanted to have happen because they wanted to destroy Donald Trump, and it didn't work out.
Jerry, I got to run. Thank you for that call. 901-260-5926. That's 901-260-5926.
This is the Todd Stern Show. We now take you behind the scenes at the Biden White House. Early this morning, Joe heard a noise. who's waking me up what the heck's going on out there Trump Trump's already had it Kamala's drunk again how drunk can she get oh gosh Kamala I wish she'd sober up Jimmy? Jimmy Carter?
Didn't we just bury you? Why, yes you did. But not my legacy. That's why I'm finishing up on this. A casket?
But I thought I was going to Happy Times retirement. Oh, yes, you are. This box is for later today, when your record of the worst presidency ever will allow me to bury mine. Oh, it's chilly out here. Yes, Ron Reagan said it would be a cold day before I could ever get rid of my record.
But I want to thank you for making America great for me. You're not worried about the kukla friend and oligarchs? Oh, that? That's just an old ghost story.
Well, I gotta run. Saw a couple of shingles loose on the west wing, and then it's off to Gaza. Gerald Ford said I had a few repairs to do over there. Not really sure what he's talking about. Anyhow, see you later.
Oh, and tell Hunter, my brother Billy really thanks him too. I will. I will, Jimmy. Join us next time our hidden microphones take you behind the scenes. Come back.
Come back. Oh, hell no. Don't come back. Oh, this is going to be a terrible day. harmony today all right welcome back everybody let's go to the patriot mobile newsmaker line our good friend the owner of wpmo in pascagoula mississippi noah brit joining us no i understand you guys are getting pounded by a snowstorm right now is that right well i don't know what to do right now i'm on the gulf coast there's white stuff falling from the sky armageddon has officially begun everybody take cover it's insane i'm looking at all of these images uh people are literally snow skiing in houston texas right now lafayette louisiana was under a blizzard warning.
What's the situation like there in South Mississippi?
Well, Lafayette has eight inches of snow right now, Todd. Rain, and I wanted to make sure I pronounced that right. It is actually rain, R-A-Y-N-E, 10 1⁄2 inches of snow already. We expect it to get 14 inches of snow before the day is over with. Biloxi and Pascagoula, both where I am, have already received five inches of snow, and more is coming.
They've shut the interstate down. It's too dangerous right now because, Todd, We don't know how to drive this stuff.
So you've got the bridges that are closed. We have had several wrecks already on I-10, and it's just coming down.
So the authorities where I live are urging everybody to just stay home. We're not prepared for stuff like this. We don't have the salt trucks you have up north and places like that that salt down the road. This is a rare occurrence. Just to tell you how the weather normally is here, and you know, Todd, every seven years or so, the snow will make its way past Hattiesburg.
And we're a good hour and 15 minutes or so south of Hattiesburg where we are right now. When I was a boy, seven years old, I rode my bike to Kmart Christmas Eve. It was 87 degrees. But we're not used to this frozen tundra condition. Wow.
You've met my lovely bride before. I married one of those Yankee women. She tells me I'm forbidden to say it's pouring down snow.
So it's very heavy snow here in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, and Mobile, Alabama. This is really remarkable. the last time for example Houston Texas had I think three inches of snow was back in 1940 now New Orleans 1963 they had 2.7 inches of snow that fell in in New Orleans and this is so so to your point you guys just aren't used to having snow on the beach we're not and I've actually seen pictures of 1963, the last 24 hours everybody's posting around the beautiful Deluxe Lighthouse when they got three inches of snow, and also in Gulfport when they actually had four inches of snow that same year.
So it's been a good solid 60 years since we've had this kind of condition. But, Todd, it's going to continue, so we just want to urge everybody to use caution. Don't travel here if you're not planning to already. Tallahassee, Florida, on a blizzard alert, seven inches of snow expected over the next 24 hours in Tallahassee.
So it's going to keep snowing here in the deep south for quite some time. This is really historic, and you're right. Everybody stay inside, listen to the radio, and don't get out. But you know people are still going to get out, though. Of course.
Everybody wants to see it. Especially what will happen in the South. You'll get guys with the pickup trucks out there, and they're going to tie the big sleds and stuff. People are going to have a good time down there. It's going to be great.
It feels like Christmas now. Christmas is supposed to be. Like I said before, it never gets this cold here. We're enjoying it. Everybody stay inside and be safe.
A blizzard in the redneck Riviera. Who would have thunk it? Noah Britt, we got to leave it there, my friend. Be safe. Good hearing from you.
Absolutely. And tell our friend Janice in New Orleans to bundle up. Oh, I forgot about Miss Janice. Thank you for that, Noah. We'll need to do a checkup on Miss Janice.
Maybe she's out making a snowman in the backyard. All right. Hang tight, everybody. Franklin Graham coming up, plus your calls as well. 901-260-5926.

So there is a massive controversy unfolding inside the National Cathedral. President Trump is there for what's supposed to be a national prayer service. And instead, a woke reverend, a female preacher, is up there in the pulpit. And I want you to hear, and we're going to get Franklin Graham to weigh in on this, I want you to hear what this woman said directly to President Trump from the pulpit. I ask you to have mercy upon the people in our country who are scared now.
There are gay, lesbian, and transgender children in Democratic, Republican, and independent families.
Some who fear for their lives. And the people. the people who pick our crops and clean our office buildings, who labor in poultry farms and meat packing plants, who wash the dishes after we eat in restaurants and work the night shifts in hospitals, they may not be citizens or have the proper documentation. But the vast majority of immigrants are not criminals. They pay taxes and are good neighbors.
They are faithful members of our churches and mosques, synagogues, Wadara, and temples. I ask you to have mercy, Mr. President, on those in our communities whose children fear that their parents will be taken away. And that you help those who are fleeing war zones and persecution in their own lands to find compassion and welcome here. All right.
Yeah, you kind of get the gist of where all this is going. Wow.
So inappropriate for a house of worship. I want to go to the Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line, our good friend, the president of Samaritan's Purse, and just an incredible man of God, Franklin Graham, joins us. Franklin, first of all, an honor to have you with us today.
Well, thank you for having me. And Franklin, you just heard a little bit of this message being delivered directly to presidents. I mean, that's embarrassing. You've got the president of the United States there, and to lecture him like that from the pulpit.
Well, this whole National Cathedral has been run for the last number of years by people I would call gay activists. and it's unfortunate that our National Cathedral has fallen into their hands. And so I was just surprised that the president even went down there. They should avoid that place at all costs because they don't represent the churches of America. And, you know, listen, this whole thing comes down to illegal immigration.
Not legal immigration, but illegal immigration. And so I think you have to just keep coming back and reminding people that these people who are here illegally have broken U.S. law. You can't get into the Vatican. You know, the Pope makes a big deal of standing up for illegal immigrants.
But you go down to the Vatican in Rome and you crawl over the wall to see what happens to you.
So it's okay for America to have to take illegal immigrants, but no other country in the world does. I mean, you juxtapose what that was to what happened yesterday where you had such inspirational messages. The prayers were powerful, delivered by the pastors and the rabbis, and of course you were there as well, Franklin. And for you, you're on the national stage. You've been asked to deliver a prayer.
How do you prepare for something like that?
Well, you pray. and that's how you prepare you pray pray that God gives you the right verses the right words and you pray some more and you think about it and you meditate on that and then you make some changes and pray again and ask God for wisdom because you want every word to be right you want to lift up Jesus Christ you want to honor God and at the same time calling on God to help the president and the vice president and their families. I was really struck by something President Trump said yesterday in his address, and he brought us back to Butler County, Pennsylvania, and he said matter-of-factly that I was saved by God to make America great again. What was your reaction when you heard the president say that yesterday?
Well, he said it was God that saved his life. Yeah. And he believes it's for a reason. And I agree with him. And if we make America great again and we just continue to sin and turn our backs on God, it's not going to work.
And the only way America will ever be great again is if we follow God and not turn our backs on him, but to obey his, you know, to repent of our sins and confess them, turn from them. And that's the only way that America can ever be great again.
So I would hope that the president will always remember that it was God that saved his life. Amen. You know, Franklin, we looked at what's happening in the country, and I know Samaritan's Purse, you guys have just been incredible, doing some incredible work, not only in western North Carolina, but also in southern California. How are those efforts going, those relief efforts going?
Well, first of all, here in North Carolina, it's difficult because there's so much destruction, so much loss of property. but you just can't go back and rebuild. There are permits that have to be obtained. You have to get surveys again. The floodplain changes.
And then you have to wait for the federal government. Then you have to wait for the local government. And some of these local governments don't meet except once a month. And it's just so, so difficult to get things done in a quick way.
So you have to be patient, realizing that this is a process that can take maybe three years or more. California, it's going to be the worst out there because you're dealing with such a, I don't know what to call them. You talk about craziness. the local mayors and people like that that you've got to deal with out there is just going to be very frustrating for people. But it will take time, and it will come back.
So I just pray for those that have lost everything, that we'll be able to help them and love them and share with them the hope that we have in Jesus Christ. And again, we've been directing people to Samaritan's Purse, and folks can not only make donations, but I'm sure there are ways that people want to volunteer and help in those efforts. I have to imagine there are those opportunities as well. We're going to need an army of volunteers in California. Yeah.
Probably later this week before we can actually put people on the ground. Right now, they're still trying to make sure there's no hot wires on the ground and that the gas in each house has been turned off. and on every street that those guests is not on.
So it's been a real process. Plus, they're still looking for bodies. But I think that by the end of this week, we should get the all clear, and homeowners will be able to go back in, and Samaritan's Purse will be allowed to go in and assist those that want our help. All right. Well, Franklin, I know you're super busy today, but we really appreciate you coming on.
You delivered an incredible prayer yesterday. It was so encouraging and inspirational. And the pastor from Detroit, you know who I felt really bad for, Franklin, was the poor rabbi who had to deliver his prayer after that guy's prayer. He brought down that. Yeah, Lorenzo's got a lot of energy.
He had some Red Bull on the Froot Loops, that's for sure. All right, Franklin Graham, always good having you on the show. Thank you again. Thank you, Ben. All right, there you go.
Franklin Graham from Samaritan's Purse. Yeah, that was tough. That was a great prayer that Lorenzo delivered there. He's the pastor from Detroit, Michigan. And then the poor, quiet little rabbi had to come up afterwards.
And, whew, sweet mercy. All right, got to take a break here, folks. 901-260-5926. Before we do, the poor Clayton's been holding on for a while. Let's sneak in Clayton here from Gainesville, Georgia, WDUN.
Hi, Clayton, what's on your mind? I've been listening to you ever since you've been on, but I have never called in. But I've got something people to think about. As a fellow Christian, you may have to help me deliver this message here. But what I've got is we all believe that God makes the crow of the nations.
He makes them rise and he makes them fall. That's true. Well, we all wanted Trump to be president in 2020. I prayed thy will be done that's the way I ended all my prayers well if he had got to be president in 2020 he wouldn't have got to get a hold of this nation in the foulest shape it's ever been he had to wait till Biden could get it in the shape it's in before he could get enough votes and enough people following and to see what kind of shape our country's in so I give God the credit for not letting him get voted in in 2020. And I give him God the credit for letting him get voted in now.
And I pray for his protection because I'm concerned that so many people that just can't see and understand that Trump is trying to do God's will. And I believe that. I believe God has protected him this far. People ask me, do you think Trump will ever live long enough to be president? I said, of course he will.
He doesn't tried to kill him twice and god protected him so god is protecting let's keep an oil in our prayers and not be ill about him losing the election i i think that's uh that's a terrific word and i'm with you i look i'm not a theologian so i don't want to get into the you know the nuts and bolts here but i do believe that god has a plan for us all and i think god even has a plan for the United States of America. And I don't know what that plan is, but when you look at what Donald Trump has been through, there's no way this guy should be president of the United States. There's no way that he should be alive right now, but he is alive and he is the president. And that to me is a great miracle. And so I'm very anxious to see, and all of this really, it's not about Donald Trump.
It's about the American people and the American people deciding we are going to turn from wickedness. I think that's the key, is that we turn from wickedness. And you say, well, Donald Trump's not a perfect man. No, he's not. Neither are you.
I'm not a perfect person. Nobody is. But God uses imperfect people to accomplish his plan. And I think that's what we are about to see. That doesn't mean we've got to sit back in the lazy boy and just watch.
We've got to do. The problem with America is you got a lot of you got a lot of people out there. And unfortunately, a lot of them are Republicans and they don't want to do. They just want they want to watch.
So we got to get away from that. All right, Clayton, thank you for that great call. Welcome to the show. Appreciate that. 901-260-5926.
This is the Todd Stern Show. Hi, everyone. If you've been injured in an accident that was not your fault, listen up. We have legal professionals standing by to answer your questions for free. Call now and find out if you have a case and how much it's potentially worth.
Call 800-702-5400. I'm here with spokesman John Wolfe.
So, John, tell everyone listening who should call right now.
Well, Maria, first off, thank you for having me here. It's always nice to answer the listener's questions.
Now, as far as who should call in, anyone who's been injured in an accident and think you deserve compensation, give us a call right now. 800-702-5400. You'll find out if you have a case and how much it's potentially worth. Thanks, John. You heard it, folks.
Take advantage of this opportunity and call now. 800-702-5400. Advertisement sponsored by Legal Help Center may not be available in all states. All right, so Ramaswamy is officially gone. He's out, will not be a part of Doge.
The rumblings are that he may or may not run for governor, but that's not why he's out. apparently there was some bad blood there. And it doesn't really matter because the only person that matters is Donald J. Trump. Period.
That's it.
So if you get in the way of the Trump agenda, if you try to make it about yourself, if you can't control your ego, and I'm not saying that Vivek had an ego problem, I'm saying it doesn't matter who you are, you are not bigger than the America First movement and the leader of that movement, who is Donald J. Trump. and that would be some advice i would share with anybody that currently works for or is planning to work for the administration you you've got it you've got to understand that trump is the man period so anyway here's cnn yesterday and they just you would think they would learn their lesson because how many times have they been sued over this kind of nonsense uh this is cnn now suggesting Elon Musk made a Nazi salute yesterday. Cut number nine. I just want to look at that salute that he gave again.
Just if anybody missed it, we'll just show it again. He's just wrapped up here. You can hear the... All right, so we just showed that. We just showed that.
Right. It was quick. I think our viewers are smart, and they can take a look at that. But it certainly was... It's not something that you typically see at American political rallies.
Put it that way. No, no, it was not something that you usually would see. And it was quick, as you point out. It was very quick, but it was in a moment of intensity for him as he came out dancing, and then he did that. He is a hero here.
And I just want to say thank you for making it happen. Thank you. My heart goes out to you. it is thanks to you that the future of civilization is assured all right so i mean you know he put his hand on his heart uh and you could hear him do the thump and then he put the hand up in the air i i don't i mean even the anti-defamation league said this was not a nazi salute so what in the world is cnn talking about here look uh they're going to be going they're going to be going overboard trying to convince you that Trump and the entire administration are Nazis and that Trump is a dictator. May I just say this, and I mean this with great, deep respect for Donald J.
Trump. He's got to be the worst. If he is really a dictator, he's got to be the worst dictator out there. Because what Trump did yesterday, he's re-instituting free speech. In America, does a dictator do that?
He's freeing political prisoners from jail? Does a dictator do that? No, I don't think so.
So anyway, Scott Jennings had to sit down yesterday, and we'll get to more of this after the break. But Scott Jennings over at CNN, man, that guy's got a job on his hands. But he's having to explain to everybody why America is so excited. And when you look at the numbers, everybody's excited. Trump's coming into office with a huge approval rating, and the media can't get it.
They don't understand it. But the reality is that the American people have been oppressed. I mean, you have felt this oppression for four years now. And we had a caller earlier on, and this does make sense, is that maybe we all had to go through hell to understand how great we had it under Donald J. Trump.
And I think there's something to that. 901-260-5926. That's our telephone number. That's 901-260-5926.
Folks, let me tell you about gold. Gee salute. Last year, it hit 39 record highs, surged 27%.
Now experts like JP Morgan are calling it the number one commodity for 2025 Bank of America predicting it could soon hit an ounce And so why is that Well inflation unrelenting markets are teetering The central banks are hoarding gold at record levels.
That's Todd. Text Todd to 24999 or visit PriorityGold.com and get your free wealth preservation guide. Do it right now, folks. We'll be right back. I don't really like working.
I'm going to need a priority parking space. I only work remotely. How are your safe spaces? Can I bring my dog to work? Will your company protect me against microaggressions?
You're triggering me. Is this interview almost over? You don't run a daycare. You run a business.
So why use high-priced recruitment agencies who charge you up to 40% of an employee's first-year salary?
So they're focused on getting you the costly talent, not the best fit. Which means you get more of this. What's your policy on paying employees to attend protests? I demand eight weeks of vacation. I need at least 12 weeks of paid vacation.
I'm going to need a lot of mental health days. Do you have a game room? My pronouns are Z's and Z's. Isn't it time you hired grown-ups? Call redballoon.org and skip those high-priced recruitment agencies.
Call 833-880-0600 for a free consultation. That's 833-880-0600 for a free consultation. Redballoon.org all right how are you folks on the gulf coast doing i feel bad for you guys you know we get a couple of inches of snow here in memphis tennessee and the whole city shuts down i can't even imagine 10 inches of snow in new orleans holy cow uh not only that uh there's um A big controversy brewing in Memphis, Tennessee. You know, a lot of people are very concerned about their mental well-being now that Trump's been elected. And yesterday you had a situation in San Francisco where people gathered on some sort of a hilltop and they just let out these primordial screams.
It was a little troubling, to be honest with you, a little unsettling. But anyway, they were screaming, I guess, to release their inner demons or whatever.
So anyway, in Memphis, Tennessee, Ben, I understand some religious leaders got together. They had some big concerns. Yeah, so this wasn't incredibly shocking to me as someone who lives in downtown Memphis. This is a church that is incredibly woke. I run past this church.
It's actually called the Church on the River, River being the Mississippi River. Alphabet suit people. Just think they've got the trans flags outside of the church building. They have love is love. God is love.
You've got the whole throne.
So what's a Satan church? It's one of those churches.
Well, they wouldn't say Satan. They would say inclusive churches. All right. God loves everybody. Those people.
So they had about 100 people gather together to listen and process Trump's inauguration speech. And it wasn't just this one church. You had folks from all of the, let's just say, the more woke churches in town that gathered together to, I guess, process this together. And I was listening to the story because the local reporters went to this inauguration watch party. Of course they did.
They probably belonged to the church. When Trump was talking about ripping DEI out of the cornerstone of everything we do in this country. Hallelujah. Oh, no, no. They were mocking.
They were howling. as a matter of fact it just so happened to be MLK Day yesterday and that's obviously a big deal across the country but an even bigger deal in Memphis, Tennessee as that's where MLK was assassinated so they tied the two together basically making the insinuation that Trump was spitting on the legacy of MLK it just went on and on and on so now the follow up to the story is that they are going to be holding a moral mass meeting of all the churches, congregations in town, where they will be giving their prophetic response to what they heard.
So they're going to be doing a lot of prophesying.
So we got some audio on this, right? Yes. All right, cut 21, please.
Some 100 people gathered at the church on the river to hear what the new president of the United States would say in his inaugural speech. America will soon be greater, stronger, and far more exceptional than ever before. Many said motionless as President Donald Trump laid out his plans for office, some even finding parts of the speech humorous. One of the wild west ended slavery rescues. 50 millions of poverty.
And reacting to changes President Trump plans. It's your time for now. We are going to be changing the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America. How do you change that? How do you change it to the Gulf of America and the Gulf of Mexico?
And how are you going to take back the Panama Canal? How is that going to happen? It's just, it's very sickening. The whole speech was sickening. Members of the clergy organize this listening session with a guide instructing people to listen for any signs of division or unity and if moral and spiritual values are uplifted.
As a community of faith, it's important for us to say that we are here, that we love our communities, and we want to continue to protect the human rights of all. And on the day that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is being remembered, leaders say this pilgrimage to Memphis was the right place to be. Dr.
King really laid out an agenda for the nation, and so we thought that there wasn't any better place. We've got to move towards some collaborative action, and for me, we didn't want just another MLK memorial service. We need to see this as a real call to action, and that's what we hope it can be. Oh, Lord. What were they laughing about?
Slavery? The Panama. And the Panama Canal? I guess. I guess that was really funny.
What I thought was so funny is that members of the clergy, I'm not going to name any names of these churches, but let's just say covering news here, these are woke clergy people, the people that you just heard in the National Cathedral, those people. To give the congregation listening guides, instructing people to listen to any signs for division or unity. and if moral spiritual values were uplifted they had to check it on their like what is this the crosswords in the in the paper on sunday it's kind of like bingo yeah if he's divisive you give president trump a demerit blasphemous bingo there you go this is i wish i could say i was shocked by this it is shocking but i'm not terribly surprised i mean these people don't worship God. They worship, I mean, they have been deceived.
Well, you know what I love is these are the same pastors that did souls to the poles. And that was a campaign. A what to a what? A soul to a pole. Is that like a dancing club?
No, the pole. Oh, the pole. Oh, my apologies. Yeah, yeah.
So bringing in the sheaves and bringing them not only to Christ, but to Kamala. That was the thinking. And it's always so interesting because I go to a church where you don't talk about politics at all. It's Banff the Church. Non-denom.
Oh, wow. Non-denom. Surprise. And here you have the clergy of Memphis, Tennessee. Not only will they address politics in the pulpit, they held a healing and a mourning service to get through the president's address yesterday.
That's a pagan pulpit. That's what that is, a pagan pulpit. Just like that chick over at the Sanctuary of Satan, formerly known as national cathedral yeah yeah oh let's get we've got a call here uh let's go to ohio we've got a pastor how pastor howell wants to weigh in on the pastor from memphis hi pastor what's on your mind i'm a baptist pastor and i just want to say those people that so-called church in memphis are totally loony loony tunes uh the bible says that god's the god of righteousness God hates sin, and he can't let sin go unpunished. And these people want to let all hang out. They want to do whatever sins and perversions they want to do and think that God's going to go along with it because God's a God of love.
Well, God is a God of love, but he's also a God of righteousness. And he presented that love to people in the form of his son Jesus, who died on that cross to transfer their sins on himself. And God hates sin. That's why it had to be dealt with like that. And these people are making God unrighteous by saying that God isn't going to punish their perversions and their sin and everything else like that.
So that's the biggest joke. You're right, it's a satanic church. And those people have total disregard for the Bible. Like in Genesis 19, God destroys Sodom and Gomorrah for the sin of sodomy, which is homosexuality. He burned them up to a crisp.
And these people, they want to do even worse than that, you know, live with it all hanging out. And so it's a joke, and I hope nobody ever gets fooled by it. All right. Well, Pastor Hal, do you want to throw out your church? Because I would go to that church.
You need to bring that gospel to Memphis. That's no prosperity gospel. I can tell you that right now. That's for sure. We preach against sin.
We're King James Bible believers, and we're soul winners. And, you know, Jesus came into the world to seek and save that which was lust, not condone their immorality. Pastor, I hope you'll appreciate the humor. there's actually an old Southern Gospel song called If John the Baptist Used the King James Version, It's Good Enough for Me.
Well, the thing is, the manuscripts that you get the King James from come from what they call the Antiochian manuscripts, which goes all the way back to the New Testament days. There's two lines of manuscripts. One was Alexandrian, and one was Alexandrian. And all the modern versions of the Bible They're out there today, come from the corrupt Greek and Roman Catholic manuscripts known as Alexandrian.
So we hold to James. All right, Pastor, got to leave it there, my friend. But thank you for the observation there. And, you know, it's interesting, Ben, because those kinds of churches are all over America. And those are the woke churches that you don't ever hear the IRS going after those congregations.
It's always, you know, our good friends like Pastor Jack Tibbs. That's who they go after. Yeah. You know what got me was? Oh, have we heard any reports yet about the tree huggers, you know, the forest bathing?
No. We haven't heard of anybody, you know, catching poison ivy or anything? No. That would be unfortunate. No.
But these people screaming at the top of their lungs in San Francisco, that's a little off-putting. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, there's one way of healing through this Trump. And here's the thing I'll say about both the tree huggers and Memphians and the congregations here. Brace yourself.
This is four years. Take it easy. Take a breather. You've got to pace yourself. That was only day one.
And you have every woke congregation and every woke clergy, man and women, believe me, there's lots of losing it. they're in for a wild four years. You know what we should do? We should invite Pastor Lorenzo Sewell to come to Memphis. Oh, he doesn't count.
No, but we ought to invite him down. Could you imagine him going, what is that called? The Church of the what? The Pansies? The Church of, it should be the living water, because that's what they should be preaching from the pulpit, but it's not.
It's the Church on the River. You know those three Tennessee lawmakers that got expelled from the state? Yeah, that whole story. Oh, the Tennessee Three. The Tennessee Three.
The guy with the power of throw. That's the pastor. That's who we're dealing with. Oh, Justin, he's a preacher too? And he preaches with a mask on.
So this guy, this is the guy who, when he's around white people, he talks better. He talks more white than most white people. Hello, my name is Justin Pearson. I'm just so happy to be here. And he claims to be like of the hood when, in fact, he went to Bowdoin, which is a very high dollar school in Maine, a private school.
Yes. 40 something thousand dollars a year but then when the cameras come on it's like hello my name is Justin Pearson and um I'm a pastor and then when the cameras come on my brother and my sister we got problems in Memphis yeah and you're like whoa where did that come from yeah it's he goes full-blown Medea well you know tough luck better that's the preacher that's the pastor of this church. Wow.
That's sad. It's sad. You know, they really wanted Kamala to win. And Kamala, you know, she also was a pastor. They were hoping remember Kamala?
Remember her joy cometh in the morning sermon? Oh, Lord. So they were counting on the joy coming in the morning, and unfortunately, it wasn't her. It was President Trump's joy that came in the morning, and they are, well, they're not okay. Jesus.
All right. As we go to break, here's Pastor Lorenzo from yesterday's inauguration ceremony, Cut 20. God, we're asking you not only that. Let freedom ring from Stone Mountain, Georgia. Let freedom ring from Lookout Mountain of Tennessee.
Let freedom ring from every hill and every molehill in Mississippi, from every state, every city, every village, and every hamlet. And when we let freedom ring, we will be able to speed up that day. all of your children, black men and white men, Protestant and Catholic, Jew and Gentile will be able to sing in the meaning of that old Negro spiritual, free at last, free at last. Thank you, God Almighty. We are free at last.
If you believe what the spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. Come on, put your hands together and give your great God great glory. I don't really like working. I'm going to need a priority parking space. I only work remotely.

Maria in Hendersonville, North Carolina. Hi, Maria. What's on your mind today? Good afternoon, Todd. I am calling in about the woke minister that got her, through her sermon, got some digs in at President Trump and closed her message with an appeal to him to remember all the illegals in this country who are now afraid, both them and those of the LGBT community.
And so my response to that is that as those illegals were attacking and murdering both Lakin Riley and Jocelyn Nungere, I'm quite sure they were terrified and feeling a great amount of fear as they were bludgeoned to death by those illegals. And that does nothing to bring about unity in this country. President Trump's mission is to be about the business of governing this country, period. He's not to be welcoming of the criminal element from these foreign countries. Yeah, Maria, I'm with you there.
And again, the whole thing about Trump being anti-gay is just ludicrous. He's hired many of these individuals to serve in his administration. What Trump is concerned about is something we all are is that men who identify as women have no business being in a locker room or a bathroom with your daughters or your granddaughters and it's a it's a pretty common sense thing that we are not in the business of defining gender that's something that god does for us yes all right and the episcopal church is uh in decline their ministers by far the majority are now lesbian, homosexual, and it's just so sad because Episcopal Church has been a large part of my life, and I've not even been able to attend church for the last three years because of this wokeism that has infected the Episcopal Church. It's sad, and you guys had the good old common book of prayer, and I know a lot of folks have gone to the Anglican side now, which seems to be more conservative and Bible-based. but Maria, I feel your pain there.
Thank you for calling in. It's a great word. Let's go to Statesville, North Carolina. Gwendolyn. Hi, Gwendolyn.
What's on your mind today? Hello, Todd. I would just want to thank you so much. I'm legally blind. I'm 87, and the only way I got to hear Trump was through your radio station.
That's all I have, no TV and, you know, none of that because I can't see it.
so I'm giving a big heads up for you, and thank you.
Well, Gwendolyn, that is very kind of you to say. You know, I know a lot of the show hosts took yesterday off, but I felt like, you know, somebody needs to be on the air talking about the president's address and talking about all the things that were happening at the inauguration, so we had a lot of fun yesterday, and I'm glad you were able to listen. Yes, and I want to add one thing, because I did get to listen, But during his speech, I've been getting books on tapes from the library, and I just finished Thomas Jefferson. And he is just the same philosophy as Trump, in my opinion. But one thing Trump said yesterday, that he was going to reenact the Immigration Act of 1796.
I don't think very many people know that that happened during that period.
Well, I'll tell you what, Gwendolyn, we will actually do a deep dive on that later this week. How's that? And we'll talk about it on the radio and let folks know what that's all about. I'd rather hear that than about those crazy people hugging trees. It's disgusting.
Yeah, it is disgusting. and it's not yeah it's it's not good for the azaleas either all right gwen to lynn god bless you and thank you for listening we thank all of our great listeners i'm gonna have a word to say about them in the last hour by the way uh we've got congressman john rose coming up we're gonna get the very latest on those executive orders also jeffrey lord is going to drop by from the american spectator hang tight everybody we'll be right back I don't really like working. I'm going to need a priority parking space. I only work remotely. How are your safe spaces?
Can I bring my dog to work? Will your company protect me against microaggressions? You're triggering me. Is this interview almost over? You don't run a daycare.
You run a business.
So why use high-priced recruitment agencies who charge you up to 40% of an employee's first-year salary so they're focused on getting you the costly talent, not the best fit, which means you get more of this.

Todd Starks.
Well, hello everybody. Welcome to the Todd Stearns Radio Program. Very happy to have you with us. Hope you folks listening to us on the Gulf Coast are doing well.
Somebody just sent me a photograph of the First Baptist Church of Pascagoula, Mississippi. Our good buddy Noah Britt, WPMOR affiliate in Pascagoula. By the way, we haven't heard from anybody in Lafayette. We hope everybody's doing well there. under a blizzard warning.
It's been 50, 60 years before some of these places have seen snowfall, so folks are really struggling down there. But anyway, Noah Brett sent me a photograph, which I posted on Acts, and the First Baptist Church covered in snow, and the message there, day one at the Gulf of America. I love it. It's got a great ring to it. Anyway, a lot of snowfall, so you folks stay off the roads down in Louisiana and Mississippi, and even up into Tallahassee.
Pensacola, you guys are getting snow, too. What a mess. All right, write down our telephone number. You will need this if you plan on calling in this hour of the show, 901-260-5926. I want to go to the Patriot Mobile Newsmaker Line.
Congressman John Rose joins us. He represents Tennessee's 6th Congressional District. Congressman, hope you're doing good today.
Well, good afternoon. Thanks for having me on the Todd Starnes show today. Congressman, I'm curious, did you go to any of the balls, any of the galas, extravaganzas last night? We did not. We had a very full weekend and day yesterday, and so we gave our tickets to constituents from back home in Tennessee, and they had a big time, and so we felt like that was the right thing to do.
We'd had a busy day as it was. I thought it was interesting. President Trump, after, I mean, the guy was up at the crack of dawn going nonstop, and yet he took an hour to answer questions from the media as he was signing those executive orders in the White House, and he didn't miss a beat. it's really incredible my wife and i were commenting on that this morning we know how tired we were and obviously we did not have all the stresses that president trump had on him it's just amazing and such a refreshing change from what the country has been living through for the last four years to have a president who has the vitality and the energy to actually do the job he actually goes up the big boy stairs on air force one you can understand what he's saying He doesn't wander off the stage. It really is quite refreshing, Congressman.
I do want to ask you a question about these executive orders. And we had a caller from Florida early on in the show. And he said the executive orders are great, but the reality is we need to make these things law. Is there scuttlebutt about that on Capitol Hill, about making sure that we're enshrining some of these orders into the law of the land? Absolutely.
And we've actually been planning, you know, we at risk of counting our chickens before they hatched, we started planning for this legislative session and the eventual, the hope that we would eventually control all three branches of government. Obviously, we still have the Senate filibuster to face and to overcome, but your caller is exactly right. We've got to quit getting kind of these whipsaw effects of one administration coming in and sending us in one direction and then the next of a different party coming in. And so Congress has to reclaim its prerogative and put as many of these policies that reflect the broader feeling of America. This is a center-right country.
We know that. And we need to enshrine these policies into law so that presidents are not able to change this. And so many of these policies that President Trump calls common sense, and I could not agree with him more. We might say Tennessee common sense. And so we've got to put them into law and make sure that they reflect the values of America.
Speaking of that, I know we claim her now, but she's originally from Oklahoma. uh but carrie underwood can i just say that was a really remarkable moment when you know the the tech glitch happened there was no music and she was like i can just sing it you know and and it was really one of those quintessential moments what was that like uh well you know initially probably you on watching on tv had a literal clearer sense for what was going wrong some of us you know it was it was not entirely clear we couldn't see up close what you know she was saying And I understand from those who are watching, she very quickly said, I'll just sing it or mouth that to someone. And, you know, I couldn't see that from where I was sitting, but we knew something was amiss. And then she had the chutzpah to just say, hey, just laugh at the phone and I'll sing this thing. And, you know, that's one of those great moments.
And I think it's a reflection of, you know, the kind of Tennessee. She's not from Tennessee, but the Tennessee spirit of just we're going to roll up our sleeves and get things done and we'll barrel through and work past whatever obstacles are thrown in our way. And certainly that's the attitude that Donald Trump has. And it was what she did at the end, though. She applauded you guys in the audience.
And I thought that was pretty clever. But also it goes to the heart of, I think, the entire America First movement is don't rely on somebody else. If something goes wrong, you just, like you said, you get up and you take care of it. And it was just a fun moment out of yesterday. Absolutely.
And this is, you know, I think deeply embedded into the psyche of Tennesseans who have kind of a get-or-done attitude. My father used to say, eat it up, wear it out, make it do or do without. And I think we saw Carrie Underwood making it do. Congressman John Rose on our Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line today. You know, Congressman, about 20 minutes before Trump put his hand on the Bibles, there was a lot of controversy over Joe Biden, the last-minute pardons of his family.
For me, the bigger concern I had was that he pardoned somebody who shot and killed an FBI agent, and then there was somebody who shot and killed two guys responsible for killing a Virginia police officer. I would love to know why those people were worthy of clemency or a pardon.
Well, I think that's a really good question. And unfortunately, we see this in so many of the actions of President Biden during his four years in office, and certainly here at the end that are just out of step with the values of Americans and I think not reflective of what we would like to see from our federal government And this president that just left office obviously had little esteem or respect for our law enforcement or our men and women in arms, and so these pardons I think are reflective of that. And little regard at the end of the day for victims of violent crime, obviously opening our southern border and letting so many criminals enter our country and failing to enforce our laws aggressively, all very troubling. And the pardons, I think, are reflective of that. But I think what will really go down, and that's despicable in my view, but what will really go down in history is that he, you know, we've heard about the Biden crime family, so-called, and I think we saw the president taking steps yesterday to insulate his family members who had been recipients of payments from overseas.
He was insulating them from any recourse. He'd already done so for his son, Hunter, who had been convicted of failing to pay his taxes. And so it's really reprehensible and I think is kind of the final nail in the reputation of Joe Biden. Congressman, your name has been mentioned, floated around as a possible candidate for governor here in Tennessee. also Senator Marshall Blackburn now says that she's you know prayerfully considering a run first um are you are you thinking about running for governor and what do you think about Marshall Blackburn well I am thinking about running and that's something that I've been giving a lot of thought to for uh more than a year really and uh it is something I'm considering and likely to make an announcement on in the not too distant future and so uh I went to Washington I came here to Washington because I wanted to bring Tennessee values to Washington and be part of helping implement Donald Trump's agenda for remaking America and restoring the greatness of America.
And I'm going to get a chance to do that now in a way that I haven't in the time that I've been here. But we also face challenges back in Tennessee. And I think it's a critical moment in the state's history. We've got to safeguard what makes Tennessee unique and special. And I want to be a part of that.
And so I've been talking with folks all across the state from Mountain City to Memphis, as they say. And so I think I'm close to making an announcement about that and hope to be a part of Tennessee's future and helping to secure the state for our future. My forebears arrived before Tennessee was a state in 1790, and I'm the proud custodian of that family heritage with our farm that's been in the family since 1790, and two young sons that I hope will become the ninth generation of the family to continue that legacy. And so I'm very vested in what is good for Tennessee and hope to have a part and be able to make a difference for Tennesseans. If Senator Blackburn jumps into the race, would that have an impact for you one way or the other?
I don't think so. You know, it's a free country and there's a democratic process, and I think Tennesseans will have an opportunity to choose. You know, I'm a farmer and a small business person. I know what it's like to sign the front side of a check and to create jobs and put people to work. And I haven't spent my life in the public sector, but rather in the private sector, creating opportunities.
And I came to Washington to serve for a season and planned always to go home. I think I may have some service left in me. And so I think there's a distinction there. and I'm looking forward to helping to communicate that to the people of Tennessee. All right.
Well, Congressman, good luck to you, and we love having you on the program. Thank you. Absolutely, Todd. Thank you for having me on the show. It's a great honor and privilege to serve the people of Tennessee.
All right. There you have it, folks. Congressman John Rose, representing Tennessee's 6th Congressional District, also confirming on this program that he is considering a run for the governor's mansion, and that ought to be an entertaining race. Senator Marsha Blackburn also expressing interest in that race as well. All right, we're going to take a quick break here.
901-260-5926. That's our number, 901-260-5926. This is the Todd Stern Show. All right. Um, wow, Scott Jennings over at CNN, really, really knocking it out of the ballpark.
Jennings, you know, he's the only, I think he's really the only conservative they've got over there. And he does a great job going toe to toe with all of these wackadoodles.
So anyway, Jennings was trying to explain why people are excited about Trump. Take a listen.
Well, watching Donald Trump's day today, I'm just struck by the fact that we have a president again. And look at this guy's day. Three speeches, 196 executive actions, holds a 90-minute press conference narrating each one as he goes along. I mean, Joe Biden could not and would not offer the kind of transparency or vigor to the American people that we got here on day one from Trump. And tonight Trump's going to throw on a tux and go to three balls.
I mean, he's having an active day. I think it's going to be a massive amount of contrast here for a presidency like what we're going to see out of Trump and versus what we've had out of Biden. I was watching Trump today, and Dan and I were talking earlier today, watching him walk down the hall of the Capitol. And the words that came to mind to me were gritty, resilient, determined, and audacious. There's not like a more perfect advertisement for the value of these qualities in modern America.
I mean, you think about all the things that happened to him. winning, losing, the court cases, nearly being assassinated. It's rather audacious what he has accomplished winning this election and taking office today. And, you know, you said you were in shock.
Well, Republicans are in awe. What about the pardons? What's your take on that? Here's what I think. Were these people punished?
Yes. Were they ruined financially? Yes. Did they spend time in jail? Yes.
Have their lives been ruined? Absolutely. And when you said earlier, Van, or Ax, that you think this sends a terrible signal that you can get away with things like this, as though we've never had a moment in recent American history when people were not punished for rampaging around when they shouldn't have been. It was the summer of 2020. And these people were actually punished.
Those people were never even charged. That's not true at all. That's not true. Most charges were not. Let them answer.
All right. There you go. But look, Jennings is right, and especially when it comes to those pardons. Absolutely right.
Okay, I have a question here about TikTok. By the way, there was a very unfortunate typo on Fox News regarding the word TikTok, and I can't even politely explain to you what that misspelling was, but it was bad coming and it was bad going. That's all I'm going to say. It was really naughty. Very funny, though.
Anyway, people are all upset about TikTok. And I just have a question, all right, because I know President Trump is considering lifting the ban on TikTok.
So here's my question. President Trump was initially opposed to TikTok, as it was most of the America First movement, because they said TikTok, China was using TikTok to spy on Americans. And I think, quite frankly, I think they were engaging in some psychological warfare as well, because most of the people using TikTok are young people.
So anyway, for the longest time, up until a couple of weeks ago, the Trump administration and the Trump team's position was TikTok is bad. But now TikTok is good. And I want to know, what is it that made TikTok good? It was very dangerous, and now it's not. And I'm curious to know why that is.
So there's an interesting story here because people went nuts. People went nuts when TikTok was, when the ban was announced. And Odina was playing some audio earlier today from some TikTok star, some TikTok celebrity. And the guy was just suffering a meltdown. Never heard anything like it.
So you've got all these people out there. They're suffering psychotic breaks. And I'm thinking, man, they must really love TikTok.
Well, it turns out that the experts are saying that, quite frankly, we're dealing with an addiction here. And they're warning that a complete ban on TikTok could spark some serious psychological and physical withdrawal among the faithful, like this guy. Normally, when something happens, I would get on TikTok and start complaining, and I can't even do that. I feel disconnected. I feel cut off.
From the world and my community. This is crazy. This is f***ing crazy. God, and I can't, like, now I'm rooting for Trump? Ew!
God, like, make America f***ing great again, I guess. God.
Okay, I have some questions. First of all, was that a guy? That was a man. Oh, okay. All right.
We don't judge. Oh, it does?
Okay, we judge. We can judge. All right. So dude ain't a lady, but he thinks he is. And he's up.
He's I mean, this guy that's tame compared to some of the other responses I've seen to all of this.
Now, before you suggest here that and I know there are a lot of people, a lot of grandmas and a lot of moms out there and dads and you're mocking the children over their withdrawal here. But what would you do if Facebook went down? Grandmas. What would you do? And I know what you would do because I've seen what happens when Facebook goes down for like five minutes.
All you know what breaks loose. I've heard sweet church-going grandmas say unmentionable things coming out of their mouths. You know who you are. And what about X? All of you people on X.
it's possible that the entire country is grossly addicted to social media. And I feel bad for the TikTok people. I really do. But here's the thing, in all seriousness, if China really is using this to spy on Americans, we can't have that anywhere on this planet. We can't.
We cannot allow that here in America. We just can't do it. And the psychological harm that it's doing, that's troubling as well. All right, we've got to take a break. 901-260-5926.
This is the Todd Starr Show. Wow, first blizzard warning in the history of Lafayette, Louisiana. Wow, you folks, hang in there. Put on a pot of gumbo, some jambalaya. It'll be all right.
You'll survive. You'll be able to tell the grandkids this story one day. All right, welcome back to the Todd Stearns Radio Show. Good to have you with us.
So a lot of political fallout now coming from that so-called prayer service at the National Cathedral, now known as the Sanctuary of Satan, where the bishop lectured President Trump.
So we'll be talking more about that tonight on my Newsmax show. Right now, though, I want to go to the Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line and say hello to our good friend, great American patriot, the great Jeffrey Lord. Jeffrey, hope you're doing good today.
well you know i thought i was down in dc for some of the inaugural festivities and i have to say uh it was a tad nippy down there to say the least and i am now home in pennsylvania where in where i live in my house it is 72 degrees i'm fine yeah that's a very balmy uh 72 degrees uh in Pennsylvania. You know, Jeffrey? I think the temperature was down to 15 or something like that the other day. It was amazing. And I will say this, I came home and the new addition, since I had been away, is about a foot of snow.
Oh, wow. That's something I hope I don't see in memphis yeah i get it so president trump yesterday promised the golden age of america do you see that coming jeffrey do you see the golden age i do uh you know at the end of the day and and you know this this is all policy related and uh you know not unlike the reagan revolution, the Trump revolution is talking about, you know, free or lowering taxes. It's about peace through strength, letting people get out there to build their own futures and all of that kind of thing. All of that is to the good. That's what President Reagan did.
It created, I think it was some 21 million jobs over time. it was a very good deal for the American people, which is why his opponents notwithstanding, he was re-elected in a 49-state landslide in 1984. And this time around, President Trump had a pretty significant win. And people are really, I think, excited. When I was down there in D.C., you couldn't miss the excitement.
There were people all over the place, men, women, and children, they were wearing the red Make America Great Again hat. They're all bundled up. They have sweaters and sweatshirts and all this sort of stuff on display. They were really enthusiastic about the coming Trump era, and I think with reason. I mean, when you look at what he did just yesterday, in addition to the big speeches, you had the inaugural ball, the parade, you had the – there was just so much going on yesterday.
He signed 42 executive orders, made 115 personnel decisions, and enacted more than 200 executive actions. He pardoned nearly all the J6 political prisoners, and he did all of that while he was doing an impromptu press conference for about an hour with the media. That was remarkable. He is, and this is what I love about him, and I think so many millions of Americans love about him, precisely because he doesn't come from a political background. and comes from the private sector, and he was a businessman, etc.
The key word with Donald Trump always is action. Not talk, but action. And there he is signing these executive orders one after another, getting things done. I mean, by the end of the day, he had done more in one day than I think Joe Biden had managed in four years. It was just an incredible sight to behold.
And, you know, I think America is better off for it. And that's only on day one. What I find fascinating is that the media doesn't get it. I mean, even Harvard University, I was reading a piece earlier today, Harvard is hiring a pro-MAGA PR firm to deal or a lobbying firm because they know, they see the writing on the wall. And yet the media is out there, CBS says, oh, there were only white people there at the inauguration.
you got cnn saying elon musk is you know saluting the nazis they just don't get it do they you know one of the things i did this was quite a while ago uh somebody raised a question about that kind of thing i forget whether it was elon musk or trump or whatever but i went through took some time did some research i went through and i found all these photographs of people like barack Obama and Joe Biden with their right hand out raised.
Well, what were they doing? They weren't doing the Hitler salute. They were waving to people. But that's how you wave it. You put your arm out there and you're doing it.
That's clearly what Elon Musk was all about. And to try and make it into something that is not only not true, but, you know, wow, talk about dirty politics. That's unreal. Our good friend Jeffrey Lord on the Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line.
so where do we go from here Jeffrey and and again I I mean you hate to say this you know on day one the first full day of the administration but this presidency is four years there is a time stamp on it yeah yeah there is well I think you know basic things uh I think uh number I don't know whether it's number one but I think one of the things he wants to do is work on our relationship with China and this whole TikTok episode is part and parcel of dealing with China. But I think probably at the top of this list, not probably, I think almost decidedly, is the border, the southern border, and getting that in shape. I mean, it's just been abysmal shape. It's all kinds of problems here. Not for nothing did the Congress pass the Laken Riley Act, named for that poor girl who was killed by an illegal with a criminal record who shouldn't have been here in the first place, and all she's doing is jogging down there outside the University of Georgia, and she gets murdered.
And I think that was a lesson for a lot of people, and that's to the good.
So there are things like that that are going to be changed, and radically so. I mean, when I say radically, I mean 100% in the other direction from the Biden situation. And I must say, having been to my sphere of inauguration, I was a little amused to watch President Trump's inaugural address and watching the faces of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris as they sat somewhere behind him there. Kamala Harris was sort of stone-faced. Biden would put his hand up to his head, you know, and you could see him like almost shaking his head and all that.
And I thought, you go for it, President Trump. He tore them a new one. Yes, yes, absolutely.
So we will go on here, but I think it's, you know, not all presidents make major changes in this country. But just writing my column for the American Spectator for tomorrow. You know, I went through some of the four whom change was a big deal and it had lasting impact. Andrew Jackson, Abraham Lincoln, Teddy and Franklin Roosevelt, Ronald Reagan. You know, these presidencies were a big deal and they left the country differently and I would argue in some cases a lot better than when they found it.
And I think we are in for that kind of presidency exactly here. You know, by the time he leaves, the country will be a different place. Thank goodness. You know, Jeffrey, I think it's interesting. They put out a statement the White House did yesterday showing some of the changes to the Oval Office.
And they have returned the portrait of Andrew Jackson to the Oval Office and also the rug that President Reagan had installed. Yeah, I thought so. And, you know, I've been in the Oval Office my fair share of times when President Reagan was there. I have a picture of myself with President Reagan, and behind this is the Andrew Jackson portrait. It was, you know, quite a thing, considering that Andrew Jackson was a Democrat, I might add.
Right. Not just any Democrat, but he was, historians consider he and Thomas Jefferson the co-founders of the Democratic Party. And, you know, for decades until the Democratic Party became woke, you know, Republicans would have the Lincoln Day dinner every year around the country and all that sort of thing. And Democrats would have the Jefferson Jackson Day dinners. But they've sort of soured on old Andy.
But it's good to see him back. You know, Jeffrey, I'm curious here. Barack Obama and his legacy. It just, it seemed to me that he just looked diminished at the inauguration. I'm wondering if he really hurt himself by his insertion into this presidential run.
Yeah, I think that one of the fascinating things about modern American politics is how much of a cult the Obama campaign and presidency was. And now that he's gone and there's distance here, the cult members are fading away or they're denying they were ever there and they've switched over and all of this kind of thing. I think it's kind of interesting. And the very fact that Barack Obama could take grief because he sat next to Donald Trump at Jimmy Carter's funeral and they were chatting up a storm. It says everything about the condition of the Democratic Party.
It does. It does. All right, Jeffrey, we're going to leave it there. Tomorrow, the column, an American spectator. Folks, got to go read that.
Jeffrey, good hearing from you, my friend. All right, my friend. On we go. Happy New Year. Happy New Year.
Jeffrey Lord, everybody, great author. You can read his work at the American Spectator. Brand new column out tomorrow, and you're going to want to read that. All right, we've got to take a break here. 901-260-5926.
That's 901-260-5926.

according to the reporting police officers were called to highland chateau apartments they were met by a resident and her 33 year old son adele toton the mother told police that toton broke into her apartment through a broken window toton took down her indoor security cameras and then found his brother's cremated ashes and put them in a toilet totin allegedly stole a cap worth ten dollars mpd arrested him on the scene mr totin is now charged with aggravated burglary and abuse of a corpse being held on a five thousand dollar bond do we know why this guy you see this is the problem with modern day news reporters they don't ask all the important questions for example why why was the guy flushed down the commode did he and his brother have some sort of a long-standing pack i mean maybe the guy wanted a burial at sea and that's as good as they could get i don't know but somebody ought to be asking these questions so anyway um there you go you never know what's going to happen in memphis ben dieter's very excited he's heading out to a school board meeting tonight and this is like a big deal in memphis it's i mean they could have thousands of people at this meeting and they're getting ready to fire the school superintendent who's a very popular person her name is dr marie fagans and dita are you are you i hope you're wearing a kevlar vest i mean it's going to be a bad meeting tonight from what i understand they say as crazy as school board meetings can get you've not seen crazy yet well you've got i mean in memphis though it's it's an all female except for two dudes an all-female school board and out of those women all but one's a black chick right so you got one white chick and all the rest are black and these gals are something else and it's and it's and they're all democrats that's what you also have to keep in mind and they hate the black female superintendent what gets me is this is a woman she's got her doctorate in this and that and you know education out the wazoo and everybody seems to love her except for the principals. And, you know, they hate her. But it seems to me that they're saying she's unqualified, but the people saying she's unqualified could not even qualify for a job down at the Waffle House.
Well, maybe they could. I don't know. I've seen some of these women throw some hands. You know, Todd, they're illiterate. A lot of these women, here's the...
Oh, they are, yes. Yeah, we ask ourselves why kids in Memphis, and it's not just Memphis, It's Baltimore. It's Chicago. These large blue cities in America. Why the kids can't read.
You just have to look at the top. What's the saying?
Something the fish rots from the head down. That's what's happening here. Oh, wow. I know. Very, very good with quotes.
So the board, the chair of the board, she can't even talk, Todd. She can't speak.
So we ask ourselves why the kids can't speak. It's because the teachers were struggling here.
