Granger for the ones who get it done. Live from the Liberty University Studio in Memphis, Tennessee, it's America's favorite gun-totin, Bible-clanging, deplorable American. That's right. Hello. Love is American.
Todd starts.
Well, hello, everybody. Welcome to the Todd Stearns Radio Show. Great to have you with us today. Uh wow, so we have some breaking news just to start out the show here. FBI Director Cash Patel.
There was a story that broke in the Atlantic a couple of days ago, a really nasty piece. And the reporters citing dozens and dozens of anonymous sources in this nasty hit piece. And the whole point of this was to take out Cash Patel, the FBI director. And the Atlantic claimed that Patel basically had a drinking problem. and that he was he was absent a lot.
So the headline, the FBI director is MIA, and there were just some really, really nasty allegations that were listed in the This story. They cited more than two dozen. And by the way, the author is Sarah Fitzpatrick. And she is one of these far-left radical propagandists. She's the one who tried to take out, if you remember, Brett Kavanaugh and the yearbook story, all of that stuff.
That was Sarah Fitzpatrick.
So she has a, she is a notorious. A hit woman when it comes to politics in Washington, D.C.
So anyway, uh the Atlantic posted this story. On Friday, and it said that they cited more than two dozen anonymous sources, nobody willing to go on the record. And she wrote that Patel's conduct had often alarmed officials at the FBI and the Department of Justice, and that he had earned a reputation for acting impulsively during high stakes investigations.
So Now we can tell you that Cash Patel has filed a $250 million lawsuit against the Atlantic and Ms. Fitzpatrick.
So he's suing both of them in U.S. District Court. And again, he's wanting $250 million in damages. Let me tell you something about the Atlantic. These people are nasty.
I mean, nasty people. They're demonic. These people hate conservatives. They hate Donald Trump. And their goal in life is to take out anybody who supports Donald J.
Trump.
Now I don't know if again, there have been lots of accusations against Cash Patel, but unless somebody's willing to come forward on the record with evidence, they're just that. They're just allegations, they're rumors. In his complaint, Mr. Patel, Mr. Patel, I'm reading from the New York Times piece that this literally just broke as we were coming on air.
mister Patel accused the defendants of publishing an article replete with false and fabricated allegations designed to destroy his reputation and drive him from office. mister Patel also said in the suit the Atlantic had published the article despite being expressly warned hours before publication that the central allegations were categorically false. In other words, They knew this hit piece was coming. And Patel tried to say, hey, look, guys, you don't want to go down this path.
Now ladies and gentlemen One of the big problems we have faced in this country is the media. And there's a new survey out, and we'll get to that in just a moment, but there is a new survey out showing that reporters are the least trusted people in America. And I'm not surprised in the very least. I mean, it is some ugly stuff. Ugly stuff.
Poll after poll after poll, a majority of Americans expressed low confidence in journalists. To act in the public's best interest. And I'm going to tell you why. And I don't mean to offend a lot of you Christian universities, but I'm throwing everybody into the mix here. Because nobody's doing a good job of training up the next generation of journalists.
What they have done. What they have done is raise up a generation of political activists. And even on the Christian school level, it is just as bad, if not maybe even worse, The level of journalism. I have to tell you this story.
So, years ago, right after I left Fox. I got a call, and I cannot tell you the name of the university. It was a prestigious. Christian University. And the president of the university called and said, Man, we're just so, so disgusted with what Fox did.
And we want you to come to our school and head up our journalism program. And I'm like, I don't have a master's degree. I can't do that. I don't have the qualifications. But they were really wanting me to come and head up this journalism program at this very prestigious Christian school.
And ultimately, I turn them down. That's not, I'm one of these guys. I know my lane. I know what I'm good at doing, and I know what I'm not good at doing. And so I try to stay in my lane.
And uh doing this show is one of the things I think we do a pretty darn good job of. I'm just telling you.
So no, I'm not boasting, Dylan. I'm just saying if you're good at something and you know you're good at something, that's called confidence. And I think we're pretty confident in what we do here on the radio.
So anyway, and the other thing is, Dylan, could you imagine me as Professor Stern's I'm trying to right now, actually. Would you wear like a bow tie or like a monocle or something? Oh, I'd wear the monocle. You got to have the monocle. Got the bow tie.
I'd have to wear like the what do you call the dress? The robe, the robe. Oh, the robe. Wow. Or a tweed.
I could have gone with a tweed. That's true. A pipe. You definitely have to have those. It's wisdom.
All right, students, Professor Stones, yeah. We shall speak of journalism. Professor, Professor Yes, young woman, what is your question? What makes you think a woman can't go there? I didn't.
You see, this is why I couldn't be a professional. Yeah, this is your. No, young lady, let the men speak first. I'd last three seconds.
So, anyway, I turned to, I said, thank you. It was very kind, very gracious. I may have to write about this story once because I just think it's pretty darn funny.
So, anyway, a couple of. A couple of months later. I was at the school. And I went by, and one of the staffers pulled me aside and was sort of laughing. He says, You're not going to believe this, but they have a huge journalism program, a huge broadcasting program at this particular school.
And I'm getting back around to Cash Patel, but bear with me. And this illustrates the problem with American journalism. And I said, Well, that's so funny. They said, Well, somehow word leaked out that you may be the dean of the School of Journalism at this particular university. And I said, Yes.
And I saw it, I turned it down. I mean, it was like a phone call, and it lasted all of maybe 90 seconds. And they said, well, word leaked out, and the entire faculty was horrified that a conservative might be leading their department. And at that moment, it told me everything I needed to know about the state of Christian journalism at some of these schools.
So, all that to say. It's bad. And I mean, I was personally honored that I triggered so many journalism professors. That was a great honor. I wear that as a badge of honor.
But in reality, What's happened is we've raised up this generation of young people And As a result of that, They are propagandists and they've turned their newsrooms into these propaganda centers. And I can actually. Take you back to the moment in time when it happened, and it was in the Washington Post newsroom. When Watergate happened. And from that point on, every single issue in our nation's capital became a Watergate issue.
Every single one of them. And it didn't matter if it was true or not. They just kept churning out scandal after scandal after scandal. And most of these scandals turned out not to be true.
So, I hope Cash Batel sues the living daylights out of these people, and I hope he wins. And I hope this Fitzpatrick chick I hope she's having to spend the rest of her days working as a cashier at a Wawa. That's what I hope for her. You know, at some point, you just have to make sure these people are suffering. Because that's their whole point, and what they write, they want people to suffer.
Now I want to give you an example. You say, well, Starge, what about you? No, I don't want people to suffer. I want them to do right. But I want to explain that.
Many of you get upset with me because, let's say, for example, there's a teacher doing something wrong, an anti-Trump teacher or whatever. I traditionally do not include the teacher's name. Unless they're doing something egregious. I usually leave the name out of it. Because I want to offer extend a little bit of grace.
Let me tell you something. These propagandists are nothing more than political assassins with bylines. That's who these people are. Political assassins with bylines. And they have tried to destroy every single person who says anything nice about Donald J.
Trump.
That's it.
So anyway, that's so good for you, Cash Patel. And I hope that he wins. And quite frankly, he needs to put the Atlantic out of business. That's what he needs to do. And again, ladies and gentlemen, if you're going to go out there and you're going to publish lies about someone, I think they should be able to do that.
Now, the question is. Will Cash Patel is Cash Patel a A public figure. And that could be the linchpin here.
Now, I want to tell you something: that people say a lot of stuff about me that's not true, they're lies. And I'm not allowed to go out there and sue them because I am considered a public figure. And as my attorneys tell me, that people are allowed to do that. And I don't think that's right. But that's.
That's the law right now. And it angers me it bothers me. But all I can tell you is That this Fitzpatrick girl, she is, she's one of the problems. And again, she is a political assassin. With a byline.
That's who these people are. All right, we have, man, we have got a lot of news. That again, the breaking news of the hour. A lot going on here. 901-260-5926 is our telephone number today.
That's 901-260-5926.
Now, let me just say this. I know there are a lot of conservatives like, well, you know, we just need to. We just need to move on. We just, you know, we don't need to be getting involved in these lawsuits. The media is going to be the media.
And I say horse honky with that. That's a load of grade A fertilizer. In my book, I say, do unto them as they have done to you. That is the political commandment. Do unto them as they have done to you.
And quite frankly, ladies and gentlemen, Quite frankly, It needs to be done. It needs to be done. I'm just tired of the reporters. I am. New York Times, all of 'em.
And they deserve what's coming. They every single one of them. And if that means they live in squalor for the rest of their lives, so be it. I'm done with these people. What the media has done in this country, what the media has done to this country, and what the media has done to good and decent conservatives and friends of mine.
I'm just telling you.
They deserve to be destroyed. And and live out their lives and I don't know, in some trailer park, in some godforsaken part of, I don't know, we'll ship them to Canada. But they're just evil, just evil. The question is, how do we fix it? And that is a good question, and that is something that we have been talking about within our crew: is how can we make a difference?
We have been very fortunate to raise up seven or eight wonderful journalists that are doing a wonderful job. But it's going to take a lot more effort to change what is broken in our nation's journalism program. And by the way, that's one of the reasons why so many newspapers are going out of business, so many TV stations and radio stations are either emerging or being bought out by the big corporate giants. That's the reason why. All right, geez, we've got to take a break here.
We've got to get to the war, the ceasefire. said to expire. We're going to get into that. A new Gallup poll shows forty two percent of American men under thirty say religion is very important. And we're going to be talking to a good friend of mine, Jeremiah Johnston, Right now, his new book number three on the New York Times bestseller list, and he's going to be coming in talking to us about that survey.
Also, a brand new book called The Jesus Discoveries. And it turns out that history proves that Jesus is real. And we're going to go through that as well. 901-2605-926. This is the Todd Starns show.
Hey, everybody, Todd Starns here. And I've got to tell you about my friends at PhD Weight Loss. My very good friends at PhD Weight Loss. I'm down 12 pounds already. And at PhD Weight Loss, they've identified that one thing and they built a plan that works with your body and not against it.

All right, welcome back, everybody. Pardon me. The uh the allergies, uh the uh the pollen here. It's um It's a bit unbearable today in Memphis, where we broadcast this program from.
So, look, President Trump. putting out some statements. I want to share this with you and curious to hear your thoughts on this.
So the deadline, the two week deadline, the so called ceasefire, it is officially up tomorrow, Tuesday. And of course, all you know what's been breaking loose over the weekend, the Iranians they tried to run the blockade. And God love our military. And the Navy's been running blockade since the days of John Paul Jones. And God love them because they gave warning after warning six hours.
They warned this ship not to run the blockade. And guess what happened?
Well, they ran the blockade.
So the Navy fired and took out the engine room, sent over the Marines, and they have now acquired the ship.
So the question is: what happens next? If the ceasefire, if the Iranians do not agree to the ceasefire, what do we do? And the president, look, I know a lot of people are all upset about this, but the reality is the president is playing a very strategic game here. There is a lot of necessary disinformation that is being broadcast, and that's all part of the plan. The Iranians don't know what Trump's going to do.
Nobody knows what Trump is going to do, and that's the whole point of this, because nobody needs to know until it actually happens. But there is Bloomberg now reporting that President Trump may, quite frankly, not extend the ceasefire. And I think that's actually a good move. Look, we've been down this path. And the Iranians cannot be trusted.
They are not men of their word. These are very bad, dangerous, evil people. And I say. You know, as soon as the ceasefire is over, let's just go ahead and wipe them out. I mean, do you really see this ending any other way?
Here's what I don't want to have are the drips and the drabs, and we're going to continue to extend the ceasefires because then you'll get into the summertime, and this will be a major issue on the campaign trail. And I say that because There's some new survey data out. And this survey data, they interviewed young Americans. These are Generation Z kids, and I would probably say young millennials.
So in the thirties, eighteen to the people in their thirties. and an overwhelming majority. Oppose Oppose our relationship with Israel. And that tells us a lot here as we're moving forward that these younger generations are not beholden to Israel as much as the older generations of conservatives are. That's going to be a problem for future presidents, but it could be a problem for this president when it comes to the midterms if, in fact, we are still engaged in hostilities.
So my recommendation, go in, get it done and get out. Otherwise, we're going to get pulled into something that we're going to have a hard time getting out of. 901-260-5926. Our telephone number, that's 901-260-5926. This is the Todd Stern Show.
Here's something most people don't know. When Warren Buffett was just 13 years old, he didn't put his money into a savings account. While other kids were earning next to nothing at local banks, Buffett put $114 into a little-known investment. Today, that $114 would be worth over $15 million. And it wasn't a risky trade, it wasn't even insider knowledge.
It was an account that's been around since 1888, and over the last 25 years, it's averaged 29% a year. That's what happens when your money is allowed to compound. Compare that to today's savings accounts, paying less than half a percent, while inflation quietly eats away at your buying power. Buffett understood early: banks are great businesses, just not for savers. If you'd like to see what some investors call the 29% account, go now to secret account 29.
That's secret account the numbers two nine dot com secret account twenty nine dot com And welcome back. This is the Todd Sterns radio show. I want to invite you, ladies and gentlemen, to go right now to Amazon, Barnes and Noble Books a Million, wherever you buy your books, and pre-order a copy of my new book. It'll be out in bookstores in May. It's called The Golden Age: How Trump Saved America.
And we have some wonderful endorsements, including President Trump and House Speaker Mike Johnson, a number of lawmakers around the country. And I hope you get a copy of this. It lays out the blueprint for where we go. After President Trump leaves office.
So be sure to get a copy. It's a celebration, but also a call to action for all freedom-loving patriots around the nation.
Well, I follow the Twitter feed and the social media feeds of our next guest. He is the lieutenant governor of Indiana, and he's a good Christian man. And he was invited to speak to high school kids last week, and his remarks have come under fire. And I wanted to, I thought, well, we got to get the lieutenant governor on. I can't imagine what in the world Micah Beckwith would say that would trigger.
School teachers and students there in Indiana. Lieutenant Governor, good to have you with us today. Hey, thanks, Todd. I appreciate the opportunity to come on and I appreciate all you're doing. You're a great voice for America, so keep it up.
Well, take us through what happened. You were at what uh Valp is at Valparaiso High School. You were speaking at a career fair. That's right. So I was at Valparaiso High School for speaking to about a thousand Juniors and seniors, all about Indiana jobs, what the great economy in Indiana is booming, how we've got high-tech industries, AI, drone technology, all these things that these young men and women could aspire to go into.
And it was all, if you ever listen to me speak, Todd, I'm a lot like you. I can get political and I can get heated, but this was one speech where I walked off the stage and I thought to myself, That was the most benign, like non-partisan speech I've ever said in my entire career. And so I was like, oh, I did a great job. And a couple students came up to me after the auditorium was people were exiting, and they were on the left. You could tell they had the blue hair and the piercings.
And they came up and they were pretty hostile, but they came right at, they pressed me and said, What do you believe on abortion? What do you believe on LGBTQ and trans? What do you believe on immigration?
So, you know, I answer them. I said, Abortion's murder. Transgenderism is a mental illness. If people are here illegally, get them out. You know, I mean, it's pretty basic stuff.
I said, I think it's common sense.
Well, then they went and they cried to their parents and the parents called the superintendent. Superintendent wasn't even there, and he issues this. Incredibly stupid statement. His name's Jim McCall, and he says, We're so sorry that we had the lieutenant governor who came in and he totally was inappropriate, shouldn't have said things that he said from the stage is what he's making it sound like. It was not clear that it was just.
With a few students off the stage. And then some parents got upset that I also had said something on the stage about God-given right or God-given skills, right? I said, Hey, you've got God-given gifts. And there are going to be things you can do with those gifts in all these different fields.
So I said, God. Um and that on that kicked them off too. And so it was just crazy. I left the school thinking, man, great career fair. It was awesome to see what was going on, thinking, you know, it was awesome.
It was a great day. And then within 15 minutes, there was a change.org petition already up saying, you know, Micah Beckwood should never be allowed to come back to Valparaiso High School. And it's like, oh my gosh, a government employee or government official went into a government school with government employees and spoke about jobs. And when asked about some of his political opinions from students off the stage, oh, dear God, he answered them. Oh, this is a terrible, terrible thing for America.
I mean, it's just insane, but that's our education system, unfortunately.
So I'm reading through this incredibly long diatribe written by Jim McCall, the superintendent. You got to love these guys. He's one of these guys that puts the PhD after his name. And he said, I want to go through this because he said that when you were introduced, your biography included a political phrase. That had no place in the school.
It should have been caught and removed by the staff. Do we know what that phrase was that triggered everybody? Yeah, so it was in my biography. If you pull it up on my website, it says, I'm passionate about one of my passions is training and raising up the next generation and pushing back on the woke agenda. Yeah.
So that was it. Woke agenda triggered this man to the point where he put out a statement. Just the word woke scared. I'm going to send him a helmet because I feel like. He needs to, you know, I don't want him to get hurt with other ideas or other words that might, you know.
You might send him something for his other Derry Air. I think he was a butt hurt as well here. I mean. My goodness.
So, and again, I just want to understand.
So, you give this speech, and then afterwards, the students come up to you, and they actually engaged you. Is that right? Exactly. It was not me engaging any students. It was, they beelined it right up to me.
Right up to me, and they said, you know, you could tell they had done their research on me, and they knew things I believed, and they just wanted to press me on it. And, you know, I think a couple of them had their phones out and were recording and everything like that. And actually, Jatoda, I enjoyed that. Like, I love that. I love, if you don't agree with me, come, let's dialogue.
You know, the Bible says, come, let us reason together. And I want to be able to, you know, hear your opinion and hear your thoughts. And I'll push back and give you my opinion. And, you know, as iron sharpens iron, so one man to another.
So that's, you know, and there was one point, and it was really cool. There was this one girl who came up. She was super hostile right at the beginning. And I sat down. I sat down on the stairs.
Right, I said, Hey, well, sit down next to me. Like, and so we sat down, a bunch of other kids were kind of huddled around us, and we started talking. And I start talking about uh the transgender issue. And I said, Listen, I love these people. I love people who struggle with that, but it is a mental illness.
And it was and and at one point, she actually started to Stop it. You could see her kind of be like, Okay, I get what you're saying. I get where you're coming from. And then some other people sort of jumped in, and then she started getting mad again. And she jumped up and said, I gotta leave because I'm getting too mad.
But it was almost like there was a tiny little breakthrough. I was like, Oh, she's getting it. And then, you know, then she didn't.
So why did they? What did they tell their parents? I don't understand here. They went up, and I guess they didn't like the opinion they heard. And so they went home to mommy and daddy?
Yeah. Yeah, because we had the reports we got were parents called in from some of these students and. And they said, you know, we don't like, you know, Micah Beckwood, I think one of the things was Micah Beckwith said transgenderism is a mental illness.
Well, that's what the medical association has been saying for many years. It's called gender dysphoria. I'm not saying anything that's not already out there in the medical field, but they didn't want to hear that. They said that was a very insensitive, intolerant thing to say to these students. And it's like, listen, I'm not going to affirm mental illness.
I don't care, you know, I don't care what you say to me. I'm not going to do it. And so, yeah, the parents called the school board and superintendent. And again, the superintendent wasn't even there. The teachers that were in the room, and I'll tell you this, the teachers were great.
The teachers were fantastic. And actually, the teachers felt really bad.
Some of these students were really disrespectful. And I gave them respect. I went to shake one student's hand, and there was a teacher right there. And the student wouldn't shake my hand. And I said, Well, why won't you shake my hand?
He said, Because I have no respect for you. I said, Okay, well, that's okay. I'm here. I'm happy to answer your questions. And the teacher afterwards told me, I am so embarrassed, I'm so sorry that.
You were treated that way. I said, Listen, it's okay. I said, But just understand that our schools now are really going downhill because. These students have never learned respect. They've never learned critical thinking.
And our public education system in Indiana is really, really bad, really bad, Todd. And we spend half of our entire state budget on education, and it's going to train up. Snowflakes who can't critically think and they can't reason and they certainly can't hear opposing viewpoints. And it's very, very concerning to me because the next generation will be leading our industries. Our schools and our nation someday, if we don't fix this and get it right, it's going to go terribly wrong for us in the future.
I think the thing that concerns me here is that Indiana is such a conservative state. It's a red state. You guys have great lawmakers. People, again, would be stunned to know that you guys have a, it looks like a woke education system there. We do.
It's the underbelly of the rot that's been happening in Indiana for the last 15 years. And it's the Marxist agenda. They know what to do. I mean, this is the playbook going all the way back to the 1940s. Get into the education system, begin to teach the teachers Marxism, and then begin to teach the students Marxism.
And so we are graduating. Our students, they don't know God. They don't understand God-given rights. They don't understand what our Constitution and our forefathers, how they built this nation. And so my concern is, yeah, we're a red conservative state right now, but give it about 15 years, and these students that are graduating have no clue up from down, right from wrong, and it's going to be really bad.
And that's why I've been sounding the alarm every day I get to just say our education system, we need to put God back in it. We need to put truth back in it. And again, that's the woke agenda we've got to push out of our schools. And I'm not going to stop saying it. I will shout it from every rooftop I'm on.
All right. We have Lieutenant Governor Micah back with Frontier. Great state of Indiana on our Patriot mobile newsmaker line today. And again, have you had any conversations at all with the superintendent? Did he reach out and try to say, oh, hey, what happened here?
Or did he just go ahead and release the statement without any context? totally released a statement without any context.
So when I now we waited for about twenty four hours from my office to put out a response because we like I told my team too, it's like, let's be wise about this. I got his number. I called him and left him a message and I texted him. um within like twice and and he he never responded. And so when he never responded, I said, All right, it's fair game, so let's go.
And so we've been and now my mission is. You know, to go after this guy, and we're going to highlight him as a weak leader. He's resigning, praise God. He came out a few weeks ago and said he was resigning, but he's going into the private sector. And I want to find out where he's going to go.
I'm going to highlight that job, that industry, and say this guy is a weak man. He got bullied by a bunch of teenagers to do something stupid. I don't think any corporate America CEO would want him on your team because if he can get bullied by blue-haired, you know, nose-ring teenagers, then he's probably not going to do much to add value to your company. And this is the problem. I have very little patience, Todd, for weak men.
I just, it drives me up a wall. I do not like weak men. And we have an epidemic of weak men in America right now. And Jim McCall is the poster child for that right now in Indiana. I'm just going to tell you, I'm 58, so I come from a different generation.
Back when I was in grade school and even in middle school and high school, if you did something like that, if you had a high-level official coming in or a guest of any status coming in, To your school, and you, and those kids did to that speaker what they did to you. I'm telling you, those kids would have been lined up at the principal's office for a couple of licks. With the paddle. I mean, but again, I'm old school and that's how they used to handle things back in the day. But we didn't have this kind of stuff because mom and dad actually taught you how to behave at home before you ever showed up in school.
Yeah, I mean, it's the inmates running the asylum right now. I mean, I think principals and superintendents like Jim McCall are more scared of the students. Than the students are of them, right? Like, I think, and the students know that. That's the crazy thing.
The students know there's not one thing a teacher can do to them. They can be as disrespectful, they can be as arrogant, they can be as. Just vile, they can use all kinds of inappropriate language, and there's nothing the schools can do to them. And so these kids know that. There's no consequences.
And unfortunately, we are coddling these kids, creating snowflakes, like what I saw up in Valparaiso with those handfuls of students. And they're going to go out in the real world and they're going to get hit with a ton of bricks when they meet people like me or you that actually stand our ground. We don't get pushed around. And they're not going to know what to do with that. And then they lash out like little children because they're still little children.
They might be 27-year-olds, but they're still little children emotionally. And we need our schools to teach students. Students, how to critically think and how to be emotionally mature, not emotionally weak. And that's just not happening in our schools right now. All right.
Well, we're going to continue the conversation tonight. I know you're going to be on my Newsmax TV show. Great job, though, in how you responded to all of this. And again, we've got to call this out every single time. We've got to call this out, and we've got to make sure these people are held accountable.
I'm glad you said that, Todd. And last thing I'll say real quickly, if I can, that the reason people have said, well, why are you going after him so hard? I said, because this is the chilling effect. That he just created for many other schools. Do you think I'm ever going to get called back in to speak at a job fair after this?
No way. Schools will say, oh, we don't want that type of fight. Do you think any conservatives will come back in, will be called in to speak? No, because they see what happened because just 12 students made a stink, and now this will be a chilling effect for conservative, Christian, good people to get in and speak. And that's why we have to go after the Jim McCalls because this will now leave an everlasting impact if we don't stop it.
And we've got to stop this. We've got to say, hey, views should be welcome. Let's have differing opinions and let's not be afraid of somebody else's ideas just because they're different than yours. And so I appreciate you highlighting this and making it on a national stage because it's very, very important to Indiana and to the nation.
So thank you. All right. Thank you, Mr. Lieutenant Governor. Lieutenant Governor Micah, back with everybody, and he will be with us tonight, 5 o'clock Eastern on Newsmax.
All right, 901-260-5926. Our telephone number, that's 901-260-5926. I would bet dollars to donuts. Dollars to donuts, Dylan. Those kids causing a stink were either members of the theater club.
or the LGBT club. I'm putting some Gibson's doughnuts on the line. All right, gotta take a break. We'll be right back. They always look out for each other and for you too.
They're your eyes, they show you the world. Take good care of them. For your best eyes for life, visit preventblindness.org slash best eyes. Ah All right, let's go to the phone lines. Mark in Bartlett, Tennessee, listening to us on KWAM.
Hi, Mark. What's on your mind today? Hey, God, I just had a comment about the C-Spot. I tried to read the Koran. I didn't make it all the way through.
But I'm a Christian. But according to their religion, they are supposed to lie to us. to cheat us to deceive us. They are supposed to, they are commanded. By there.
Profit. To do these things, we can't trust anything they say. The only thing they respect is foul. And if Trump Is the man he will go in there and destroy them? And the rest of the region is with us.
So, I don't think that we should make another ceasefire with them. All they're doing is trying to find a way to rearm.
Well, that's my big concern, Mark, is what they're doing during the ceasefire. And look, we have so many eyeballs over there.
So I certainly think that President Trump knows, the military knows exactly what the Iranians are up to. It does appear that the government structure over there is incredibly fractured, and nobody really knows who's in charge right now. We will soon find out because, again, the deadline is tomorrow, and President Trump has laid down the law here.
So the president is a very wise man, Mark. And I believe that at the end of the day, he's going to make a decision that everybody eventually will be very happy with. I completely agree. The President is Always right. In my opinion, they can say what they want, they can be pro-delusional, whatever.
The man is always 10 steps ahead of everybody. I think he knows exactly what he's doing. Yeah. Well, as a matter of fact, 60 Minutes last night actually acknowledged that President Trump was right and that the Iranians were very close to being able to create and have enough plutonium to build not one, but I think it was 10 or 11 nuclear weapons.
So at the end of the day, Trump is always right. And sometimes you go into a situation and you're like, well, I don't know about that, Mr. President. But I've learned over the years, Mark, just step back. Let the president do his job, and it always works out in the end.
And I think that's what's going to happen here as well. Mark, I've got to run. Thank you for that call. Hang tight, everybody. 901-260-5926.
We're going right to your calls after the break. That's 901-260-5926.
This is the Todd Stern Show. Live from the Liberty University Studio in Memphis, Tennessee, it's common sense conservative commentary from Todd Starn. But I love Love is American. Anybody remember school lunches? Hello, everybody.
Welcome to Hour Two of the Big Show. I'm Todd Stearns. Great to have you with us.
Now, depending on where you grew up, your school lunches. We're probably not all that good, right? You had the infamous mystery meat. Yeah, you always had the. There was one point where ketchup was actually considered a vegetable.
Dylan, I was curious when you were in high school, did you partake of the school lunches there at what's South Haven High School? Yeah, South Haven High School. I actually brought a peanut butter and jelly sandwich every single day to school. Oh, yeah? But when they had the chicken sandwiches for the school lunches, I did.
However, steal some of those from my classroom. Oh, is that right? Yes.
Okay, well, nothing wrong with that. Nothing, no.
So it was that was a good, it was a good sandwich. That in particular was pretty good. I never had anything else. I know they had pizza, and yes, the mystery meat.
So when we were in school, I don't remember much. I just remember the school lunches not being all that great, except for pizza day, where I don't know if you guys, if this may have just been my school, but we would get the pizzas on the tray.
So in other words, it was like a square pizza. Yeah, we had the hexagon pizza. The hexagon.
Okay. It fit perfectly in the tray. It did. It just right there and just plop it down. Then we moved to Louisiana.
And I'm just going to say this, and it will cause controversy. The school lunches in Louisiana were far better than those in Mississippi and Tennessee. And we would have stuff like jambalaya and just all sorts of great food, and a lot of it. And they made the rolls, they had homemade rolls. And there was something about a homemade roll.
I don't know what. But anyway, they just really put a lot of emphasis on the food in in Louisiana. Then there was the weird thing on Friday. You know, most of the kids down there in Louisiana were Catholic, and I guess they still are Catholic. And on Fridays you're not allowed to eat meat, so we always had to eat like fish.
So we had like catfish on on or fish sticks on Fridays. Never could understand that. I'm a Baptist. We eat everything all the time.
So, the reason why I ask this is that there's a bit of controversy regarding school lunches, and somebody sent me this survey they found on social media. About whether pork should be removed from school menus and out of respect for Muslim students. And I thought, what? I have not heard of that, but there are a number of school districts around the country where that is now becoming an issue. Let's go to Dearborn, Michigan, for example.
All of the food served in the public school cafeterias is now compliant with Islamic laws.
So that means all of the food has to be halal-approved.
Now, all of that happened back in 2019. That's when they started, and they said that serving halal meat. was not really just about religion. They say that halal food is actually healthier than what other religious faiths consume. And Dylan, the reason I'm laughing is somebody attached a video.
That showed how they make How they make hamburgers in India. With uh feet. Oh no, that's I just like Yeah.
So if I'm going if I'm going over there, just don't order the hamburger. Yeah. Not my first thought, but yeah, I'm definitely taking note. Yeah. I'm sorry.
Anyway, I can't confirm that. Are they smushing? They're smushing. Yeah, so they're smashing with their feet. Is this like a smash burger, but you put your foot on?
Yes, it's a foot smash burger. Yeah. Here's the thing, and I don't mean this in a bad way, but if it's a cheeseburger, would the cheese get like gummed up in between your toes? I don't know how they deal with that. Maybe they use the toe cheese as the.
And again, with AI, and it may be completely AI. I have no idea what they do. And I want to judge other people.
Well, what's the one that the Ugandans? Yeah. They eat with their hands. Oh, yes. We saw that with Mamdami.
Yeah, yeah. They eat the hot food with the hands. I don't get that. Ouchie.
So, anyway, they say that halal food is actually healthier than what all of you Baptists and Methodists are eating. Then Portland, Oregon has now announced they are serving halal meals for students, and New York City has a halal food program dedicated exclusively to serving the Muslim children.
So, look, I'm just surprised here because all of these schools have been so adamant that we've got to, God can not be anywhere near. A public school facility. And yet they're just rolling out the red carpet here for the Islamic kids. I just don't get that.
So, anyway, oh, there's another school, and we told you about this. In Nashville, where two schools are now just going above and beyond to not only accommodate but force other students to celebrate the Muslim holidays. And now comes word that a school district in the northwest suburbs of Minneapolis, this is Park Center Senior High School, has announced a remodeling project, and they're going to be adding a prayer room at the public school and foot washing stations. At another school. You can't make this up.
And no, Dylan, that's not for the foot washing Baptists. No, no, that's the Muslim tradition.
So they got to wash their feet. I guess after making the burgers, you know, it's I don't know. That could be AI. It can't be real. I don't want to know.
Let me tell you something. Whenever I go overseas, Which is like never. But if I were to go overseas, I'd be packing like the little protein bars. Protein bars and bottled water. Cliff bar.
That's it.
I'm good. What's what's your second bag, sir? It's my breakfast, lunch and dinner. I will say this though, when we were in Israel, Um, you know, you got the acid reflux. I'm in the south, everything's fried.
What do you want me to do?
So, I'm over in Israel, and I notice something right away: the food is just unbelievably delicious. And I realized after like two days, no acid reflux, no indigestion, nothing because of the I guess the purity of the ingredients over there. It was really, really a great experience. But I wouldn't try that any other place. I am so particular.
So now you've got these schools. This is Park Center High School and OCO Senior High School, both now including prayer rooms and foot washing stations. They say they were included after hearing from user groups on student needs. I'm sorry, but where did the Baptist kids get to go and have their prayer meetings? What room does that happen in?
I'm just curious.
So look, I got to thinking about this whole ban on pork. And Dylan, I don't think that's going to go over well here in Memphis, Tennessee. It would go very poorly. I'm just going to tell you, I don't think those southern states are going to comply. We actually may protest if that happens here.
That's a no-no for the South. No, I think we would take up arms. I really do. We're talking about. We would pick up ribs.
That's right. Fully eaten ribs. Give me pulled pork or give me death. I think, and I think we would secede from the union rather than give up our pork butts. I think that's where we are on this.
Yeah, I don't think we're going to be doing that here in Memphis. We're like, we're going to take a pass. Good luck. Yeah. Oh, geez a load.
All right, let's go to the phone lines. 901-2-60-5926. Do you, ladies and gentlemen, have a problem with this outright accommodation that's happening? At public schools around the nation for the Islamist. 901-260-5926.
Let's go to the phone lines. Jerry in. Iowa on KXEL. Hi, Jerry. What's going on?
Uh brothers Todd and Dylan. Thanks for the Feetberger story. I have a comment and a question. When I was growing up, us kids, we were taught that Israel is a good and decent country. The Jews are good and respectful and Every bo single book in the New Testament was written by a Jew, and Jesus is a Jew.
So, what's not to like? And so, to that, yesterday at church, I wore a yarmulke in my church. I'm a Christian. And I did so because I just wanted to promote Jews in Israel. And our entire congregation bowed our heads and prayed for Jews in Israel.
And we did the same thing in Sunday school. And then after church, a couple of us of us, we put on MAGA hats And we went down to Des Moines and we had a delicious kosher meal At a Jewish deli, and it was a lot like Israel. Like you said, healthy food, really tasty. And we're probably going back next Sunday another church with another pastor. And why is it that for twenty years, Qatar has been pumping four billion dollars into American universities, and they're the one they helped promote this river to the sea mentality.
And so now we're supposed to do the opposite of what how I was taught as a Christian child to respect Israel, And So my question is When are we going to resume teaching American children? That Israel and Israel is a good democracy. It's where we get Western civilization. and that the Jews are good and decent people. They are not conspiratorial monsters.
When are we going to resume that and reverse what Qatar has done to us?
So you think it is are you saying it is Qatar, Jerry? You've been able to like drill down and that's that's where all of the anti-Israel stuff is coming from? That is a fair question. I don't have the information right now. Good you called me on that.
I have looked into it in the past. I don't have notes on that. But My understanding is Qatar from multiple I like to hear it from multiple sources I trust. But that's a good challenge for me. Yeah, go ahead.
Let's all look that up and find out. My understanding is $4 billion. Have come from Qatar over the last twenty some years and to the university and promoted all these Islamic. organizations that have popped up and all this anti-Israel.
So Fair question. Yeah, look, I mean, I think the numbers go from $4 to $6 billion. And most of that money is, like you said, going to universities here, a lot of the Ivy Leagues.
So it is certainly possible that, you know, the influence is happening there. And then it's just what are kids learning about in the classroom? I just, and I don't mean this in a bad way. I just, I think back to when I was that age, Jerry, as a. I know, a fifteen, sixteen, seventeen year old.
I don't think I was that clued in. On what was happening with Israel. I probably didn't know much about Israel at the time from a political standpoint.
So I wonder if most of this indoctrination is coming out of the classroom more so than any other place. Of course, now, with the advent of social media, that. You know, that has certainly got some sort of play in this.
Well, us kids were taught that the disciples were Jewish, that Jesus was Jewish, That Israel is Where the Bible comes from. And so we, in my world, as kids and my other kids here in Iowa. My grandmother taught us. That, yeah, the Jewish people were, yeah, there was that issue with the priests and Jesus, but for the most part, this is where our civilization comes back from.
So, we, I most definitely was. given a favorable image. For Israel and Jews, and I wish we would put that in the schools instead of promoting Islam. I mean, what is wrong with us? that we're gonna side with the the Takiyah Muslim problem That's where how we started our Marines in 1776 because they were boarding our ships.
So, Israel or U.S. is a Judeo-Christian. nation and I was always taught that that The Jews in Israel were the good guys, especially since 1948. The U.S. and Israel, we are best friends right now, not Canada, not England.
And support your local deli. And they're wonderful people, and the food is so healthy and tasty, just like in Israel, just like you said.
So yeah, let's start teaching our kids that The Jews are the good guys. Israel is our friend. They're not the bad guys. Yeah, Jerry, I think you've made your point, Aaron. I've got a break here.
But again, this is an education process. I mean, it really is.
So once again, as we say on this program, it all goes back to education. It all goes back to what is happening in your local schools, both public and private. And if the school has an anti-Semite teacher or a Jew-hating teacher or faculty, well, that's what's going to happen with your kids.
So you've got to pay very close attention to what is being taught in those classrooms. All right, we do have to take a break here. 901-260-5926 is our telephone number. That's 901-260-5926.
This is the Todd Stern Show. And this segment of the Todd Stearns Radio Show brought to you by our friends at Newsmax. Did you know 70 million Americans collect Social Security benefits, but 70% of Americans are not getting the full benefits they deserve? And we've got a solution for that.

I want to go to what's happening in Virginia because there is a mess there right now. The voter turnout they anticipate is going to be low for tomorrow's election. This is a huge election, and here's the reason why: voters will determine whether or not the Republican Party will be able to survive. It's that simple. This is all about redistricting.
And if you're listening to us in Virginia, tomorrow, the only thing you need to know is vote no. It doesn't matter how the how the referendum item reads, vote no. Here's former Governor Glenn Youngkin, cut number nine. 2016 when Eric Holder, right when he got out of the Obama administration, started the Democrat Redistricting Commission. And then in 2022 and again in 2024, they pressed to pick up seats in New York.
But with all that said, it's about Virginia. And Virginia in 2020 held a constitutional referendum, amended our Constitution to have nonpartisan, independent redistricting. Two-thirds of Virginians said we want politics out, politicians out. And now we have Abigail Spamberger saying she's going to ignore the voice of Virginians, override them, and try to adopt the most gerrymandered map in America. Today we have what is assessed as the fairest map in America.
I don't love it. It's six Democrats and five Republicans, but it's fair. And she wants to override it and turn it into the most gerrymandered map in America. It's wrong. Virginians should stand up and vote no tomorrow.
Do you think that Republicans, or even I understand that there are some Democrats who don't like this either, is there a chance that this might not happen? There is a chance, and that's because it is viewed as being such a gerrymandered grab of power, and they've lied to us. I mean, even the Washington Post came out and said that this is the most brazenly dishonest campaign from the yes vote, and they effectively endorsed the no vote, the Washington Post. And Virginians understand this. And so what we're seeing is not only Republicans coming together, but Independents and a lot of Democrats.
So this is going to be close. Listen, it's an uphill battle because they have poured $70 million into this. That's more than they spent on the governor's race in a very short period of time to try to fool, deceive, and trick Virginians. But the reality is a no vote. is for the fairest maps in America.
And well, he's absolutely right about that.
So, again, all of you Virginia listeners, get out there, bring your neighbors, vote no, and stop this Democrat takeover. All right, we've got to take a quick break here: 901-260-5926. This is the Todd Stern Show. All right, coming up tonight on the Todd Stern Show on News, Max Ben Ferguson's going to drop by. Also, we're going to be talking to a guy who got fired.
Because he refused to take off his cross necklace. The American Center for Law and Justice now representing the guy. We're going to have the guy and his attorney on. That is going to be a terrific, terrific conversation coming up this evening, 5 o'clock Eastern on the Todd Stern Show on Debbie. News, Max.
A very interesting survey, Adam, and quite frankly, one that I hope you find to be encouraging. The number of young men attending church is on the rise. This is All revealed in a new survey by Gallup, and they do a great job of polling. They've been around for a very long time. They say 42% of men ages 18 to 29 say that religion is very important to them, which is a sharp increase from the previous data point when just 28% of young men said religion was very important.
So there's something going on here. What I especially find interesting is that an overwhelming majority of these young men happen to be Republican.
So they're not godless heathens. There you go. I mean, if you're looking for evidence, you've got it. I want to go to the Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line, and we are honored to have a very special guest. He is a good friend.
He is one of the pastors there at Preston Wood Baptist Church near Dallas, the pastor of Apologetics and Cultural Engagement. And he has written a new book. And this book called The Jesus Discoveries is flying off the bookshelves all over America. Two weeks now on the New York Times bestseller list, breaking all sorts of records out there. Dr.
Jeremiah Johnston joins us. Dr. Johnston, good to have you with us. My scholar and gentleman friend, Todd, it's great to see you and be with you on your amazing radio network. Thanks for having me.
We've got so many cool things to talk about.
Well, we do. And what we're going to do is, Dr. Johnston, we're going to put you on a hole for just a second, and we're going to try to get some audio issues worked out. And guys, just let me know when we can do that. We may have to switch to phone.
But my apologies for that. But again, Dr. Jeremiah Johnston, and he's written a great book that shows through a very creative way. That The history of Jesus, you know, a lot of people say, well, you know, Jesus really didn't exist, or he was a nice guy, and, you know, he was just a good person. Uh when in reality, ladies and gentlemen, We know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
And we also know That history proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that not only did Jesus exist, but all of the things revealed in Holy Scripture can be verified through historical data.
So this is it's a terrific book. And again, I think number three on the New York Times bestseller list.
So well done, Dr. Johnston. And we'll get to that conversation in just a moment. I think we're switching over to the phone lines right now. But going back to this survey.
There is something going on here in this country, and I think that is a good thing. According to the Gallup data, since 2023, church attendance has risen seven points among young Republican men and eight points among young Republican women, and only three points among young Democratic men. You can read that. Those are the stats. That's the data.
So, all that to say, young people going back to church, that is a good thing in this country. All right, I think we've reestablished contact with Dr. Johnston. And again, congratulations on this great new book that you wrote.
Well, thank you. And I just think it's scratching where people are itching. Todd, you do this every day, eight days a week, but we are tired of people insulting our intelligence as conservatives. And what's really cool is we are living in the most exciting time in history to be a follower of Jesus. There is more evidence at our fingertips right now, Todd, that proves not only that Jesus died and rose again, but also validates all of his ethical claims.
And what I wanted to do was simply just answer a question that I'm a dad of five and I have four sons.
So I'm keenly interested in what you're sharing about young men coming back to church. And the reason is, is we're actually not insulting their intelligence anymore. We're saying we believe you not only know how to think, but you want to love God with your heart, soul, and mind. And my children said, Dad, you've got to write a book about everything we can know about Jesus, but you can't use the Bible. Not because, of course, we love the Bible, we love the Word of God, but their skeptical friends are on TikTok all day long and have brain rot.
They need to know that there's actually evidence for the Christian worldview. And of course, when I spoke at the World Economic Forum, this is what I said, Todd. I said, you know, I was working with the people. I think they're going to work with the Antichrist someday, just so you know, they need the gospel too, brother. True.
I told him at the World Economic Forum that the event horizon of Western civilization and free enterprise, make no mistake, is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. And so I wanted to write a book where, in about three hours of reading, You would be able to give the best evidence for Jesus without even having to open your Bible. And it turns out the evidence is overpowering and it's life-changing.
So, is it life-changing? I mean, do you have you had those experiences of people who were doubters and they see this historical evidence and they convert? Hold my diet coke while I tell you, Todd, if you don't mind. Let me get the launcher out. Yes, thousands are coming to Christ because.
They realize that the evidence is so powerful, it demands their life, it demands their commitment. That the fact that the best established fact of the ancient world is that Jesus rose from the grave on April 5th, A.D. 33. We're seven years away, by the way, from the 2000th anniversary of the actual day of Jesus' resurrection. And that truth.
Has a power because it gives people hope. And that's what I want my book to do. And Todd, I do need to ask your permission. I need your help. My book right now is number two overall in all books on Amazon, not just nonfiction, not just every single book.
I'm duking it out with Ryan Gosling's. Project Hail Mary and some vampire romance. I have no idea how many people buy novels.
So I need your audience's help. Use the Jesus discoveries, buy it on Amazon and use it as a great evangelism tool to tell people that Jesus is alive. Yeah, I love that. And yeah, we can't have gosling showing you up like that.
So we've got to get that. Are you kidding? I have two questions of fur and I mean, I really have a lot of questions. But number one, I'm sorry, how does a Baptist preacher get invited to the World Economic Forum? I'm curious about that story.
Isn't that amazing?
Well, this is really cool. Rich Strombach, who is known as mister Davos, had a conversion experience in twenty twenty two. He used to do billionaire hot tub parties, never left his penthouse. And he had a conversion. And, Todd, I'm called as an apologist, as you know, but maybe some of your audience may have heard that word for just the first time.
It doesn't mean I apologize for anything, it means I give a defense for the faith. And we've done so many videos on YouTube that have gone viral about the evidence for the resurrection, the evidence for Jesus. I use coins, I use crucifixion nails, I use all kinds of fun stuff. And Mr. Strombach got his hands on a video I did recently, and he called me and he said, Whatever it takes, you're going to be the first faith speaker in the history of Davis.
Which, of course, was started by the corrupt Klaus Schwab, and then they had to get rid of the most recent president. He was in the Epstein files. And guess what, Todd? Jillian Tett, who is on the editorial board of Financial Times, she interviewed me in the Washington. I'm not making this up.
The Washington Post sponsored my faith session. I mean, what world are we living in? That's how much hope people need right now. And I didn't hold back. And guess what?
They've invited me to come back and lead the faith section now, which we actually have a faith section at West now beginning. I'm happy to announce on your program in January of 2027. Oh, that's well, that is tremendous. I mean, what you're saying is happening. It's not just America either.
And it's 85% men at Davos. They're hungry for truth. They're hungry for evidence. And that's what I think we need to keep giving people. And that's why your shows are so successful.
That's what you do every day. You know, I go back in time to the early days of J.D. Rockefeller and, you know, one of the wealthiest men in America, who also, and again, his politics were a little squirrely, but he was a devout Christian man. He helped start a Baptist church and Baptist Sunday school in New York City and started seminaries and really invested his money in sharing the gospel. And I think that's so vitally important for there was a time when Christian businessmen, especially, were at the forefront of the gospel movement.
And that needs to happen again. That's what excites me about this, your appearance at the World Economic Forum. You know what's sad though, Todd, what is a commentary, if you don't mind me mentioning something transparent with you with your audience. Do you know how many Christians had turned down mister Strombach they were too afraid to go to WEF? I was not the first one he asked.
Really? And so we have to get some grit. We have to take the gospel seriously. We have to take truth seriously enough to share it no matter the cost. No, well, you're absolutely right about that.
And again, this, you know, I understand how important your book is because you tackle some of the big questions. And one of them, which I'm really fascinated by, is the Shroud of Turin, which the last we heard was disproved back in what, the 1980s, that it was medieval. But you found something else. The data behind the Shroud of Turin. And again, it's important for the audience to know, I used to be a complete skeptic of the Shroud.
I wrote an entire book called Body of Proof and never even mentioned the Shroud because I thought it was a Catholic relic, and I didn't think it could be tested with the sciences. But then I reached out to Barry Schwartz, who literally gave the TED talk on the Shroud of Turin. He was a Jewish person who was part of the original scientific team that studied the shroud. Took him 17 years after he studied the shroud to believe it was authentically Jesus's burial shroud. And what convinced him is: Are you ready for me to blow your mind and red-pill you on this shroud?
I'm prepared. Are you ready to become a shroudy?
Okay, I need you to become a shroudy now. Let me just machine gun validator. Kind of weird, but go ahead. Yeah. Yeah.
The shroud. You're a shroudy now, so you're getting ready to be.
So at any rate, type AB human blood, Semitic blood, blood that's been traumatized is on the shroud. The carbon dating has been utterly shown to be a complete fabrication. There's a journal of the 2019 Journal of Archaeometry that shows that the samples that they use to quote unquote carbon date the shroud to the medieval era are not homogenous with the shroud itself. That means they used patched or contaminated samples. They didn't even use an actual part of the shroud that was not contaminated.
And then when you do the correspondence of how much light it took, because what the shroud is, we have a lot of burial shrouds. I mean, I've seen many of them from the land of Israel. We have only one shroud that has an image of a crucified man on the front and back. The image, Todd, is superficial. It's one-fifth.
The size of a piece of one of your hairs on your head. That's how thin it is, 0.02 microns. And so science can't reproduce this. C.S. Lewis kept a picture of the shroud.
in his bedroom, where every day he would wake up, he would look and he would say, Wow, my God has a face, and that's the face of Jesus in the shroud. And when you look at it, I went to turn Italy to see the shroud. I met with the physicist. This is what will blow your mind. The amount of energy it took to leave an image on the shroud without scorching it, according to Paula DeLazaro, and I write all about this in the Jesus Discoveries.
thirty four billion watts of energy, four times the amount of power we have on Earth, But what's wild about it is the speed at which it traveled, one fortieth of a billionth of a second. And that's the power that generated Jesus' body coming back to life, according to physicist Paulo DeLazaro.
So that's why the mathematician Bruno Barbara said, doctor Johnston, there is a one in two hundred billion chance it is not Jesus of Nazareth based on the science.
So I believe this route is authentic, Todd, because I'm not irrational. Dr. Jeremiah Johnston is joining us. He's the author of the New York Times best-selling book, The Jesus Discoveries, and you're going to want to get a copy of that. In your conversations with people that just are not quite there yet, is there one thing that really you've noticed really convinces people that, yes, Jesus is real?
Yes, without a doubt. It's the impact that Jesus makes. Everywhere the gospel is brought. And this is, Todd, where your intersection of scholarship, commentary on culture, we all know that the Jesus movement is the greatest force for good on planet Earth right now. And I could talk to you about all of the intellectual reasons.
And I paid all these archaeologists. There's so many photographs in my book. I pride myself that my nine-year-old son was reading the book to me. Even though I'm a scholar, I write, as C.S. Lewis said we should, in the cultural vernacular, in the understandable language.
And I think what is the best apologetic of Christianity right now and why young men are coming back to the church is everywhere the gospel goes, humans are rehumanized. The Christian worldview is the X factor that builds the dominant themes, the building blocks, the amenities, the freedoms that you and I enjoy. Those don't come from Marxism. They don't come from socialism. They don't come from atheism or agnosticism.
They come from one worldview, the biblical Judeo-Christian worldview. And that's really the one thing that the book drives. That is because you can know about these discoveries and you should. Believers do need to know about that. We should talk about how so many believers go to AI or Google instead of God's Word.
I want Christians to up their intellectual game, but the payoff of the book, and the payoff more so, is. When you realize that Jesus rose from the grave, you're going to live every day with a living hope. That's 1 Peter 1:3. And then, guess what? Romans 16:1, there's an argument after Paul goes off on 58 verses on the resurrection.
He says, Guess what? We've got to take an offering. People are suffering.
So there's an argument in my book that goes directly from knowing these things to the argument for Christian ethics to make a difference in the world. And that's what Christianity, that's where we really flex our muscles about how we take care of the poor, the innocent. We love people. We pray for our enemies. We love our enemies.
That is a message that we need today now more than ever. I I have two other questions for you. We're going to get you back home because there's so much more we need to do do a deep dive in. But I do have a couple of questions. You're at the World Economic Forum at Davos.
Did you stay at the Hampton Inn, you know, because of the free breakfast? I'm just curious.
You know what? Even the Hampton Inn would be $60,000 a night at Davos. It's ridiculous.
So next year, I will be closer to Mr. Strombach and his compound, but I actually didn't know what to expect. And I had security with me, and we decided it was best to just take the train in and out every day from Zurich.
So it was a beautiful two-hour train ride to kind of decompress and actually a lot of great conversations.
So you can actually stay in Zurich. Todd, you just need to come with me in January and speak at the Faith Forum with me now. I am there. Invitation accepted. Final thought.
I just want to throw this out there.
Next book, The Masters Discoveries. I'm trying to figure out how so many pastors get those exclusive tickets to the Masters at Augusta Nashville. I am too. I am too. You know, they must know someone.
I don't know. I just was preaching, serving the Lord that weekend, and all I know is there were no rental cars anywhere in Georgia because I was in Georgia with my tour. None whatsoever. All right, Dr. Johnston, congratulations on the new book.
Folks, get a copy of it, The Jesus Discoveries. We're going to get you back on soon, but congratulations again on the great success. Thanks for your support, Todd. Keep going, man. You're awesome.
All right. There you go, everybody. Jeremiah Johnson. What a great church, by the Preston Wood Baptist Church. If you're in the Dallas Metroplex, you got to go by and check them out.
Got to take a break. We'll be right back. All right, President Trump now warning that the bombs are going to fall if Iran does not agree to a permanent ceasefire. The president is saying bombs start going off once the ceasefire expires on Tuesday. Here's the question.
Should the president Call it a day and go ahead once the ceasefire is over and start the bombing, or do we try to work out another ceasefire? The president making a statement during an interview with PBS News. And he was asked what will happen if the deadline is reached Tuesday without a peace deal. He said, Then the bombs, lots of bombs, start going off. When asked about the status of the peace talks in Pakistan, he said, I simply don't know.
We shall see. We shall see, ladies and gentlemen. By the way, the president also says Israel did not talk him into the Iran war. All right, 901-260-5926. This is the Todd Starrings Radio Show.
Live from the Liberty University Studio in Memphis, Tennessee, it's America's conservative blowtorch. That's us, that's right. I love This American In rise. Time. Star.
Well, hello everybody. Welcome to hour three of the big show. Great to have you with us.
Our telephone number, 901-260-5926. That's 901-260-5926.
And the last half hour of the show, we were so honored to have our good friend, Dr. Jeremiah Johnston, with us. He has a brand new book out, New York Times bestseller, number three, two weeks in a row, called The Jesus Discoveries. And a lot of people are just, they have a lot of questions. There's a lot of anxiety in the world right now.
And people are returning to the church.
Now, the question is, what are they going to find when they go back to that church? And you need to make sure you're going to a Bible believing church. And not one of these woke churches that's got some, I don't know, some chick with purple hair. Singing about rainbows from the pulpit.
So you got to make sure you're going to a good church. I want to go to the phone lines here. Chris from Asheville, North Carolina, listening to us on WHKP, was listening to that conversation. Hi, Chris. What's on your mind?
Hey, Todd, how are you doing? I'm good. Thank you for asking. God always leads me in the right direction. I don't listen to you every day, and I got errands to run and stuff.
And I don't like to be distracted, but it was a good thing for me to tune in. to Jeremiah Johnson. I was tickled to death. And I can um I'm gonna tell you about an experience I had. I had a woman at work.
That had been talking to me and questioning me about my belief in the church I was going to. Chris, can I ask you to do me a favor? Do you have the radio on in the background? Yeah. If you don't mind, just turn that off.
Yeah, so we're getting a little bit of a feedback. My apologies, but go ahead and. No, no, no, you're good. You're good. Go ahead and finish your story.
we were talking and I was answering her questions and this other lady walked up and she goes, I don't think you should be talking about that at work. And I raised my hand in the air and I said, I do. I think I should be shouting it from the rooftops. And she walked away. And now I have had another experience, a new friend.
Um she's not the same color as I. But uh She we were talking about something, and she said, You know that Jesus and God. did not really exist. It's just a myth. I said, well, you know what?
I'm sorry, I don't agree with you.
So we have to have another conversation about that. What do you think I should do? Should I bring it up again? Do I try to convince her or What is your advice? Sure.
Well, pardon me. And this is all happening on the work site? No, this new friend.
Well just an acquaintance that I recently met.
Well, I think that, look, I think one of the unique things, I'm not a big, I know a lot of people are like door knockers. You know, they go knocking on the doors and, you know, they're sharing the gospel. For me, I'm more of a, you know, I want to know the person and get to know them and then, you know, organically have that conversation happen. And I don't think there's a right way or a wrong way. It's just, you know, that's how I'm built.
You know, I would just ask that person, you know, what is it, you know, if they're skeptical about Christianity, I'd ask, you know, what is their skepticism? You know, where do they, you know, what issues do they have a challenge with? And then try to walk them through that. You know, a book like, You know, Dr. Johnston's The Jesus Discoveries, I think could also help you because it might be able I think the book probably answers a lot of the questions, you know, that perhaps a skeptic, a non-Christian might have.
Yeah, I got to buy a couple of those books. Yeah, definitely.
Well, be sure to buy one of mine too. But, you know. Oh, yes. I have every one that you have written. You do have something off the subject.
Yes.
You're always talking about Dr. Pepper and how you love it. Love it. Love it. Yes.
So I finally bought me one, just a a small bottle, twenty ounces. And I read the label, calories, two hundred and forty calories.
Sodium, ninety five milligrams, total carbs, sixty six, Total sugar sixty five. Added sugars, one hundred twenty nine percent, protein, none. You active this is a bad thing? Yeah, those are all bad things. High fructose corn syrup.
I don't know. I guess I can't convince you that You know, Dr. Pepper isn't really good for you. Chris, I go back to the sweet, precious lady who was like, I'm about 101 years old, and they interviewed her and said, what's the secret? What's the secret?
And she said she drank three Dr. Peppers a day. And the reporter said, Well, your doctors, didn't they tell you that was bad for you? And she said, Absolutely. And they're all dead, and I'm still here.
Oh that's too funny. I mean, not really funny. I'm sorry. No, but it's so you gotta you gotta have a little bit you have to have at least one vice in your life. Yeah, right.
I don't smoke, I don't drink, so I guess I can have a Doctor Pepper. Exactly. I watched a podcast with a little lady that was one hundred and three years old. She said she ate three eggs for breakfast. She ate the same thing every day.
And for lunch, she had Um Two Burgers. Raw raw meat. I mean, you know. She made her own burgers. She didn't do fast food.
And for supper, there were raw tomatoes. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. She ate raw hamburgers? No, no, no. No, she cooked them herself.
Okay, I see.
So she cooked them at home.
Okay, all right. And how many potatoes for dinner? She said five. I can't eat far potatoes. One potato is enough, and I love baked potatoes.
Oh, that's a lot of potato. That is a lot of starch.
So, I know. You know, it's interesting when you look at what our grandparents and great-grandparents used to eat. And I remember my grandfather used to say that back in the Great Depression, you know, they would go to school and they wouldn't necessarily have a lot of food.
So, they would go to school with a pail of bacon grease and bread, and that would be their lunch. Oh wow. And everybody seemed to do just fine. But now with all the organic smoothies and whatnot, so people are eating avocado toast out the wazoo. Avocados are good for you.
Avocados are good better for you than Dr. Pepper, I think.
Well, there you go. All right. Chris, I raise a Dr. Pepper in your honor. Yeah.
Yeah, I'm holding my bottle that has about a teaspoon left in it. I did drink the whole thing other than a teaspoon.
Well, you you may as well, absolutely. And I'll tell you, it tastes better When it's warm, than when it's cold. Yeah. So, look, I am the one person in my entire church. Our church does like we do the living Bethlehem Village at Christmastime, and it's an amazing thing.
But one of the things we have, and I don't think this was actually in the original Bethlehem Village, was we have a big cauldron that serves hot Dr. Pepper. And I just, people swear by it, and I've had it, and I'm like, it is just not for me. Yeah. It's kinda like tea.
I don't do the hot tea. I gotta have it ice cold. Yeah. I like and people, when they order a drink at a fast food, I always get it with no ice because it comes out of the equipment cold. Let me ask you a question.
I'm Chris, I got to ask this. Are you a native Southerner or did you move down here? Yeah. I got tar on my heels.
Okay. So I tha I think that I think I know what that means. Do I have an accent? No, because most no, because a lot of Northerners don't drink ice in their beverages, and here in the South we're all about the ice. I'll be darn.
Mm-hmm. Yeah, it's it's a giveaway. It's a giveaway.
Okay. Then to people who say you all. But we give you guys bonus points for a try. I say. I say y'all.
Oh, that's good. That's good. You all. I say y'all. Y'all.
All right, good. And I know how to spell it, too. Y-A-Apostrophe L-L. That's it.
And if there's more and by the way, it's and if y'all is plural, so it's not a singular, it's plural. But if there are a lot of people, it's all y'all. All y'all. All y'all. You say a couple of funny things.
You say. Um, let me think real quick. You say Sewell. for school. Oh, scrool.
Yes, that's that's an homage to L. Rushbo right there. Oh, really? Did he I used to listen to him every day. Every now and again he would yeah, he would say scrool.
All right. Well, Chris, it's been a lovely conversation. I made you laugh. You made me laugh, Chris. All right.
God bless. And thank you for listening to us. We love all of our friends at WHKP. That's Dylan, she drank the Dr. Pepper.
And she liked it, I think. And she liked it. I mean, she said there was just one teaspoon left. You got it. I mean, I'm glad she did.
It seems like this is her first one. That she's ever had.
So, welcome to the family. I would just say, and just think about this, and I don't want to cheer people down. You know, I don't want to, you know, make people backslide.
So, you know, I hate that, you know, now she's. consumed at Dr. Pepper. Well, one won't, you know, start the habit. You know, he's it takes a few to start that.
But it's but you know it's a slippery slope. It's very slippery. You're starting with one and the next thing you know you got a six pack of Doctor Pepper and You're off the wagon. And now they have all these different flavors and stuff. It's very dangerous.
Well, exactly. All right, let's go to Mark in Gainesville, Georgia, who is apparently listening very intently to that conversation. Mark, I understand there was a correction may be needed. Yes, immediate correction needed. It's just my OCD immediately snapped on me, Todd.
She claimed the woman that you just talked to, she said, I know how to spell it too. And then she proceeds to spell it wrong. Wait, did she spell it? It's why apostrophe. She spelled it wrong.
It's Y apostrophe A-L-L. She said YA apostrophe L-L. Oh.
So there's two words, you all, and so that's why the apostrophe has to be after the Y. And then all.
So yeah, she spelt it wrong.
Sorry. You ruined the woman's day. I hope you feel good about yourself, Mark. Yeah. Hey, I'm I'm born and raised here in uh here in Decatur, Georgia.
Uh but I live in Gainesville, Georgia now, but uh I mean I've been Been in Georgia my entire life, uh, lived here. And uh, now, Mark, let me tell you: if you go a little bit further north up into the mountain communities, and especially this is like in that Murphy, North Carolina, you know, that kind of where Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee all kind of converge. Uh, there are people there that are so southern, I don't even know what they're talking about. And I, they would, they don't say y'all there, it's young's. Where are you going?
Where young's going? I've heard you and you can guarantee that. When they say that they got boiled peanuts, that end is backwards every time. Boiled peanuts.
Well, that's a fair point. By the way, there is really nothing better than a Coca-Cola and some boiled peanuts. Oh man. Todd, you ain't kidding. You're not kidding.
I'm ready for summertime. B I'm I'm out here with you. All right. Well, Mark, thank you for the correction. And we always like to make immediate corrections here on the Todd Stearns Radio Show.
We take pride in that. And we got to take a break. 901-260-5926. Our telephone number. That's 901-260-5926.
This is the Todd Stearns Show. Uh oh, Dylan, I did it now. Gizalu. I I hit the wrong button on my computer. And it's doing an update.
Oh, no. I've completely lost my computer. Yeah, that'll be gone for the next 20 minutes. Yeah, they're there. That's right, exactly.
And I hate the ones that do it in the overnight because I'm always afraid it won't restart. And that's how I wake up in the morning. Yeah. And then all your tabs are closed, and then it's just a mess. Do you actually, you know, a lot of people they've started turning off their phones and they don't have any computers, no technology in their bedroom because they said that it's, you know, you get a better sleep if you don't have any of the electronics in there.
That would be a great idea. Unfortunately, I don't do that. I'm actually the opposite. I fall asleep on my phone. Literally on your phone?
Sometimes I'll fall asleep to a podcast or a YouTube video. I am, yeah, I need to start reading at bed. You see, I try to do that. I do actually read books, and I'm like a chapter in, and I'm gone. See, I'm going to try it.
It's probably helpful. I just can't. You would enjoy it. I like my phone too much. I'm a Gen Zero.
What can I say? There's this one contraption. Oh, you guys gave it to me for Christmas. The Google home port thing, you know, and it's. Here's the problem.
It like. It had like rain showers or ocean waves or something. I don't know. There was a glitch because it was like in the middle of it, it'd be like two o'clock in the morning, and it's like the volume would just increase. Oh, no.
Oh, it was tree frogs. That's what it was. And I'm like, where the heck are these? I thought there were tree frogs in the house. I'm like, what is going on here?
Yeah. No, my wife can't fall asleep without a monsoon in the room.
So it always sounds like our house is going to blow away. We have a great pest control, James Pest, James Pest Management. They sponsor the Lars Larson Show. And I had the guys come out. I'm like, I've got an infestation of tree frogs.
And they're like, Um, sir, you just need to turn the volume down on your But who goes to sleep? I'm sorry, but who goes to sleep with tree frog noise? Who does that? Shouldn't even be a setting. No.
It would be like the uh cicadas. Could you imagine? That's what someone falls asleep to. That's the most calming noise. Unbelievable.
It's like somebody had a songbird. I tried the songbirds. And I'm like, shut up. Just stop it. It can't be an annoying sound.
Like, that just can't be what it is. True. So, we've apparently now have somehow stumbled upon a national conversation about the correct usage of the word y'all. Let's go to Bartlesville, Oklahoma. K-W-O-O-N, our great affiliate there.
Bill is on the line. Bill, how are things in Bartlesville? It's magnificent. It's a beautiful day. Best town in the country, by the way.
I was blessed to grow up in this town in the fifties and sixties. I'm an old dude. Anyway, I just want to give a shout out. Actually, I'm listening to the Mighty 690 out of Coffee Gulf, Kansas. But KWON is the local station here.
But they're all good. They're all good. In Oklahoma, everything's wonderful today. It's a clear day, 73 degrees with a slight breeze blowing. Oh, that's lovely.
Anyway, but y'all, in Oklahoma, anyway, it's singular or plural. Y'all just covers everything covers everything. Anybody that you're talking to, YAL My wife has a catering business, and I do the bars, and my conversation always starts with where y'all are from. because Oklahoma is a destination. By the way, Tulsa is a destination Wedding place because it's centrally located, and we have tons of beautiful venues here.
So, is that right? Oh, yeah, oh, yeah, plus architecture. When I asked the people when they come here, I said, What are you interested in? If you're interested in architecture, we have here in Bartlefield the only skyscraper that Frank Lloyd Wright built. It's called the Price Tower.
It's magnificent. We have several Frank Lloyd Wright homes in this area because Oklahoma was very wealthy back in the day. Anyway, we have architecture, art, western art and a Woolarock Museum out here outside Bartlesville. Frank Phillips built it. It's got magnificent.
In fact, if you look at most of the Western art it'll be credited to Bartonsville, Oklahoma. If you're interested in gun collection, the privus the largest private cult collection of experimental arms and everything else is there at that Willow Rock Museum. Anyway, one other quick one for a plug for Oklahoma. Kevin O'Leary, the mister Wonderful guy. Mr.
Wonderful. Yes, where he's investing his money.
Well, Oklahoma was one of the five states that he listed because it's cost of living. But we're coming on. And we also have another the number one tourist attraction last year was the gathering place in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Which is funded by private philanthropic works here in Tulsa. Bill, you could be like the head of the Chamber of Commerce and the Department of Tourism for Oklahoma.
Well done, sir. And I want you to give us a holler back. The computer's going to cut us off here in a minute, but God bless you for calling in. And thanks for the.
So, Bill says y'all can be plural and singular. And uh Bill, of course, uh giving us the um All right, welcome back everybody. This is the Todd Stearns Radio Show.
So Rah Emmanuel was on Bill Maher's show the other night and really Took a two by four to his own party. And this is the second or third time he's done this over the past couple of months. Take a listen. Let me say this. The Democratic Party taking 2024, going back to 2020.
invited a bunch of cultural wars into our kids' schools and we lost that war. I mean, here in California, up in San Francisco, they were arguing and voted to take Abraham Lincoln's name off of a high school. Not whether they were worried about whether the kids know why Abraham Lincoln was such an icon and the school was named after them. They lost the plot. They totally lost the plot and they lost the American people in that plot.
And when you're going to make a mistake, I'm going to call it out, your consequence for that. The cultural awards was a mistake. One thing the American people want from us is when their backs are up against the wall. They want us to show up and help them, not argue about Latinx as a term, not argue about defunding the police in some situations, or more importantly, letting the border get out of control. We actually have to show respect for the American people, their primary concerns, and help them, as I jokingly say, you know.
They weren't very good in the family room, not very good in the kitchen. The only room we were good in was the bathroom, and it's the smallest room in the house. It's nuts. Yes.
Right. All right. There you go. That was Rah Emmanuel, who is the former chief of staff for President Barack Hussein Obama. I want to go to the Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line, say hello to our good friend.
He's the publisher of TriStarDaily.com, Steve Gill. Steve, good to have you with us. What do you make of what Rah Emmanuel had to say there? Yeah, it's a rare burst of common sense, but as they say, even a broken clock is right twice a day. And when you look at where we're seeing the Democrats move in their primaries around the country.
They're moving further and further to the left to cater to that far left wing, which I think may be good for Republicans in the fall if they go as far off the deep end as it appears in many of these congressional races and U. S. Senate races. Yeah. that that moderate middle May reject the insanity that Democrats are moving to in so many of these races.
So, you know, it's good to hear what Rahm Emanuel says. But his party is not listening. No, not at all. I mean, they're nowhere near that. And again, he almost had, you almost caught a whiff of the old blue dog Democrats.
Those used to be really a conservative coalition of Democrats, going all the way back to, we're going to go old school here, Steve Gill. Remember Zell Miller, the former governor of Georgia, Democrat, who infamously said that he didn't leave the Democrat Party. The Democrat Party left him and went on to become a supporter of George W. Bush. Those guys are pretty almost like extinct, like the dinosaurs.
But I mean, it certainly sounds like Rah Emmanuel, at the end of the day, is more pragmatic about Democrat politics. Yeah, but I would say park is cheap. And what we're seeing from Democrats around the country, Todd, is they have figured out they can't reveal who they are. Election Day.
So you look at Abigail in Virginia. What she talked about before the election is nowhere near what she's doing now in Virginia that is, you know, 180 degrees from what she said. You see the same thing. With Governor Bashir in Kentucky. Oh, he's talented as a moderate, but when you look at what he actually does and what he actually puts into place.
Tries to put into place in Kentucky, there's nothing moderate about it. Same thing as when you look at Josh Shiro in Pennsylvania. What they say to get elected is decidedly different from what they will do when they get in. And they have to hold it, you know, feel like they can fool the public to win because they cannot run honestly on what they are for and what they will do, where the voters will reject them as we're going to see, I think, increasingly as we move through the fall. And look, I think that's a great point.
You just can't trust them, and you really can't. And I think Abigail Spanberger is a great example of that. By the way, I was really impressed to hear Jonathan Falwell, who is the, you know, his father founded Liberty University, and Jonathan took over the pastorate at Thomas Road Baptist Church, one of the largest churches in Virginia. And he actually came out yesterday, and this was from the church service. And Steve, it's a little long, but I want you to hear this because this is a good thing that we are seeing happening in Virginia.
Seven. Number one is this. Tuesday is an election day here in the Commonwealth of Virginia. It shouldn't be, but it is. And we have an election coming up.
There's no body on the ballot. There are no individuals running for any office. It is simply a decision that was made by some people in Richmond to subvert the common way and the right way to do things. And so they put up a constitutional amendment. And the language of the constitutional amendment just simply says this: that they want to restore fairness.
Now, here's their definition of restoring fairness. What is in the Commonwealth of Virginia right now, there are six seats held in congressional districts that are held by the more liberal-leaning part of our Commonwealth, and there are five seats that are held by the more conservative-leaning people in our Commonwealth. And so, their way to restore fairness is to make it where there will be ten leaning to the liberal and one leaning to the conservative. Which, by the way, I don't quite think the restore fairness is exactly what they're trying to do. I think what they're trying to do is to completely take over.
Now, here's what I would say to you, and you know this. I want to make it very clear. I have never I stood on the stage and told you who to vote for. I've never told you an individual that you should vote for or anything like that. I've never even told you a party to vote for.
I've told you to vote your principles. I've told you to vote your values. I've told you to vote what biblical values looks like and to vote in that realm and in that sphere. And today, I'm going to do the exact same thing, but it's a little bit different. Because today, I know that if you hold biblical values, if you believe in the sanctity of life, if you believe in the right of having this idea that there is man and woman, period, if you believe clearly in all of the freedoms and the values and the principles upon which this nation was founded, there is only one way to vote on Tuesday, and that is to vote no on Tuesday in the election.
Now, I know I will get some letters and I'll get some emails, some people will be mad by what I just said. I don't care. All right. I want to go, Steve, Gil, that's pretty bold for a pastor to come out and say something like that.
Well, and again, you always have the threat of churches. Oh, we're going to take your. Your nonprofit status away if you preach politics from the pulpit. And yet you see black churches for decades that will bring in candidates to preach and do politics from the pulpit. And nothing ever happens in those cases.
So, you know, I think it's bold, but at the same time, I think he's taking the proper approach. Try me. Come on, bring it on. Because they will not challenge that, particularly when it is not partisan. It is simply speaking out on an issue.
And I think, again, you don't lose your free speech right if you're a pastor in front of your congregation. And I think, again, underscores. the unfairness of what we're seeing play out in Virginia when again, Abigail Spanberger spoke a few years ago how she was adamantly opposed to gerrymandering for political purposes. And now that is exactly what they're trying to shove down the throats of Virginians with trickery and deceit about fairness, when it is the last thing that is there in a state that Kamala Harris only carried by about five percent of the vote. The other thing to pay attention to is that, again, all these Democrats, as we head into the fall, In Congress, they are going to be claiming to be something they're not.
They cannot run on who they are and what they're for, or they will lose.
So they're all going to moderate their film. They're all going to talk different than what they have done. because you've not seen any break. in the U.S. House of Democrats.
stepping aside from their party orthodoxy whether it comes to Yeah, the the having men in women's locker rooms, having men compete with women in sports. Defending and supporting our troops in funding, defending the Homeland Security folks and the police officers on the streets. They are lockstep 100% on every 80-20 issue against the vast majority of the American people.
Now, they're all going to lie and try to deceive you again between now and November. But look at how they voted complete lockstep, where the only thing they worship is not God or Jesus, but it is Democratic Party Orthodoxy. It's funny here in Memphis, we've got an election coming up. And to your point, the black churches are. Have been weaponized for political purposes.
And just yesterday, someone sent me some video. One of the white Democrats, she spoke at a black church and she got up. And you know, the services are pretty. The music is always really good. I enjoy the music.
And so she got up, Steve. Behind her, they have like this huge digital screen that has her campaign poster saying, vote for me. I mean, it's such a blatant violation of the Johnson Amendment. And she's getting up there and she's talking about how she's never shimmied, and she starts wiggling the girls right there in front of God and the parishioners there at the Baptist church she was at. I'm like, what the heck?
But, Steve, here's the problem. Did they pass the plate or a tip jar? Either. Hello. Were they supposed to tuck the 20s into her D-string?
I mean, how does that work at that church? I'm like, all right, ma'am. All right. Yeah. No jiggling for Jesus up in here.
You know, here's what gets me, though, Steve, is that the white churches here in, and I'm going to get in trouble, but it needs to be said. The white churches in Memphis, if they would just... you know, talk about the issues like Dr. Falwell just preached about, you know, you don't have to tell people who to vote for, but you can talk about the issues. I think that things would change in Memphis, but the white churches have been conditioned to stay silent.
And honestly, they're just terrified about speaking out on the big issues. You know, years and years ago, I had the Reverend Jesse Jackson on my radio show. And I asked him straight up: I said, how is it that black turf can bring politicians in to promote? themselves and their candidacy and and literally preach politics from the pulpit. And yet You know, Jesse, you're one of the ones that will scream and howl if a white church pastor suggests how people should vote on issues.
He goes, Well, it's because it's it's part of our culture. The culture in the black community is the churches have always led in politics and every other way, so we get a special exemption.
So yeah, but that's not the law. Yeah, no, it's not the law, but again, they turn a blind eye. I guarantee you, if there had been a Republican candidate going to a predominantly white church and doing that sort of thing yesterday, there would have already been a complaint filed with the Internal Revenue Service. But again, there's one set of rules, and then there's another set of rules, and that's not right. By the way, one.
One quick insight on Memphis politics. I know you're national, but Memphis matters. And you have a congressional race there, speaking of gerrymandering. It is a black created district by the Voting Rights Act, and the Supreme Court may wipe this out, and it may change. Things down the road.
I don't think Tennessee can gerrymander quick enough, even if the Supreme Court wipes away the required racial. Districts in the next few weeks. But you have a black-created district where a white liberal, Steve Cohen, has been the congressman for years. He is now being challenged by a young African American who was part of the Tennessee Three Brabble Rousers. Yeah, nobody knows.
Cohen has $2 million. Pass around hand. Justin Pearson has about 300,000. But money isn't going to matter in that race. It's going to be the racial divide.
And Cohen has been elected over and over again, as I know you've seen, because three or four black candidates will run against him. They divide the black vote and he gets back in. That may not happen this time, even though he has $2 million in his disposal.
Well, it's just, again, another example of the radicalization and of how radical the Democrat Party is about to become, where Steve Cohen is not liberal enough for the district. At least that's the charge being levied. Steve, we got to leave it there. TriStarDaily.com is the website. That's TriStarDaily.com.
Always good hearing from you, my friend. Talk to you soon. Thank you. All right. There you go.
Real quick, before we go to the go to a break here, Maria from Hendersonville, North Carolina, WHKP, been holding on, wants to weigh in on ROM Emmanuel. Hi, Maria. What you got for us? Hi, Dodd. I just wanted to say that Rahm Emanuel might be your traditional Democrat, but Uh Two words, Abigail Spanberger, they put themselves out there as moderate.
But if they are elected, that is not the way they will govern. not at all. And regarding the Black Church, the Black Church is struggling because they have lost black men with all this uh nonsense that these uh politicians and uh Democrat politicians and woke um preachers have brought into the church.
So there's nothing in the black church anymore except for the women. They have lost their strength and their influence among black men.
So don't fall for the bait and switch America. Do not fall for the Democrat Bait and Switch. They are not moderate. If you vote for 'em, they will not govern moderately. Maria, it is a great word of warning, as always.
And thank you for listening to us, and thank you for calling. 901-260-5926. Our telephone number, that's 901-260-5926. This is the Todd Stern Show. Breaking news now on the Todd Starn Show.
All right, getting some intel out of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. WSJS, our great affiliate out in those parts, and we understand there's been a mass shooting near a middle school. This all taking place, it's a very bizarre story, but apparently young people were gathering for what was believed to be a planned fight. Among several young individuals, these are middle schoolers we're talking about. The investigators say the fight escalated into gunfire.
There are multiple victims as a result of the shooting.
Now, the kids who are at the school there in Winston-Salem are safe. This is according to Fox 8 there in North Carolina. The State Bureau of Investigation is categorizing this as a mass shooting. At least two people are confirmed dead. Again, two people confirmed dead.
Winston-Salem police. Say they have not confirmed the total number of victims in the shooting. There is still a large police presence at the scene. And any of our listeners out there, if you have heard about this, give us a call: 901-260-5926. That's 901-260-5926.
There are two schools nearby: Mount Tabor High School and Jefferson Middle School. Also, apparently, people are putting drones up in the air. What's unbelievable. Investigators asking the public to avoid the use of personal drones to avoid interfering with emergency operations. They're trying to find the suspects.
Police say they have found several of the suspects and the victims. And some of those involved are, in fact, juveniles.
So, all of that coming from the reporting of FOX 8 there in North Carolina. What a terrible story. I'm telling you, we had a situation here where a bunch of kids, by the way, Dylan, they said, oh, it was just a sweet little water gun fight. at Shelby Farms, which is our premier park, And over, what, 250 kids showed up? Video surfaced after this.
So there was a water gunfight that turned into a gunfight, leaving a teenager dead. And Dylan, the videos of the actual water gun fight, they were acting as if they were doing drive-by shootings. Oh, right. Like in cars, hanging out, you know. Yeah.
I'm telling you, what's going on? It is insane. We have had so many shootings involving these kids out on spring break, just here in the Memphis area, but it's all over the country. That this is going on, and what a terrible situation there in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Certainly, our thoughts and prayers are with all of those involved.
And again, they don't know how many people ended up getting shot. But one is too many. I am telling you, ladies and gentlemen, there is a culture war in this culture. Country. All right, got to leave it there.
