Live from the Liberty University Studio in Memphis, Tennessee, it's common sense conservative commentary from Todd Starr. Test. That's right, I love this American. And hello, everybody. Welcome to the Touchstones Radio Program.
Great to have you guys with us today. Wow, we've got a fun show lined up for you. Cat Kammick, our good friend and congresswoman from Florida is going to drop by in just a little while. Also, we'll be taking your calls on the big issues of the day as well. I want you to write down our telephone number.
You will need this if you plan on calling into the show today, 901-260-5926. Again, that number, 901-260-5926. All right. Where do we start? Man, this debate last night, Zoron Mamdami.
and Andrew Cuomo and Curtis Liwa. Tweedle D, Tweedledum, and Tweedledumber, and you can figure out for yourself which one's which. What an embarrassment to all the political parties. What was on display last night? That was just ridiculous.
I will say this: Cuomo did seem to make a few. You know, and he took a few shots, and a few of those punches actually landed on Mamdomi. But um yeah, I'm not I'm not sure if it moves the needle much at all. And then Curtis Sleewa, who, honest to goodness, I know he's a Republican, and everybody says he's a Republican, but I don't know about that. I really don't.
He was he was talking and campaigning last night like he was a Democrat. But anyway, last night's debate. A couple of things and a couple of takeaways. A lot of people are very concerned, especially Jewish Americans, are very concerned about this guy. And look, I I think you should be very clear based on his associations and connections and the things that have spewed out of his mouth that this guy is in fact a jihadist.
This guy does support the eradication of the nation of Israel. If. If Benjamin Netanyahu does actually show up in New York City, I would have no doubt that a mayor mamdami would actually have this man arrested. But beyond that, I think you need to start paying attention to a. to something that is happening, and it's not a coincidence.
but we are watching the rise of political Islam in America. And what I mean by that, we are watching Islamists now running for office, and now they are actually being elected in many of the major American cities. And that is going to be a big problem moving forward. And we will see, you know, ma'am, Dami last night. came out and basically vilified Immigration and customs enforcement agents.
You know, it's interesting. They conducted some raids day before yesterday on Canal Street. Any of you who have been to New York City, and you know exactly what I'm talking about here: Canal Street, you can barely walk down the sidewalks.
Now, there are huge sidewalks, but the problem is you have all of these foreigners and they've set up shop. They're literally selling their wares.
Sometimes they're just spreading it out on the sidewalk, and people are going and purchasing.
Meanwhile, the poor shopkeepers who actually own businesses, nobody's helping them at all. It's really unfortunate.
So ICE came in and they cleaned all of that out in one day.
Somebody posted some video this morning of Canal Street. There were no none of these people out there selling their wares. None of them.
So, anyway, man, Domi is now threatening to basically ban ICE. From New York City And he's going to use this New York Sanctuary City policy to make that happen. But there will be no cooperation between ICE and City Hall under any of their administrations. Cuomo, Sleewa, and Mandami all agree. I'm just saying, you know.
Here's the deal about Salewa, and I'm somewhat torn because the guy is a Republican, or at least he's got the Republican nomination. Nobody else bothered to throw their name into the hat. Nobody.
So now you've got all these liberal Democrats that hate Cuomo. They really despise Mandami. And so they're throwing him with Sliwa. And Sliwa's turning around and he's attacking them publicly, saying he doesn't want their support. What is going on with this guy?
Does he do drugs? Is something going on there? Is he does he have some sort of a mental defect here? At this point, Sliwa needs every living, breathing person. And dare I say, it wouldn't hurt to have a few graveyard votes.
I mean, he's going to need all of these votes if he has any shot at winning. And it seems as though Slewa is going out of his way. To make sure that Zoron Mamdami is the winner of this race, I just do not get that at all. It is the craziest thing. And honestly, all of them were just doing a terrible, terrible job last night during this debate.
I've never seen anything quite like this at all. But we'll take your calls on that.
Meanwhile, Democrats are now really showing their face. Let me just say, it's about to get really ugly in America. And I want to explain why.
So the government shut down. There is no end in sight. Democrats are now entrenched. They're not going anywhere. And they're the ones that are going to have to move.
The Republicans. first of all, are not moving, which I'm great greatly appreciative of, but the reality is they can't. Because the minute the Republicans cave, they lose the midterm elections. It is that serious.
So that's why the Republicans aren't going anywhere. That being said, MTG Is really upset about all of this. And she is blaming, MTG is actually blaming. President Trump and the Republicans, well, she's blaming the Republicans and House Speaker Mike Johnson for the shutdown.
So she was on a Tucker yesterday. Here's what she had to say. You know, a lot of people are happy about the government shutdown, but I really have no respect for the House not being in session. And I have no respect for Speaker Johnson not calling us back to Washington because we should be passing bills. We should be passing bills that reflect the president's executive orders, which are exactly what we voted for.
We should be at work on our committees. We should be doing investigations. And you want to know something? We should be passing the discharge petition that Thomas Massey put in to release the Epstein files. Those are the things that we should be doing.
And we, most of all, Tucker, we should be passing our appropriation bills to actually fund the government and fund important projects that taxpayer dollars, these people pay their taxes. This is how taxpayer dollars come back to your districts. We should be doing that. But no, we're not. And these are the things that this is why I have no respect so many times for our party because they get on board and they campaign and they say America first and they try to utter and mimic these Donald Trump talking points.
But when it actually comes to getting to work and delivering those talking points into action for the American people, the people that voted for them, The people that knocked doors for them, that the sweet little ladies that gave $3, crumpled up dollars out of their pocketbook. I mean, all these people that worked so hard to give us the majority, when it comes time to doing that, what are we doing? We're sitting at home. And that's something that grinds me. Absolutely grinds me.
I have no respect for it. All right, so there you go. You've got MTG going after Speaker Johnson. And CNN asked Mike Johnson about this and He dropped a bless her heart on MTG. Look, I mean, MTG does have a valid point here.
And I, again, there's a lot to be critical of when it comes to. To the speaker's office. I get that. But the reality of it is. That this could turn on the Republicans very quickly.
And I say that only because the media and the Democrats will be working in cahoots here. And when all the food stamp money starts to dry up, and this is where I say we're coming into the danger zone, when all of the food stamp money dries up, there are going to be people in the streets enraged over this, and they're going to be looking for somebody to blame. And the Republicans need to forcefully get out there. And lay this at the feet of the Democrats and the Schumer shutdown. Even then, that's going to be hard.
So, what happens when the blowback hits the Republicans? Will the Republicans start to waver a bit? You know, the other part of this is that a lot of government workers are now not showing up for jobs because many of them are having to show up and they're not getting a paycheck. And I personally have a problem with that. I mean, if you're expected, if your job is is to go and to Is to go in, for example, if you're in the air traffic control towers, right?
If you're in those towers and you're required to be there, then you ought to be getting a paycheck. I don't care if the government is shut down. It seems to me if you're an essential peo if you are essential personnel, then you at least ought to be paid. But that's not happening. And so now people are starting to stay home.
And the other big part of this will be airline travel, which is going to be impacted. It's already been impacted. Here is Sean Duffy, COT 20. I can't guarantee you that your flight's going to be on time. I can't guarantee you that your flight's not going to be canceled.
It's going to depend on our air traffic controllers coming in to work every single day. And again, my message to them is. One, thank you for coming and working. We appreciate that. Come to work, even if you don't get a paycheck.
We need you to come to work. Uh but uh if they do not We'll know whose fault it is. Yes, we will. The question is: Are the American people going to be able to put the blame where it needs to be put? That's the question.
So again, this is good old-fashioned standoff, ladies and gentlemen. Stalemate, we have neither side is budging one bit. And it's overwhelming for me to see all of this. And especially when you have Democrats now coming out and admitting What this is really all about. I want you to listen to Catherine Clark.
You may not know her voice, but she is one of the top Democrats. She is the number two House Democrat. And she is very powerful. And she sat down with Fox, Chad Pergram, yesterday, and she explained what the strategy here is with the Democrats. Take a listen to Cut 10.
I mean, shutdowns are terrible. And of course, there will be, you know, families that are going to suffer. We take that responsibility very seriously. But it is one of the few leverage times we have.
So you She admitted, I mean, it's just shocking. That she admitted this, but she did. She actually. admitted, ladies and gentlemen, that they were counting on you people suffering. They were counting on it because they want this to be incredibly painful to you.
They want you to suffer because they want to use that suffering as the leverage to convince the Republicans to cave in and surrender on the Trump agenda.
So that's why they haven't budged one bit. A lot of people we've been getting calls. Tom, we don't understand what's going on here. All the polling data shows that the people want they're blaming the Democrats right now. They want the government reopened.
Why aren't the Democrats doing this? And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the reason why. The Democrats truly believe that the Republicans will eventually cave here. and will give in. And I don't think Johnson.
Look, Johnson, I don't think he's going to be able to do it. He's not going to cave. At all.
So this is where we are, ladies and gentlemen, and it's going to get uglier and it's going to be more painful for the American people. My recommendation, if you've got to travel somewhere by plane over the next month or so when the shutdown is still underway, you might want to consider driving. Aside from the fact that a good many of the truck drivers don't speak English anymore and can't read road signs. We'll get to that story in just a moment. All right, got to take a break here.
901-260-5926. Do you want the Republicans to hold their ground here, ladies and gentlemen? 901-260-5926. This is the Todd Stearns show. Hi, this is Todd Stearns, and I'd like to take a moment to tell you about something I'm really excited about.
It's more important today than ever. It's called Freedom Chat, a next-gen messaging app designed for people who still believe in privacy and free speech. The team just launched their alpha version, and it's available today on both Android and iPhone. I'd like you to download it right now. Unlike the so-called free apps that spy on you, sell your data, Freedom Chat was built with your privacy first.
Your messages are end-to-end encrypted, they're not stored on servers, even screenshots are blocked. No tracking, no mining, no listening in, just private communication the way it ought to be. And here's something I especially Like Freedom Chat has no ties to big tech. It's built by people that I trust, and you should too. I believe in it so much, I've created my own private channel inside Freedom Chat at Todd Starnes, which you can subscribe to.
That's freedomchat.com, where freedom still means something. Freedomchat.com. Very different. Those were different times and different circumstances. Let me explain why.
This is the first time in history that any party has chosen to close the government down on a clean CR. And in previous shutdown battles, you had a lot of different competing priorities, and you had the party who was engaging in the shutdown making demands and adding their partisan priorities to the CR itself. We didn't do that, Caitlin. We have a totally clean, totally nonpartisan, good faith CR. We passed it 33 days ago, and they have kept the government shut down because they refused to do it.
It's the first time this has ever happened in history, and it's very audacious. We don't know when the end of this is. Only the Democrats in the Senate can answer that question. And I pray that there's at least five centrist Democrats left who will give up this gambit, do the right thing, and get the government open because real people really are suffering because of this. Yeah.
Well, it and that is true. And there are people that are going to be in need and they're going to have to do without until the Democrats and you know, can get their Can get their act together. And that could be a a very long time. May I I bring your attention to a state rep representative out of Texas. And I don't know what's in the water in Texas with these Democrats, but you know, I.
Dare I say, we need to introduce the shucking and jiving. Theme song for yet another Democrat lawmaker. Good job. All right, no, it's not Jasmine Crockett. I mean, this is the Jasmine Crockett theme song.
So, we're going to have to come up with another theme song, I guess, because we've got a new state. This one's a state representative. Her name is. Is it Jolanda or it Jolanda Jones? Or it could be Yolanda, but I don't know what the JS Island.
Yolanda Yones. No, that's no, that doesn't work. It's Jolanda. She goes by Joe. And Jolanda is very upset with all of you Republicans out there.
As a matter of fact, and I want to describe, because you can't you can't see, this is radio, so you must hear, and it is theater of the mind.
So if I may explain what she is doing, as she is illustrating what she wants to do to Republicans, she is using a slashing motion Across her neck as if she wanted to slit your throats. This is Texas House Democrat. Jolanda Jones Pro. I'm from the hood, okay?
So when a bully comes, like, if there are no rules, you literally have to figure it out.
So Donald Trump has changed things and people trying to do what's always been done is not going to work. And I think that's why Democrats are losing black people. That's why they're losing poor people because poor people, all they want is for us to fight.
So if you hit me in my face, I'm not going to punch you back in your face. I'm going to go across your neck. Because we can go back and forth fighting in each other's faces. You've got to hit hard enough where they won't come back. And so, yeah, for the same way I went to New York and spoke with Governor Kathy Hochul and said, if they're going to try to wipe us out.
In Texas, we need to wipe out every Republican in New York and California and Illinois so no one can make me feel bad. About fighting for the people that I represent. Because the people that I represent need someone who's willing to go in the ring and fight for them, and that's exactly what I'm going to do. All right, she be from the hood, ladies and gentlemen. Yolanda Jones.
Can we play the very first section again? I want to make sure I got that correct. I'm from the hood. Thank you. All right.
I'm from the hood. Yes, yes, you are, Sister Man. She be from the hood, ladies and gentlemen. And I don't know what that means. What is that?
What does that mean? Is she going to go. I read that. No, is she going to go, ghetto? I on you?
Is that what that means? I don't. She's insinuating that being from the hood is a bad thing. And then she turns around and says that she wants to kill Republicans.
So there you go. I mean, she's not the only one. Ladies and gentlemen. It would be f It would be easy to dismiss this as political jargon and You know, whatever. We got to take these people seriously.
We've got to start taking these Democrats very seriously. Unbelievable. All right, 901-260-5926. This is the Todd Sterns Show. Wow, this is this is a crazy story involving the the NBA and You know, it's interesting. Stephen A. Smith has a very interesting take on all of this. And uh by the way, welcome back. This is the Tom Sterns radio show.
More than thirty people arrested today. Huge story. The FBI wrapping up a very long press conference earlier this morning. And among the people that and Dylan, I mean, are you are you shocked? To hear this news is insane, the numbers of people.
and the head coach of the Portland Trailblazers. I'm shocked and I'm not shocked.
Well, you know everybody's gambling. Everyone's gambling. You just can't get caught. And apparently, the mafia is involved now. You know, somebody's getting whacked.
It's pretty crazy. And what the Miami Heat, one of their stars. Yeah.
Caught up in all of this.
Well, former, no, he's the current one. And then you had Damon Jones, who is a former coach and NBA player. All arrested today. And it turns out that all of this involves the Lacosa Nostra or Lacosa Nostra, however you want to call it, crime families. Two operations across several states And Cash Patel leading the press conference, eleven states, thirty four people arrested, including multiple MBA players and coaches who allegedly took advantage of their positions of power to rig gambling systems for their own benefit.
This is insane.
So now Well, it turns out the NBA has already placed Phillips on immediate leave of absence.
Well, it's hard to coach when you're you're in leg shackles.
Sorry, it's I feel bad for the coach, but there you go. Stephen A. Smith says that all of this is Trump payback.
So Trump, Stephen A. Smith of ESPN actually says. That this was all part of a revenge plot by Donald Trump, and it's only beginning. And Smith says that now the WNBA is going to be in the crosshairs as well. Really?
You think that's the case? I know that the NBA doesn't like Trump all that much, but. I you know Uh yeah. Is it possible that this had absolutely nothing to do with Donald Trump? Stephen A.
Smith says, I'm watching a press conference with the director of the FBI. Tell me when we've seen that. We've seen accusations before. We've seen athletes get in trouble with the law before. You don't see the director of the FBI having a press conference.
Well, that's because you don't have more than 30 people arrested. At the same time, Stephen A. Smith, I won't. In his eyes, Smith continues here. Folks tried to throw Trump in jail.
In his eyes, yes, but not the NBA. The NBA had nothing to do with that. I think Stephen A. is reading a lot more into this. But we'll keep you updated if we get any more names of players.
And I mean, this is a big, big deal. And we'll see how all this plays out. Oh, did you hear this news speaking of sports? We're going to be busy later in the show. I've got to get this story out there.
And, Dylan, I'm very curious to hear your thoughts on this. There's a veteran college football referee does a lot of the SEC games. And his name is Ken Williamson, and he's now been suspended. permanently After officiating the Auburn, Georgia game. tons of complaints.
There were eleven against Williamson and his crew during the Auburn, Georgia game. This is all according to Yellowhammer News. And nine of the complaints were validated by conference officials. I mean, is it just me? And I mean, you watch a lot of college football.
It just seems like the officiating has been, it was, it's been bad and it's getting worse every season. Oh, it's terrible, especially when your favorite team's playing.
Well, that shouldn't matter, but yes. No, no, it's bad. I don't know what the fix is. I mean, obviously, people make mistakes, but if you're having like 11. people that are official complaining about you.
There might be something fishy going on.
So there was this one play where Auburn, the QB, lost the ball near the one-yard line. They're doing the old quarterback sneak, and it turned out that Georgia recovered the ball. But ABC you know, they were going back live during the ABC broadcast and it clearly showed Jackson crossing the goal line before the ball got punched out. but the officials ruled it a fumble and instead of a touchdown. Yeah, I feel like if you're a referee nowadays in today's game with like all the cameras and the computers that we have going on.
You might want to do your job pretty well because fans are obviously always going to be mad at you, but now we have like Very tight. clear camera shots of what happened.
So. And I don't mean to say anything bad about this guy, but he's old. I mean, he's been officiating football for forty-one years.
So I'm wondering, you know, does that affect your judgment, your vision? Whether or not you can actually get down to where the plays be. I'm just, I have nothing as old people. I'm about to be one. But You know, if you're going to be an official in a very big game like this, You know, you need to make sure that you've got the best and the brightest out there officiating.
the most competent. Anyway, a lot of people have just been very upset across the board with the referees and the officiating in these college football games going back and I You don't want to bring this up, but I mean, some of this stuff is so blatant, you wonder: okay, are people. People get a little something-something here.
Something going on. I love football conspiracies. Is money being exchanged? People say that about the NFL, about how it's rigged. How do you know which team's going to make the Super Bowl?
College football, I can see it too. There's so much money now going into college football, so it wouldn't surprise me. Telling me that Kansas City's not really winning all those games? You think they're getting some help? I know they're four and seven right now, but they're probably going to the Super Bowl.
The only four in seventeen to go to the Super Yeah. Wow.
Well, it's something they're going to have to deal with. I have noticed this, and I don't know if you, I don't know why I pay attention to this. But back in the 90s The 90s and early 2000s, Dullen. When you looked at those football stadiums, It didn't matter if you had a lousy team, those stands were packed. And now even even the top teams, you are seeing empty places in the in the stands.
Yeah, it's kinda sad. It kinda makes you wonder what's going are people losing interest? They just don't care anymore, they can't afford the tickets. What's going on, I wonder? I wonder too.
I mean, I feel like with the NIL stuff, people are just kind of getting. Um bored of the same teams winning all the time 'cause of how much money they have. It's kind of like if you have the most money, then you're probably going to be in the college football championships because you can pay for the best players.
So here's the deal with the NIL. The problem is, with the NIL, there went all of the loyalty, right? You're not playing for the team, you're playing for the Almighty Dollar. And the players, at least before NIL, if you were saying, you know, let's just say that you were at, um, We'll call we'll say UGA. If you're at the University of Georgia, you're playing at University of Georgia all four years.
And so you've got a fan base. First of all, these kids and that was a time when the players were in fact going to class. And you got to see the players, you ate in the cafeteria with them, now they've got their own private dining halls and all that kind of stuff.
So there's no interaction with the student body. The fan base, they don't have a chance to get attached. I mean, it's something to watch an athlete come in as a freshman and then watch them progress, you know, to that senior status and then go off to the NFL. That has now been denied. That's been ripped out of the whole college football experience.
And that was just a big business. And a lot of people just don't want to invest the time and energy. And they have no personal connection now because you never know when somebody's going to get a better deal in another school. I feel like it's gonna get worse before it gets better because More money that gets poured in. You can't just all of a sudden say, all right, we're not gonna pay you.
or we're not going to do this because then You know, they're not going to play at all. You're going to go to your school. The argument is that, well, the coaches get paid big money. Yes, it's yes, they do, and it's their job. And I would contend that the point is these are student athletes.
And so that's the significant part of that is the student part. And if they're playing for a football team and they're getting a four-year degree, that should be treated as some sort of a salary or a pay incentive because that is going to last them a lifetime. You know, these players, I mean, if you're lucky, what, you play until maybe your early 30s? Yeah.
And then that's it. That's it.
So, you know, you're given the opportunity to set yourself up. for life after football, and that's on the university. Yeah, and it's not even taking into account things that you can't plan on happening, like injuries or. anything else that could happen to your career, you're getting millions of dollars as a nineteen-year-old. and you break your ankle.
Well, that's you're you're done. It's a mess, and I hate it because it doesn't need to be a mess. I don't think it's going to last, but I don't know how it's going to stop at the same time. You know, I look at even the situation, like, for example, of the University of Memphis, and they've had a pretty decent season. They play cramped teams and nobody shows up.
But the whole point of remodeling, they're spending, what, tens of millions of dollars remodeling the stadium, taking out, what, 20,000 seats or something? They still can't fill up the state. I mean, it's, they could have taken it down to a junior college level and they would have been just fine. I went to the Arkansas game, which was r uh, you know, our biggest game. Arguably, this year.
That's sad. It is sad because Argentina was terrible. But it was like, unquote, sold out. There was like thirty thousand people there. That stadium used to fit sixty one thousand people and it's It is what it is.
Going back to the 1980s, Memphis showboats played, it was packed. You could not get a ticket. But it's sad when you look at, for example, Birmingham, there was a there they had maybe twelve hundred people show up for the game. Or look at UCLA. Jeez a loop, what's going on down there?
It's just terrible.
So, I'm just wondering why are people tuning out now? Have they just grown weary of? Football is the NFL and all the wokeness in the NFL. You know, has that played an impact in the college level now? You know, they're trying to shove soccer on everybody, and I just can't.
I just I will never get around to soccer. I can't do it. Football. Fruit, fruit, ball. I can't I couldn't uh what was the guy there was a great T V show Oh, about the uh British soccer guy.
What was that? It was on Apple TV. Or Ted Lasso. Ted Lasso. I barely tolerated that.
And that was a great show, but I just like. Really? They had to make him a soccer coach? That's terrible. Man, that was a good show.
It was a great show. I just can't figure out for the life of me. Why soccer is so, you know, it's not popular here in the southern states, and which is why they have to keep moving the teams out. We just lost ours. Oh, yeah, we did.
But I don't know how many people were even going to those. But now they didn't even want to because it's downtown Memphis.
Well, the problem was that the games are so tedious, right? Yeah.
Oh, my God, that was a great game. It was like one to nothing. And it's on a baseball field. That's hard. Got sand somewhere.
Jeez the loop. Anyway, that's so much for your sports update. I'm not sure where that came from. We have so much to talk about. Oh, James Carville, we are switching gears here, slamming on the brakes and getting back to politics.
So look, um These Democrats I'm concerned about these people. I'm concerned about the way they think. And the reason I'm concerned is that there are a lot of conservatives that are just. Good, decent, law-abiding, love America people, you wouldn't hurt a fly. and I'm concerned they're going to start targeting you guys.
And I mean in a very bad way.
So here's James Carville. And he is suggesting that Trump supporters, all of you guys, so if you voted for let's just say this. If you voted for Donald J. Trump, just raise your hand. Wherever you are, raise your hand.
So he's talking about you here. Here's what he says needs to happen to all of the Trump supporters in America. You know what we do with collaborators. Right. And I my fantasy.
Dream. Is that this nightmare ends? In 2029, And I I think we ought to have radical things I think they all ought to have their heads shaven, they should be put in orange pajamas, and it should be marched down Pennsylvania Avenue, and the public should be invited to spit on it. All of these collaborators should be. shaved, pajama, and spito.
It's a moral judgment. Yeah.
Bend the knee to a Criminal And that's what he is. Understand. He is a critic. terminal. Thirty-four Convictions would have been a lot more.
Okay, if if if they would have pursued it. He is a target. He has no use for democracy. He has no use for the values of his country. and you are collaborating with this.
And it will bring eternal shame to you. your company. That's James Carville, ladies and gentlemen. He was the campaign manager for William Jefferson Clinton. And he says, All of you Trump supporters, you need to have your head shaved.
You need to be dressed up in orange pajamas and paraded down the streets of our nation's capital. You know, um And the reason why is that so the so that so that all of the Democrats can line the streets and spit on you as you pass by. Not a single person in that podcast disagreed. As a matter of fact, they chuckled and agreed with him. This is incredibly troubling because this is exactly what they did to the Jews back in the nineteen thirties as they were marching them off to the concentration camps.
They shaved their heads, they put them in these striped pajamas, and they paraded them through the streets of the cities, spitting on them. Do do you see these people are insane? It was Bernie Sanders, our good friend James O'Keefe, then at Project Veritas, actually interviewed one of Bernie Sanders' staff members on the campaign when Bernie was running against Hillary. And they said if they won, their goal would be to put all of the Trump supporters into re-education camps. All of this was on video, by the way.
All of it captured on that secret video. They wanted to put them in. Trump supporters in re-education camps. Does this kind of rhetoric concern you, ladies and gentlemen? 901-260-5926.
We'll be right back. All right, let's go to Dahlonega, Georgia. Great town in the North Georgia Mountains. Anna. Hi Anna, what's on your mind today?
Well, I just wanted to bring up a point there. Everybody I hear Democrats talk about being in a democracy, but we don't live in a democracy. We live in a constitutional representative republic. And as far as those guys laugh I think they were laughing at him. Right.
I think they realize that he's lost his marbles and, you know, I would think there's a certain level of dignity that goes along with being a spokesperson.
However, Strange they might be that you know you have to maintain. And he's he's, I don't know what he's doing. He it's too bad. Because he doesn't look like he's lucid, and he, you know, he's an older man, like, well, I'm an older woman, but. you know, you got to maintain some kind of decency when you're talking about the the other people that you don't agree with Critical thinking is really important.
And But of course, critical thinking between Republicans and Democrats. probably not possible anymore. Um I d I don't know. I don't I don't I don't know what he's doing. I I don't know why he's doing it and, um, But his I guess it's entertainment value for him.
Well, you see, I don't think so. I think it's all about the messaging. And James Carville is a pretty smart, he's a pretty smart guy, even though he is crazy. But when you've got all this very violent rhetoric coming from the Democrats these days, from this Texas state representative, you've got members of Congress. Maxine Waters got in their face, absolutely harassed them.
Obama, if they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun. Eric Holder, when they go low, we go lower. This is not happening in some sort of a vacuum. And that's what really concerns me, Anna. We'll talk more about it on the other side of the break, but thank you for calling in, Anna, and good hearing from you.
All right, 901-260-5926. Do you think we should take these threats seriously? Is the question. We'll be right back, everybody. Live from the Liberty University Studio in Memphis, Tennessee.
It's America's conservative blowtorch. That's right. I love this American. All right, well, hello, everybody. Welcome to the big show.
Good to have you with us today. Just a lot going on. It has been a non-stop. News cycle, everybody. By the way, don't forget tonight, 5 o'clock Eastern, the Todd Stern Show on Newsmax.
Hope you will join us. And next week, we'll be broadcasting live from the University of Mississippi. Oh, Miss. Hotty toatty, Dylan. Hotty Totty.
Go Tiger. By the way, Little Stern's got his acceptance letter. Oh, my gosh, I saw that. Did you see that? That's exciting.
I'm so proud of him. I know. He's going to. I'm hoping he's going to be a journalism major. Kind of.
Kind of edging, you know, just kind of encouraging him. He's going to be a football major.
Well, we're very excited about this. And so he got the acceptance letter.
So we'll have another old Miss Rubble in the family.
So it is hottie-totty. Yes, it is.
So we have got a lot going on here this hour, especially as we're watching the government shutdown. We will keep you updated if there are any new developments. I do want to go right away to the Patriot Mobile newsmaker line because we're honored to have, I know she's not a big old Miss fan, and I know she's not a University of Tennessee fan, our good friend Kat Kamick, a Congresswoman.
Okay. Good to have you back with us. Oh, it's good to be back with you, Todd. And yes, we could start with college football, you know, SEC if you want. Gators, we we have we've been in the news a little bit here in the last few days.
We're struggling. Tennessee, we just, we cannot catch a break. It's been, it's been insane. You know, it is. Funny how the SEC just collectively, you know, we're looking around at each other like, hmm.
We had such high hopes. For the people who do the national rankings before the season gets started, do they just get together in a room and they're like, We're going to screw up these people's seasons as much as humanly possible? Because we all start out great. And rank And then we go down the tubes. I don't know what's going on, but uh We we we we uh We get to this part of the season and we're like, oh, better luck next year.
But I do think we do we need to talk about these college coaching buyouts. contracts. In the University of Florida here in Gainesville, Billy Napier is looking at a $19,20 million buyout. Insane. It's insane, but I mean, if you look at SSU, their coach is a $50 million buyout.
And that's why they're not going to let him go, despite having lost nine ACC games in a row. wild. Why did we not become Failed college football coaches. You know what we ought to do? We ought to do a full like hour special show.
I'll fly up to D.C. and we'll get like Senator Tubberville. We'll just do congressional, you know, congress people on sports. We could do a full hour. Absolutely.
I think that that would be highly entertaining and maybe a little depressing. Yes. Yeah, no doubt about that. By the way, we haven't had you on since you had the baby. How's the little one doing?
Oh, Augie is amazing. I highly recommend that people have kids and lots of them. Um It is truly a blessing to have a healthy little baby girl and. She makes the work that we do that much more important and meaningful. And Matt and I just couldn't be more blessed.
She's happy, smiling, giggling. And we're just so thrilled to have a Healthy, happy little girl. That's just wonderful. I know a lot of our audience we've been following. All of the developments and prayers have been going your way.
So it's excited to have you back in the mix again up on Capitol Hill, too. Yes, yes. We got back to work two weeks after giving birth. Matt and I, we got on a train. And she took a 16-hour train ride to Washington from Florida to DC with little Auggie in tow, and she did great.
She's made the rounds on Capitol Hill. In fact, Of a funny story. Capitol Hill is not built for. Women postpartum, very few changing tables, if any, certainly no nursing rooms. And so I snuck into the speaker ceremonial signing room.
Uh to nurse Augie. And the speaker busted in to sign some papers, looks at me, looks at her, and he says. You can have the room any time you need it. I'm out. Yeah.
Yeah.
Oh my God. That's a great story. Wow.
Okay. Let's talk shutdown. I am stunned by Catherine Clark and what she said last night. She was talking to Chad Pergram, who's a good buddy of mine. And I don't know if you knew this about Chad, just a brief aside.
He's a big heavy metal rock fan. Did you know that? I did not know that about that. You would never think that in a bazillion years, but that's his jam. Anyway, he did a sit-down with Catherine Clark.
And here's what Catherine Clark had to say about the shutdown. I cut three please. I mean, shutdowns are terrible. And of course, there will be families that are going to suffer. We take that responsibility very seriously.
but it is one of the few leverage times we have. Oh my God, w we know that's true, but I I'm just shocked they said it out loud. Yeah, I mean talk about saying the quiet part out loud and being out of touch. To think that you are so removed from reality, so insulated. And that you can say something like that, and people are not going to stop and say.
What? I mean, the left has just lost their mind entirely. Shutdowns are never good for anyone. I remember back in the day when people would say, shut it down, shut it down. And I'd say, listen, I'm all for less government, but people don't realize that when a government shuts down, you actually spend more money.
Um and you have people that are furloughed. Um, that you know, they're looking for how do I make my rent, how do I pay the bills, you know, feed my family, and then you've got people. Uh, like air traffic controllers and TSA and our border patrol ICE, they're required to show up to work. They're working, not getting paid. And I think an extra slap in the face as we're staring down this shutdown is the Capitol police officers.
that are having to protect these radical leftists who are screaming about the shutdown. claiming blame is falling squarely on the Republican shoulders. These guys and gals are working without pay. to protect these same Democrats who are keeping the government shut down. They have to stare at these people in their face every single day and listen to nonsense like that.
being called leverage. Can you imagine someone saying, oh, you're I know you're hurting, but it's the only leverage that we have. We're going to basically capitalize on your pain and suffering. Wow.
Absolutely out of touch. Incredible that she said that out loud, and then had the nerve. to go back after uh After she said it, and say, Oh, it's been taken out of context. No, no, Catherine, that's what you said. You said what you said, and you meant what you said.
You know, when the majority leaders said, hey, this is going to start getting really painful for a lot of people, I just don't think they understood that, you know what, those SNAP benefits are going away for millions of Americans coming up in November. And this is all on the Democrats. And my only concern here, Congresswoman, is that. You know, we know how the media is, and people who may not be glued into politics every single day, making sure that the Republicans don't catch the blowback here on this. Yeah, I think that's why it's so important that we're out there continuing to tell the truth.
tell the facts of of what is going on, really lay out how we got to this point. And for me, I do a lot of media, and in particular, social media. trying to reach different demographics, not just in my own district, but around the country. Explaining the process. Because what I have found is people By their very nature, they are pretty cynical and they're not going to accept things at face value.
And that's fine, that's actually pretty healthy. And I'm glad to see that. But what people do not understand all the time is the process. Heck, I know members of Congress that don't understand the process. Once you educate people on the process of This is how a CR functions.
This is how you get it across the finish line. This is what it does. you basically make it so you can't BS people. If they know the process, they know when you are being honest and truthful. And once people have started to understand, oh, the House passed their bill on september nineteenth, oh, the Senate needs sixty votes in order to get this to the President's desk, Oh, Republicans actually don't control everything in Washington, and it's the Democrats that we're waiting on.
Oh, I get it now. It's the Democrats who voted for this bill four times previously. that don't want to do this because they need us to clean up their mess. At the end of the day, What they're asking for is not a, hey, we're going to fight for the American people, it is a shakedown. for liberal, radical, leftist project.
That's what it is. And if they think for one second that we're going to allow for healthcare to be given to non-citizens. or to fund radical Leftist media sites or do pet projects like LGBTQIA. Plus projects overseas in Africa. Or give $400 billion in subsidies to insurance companies that are making 200% profits.
No, we're not going to do that. We don't have healthcare in this country is sick care. And we need to actually fix it rather than just keep throwing money at it. You can tell I get worked up about it. No, no, no.
Look, I'm just sitting back and taking it all in here because it's so refreshing to see the Republicans taking a stand. I mean, you guys have not budged. The Speaker is going out every single day. And I think the messaging here and the comms effort has really been phenomenal. Yeah.
Yes, I mean, the speaker has been such a leader, and honestly, a fearless leader. and going out. and and talking through any media Platform, whether it's CNN, whether it's Fox, whether it is CNBC, he has not been afraid to go on every show. and lay out the facts. And God bless the man, he's got the patience of Job.
He has tolerated endless streams of falsehoods and sneers. And he just still remains that happy warrior. Telling our story because it is true, Republicans in the House we did our job. Heck, we even had some Democrats join with us. in the effort to keep the government open.
At the end of the day, we just have to get the government back open. That people who are working can get those paychecks, people who depend on some of these programs, like WIC, as a new mom. I cannot fathom. How stressful. it must be or would be to be dependent on programs to feed my baby.
And these are the things that the Democrats are utilizing as political leverage, using women and children as political pawns. It's disgusting. I just, I think that in the long run, people are going to see this for what it is. It is more of the same from the political establishment. They elected Donald Trump and Republican for a change.
And where this ends up, I don't know. I mean, I'm even starting to hear the nuclear option getting talked around talked about in the Senate. um you know, blowing up the filibuster, which we all know has tremendous consequences if it comes to that. Let's hope and pray that it does not. But the American people have a role to play here, and that is calling up your Democrat senators and telling them to reopen the government and vote for the same bill that they have supported four times previously.
That's it.
Before we let you go, Congresswoman, there's been a lot of rhetoric out there coming from the Democrats. And I want to play this comment from James Carville. He was doing a podcast, and here's he really wants to punish Trump supporters. And it's really shocking when you hear the description. Can we play cut one, please?
You know what we do with collaborators. Right. And I my fantasy. Dream. Is that this nightmare ends?
In 2029 And I I think we ought to have radical things. I think they all ought to have their heads shaven, they should be put in orange pajamas, and it should be marched down Pennsylvania Avenue, and the public should be invited to spit on them. All of these collaborators should be Shaved, pajama, and spiro. It's a moral judgment. Yeah.
Bend the knee to a a terminal Carrot, and that's what he is. Understand, he is a terminal. Thirty four Convictions would have been a lot more.
Okay, if if if they would have pursued it. Here's a turret. He has no use for democracy. He has no use for the values of his country. and you are collaborating with this.
and it will bring eternal shame to your company. This is James Carville, the guy who ran Bill Clinton's campaign with that sort of rhetoric out there, Congresswoman. Todd, I I I don't even have the words. I hadn't heard that clip. My jaw is literally on the desk right now, just listening to that.
Holy smoke I I I simply just don't have The words. Um They they really do hate half of America. That that honestly makes me terribly sad. That that is that that's How he feels. And again, you know, I look at these no kings rallies.
You know, he said, you know, he's a tyrant. I had the opportunity to actually crash a No Kings rally over the weekend. And the thing that struck me was Was that if we did, in fact, have a king, they wouldn't be able to assemble and protest their own government. Um that just wouldn't have have happened and and the irony of that has not been lost on me. It clearly has been lost on them, but Wow, that is disgusting.
And unfortunately, I feel like we're going to see more of that rhetoric and hear more of that rhetoric. moving forward but Again, I think the American people They see how desperate the left has become. It's more of the same. It's the fear-mongering. He's this, he's that.
It's the slurs, the name calling. And people are just done with that. They are done with that. And so I have full confidence that not only will we be successful in the midterms. But looking ahead, to the next presidential election.
I hope that AFB and Bernie and Jasmine Crockett and Mondami are their front runners and their Um Because what they want for this country is quite frankly, the antithesis of what we are all about, which is freedom, liberty. And and and Okay. Opportunity and um So that'll be interesting to see how this shakes out. I'm still a little bit stunned that he he said that. Shocking.
Shocking. Cat, we're we're going to have to leave it there. It's so good to have you back with us, and we'll get you back on very soon. And congratulations, and we're just so excited for you and your family. Oh, I appreciate it.
Thank you so much, Todd, and I hope to talk to you soon. All right. Ladies and gentlemen, Congresswoman Kamick from the great state of Florida, and a lot of information she dropped here today, and we certainly appreciate her time with us. All right, we've got to take a quick break here: 901-260-5926. We'll get your reaction to that interview, plus James Carville's comments coming up next.
All righty, hello, I lost my headphones. It's only Thursday. We're going to get to Friday. Trust me, everybody. Welcome back.
To the Todd Starns Radio Show. You know, I have to tell you about our friends over at Newsmax, and they just do some great work. And by the way, my next book, which I've already started writing, is going to be published by their book division, Humanics. And we're going to have a lot of fun with that book. Our good friend, Pastor Lucas Miles, has a brand new project out with Newsmax.
It's called Pagan Threat. And this book explores the wokeness that has infected America, and it's really been well received.
Now, number one on Amazon, doing quite well. And Pagan Threat is available wherever books are sold.
Now, Lucas is also in charge of Turning Point USA Faith.
So he knew Charlie Kirk very, very well. As a matter of fact, Charlie wrote the forward to the book. And this was the last. The last writing that Charlie did before he was assassinated.
So, I want to encourage you to go online and get yourself a copy of it to paganthreat.com. That's paganthreat.com. You'll be able to get the book free of charge thanks to a very special offer from our friends at Newsmax, but you have to go to paganthreat.com to make that happen. All right, hang tight, everybody. We will be right back.
Oh, my word. All right, welcome back, everybody. It's just, you know. It's really funny. I have been on the road for It feels like months, and I think I have been.
And next weekend, heading out to Branson, where I'll be speaking to the National Association of Christian Lawmakers. That's going to be a lot of fun. We are honoring, this is a blast from the past. Remember, the former Attorney General, John Ashcroft. He's getting an award.
You know what we got to do? Hold on, Dylan. I want you to pull up. John Ashcroft, I think it's called When Eagles Fly, When Eagles Soar, he cut an album when he was Attorney General. It was.
It was all the rage among the Republican kids back in the day. Luke Simbel, do you remember that? I don't remember. That was before my time, I think. When Eagle Soars, it was a very beautiful song.
Dylan, let me know when we got it. We'll play some for Luke. You know, it's going to be a good segment when Todd Starn starts singing. No, that is not good at all. And I'm sure I'll be getting hate mail from the affiliates very shortly.
Luke Simbel, a member of your Republican, you're an uppity-up with Republicans. You're a committee man, right? Yes. I mean, I'm on the local and the National Board of the Young Republicans, although. It's getting tiring.
I must say, you know, text you, yes. Oh, my gosh. I was not on that text, Jake. No. Can I just say, can we just focus on electing Republicans?
I mean, that's all I want to. We need to be in New Jersey. We need to be in Virginia right now. You know, next year we have the midterms. All I want to do is focus on electing Republicans.
It's insane. I had Senator George Allen on my, you know, the former senator and governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia. And it's funny. There were three major races. He only wanted to talk about one.
And I'm sitting here going, Wow. And that tells you, that's a clue. That's a sign that things aren't going well for Republicans in Virginia. And the problem is we're not picking strong candidates. And just, I just want to throw that out there.
But if you've got a candidate that's into gay Nazi porn, probably doesn't need to be on the Republican ticket. That's terrible. I'm not naming names. Terrible, terrible, terrible. And, you know, I know Winston Sears has, you know, folks get out and vote Republican.
But, you know, Winston Sears had kind of, she was not a big Trump fan. And I think some of the Republicans in Virginia were kind of annoyed with her about that. And so, you know, that's that's. And then New York.
So, well, let's talk about New Jersey.
So New Jersey is the bright spot here because, you know, it's a blue state and Chitterelli is really doing well and is within, I think, three or four points of the Democrats. It reminds me of when Youngkin was running four years ago in Virginia. You felt the momentum. You saw it. These common sense mayors in New Jersey who happen to.
To be Democrats, but more moderate, and like I said, have a little bit of common sense. They're coming out and endorsing Jack. And so I think New Jersey is in play. I want to see, you know, Republicans send your money there, send your time there. The young Republicans had done a door-knocking campaign there a few weeks ago.
We have got to get out and support him. I feel a little bit of hope. Yeah.
Then the dumpster fire that is New York City. And I watched that debate last night. And it was Tweedle D, Tweedledum, and Tweedledumber. I'm just bewildered.
So here's here's my I'm curious to hear a take on this because Curtis Lewa, I mean, the guy he ran unopposed.
So Curtis Lewa is the best Republican. For the job in New York City. And I don't think the guy's actually a Republican. I don't know that he's a Republican either. And you've been doing great reporting on this.
I think I was listening to the show yesterday or maybe the day before, and you were talking about this for a while. He is a problem. And You know, there are some concerns about the financial dealings of the campaign, and I heard that there were some family members involved on the payroll, and it just. Uh If you know you don't have a shot, I struggle with this. And we are going up against a radical communist Muslim.
Who are we should all be very afraid of. And I've I grew up in New York State. I grew up in Rochester, but New York City is really an economic driver, obviously, for the entire country, but the state of New York. And when New York City goes down, the rest of the state and that area of the country goes down.
Well, and the entire country from a cultural standpoint, that's really troubling, and especially because I think people are now starting to wake up. To the rise of Islam in America. And somebody pointed out in the state of Georgia, in Georgia, how many prominent Muslims are now running for high office in that state. That is going to be problematic because the teachings of Islam are not compatible with our Constitution. You are 100% right.
Totally incompatible with our Constitution, with Western culture. And Todd, it is okay for us to say we want to protect Western culture. We want to protect the values upon which this country was founded. And we don't want to bring in any more people who disagree with those values. We have let in more Muslim immigrants post-9-11-2001 than all years previous.
It is a problem. I mean, I don't know. Have you been to Costco even here in the Memphis area on a Saturday morning? I mean, I feel like it's a country that I don't recognize. And it's okay to say, wait a minute, this is a problem.
Let's pause. I want a total immigration moratorium, by the way, for like at least 10 years so we can assimilate the ones already here. And that I think that's the issue: we've had unfettered emigration and there has been no assimilation. And I say that because of, well, let's talk about Dearborn, Michigan for a moment, where people are getting woken up at 5:30 in the morning with the Islamic call to prayer in their neighborhoods. And apparently, it's racist if you don't want that in your community.
They just attack you. Exactly. And as we heard from the city council there and the mayor of Dearborn, Christians are no longer welcome in Dearborn, Michigan. It's completely unacceptable. And we just have to start keep talking about it.
Thank you, Todd, for what you've been talking about on your show. Folks, feel comfortable talking about it. It is not racist for you to say, I want to protect again the values upon which this country was founded, which were. Protestant Christian values. If you look at the founding fathers, the vast majority were Protestant Christians.
And it's only under that form of government, and again, I believe that our nation was meant to be a Christian nation. Me too. Under the Christian teachings, you can be whatever you want to be here. And you don't find that under any other form of government in the world.
Well, and that's part of the problem is these people are coming from other countries. They clearly want to be here, and then they get here and they don't adopt our culture. They don't speak our language. They, in many ways, denigrate the country and start to, I mean, join the Democrat Party and start to hate on America. And it's like, wait a minute, you came here for a reason and suddenly you hate it here.
It's incongruous. It's unfortunate. And we just, like I said, we have to keep talking about it. And to that point, there is a new survey out. I'm trying to call this up from the New York Post.
Mandami is most popular among foreign-born New Yorkers. That's where he is the most popular. But again, Cuomo, and everybody's calling Sliwa, and this is where I do have an issue, is they're calling Sliwa the, he'll be responsible for Mandami getting elected. I would disagree. It's Cuomo.
Cuomo is responsible for all of this. Yes, he's responsible for all of it. You know, he ran a poor primary campaign. He was entitled. He assumed he would get it.
He thought there was no way that this radical communist could win the primary. His mistake. And then, you know, he people, it was not that long ago that he had to resign as governor of New York. You know, there were some accusations against him. My problem with him was his terrible policies during COVID, putting requiring these elderly facilities to take in COVID patients.
I mean, it was a terrible scandal and then tried to cover it up. That's my problem with him. And people haven't forgotten. And so that's part of the issue. He also killed lots of grandmothers with the COVID policy.
So look, here's the deal: it was so bad, this debate so bad. Everybody was inept. But here's what got me. Cuomo didn't even stick around for the spin room, right? Where you go after the debate and the candidates go back there and you have all the media and it's basically you're going from interview to interview to interview.
Cuomo Bolted and went to Madison Square Garden for the New York Knicks opening basketball game. He's sitting courtside with Eric Adams. Oh, no. And you're just like, what are you doing here? This is.
It's like he's not Cuomo is not A serious candidate. Trump taught all candidates after the debates, you go to the spin room, right? That is the lesson. You never not go to the spin room because it's free media. You have a ton of media there.
It's a great way to get your message out. It's just irresponsible. Cuomo's lazy and acts entitled. And it's this whole situation. It's just so sad.
I think we're going to see a radical communist Muslim elected in New York. And I just, it's, it's really terrifying. I just don't see this working out unless, and again, the challenge is going to be for Saliwa. And if he was in the race alone with Vamdami, there could have possibly but but here's where there I say there could have been a chance, but I don't think so, because now you have all of these Democrats and liberals coming out and endorsing Sligwa. And it's sort of instead of saying, Welcome to the fold, he's saying, I don't want your votes.
What are you talking about? This is insane.
This is the dumpster file of fire of an election. It's just you're banging your head against the wall here, and you're like, Republican Party, and this goes right back to the bigger issue: Republicans have to start Planning for the long game, and you've got to start recruiting good candidates. Yes, it is.
And, you know, in these blue states, blue counties, what you see is that it's. Donald Trump gets out the Republican vote, then the candidates, and then the Republican Party. The Republican Party, as an institution, has very little influence over getting out. You have to have popular candidates, right? You have to have a Lee Zeldin in New York who, even though he lost, he got out the vote so strong that they won all those House districts.
And really, we kept the House because of Lee Zeldon several years ago. I think Elise Stefanik. I think she's going to do a very good job. I think she will be similar to Elise Zeldin. I think she gets it.
And you're right. We have got to recruit strong candidates who are unafraid to go into the neighborhoods that Republicans haven't been to in a long time and say, vote for somebody else. I mean, Zeldon would have been a perfect candidate. You could have had Muslim versus Jew, and it would have been insane. And I'm telling you, Zeldin would have won.
I agree, Zeldin would have been a woman. Because he would have got all the Christian vote as well. Yeah, exactly. And all the common sense, rational folks who don't want New York to be burned to the ground. You know who I feel sorry for in all of this.
Broadway. I'm just saying, a lot of the, you know, I don't want to paint with a broad brush. I'm not sure that district does well under, you know, Islamic rule. We shall see. Don't comment on that.
Do we have it, Dylan? I'm excited. You've probably never heard this. All right. This is your attorney general, John Ashcroft.
Take a listen. This eagle's place is in the sky. Sing it, John. She's still got a lot of flying to do. Pockour, pour.
Oh wait, I see it in her eye. Though she's cried a bit for what we've put her through She soared above the lifted lamp. That guard sweet freedom's door. In the dews, the damps, the watch fires. Of a nation torn by war.
Oh, it rhymes. That's good. She's far too young to die. You can see it. In her eyes, Begun to fly.
The mighty eagles soar once more. Hold on. Let the eagles soar. Get your lighters out, America or your smartphones. Before from Meraki Coast.
To Golden Shore.
Alright, Leigh Greenwood. Lord, let the mighty. Eagle song. It was dark, sore with healing and Yeah. Wings as the land beneath her sees.
Only God, no other king. Let the mighty Eagle soul Oh, all right. Thank you there. I'm getting a little misty. I cannot believe I've never heard this before.
Yes, Attorney General John Ashcroft. He has quite the warbler there. Maybe Pam Bondi needs to release a little song here. We'll get him and Mike Johnson together. We'll get a gospel quartet or something.
It's just like a Gaither Come to Jesus meeting. Yeah, well, there you go. All right. We're going to take a break now and try to reset. A little pitchy, though, you know, but he could have been an American Isles contender back in the day.
John Ashcroft, our great attorney general. All right, 901-260-5926. This is the Todd Stern Show. All right, welcome back, everybody. This is the Tom Sterns Radio Show.
Great to have you with us. This just ended. Senate Democrats have now rejected paying essential federal employees during the government shutdown.
So they held another vote, and Republicans needed 60 votes.
So that means you've got to have some Democrats coming over and voting with the Republicans. And so the Republicans, again, holding their ground, but the Republicans are also being compassionate about all of this. And they're saying, all right, there are some things we can do to make sure that essential federal workers are going to get a paycheck during the shutdown. And the Democrats said no. And it goes back to what Catherine Clark The Democrat whip said that we're using the suffering as leverage.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is just violence. Vile. But this is who they are. You know, shut down Schumer, dollar store Obama. They're the ones that hate the American people here.
And by the way, I'm really truly hoping that the people out there, I hope the people are seeing what's really going on. But as it now stands, you essential Federal workers will not be getting paid. And the Democrats have their They're demanding that we fund MPR and PBS and healthcare for illegal aliens. That's what they're wanting. Chunk Schumer is an evil man, and so is Dollar Store Obama.
901 260 five nine two six our telephone number, that's nine hundred one two six zero five nine two six. And you heard Kat Kamick say earlier, look, here's the deal. When you shut down the government and you keep it shut down, it actually costs taxpayers more money. Which is why the Republicans want to get this thing Mac opened. But it's It's a mess right there in Washington, D.C., ladies and gentlemen.

Well hi from the Liberty University Studio in Memphis, Tennessee. It's America's favorite gun totem, Bible-clanging, deplorable American. That's right. I love this American ride. Touch start.
Well, hello, everybody. Welcome to the Todd Sterns Radio Show. Great to have you with us today. You know what's interesting? This massive.
Mass story. coming out of professional sports. It's just beyond insane. A couple of stories, actually, and we'll go through some crazy sports headlines here. At a California Jarupa Valley High School, now they've been making national headlines for the past couple of seasons, and that's because the girls' volleyball team has been cheating all season long.
And they were cheating because they had a boy on their volleyball squad. This kid, his name is A.B. Hernandez, and Hernandez identifies as a female, but he's a dude. And it turns out that many schools simply refused to play the team.
So Jarupa Valley made it to the state playoffs with a pretty good record because they won by forfeit ten matches.
So anyway, they're in the state playoffs.
Now Hernandez had Has been allowed under state law in California to compete alongside the female athletes.
So he's also a state champion track and field star, again, competing against the girls. When he competes against the boys, he doesn't win anything.
So it turns out, though, that they were in the first round of the state playoffs, and it turns out that mister Hernandez was no match for the ladies of Valencia High School And they ended up beating this young man and his teammates. in the first round, round one of the state playoffs and straight sets.
So well done to the ladies of Valencia High School for teaching this This kid a lesson, this young man a lesson Imagine that, though a boy getting beat by a girl How embarrassing Jeez a Loo So then you have this other crazy story. This coming from our friends over at the New York Post. And here is the headline. If you can believe this headline, this one. It's a deucey, ladies and gentlemen, transgender swimmer.
banned for five years after gender test refusal. Blaming insurance cost.
So transgender swimmer Anna Caldaz Who is a dude? has received a five-year ban and was stripped of all competition results. Between 2022 and 2024, by World Aquatics for refusing to take a gender verification test. The forty seven year old who goes by Hannah Explained that he feels it's not medically necessary to undergo costly.
Okay. Testing that is not covered by their own insurance. May I just ask a question here? I know I'm not a scientist, but it seems to me this is a pretty quick fix here. That yeah, I don't think you need to be drawing blood or doing anything else.
All you have to do is ask the person to either drop their pants or lift their shirt. Pretty simple procedure to me. And what I mean, technically, it should be done for free, but you know, charge him 20 bucks. No I No, no, no, Dylan, you don't want to put it in their drawers. I'm just saying that would be weird.
I'm just saying, though, that it's an easy task to figure out if a swimmer is a dude or a dudette. And so now we have this situation involving the NBA. Where over thirty players and coaches, prominent people now involved with the Italian mafia, And I mean, there are some shocking allegations. Let's play the very latest. You're going to hear from the New York City Police Commissioner here.
In some instances, players altered their performance or took themselves out of games to make sure that those bets paid out. One example occurred on March 23, 2023. In Charlotte, Terry Rogier, an NBA player now with the Miami Heat, but at the time playing for the Hornets, allegedly let others close to him know that he planned to leave the game early with a supposed injury. Using that information, members of the group placed more than $200,000 in wagers on his under statistics. Rogier exited the game after just nine minutes, and those bets paid out, generating tens of thousands of dollars in profit.
The proceeds were later delivered to his home, where the group counted their cash. Wow, there you go. This is a huge gambling scandal. You know what I find fascinating about this, Dylan ESPN? They did not cover this.
Every other network was live. With anchored coverage, ESPN did not. How do you not cover that if you're ESPN? Mm. It's fishy.
This is all very strange. All very strange. It's so greedy, too. It's like you're taking the fun out of sports. Like all you want is more money.
That's all you care about. Like yes, this is your profession, this is your job, but you're also here for the fans. Like, there's people that pay a lot of money to come and see you play. And you're going to do stuff like that, fake an injury. Like It's so greedy.
So this is funny. Clay Travis points this out. ESPN, they are talking about it, but they didn't take a break for the press conference at all. As they're talking about it, there's actually a promo for ESPN BET. Oh, on the screen.
That's not good.
Someone should get fire for that. Whoopsie. Whoopsie. Oh, dear. Oh, dear.
So there you have it, ladies and gentlemen. Also, you folks in Alabama, have you heard this news, Doll? This is exciting news. A.J. McCarron is running for lieutenant governor.
What? Of Alabama. AJ McCarran, the uh the famous quarterback out of uh Alabama who did pretty well in the NFL and Very well at Alabama. And Tommy Tubberville running for governor, so you got an Auburn governor and then Alabama backup. Interesting.
Okay. Hopefully their sports interests don't come in the way. And Paul Feinbaum is thinking about running for senator. At all seriously. I know, I've heard about this stuff.
Who's next? This is crazy. Yeah, it's a great question.
Well, there you go. I mean, Senator from Florida, maybe? Governor Thibault? Yeah.
I don't know yet. Who knows? You know, it's interesting, though, when you look at the FBI story, this NBA story. Who are the victims here? I mean, you know, if it's just betting, okay, that's one thing, but it looks like they were now fixing games.
I mean You wonder are there other people out there doing the same thing? I don't know. You just have to wonder.
So there you go. Not a good day for the NBA, I'll tell you that much. But um I suspect this is not the end of it. 901-260-5926 is our telephone number. That's 901-2606.
two six zero five nine two six. Want to play some Audio here from Ole Miss.
Now this is interesting. You know, a lot of teachers, faculty are getting fired because of things they're saying about Charlie Kirk in the classroom. And there's been a lot of debate about whether or not that should be happening. And a lot of that debate is even on the conservative side of the aisle. And there are some people who believe that teachers should be allowed to say whatever is on their minds.
And I don't necessarily disagree with the idea. But I do believe if you've got a teacher that is advocating for assassinating people, that teacher has no business in a taxpayer-funded classroom.
So, anyway, there's been a faculty member at Ole Miss who was let go. That individual has now filed a lawsuit against the school, claiming their rights were violated. This is cut number seven, please. A former Ole Miss employee is suing the university's chancellor over her alleged wrongful termination, which she believes violates her First Amendment right to free speech. That right to free speech surrounds a repost she shared over the death of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk.
Action News 5's Caitlin Miller drove to Oxford where she's learned what the community is saying about this case. I'm here at Tarask, the restaurant owned by John and Lauren Stokes, the former ole Miss employee who says her termination has impacted her life in a number of ways, including this one. Tarask had to close for two weeks and now requires security because Stokes says she received a number of death threats. It all started on September 10th, when Lauren Stokes reposted a photo following the death of Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, on her private Instagram. Stokes' lawsuit says that once she realized her post had offended somebody, she removed it and posted an apology a few hours later.
The next day, when Stokes arrived at Olmiss, where she worked as an executive assistant, the lawsuit claimed she was told she was being placed on administrative leave, quote, in her best interest. That was at 9 a.m. By 11:50 a.m., she was told the university was asking for her resignation. By 12:50 p.m., she was fired. Roughly 20 minutes later, the university's chancellor, Glenn Boyce, issued a press release about the firing, condemning her quote, reshared, hurtful, insensitive comments.
Now, Stokes is suing Chancellor Boyce over wrongfully terminating her for expressing views on a public concern, something the lawsuit says the university does not have the right to do. I spoke with one community member at Tarask who preferred to stay anonymous. They told me they believe Stokes' firing was in some ways hypocritical. I think a lot of comments were made, and to hold her to a different standard than other professors have made. Oh, they're side into the movie.
I think it's just as a point. And I hope to listen for everyone. For Trip Robold, an old miss student, he says his disappointment was elsewhere. I do personally feel like the firing was correct. I think, honestly, just voicing your opinion about how you wish.
Death and that you won't support or pray for somebody after losing their life, no matter their political views. I think that's just something that's just wrong morally. I heard mixed opinions like that from many students, with some feeling Stokes' firing was just and others believing it was unconstitutional.
Now the court will decide. I'm s I'm sorry, Dylan. It's crazy how they got an alien on campus to interview. How did you well, I mean, how how dangerous is it down there for kids if you have to alter your voice? I was not expecting that.
And not only that, somebody was revving up a motorcycle in the background. It's like what? I mean, is really? Is that where we're at? It's so dangerous for conservatives to speak and voice their opinions.
Ma'am, I'm happy to offer a comment, but I need a disguise. And you need to alter my voice. They altered it to like Zurg the Martian man. Hello, my name is Zurg the Martian Man. I'm very disappointed.
Am I teacher? I just don't want my teacher to assassinate me if I get a bad grade. I mean really? What what? Yeah, these teachers, that's a dangerous thing because a lot of them are like unhinged loons.
You know, they look like.
Some of these faculty lounges looks like the bar scene in Star Wars. Um all right, let's go to the phone lines here. Black conservative. Phoning in today, listening to us on KWAM, wants to wait on the MBA scandal. Hi, black conservative.
I am the most erudite mind, brilliant thinker And political philosophy. Good afternoon. How are you doing today? I'm well. Thank you for asking.
You know I have an erudite mind, a man of much book learning. No, I call it good old liver.
So not To be informed, to inform them. And you know, I was arguing with one of my liberal Democrats. Uh friends. About some months ago, about hiding where is all these NBA players, they're always on the injury list. Injury something is not adding up.
These young thoroughbreds, they can tow a load of potatoes from here to Haywood County. How in the world are they always on the injury list? It's a good thing. And now it's just adding up. You know, I knew I was right.
This ain't a Memphis basketball player, Josh. He's always out all the time. These guys, you know, I said, What's going on? Did these guys just grow up playing, you know, in the sandbox?
Something is wrong. I'm from Arkansas. We grew up tough. Do you know? Uh And running on the basket.
I mean, we played. On the basketball court, it either it was either dirt or concrete or gravel rocks. But these guys here they were so now it's kind of adding up why these guys was on the injury list. 'Cause they're following the money trail. And I never could figure out why all you know, a good many of the NBA arenas, they have Italian restaurants and men walking around in the silk suits eating meatballs.
Now we know. Absolutely. Absolutely. These guys are you know, they get an injury all the time, always getting injured. Injured.
I'm like, th either they girly man or uh, you know, they didn't have the wheaters or something, but I kind of figured out why these guys, like I said, these guys Can total load of potatoes to Tiplum County on a rainy day. And now they're on the injury list. you know, but, you know, I think I know why he has E P E S E P N, whatever you call it. is not uh covering it. You know, because, you know, these same NBA uh at the institutions They were criticizing President Trump.
you know about about a his you know Uh taxes. And Uh the uh You know, paying off, you know, someone, you know, maybe they just don't want to cover this. The cause It's going to kind of expose. Uh there.
Well, black conservatives, you know what's going to happen. I mean, you got the mafia. I mean, these are, this isn't like Bush League stuff here. We're talking about the mafia.
Somebody's getting whacked. Oh, absolutely. Um they had these apps. you download, I think it's fan duo or something like that. I think that's a good idea.
A friend of mine has he played He played college football. Good. friend of mine. For Alabama, and he wins all the time he played at uh you know fantasy sports Betting on the LaFlex. He wins all the time.
I'm like, how in the world can you just win all the time? Don't ask me. I'm going to call them in a minute and find out. You didn't give me my money back. That's what I would do.
All right, my friend. Black Conservative, I got to run for a break. It's good hearing from you. Keep America great. I'll be in Mississippi next week.
All right, we'll see you there. All right. Good stuff. Black Conservative. Great American you know, we've never met in in person before.
This is I so I'm excited to finally meet the black conservative in In person. All right, we've got to take a break. 901-260-5926. This is the Tot Stars Show. Welcome back, everybody.
Happy to have you with us. You know, a lot of people are wondering, you know, what is it like? We've been hearing from a lot of folks, what is it like, you know, now that the National Guard has been in town for so long? And I will tell you that the vibe has changed here, and people are just so happy. Cut number 14, please.
Go! New attend Grizzlies fans flocking to FedEx Forum for tip-off. Tonight, while many are celebrating the home opener and the beginning of a new season, they're also applauding a new sense of security downtown. Hello, I'm Stephanie Skurlop. Yeah, what a game and what a night.
And along with that, what appears to be new hope, that the arrival of the Memphis Safe Task Force is signaling a new beginning for Memphis and its perception on the world stage. WRG's Bryant Didlake has the story. Many people we spoke with say while the opening night of the Grizzlies season was exciting, what was more comforting is the increased law enforcement presence. Go, Grizz! The excitement could not be contained Wednesday as thousands swarmed the FedEx Forum for opening night for the Memphis Grizzlies.
It's so peaceful and it's just a whole lot of people down here. We just enjoying life and it just feels so free. Security enhancements like metal detectors at the entrance of the FedEx Forum. Members of the Memphis Safe Task Force posted at several areas across Bill Street and surrounding areas. Memphis police directing traffic.
Fans say the increased presence. Was comforting. We've seen a lot of presence, and I mean, at home, we talk, my wife and I talk about it all the time. It's like, yeah, it does feel. Better.
But families also hope with the task force continued presence in the city, they hope hearts and minds change concerning downtown Memphis. You know, there's dangerous places everywhere, and with what they're doing, hopefully, like you said, it can knock down the crime and stuff so more people can see a brighter light here. But it's good people all around in Memphis. Memphis is a beautiful city, and I don't want people to think that they should shy away from Memphis because they think it's crime-ridden. Black and white, ladies and gentlemen.
Everybody says the same thing. Welcome, welcome to Memphis National Guard. We'll be right back. All right, welcome back, everybody. Good to have you with us.
This is the Tod Stearns radio show. It was a privilege to have our good buddies Steve Gill and Mary Walter joining us on Newsmax and hear some of that conversation. Joining me now in my world, Americ Walter, host of Mary Walter Radio, and Steve Gill, the publisher of TriStarDaily.com. Good to have both of you. Mary to you first.
What do you think about that CNN poll? Trump seems to be doing pretty darn good in the Schumer shutdown. I just, I think I'm just going to laugh through this entire four years. I really do. I think I am just being so tickled by all of this.
You know, but Trump is an anomaly. There is something about him. And I think part of what's different in Trump 2.0 is that they've learned how to message. They have mastered the messaging. I think Barron has a lot to do with this.
He just mocks them. Look what he did with the No Kings rally. Trump doesn't care.
So, what does he do? He just mocks them and trolls them, and they take the bait every single time. And it makes them look like losers. It makes them look like they're humorless, and they are, and they are losers. And the only thing that they have is just exposes them for what they are.
They're not proposing anything new except, well, you know what we want? Why won't you negotiate with us? We just want health care for illegal immigrants. And Trump's like, Yeah, but go pound sand because he knows that the majority of American people don't want to pay for health care. Four people in the country illegally.
So, this may just be these four years, may be a very, very different moment in our history. And I think it's just the Trump effect. I don't know if his successor can continue this. But I'm going to enjoy the ride while I'm on it. Yeah, Steve, it's kind of like the old Roadrunner cartoon, a Democrat's wily coyote.
Instead of dropping the giant anvil, Trump is dropping a bucket of sewage on the Democrats. What do you make of all of this? Yeah, and anytime I see a big rock in the highway, I know there's a Democrat and a coyote under it somewhere. You know, the worst wound you can suffer as a politician, guys, is becoming a joke. And the Democrats are not only making themselves a joke, they keep throwing pies into their own faces.
They keep making it worse, doubling down whatever 80-20 poll matter there is out there. They keep leaping to the 20% and driving it lower. And Mary's exactly right. Trump is the master of comedic humor and trolling. We even saw it this past week with Zelensky.
I mean, he and J.D. Vance kind of looking at each other and smirking as Zelensky is demanding more money after showing up in Washington with nobody to greet him. And then after the meeting with Trump, he has to walk out of the White House by himself and host his own press conference off the White House grounds across the street.
So I'm not sure who had a bad week this week, Zelensky or the Democrats or both. You know, Mary, you wonder if a lot of this rhetoric and especially the violent rhetoric coming from the left may actually be backfiring on the Democrats. Do you think that might be playing into the President's numbers? I do because I saw a great saying, and it's so true. These people preach love, but they worship death.
And they worship violence. And I think Americans are shocked, especially, and we're not talking about MAGA, we're not talking about Democrats, we're talking about the people in the middle. A large majority of people in this country are independents. And to a certain degree, I think MAGA is independent as well because a lot of them are not registered Republicans. They're just MAGA, like they just like Trump.
So when you look at those people, they are rightly just appalled and disgusted by what some of these people are saying. And they're like, oh, well, he apologized for it. Most people go, wait a minute. I'm old enough to remember when you canceled President Trump because you say he incited an insurrection for saying to go protest peacefully.
So people are saying the hypocrisy, and I think a lot of that is due to X and the fact that we now have freedom of speech and it is not being censored. That is a huge part of this as well.
So yeah, I think that that is backfiring on them. People see it for what it is. You know, Steve, in Texas, police are arresting the legal in Dallas, offering $10,000 bounties on TikTok for the murder of ICE. Agents, then you've got, we're still waiting to hear about this. Lucy Martinez, the school teacher from Chicago, whether or not she's going to be facing any repercussions for mocking Charlie Kirk's death at a no kings protest.
What do we do with these people here? Do they need to lose their jobs? Do they need to be arrested? Yeah, absolutely. And when you are promoting and threatening violence in the way that this vile, I think she's a school teacher did, she should have been walked out of the school before classes even started.
And I'm with Mary. When I look at these no kings. Kings protested. What a bizarre assemblage. I mean, you have the folks waving the Palestinian flags next to someone waving the rainbow flag.
Somebody doesn't understand the other because the rainbow flag people would be killed if they were in Gaza or Palestini or anywhere in the Middle East. And then I have no clue what these outfits of being like a blown-up frog or a unicorn or the crazy costumes they were wearing. If you don't want to be portrayed as a joke, don't make your protest look like a freaking circus. And then finally, when the media is asking people, what are you here for? What has Trump done to harm your personal rights?
And they can't even come up with an answer or a clue. And half of them are saying, I don't know, I'm just here because people told me this is where I needed to be. And then in New York City, in Washington, as soon as the clock struck one, the crowds dispersed completely because that's when you clock out because the pay has ended.
So everything we've We've said about these things are proved true by their own ineptitude and by their own circus atmosphere. Yeah, here's another one, Mary. A protester in Chicago referred to the DOJ over this comment. Let's watch it. Rob a thug!
We gotta turn around the guns and This fascist system, these ICE agents gotta get shot and wiped out. Oh my god, Mary, and again, this is not some sort of anomaly. This is happening all over the country. Again, these are people who preach love, and we're so tolerant and we're so inclusive. Unless you disagree with me, and then I want to kill you.
And they're now openly saying it. And this is where I think the left is going so far off to crazy town. They have really eclipsed themselves to the point of just being dangerous. I think they've hit that point where they're actually dangerous right now, where they believe that if I disagree with you, that you're hateful. And look, this is what happened.
We've seen this play out in so many countries across the world, right? That you demonize the other side, then you dehumanize your political opponent or the people that you don't like. Because if you can Dehumanize them and make them less than violence against them, which ultimately, of course, the calls go from violence to death. That people don't get as upset about it. Oh, well, they deserved it.
Well, they're less than. Oh, they're Nazis. It's okay. You know, so that's the path that they're on right now. And I think we can laugh at them all they want in their little frog costumes, which, by the way, that was some of the best entertainment in the world this weekend.
Free entertainment. But we can laugh at them, but I think we have to pay very careful attention to them and where they are heading. You know, I thought it was really interesting what Mary Walter was talking about: the dehumanizing of your political enemies and I just simply do not see that. on the the conservative side of of the aisle at all.
Meanwhile, you have all of these people, very high-profile people, on the Democrat side, and that's all they talk about. From Jasmine Crockett, Elhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib. You've got Maxine Waters, get in your face, absolutely harass them. You've got Barack Hussein Obama. If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun.
And now you've got this newcomer, Texas House State Democrat leader, Jolanda Jones, cut number nine. I'm from the hood, okay?
So when a bully comes, like, if there are no rules, you literally have to figure it out.
So Donald Trump has changed things. And people trying to do what's always been done is not going to work. And I think that's why Democrats are losing black people. That's why they're losing poor people. Because poor people, all they want is for us to fight.
So if you hit me in my face, I'm not going to punch you back in your face. I'm going to go across your neck. Because we can go back and forth fighting in each other's faces. You've got to hit hard enough where they won't come back. And so yeah, for the same way I went to New York.
and spoke with Governor Kathy Hochl and said if they're gonna try to wipe us out In Texas, we need to wipe out every Republican in New York and California and Illinois so no one can make me feel bad. about fighting for the people that I represent because the people that I represent need someone who's willing to go in the ring and fight for them and that's exactly what I'm going to do.
So again, within the context of where we are in the aftermath of the Charlie Kirk assassination, the two assassination attempts on our president, Donald J. Trump, this sort of rhetoric has to be addressed. And instead of tamping it down, the Democrats have just decided to just get out there and say, you know what, people need to die. And that's what they're saying here. I mean, James Carvolt, when you understand the context of what he's talking about here and understand this is exactly how they treated the Jews in nineteen thirties Germany and across Europe and especially Eastern Europe, That's a horrifying thing that someone would go to the extent to think this all through.
I mean, this is not some sort of a thing that James Carville just came up with off the top of his head. This was said during a podcast interview. A conversation. And he doubled down on all of this, cut number one. You know what we do with collaborators.
Right. And I my fantasy. Dream. Is that this nightmare ends? In 2029 And I I think we ought to have radical thing I think they all ought to have their heads shaven, they should be put in orange pajamas, and it should be marched down Pennsylvania Avenue, and the public should be invited to spit on it.
All of these collaborators should be Shaved, pajama, and spitrow. It's a moral judgment. Yeah.
Bend the knee to a a Terminal Carrot, and that's what he is. Understand, he is a critic. terminal. Thirty-four Convictions would have been a lot more.
Okay, if if if they would have pursued it. Here's a target. He has no use for democracy. He has no use for the values of his country. and you are collaborating with this.
And it will bring eternal shame to your company.
Well, there you go. And that's really what the Democrats think about us. That's what they think about us. That's why these people can never be in control again. Oh, by the way.
Democrats going on full meltdown mode over President Trump and the new White House ballroom that the President is building without a cost to taxpayers. It's not going to look, we're not going to spend a penny of tax money on this beautiful Beautiful ballroom that's been many years in the planning, but Democrats are freaking out cut number five. FDR installed a swimming pool, Obama adds a basketball court, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. What's your opinion of the renovation and all the fuss about it? Right.
Well, first of all, look at where the fuss is coming from. I mean, you just showed the view, for goodness sake. I mean, those women show up every day, and if President Trump wakes up with a pulse, they're angry. They're always angry. And they've always shown hatred towards Donald Trump, no matter what he does when he solves world peace in the Middle East.
They're angry because Trump did it. And so that's no surprise. Look, as you pointed out, previous presidents added the Oval Office. The West Wing itself was an add-on to the original building, and nobody's complaining about that. And look at what Trump is adding on.
He's adding on a ballroom for things like state dinners. Stuart, I've been to state dinners before under presidents going back to President Obama, President Trump, President Biden. And when you go to a state dinner, this is when a president or a prime minister from one of our great allies around the world comes to Washington and you hold a grand event for them. It's done. Outside the White House in a tent right now, Stewart.
That's how it gets done because there's not enough room in the White House to host that event.
So imagine the head of a, you know, some maybe foreign country, they're coming from a presidential palace in their country, and they come to the Grand White House and they walk outside in the rain and go to a tent. That's what President Trump is renovating, adding a ballroom. That's going to be a grand place that. Only for maybe two years he gets to enjoy, but every president after President Trump will be able to enjoy and host events appropriately in this new ballroom. And paid for by private funds as well.
And paid for privately. Let's see if any of those hosts go to any events at the new ballroom, because it's going to be beautiful. The White House is going to look even more beautiful after it's completed, and they'll still hate President Trump, even though they'll say how nice it is.
Well, of course they will. And by the way, we went back and looked through the archives. At the media coverage of Of Barack Hussein Obama, who did massive renovations at the White House. As a matter of fact, he put in a basketball court. And nobody said a thing.
Everybody was really happy about it. And they said, Oh, yeah, you know, this has been going on for years and in years past. Certainly a lot of people have renovated the White House and they have. And it's not just Barack Obama. By the way, Obama put in a White House kitchen garden on the South lawn.
and put in a basketball court. Bill Clinton literally restored and refurbished the executive mansion. Gerald Ford put in a swimming pool, an outdoor swimming pool, which, by the way, was financed by private donations. JFK actually constructed the modern-day rose garden. I cannot find any negative media coverage of President Kennedy turning the lawn into a rose garden.
Not a one. As a matter of fact, it was Harry Truman who literally gutted the White House. They took the White House all the way down to the foundation. The only thing that's original in the White House is the exterior of the building. And the reason why it was so It was so rotted out, the floorboards, that the The piano, a leg of Harriet Truman's daughter.
She was a big pianist. And it turns out that a leg of the piano actually shot through the floorboards. And the whole building was falling apart.
So the only thing that they kept, the exterior walls, they gutted the whole thing, and there are lots of photos over on the White House website. I don't recall anybody raising any concerns about that.
So, again, this goes all the way back to a very simple thing. is that most Again hear me on this. That most of these Democrats and the people in the media. They hate Donald Trump. That will never change.
Donald Trump could bring world peace. Donald Trump could bring galactic peace. We could be invaded by aliens and Trump could broker some sort of a peace deal. And even then, the people in the media and the Democrat Party would hate Trump's cuts. They would side with the aliens.
You say, Todd, how can you say that? because they're already standing with the aliens. The ones that live here. just from another country.
So, it's not out of the realm of thinking here that the Democrats would stand with illegals from another planet. I'm just saying. I don't want to get into it today. We don't have a lot of time left on the show. But all that to say, it is going to be an absolutely beautiful addition.
And how embarrassing has it been for generations now that when we wanted to entertain world leaders, we had to set up a tent, we had to pitch a tent on the lawn. That muddy lawn, and people got dirty and wet. They had to carry umbrellas to go and hang out for a lavish night. In the greatest country that God has given the world.
So Donald Trump is doing something about that. And I don't know about you, but I'm glad he is. And I can't wait one day to be able to go and to enjoy that beautiful ballroom at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. All right, be sure to head over to ToddSterns.com.
