Wow! Happy Friday, everybody! And you might want to batten down the hatches. Jeez, hello! It is a little windy across the mid south, and there's a reason why.
The good news, the good news, ladies and gentlemen, is that fall is officially here, and tonight temperatures going to be down in the. 40s.
So if you're heading out to any high school football game tonight, might want to pack a jacket. It's going to get a little bit cool, and we've got Chamber of Commerce weather as far as the eye can see. Highs in the low 70s, lows in the nighttime in the 40s. It is great. It is great to be in the mid South this time of year.
Hope you guys are doing great. We've got a lot going on. Of course, a good many folks on fall break across the mid South and a good Many people down in New Orleans for the big game tonight. The Memphis Tigers taking on Tulane, and then the following Saturday, ESPN Sports Center is going to be in town.
So that's going to be a lot of fun. Everybody be on your best behavior. No drive-bys that day, at least not on national television.
So a lot happening here. By the way, I want to give a huge shout out to our friends over at Theater Memphis. Last night they had a special showing. Of the the new musical Million Dollar Quartet, it opens up tonight officially. But man, did they have a spread last night!
Huge buffet, and got to see our good friend Becky Dinkel was there with her Elvis Presley chocolates, and of course they had peanut butter and banana sandwiches on the on the appetizer list.
So a lot of fun! You are going to love this musical, and want you to get out there and be sure to support. Our local artist here in the mid south. All right, we've got a lot going on today, and the first I want to share the very latest numbers we've got on early voting. Shelby County Election Commission will be releasing day two numbers, and hopefully later on, usually around midday, we get those numbers.
But what we can tell you is that over eleven thousand people turned out to vote on the first day of early voting. Those are massive numbers. We're talking, we're we're talking over wow, twice as many as came out in 2022 when about six thousand people came out to vote.
So well done, everybody, getting out there and getting out the vote statewide. Almost almost a hundred thousand people voted on the first day of early voting, and we there's already some speculation that we could be watching. Presidential election-style numbers when it comes time for election day.
So, the question is: What does all of that? What does all of that mean? Is that good news for the Democrats? Is it good news for the Republicans? Because right now there is a lot of angst on the Republican side of of the aisle, and even here in Tennessee, there is growing concern about the campaign of David Hatley.
Hatley putting even more of his own personal money into his campaign, and the Blackburn campaign launching another series of of attack ads, and also sending information to local media about Hatley's. Past things he did back in the 1990s, which were absolutely horrible, and many of them were criminal. And is the the question is, should Hatley be held accountable for something he did, a crime he paid for back in the 1990s? Does that impact his ability to be the next governor of the state of Tennessee? There is enough concern that.
That even the Democrats are getting involved now in this. I think everybody is really wary of David Hatley and whether or not the disenfranchised Republican voters are going to rally around the Senator Blackburn, or are they? Are they throwing their hands up in the air? They're disgusted with the way things have been going, and they're going to give David Hatley a chance. Here's the problem.
I don't know if there's any any chance, any pathway to victory for David Hatley, other than to steal enough votes away from Marsha Blackburn, where Jerry Green is able to walk into the governor's mansion.
So curious to hear your take on that. If you have been out voting, if you voted early, give us a call. Let us know how things were going. I'm curious to know what it was like where you vote. I can tell you, I voted in Germantown and took about I don't know, thirty thirty five minutes.
to To vote, the line moved along pretty quickly, and everybody very nice, very kind, and everybody was in a good mood. But people were there, and they were there to vote.
So anyway, our telephone number nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. Again, our telephone number nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. Justin Pearson, and by the way, we're going to talk. We're going to talk about Justin Pearson with our next guest coming up in just a matter of moments. Kevin Snyder, founding attorney for the great law firm Snyder and Horner, he's going to be here in just a moment.
Justin Pearson is suing the Memphis City Council. You know the council sent him and a number of other far left agitators. Notices, letters banning them from upcoming council meetings because of their bad behavior, and when you see, you know, Justin Pearson, so he's like the, you know, he's sort of like a, I don't know, bipolar politically. One minute he's talking whiter than me, and the next minute it's almost as if he's in a Spike Lee movie. It's it's hard to figure out which version of Justin Pearson we're getting.
Okay. But the one that showed up at city council was was Spike Lee with a bullhorn, and Justin Pearson, you know, is really butt hurt about all of this. He sent out his wife, and his wife is sending out these angry messages to the media.
So the the wife is is out there fighting on behalf of her husband, and that's the way Pearson Zimmo is. If you've noticed him, he's always a guy that stirs up the crowd. But then when the police come rushing in, he scurries away. Oh, I didn't do anything off this year. I'm just a, I'm just a good and decent person standing here with a bullhorn in my hand.
I'm, I am curious who shows up to city council meetings with a bullhorn. Who, who does that?
So anyway, Pearson is now suing the city council in federal court. He's saying that his constitutional rights were violated. And they're also demanding they they want to know who leaked the letter about Pearson to local media, and we'll see how all of that plays out. But anyway, we'll check in with Kevin Snyder about that. I do want to play this audio.
This is Justin Pearson talking. Oh, you know he's in trouble because he's talking about his mama and his daddy.
Okay. My mom is a teacher. Daddy's a preacher. They taught me the golden rule: Do unto others as you would like done unto you.
So that's a that's a new ad, by the way. That's that Brent Taylor put put out. The state senator, he talks about his mama and his daddy. I guess he you know he was bragging about his upbringing and how his he learned his values from his mama and his daddy. I want to know did he learn that?
Did he get that filthy mouth from his mama or his daddy? Where did that come from? This is just the real Justin Pearson is the one you see, and it's very rare. Because a lot of this is political theater, but when you go back to the state capital, the one thing that was not political theater was the way he behaved towards that state trooper, calling him an m effing boy. That is the real Justin Pearson.
And the question for all of you folks in the ninth congressional district is very simple: Does that man, Justin Pearson, reflect and represent your value system? But I'm just telling you that guy is bad news. All right, we got to take a quick break. Kevin Schneider coming up. Can't wait to hear his take on what's happening politically.
A lot going on, but first, let's check in with Commander Chuck. Got a look at your morning commute. This is Jenny Garth from 9021 OMG. We spend a lot of time talking about our health, but sexual health should be part of that conversation too. I know because I have experienced low libido myself, and it can leave you feeling frustrated.

That's A D D Y I. dot com to learn more, including important warnings. All right, a lovely start to your day here in the mid south on this very breezy Friday. It's no, I don't know, sixty-five, sixty-six degrees outside. Have a lovely wind blowing, gusting to I don't know, two hundred thirty miles an hour, something like that.
Anyway, just grab grab your hat and anything that might fly off this morning. Hey, by the way, some exciting news for for all of you folks that love banana ball. It is coming back to the mid south, and I mean, I have never seen so many people in downtown banana ball coming. April second through the third, that's 2027, and this is going to be a lot of fun. There is going to be a ticket lottery registration that runs through October 31st.
We're going to have that information up at kwamradio.com, so you're going to want to you're going to want to go check that out in studio as promised. Kevin Snyder, are you're sort of like our Matlock, I guess. Is that is that okay to compare? We love Matlock. Everybody loves.
Matlock, what's there not to love? You big banana ball guy? I have not because we've been so busy this year, not had a chance to do it yet. But I want to take my boys out to do it because it looks awesome. Oh, it's it's and you wonder what is the attraction, you know, there because you know, major league baseball they've really suffered, you know, and struggled with getting crowds for the past couple of seasons.
And you wonder are are the folks behind banana ball really onto something? I think they are. I think a lot of people. Want to be more entertained, and when the Professional sports across the board make it so expensive, and it starts becoming, ironically, even political. People are turned off by that.
I mean, who would have thought that just you know, professional athletes breaking out in song and dance, you know, in the middle of the play, would actually like, wow, I really like that. You know, I mean, you're there to be entertained as well as see some ball, so why not combine the two? Exactly, kevinsnyder.com. That's Snyder with an I, Kevin Snyder. dot com, Kevin.
I've I've noticed of late you have really jumped into the political fray. Curious to hear your take on these big numbers we're seeing.
Well, when I Retired from elected office several years ago, I vowed I wouldn't be back. But things have gotten so crazy. In the words of the Godfather, I'm back, and you know they keep dragging you back in. But these numbers are very, very encouraging. And now, obviously, the eternal question that we won't know the answer to is: all these people that are showing up to vote everywhere, both in the rural areas, both in the metropolitan areas, who are they voting for?
You've been, you know, you've been very outspoken on on social media. What is what is the message here, especially for Republicans who seem to be statewide really divided? I don't think we're all on the same page here. No. And that's one of the reasons I got out.
Of you've got a lot of Republicans, you even got a lot of Democrats of saying, "Well, let's take a look at some of this independence," you know, because their person didn't win the primary. That is absurd, and the fact that we're even having this conversation is one of the reasons I've come back out. Is you've got literally a convicted felon. Running for governor, who could not even vote until last year because legally he was prohibited until he got his voting rights restored. I mean, the fact that we're even having this conversation, whether he gets five, ten percent.
I mean, come on, people, exercise some common sense. I mean, you give me ten million dollars, I'm running your campaign. I can make everybody sound great. We know nothing about this guy. He's and from from what I understand, talking to some folks that know the campaign, we're hearing those internals could be at could be as high as as twenty percent.
If that's the case, Jerry Green becomes the next governor of of Tennessee. I mean, that's just the reality of it. It could be. I mean, the question is obviously he's pulling votes from Marcia. Marcia's the nominee, and if you are considering voting for the convicted felon that nobody knows anything about, you know, heaven forbid.
Yeah, that it's just all very puzzling to me. And again, I understand the draw that you know that that Hatley has out there. People want to compare him to Donald Trump, but we knew about Donald Trump. We don't know anything about this guy, you know, and and that. To me, is is a red flag.
You know, you want to be able to. I mean, if you are going to be the governor of the state of Tennessee, we need to know. We need to know more about you.
Well, absolutely. I mean, I've you know, back when I had dark here when I was running campaigns, I've served in office. You know, the people that are running. And you give somebody ten, twenty million dollars, you can market them any way you want. But at the end of the day, you're right.
He's never voted. His campaign message is: I'm not taking any donor money. I'm funding all of this myself. You know, I don't want to be beholden to anybody. You know, talking about the special interest.
But when what he's also saying, unintended. Maybe it's unintentional, or maybe it is intentional. I don't know. But he's also saying he's not beholden to you or to me. Because if he's not getting any donor dollars from anybody, it's all about him.
Yeah, and and hopefully it it really is his money because as you've probably seen, there's a massive tax lien that was just filed against him or his company back in August of this year for what seven eight million dollars. I mean, if you got an extra ten million dollars to out of the blue, hey, I'm going to run for governor. How about you pay the taxpayers first? That's and that is a fair argument in the bankruptcies that were. Filed were did were the small businesses impacted?
The other businesses that were impacted, were they eventually paid? You know, those are questions that need to be addressed. Yeah, and if you were really serious about being the so-called independent, where have you been for the past years? I mean, again, nobody knows anything about this guy. But hey, let's vote him for governor because we don't like Marshall, we don't like Jerry.
I mean, that's that is absolutely mind-numbing. I do think it's. Interesting that Monty Fritz has not endorsed anybody, and and that's the probably another big question: Will those Fritz voters will they will they join Marcia here?
Well, we certainly hope so, and I would encourage Monty to get out because I think at the end of the day, Democrats and Republicans can agree on one thing. We don't want an independent as governor. I think that's one thing we can all agree. All hands on deck. Absolutely, it is.
I want to ask you about Justin Pearson. First of all, you know he's saying his his constitutional rights were violated. Does he have a constitutional right to disrupt a council meeting with a bullhorn? In a word, no. My my theory is I think my good friend Justin is going for the trifecta.
He's been kicked out and banned from the state. He's been kicked out and banned for local. He's running for Congress. He wants to see if he can do all three and get kicked out of Congress. I mean, this guy, this guy.
I mean, there is no way to put it. He's a lunatic. I mean, it is that simple. I've never seen anything like it. He's another reason I, for lack of a better word, came out of retirement.
This guy wants to be my congressman. I live in Fayette County. People are scared of him out there. Not just Republicans, Democrats. Long.
Friends of mine that are Democrats, African American, they always support the Democrat. They aren't supporting him, but they're scared to speak out against him for fear of the wrath that you'll get from his people. Yeah, and and he's got a lot of money, no doubt about it. A lot of out of state money coming in, and I think he's he's really. My question is, does he really represent the values of the ninth congressional district?
A guy who prays to Mother God. A guy who basically has a Talifrico problem, you know the James Talifrico running for the Senate in in Texas.
Well, and that's even before you get to the Hassan Piker, if I'm pronouncing his name correctly, hanging out with these DSA people. Of you know, as a former first responder, when somebody says, "We deserved 911," no, sir, you need to go. Yeah. No, I think look, I think it's a very it's a very fair point you raise. Can you stick around for a few more minutes?
Oh, we got all morning if we're talking about politics. I have more questions. New new data coming out, financial reports, and the Democrats are out raising Republicans here in in a lot of these races, including a very very important race, Tennessee House District ninety seven. That's John Gillespie. Fifty thousand eight hundred dollars.
That's how much he raised. His Democrat challenger Jesse Huuseth reports ninety eight thousand dollars.
So a lot of money coming in to the Democrats. The same situation with Justin Pearson, who has millions of dollars in the bank. Brent Taylor, the Republican, struggling to raise money right now.
So we'll talk more about that coming up next. We'll be right back. This is Jenny Garth from 9021 OMG. We spend a lot of time talking about our health, but sexual health should be part of that conversation too. I know because I've experienced low libido myself, and it can leave you feeling frustrated and wondering what happened to that part of me.
That's why I started taking Addy. Non-hormonal Addy is the only FDA-approved treatment. For both pre- and postmenopausal women under 65, clinically proven to increase sexual desire, Addi helped me reconnect with my desire. And Addi is as little as twenty dollars per month with commercial insurance coverage. Addi flibanserin is a prescription medicine for women under 65 with low sexual desire that is distressing to them.
Addie is for low desire that happens in all situations and is not caused by a medical condition, relationship issue, or medicines. Addie is not for men or to enhance sexual performance. Don't take Addie if you have liver problems, take certain medicines, or are allergic to any of its ingredients.

dot com to learn more, including important warnings. All right, welcome back, everybody. I'm Todd Stern. It's great to be with you. KWMRadio.com.
Be sure to check out our website. All sorts of great news and information for you. Kevin Snyder joining us from the great law firm of Snyder and Horner. KevinSnyder.com is the website address. I want to go back to Justin Pearson for a minute because he is saying we don't have enough time.
Well, there is. But he's saying that legally, it's against the law what the city council did. Does the council have the right to ban people that are causing disruptions or disturbances? They absolutely do. I mean, the law is crystal clear.
It's been crystal clear for literally decades. I forget the precedent-setting case of somebody argued free speech where they ran in a movie theater and yelled fire. I mean, you can't do that. And you know, as I understand. Part of his defense is, well, there is no rule that says I can't bring a bullhorn to the meeting.
Okay, I mean, the fact that we even got to have rules of decorum, and he's saying, yeah, it probably doesn't say you can't bring a bullhorn, but common sense and decency would tell you otherwise. I mean, this guy. I don't know what his deal is, other than just to cause chaos, commotion, and just get out there and just rile everybody up. And I think you said it when I was sitting downstairs listening to you. And then he says, "But oh no, I'm the victim here." Yeah, he's the victim.
Yeah, everybody else is the bad guy, and it's always about him. And that's I'm just curious what what did he do for his constituents in the state house? What did he do to make their lives? Better to make the lives of the people you know in his state state district better, and I don't think he did anything. I mean, I've looked.
I mean. He calls himself a political activist or whatever it is. I mean, what has even ever had a real job? I mean, all he literally does is go around and cause commotion, and then we get all these liberals from California, your Jane Fonda's, your AOC. Oh yeah, we support Justin.
Let's send him a bunch of money. All you're doing is providing him a job. I mean, his job, paid, is to go out and cause chaos.
So later on this morning, the attorney general is going to be here in Memphis. His first visit, Todd Blanche, his first visit to Memphis. I know Pam Bondi had had been here several times. He's holding a roundtable. We understand that U.S.
Attorney Mike Donovan is going to be there, also Senator Marshall Blackburn. When looking back, I think, and that will be the focus is not only the past year, but also do we still Need the National Guard? Has the crime problem been resolved here in in the mid South? Yeah, and I mean ultimately that's a decision that has to be made. Certainly, it's significantly better, and I can tell you that from personal experience.
Of you know, when I'm in court in downtown Memphis, the scariest part is one not only driving down there, but once you get there, there is no parking adjacent to the courthouse, so you have to park around the courthouse in public parking, and that one or two. Block stretch was getting pretty sketch for a while. We had an attorney robbed and beat up. I mean, we've had attorneys get run over. I mean, it's just, but it's been night and day.
And the people that stepped up and made that happen, well, guess what? Marcia Blackburn, Brent Taylor, they made that happen. Brent went to Washington. To get that done, Marcia chimed in, got Trump's attention, and now we've got Republicans questioning. Oh well, should I vote for them?
I mean, come on, people. They are doing their job and doing what they're supposed to be doing. Yeah, it's you know, people. A lot of people just aren't thinking correctly. I mean, this is the only radio station in Memphis that has direct access to the White House, and you've got establishment Republicans are like, oh, you know, well, that's you know, we don't want that, you know, well, okay, but you know what?
There's a reason why we had the National Guard here, and I know all the count. I know all the politicians are out there claiming responsibility, but the reality is one. Person asked, and it was on this very radio station.
So again, it's like, folks. I just feel like the Republicans are, are you know, I don't know, they're they're self harming them. You know, it's it's like self harm with these folks. Yeah, I mean, the good news is the Democrats are somewhat doing it too, because if you look at, they're just crazy. They're slap crazy.
Well, I mean, put it this way. When you get banned by a heavily Democrat-controlled city council meeting, and you are a Democrat, you know you are crazy. Oh, it's true. When Steve Cohen won't have anything to do with you, endorse you, support you, he knows. I mean, Steve, we disagree completely philosophically, but he knows Justin Pearson's a nut job.
I you know part of I I do not feel bad for Tennessee. I don't know if I've told you this story.
So I'm on the board of directors for the Tennessee Association of Broadcasters, and we lobby on behalf of all of our TV stations and radio stations here in here in the state.
So a group went up to Capitol Hill. It was lobby day, and they had put together this beautiful brochure of all the great charitable things that our radio stations have been doing, and they highlighted KWM. Because we do a lot for the community and we don't toot our own horn like that, but the the the tab did.
So anyway, there in Cohen's office, and I I got a text message and urgent message from the executive director of the tab. He says, "You're not going to believe what just happened." Steve Cohen, Congressman Cohen, in his office, he's thumbing through our beautiful brochure. He saw the KWM logo, became enraged, and literally tore up the the document and threw it on the floor.
Well, that's when you know you're doing the right thing, Todd. I I felt bad for him. I mean, you know, because you don't look. I would have loved to have been there to see that. But the fact that they had experienced that, I'm like, hey, welcome to my world.
Yeah, you know, this is. But so it's hard for me to feel sorry for Cohen. But we saw this coming a mile away. I mean, it was only a matter of time. Yeah, and it honestly it would have been fun to watch, had the redistricting not occurred to watch Justin and Steve go at it.
That would have been the probably entertaining thing of the year in politics. But you know, times change, people change. I mean, Justin, this is the new face of the Democrat Party. Jerry Green's right there along with him. I call her his sidekick, and she cheers him on.
I mean, you got Chaz Moulder. I think he's just trying to hide and stay away from it, but I mean he's right there with them. Let's be serious. Yeah, I'll say this about Molder, who's you know we've had all the candidates on this on this show, and Molder is Justin on, except for Justin. Except for thank you for that.
So Justin, you need to come on the show. Yeah, yeah. Look, I mean, look, if he wants to come on the show, but he's going to have to. And but I'll tell you this: that bullhorn is not coming to the studio. We do you have that posted downstairs?
Bull horns in the studio. We have another sign that says "No Bull." Sorry, I can't say that on the radio. Kevin Snyder joining us here in studio this morning, and one of our great sponsors. And maybe we should call you the official legal counsel of the of the of the morning show. Here, we have an official chaplain for the national.
There you go. You never know, Kevin. When when you look at at where we are right now, I mean, you got you you're um you're in. County and a lot of population is evacuating Memphis, and they're moving out to the the burbs. Are you guys actually seeing that?
Yes, and and as a long term resident of Fayette County, we love it. You're you're making our property values go through the roof. I mean, it really is. People are tired of it, and you've had Marcia, Brent, and the Republican Party are the ones trying to fix Memphis, and it seems like every turn we get guys. Like Justin, that just want to tear it back down for whatever reason.
I mean, Memphis is a beautiful, wonderful city, and if we don't fix the crime problem, fix the other problems. I mean, that's what Justin needs to be focused on, not just causing more of it. And I think that Mayor Paul Young, what's your take on Paul Young? Um. Obviously, we disagree politically, but I think you know he's doing the best he can.
I mean, look at what you've got. He's got a deal with the Memphis City Council, and now you got a Memphis City Council that can't even deal with Justin. And now he's getting ready to run for reelection. And if I had to guess, guess who's probably going to run against him next year, Justin? Yeah, I think Pearson loses the congressional race, and I think oh, no question.
I think he's he'll be the Next mayor of Memphis, I think that's there are a lot of people that are angry at Paul Young, but and I think Mayor Young's a pretty pragmatic guy. I think he he's a good man when you look at his his family, and that's that's the first measure of a man. Take a look at his family, and he's got a he's got a great family, yeah, classy guy. But I don't how nice a good as I don't think he knows how to fix what's broken with this city. Um, I I don't think you can unless you have other people in the legislative process, in particular the city councilmen backing you up.
I mean, everybody just wants to. It seems like in the Democrat party, they want to tear everything apart. But there's no solution to fixing it. It's oh, let's just destroy everything. Let's stop data centers.
Let's bring bullhorns. Let's go crazy.
Okay, then what? Let's say you get what you want. Then what? And that's what the Republicans need to listen and stand up. Get out and vote.
I mean, if one of these lunatics wins, whether and if you vote for Hatley, if you vote for whatever the lady's name is, Pinkston Pinker, whatever her name is, I mean, all you're doing is taking away any type of progress, anything. Yeah, it's it's a fair point. It's a fair point. All right, Kevin, we're going to get you on between now and election day. A lot of it's just it's fun, but man, it is insane right now in the political world.
You got to love it, and you know, having been retired out of the game for several years, um, it's fun to be back.
Well, you you picked a good election cycle to come off the bench. I'll tell you that much. All right, Kevin, and we also greatly appreciate your support of the mighty 990 and what we're doing here.
Well, you do a great job, and we appreciate you for speaking it like it is and getting the word out. And Republicans, everybody, get out and vote. Vote, just vote for common sense because right now it's lacking in the Democratic Party. Common sense over chaos. There you go.
All right, Kevin Snyder, kevinsnyder dot com. That's Snyder with an I. Kevin Snyder dot com. Go check out that his great website. We've got to take a quick break here, folks.

Well, that's all right. That's all right now, Mama. Anyway. All right, welcome back, everybody. This is Todd Stearns, and you're listening to the Mighty Nine Ninety.
The voice you're hearing, Russell Lindemann, starring as Elvis Presley in Million Dollar Quartet. The show opens tonight at Theater Memphis. Russell, a student at Memphis University School and playing the guitar as well as singing, and all of the artists, the phenomenal artists. And last night they had a sneak preview. It's gonna blow you away.
The level of talent that we have here in the mid South.
So if you love, if you love music, if you love Memphis music, you're gonna love the Million Dollar Quartet that show that they put together over at the. Memphis, all right, nine zero one two six zero five nine two six our telephone number. Curious to see how things are going out there for early voting, and who got your vote if you want to share that information again, nine zero one two six zero five nine two six.
Well, one of the other big stories we're going to be following is the takeover of MS CS by the state, the Oversight Board, and Looks like Roderick Richmond could be out of a job very soon. That story coming from the Daily Memphian. We could have a new superintendent by the end of the year. That is the recommendation from a consultant who's been developing plans to fix what is broken with the state's largest school system. You know, it's interesting.
They've been looking at Houston as Houston. Texas as really the as really the prototype of how the state can go in and fix a broken school system. The takeover of Houston school by the state was phenomenal, and the results have just really, really been incredible.
So anyway, we're going to see how all this plays out. But the good news here is that help is on the way, and moms and dads need to know that the. Their tax money is being used efficiently, and that ultimately, boys and girls, when they go to a Memphis Shelby County school, are going to learn how to read. They're going to learn how to write, and they're going to learn how to. They're they're going to they're going to they're not going to be stupid, and that's the problem.
We've been raising we've been churning out kids that don't know anything. And it's just unacceptable.
So anyway, great news, and thank goodness for the Republicans who are taking a stand here and doing what the Democrats refuse to do, which is to make sure that our kids know how to read and write and do simple math. That's it. Sad news for you folks that like to head over to Crosstown Concourse for the Crosstown Brewing Company. They're going to be shutting down. That's after.
After eight years, that story from the Daily Memphian as well. The brewing company posting a message saying that they're closing their doors. They never really explain why. Have you noticed that a lot of these restaurants and these pubs they don't they don't tell you why they're shutting door, or they'll use an excuse. They'll say, "Well, it's COVID." Well, COVID was a long time ago.
What the real reason is that people do not want to go out to places. Places like Crosstown Concourse because of the crime out there. I mean, it's really that simple. And I've I've always been befuddled over why these restaurants, especially, just won't come out and and be honest with folks. But I suspect is because many of these restaurant owners and pub owners are liberal as the day is long, and they don't want to say anything that's going to offend the Democrat leadership in in Memphis or Shelby County.
So anyway, sad news and a Crosstown Brewing Company shutting down. It was interesting though as people were commenting on this. I love scrolling through the comments, and and you guys over on the KWM pages have spectacular comments about. Literally everything, but one of the things that people complained about. First of all, you have to pay to park now at Crosstown Concourse, and the second big part of this is that they've got the the flock cameras over there, some sort of a surveillance system, and and people are really going bonkers crazy over that.
So anyway, there you go. Another another brewing company, another restaurant shutting down. In the mid south, nine zero one two six zero five nine two six our telephone number. That's nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. Someone said on our on the K one Facebook page, Vernon writing, talking about Justin Pearson.
I hope he shows up with his bullhorn at federal court in support of his application. Grab the popcorn and watch the show. It's a great point. Also, our good friend Kristen from Germantown says Todd K. Wham needs a no bullhorn sign.
So we'll, you know what we'll we'll try to work on that, and we may just have to craft a makeshift sign. But we'll keep you updated on our progress. You know that's what would happen. The guy would show up with all of his little protesters in tow. Unbelievable.
By the way, coming up at eleven o'clock today, we have a great show planned for you. Sean Hannity had the new White House press secretary on yesterday, Katie Zacharia. She, it was very clear to me that Hannity was told to go after her, and I'm going to explain all of that at 11 o'clock today, right here on the Body 990. Good luck to our Memphis Tigers as they take on the Green Wave of Tulane tonight. Good luck to all of our high school football teams in action across the mid south as well.
Been a lot of fun. I'm heading off to Los Angeles back on Monday. Folks, get out there. Have a great day, everybody. You be safe out there, Memphis.
