From director Sean Magnamara comes Soul on Fire, based on a true story. They said you had no chance, but here you are. Starring Joel Courtney, John Corbett, Stephanie Szostak, Macy McLean, with Devon Franklin and William H. Macy. If you focus exactly on loving the life that you're living right now, not the life that you think you coulda had or shoulda had, that's the whole deal right there.

Soul on Fire. Rated PG. Prentil Guidance Suggested. In theaters October 10th. For tickets, go to soul on FireMovie.com.

On fire. From the Mighty 990 Broadcast Center, you're waking up in Starnes Country with Todd Starnes. Good. Good morning, Memphis. It's Luke Symbol filling in for Todd Starns this morning and Kristen New.

How are you, Kristen? Are we awake? It's Monday. Oh, I am awake. I've had my half a pot of coffee.

You're ready to go. Kristen, we wake up before the show, we don't wake up on the show.

Okay, okay, you're right. You know, we've been doing this for a week now and we actually didn't even know that we were gonna be here on Monday until we got the call from Todd inviting us back.

So, I guess we didn't do too bad of a job. Yes, and I uh took off work today. I'm traveling this week, and my flight leaves an hour after the show ends, so I'm gonna hustle. Over To the airport. Don't speed.

Evan, we've got state troopers now. I can't speed. I used to be able to speed on 240 and we can't anymore. I'm going to tell you, those THP are making a big difference in the loop. They are.

Well, folks, it is good to be with you again. Todd, I mean, I think he went something like six states in nine days. California last week won a big award, spoke at a conference, and then he went to North Carolina to speak at something else, and then he was in Iowa, and he is flying back this morning.

So I don't think he can listen to the show unless he has Wi-Fi on the flight and is using the Mighty 990 KWAM app.

So maybe, I mean, Maybe we don't have to be in our best behavior this morning. We have a lot to talk about today, though. It's a Monday, which means we had a whole weekend of news happen.

So we're going to get to a lot. And on Friday, it was announced the governor was in Memphis last week, and it was all over the airwaves that the National Guard is coming this week. It could be today. I feel like it's Christmas. Isn't it amazing?

I'll tell you what, there is a hope. Around the city right now, it is something I have not felt in a long time. You know, I've been fighting the fight, I live in the city of Memphis. I just purchased another house in the city of Memphis. I'm investing in my community, but I was really discouraged.

And for the first time in a long time, The past few weeks, I feel like there's hope again. There's hope. And, you know, it's great. Everybody wants this. The polling suggests that.

And we are, this is like a non-issue. Except Councilwoman Jerry Green, J.B. Smiley, and the radical Democrats. That's where I was going, except for the people who represent you. They don't want this.

The Democrats do not want the National Guard and the federal help coming in. They host press conferences. I mean, Tammy Sawyer, why would you put radical defund the police activist Tammy Sawyer in front of a microphone, representing anything in the city of Memphis, let alone talking about crime policy? Totally out of touch. And then you have the Republicans.

You had Senator Brent Taylor, Paul Rose, John Gillespie, Ron Gant, and then all of our Republican commissioners shouting, we are so excited to have these resources coming to Memphis to clean up our city. It's amazing. Being on the side of crime and on the side of illegals, I do not understand how they think that is a winning issue. I mean, the Democrats are about to shut down our government because they want health care. For legal aliens.

Right. And Trump holds all the cards here because they need the Democrats to vote for this continuing resolution, which they're probably not going to do.

So they are actually going to side with the illegals. How is that good for them? Have you ever seen the Democrat Party on their heels for so long, issue after issue after issue? It's like since Trump's election. In the second election, well, third election in 2024.

Yeah, honestly. Since 2024, it is like the Democrats have been on their heels on every issue, whether it's national issues like illegal immigration, whether it's local issues like crime and education. I mean, even here in the city of Memphis, the local Democrat Party. Has the radical Democrat activists have held multiple press conferences against the federal resources coming to clean up crime. And against realigning the MSCS, the failing school district here in Shelby County, against the measures to hold the school board accountable.

It's like on every issue, they're behind the times. They're totally out of touch. They're totally out of touch. Their back is against the wall, and they're letting the radicals run their party. And that is what I don't understand.

Why are they, do they have Trump derangement syndrome so bad that they are letting the radicals take control of their party? I think so. Um, it's really remarkable. And even the Shelby County District Attorney said. Steve Mulroy.

Uh, he releases steps last Friday on how to deal with the National Guard and what your rights are. And Tammy Sawyer released it a list, released a list of how to, another list about how to prepare. And basically, like literally, all of it was make sure you're following the law. Like, that was that messaging. Like, make sure your tags are not fake and are up to date.

Make sure your car is registered. Make sure you don't have a broken taillight. Make sure you don't speed. Like, it's like, wait, wait, you mean, you know, they're gonna right, and they're gonna send out a list where all the checkpoints are because they're going to tell their criminals how to avoid a checkpoint. MPD was apparently at a park.

I saw on social media, somebody posted it. There were a bunch of MPD and sheriff's offices at a park, and they were going through the parking lot finding the cars with fake driveout tags. And this radical activist was like, I can't believe they're doing this. And it's like, They weren't even going through the park looking for expired tags, and we all know how terrible Wanda Halbert our clerk is, but they were literally trying to find. Fake tags, like meaning the car was not registered, was likely stolen.

And these people, these radical activists are upset about it. Folks, a new day is coming in this country when it comes to crime, and a new day is coming to Shelby County. And we are going to clean up our city and we are going to make it safe. And I say again, although it's been decades and decades that Memphis wasn't in the top five cities for violent crime, but we're going to clean up our city, and I am so excited.

So at this point, there's really no other choice but to vote red. I mean, there really is no other choice. I have seen the protesters on the corner of Poplar Avenue and. They're all 75 years old. I was at the dining party.

Yeah, I was on Poplar Avenue, and I think it was West Street, maybe in Germantown. And I saw like three people who, I mean, one of them looked like they were about to keel over. I almost thought it was elder abuse. I'm like, are they wheeling them? It is elderly.

They're in a hot. 75 degrees with oxygen tank. I know. And they were holding these signs, and they just, I mean, you could tell they're literally just old hippies from their 30s and the 60s. But, you know, something I am concerned about is as we're rounding up these criminals, and the U.S.

Marshal Service is coming with their specialized teams, and they're going to go door-to-door, I think, and round up these criminals. But, you know, what are we going to do with our local DA who just refuses to prosecute? I think Memphis Crime Bee, a nonpartisan organization who tracks crime stats, and please look them up on social media. They do court watching. They're really important work.

But they said 56% of cases last year were dismissed by the district attorney. That's just abysmal. But you know, that's what they're going to do. You're going to have to start. Cornering these people.

And so he's going to get cornered because we're going to present. He's got to hold him accountable. Yes, with all of these new cases, and he's going to have to do something. I think people are fed up with the Soros-backed DAs. We have a clip of somebody, Manhattan DA, Alvin Bragg, releasing criminals.

This was just discussed over the weekend in SOT 3. Unfortunately for me, I have had to watch my attackers' Instagram stories for the past six months because I couldn't depend on the DAs to do it. And on July 23rd, I'm watching her story and she puts on there, Thank goodness, my lawyers were able to drop my case, no charges. And I reached out to the DA and I said, how could this be possible? All of the evidence was there.

I mean, the full 20 plus minutes video of us talking, her attacking me unprovoked, and you guys dropped this case. It was just, it was shocking. And that's happening here locally. I met with some crime victims who discussed that she. Hercs.

Sons, I think her son was murdered. The case was dropped, and they said it was because of lack of evidence. And they ended up finding the, they just misplaced the evidence, but yet you're dropping these cases. The DA's office here, we've got to hold this Mulroy accountable. We have to.

It's just, I don't know. How are we going to clean up the city if we don't have police officers? And the police officers, we have a shortage because of D.A. Mulroy.

Well, he certainly has not released a lot of statements in support of police, or at least when he ran, he ran on holding police accountable and he set up this justice review unit that literally reviews prior convictions and reviews police conduct. And so our district attorney is spending money when we have such a huge crime problem, spending money just reviewing prior convictions. It's just, it's frustrating, but we've got to hold his feet to the fire. We've seen him, you know, Senator Brent Taylor really has led the charge on this, on holding Mulroy accountable. And he is saying that that's the weakest link right now with this.

We cannot have the federal government spending all these resources to clean up our crime problem and then have our DA either one purposefully dismiss cases or number two drop the ball because he's incompetent at leading the office. And so I think you're going to see a lot of attention on this, a lot of accountability on this, because we need to make this a success. And what we're asking people to do is just get vocal on this. Start talking about this. Start talking about it on social media.

Talk about it in your communities, in your churches, in your groups. Because if you don't get vocal on this, if you keep silent on this, it's not going to get any better. The squeaky will. You're exactly right. We're going to make Memphis matter and we're going to make Memphis safe again.

I can't wait. I can't wait. Folks, we have an exciting show today. We're in the Principal Toyota Memphis studio, Luke Symbol, Chris Sinu, filling in for Todd. He is back tomorrow morning.

What do you think about the National Guard coming to Memphis? 901-260-5926. They're coming this week. We're going to cut to traffic and we'll talk to you on the other side. From director Sean McNamara comes Soul on Fire, based on a true story.

They said you had no chance, but here you are. Starring Joel Courtney, John Corbett, Stephanie Shostak, Macy McLean, with Devon Franklin and William H. Macy. If you focus exactly on loving the life that you're living right now, not the life that you think you coulda had or shoulda had. That's the whole deal right there.

Soul on Fire. Rated PG. Prentil Guidance Suggested. Be in theaters October 10th. For tickets, go to soul on FireMovie.com.

All right, Mid-South, Luke Symbol Chris Senu, filling in this morning for Todd Starnes on Starnes Country. Todd is back tomorrow morning. He has been traveling the United States, literally coast to coast, speaking at conferences, signing books, winning awards, fighting the good fight as he does. And I did get a text message from him. He is listening from 30,000 feet.

There's something, you know, kind of ominous. He's letting us know. He's letting us know. No, you know, he was on the West Coast for most of last week. And so the show was just really, really early.

And he wasn't, I don't think, listening live. But there is an added layer of intensity when the Todd Starnes is listening to his own show. Can I say something? If y'all are watching us online, Luke and I, we are vibing today. We actually wore the same color.

So I think we've been together way too long. I don't know. Lots of ways to listen. 1079 FM 990 AM. The KWIM app is excellent.

I'm going to be traveling. I'm off work this week. I'm going to be traveling to Washington, D.C., the swamp. Although the swamp is much safer now, it is safer. Thank you, Trump.

But I'm going to use my Mighty 990 app. to listen. And it's a great way.

Now, Kristen, we are matching. And again, you can also watch us live on Facebook and X. And we are matching. And this is getting a little too, you know, we've hosted too many days now together. And I have commitment issues.

Luke doesn't want to commit to me. He as a friend, he's like, The only thing I can really commit to are my two French bulldogs. That's it. I just adore Vivian and Juliette. You know, maybe I should have brought them for the live stream.

Folks, I have these two little French bulldogs, and I've turned into a crazy person. I have car seats for them and I am considering getting a little bit of a baby stroll out for them. I literally have looked. Don't look at my Amazon history. You need to get them Halloween costumes.

What are they going to be for Halloween? It's terrible. I've always had these big dogs. I grew up with Goldens, and my grandparents would hunt with them. You know, these big dogs that would swim and jump off docks and catch ducks, you know, and all that.

And now I have these French bulldogs and Vivian and Juliet. Speaking of, on Friday, you had found a kitten. We talked about it on the show. Have you found a home for this baby?

So I had to take my little baby over to the new home yesterday. I felt really guilty. But the new mom is retired and she has nothing better to do than to adore this tiny little kitten. She's even set up a nursery for it. I want you to be really honest to the listeners of the show.

Was it you or your husband that wanted to give up? You know, my husband came around. He actually was like, you know what? We could keep it. I was like, oh, the time commitment.

I'd have to keep it locked up for five hours. Like, my son was in a golf tournament for the last two days. And so I was like, I either have to miss my son's golf tournament or go lock up this baby kitten. It was so little, it couldn't just be left out.

Well, I got lots of pictures over the weekend where it looks like you got nothing done and all you were doing was holding this baby. My house is just a little, it's just a tornado. I'm going to have to clean it today. That's what's on my, that's what I'm doing. You're going to go on a plane and I'm going to clean my house.

Well, you know, we getting houses in order is important. And speaking of which, our government needs to get its house in order because the Democrats are going to shut down the government. That's right. For what? For illegal health care.

For illegal immigration health care. You know, the Democrats have become so radical. It's like the positions from 30 years ago are now far-right MAGA positions. Let's play. A clip from Hillary Clinton in the 90s.

This is Hillary Clinton in the 90s and SOT 1. As to illegal aliens, we agree with you that. We do not think the comprehensive health care benefits should be extended to those who are undocumented workers and illegal aliens. We do not want to do anything to encourage more illegal immigration into this country. We know now that too many people come in for medical care as it is.

We certainly don't want them having the same benefits that American citizens are entitled to have. Can you believe That now the Democrat Party Chuck Schumer. Is considering shutting down the government so that illegal aliens in this country can receive government services. You know, the Clintons would have been kicked out of the Democrat Party if they spoke like that today. There's no way that they could be Democrats today.

It's unbelievable. It's unbelievable how far that party has been taken by its radical left members. And we're seeing that locally. I mean, we are seeing the local Democrat Party captured. By radical activists like Tammy Sawyer, Like Indivisible Memphis.

And you know, Indivisible, there was just an article a few weeks ago talking about how they're getting this money. The Indivisible, the national organization, is getting money from. Far leftists like George Soros, like other people, and these are the names that are familiar to you, that are funding these radical DAs across the country, that are funding these quota, these supposedly nonprofits that are then partnering with DA's offices to process things like data and to look at previous convictions. It's disgusting. You've got to really watch these NGOs and nonprofits.

Yes, and now they're captured on this illegal immigration issue, which is, you know, I honestly think that this is a 75% of the country is like, let's get illegal immigrants out of the country. That's not confusing. Controversial.

So they don't even care that it's a losing issue. They're going to shut the government. They're going to shut the government down. But I will tell you this. There are some non-essential employees in government.

That to me is an oxymoron. Like, there should never be a non-essential government employee.

Well, and the Supreme Court, just as recently as last week or within the past two weeks, is clarifying that the president does have the power to fire those in the executive branch. You know, there were all these federal court cases filed because they're trying to fire people. They're trying to stop this funding for certain groups and certain causes. And these district courts kept saying, well, no, the president can't fire people in his own administration. Ridiculous.

And so the Supreme Court has really clarified that in the past two weeks. And so, what Trump is saying is: look, Schumer, if you want to shut down the country to fund a legal immigrant health care. Do it, I'm going to fire all these people that I want to fire and do mess. If you're non-essential, I think I might fire you. I think, yeah, and I.

You know, people are like, oh, that's just harsh, and you're just a heartless person. You want people to lose their jobs.

Okay, the government is so bloated that I think it needs to happen at this point. Yeah, I agree. Um so National Guard is coming. That's been a big story. The U.S.

Marshals are coming to clean up crime. I was talking to a friend the other day who knows somebody who's a U.S. Marshal here locally. And this U.S. Marshal was saying that the.

The type of agents that are coming, the type of U.S. Marshals, the type of FBI agents that are coming to Memphis. are serious. Like we're talking Training that we've never seen here in Memphis before, like serious go door-to-door. And that's part of the problem: the local police departments can't go into some of these streets because of how dangerous it is.

Well, the gangs run parts of these neighborhoods, over 100 gangs in the city of Memphis. And these gangs will shoot at you and not think twice. That's right. And so. Are you going to do that for $50,000?

Yeah. Probably not. Yeah, I don't know.

So the groups that are coming are really serious, and they're going to go door to door and arrest these violent criminals and these routine criminals. And I don't want to lose sight of the fact that violent crime, yes, is a problem, but it's also the routine criminals that are busting out the windows. You know, I know people whose windows have been busted out going downtown three or four times or in their carport three or four times. And they're recruiting the children to do it. And that's what's so crazy is because they're training their own children to do it because then the children are protected.

Well, speaking of children. Big story last week, MSCS school board elections realigned to 2026. We're going to have Representative Mark White, who's the chair of the Education Committee in the Tennessee House, who's really been On the charge to hold MSCS accountable. He is going to be. Uh, on the other side of the break.

So let's go to traffic weather. We'll talk to you in a few minutes. From director Sean McNamara comes Soul on Fire, based on a true story. They said you had no chance, but here you are. Starring Joel Courtney, John Corbett, Stephanie Shostak, Macy McLean, with Devon Franklin and William H.

Macy. If you focus exactly on loving the life that you're living right now, not the life that you think you could have had or shoulda had, that's the whole deal right there.

Soul on Fire, rated PG. Colonel Guidance suggested in theaters October 10th. For tickets, go to soul on firemovie.com. All right, friends, Luke Symbol here with Kristen New. We're filming it for Todd Starnes on Starnes Country in the principal Toyota Memphis studio.

You know, something that we've been talking about, there are two big issues in Memphis, and we know what they are. It's crime and education. And they go hand in hand. They go hand in hand. And the Radical Democrats have been on the wrong side of both of these issues.

They have been standing against the federal resources, and they have been standing against the measures that the state legislature are taking to hold MSCS accountable. And one person leading that charge who for years has been fighting for a better education for students in Tennessee and here in Memphis, Memphis residents who want to turn around our schools, a representative Mark White. He is chair of the Education Committee in the Tennessee House. He is joining us this morning on a K-Wham exclusive. Good morning, Representative White.

Good morning, Lou. Good morning, Kristen. Good morning. Representative White, you actually sent me an op-ed this morning on the Daily Memphian, published, written rather, by Sarah Carpenter, who has really been an outspoken advocate for students in the city of Memphis, saying it doesn't matter who's in charge, we have a problem with the results that our students are getting at MSCS. And I'm just going to read a very brief portion to the listening audience, and then I want to get your response, Representative.

So, Sarah Carpenter says: when leaders frame accountability as a takeover, they are using fear to distract from a harder conversation. Why with all the resources and talent in this city? Are our kids still not getting what they deserve? Why do we accept that Memphis children should be at the bottom of the state in performance? Accountability should not be a dirty word.

It should be the foundation of any public education system that serves children first. And Representative, I think that's the question, is why are there some here locally that are against putting the kids first? And what is the state doing? And what do you expect to do when you reconvene in Nashville in January to help better education outcomes for our students?

Well, thank you very much. Thank you very much. She is a rock star. She understands, she gets it, she phrases so well in that opinion piece. The daily Memphian today.

And so I give her kudos. And that's the issue. It's really hard for me to understand. No matter let's say you have No matter how well you're doing or not. And We can always do better.

And I don't understand why people push back. And it's camp to do better. Yeah. Yeah. We know we have crime.

in Memphis, so why are you pushing back on that? We know our schools are not where they should be, so why do you push back on that?

So intervention is good, so it's it's really hard for me to understand the the The question that you raised.

Well, I think people push back who are in leadership because then they would have to admit that they failed. Oh, yeah. It's almost like it's the leadership putting, you know, some members on the school board putting their own interests ahead of the students' education. And, Representative, you experienced this even several years ago when you were passing a. Uh uh r Retention or an intervention bill, rather, for when students were not up to the reading standards by a certain age, I think it was second or third grade, that there were going to be additional interventions needed, whether that was summer school or other reading programs to get them up to that reading level.

And we know that reading comprehension is the most important thing in those early school years for students to succeed. And you received pushback on that. And so we thank you, Representative, for leading the charge and for being unafraid. And what we want to tell you is: the people have your back. And especially on this issue, there is going to be a small segment of the population that shouts things like this is a takeover.

This is, I mean, you may, but people are done with that crap. People are done with those lies. And, you know, the people have your back, Representative. You know, I know that there is an audit that's going to be happening of MSCS, and then you and Senator Taylor are going to be working on a bid. When session reconvenes on specific ways to hold the school board accountable, can you walk through for the listeners what you're expecting to do when session reconvenes and what your current thoughts are on what you're going to be addressing?

Yeah, same. very much and by the way on the audit I was about a meeting, I was talking to the comproller's office this last week. And in a couple of weeks, we will get an update on how the forensic audit is going. Already hearing some things that will be supportive of what we're trying to do. But when we go back the session in January.

The bill that I had, which was An intervention. Bill which a board of managers for our School system. It passed. from the house floor. Yeah.

So A version of it passed on the Senate floor, but is more of a violent Committee. held them right there waiting on this audit.

So we have Come back in in January.

So the bills are alive and well. We're on two-year sessions, and so. we have until April to do something about this. And so Oh w we've got some um a lot of experts coming in to give us advice, and so we're moving full speed ahead.

Well, Representative, thank you so much for everything that you're doing. I know this is something you are watching. Education is your top priority in the Tennessee House, and you've been very vocal on it. You're the leading expert in the legislature. And so, thank you for doing what you're doing.

And I really think the people are wanting that additional accountability that we're seeing in your legislation in the House.

So, folks, be paying attention. We will continue to keep you updated about this. Please follow Representative Mark White on Facebook, the Republican Party of Shelby County on Facebook to stay up to date on what's going to be happening. And we will be sending out action alerts when the session reconvenes for you to reach out to the Tennessee legislature, to the Tennessee senators and representatives saying, We need help here in Memphis. We have the federal government focusing on our crime issue, and we need the state to help us with our education issue.

And then there's nothing stopping Memphis. Representative, thank you for joining. Joining us this morning. We're going to continue to keep the crowd updated. You know, another issue that we saw when it comes to school accountability is Lipscomb Academy is coming under fire, Kristen, because a group of students were.

Showed up to school in red ties to honor Charlie Kirk Charlie. And early on in his time as Turning Point, when he started Turning Point, rather, he wore suits and red ties. And he was kind of known for that. And so these kids, to honor his life, were wearing red ties and were asked to remove them, allegedly, when they showed up to school at Lipscomb Academy.

So the administration at Lipscomb Academy had said that it was a dress code violation. They do wear a uniform to school, and they said that the tie, the red tie, was not part of their uniform. And that is what they used in order to basically bully these kids. The story is that they went from class to class and pulled these kids out and told them to remove their ties.

Now, what I want to know, because we know how progressive this school is, is if they wore a BLM sticker, would they have the same reaction?

Well, we know that the school had released lots of statements. And, you know, my sister, so Lipscomb Academy is a high school in Nashville, and Lipscomb University is a university. They're basically across the street from each other. They may even share a campus. And Lipscomb University runs the academy.

And so they're a joint administration there, you know, where the head of Lipscomb University is the ultimate report for the head of the academy. And my sister went to Lipscomb University, and I texted her about this yesterday. And I'm going to read for you all what my sister, who not only attended Lipscomb University, but also worked in the admissions department when she was there. What my sister had to say.

So I sent her the information, and she said, I am shocked. I know that there were massive vigils for him in the square from students. This seems really out of touch. And so I told her, I said, well, I think you should reach out to your contacts there and ask them what's going on. And she, this is what she said.

This is how woke the administration has gotten there. Faith said, My sister said, Did I ever tell you about the time they made us go to a predominantly black church to better identify with their religious and cultural experience? You failed the class if you didn't go. I also had to go to an AA meeting. Which alcoh that's Alcoholics Anonymous, which I thought.

A was supposed to be anonymous. And she said they also made us ride public transit around the city to better identify with low-income families. Ooh. See, this is that empathy that Charlie Kirk talks about. And the liberals love to take this quote out of context.

But you cannot force empathy. And this is what happens when you try to do that. And that is why it's a make-up word. It is to show people that you have. The ability to walk into somebody else's shoes.

And that is why they are letting criminals back out into the streets. They're not holding anybody accountable, all over empathy. And they're using this to. This is political.

So they're saying that they don't want political things in their school, but they are political. Yeah, it's it's Frustrating, and there's pushback now. Holding the Academy accountable. And I want to know, you know, they were saying, well, it's a dress, it's against dress code to wear a tie. Tell me where in the dress code it says you are not allowed to wear a tie.

I went to a private school and we had a tie on the title. Usually it's the other way around. Yes, and we had to wear a tie on Fridays.

Now, of course, you could wear a tie anyway. Day, but why would any high schooler want to wear a tie every day? And for them to come to the school and wear red ties for a day in honor of Charlie Kirk, maybe even a couple of days, and to have the school pull them aside when we know that the school had released these statements after BLM that I think were even factually incorrect with some of the names that they mentioned, but for the school to then not. I mean, want to talk about empathy. How about having empathy for the students who are grieving the assassination of Charlie Kirk?

No, it's only one-sided empathy, and that's why it's taken a political. um stance. And then the the principal savage, she's actually Bin Basically demoted.

Well, they said they said, well, this has been in the works for a long time. It's just a very coincidental timing. Yeah, he's taken out of his principle.

So yeah, he's been taken out of his role as principal, and he's been given another job at the school.

So they haven't fired him. But they just move people around. And anybody who's ever worked in education, including myself, knows that that's what they do. They can't really fire anybody in education, but you just move the bad seeds around.

Well, folks, I have contact information. If you would like to reach out to Lipscomb University and Lipscomb Academy to ask why they did this, to hold. To have some accountability. And again, accountability is not a dirty word. Go to my social media.

It's on my X account, formerly known as Twitter, at LukeSymbol. You can call the school, you can email the school and ask what's going on here. And folks, it's time for us to unashamedly. Not back down. And hold these people accountable and do it in a respectful way.

We're not going to burn down buildings, of course, but we can email, we can call, and we can say this is not acceptable.

So that is on my X account. Hey, speaking of unacceptable, we are going to talk about how the Trump administration is finally fighting back against the radical. The radical prosecutors, the attempted coup against the Trump administration in his first term. We're going to talk about that. Stay tuned.

But first, let's go to a sports update. We're going to throw it to our sports analyst, Parker May. From director Sean Magnamara comes Soul on Fire, based on a true story. They said you had no chance, but here you are. Starring Joel Courtney, John Corbett, Stephanie Shostak, Macy McLean, but Devon Franklin, and William H.

Macy. You focus exactly on loving the life that you're living right now, not the life that you think you could have had or shoulda had. That's the whole deal right there.

Soul on Fire, rated PG. Colonel Guinness suggested. In theaters October 10th. For tickets, go to soul on firemovie.com. Own fun.

Good intro music, Cassie. I'm digging this. This is kind of nice. It's got just enough intensity for your Monday morning, but still a little calming as we ease back into the world. I'm a 90s kid, so this is right up my alley.

Um you know, something that I think you and I both really appreciate is President Trump teaching our Republicans how to fight and how not to back down and how not to be afraid of what the lamestream media is saying about you, but to continue to fight. And that even if a negative story comes out about you, Republicans, when people read it, They agree with you, right? They're reading a negative story, but they're saying, wait, I don't want illegal aliens in my community. Wait, I don't want my education system to be going. Is that really racist?

Because I don't think that's racist.

So why are they using that word? It just doesn't work anymore. It just doesn't work. You've ever used it. Yeah.

And something that the Trump administration is. Fighting back on is how the Swamp. and the Hillary Clinton campaign and the FBI James Comey really attempted a coup against the sitting President of the United States by lying about Russia, Russia, Russia. And I think this is This is where we're starting to hear some Republicans say, Well, I don't know if they may do it back to us, but no, we have got to fight. Stephen Miller addresses this and how the Trump administration is not going to allow such coups to ever happen again in SOT2.

Comey, Clapper, Brennan, Obama, Monaco all conspired together, all worked together to try to sabotage, undermine, unravel the democratic institutions and structures of this country. The Russagate hoax, the Russia Gate conspiracy. And all of the assaults against our liberties that went with it. The pre-dawn raids, the handcuffing of innocent Americans, the espionage against President Trump's campaign and staff. the removal of his national security advisor.

One fake indictment, one fake charge after another, the special counsel, all of it. was a unrelenting attempt to overthrow the government the American people voted for. I cannot find words harsh enough to condemn the conduct of these conspirators, these insurrectionists. And they called us conspiracy theorists. We've been screaming this for years.

It is not a theory, people. It is a conspiracy. And it's just like what the Marxists do. Um They scream democracy. They scream, you need to uphold the principles of democracy, and yet, what they did.

For four longer than four years. What they did for eight years under the first Trump administration and then the entire Biden term in the White House was. was attack Democracy and the duly elected President Donald Trump of the United States, James Comey, lied. in front of He lied in his testimony. Being sworn in to uphold the Constitution, to uphold the truth, and he lied saying he was not leaking information.

From the intelligence community. Yes, he was, and he was just indicted on that last week. That is treason. It is treason. You know, when I heard...

Uh there's this Martha Stewart documentary on Netflix. And I had always thought when I when I was in law school, I looked deeply into her case and I thought, how in the world was she sent to jail for this? The evidence was dubious. Yes. Whether or not she knew what her financial advisor was doing was questionable at best.

And the feds came after her with the full force. And when I learned That James Comey was the head prosecutor on Martha Stewart's case. I knew that was a political or a unjust prosecution. At some point, she must have done something. to make them up.

She was too famous. James Comey was more concerned about becoming famous himself. Yeah. Well, it's it's the famous, but these famous people, if they don't toe the line, then they get attacked.

So apparently, she wasn't at some point toe-ing the line. I don't know. But when I learned that James Comey was the head prosecutor on Martha Stewart's case, I immediately. thought well Unjust because that is who James Comey is. In my opinion, he is an evil man who is more concerned about himself.

lying under oath. Then about the Democrat Institutions, democratic institutions in this country.

So when they scream democracy, All you have to do is say Russia, Russia, Russia, you are liars. And they are going to, you're going to find that as they go through all of this evidence, it's the same people over and over again. They are all connected to each other in all these scandals.

So you have Adam Schiff and Chuck Schumer, and all of their names keep popping up again and again and again.

So they are not only committing one crime, they have committed lots and lots of crimes over and over again, and they're still committing them. It's it's Terrible. And folks, you know, I keep hearing from some of these Republicans saying, well, we need to be careful. We don't want this to happen to us. The only way they learn is if we hold them accountable.

And so that's the theme of today, Kristen. Whether it's local crime and education, whether it's national issues, accountability, Sarah Carpenter, like you said in the Daily Memphis, is not a dirty word. Folks, thank you for joining us this morning. Todd is back tomorrow. Join us tomorrow, 7 a.m.

Maybe we'll call in to say hi to Todd. Yeah, maybe we should. Maybe I'll sleep in. See y'all.
