America's about to lose the AI arms race. Not because of chips or code, but power. AI runs on energy and we don't have enough. China's building a new coal plant every week while Democrats cancel pipelines and block drilling. No power, no progress, no AI future.

That's why we need you. Sign up now for free at oilfacts.com to get your free report on the AI arms race before rolling blackouts wipe out our future. Oilfacts.com, powered by Prairie Operating Company, a high-growth, low-cost producer of safe and responsible American energy. From the Mighty 990 Broadcast Center, you're waking up in Starnes Country with Todd Starnes. And good morning, everybody.

Welcome back. Hope you had a terrific Christmas. Wow, what was that last night? Those storms. Pretty intense.

And the National Weather Service, our friends over at the National Weather Service over at the Agri Center, they actually posted a video that's going viral this morning showing how the temperature dropped here in Memphis. I think it was almost 30 degrees in under 20 minutes.

So it is going to be very cold.

So bundle up. Make sure your pipes are bundled up as well. Right now, it is 28 degrees at Memphis International Airport. And tonight, the low getting down to about 24. Laura Huckabee is going to have your full forecast coming up in just a little while.

Well, we have a lot to talk about, a lot of news happening, ladies and gentlemen. Also, we're going to give you a chance to win tickets exclusively to the AutoZone Liberty Bowl. Those tickets, by the way, are worth about $90 a piece.

So that is going to be a great deal and a great opportunity for you to win some tickets for a great game. By the way, Navy, I believe, arriving in town a little bit later today.

So we're going to start with a weird story, and we didn't post anything about this. On the socials. Because we wanted to give the Playhouse on the Square an opportunity to talk about this. But if you've been to Playhouse on the Square, they do some really good shows, and they are as liberal as the day is long. Lord love them.

I mean, and it's, you know, and again, the theater community, it's, you know, you're going to expect that. No big deal. It happens. And You just go in, you decide, you know what? We're not going to worry about the politics, we just want.

We just want a great show. That's all. But if you go on their website, you can tell that they are beyond far left when it comes to their ideology and what they stand for. And we'll get to that in just a moment. But I got a.

I got a note from Apparently. And several parents actually took their kids to an event. And the event was The Wizard of Oz. I I have not gone to see this show, so all I I'm relying on the the information coming from the parents who reached out. We had three different groups of moms and dads reach out to us.

And we reached out to Playoffs on the Square. And the reason why we haven't talked about it, I got this on December 24th, and we've been waiting ever since for somebody to get back to us from the Playoffs. They've been doing shows and everything, so we know that they got the email, but they have yet to respond. And we wanted to be fair about it, and we wanted to give Playoffs on the Square an opportunity to respond to the complaints here coming from the parents. And so I want to.

I want to read this to you. This is what the parent sent us. Dear K Wham, I took my home school children to the Wizard of Oz last Friday at Playhouse on the Square. Most of the actors were great. By the way, th they are.

I mean just great actors, no doubt about it. but I had no idea that they would turn a children's play into a vehicle for a drag show. Or we would have stayed home. There were multiple scenes of men in dresses. This was not for comedic effect, but clearly part of the world view of the theater.

One scene, the poppy scene, had multiple large men with beards and red silk dresses. You know, let me stop here for just a moment. That had to have been pretty pricey. I mean, you know, if you're looking at a big birdly dude in a silk silk dress, I mean, that's a lot of silk. Anyway, I digress.

Continuing on with the letter, I'm thinking of complaining to the theater, but I know the response I will get. I try so hard to protect my children. I felt totally ambushed. It's almost as though a We should have been informed, we should have had informed consent for the theater. There was no hint in the advertising that this was a progressive rendition of The Wizard of Oz.

This was a children's daytime show full of elementary kids. And then the mom reaches out, and we're going to try to get the mom on the show this week or next week to talk about this.

So we went in, we looked at the website, and sure enough, I mean, it certainly appears to be an. At least at face value, what one would expect to be a regular stage version of The Wizard of Oz. There was no indication that this was an adults-only performance. As a matter of fact, to her point, they actually had a children's day.

So, the intent here, I mean, I think the mom is on to something. We reached out to Playhouse on the Square and they have not commented. They have not, because we asked you, can you give us some context here? You know, was this, you know, were there drag queens? I mean, this.

I I have no reason to doubt this lady at all.

So, anyway, as I'm perusing the website of Playhouse on the Square. They had this whole statement, this mission statement. And they, of course, believe strongly, and I'm just reading this: diversity, equity, inclusion, and change. But this is my favorite part. They also include a land acknowledgement.

Playhouse on the square. Would like to acknowledge that we are on traditional, ancestral, and unceded land of the Chickasaw, Choctaw, and Quapaw nations. on whose land we work, labor, and create. As our organization continues to use our art to tell the stories of all people, we shall strive to honor the life of this land through our work and creativity. Which I'm sure is a very nice thing.

But here's my question. You're acknowledging that you're on you built your facility on stolen land from the Indians. Don't you have some sort of a moral obligation, playos on the square, to give it all away, just give it to the Indians? Maybe they could do, I don't know, Native Americans on the square or something of that nature. I'm just asking here, since they're acknowledging that they're operating their business on stolen land.

So, are you surprised by this? It's a little unusual. It's a little odd that something of this nature happens, but I am curious what's going on here. And I think that Playoffs on the square needs to put out a statement. And look, I've got no problem.

If they want to have drag queens. And you know, Wizard of Oz or Alice in Wonderland or My Fair Lady. Oh, they do have that song in mind, Fair Lady. Why can't a woman be more like a man?

So I But if they want to do that, Go for it. It's look, it's a free country. You can do that.

However, When you're dealing with children Don't you have an obligation? Don't you have. I mean, they like to throw around the morality. Don't you have a moral. Uh don't you have a moral obligation?

To tell the parents, hey, look, We're going to be taking the show. This is a little different. We're going to have drag queens here, and this may not be for your kids. Maybe it's not a children's performance. But when you go out there knowing the content of the show.

And knowing that it could be controversial, and knowing that some parents might object, or maybe a lot of parents would object. And you do nothing then to me says that you're trying to groom these kids. And I do have a problem with that.

So we hope to get Playhouse on this. We have invited them to come on the show. Love to be able to do it. It's not anything gotcha. We just want to find out what's going on out there.

That being said, all of you parents. Who might want to send your kids to a show at Playoffs on the Square? You need to be aware of this just so that you don't end up having to explain to your children why there are big, burly, hairy men wearing dresses and prancing across the stage. I'm just saying. 901-260-5926.

Our telephone number. That's 901-265. 260-5926. No, I'm not attacking playoffs on this grade. I'm just saying, what's going on here?

And one of the things I deeply appreciate is the fact that we have great listeners who are reaching out and saying, hey, look, you might want to look into this. And that brings me to our next story. This is terrible: the Memphis Zoo. And I just want to say right out of the gate, we love the zoo, we love animals, we love all of that stuff. And my understanding is that the zoo lights are pretty spectacular.

That being said, They had a new berth at the Memphis Zoo. We have an orangutan over there, and she gave birth to a baby girl. And that's, look, we're excited about that. We're pro-life here, even for the orangutan community. And I think this is a wonderful thing.

But This is where I just I just can't. In the spirit of wokeness the Zoo named the orangutan Ruhana. No, Helen, not Rihanna. No, that's the musical artist. This is Ruhana.

Ruhana means soul, spirit. or essence of life. And honors Ruhana Kudis, the first female Indonesian journalist. and a pioneering advocate for women's rights. The name was chosen to reflect strength, reliance, And the legacy of powerful women.

So there you go. Um, all you feminises out there, you now have an idol that you can worship at the Memphis Zoo, an orangutan named Ruhana. Gotta love it. 901-260-5926. Our telephone number, that's 901-260-5926.

Coming up, some very exciting news. All of you folks in the Millington area, North Memphis, we've got racing coming back to the Mid-South. That is a terrific story. Also, Mayor Paul Young announcing that crime, serious crime in the Mid-South, now at a 25-year low. Thank you, President Trump, for that.

We'll. Do a deep dive into the numbers. And also, we're going to run down the list of folks now running for office. Not a lot of Republicans, and we'll tell you about that as well. Our telephone number, 901-260-5926.

Got a problem with what Playoffs on the Square is doing or the woke monkey? 901-260-5926. Let's check in with Commander Chuck. Look at traffic. Health insurance rates are surging in America, leaving millions without affordable options.

That's chministries.org slash wellness. And welcome back to Starnes Country. We are broadcasting in the Principal Toyota Memphis studio.

So happy to have you with us today, everybody, as we start our week. I know a lot of you folks still at a lot of people still out of town enjoying a very, very long holiday week.

So good for you. Big news happening, and this was announced just before the just before Christmas Eve, and it really is a wonderful bit of Christmas news for the Mid-South. The International Hot Rod Association has acquired the motor sports facility in Memphis that's formerly known as Memphis International Raceway, and they plan on bringing racing back to the Mid-South. This is huge news, and we've received so many, so many comments from our listeners who are huge racing fans. Of course, the speedway originally opened.

In the late 1980s and played a pretty major role in motorsports history, hosting a number of drag racing events and also a number of national touring series as well. Many of you may have gone to these races, and I never had the opportunity to get out there. We were not a big racing family, but this is exciting news. This is going to be a major economic boom for Millington and Shelby County.

Now, we're getting some comments already coming in from, for example, Mayor Paul Young saying that the investment honors the legacy of Memphis Motorsports Park, positions it for a strong future. He says it's going to be a boom for tourism, local businesses, and fan experiences. Commissioner Amber Mills, who represents that area, that's District 1. She says that she is thrilled about the acquisition and says this is going to strengthen the local economy and puts world Class racing back on solid ground and giving our families and young people a safe, exciting place to create memories for years to come. Maybe instead of, I don't know, drag racing down Poplar and Shelby, the kids can utilize the speedway for those things.

So, anyway, well done.

Well done for the International Hot Rod Association. Exciting news for racing fans all across the area. By the way, we told you that you're going to have an opportunity to win a pair of tickets to the Liberty Bowl.

Now, if you've won something in the past 30 days, you are not eligible. These tickets are worth $90 a piece.

So these are big dollar tickets. We're looking at caller number three. Caller number three. You will pick up those tickets, 901-260-5926. That's 901-260-5926.

Speaking of speeding. Have you heard about what happened with Tennessee House Speaker Cameron Sexton? There was a big dust-up between his driver and police officers in Nashville the other day. Take a listen to Cut One. Officer Johnson was trying to pace the SUV, clocking him at up to 85 miles per hour, 30 miles over the speed limit.

An unnamed Tennessee Highway Patrol trooper was driving the SUV with Tennessee House Speaker Cameron Sexton inside. Investigators say the trooper got out of his vehicle immediately and approached the officer before clearly identifying himself, leading to a heated exchange. If you're gonna run 85 miles per hour in a 55 mile per hour zone, You need to yield to the police. I don't care who you think you are. I'm the police.

Well, the police are trying to stop you because you're breaking the law. In following the traffic stop, Metro Police say Speaker Sexton's chief of staff filed a complaint on his behalf, alleging that the Metro officer acted aggressively, used profanity, and blocked their ability to leave. An investigation by Metro Police finds that their officer did nothing wrong, saying he remained calm and professional throughout the stop. The Tennessee Fraternal Order of Police tells us the Metro officer had the authority to pull the trooper over. Common sense would say, pull over when you get lit up.

If you've got an emergency, or the congressman or senator, or whoever the dignitary was in the car, explain that to the officer. The officer will probably say, Yes, sir, I understand you've got business to do. Please drive safely and have a nice day. you still need to respect the law and order of the state. In a statement to News Two, Sexton's office says in part, quote, an unfortunate incident occurred due to an overzealous MNPD officer in an unmarked car that jeopardized the safety of Speaker Sexton and THP.

There was no violation of traffic laws by the THP officer pursuant to state law. THP did not comment specifically on the incident or the trooper involved, only sharing that they have a good working relationship with Metro Police. All right, there you go. That's the local reporting there.

So I have a couple of questions. First of all, why are taxpayers funding a driver for the Speaker of the House? Can he not get from point A to point B on his own dime? The other part of it, I had a chance to watch the whole encounter, and it was all very pretty nasty. And I think there was a lot of hostility on both sides here.

I think this is one of these instances where everybody is at fault. But the fact of the matter is, if you or I were driving in an unmarked black SUV, going 30, 40 miles over the speed limit, we would be having a conversation at the local jail.

So, again, it's important, ladies and gentlemen. We just call it like it is here on this radio program. I will say this: I thought the speaker did a nice job. The speaker was the only person who was actually well-behaved in all of this. All right, let's go to the phone lines and say good morning to Mike and Eads.

Mike. Good morning. How's it going this few days after Christmas? Oh, it's gone fabulous. Glad to win some tickets.

Well, yes, congratulations. You are caller number three, and you have just won a pair of tickets to the AutoZone Liberty Bowl. Going to be a lot of fun. January the 2nd, 3:30 in the afternoon. Mike, you may need to dress warmly, but it's going to be a fun matchup.

It's going to be warmer than the night. Let's hope so. Let's hope so. But it's going to be a great game, and halftime is going to be a lot of fun as well. Matt Stell, the country music singer, is going to be bringing some music.

So, Mike, have you been to the Liberty Bowl before? I have, yes.

Well, renovations are all the rage I hear.

Well, that's what we understand. They're not quite finished, but I think you get a pretty good idea of what the AutoZone Liberty Bowl is going to look like once you get there.

So, Mike, hang tight. We're going to get all your info, and we will get you those tickets. Congratulations. All right, and you will have an opportunity to win tickets as well. We have some to give away exclusively right here on the Mighty 990.

And it's important for all of us, and God bless the great team over there at the Liberty Bowl. They do such a terrific job, and it's a lot of fun, and it's an opportunity for the rest of the country to see what Memphis is really all about. And speaking of that, we're going to get to the mayor's big announcement: crime at a 25-year low, serious crime in the Mid-South. That being said, there is still a lot of violence on the streets, a lot of shootings over the holiday weekend, and we've got to get a handle on that. Coming up, Vicki Gandy is going to be joining us every Monday.

Vicki drops some knowledge about real estate here in the Mid-South, and she has some exciting news about real estate and Memphis. Speaking of national headlines, we'll tell you all about that coming up. All right, Tawana Murphy back at it. She's got a beef with State Representative Mark White and Senator Brent Taylor. We'll tell you all about that as well.

This is Stern's Country and the principal Toyota Memphis studio. Americans have a big healthcare problem. Over 100 million citizens carry medical debt while paying for overpriced and complicated health insurance. As Christians, we don't have to pay for a broken system. Christian Healthcare Ministries is an alternative to health insurance at half the cost.

Plus, you can enroll at any time. Stand up to health insurance with a biblical solution. Join CHM today by visiting chministries.org/slash wellness. That's chministries.org/slash wellness. And good morning.

Welcome back, everybody. This is Stern's Country in the principal to Memphis studio. It is. Yep, bone shelling. Yeah, that's a fair description of what it feels like outside.

28 degrees. right now here in East Memphis. By the way, we have received an update on the numbers of candidates running for office in the elections coming up next year. And it's not looking good for Republicans. As a matter of fact, there are almost as many Independents running as Republicans.

So look, if you are interested in running for office and we need good, solid people, Running for office, and everybody says, Oh, how come the party's not?

Well, the party can't force you to run, so that's a decision you have to make.

So, uh, get cracking, everybody. We need to do a better job of having a variety of candidates running for office. Also, uh, coming up at 11 o'clock, the Todd Stern Show, we're going to be doing a deep dive into what's happening in not only Minnesota, but also Ohio when it comes to the Somali immigrants and the billions of dollars in fraud.

Now, you might be interested to know that even here in Tennessee, we have thousands of Somalians that were relocated here, most of them in the Nashville area, about 5,000. But we have a very large Somali population right here in Memphis, and hundreds, ready for this one, folks, hundreds of taxpayer-funded child care centers, just like the ones that are at the center of this fraud investigation in Minneapolis. We have hundreds of those right here in Memphis, over 300, by the way.

So, just we're going to be doing a deep dive into all of that. 901-260-5926, our telephone number. Always excited when Mondays roll around. Our good friend Vicki Gandy from Cry Like Realtors. Go TeamGandy.com is the website.

Vicki, hope you had a very happy Christmas. Oh, we did, Todd. It was amazing. We had everybody and my entire family there.

So it was great and crazy.

Well, it looked like a traffic jam in your neighborhood. They're like, oh, that's Gandy's house. That's true. Got a lot of people there. We do.

We have a crowd. Wow, that's wonderful.

Well, look, some exciting news. You know, we're so delighted to hear about what's happening at Memphis International Speedway. Crime now at a 25-year low. And there's another big headline coming out that it turns out Memphis is one of the most affordable cities in the nation. Yes, we made the top ten, which is amazing.

I was really excited about this. This is an article that just recently came out with Realtor.com and Most Affordable Metros. And what we need to hear this, now there are some up north, there's some in kind of the mid Midwest and then or Mid South, I should say. And this is something that I was excited about when I was going through. I go through these articles all the time.

We um said I'll just kind of run through the top 10. Number one is Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and the median listing price is $245,000. Your monthly payment would be $1,630,000, and the annual minimum income, which I think is amazing, is $65,208. And the neat thing about that is that's really affordable, and that's the most affordable there is. The other towns are Cleveland, Ohio, Detroit, Michigan.

Um Buffalo, New York. St. Louis, Missouri, which is the first southern town, their median listing price is $291,900. Monthly payment $1,942 and annual minimum income of $77,690. The next is Birmingham.

which I love Birmingham. I spent a lot of time there when I lived in Montgomery, and it's a beautiful town. Median listing price, which I was a little bit surprised on this one. $298.5 monthly payment, $1,986. Annual minimum income $79,447.

And that's really, really good. Louisville, Kentucky was the next, minimum $309. This is number 7. And let's see, we moved on to monthly payment 2,062 and minimum income 82,000. The next is Oklahoma City.

which is 315,995. 200103 and minimum income of 84, and then last but not least, Memphis, Tennessee, which the median listing price is $319,000, $319,000, monthly payments of $2,123.

So they got it below $3,000, which is really helpful. And then minimum income was $84,903.

Now keep in mind. This is not Germantown. This is not Cairo. Maybe Bartlett, you could do this.

Some places in Cairville, possibly, if it's an older house. But this is exciting news, though. But this is going to bring people to Memphis, I hope. And especially with our crime, everything falling into place, it's going to really make Memphis attractive.

Well, you have all the data centers moving in. You know, you have early becoming the AI hub. I mean, there's a lot of stuff going on that is really attractive, I think, to young people, well, educated young people that are wanting to start out their life. And you can buy a house, and this is the place to do it.

Well, and climate is a big thing for a lot of people. They don't want to have snow up to their elbows. And Memphis might get a little, in fact, the whole world stops in Memphis when it snows, as you well know. But Memphis is a great location, and we are a hub, you know, with FedEx and everything that we have here.

So Memphis has a lot to show. And with the crime, if we can keep our crime. I'm down, we will be booming. You mentioned snow. That reminds me, I've got to give a shout out.

And I've never met this guy. And if I'm going to butcher his last name, I apologize. Is it David Dollar or David Daylor? Who takes a lot of these great photos around Germantown? And we were talking about the big 1963 snowstorm that just like people at Memphis were like freaking out.

But it was a good kind of freaking out. It was a Christmas Day snowstorm. And he actually lived in Whitehaven and he sent me some photographs of their family home. And he's standing in the front yard, just snow everywhere. It's the 1963 Christmas Day snowstorm.

It was huge. I vaguely remember it. I was very little, but I do remember it. I think it was up to my chest or something. I remember my brother carrying me around.

This is all that to say, yeah, you could get snow here on Christmas Day. But again, it's great news that we're on the top 10 list. But the reality is you've got to figure out: okay, how much money am I making to be able to afford to buy a house? And a lot of folks don't know the process it takes to do something like that.

Well, the first thing you do is call us, call me, call anyone that your realtor. Um What we do is we sit down with clients and we go over, let's hear what your income is, let's what you think you can afford. And then we sit down and then we also meet with lenders and recommend, you know, and I am very, very big about brick and mortar. I want a building here. I want to have a place that I can visit and my client can visit, that not something online that just does not work.

I've had so many bad experiences with that. People think, oh, I can get such a great deal.

Well, there's always. There's always a gimmick. There's always, it shows up at the end, usually at the closing table, and it's too late. And then they realize all these fees or whatever.

So you get someone who knows the city, who's done it a long time, and that helps you. And they can save you money. These clients don't realize these mortgage lenders, I have them, I'll take my person to two or three that I work with all the time and let them fight over you. Vicki Gandy is joining us every Monday with Cry Like Realtors. And by the way, she knows what she's talking about.

She doesn't boast about you should, I mean, this is like huge. You're a lifetime multi-million dollar club. Member. I mean, that's huge. I have.

I'm in my 19th year and made that my first full year, and not lifetime, but the Multimillion Dollar Club and all. And that's a. It's a lot of fun. It's more of a social thing, but everybody thinks that we've made millions and millions of dollars, but that's not necessarily true. You have to sell it, which is great.

But I do love what I do. I've done it for a long time. GoTeamGandy.com is the website. That's GoTeamGandy.com. I remember when I was, when I first moved to New York City to work at Fox News, and I thought, I want a place on the Upper West Side.

So I got a realtor, a broker, and so they started looking. They're like, okay, well, what are you making? And here's what I was making. They're like, you can't afford to live on the upper west side. I said, well, what about, I was going up, and I'm like, well, what about Harlem?

They go, how do you feel about Yonkers? I'm like, oh, geez, the loom. I was the only person who spoke English in my neighborhood. I bet you are, that's for sure. But is that, I mean, are people genuinely surprised, you know, when you sit down with them and like, okay, here's the house we want.

And you say, okay, let's take a look at what your income looks like. Yes. And we try to start with that.

Now, sometimes I'll let them tell me and show a few houses. Dreamhouses, and then we have to come back to reality. And that's what I do, and that's why I like for them to meet with the lender. First and foremost, they have to be approved because there's really no reason to start looking until you are. And the thing is, if there's something, there's a glitch in your credit or something, we can work through that and get it worked out.

Some people take six months, sometimes it takes six weeks.

Sometimes it's something that needs to be adjusted that's really not their fault. But when people don't realize, you need to check your credit. You need to have those checks done, have someone check it for you because there can be things there that you're not even aware of that has nothing to do with you. But that's the thing. You kind of go through the plane.

But I let them tell me what they like and they have a long list. And then as time goes on, their list gets smaller and smaller. It's just ideal to do that. It's great advice. And especially if you're a first-time home buyer, reach out to Vicky.

And she's going to be able to get you pointed in the right direction. Vicki, the cookies you made were delicious. Oh, thank you. Yes, I'm back on my diet now. Oh, sweet.

We've made so many cookies. All right, Vicki, Gandy, everybody. Go with Cry Like Realtors. GoTeamGandy.com is the website. That's Gandy with two E's.

Go Team Gandy.com. All right, great to see you, Vicki. Thank you so much. All right, hang tight, everybody. We need to check in with Parker May standing by with a look at sports.

Got to go check them out. Great prices on cars. This headline from the Daily Memphian: House GOP to push forward Memphis school takeover plan with. Teeth, and uh this is good news. And we need honestly, folks, we've needed a state takeover of Memphis Shelby County Schools for a very long time.

Now the legislation that Mark White, who's one of our local guys here, he's chair of the State Education Committee. His legislation would trigger an oversight board if a local school district, um, Has 50% or more of enrolled students who do not meet state testing grade level expectations.

Well, that was us. We're over 70%. 30% or more of schools in a district receive a D or F state letter grade. 25% or more of the students enrolled were chronically absent. Truancy is insane here.

And so, anyway, there are a few other items on the list.

So, current school board member Tawana Murphy. Known for her hit musical song Who Can't He Kiss'un? Wrote this in response, and all I can tell you is. That this woman is Just this shy of being illiterate. I will do my best to read this, what she wrote on her social media page, talking about Mark White and State Senator Brent Taylor.

And here's what she said. These two jackasses think they know everything. State rep Mark White stated that he is recommending nine Republican managers. That is educated to no, that should be R, ma'am, R R, not is. That is educated to advise the current elected board.

No, sir, you want that should be a period there, ma'am. No, sir, you want nine managers over the board to bow down to you and take funding from our black and brown children. Mark is upset because he can't control the board and we won't bow down. Yesa, Massa. Oh my That's a little racially charged.

She goes on to say the devil is a lie. Again, when they took over a few years ago, it was a complete failure. They have grown some balls since Trump been in office. They j they just violate all the rules. Again, we are chosen by the people who elected us.

We don't like half of the things you'll do, but that's not our business.

Somehow, you guys continue to be in our business Oh, I forgot. It's a two billion dollar budget involved. All right, well, let me stop here for just a moment. And Ms. Murphy may not be aware of this, but that's our money, two billion dollars of our tax money.

She's under this impression that once she got elected she was answerable to no one. She goes on to say this to all the people that tried to compromise with them, you see where that got you nowhere. I told you they were going to do what they wanted to do. Unless we fight harder, They will destroy this whole district. Mr.

Charles Lamkin fell his Fell his big ass on the table, pleading with him to take over, SMH. Timu teeth Senator Brent Taylor has a bad habit of disrespecting her children, calling them out their calling them out of their names. I don't know what that means. You want that heat, Senator Taylor? I can bring it.

I am sick and tired of them targeting our black and brown children.

Well, I Okay. Miss Miss Murphy. And I'm being generous with that. Miss Murphy doesn't seem to understand that. that Mark White and Brent Taylor are concerned and they're sick and tired of black and brown children coming out of our school system here locally and not being able to read and write and do simple arithmetic.

And they want to do something about that.

So my question to Tawada Murphy is why hasn't she? Her job is on the school board. Her job is to make sure that those kids are being educated. But she's not wanting to do that. And that ought to bother every single taxpayer in Shelby County because we all have skin.

In that game, ladies and gentlemen. all of us. Also, um want to want to uh Share this information with you. We've got a situation where a Shelby County, a longtime Shelby County employee, is now missing. And the family's offering a $10,000 reward for information.

Take a listen to Cut2. Today, I talked with the family, and since Donnell Roberts disappeared five days ago, that family is letting hope guide them even as fear takes over. His mother, Terry Glass, says she is desperate for answers. He is a brother. He is a father.

He is a loved son. And this has got to reach everybody. I just want my son to come home. Donnell Roberts is a 26-year-old from Cordova who works for the county as a principal court clerk for the circuit court. He left his home at Cordova Monday evening and a white niece on Ultima heading towards Whitehaven.

He hasn't been seen or heard from since. I've cried, I've hollered, I've screamed, I've yelled, I've driven across. Mississippi, Arkansas, everywhere. Looking for my bag. Donnell's mother says her son is good-natured and responsible.

He's not involved in gangs, drugs, or showed signs of mental health issues. It's just not like him. to not Be at home on Christmas to not be with his daughter. Anxious for answers, the family is offering a cash reward for anyone who provides info that will lead to Roberts being found. I'm unsure.

I have a lot of questions, a lot of concerns. That's why the $10,000 reward from his Chicago family was put out there. Glass says she is grateful for the support her family has received, but they remain restless as they wait for closure. Everybody is restless from Chicago to Memphis. We won't answer.

We want our son home. We need our son that is our son, that is our baby, that's our firstborn. If you know anything and if you saw anything. Just come forward, please. All right.

That reporting from Action News 5, WMC TV, and they don't know where the guy is. I know the Shelby County Sheriff's Office over the weekend urging local media to get information out, which we are certainly happy to do. But again, the guy's just disappeared, and nobody's been able to find the fellow.

So anyway, let's hope that he is reunited, and let's hope that he gets back to his family. 901-260-5926, our telephone number. That's 901-260-5926. Coming up at 11 o'clock, the Todd Sterns show. It's going to be wild today.
