So I was watching the festivities last night from Milwaukee, and I got to tell you something here, folks. I have never been so proud. I have never been so humbled. I have never been so grateful to be a Republican. And I am telling you, last night was an incredible moment.

And I hope that you were able to catch a little bit of the speeches, a few of the speeches from last night. We've got a lot of audio we're going to be playing today. And by the way, hello, welcome to the Todd Stearns radio program.

So very happy to have you guys with us today. Here's the takeaway thus far, and we still have two more days of incredible speeches. Of course, vice presidential nominee J.D. Vance will be headlining tonight. And then, of course, tomorrow, Donald J.

Trump. But I'm going to tell you right now, last night what I saw was a landslide victory in the fall. That's what I saw last night. That doesn't mean that we don't have a lot of work to do and we need to be campaigning like we're 20 points behind. But I am telling you, there is something going on in this country right now.

There are people groups that normally would not even give a second look at a Republican presidential ticket. And these people are embracing the Trump agenda.

Now, I want you to hear me on this. What we are watching is not the rise of the Republican Party. We're watching the rise of Trump populism, and it's sort of a new, well, hybrid. It's really not 100% pure populism. It's a hybrid.

And I think in reality, if you're going to give it a name, I would say the Common Sense Party. Because a lot of the stuff that Donald Trump is talking about, a lot of the stuff that people last night were talking about, it's just common sense stuff. it's really not about politics anymore it's about the country it's about our families it's about protecting our businesses and our kids and and i will say this that there were some incredible speeches last night but there were several that just knocked out of the ballpark i'm talking about marco rubio who did a great job you had marco rubio dr ben carson and sarah huckabee sanders and their message and the way that message was crafted, I haven't heard preaching like that in a long time.

Now, it may be that there are not a lot of evangelical Christian leaders on the platform. As a matter of fact, there are none, but there are a good many Christians. And the fact is that the Republican leadership, they didn't want to have any evangelical leaders, and I'll get to that. I'll explain that in just a moment. but but the christians that spoke last night knocked it out of the ballpark and i was really hoping that president trump was listening intently to to their testimonies because it really wasn't about speeches it was about testifying i mean it was like a church service last night and those of you who watched if you watched it for an extended amount of time you know exactly what i'm talking about when i saw sarah huckabee sanders speak and i thought i thought her speech was the best speech of the night as a matter of fact i was texting with her dad governor mike huckabee during the speech and i'm like she's crushing it here gov and i you know when i heard her speak it was it was so heartfelt and you have to go back and understand and remember the hate and the vitriol that they directed at Sarah and the ugliness of the media, mocking her appearance, mocking her weight, mocking her demeanor.

It was one of the most horrible things, and a lot of people forget all of that. They forget that Sarah Sanders and her family were ordered to leave a restaurant because the owner didn't like her politics. Sarah even told a story that I had not heard thus far, that she was actually at an event at her little child's school, and her car was spit on.

Somebody literally spit on her car. I'm telling you, and people are shocked and surprised that they tried to take out Donald Trump over the weekend. We're dealing with great evil here, and that evil has a name. It's called the Democrat Party. And I hate to call, and I'd like to think there are a few good and decent Democrats out there, But you people need to stand up and you need to start calling out this evil that's in your own party.

But she was telling these stories last night. And the way she crafted her speech, her address, it was almost as if she was one of Donald Trump's daughters. I mean, this man came to her defense. And this is what people, people, they see the monster Trump, the one that the media created. They don't see the man with a wicked sense of humor, a guy's guy, a man's man, a person who is willing to help others out and he doesn't need any accolades.

He just goes and does it. That's Donald Trump. The fact that he's been calling the widow of the firefighter who was killed Saturday and told her, I'm going to be calling you periodically. I just want to check up on you. You don't hear those kinds of stories in the media.

By the way, have you seen this video that is circulating on the socials this morning? There was some guy, he was in the emergency room of the hospital there in Butler, PA. When he was there with his wife, they were in the ER. All of a sudden, all hell breaks loose, and you got the whole motorcade rushing in, and the guy starts filming. And people, when they realize it's Donald Trump, the visceral reaction in that emergency room, people just breaking out in tears.

And when they saw that he was able to get up and walk out on his own two feet, they were just shouting, and we're going to pull that, we're going to get that audio for you. They were shouting, he's standing up, he's walking, and people were just horrified and just genuinely concerned. Ladies and gentlemen, something is happening in this country. And I'd like to think that it's talk radio that's leading the charge here. because this is the only venue, the only venue, where people are able to call in and talk and share their thoughts and their feelings.

You're not able to do that on TV, and you can't do it in a podcast. You can't even do it on social media. A lot of time, you have no idea you're actually talking to a bot.

So there's something happening here. And Sarah's speech, I just want to play a little snippet here. cut number six please spared president trump from that assassin because god is not finished with him yet and he most certainly is not finished with america yet either i believe that there are some computer there's some computer diagrams out there and video showing that Trump should be, by all logic, that Trump should have been killed on Saturday. I mean, when you look at it all, when you look at the diagrams, when you look at the position of his head, when you look at where the shooter was, Trump should have been killed. There's no logical explanation for what happened.

And if there's no logical explanation, then it has to be a supernatural explanation. and that means that there was some sort of divine intervention here. There was some sort of a providential thing that happened Saturday. And I heard that over and over again last night, and it's not just from people, and you know there are a lot of conservative grifters out there and they just latch on to Jesus this and Jesus that and the prosperity people. No, that's not what this is.

these are very thoughtful, learned people, folks like Dr. Ben Carson, people like Marco Rubio, people like Sarah Sanders. And they're up there and they're saying that something else happened on that day, that God is not finished with Donald Trump. And I really do hope that President Trump heard that message, and I hope it changed Donald Trump. I hope it changed his heart.

and we're going to see that on Thursday. We're going to see Donald Trump for the first time speaking out on Thursday night. But there are so many people that are praying for our president right now, and I hope you're one of them. I really do. I truly do.

But I am telling you, there's something happening. The excitement, the enthusiasm, the media doesn't know what to think. They've already gone back to attacking Donald Trump in some of those awful, hateful language. But I am telling you that something is going on here. I want to play.

These are just some of the highlights. Cut number three, please.

Now is our time to fight. Fight, fight, fight. Fight, fight, fight. And make sure Donald Trump gets reelected.

Now, as the world watches, you didn't really expect that, did you? She makes us smile, and she loves everybody. And how could the message possibly be any more simpler than just that? Donald Trump has my strong endorsement, period. You don't have to agree with Trump 100% of the time to vote for him.

I saw him right the ship after eight years of Democrat-failed policies, and I'm confident he'll do it again once more. Frankly, you guys up there in the fake news have worn out your welcome. You have spent the last eight years lying about President Donald Trump and his amazing patriotic supporters. A bullet from a man-man couldn't stop him. Can anything stop Donald Trump from becoming the next president and making America great again?

I was the survivor of a politically motivated shooting in 2017. While I was fighting for my life, Donald Trump was one of the first to come console my family at the hospital. Let's make the 45th president of the United States the 47th president of the United States. The only way to make America wealthy and safe and strong again is to make Donald J. Trump our president again.

again he is bold he is strong he is fearless and he is exactly what this country needs right now just a little taste a little morsel of what happened last night powerful night at the rnc and folks i hope that you are excited and i hope you are proud to be a supporter of donald j trump now i want to say something here and before we go to break because there are a lot of people there are a lot of haters out there and they've been there for a very long time there's there's a guy and we're going to have the story up on our website here momentarily but there's a gentleman who owns a hot sauce company and they not only hot sauce but the guy does uh printing the whole nine yards.

So it's sort of he's he's an entrepreneur. But anyway, they're known for this hot sauce. And he posted a message on social media just the other day. The guy's a Trump supporter. And the name of the company, by the way, it's his name is Anthony Constantino, and the company's called Sticker Mule.

And he posted a message calling for civility. He says, hey guys we got to knock this off you can support joe biden if you want to you can you can you can support donald trump but we got to stop the political hate and it was a really powerful message and it there was nothing profane nothing at all i mean nothing offensive it was just that all over all over the world people loved donald trump and people went bonkers over this people were enraged and they're boycotting the company again it's called sticker mule and if you need a sticker if you want some hot sauce i would suggest going over to their website and giving them a helping hand but they're coming under fierce attack as a matter of fact a an apparel company called olive and york said they would no longer do business with sticker bill why you think it's okay to go and assassinate your political enemies What kind of evil nonsense is that? But again, people have been sucked into all of this. They have been taught. They have been indoctrinated.

The media, they've been trying to convince you for years now that Donald Trump is some sort of an evil Hitler monster, when in fact he is a great American patriot. And I don't know about you, but it is time that we fight back. And I'm getting to the point here, so bear with me. But there are people who are going to try to intimidate you. and bully you.

And I told you on Monday, what we ought to do is fly. Every one of us ought to fly flags, put Trump signs in our yards, on our cars. I don't care, but I'm tired of hiding. I'm tired of being, I'm tired of seeing people being bullied.

So we put a big Trump banner on, um, on our news bunker in Memphis early this morning, one of our crews showed up and they noticed a suspicious vehicle out in front of our building. The guy pulled up as he could see that our anchor Ben Dieter was pulling into the parking lot. The guy tried to block our entranceway. This happened early this morning.

So Dieter comes in and we have it all on video. You see these people are morons. They don't know that we video everything. And we saw this guy in this black infinity. We know what the guy looks like.

We've got a great description of the car, but he just stayed there. 20 minutes blocking the front area of our building.

Now, what was he doing here? I don't know, but I have a suspicion. But I can tell you this, we're not going to be bullied. That flag's not coming down. We're going to stand our ground, and I hope you do as well.

That doesn't mean you can't just go out there and just live your life like you can, like it used to be during the Reagan era. You can't do that anymore. You've got to watch your six. But I'm telling you this, ladies and gentlemen, we're not going to be bullied. I hope you're not going to be bullied because there are more of us than there are of the evil out there.

All right, welcome back, everybody. Good to have you with us. We're getting some new details on the investigation. By the way, the Secret Service is officially under investigation now. This is reporting from Fox News just a few moments ago.

Dylan, do we have that audio? All right, this is from Fox News about the shooter's parents. We have just learned that the Trump rally shooter, Thomas Crooks' parents, were looking for him in the hours leading up to the shooting. We're now told they eventually called law enforcement to report that Crooks was missing and they were worried and they also were told those parents are now being cooperative now with authorities but they gave them the heads up that something's going on with our son we are worried we don't know the texture or the details of their concerns so in other words well were they worried that he had a gun were they worried you know what were they worried about were they worried that he was going to try to attempt to kill a sitting president and then go ahead and assassin turn into an assassin and and and kill another person and injure two others it was an attempted assassination on trump but he managed to murder anyway are we talking about that what were they giving the cops a heads up about this is the first time we are hearing this we'll stay on the story and we will bring you the details updates as we get Okay, all right, enough of this. All right, stop, stop.

All right, so look, here's the deal, folks. None of this is adding up. None of this.

So the parents, mom and dad, did the right thing. They're like, uh-oh, something's not right here. They called the cops. And you heard Fox. You're right.

We don't have a lot of details about what made them concerned, but we know they were concerned enough to call the authorities. This guy had already been photographed not once but twice by law enforcement, and we're going to get into more of this in the bottom of the hour, here. I'll be setting up on Monday a task force, a special task force within the House. And the reason we're going to do it that way is because that is a more precision strike. It goes quicker. There's not a lot of the procedural hurdles. and we'll have subpoena authority for that task force as well.

It'll be compiled to Republicans and Democrats to get down to the bottom of this quickly so the American people can get the answers that they deserve. Since the assassination attempt, within hours, I was on the phone with Secretary Mayorkas at Homeland Security. He did not have satisfactory answers at that time. I've since spoken to leaders at the FBI, the Director of National Intelligence. They also have, there's real questions, let's just put it that way.

The answers have not been forthcoming. I think they're gathering data. We're going to do it as well. We have to have accountability for this. It was inexcusable.

Obviously, there were security lapses. You don't have to be a special ops expert to understand that. And we're going to get down to the bottom of it. All right. There you go, ladies and gentlemen.

That's the Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson, earlier today, saying that he's going to get to the bottom of whatever happened with the catastrophic failures that happened at the assassination attempt of President Trump. By the way, there are so many questions that people have. And I don't know if you've seen this video, but they had the Secret Service director was on CNN. And now she's saying, well, it was just too dangerous for her agents to be on that roof because of the pitch of the roof. There is new video.

By the way, all of this happened. This is at the fairgrounds, the Butler County fairgrounds.

So there's new video of the day that a cow, as in moo, a cow actually jumped up onto the roof of that building and the cow is wandering around him.

So you're telling me that a bovine can get up there and wander around on a roof and an FBI agent can't do that? You want us to believe that, FBI or Secret Service director. That's what you want us to believe.

now benny johnson has some audio and this is pretty shocking uh where you had vic um and again this is this is one of the regime people all right her name is victoria newland all right and uh she was out there uh just a few day or a few hours before the shooting all right a few hours before the shooting and she's out there on television saying that donald trump will not be the president, she had this weird-looking smile on her face, and she said it's not going to happen, that everybody's going to be surprised. A few hours later, Trump gets shot.

Now, it may be a coincidence. It very well may all be a coincidence. But I'm thinking something else is going on here, folks. And I hate that I'm allowing my mind to wander in that direction, but there are just too many things here. We now understand that the suspect was being chased at one point.

They lost him in the crowd. They say that he looks suspicious. The FBI or the Secret Service rather had about 30 minutes advance notice that there was actually somebody up on the roof. And here's the thing. Fine, you're not going to shoot the guy?

Okay, whatever. You can have that conversation, have that debate. but why would you even allow Donald Trump out on that stage if there was a suspicious person on the loose they had made it through the security checkpoints and that suspicious person was lurking somewhere in the crowd why in God's name would you allow Donald Trump to step one foot onto that stage why would you do that something's not adding up here they said that it was too dangerous and And again, these are the words coming from the Secret Service director. They said it was too dangerous for her people to be up on that roof, which, I mean, it was fine for cows. By the way, it was fine for local law enforcement.

But if it was too dangerous and that was a security risk area, then why not have drone surveillance up? Why not have aerial support up? Why not put eyeballs somewhere else on that rooftop? why would you leave that area exposed none of this makes sense so one of two things happened this was one of the the worst failures of the secret service in american history or this was intentional there's really not much wiggle room here and if it was gross if it was a gross failure then i my question is why is the secret service director still on the job now dan bongino who was a former secret service guy he's retired and he says that he's been told through his sources that the secret service director was called in to the white house and she was told to keep her mouth shut uh folks i'm telling you what needs to happen here congress needs to step in there needs to be a select committee every other all the business all the business of the government must shut down until we can get the answers to what happened and you don't want to go down that path but the question and people are talking about it so we may as well bring it up was there somebody in the secret service was there somebody in the deep state that saw this as an opportunity to take out trump now a lot of this makes absolutely no sense if you're going to do that why would you Why would you put all of the effort on making this succeed on a 20-year-old kid from Butler County, Pennsylvania? That makes no sense at all.

But something was going on here, and it could very well be at the end of the day. This was the result of firing very good and decent Secret Service agents, firing the most qualified and replacing them with people who could not even be a certified mall cop. It's true. and yet i'm looking right now at a cow standing on a roof that apparently a human being cannot i just don't get that am i right though these are the same people the same people you're right patty the same people you know what and i really believe i'm going to say something i think that boy was used they because i don't think the elevator went all way to the top of this kid and they used him that poor kid got used i'm well and he may be or he just may be some sort of a whacked out kid um but again it's it none of it makes sense the kid was a computer expert but he had no digital footprint um none of this makes sense and and we'll see what the parents had to say clearly the parents either they found a note something they found something that gave them pause for concern enough to call the cops i mean if you're a parent you're not going to just call the cops randomly on your kid right so something very very traumatic triggered them to call the police can i say something though before you go Play the tape from the 12th Friday the 12th when Joe went off in Detroit Michigan What happened the next day? He was screaming Detroit at that rally with all the seals and a sheep in the back, how he was a rapist, he was a convicted felon. Joe started it. No doubt about it, Patty.

Or do you think this was just an episode of gross incompetence? by the way there is a brand new devastating poll out this is brutal brutal this is from the Associated Press and National Opinion Research Center over at the University of Chicago they have a brand new poll just came out seconds ago nearly two-thirds of Democrats want Joe Biden to drop out of the presidential race now we haven't talked about this in a couple of days because of all the chaos and everything else happening but there is the general thought was well they're just going to let Biden ride this out. And that may be the case.

But ladies and gentlemen, if these numbers hold true, 70 percent of Americans and 65 percent of Democrats say Biden should withdraw from the race.

Okay, hi. I just had a comment as to this, you know, possible or impossible conspiracy theorist. I never believed in conspiracy theories up until I saw the conspiracies the last few years against Trump. And then the head of the CIA, the conservative, says it was too dangerous up on the roof for her people. but it wasn't too dangerous for the shooter to get up there so maybe we need a different caliber of you know agents if they can't get up on a roof and protect our president former president also everything like you said there's just way too many screw-ups to not be intentional could be the other way um conveniently he's registered as a republican he's only 20 they said he donated to Biden's campaign.

I thought they said four years ago, and that would make him 16. But even if he was 20, I don't know a lot of 20 year olds would donate to political campaigns, maybe. And another thing I thought was weird amongst a lot of other things. My last point is they said that the parents were Democrats, but that that was their firearm. And by and large, most Democrats aren't gun toters.

So I don't know. I just was agreeing that way too many screw up, especially in light of JFK. What was that, 60 years ago? We haven't perfected like how we do this by now. Anyway, Vanessa, these are all valid concerns you have.

And again, none of it makes sense. And if you've got the White House telling the Secret Service director to shut up, keep your mouth shut, that tells me something's going on. And Congress has to get to the bottom of it. And I don't care if they've got to shut down the government to do it. We've got to get to the bottom of this.

And we've got to make sure that, first of all, if there was some sort of a conspiracy to take out the president, those people need to be brought up on charges. They need to be dealt with. if it's gross incompetence, then everybody who's a DEI hire needs to go right now. Yeah, I agree. I enjoy your show.

I just started listening. I know in the past they had the hearing and, you know, Jordan and all those do a wonderful job of, you know, bringing out the facts, but it doesn't seem like anything ever happened. Yes. But we'll pray. And prayer always works.

and the Republicans throw great hearings, but we really not much comes as a result of it. But we've got it. That's got to change with this hearing. Vanessa, so glad you called in and welcome to the welcome to the radio family. Give us a holler back one of these days.

Let's go to Candy in Georgia. Hi, Candy. What's on your mind? Hey, Todd, I love your show. I listen to you every day, all the time.

First off, I'm so mad I could eat razor blades right now. But two points. Number one, there's a couple people in the crowd right behind Trump that I think someone should look at. The first one is a lady got a hat on, sunglasses, and a cream-colored shirt. She looked to her right, the direction the bullet came from, just before the first bullet was fired.

Never flinched when the firing started. And then she started filming Trump as he went down on the floor. The second person is a man standing to her right about two bleachers up wearing a hat, home-ringed glasses. It looks like a wig or something, an Afro wig and goofy clothes. It looks really goofy.

He sort of stood out. When the firing started, he did not flinch either and continued to stand there when all the chaos was going on. And thirdly, if the Secret Service can't compete with a cow on top of the roof, they need to take their badges off and sit down and go crawl in the hole. That's the best thing, dude. Candy, I like the way you think here.

And, you know, it's interesting. And I've seen the videos that you're talking about. And the reality is I think a lot of times – and, look, I'm with you. Everybody needs to be questioned. Everybody needs to be investigated who was there.

The reality is a lot of people react different ways to something like this, to a shooting. and if you you know and it happened so fast it was hard for people to react in real time so it's just again if if you're standing there in the back of the crowd and maybe somebody's out there looking for a loved one that's in the audience or a friend so i'm willing to cut them some slack but candy to to the point here we're still not getting all the information about what happened for example they told us one person was killed we understand two people critically injured well we knew that was not true because congressman ronnie jackson's nephew was hit by shrapnel uh that should have been counted as an injury we also now understand that at least two police officers were hit by shrapnel as well those so i want to know exactly how many people got injured on that day and are we talking about one shooter or is there was there another person there um shooting a weapon those are questions that need to be answered and these are questions that can be answered very quickly it doesn't take some sort of an investigation um it's just a matter of of counting heads candy appreciate that call and thank you for listening but it is true folks we don't have nearly enough information about what happened on saturday and there's no reason why we should not did you see the uh did you see the video though they've got the agents up there now remember it wasn't safe and yet you've got all these local law enforcement guys up there they were able to wander around and you had the shooter and we just need to make sure that Donald Trump's life is not in danger from from within the government and it's a shocking and terrible thing to even have to say but that's where we are right now and I would go back to the guns drawn pre-dawn raid on Mar-a-Lago over the secret documents the classified documents and the FBI had received permission to use lethal force if necessary. All right, we're talking about the former president of the United States here. We're talking about Donald J. Trump.

We're not talking about some drug lord. We're talking about the former president. And you want to use lethal force? What the heck is that all about?

I was really sort of interested in Trump's body language. And when Nikki Haley got up, I just, you know, he was cordial. but I don't think he enjoyed it her speech as much as he did Ron DeSantis' speech. And there was this great line from DeSantis about weekend at Bernie's, and Trump was almost on the floor. It was, he was really having a good time.

Nikki Haley, though, and our sources, and I was checking with our Newsmax team, they were on the convention floor, and they were booing Nikki Haley. She did the right thing, and look, I give her props. She threw in with Trump, and I appreciate her doing that. But she was looking for a job. That's why she did it.

I'm not sure DeSantis wants any part of the administration. I think he's happy being governor of Florida.

So there you go. That's my two cents worth. But, again, my favorite speech of the night, I would say Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Dr. Ben Carson, and Ron DeSantis. And, by the way, the thing about Ron DeSantis, for just a quick second here, the thing about ron desantis is that he was not being told by his handlers how to behave it wasn't like that you know he was um that that weird like do i smile now you know you almost it's like you could see inside of his brain and he had this kind of like weird smile thing and he was trying to get chuckles um and the whole thing with the boots all of that was gone last night and we got to see authentic ron desantis so welcome back governor uh good to have you back with us all right let's go to the patriot mobile newsmaker line uh congressman barry moore uh joining us and congressman we understand you're at the rnc how is milwaukee treating you guys well they're treating us fine todd you know there's a an increased level of security which is to be expected so uh you know it's just uh so far a great event i i tell you it's been so enjoyable uh the town milwaukee is rolled out red carpet and uh the patriots here are quite amazing what's going on within the convention hall and around the grounds is just something to see i was talking with tony perkins from family research council you know he's a louisiana guy and uh he was out speaking at a church on sunday out in the countryside he told me that wisconsin in the countryside is kind of like the south are you feeling that vibe yeah in some ways i really am i actually uh live in wisconsin first got out of college and it it does and there are so many pockets of that within this nation that you don't realize the urban communities tend to have the most i guess the loudest voice if you will but there are a lot of great americans across this country when you get out in the rural areas you meet so many of you know i was just i was just impressed and reminded last night by watching all the speakers you know how how diverse the party is how big tent the party is and you think what would Ronald Reagan say if he looked at what the Republican Party looks like nowadays you'd have to think you would be very very happy with the direction so so much so and I think that we're just in a movement within the country and I tell everybody you know I was at the 2016 convention and there was a level of excitement about Trump being the candidate but this time Todd there's that level of excitement but also a certain level of resolve to get the job done to finish what he started and to support him in that process and so reagan would certainly be happy that we're actually putting america first within our party and including people that historically may have not been under the tent so to speak yeah congressman barry moore joining us on the patriot mobile newsmaker line from the rnc of course tonight jd vance it'll be the first time we hear him as the vp nominee uh what's your take on on J.D.?

He was certainly a dynamic choice. I think the right choice at this time, Tucker Carlson mentioned it. You know, J.D. hadn't been in D.C. a long time, Todd.

They haven't got their hooks in him. And what I love about his story, not only is he a former Marine and came from nothing, but also he was a never-Trumper. You've got to think about that. Just a few years ago, he was a never-Trumper, and he said, I got to know the man, and I think America got to know the man Saturday. And just because of the debate, Obviously, the Democrats are in big trouble.

But to see a man who loves this country enough to stay in the fight after they've tried to put him in prison, they've impeached him twice, they've raided his home, they've hampered with evidence, and then he had an assassination attempt, and he stands up and he says, fight, fight, fight. And it wasn't that he wanted you to fight for him, my friend. He wants us to fight for the future of this country. And I think that in some ways J.D. is an outsider, but he brings that same level of I've got to know the man as America has, and he's our guy.

Congressman, I want to ask your thoughts here on the investigation. We understand that there is currently an investigation of the Secret Service underway. We know that Speaker Johnson earlier today said there would be hearings on what happened. Are you buying what they're trying to sell here? And I'm not quite sure what they're trying to sell, but this is really, really strange.

It is such a – again, I've got to say the providence of God there, Donald Trump. If you look at just the time he turned his head, the short distance of the shot, and I was a military gas expert myself in the military. From 140 yards, Todd, we missed losing that man by a millimeter and the timing of the round fired. Just the fact that somebody was in that perimeter, and we say all the time it's important for the American people to trust this government, but we have lost so much trust in this administration, And so there's just so many questions that need to be answered. And certainly with the weaponization, the lawfare, and now this, there are just so many things that make us wonder, what is going on with this executive branch and the leadership of this nation and the weaponization from a lawfare standpoint?

But now this failure to, once that round's fired, the Secret Service mission has failed. The fact that he missed had nothing to do with them. He was already marked on the rooftop as a target. Why would you let him get a round off? I don't know.

There's just a lot of questions, Todd, and I don't know the answers to those, but there are certainly some things that concern me about what we saw happen.

Well, I think it's important, and again, to understand this was not just an attack on Donald Trump. It was an attack on conservatives. You had one Trump supporter lose his life. At least two others are injured, and we know there to be more because I think Congressman Ronnie Jackson said his nephew was injured. he was in the crowd and then at least two police officers as well so we're looking at a number of people now who became targets of of that assassin yeah and and it's just like it said it it is unbelievable that somebody with a long gun was on a rooftop within 140 yards of that event in that stage i just don't know how you and it was an attack on conservatism which it's been an attack on conservatism since this administration, since Obama was in office.

But, boy, we saw a culmination of hate and vitriol there Saturday for sure. Just again, I'm so grateful that we didn't lose Donald Trump in this process, and I'm certainly saddened by the loss of Corey. He was a great father and a hero as well, but just other people who were wounded. It's a shame that in America we can't have political discourse without physical violence. You're right.

And it's all coming from the left.

So they need to get their house in order, Congressman. I'm tired of this, you know, equivocation, the whataboutism. No, the Democrats have tried to portray Donald Trump as a Hitler monster for years now. And it's got to stop. It's just got to stop.

Anybody who's conservative, I've said on Judiciary Committee, and I can tell you, Todd, almost without fail, when Nadler or Schiff or Swalwell, they start the other side of the dice, opening statement. They got five minutes. You know, the right-wing extremist MAGA. They always label us before we get started with this kind of, and now they're going, oh, you know, it's okay. We'll walk it back.

It's too late for that. They've got to get their house in order, and they really are. I mean, I was in D.C. when Trump was sworn in in January of 2017. Day one, they were burning buildings, and the man hadn't even passed the first executive order.

So they've always been attacking. They've always been on this just hatred for conservatism. And we just saw, again, we saw it play out. But it's their rhetoric and their actions now that I think are causing them so much trouble within their own system.

all right welcome back to the show so a guy just posted a video um and he was explaining what it what it looked like you know on the the day of the attempted assassination and he demonstrated what you know what this kid did which is he carried for over a mile carried a 12-foot-long ladder along with his weapon and a lot of other gear, and nobody in the Secret Service noticed. How do you not notice a guy walking around with a 12-foot ladder? By the way, new video surfacing showing the 20-year-old scoping out the rooftop just before the shooting.

Well, look at how he got picked on in school, everybody talks about. They know everything about the kid. Got kicked off of a rifle range in school and joined another one. And now, oh, he's in the history books. That's all he wanted.

And it could be something as simple as that. But Donald, that still doesn't explain the incredible security failure that happened around the president. And we've got to get to the bottom of that. 100%. And we're not going to.

We're going to get covered up. Just like everything else. Yeah.

Well, if I were – you know, someone suggested – remember the lawyer out of St. Louis, he and his wife, and they defended their home against the BLM mob with their guns, their AR-15s?

And again, this goes to show you the kind of people that were speaking at last night's convention. Cut number 14. President Biden said that if you vote for Trump, that you're not black. First of all, he didn't assign my ethnicity. That is endowed by my creator.

And he doesn't get the chance to tell me what my ethnicity is based on my voting record. I don't think that has the same context as an actual Biden phrase because of the simple fact that Biden came back with not just saying what he said, but also saying that we're not able to think for ourselves if you are black. If you are black today and you still view the Democratic Party as your friend, then brother, you might not need to look at yourself and the history of our people. Contrary to what people might think, black people are not stupid. We know how to go get IDs.

We know how to do everything. We are educated individuals. And the reason why you see the popularity of this code, we cannot be BS anymore. And we're not falling for the propaganda. What was it that made you support Trump?

I liked what he was saying to me. He spoke to my heart. He talks like he's at a barbershop, at a black church deacon meeting, or in the backyard of a fairing unit. I've seen more policies written for Opportunity Zones through him than I have through Democrats. We resonate around the truth.

And the truth is, for years, people have, of my skin tone, black people have been voting Democrat. Just because it's a family tradition, that's what's been passed down. Black people are starting to wake up. I've been awoke. My mother's Republican.

She's 87 years old. She told me a long time ago that the Democrats only use you every two to four years. Don't be used by anyone. Black voters have seen that what the Democratic Party has to offer is not helping their families. With Trump, at least he give them that sense of entrepreneurship.

He would have them value themselves and feel as though they have something to contribute to the country. All right. Just a sampling of black voters who are supporting Donald Trump at the RNC this week in Milwaukee. I want to go to the Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line. Jessie Jane Duff joins us.

Oh, good afternoon or good morning, wherever. Let's see, what time is it right now? It feels like it's already 5 o'clock to me.

Thank you so much for inviting me. It's an honor to be here. It's been an incredible time here in Milwaukee. Seeing what our party is offering to the American people. Yeah, I was really impressed last night.

The speeches, the tone and the tenor. um ron de santis it looked like somebody is it looked like he had been set free from whatever um whatever campaign operatives were telling him to be a weirdo uh during the primaries uh i i thought he scored a big win last night oh absolutely uh but what i was probably more impressed with that they had the fortuitiveness to bring average americans and talk about how the Biden policies have impacted them. I mean, Ron DeSantis definitely understands the America First agenda. He understands that Donald Trump had the best policies on the books. We've seen such a dramatic impact upon this country.

Nobody, I would dare to say probably 90 percent of the people that voted for Joe Biden had no desire to have 10 million illegals come over the border, had no desire to see inflation skyrocket, gas prices go up, potential wars on two different fronts. to see us hand money over to Iran, I dare to say none of the Biden voters voted for that. And so Ron DeSantis definitely understands that Donald Trump has the momentum behind him. He has the people behind him. And he understands that we're ready to take on this Biden administration and get it back so that we have the benefit of that great nation we had in the last four years prior to Joe Biden coming in on deck.

Jesse Jane, how big of a deal is it that Peter Navarro was released from prison today, serving four months in contempt of Congress. The man committed no crime. He was a political prisoner. We understand he's on his way to Milwaukee and may be speaking tonight. Oh, it's incredible.

I think this is a powerful opportunity for the American people to see that if you're standing by the principles and the constitutional rights in which you are given, and we know that the Supreme Court had ruled that Donald Trump had presidential immunity, and here peter navarro who worked in his team who should have had the same immunity had to go to prison because they wanted the january 6 committee wanted him to start making testimony against his boss and that was against his core values let alone it should have been illegal and we didn't see our congress until recently talk about ensuring that they overthrew the ruling of the j6 committee and the contempt of congress that should have been thrown out and here we have uh steve bannon already went to jail and now Navarro coming out.

So this is a great credit to the people that supported President Trump, understanding that they are fighting for something bigger than just them. They are not going to cave because they just want to get out of jail free card when they understand that this is bigger than all of us. As President Trump has said time and time again, they're not after me. I'm just in their way. What they really want to get is you.

They've gone after Americans on so many different levels. We saw it with the J6. We see it with the Catholics that have been protesting outside of, you know, have big peaceful protesters. We have seen it in Milwaukee when Kamala Harris was bailing out the criminals that were burning down the city, and we even saw three people shot.

Well, I'm sorry, we saw one man shot, and I believe others that were killed, during the BLM riots during Minneapolis. We know our country is not safe under Joe Biden. And people like Peter Navarro, the president himself, and others have stood up and said, you're not going to do this to us anymore. We're not going to cave. We're not going to become a socialist country.

We're not going to allow the government to take away our rights. But God bless Peter Navarro for doing this term. And now he can speak to it, and he can speak freely about it. And we can say we're not going to take it anymore. Yeah, well said.

Jesse Jane, before we let you go, I want to get your take on the attempted assassination of President Trump, the security breakdown here. We understand that the director of the Secret Service is being told, you don't say anything, the White House telling her to shut up, not say anything. We understand that she may not even be allowed to testify before Congress. What concerns you about the Secret Service and their behavior? You know, I think that they had gotten very sloppy, and that's a reflection of the leadership that this building should have been swept.

We know that it had been identified as a potential target or a potential opportunity for somebody to take a position. It was such a sloppy event on so many different levels. We saw footage, we've all watched the same footage, where it just did not look like there was an organization. Thank God there was a trained sniper on board that was able to take out the shooter because far more people would have died. This is an astronomical tragedy.

There was a success with this assassination attempt, and the fact that it did kill one man that we can never forget, who was a good father, a good Christian, went to church every Sunday, and I felt great peace knowing that he had a good relationship with God at that point, because, you know, when you die, that's it. It's over.

So I would just say the Secret Service really has some soul-searching to do, because they have one job. Their job is to protect the life of who they are assigned, whether it be the president or a congressional member or anybody else on that level. That is their one job. And this should we all already have the answers. We know this should not have happened.

But we now need to find out where the breakdown was, why it happened. And there needs to be people that are fired. And if not, the head of the Secret Service, in my opinion, does need to resign because she said the buck stops here.

Well, guess what? That means you should be fired. They need to have a great overhaul of what's going on at Secret Service. Yeah.

Bob, are you at the convention? No, no. I'm seeing great coverage that you're providing at the convention. Oh, thank you.

Well, thank you for that. Appreciate it. Bob, what's going on? What's on your mind? Well, listen, you know, you and I have crossed paths at some of these kinds of events before, and when you get done with a big event like a convention or a CPAC, there's kind of a letdown when you get home.

And I just want to encourage all of the delegates that are there that, you know, when y'all get home, take all of the energy that you've gleaned and all the messaging that you've gleaned from this convention and put it to work back home. Get the Republican local parties energized, especially in the deep blue enclaves in your area. Yeah, I think this is good advice. You know, one of the big challenges is that Republicans in general, you know, they don't like to get outside of those comfort zones, but we're going to have to. But the bigger the bigger challenge, Bob, I think, is the base of the party, whether you like it or not, has been the evangelical Christian community.

and the the fact of the matter is and there's a there's a piece up uh rod dreyer writing about this earlier today that that it's over for the the the christians have lost the culture war fight in the republican party right now and people need to come to terms with that um certainly that appears to be the case on this platform committee where the christians got their butts kicked so my concern is that the Republicans may try to jettison the evangelicals. If they do, they're going to lose. They've got to have those votes. Yes, and you know, Todd, initially I struggled with this myself. I've come around.

I think the Lord has spoken to my heart and mind on this, and what has happened, I believe, is we have been given an open door now to speak boldly about who we are and what we really believe as evangelical Christian Republicans, and to push back against the platform, and to point out where it's fallen short, where we would expect it to be in terms of abortion, the sanctity of marriage, and parental rights, etc., and what we've been given, because God sometimes works in slow ways that we don't understand. I believe we've been given an open door to begin to have this conversation. After that, if they shut us down, it's a whole other story, but let's take the door that's been opened and see where we can take it. Yeah, Bob, I'm with you. I think it's a good call, and that's a good word, and we'll get into more of this in the next hour of the program.

All right, well, I saw some video filmed outside, and then there was inside. Rich, tell us what happened and what went down.

So a group of us street preachers went to the RNC to go preach, and we came back to Winocky there, and we wanted a sandwich for dinner. And we were just standing in the store, and I heard that the red-haired girl, the first thing she said was, oh, hell no, I'm not serving these guys. And there was a guy in front of us, and she says, are you with these gentlemen? And he looked back and goes, I'm not sure these are gentlemen. And I pulled out my phone, and I said, there was a guy next to me, a pastor next to me, and I said, she said, refuses service to us.

And I wanted her to say it on camera. I said, are you refusing service? And she said, yes, all because of what we had in our T-shirts, which my T-shirt you saw says homosexuality is a sin. We had one abortion as murder, and Planned Parenthood murders babies. and that's what you refuse service for so rich i just have to ask this and and um don't take it the wrong way at all but were you guys rude were you offensive you know did you do anything offensive you just wanted a sandwich just we that's it we didn't say a word we i mean we have another video from another brother was there and he said we weren't rude to you we didn't make any comments to you uh we didn't say two words until she said i refuse service to you wow that this is insane Now, are you guys in town for the RNC?

Or you guys just happen to live there in that community? No, we went to the RNC to preach because they had that big protest Monday, and we wanted to preach to those folks the truth about Jesus Christ and God's word. Wow. Is this the first time something like this has happened to you guys? You've been kicked out of a place like this?

Oh, no, no. We got kicked out of Comic-Con in Wisconsin two years ago as well for our T-shirts. We got kicked out of a Dunkin' Donuts in Boston for wearing the same shirt when we went up to the preach at SatanCon. My daughter got kicked out of school in Tennessee for wearing a shirt that homosexual is a sin. I think you covered that one.

So, no, this is not the first time. Wow. This is really appalling, and I'm sorry this happened to you guys, but I'm glad you had the wherewithal to take out your camera and start filming it. So you've got to give them props for that. Also, they said liberals are wondering because of Michael Steele, the former RNC chair.

So whoever installed that guy needs to be kicked out of the party, too.

So he's up there saying, well, I really don't believe that Trump got shot in the ear. Because if he had been shot in the ear, his ear would have been blown off.

Well, yes, a large chunk of his ear was blown off, you libtard.

So anyway, we're going to be paying close attention. These people have lost their ever-loving minds. By the way, Joe Biden, and I promised I've got to share this with you before we bring Mary Walter in. But Joe Biden is losing support. And now there is a report out.

And Joe Biden says that if a doctor says that he probably needs to step aside, he would step aside.

So this is laying the groundwork, the foundation to send Joe Biden back to the nursing home in Delaware. That's what's going on here, just so you need to be aware.

You know, my one chance to go to the RNC was 2020, and we all know it happened in 2020.

So I have never been. I am so insanely jealous. Ugh. Why aren't you there?

Well, yeah, the cheap sorry so-and-sos, you know, they wouldn't sit me down there. And I'm not going to spend my own money. It's like thousands of dollars to go to the RNC. And the challenge there is, first of all, we can do all the interviews we need to do from here without only getting three hours of sleep a night. Yeah, but that's the fun part.

Well, it was. You never know who you're going to bump into in a bar at 2 a.m. But, Mary, you and I are of a certain age. And so we can't do that like we used to. What's this we business?

You know, at CPAC, you were nowhere to be found after a certain hour. I was in the lobby bar with everybody else. I've heard stories. i heard rumors grace baker told me grace baker my butt no she did not she's not down there either you've got her well trained no no look uh anyway we should be you know i don't think i don't think they can handle the walter and stern's combo platter i think that's the problem that's what it is so dangerous duo um all right let's talk about some things first of all this uh the joe biden story this is kind of funny uh do we have don't did i send you the um the biden line uh that he gave about um the the book of the old testament all right i so all right mary uh biden speaking at the naacp so you know he's quoting from the bible and he said that he was always moved and encouraged by this incredible passage of scripture from the old testament book of palms of course well to be fair he's Catholic and Catholics don't really read the Bible so you know I kind of give him that wow where did that come from I'm Catholic I know all right so as long as people know that because you know they'll come after me as a Protestant uh but it's true I mean we read it but not to the same extent like we don't run around quoting quote in scripture it's not our jam so while so it's the book of Psalms uh by the way Mr. President the book of Psalms the PS Island um then Biden is doing a conference call with Democrat House lawmakers and had Trump not been nearly killed, this would be the story everybody's talking about, because apparently he got very angry and defensive during this call, this private call with House Democrats.

But Mary, here's the brilliant part of it. One of the Stamfers slipped him a note and says, you are sounding defensive.

So Biden looks at the note and then he just starts shouting into the phone, you are sounding defensive. he literally read the note to the Democrats I just love this and can I say at the NAACP thing so that pops on my screen my television was on in the background as I was folding laundry because I live a very glamorous life and all of a sudden I'm like why is Joe Biden yelling at me what is happening they overjuiced him that's the problem there was too much Joe juice in the sippy cup yesterday morning and they overjuiced him and now angry grandpa was here screaming and yelling and he's going to keep the ball if it comes in his yard. I don't, it wasn't a speech. It was just screaming. And today he's in Nevada and he's in a deli section of a supermarket.

The man has no clue where he is. This is really sad. He's sundowning. This is bad. And things like that, like reading the thing that says, you are sounding defensive.

But on the other hand, as people who are rooting for Donald Trump, we should root for Joe Biden too for them to keep him in. They have about a two-week window to get him out if they're going to get him out.

So if he can hang in there defiantly for two weeks, we're golden. We're absolutely golden.

So I say go Joe. I want to play some audio from last night. Ron DeSantis. And we've got the old Ron back, which I'm very happy for. Yes.

Cut number seven, please. As a citizen, as a husband, and as a father, I am alarmed that the current President of the United States lacks the capability to discharge the duties of his office. Our enemies do not confine their designs to between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. We need a Commander-in-Chief who can lead 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.

America cannot afford four more years of a weekend at Bernie's presidency. What do you think about that, Mary Walter? I love it. I'm so glad the old Ron DeSantis is back. There are changes that are happening in the RNC.

Again I am not a Republican because I don sign up for a team that on the regular chooses not to fight It just not me If I going to sign up I going to put my time and energy in I need people who are going to fight And Ron DeSantis is a fighter. And you're starting to see more of that at this RNC, right? They're energized. Trump seems to be humbled. I think that that shooting changed him, as I think it would change anyone, in a way that I think is absolutely visible on his face.

I think Ron DeSantis coming out strong like that was the Ron DeSantis we know and love, right? The Ron DeSantis when he was campaigning was not the Ron DeSantis we all wanted to see. All of the people who have spoken so far, I think, have been amazing and wonderful and brilliant choices by the RNC.

So go Ron. But again, let's keep urging the Democrats to keep Joe in there. Oh, he needs to. Yeah, I mean, that is something we all need to be praying for. And we believe that Joe, he's voted by the people, the Democrats.

He's their guy. We've got to do our part to make sure that he stays in the race. CNN is freaking out. And it's really funny. I think everybody's now understanding where all of this is going.

And they're saying that Trump has a very visible path to 330 electoral votes. And we're talking about blue states that are going to possibly be flipping red. Mary, why do you think that is? I think there's an awakening. We saw it now.

I know that a lot of people on the right who are absolutists and Puritans and feel that they have the moral high ground did not like Amber Rose speaking. Right. I thought that what she had to say was so profound and so wonderful that we should be making the tent bigger and not smaller. And that we should be. By the way, that was Donald Trump who just texted me.

Did you know that? That was his campaign. They're very happy with me, apparently, and want me to send more money. What she had to say last night, I thought was so wonderful. We complain all the time that our kids don't know how to think.

They're told what to think. They don't know how to think. We bemoan that. Here is a woman who has a large following. I may not like what she did in her past, but we all have a past.

Everybody has a stupid season in their life. I don't want to be judged by my stupid season. We shouldn't judge her by her stupid season.

So I loved hearing that.

So I think you're seeing this fundamental change in the RNC and the reason why we see, you know, the tide turning towards Trump. Stephen A. Smith said Trump's unstoppable. He's unstoppable at this point. Even the yapping Yentes on The View are a little bit cowed, right?

But don't take it for granted. I'm afraid too many people aren't going to come out and vote because they're like, oh, Trump's going to be a landslide. Trump's going to win. It's raining today. I'm not going to go.

I don't want to go outside and vote. Don't worry about it. Trump's going to win in a landslide. Between that and what they pulled in 2020, I think if the landslide's so big, they can't pull it again. But I do think they're going to try again.

So don't take this for granted. That's my words. My words of wisdom, if you will, for today is don't take it for granted. Get out there. Continue to bring more people into the tent and get out there and vote.

You know, it's a good point. I want to bring in Ruth to the conversation. Ruth is listening to us from Oklahoma. And I think, Ruth, you just heard what Mary said, and I know that you want to talk about how it's important for all of us to step up here.

Well, thanks for taking my call. It is important. What I fail to see and what's stressing me out, I've worked with campaigns for a long time, and I tell you, what's stressing me out is we're putting all the weight on Trump and the right officials getting elected. But if the church, the body of Christ, doesn't start taking responsibility for their choices and quit acting like the culture, quit being influenced by the culture, and instead be the salt Jesus called us to be. He said to occupy till we come.

And so many churches are teaching the people to pack their bags and sit at the bus stop waiting for the rapture bus. And I'm like, I don't even want to hear another teaching on the rapture. You know what I want to hear? I want to hear Christians getting into every mountain and not an oral set it or a lot of said it go into every man's world we just right visited well we want to visit it Ruth it's a it's a good point hold on let me interject here for a moment uh and and Mary to that point there has been a raging controversy over the past week or so about the party platform Christians very dejected because they lost the culture I mean that's the reality of it they lost on the on the pro-life issue and on the same-sex marriage issue. But the challenge is, how do the Republicans not alienate Christians?

Because we've got to have everybody together if we're going to beat the Democrats in the fall.

Well, this mentality of, this is one thing that drives me crazy, is Democrats, rank and file the base, whomever they have to be, understand that a half a loaf of bread is better than not eaten at all, right? And this is what the Republicans have to learn, and especially the far right, the religious right, has to learn that not everybody in this country believes the same as you. Just like if this were, say, a Muslim country, I wouldn't want them where we suddenly had a Muslim majority and they want all of their beliefs ensconced in law. I don't want them taking away my bacon, right? Or refusing to check my bacon out at the store because it's not their belief.

Who's checking out your bacon at the store? Who's doing that?

Well, not anymore. I've hit that age. But abortion went back to the states. That's where it belongs. Everyone in this country has a voice.

We believe in tolerance in this country. We can't become intolerant. And that's what I see happening with some. You may not like the fact that abortion went back to the states, but that's what it says in our Constitution, that these are states' rights issues.

So work in your state. Work in your state to get your state to vote the way you want. but imposing your will your religious beliefs on others is a slippery slope because you're not going to like when it's done to you and half again half a loaf is better than no love because if we get joe biden i got news for you they're going to do exactly what you wanted trump to do except you're not going to like the way it goes all right mary we've got to leave it there ruth we've got to leave it there on a roll i'm on a roll todd on a roll give her some butter all right Mary Walter, ladies and gentlemen. It was no accident. It's the best trained, most equipped professional security unit in the world. And for this to happen, it was no accident because these are also the same people that guard the president and at the White House, which is the most heavily secured, heavily monitored cameras everywhere. and they can't tell you who or how that cocaine got in there.

So you automatically know that they're lying.

So you think this is incompetence? You think that's what we're dealing with here? No. Yes, there are a lot of incompetent people like the woman that's running it, But this is also the same agency that can't tell you who or how the cocaine had gotten into the White House in the most secured building in the world. And so who believes that?

And so to see something like this happen, there's no way in hell that if they were doing their job, you would let anybody get within 100 yards. You know, all these other security people that you talk to and professional snipers, you're going to be monitoring an area maybe out to 600 to 1,000 yards, 600 to 1,000 yards. And so how does this little 20-year-old retard walk in there in the middle of the day? And where did he get his gun from? How did he just walk up there with a gun?

Well, the father got his gun. The father owned the gun, and the kid was a member of a local shooting club.

So that part of it was somewhat understandable. He told his dad he wanted to go down to the club and do some shooting, and that was somewhat normal behavior. But now we know that the mom and the dad eventually called the police, and we don't know why, but they were extremely concerned and worried. They're indirectly wanting someone to do it to keep their hands clean. I say Dan Bongino needs to take a pay cut and run that that become the new director for the FBI. I mean, so who would have been held accountable if Trump died?

The FBI is covering it up by the Democrats talking the way that they do. let's put Trump in the line of life on the line when Trump gets in he needs a new secret service director and he needs to fire these guys well there's no reason why they shouldn't be fired right now I mean it's it's very clear look you had a you had a former president get shot somebody heads need to roll over this that that's what needs to happen and it needs to happen pretty darn quickly uh Mark I think it's a good idea um there and again the new video that's just surfacing literally shows spectators filming this kid as he's pacing back and forth in front of the building from which he would eventually you know open fire so there were so many missed opportunities and and it could very well be something as simple as okay well you know what we hired a bunch of people who you know could not be mall cops i mean it could be that simple but i don't know i don't think so. Todd, what about the two cops that climbed up on the other side? I don't know if you've heard about that. There were two people that climbed up on one another and saw him up there.

He swung the gun around to them. They fell down and took off. These were the local police. How come if that was me and I knew that there was a shooter on that roof and being that I'm a concealed carry person, I'm going to draw up on him and I am not going to let him take anybody out. He didn't have the uniforms.

He was, I mean, FBI, I believe, wears a certain certain colors. I mean, the police, of course, do somebody. If they're up that close to him, they should have taken him out the first time. There was too much time lapse between when they spotted him and him getting that gun off. If I was there and I was concealed carrying, I would have kicked in that door and figured out where he was under that roof and taken the roof down from under, you know, hit from under that roof.

I would have taken him out. This is just too, it's not right, Todd. It's not. Mark, got to run. Good call.

By the way, new information coming in on Corey Comparatore. Corey, that's the retired firefighter who was killed. We understand the funeral is going to be Friday, and it's our understanding, the reporting is that President Trump will be attending the funeral of Corey Comparatori. By the way, President Trump has already talked to the widow, and they had a lovely conversation. The president says that he'll be having further conversations with her, just checking in and what a you know it's interesting the first question that trump had as he was being you know as he was being shoved into the van is uh he wanted to know how the other people were who were shot so his his mind immediately focused on okay who who else got hurt how are they doing i want to talk to these people um and and that just again goes to the heart of who Donald Trump really is.

Rob Schmidt show last night. I thought everyone would be talking about it today, and I haven't heard it mentioned at all. When Liz Cheney's last book came out, She wrote about how she loved the Secret Service, and she made close friends with several people on the Cheney family detail back when he was vice president. And she claimed that some of these people became such close friends that she still talked to and saw them regularly 20-some-odd years later. guess where our new diversity hire incompetent secret service uh chair was uh before she had the dr not a dr jill biden detail she was on the cheney family detail am i the only one who finds it intriguing that the incompetent diversity hire in charge of uh protecting donald j trump may potentially the BFFs with Liz and the entire Cheney family who have made it their number one goal in life to take out Trump, even if it costs Liz or Senate feet?

Am I the only one who thinks that's a little weird?

Well, it's a little unusual. And again, they're going to investigate all of this but again it's it just seems to me if if if this was some sort of a deep state hit why would they use some 20 year old kid who had a very difficult problem you know aiming a firearm it seems to me they would you know they would have somebody else that they would be using i just can't imagine they'd be using this kid but again i don't know jerry it is all very strange uh and and i don't believe in coincidences um so so yeah it's strange and we've got to get to the bottom of it again had it not been for president trump just turning his head at that right moment he would have been killed he would be dead and the country would be involved in we would be in the middle of a civil war if trump had been killed i think that all hell would have broken loose in this country well yeah you're absolutely right about that but but everybody keeps uh oh this guy's a poor marksman a poor marksman if trump hadn't turned his head the second he did that would have been a dead bullseye kill shot well it would have but it was only 100 and he was 100 and what 150 yards away so there you go it's this is there there are a lot of unanswered questions I know that we've got folks like Bongino. Cut number 11. The Republican platform, interestingly, has moved to the center on a couple of key issues. There's no, for the first time in 40 years, the Republican platform does not call for a federal abortion ban. It no longer defines marriage as between one man and one woman, but it doesn't.

So is this a sign that your father is moving to the center in some ways or on some issues? I think he's always been there on those issues, to tell you the truth. And I think that's reflective of who my father is and what he believes in. I think that's reflective of my wife, Laura, who runs the RNC and clearly what she believes in. And I'm proud of the party.

I mean, listen, at the end of the day, this country has real holes in the roof. And you've got to fix those holes. And you've got to stop worrying about the little, you know, spot on the wall in the basement.

Okay. So Eric Trump just described to you that issues like pro-life, religious liberty, marriage between a man and a woman are not foundational beliefs of the Republican Party. Those are just little spots on the wall.

So I'm curious, is that true or are those foundational beliefs that have made the party what it is today? I think there's a lot of concern. I think a lot of people need to be taken to the woodshed. And it's not just the establishment Republicans, and it's not just whoever's in charge now, and it's not just the evangelicals. I think everybody needs to go to the woodshed, and we need to have a come-to-Jesus meeting about all of this stuff.

Otherwise, it's going to fracture the party. And I am concerned. We have just enough time left between now and Election Day that this is going to become an issue in many church houses across America. Many churches that had already disengaged from the culture war. But this is going to matter because had it not been for the Christian vote, Ronald Reagan would not have gotten elected.

That's how important the Christians are to the Republican Party. And, yeah, look, I hope a lot of LGBT folks vote Republican, but are they going to vote in numbers that will replace the Christians who are going to stay home? That's my question. Vance, and he'll be delivering a big, big speech. This is going to be an interesting one. the first time we hear from senator vance now that he is the nominee all right i want to go to a cnn report again talking about this path to victory for donald trump and it's just really looking phenomenal right now cut number 17 look at the map right now that gets donald trump to 303 and there's new polling today that shows the president's approval rating in these battleground States is below 40. The president's ballot number right now is below 40 in most of those states and it's 42 in Nevada. It's very hard in 16 weeks, we count the votes 16 weeks from tonight, to turn that around.

Plus, Democrats are now worried. They think, I'm not saying this is going to happen, but what they're saying is the president's going to have to spend more time and more resources on places like Virginia because it's competitive, on places like New Hampshire because it's competitive. You look at this map as it plays out and there There are Democrats making the case, and we have Wisconsin blue here. Let's move Wisconsin over here. There are Democrats making the case that Donald Trump is on a viable path as of today to get to 330 electoral votes, Wolf, or even higher, or even higher, because they see other states in here.

The Trump campaign says Minnesota. The Trump campaign says maybe New Mexico. Let's be cautious. Those are blue states traditionally, but the president's standing. His approval rating, his ballot number, people's views about how old he is, And people who view people who view the state of the economy are very bad for the president right now.

And so even if you just go back to where we start, Donald Trump is in command. The numbers are getting worse for the president, Wolf. And Donald Trump has an opportunity with this convention to build it even more. Yeah.

And I think that's exactly what's going to happen. And I think we are seeing and this is crucial in politics. It's called the big mo momentum. And right now, the Republicans have the big mo.

So the question is, will we be able to stay disciplined? Will we be able to stay on message from now until Election Day? We just can't afford to get sidetracked at all. We really can't. But I'm telling you, something is happening here in this country and within the Republican Party.

Now, I want you to listen. These are some black RNC delegates. There was, who was it? Was it Wesley Hunt? one of the lawmakers got up there and they were doing a play off of uh joe biden's you know if you're if if you vote for trump you ain't uh you ain't black uh cut number 15.

tonight representative john james said if you don't vote for trump john james how you see that different compared to what biden said about four years ago if you don't vote down show you ain't black i guess you have to be black to understand the inside joke okay but he did that mean that in the spirit that Biden meant that. If you have a problem figuring out whether you're for me or Trump, then you ain't black. I honestly think that anyone who's saying that kind of stuff, it's a little off and it's a little off-putting. But we are in this era of vitriol. You see how CNN does it?

You see how they play? First of all, the worst part is not that they're horrible journalists. They don't have a sense of humor. They didn't understand that John James was actually making a joke. He was mocking what Joe Biden said earlier.

So I'm not sure who this reporter is out here, the lady reporter they got, but she's clearly clueless. Clearly clueless. Cut number 15. Pardon me, cut number 14. My bad.

I remember when President Biden said that if you vote for Trump that you're not black. First of all, he didn't assign my ethnicity. That is endowed by my creator. and he doesn't get the chance to tell me what my ethnicity is based on my voting record. I don't think that has the same context as an actual Biden phrase because of the simple fact that Biden came back with not just saying what he said, but also saying that we're not able to think for ourselves if you are black.

If you are black today and you still view the Democratic Party as your friend, then brother, you might not need to look at yourself and the history of our people. Contrary to what people might think, black people are not stupid. We know how to go get IDs. We know how to do everything. We are educated individuals.

And the reason why you see the popularity is because we cannot be BS anymore. And we're not falling for the propaganda. What was it that made you support Trump? I liked what he was saying. To me, he spoke to my heart.

He talks like he's at a barbershop, at a black church deacon meeting, or in the backyard of a fairing room. I've seen more policies written for Opportunity Zones through him than I have through Democrats. We resonate around the truth. And the truth is, for years, people have, of my skin tone, black people have been voting Democrat. Just because it's a family tradition, that's what's been passed down.

Black people are starting to wake up. I've been awoke. My mother's Republican. She's 87 years old. She told me a long time ago that the Democrats only use you every two to four years.

Don't be used by anyone. Black voters have seen that what the Democratic Party has to offer is not helping their families. With Trump, at least he give them that sense of entrepreneurship. He would have them value themselves and feel as though they have something to contribute to the country. That's true.

And so I say welcome everybody. And I think we're starting to see that even here in Memphis, Tennessee, a majority minority city and a city that's been controlled by Democrats for generations. and it's really turned the city into a war zone. And the good news is all of this is fixable. And that's what Donald Trump is bringing to the country.

He's bringing hope to the country. That's what Ronald Reagan did. Reagan brought hope to the country.

Now, it's not going to happen immediately overnight, but I think that once Trump puts his hand on the Bible, we are going to see immediate changes in this country. And it's only going to get better. And as important as this election is, we need to understand that after this four-year term, that's it for Donald Trump.

So we have to be looking for a new leader, a new standard-bearer. Will this new coalition of groups that Trump has cobbled together that form the new Republican Party, will that actually hold? That's the big question.

So we're going to get into all of that again tonight on the Newsmax TV show. The conversation again continues tomorrow as we await the big, big finale. President Donald J.
