Live from the Liberty University Studio in Memphis, Tennessee, it's America's favorite gun totem, Bible-clinging, deplorable America. Sam. That's right. I love this American ride. Todd Starns.
Oh, yeah.
Well, hello, everybody. Welcome to the Todd Sterns Radio Show. Trust you are doing well wherever you might be today. We've got a lot going on across America, and just want to, again, just want to remind you. Be cool, folks.
All right. Look, everything is going to be just fine. We are not on the verge of World War III. I know there are a lot of fear mongers out there, and they're trying to get everybody riled up. You've got Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens and all of that crew, and they are clearly coming guns ablazing after President Trump and the people they call neocons.
Now, I. Look, here's the deal. And you can, I mean, you may have a very different opinion about all of this, but let me just say something. President Trump's opinion has never wavered. The president's opinion on Iran has always been the same, and it's a pretty reasonable thing here.
Iran can never be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons. That's just that cannot be allowed. And yet, you have people on the other side of the aisle, and by the other side of the aisle, I mean within the Trump world, you've got Steve Bannon, you've got Tucker Carlson, you've got all of these other folks who do not want us to have any sort of involvement in Iran.
Now, Trump is not talking about going to war, he's not talking about putting troops on the ground in Iran.
Okay. The President and this country can eliminate the threat simply by lobbing a few bombs over there. And eliminating the nuclear program that Iran has built.
Now, that in and of itself is enough to set off a lot of these. Isolationist. And again, I don't believe we ought to be fighting other people's wars. I just do not believe that. What Russia and Ukraine do, that's their business.
That is not our business. But what's happening in Iran is our business on two different levels. Number one, Israel is an ally of the United States. And what does it say? And I'm just curious with these isolationists.
Would they prefer that we have no allies? Would they prefer that we just go it alone? That we have no friends? Is that what they're advocating here? Because under our agreements, under our treaties.
If someone attacks one of our allies like Israel, then we jump into the fight. But I'm just wondering now, or there seems to be a large contingent of the Republican Party of the conservative movement who says, well, we don't need any more allies. It's us and us alone. That's it. Don't bother us.
Okay. Okay. That's okay. But again, we do have a treaty. Are they suggesting we break the treaty with Israel?
Are they suggesting we sever all ties with Israel? What about the UK? Are these folks okay with us having a relationship with the British or the French? I mean, where do we draw the line here? What about Japan?
Because There's got to be, I mean, you can't just do one thing for Israel and something else for our other allies unless, unless the real issue here. has nothing to do with Iran or Trump, and it has everything to do with anti Semitism. Just throwing that out there, because I'm beginning to get whiffs of anti Semitism coming from this bunch. And it's not a good smell. It's not a good odor.
Now, that's one.
So, again, number one, we have a responsibility to step in. Number two, Number two is we have skin in this fight. The Iranians say they want to destroy us as well. But apparently, there are some people in MAGA World who believe that the moral high grant and here's what gets me is they will say the same thing. They will repeat, they will parrot the same talking points.
We don't believe that Iran should be getting nuclear weapons.
So, okay, if you don't believe they should get weapons, what are we going to do to stop them from getting those weapons? And that's where they go off the rails.
So, in essence, what they're saying is that they really don't care if Iran does get the nuclear weapons because they don't want to intervene.
So if we were to do as the isolationists say, then Iran would get the bomb. They would have the ability to make these nuclear weapons. Iran has promised, number one, to wipe Israel off the face of the earth, and number two, the Iranian government has promised to destroy America, who they call the Great Satan. That's us. But it seems to me that some in MAGA World believe the moral high ground here.
is to let there to let Iran get the nuclear weapons and let them use those nuclear weapons against Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, New York and Los Angeles.
So the moral high ground for them are giant radioactive mushroom clouds over Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, New York and Los Angeles. That's the most ludicrous thing I've ever heard. But, Todd, how dare you twist our words? Who do you think you are? You neocon.
I'm not an. You can call me all the names you want to call me, but hear me on this because. They're not thinking all of this through. They're out there telling Trump We're not we're not going to World War III. We're not going to send our kids.
Well, nobody's asking you to send your kids. Nobody's asking. We don't have a draft, ladies and gentlemen. He's all a volunteer military. How dare you!
Getting us involved in another war. We've got no business fighting. Really, you see, this is where I've got a problem. We do have business fighting this one.
So, if you've got somebody out there for the past, I don't know, 50 years, they've been chanting death to America, and all of a sudden they've got a nuclear weapon and they want to launch it. To me, that seems like we've got skin in this game. But again, to all of these people, the Tuckers and the Candace's and the MTGs and all these folks on the other side of this issue, here's my question: At what point is there intervention when the nuclear bomb is in the air, the nuclear missile is in the air? Is that when we're supposed to intervene? Or do we just wait until it explodes and then are we allowed to respond in kind?
Or maybe this crowd believes that we should not intervene at all, that we should just allow all these other countries to attack us at will and we do nothing about it. It's very strange.
So look, last night, Tucker Carlson had Senator Ted Cruz. On his show, and they did an interview. And it did not go well for either side. And both sides are claiming victory over all of this. But I want you to hear Tucker Carlson And again, this is the low-hanging fruit, and I'll explain what I mean by that, but let's take a listen.
How many people live in Iran, by the way? I I don't know the population at all. No, I don't know the population. You don't know the population of the country you seek to topple? Shit.
How many people living around? 92 million.
Okay. Yeah, how could you not know that? I don't sit around memorizing population tables.
Well, it's kind of relevant because you're calling for the overthrow of the government. Why is it relevant whether it's 90 million or 80 million or 100 million? Because if you don't know anything about the country, I didn't say I don't know anything about the country.
Okay, what's the ethnic mix of Iran? They are Persians and predominantly Shia.
Okay, you don't know anything about Iran.
So, okay, I am not the Tucker Carlson expert on Iran. You're a senator who's calling for the government. You don't know anything about the country. No, you don't know anything about the country. You're the one who claims they're not trying to murder Donald Trump.
I'm not saying that. Who can't figure out if they're going to kill General Suleimani? You just said it was bad they're trying to murder Trump. Yes, I did. Because you're not calling for military strikes against them in retaliation.
If they really believe that they're carrying out military strikes today, you said Israel was. Right, with our help. I'm saying we. Israel is leading them, but we're supporting them.
Well, you're breaking news here because the U.S. government last night denied, the National Security Council spokesman Alex Pfeiffer denied on behalf of Trump that we were acting on Israel's behalf in any offensive capacity.
Well, we're not bombing them. Israel's bombing them. You just said we were. We are supporting Israel as a senior sakes. You're a senator.
If you're saying the United States government is a war with Iran right now, people are listening. I'm just annoyed. Folks, may I just give you fair warning about the rest of this? I'm in a bad mood today. And a lot of it has to do with this, because the conservative movement, ladies and gentlemen, has been corrupted.
The conservative movement has been corrupted for a very long time. And there's no use even explaining it. I have debated for the past, I don't know, four years whether or not to write about all of this because the conservative movement has been corrupted by grifters, people who really aren't conservative. By the way, Tucker Carlson is not a conservative. He was a libertarian, and I like Tucker.
I don't know what's going on here. Yeah. But I'm detecting a lot of hatred at Israel because Senator Cruz probably should have never agreed to do this interview. But again, why you do that? Tucker was going for the low-hanging fruit and the gotcha questions.
I would have just turned it right around. And if I had been Senator Cruz, I would have turned it right around. All right, Tucker.
Well, how many people live in Israel? What do you mean you don't know Tucker? Are you a Jew hater? I mean, that's basically, I mean, that's how I would have handled it because that's what Tucker was trying to do. He was trying to embarrass Ted Cruz.
And again, I mean, the point was 90 million people living in Iran, and Tucker was trying to bait him into explaining, like, well, okay, how many of those people are you willing to slaughter?
Well, I will just say this. I'm happy to answer that question. I want to slaughter the people that are making the bombs and that are pushing the buttons to send the bombs to America. Those are the people we're trying to eliminate. And by the way, The answer to this question is very simple.
The Israelis are only targeting military sites in Iran right now with incredible precision. Does Tucker have a problem with that? Clearly, he does, based on the aggressive nature of this interview. That was a weird, weird interview. They're going to release all of it today.
But my question to Tucker would have been, and when he would have said, I don't know, Tucker, how many how many fine, Tucker, how many Jews live in Israel? I don't know. How dare you ask me?
Well, what what why don't you know the answer, Tucker? Are you anti Jewish? Do you hate Jews? Is that why you don't know how many people live in Israel? Mm-hmm.
Why do you want to know such a question, Starnes? Why are you putting me on the spot? How am I supposed to know the population of Israel? Because, Tucker, The Iranians say they want to eliminate the 7.2 million Jews. Who reside in the nation of Israel?
Are you okay with that, Tucker? You okay with that? You okay with a modern day Holocaust? I mean, that's how I would have handled it. But again, I wasn't invited to the interview, but that's how I would have handled it.
Yeah. I think we're almost to a point where everybody needs to show their cards on this. If you hate Jews, if you're anti-Semite, just say you are. I don't care who you are. I don't care if you're a famous person or nobody.
But put Israel aside for just a moment. What about America? How many people are we willing to sacrifice here? Ladies and gentlemen. In all honesty, how many people?
Because under the philosophies of this, we will not fight any wars ever again. That comes with a price.
So, are we willing to sacrifice New York City? Are we willing to sacrifice Los Angeles? Or what about Atlanta or Nashville? What about Indianapolis? How far do we take all of this?
But in all honesty, folks, I'm just disgusted because the conservative world has been filled with a lot of grifters, a lot of people that are getting paid by Muslim countries, very wealthy countries. A lot of people that are paid to pretend to be conservatives and they're really not. And these folks have millions and millions of followers. And it is a very dangerous. path we're all going down right now.
And I think it's incumbent. I'm pretty open and honest on this program. I tell you what I believe. If you support it, great. If not, that's great too.
You get to call in and you can rip me a new one. Or at least try. But I'm telling you We've got some problems in the conservative movement, and it has nothing to do with Donald Trump, because Donald Trump's opinion through all of this, through all of it, has never, ever wavered. Period. All right, we got to take a break here.

That number again, 1-800-839-8506, promo code STARNS. Uh All right, welcome back to the Tom Sterns Radio Show. You know what's interesting about Iran, you have to go all the way back to the 1970s. And Under the rule of the Shah of Iran, and his father was the Shah before he was installed. Um Iran was a beautiful place.
It was, as a matter of fact, the Shah of Iran, his father, was the one who modernized. Iran. He actually promoted Western culture in Iran, and it was a thriving city. When you go back and look at the photographs of people, and especially women, that were living in Iran at the time, they were allowed to wear the latest fashions, they were able to wear makeup, they had their hair done, and it was I mean, it was a very exotic nation, Tehran, a very exotic city. And the liberals at the time in Washington DC, convinced Jimmy Carter to destabilize the Shah of Iran.
and his leadership there, which led to the Islamic Revolution. And we're going to play some audio coming up in just a little while from Whoopi Goldberg. And Whoopi is out there saying that the Iranians have it pretty good.
Well, they don't, especially women. Women are not allowed to hold positions of authority. Women are not allowed to walk outside without having their faces covered and their heads covered. Women are literally the property of their husbands in Iran. And all of that is because liberals in this country destabilized the Shah of Iran.
Was the Shah a dictator? Yeah, absolutely, but he was their dictator. More importantly, he was a friend to our nation. And at the time Iran was not the chief global leader in terrorism. That's one of their biggest exports alongside oil now.
So not only did the policies of the Democrats destabilize the nation and lead to the rise of Islamic radicalism, they also it also led to global terrorism. And some might even say it led to what happened on September 11, 2001. I mean, look, it's really, really bad. But again, Donald Trump is not talking about going to war. Donald Trump is all about stopping their nuclear program.
And look, if Iran wants to wants to Come after us? That's going to be bad news because Donald Trump is playing hardball and he doesn't care what a former Fox News host thinks. He really doesn't. He really doesn't. Donald Trump is going to do what Donald Trump believes is best.
And I say, good for you, Mr. President. All right, we've got to take a quick break here. 901-260-5926, our number. That's 901-260-5926.

Available at PocketHost.com slash terms. All right, welcome back. Good to have you with us. This is the Todd Stearns radio show. I'm getting quite a bit of blowback.
I love this. This is great on X. I just asked a simple question, at what point is military intervention permissible? When there are mushroom clouds over American cities? I mean, how many.
Americans need to be slaughtered until we are permitted by these isolationists to take action.
So, people are really upset about this. Um, They're they're suggesting that um I'm a war shill. They say, How many wars have we been involved in that went nowhere and cost trillions? Again, Trump has never said war against Iran. It's a matter of dropping a couple of bombs over there and eliminating, eliminating.
their nuclear capability. By the way, I do not believe we ought to be involved in regime change. I know you've got Senator James Langford out there from Oklahoma. You've got Lindsey Graham from South Carolina, and they're openly calling for regime change in Iran. We don't do regime change well in this country at all.
This guy, Ben, writes in: by the same logic, we would have justified a preemptive strike against Russia. After their first verified newt test was publicly demonstrated. All right, let me explain here something. Iran wants to abolish, obliterate America. They want to wipe us off the face of the earth.
So again, my question is, and nobody answers the question. You notice that? Nobody wants to answer the question.
So are we how many cities do we sacrifice before we intervene and say, okay, no more? But, ladies and gentlemen. The more I the more I'm reading comments. About all of this, the more I'm believing that we have an anti-Semitism problem within the Republican Party. And I suspect that the real reason to all of this opposition and this anger has nothing to do with Iran and everything to do with the following quote.
We just don't like Jews. But I don't think anybody's willing to say that out loud. But I think that's ultimately what's going on. As for me and my house, We proudly stand with Israel. All right, let's go to the phone lines here: 901-260-5926.
We will start the day in beautiful Iowa. Jerry, listening to us on K-X-E-L. Hi, Jerry. What's on your mind? Thank you, Brother Todd, for helping keep free speech alive in America.
I mean, where else can you call up a radio and talk about stuff? I'm just an average guy. I want to say God bless Israel and God bless the USA. That's in the Bible.
So this question of US interventionism. For a long time now in our history, We're darned if we do and we're darned if we don't. Netunyahoo said the other day that Iran is not on the verge of having one atomic bomb. On the verge of having nine freaking atomic bombs.
So their world tour of destruction. It's really planned. They want to stop by the uh Jerusalem first and pop one there, maybe get one in New York or Whatever, or LA, Frisco, DC. This is not the average regime. It's not even like Kim Jong-Frico.
To Most people who have most countries have nukes, it's their last line of defense. You can't start popping these things. Truman did us a favor in World War I by showing what can happen. World War II. Normal countries.
Do not view those as offensive weapons. I ran They're telling us ahead of time that's what they're going to do. They're going to use these things not as defensive weapons.
So the Tucker and Trump. Disagreement. Um I think there's a rewriting history problem. The Iraq War, I remember how the Iraq War started. It started with Chemical Ali, and Saddam refused to show us what he was doing with yellow cake, the precursors for bomb materials.
Vietnam War, rewrote history. They said it was a stupid war. It was about opposing communism. I can't stand it when people rewrite history about Iraq and Vietnam. The U.
S. is primarily a defensive country, and there is no place for anti Semitism.
So the U. S. has a problem going back and forth With do we get we're always punished whether we get in war or not. It goes back to Our doctrine in World War I was awful, so we stayed out of World War II for a long time. What would that cost us?
A terrible price for invasion.
So so we're We cannot let Iran have a nuclear bomb because they're going to use it. We don't want to intervene. I don't think Tucker is anti-Semite at all. I think people who are anti-Semite are stupid and don't read the Bible. We love our Jewish friends.
I'm going over there in not too long from my son and I, and we're going to do vacation industry. We're going to stop by all the restaurants. We're going to buy food. We're going to have American flags. We are going to defend Israel, and Donald Trump is doing the right thing.
So let's go ahead and blow up all their ballistic missile factories. And I'm fine with it. I'm actually glad. We're not starting World War III. We're preventing World War III.
Thanks, Todd. I love you, man.
Well, thanks, Jerry. And I appreciate the call. Look, here's the deal: look, I don't think Tucker is anti-Semite, but I'm telling you, there is a massive growth of anti-Semitism within the Republican Party. And I've seen it, it's on social media, and it is ugly, absolutely ugly. But at the same time, I'm just not hearing a lot of I'm not hearing a lot of well thought-out opinions here.
Understand this: if you're in Israel right now, you've got a ballistic missile that's launched from Iran, you've got 12 to 15 minutes. Before impact. Not a lot of time. One of the hypersonic missiles, just under seven minutes, ladies and gentlemen. That's not a lot of time.
So again, what's the end game here? Let's just assume, let's just say that we follow the guidelines of the isolationists and we do nothing. And we just let Iran develop the bomb. Iran gets the bomb, and then Iran launches the bomb. At what point, I mean, are we looking at 7 million, the eradication of 7 million Jews in Israel?
And what will the isolationist say then? Oopsie. Oops. Wow. I guess they were serious when they said death to Israel.
Oopsie. Our bad. I mean, I'm just wondering, what do you say after the bomb's already been launched? I mean, what do you do at that point? Let's go to Ocala, Florida, Richard.
On the line. Hi, Richard. What's up?
Well, I've just been listening, Todd. I agree with you 100%. Uh let me add another thought to it. For these all these people that think they're not going to do it. Once they develop that bomb, they're not going to stop with Israel.
Remember, they call America big Satan and Israel Little Satan. It'll be a suitcase bomb in a half a dozen cities of our country that goes off at the same time they eliminate Israel. I think Trump needs to take him out, not tell nobody about it, tell the world to go fly kite. And that big one that's down underneath the mountain they're talking about, I think he needs to take that one out and all the rest of them at one fell swoop. and be done with it.
Cut the head off the snake, and I and I want to be careful, but I almost think you need to take the Atolla out at the same time. Um and uh put that thing to sleep. And that's going to eliminate not only them, but all these little other Tamas and all these other guys that's going to put the quietest on them. And that's my opinion, sir. Richard, well, look, I appreciate you calling in.
And yeah, I'm with you. We've got to cut the head off the snake. I am not a fan of regime change. That's up to the Iranians. They need to be able to do what they want to do.
The reality is that under the Shah of Iran, and going back, not the 19, the Shah that was overthrown, but his father, well, actually, both of them were secularist.
So they actually stopped the clerics, the Islamist clerics, from being actively involved in government. And that, of course, that was necessary. Otherwise, you would have had, you know, you would have had an Islamic state, which is what they have now. But the reality is, ladies and gentlemen, that the Shah of Iran. Those guys, the Iranians had more freedom, they had more prosperity, they were better educated.
They had more freedom. This is not American freedom, but they had freedom. more so than they have now. By the way, Paul, our good friend Paul Shanklin, is sending a note here and says, Todd, it's a massive anti-Semitism among the Utes. Libertarians believe that Israel has undue influence on our foreign policy.
But since we're about the only country that'll help them, it would make sense for them to try to influence us as much as possible. I don't blame them for that. No, I don't either. I mean, you've got a tiny little sliver of a nation, and you've got an entire region of the world that wants to wipe them off the face of the earth, and we're the only guys that are going to be their friends. We've been with Israel from day one.
We're friends. Joanna writes on our Facebook live stream, Todd, why were you so against getting involved with the war in Ukraine, but are ready to dive headfirst into the war in Israel?
Well Joanna, thank you for that. I'm happy to answer that question. Ukraine is not our ally. Israel is our ally. And I'm not diving headfirst into anything.
Nobody's diving headfirst into war. Four American presidents before Donald J. Trump vowed to stop Iran from getting nukes. All four of the presidents, Democrat, Republic, all of them, agreed there's no way we can let the Iranians get the nukes. And so, in response to that, Joanna writes in: like all those weapons of mass destruction that we never found, Israel is capable of defending itself.
Yes, they are. But there are some things and we explained this yesterday on the show, Joanna, that one of the nuclear plants of facilities is buried deep in a mountain, and we're going to need a bunker buster bomb. Those can only be delivered with aircraft that we currently own. Israel does not have that technology. that capability.
But again, that's not going to war against Iran.
So, you know, again, happy, happy to. to hear from the naysayers out there. But the reality is, I have never been a pro-war person. I was against the Iraq war because We had no business being there. That was not our fight.
That was George W. trying to make good on his daddy. H.W. And by the way. When we did go in and we fought the Persian Gulf War, we should have gone in to win that war.
Instead, we allowed the United Nations, and again, if you want to go back and track your history on this, we allowed the United Nations to set the parameters for that war.
So it was a series of battles that we won. But the war was not won. All right, 901-260-5926. Our telephone number, that's 901-260-5926. You know, a lot of folks.

So we're going to be a little busy. But tomorrow, tomorrow night, I want to share this info with all of our great Wichita listeners. We are having a huge event sponsored by the Sedgwick County Republican Party, as well as. As KQAM, the big talker, and that's at 6:30 at the Wichita Area Builders Association building.
So, we'd love to see all you folks out there. We're going to be signing books. I'll be sharing a few words. We're going to have a lot of fun. If you've been to our book signing events, you know you're going to have a great time.
And so, we're excited to be in Wichita tomorrow. Then, Friday, I'll be speaking at the Kansas Republican Party, their state party meeting. Also, I'll be keynoting at the National Right to Life Convention that's meeting in Kansas City. And we'll be telling you more about that as we get to Kansas. I have a flight tomorrow at like 4 o'clock in the morning.
Jeez, a lou.
So, anyway, it's going to be a lot of fun. But I want to get back to our book for just a moment because we do need your help. You know, we don't have the vast power of Fox News behind us anymore, and that's okay because we have millions of people that listen to this radio program and download our podcast. And we've got the audience to make this book a bestseller across the country. Country.
We just need you to head over to Amazon or wherever you get your books and be sure to order a copy. And more importantly, if you're on Amazon, be sure to leave a review of the book while you are there.
So we certainly could use your help in those endeavors. Again, Star Spangled Blessings, Devotions for Patriots. It is available in hardcover, in Kindle, as well as the audio version. And if you have an Amazon Prime membership, you can actually get the audio version free of charge. It won't cost you a single penny.
And I had the honor of recording that book. It was a lot of fun. We had a great time.
Okay. Coming up, we're going to be talking to a Texas state senator. Who is a fierce, a fierce defender of the Ten Commandments? And he's got a great story to share. Also, Kelly Shackleford is going to be joining us.
He was not able to be with us yesterday. He's going to join us later on in the show to talk about the president's new Religious Liberty Commission. A couple of other big stories we're looking at: the president installing two giant American flagpoles. On the north and south lawns of the White House. And as the President pointed out, Up until today, we only had a teeny, tiny little American flag.
at the very top of the White House, on the roof of the White House. That was it. That was it. But now, thanks to President Trump, we have two giant flagpoles. 100 feet tall, and they're going to be flying old glory.
It's going to be pretty exciting. I can't wait to see the flags. The president was out there with the construction crews today overseeing the project, and it was just brilliant. We're going to play some audio from the press conference there. The president taking questions from reporters, but he is all about the construction efforts.
By the way, the president is paying for all of this out of his own pocket. And he said these are state-of-the-art flagpoles, unlike anything you've ever seen at the White House.
So the president wanted to do this as a lasting gift to the American people. The guy loves old glory. Yeah. I mean, my favorite pictures of the president when he's hugging the flag, he's embracing. Physically embracing the flag on stage.
I mean, come on.
So, thank you, Mr. President, for doing that. I know he's catching some flack in the media. They would much rather presidents burn the flag, but not President Trump. He's going to, and I can't wait to see the flags.
These are going to be like camping world-size flags. I love it. Can't wait to see them. All right. Hang tight, everybody.
Got to take a quick break. Don't forget, get your copy of Star Spangled Blessings Devotions for Patriots. It is book launch week here on the Touchstarters Show. Sponsored by the Sedgwick County Republican Party in Wichita, Kansas, our great affiliate, KQAM, the big talker. And we're going to be doing a book signing. It's a great event. That's tomorrow, 6:30, and that's going to be held at the Wichita Area Builders Association building.
So we hope to see all of our great Kansas listeners out there tomorrow. It's going to be a lot of fun. We're very excited about the book launch.
Well, I have a question for you, ladies and gentlemen. When you were a kid, You got to think back. Do you remember your classroom? There was a In your classroom, there was, in many cases, there were Bibles. Many of you were given a Gideon Bible when you were a kid in your classroom.
And I remember my public school classrooms. Hope P. Sullivan Elementary School in South Haven, Mississippi. And I remember we had the Ten Commandments on the wall.
Well, that's Certainly not the case in many schools around the nation, but it's about to be in the great state of Texas. And I know this is exciting news to all of our Texas listeners. On the Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line, we're honored to have State Senator Phil King joining us, who authored legislation mandating the Ten Commandments be placed in every school classroom across Texas. Senator, what an honor to have you with us. Thank you.
Delighted to be here.
Well, let's first of all talk about the legislation. Why did you push this legislation?
Well, to be honest, there were two reasons. I mean, first, Uh and You kind of alluded to it in your in your introduction, but if you don't know the Ten Commandments, You really don't know the basis for much of American history and law. I mean, It's such a part of American history and traditions. We wanted kids to understand where we came from, what was important to our founding fathers, what's been a part of our education system, what shaped our law for decades and decades, hundreds of years. But also, we wanted to take advantage of this period.
The lemon law was struck by the Coach Kennedy case. In that lemon law, Was the basis, I guess, since 1971 for a lot of really bad. Um religious liberty jurisprudence. And even though Lima's gone, there's what we like to call the ghost of lemon Uh all over our courts. In one of those, is a 1980 case.
that came out of Kentucky, Stone v. Graham, that said That you could not put the Ten Commandments. in classrooms, and that's when they began to be taken down. And so we want kids to understand the Ten Commandments and its relevance in our history and our culture. Our law?
And we also want the opportunity for this to work its way up to the Supreme Court because we know we'll get sued. and we want it to get rid to overturn that uh bad uh Kentucky case from nineteen eighty. I mean, the fact of the matter is that the Ten Commandments I b I believe are displayed in the Supreme Court building itself.
So if if it can be displayed in the Supreme Court, why can't it not be displayed in a public school classroom?
Well, like I said, under that lemon test from Lemon v. Kurzman, 1971, it was basically you had to, if you check these boxes, then you could not have any religious reference in the public square. And we had all these terrible cases come out of the Supreme Court and other courts around the country based on limit. limb is gone now. And so this is our opportunity to reassert Our First Amendment rights are for religious liberty.
And but you're right. If you look back, I mean, the Ten Commandments were in public school textbooks. There were tests on them, not just because it was telling kids how to live and that God said to do this, but because it was the basis for our law.
Now, the other thing, Todd, we want, I don't want to get just hung up on the legal side of this because we want. Every kid. K four through twelve. Every day in every classroom they sit in to look on the wall and read. It's wrong to kill, it's wrong to steal, it's wrong to lie, you're to be faithful to people.
And we want them to see those words. you know, that that God says, because we want them to understand how important that those statements of God Those rules of God are That they see them in their classroom every single day of their public education. I love this. I think it's a great idea. We broadcast from my hometown of Memphis, Tennessee.
I would love for every child here in a public school classroom to see the words, Thou shalt not kill. We need that here. We are the homicide capital of America. And, Senator, I wonder. If the fact that we've removed the Ten Commandments, we've removed God, we've removed the Bible from our public school classrooms, I'm wondering if this has led to all of the chaos in our culture right now.
Well, another senator said on the floor during the debate Yeah, how since we've took taken prayer. And the Bible and the Ten Commandments and all the morality that comes from that. Since we've taken that out of the classrooms, he said, hey, public schools, how's that working out for you? It's a great question. And by the way, going back to the Supreme Court for just a moment, not one, I need to correct.
And on this show, Senator, we correct errors. I made an error. I said the Ten Commandments was displayed in the Supreme Court. No, it's displayed two times. There are two locations in the Supreme Court.
So that tells me our founding fathers were pretty deliberate that those were very important to the rule of law in America.
Well, it it's there is There is There are very few documents. Yeah. Bigger impact on Western civilization, not just America, than the Ten Commandments. And again, that's why for two hundred years up until 1980, you saw it in public buildings across America. You saw it in schools across America.
And like you said, it's still displayed in the Supreme Court. It's actually when they shut the doors of the Supreme Court, the Ten Commandments are on the inside doors engraven there. And in the Texas Capitol, we have on the Texas Capitol grounds, we have I have a stone tablet, and it has the Ten Commandments on it. And it's been there, wow, I guess at least. since the mid nineteen seventies?
On the Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line today, folks, we have Texas State Senator Phil King, and he authored a Ten Commandments law. I'm curious here. We're waiting for the governor to sign it, right?
So it's passed the Senate, it's passed the House, and we're just waiting for the governor to sign it. Yes, and he's voiced enthusiastic support for it since before the legislative session began. I think he's we're going to do it in kind of a Ceremonial type of signing and draw attention. We had a couple of other really strong religious liberty bills passed, and I think he's probably going to sign all of those with us there at the same time.
Well, I'm glad to hear that. I'm glad Governor Abbott's going to do that. I know we have a lot of listeners across the great state of Texas, including there in the Houston area, by the way, on Patriot Talk 9:20 a.m. Great, great people there. Senator, I want to read something to you.
This is from an opponent of all of this. Honestly, I'm shocked. I kind of even figured the Democrats would go along with something like this, but you know, it is what it is. And I may be butchering the poor guy's name. My apologies.
State Representative James Tallarico from Austin, who identifies himself as a seminary student and former public school teacher. He says: once the government can start dictating something like the true text of the Ten Commandments, what is to stop the government from dictating the true meaning of the gospel or the true meaning of the sacraments? I think for those whose goal is with this bill to create a new generation of Christians, I think it will actually have the opposite effect. And I worry these kinds of bills will actually create a new generation of atheists who think our religion is more about power than love. What is that guy smoking, Senator?
Well, let me say James is a nice guy. I think he's very sincere. He is just extremely sincerely liberal. And he opposes this and any other religious liberty bill for the most part. Uh You know You can try to find a devil in everything.
But at the end of the day, the Supreme Court has correctly said that we can have things in our educational system that reflect our historical practices and understandings as Americans, and in our case, as Texans also. And the Ten Commandments has been a part of that education system for it was up until 1980 for a couple of for what, over 200 years, really dating back because it predated the revolution being involved in our education system. Religious liberty, Christian education, the Bible, the Judeo-Christian ethics, the legal system that grew out of that, that is what America was built on and remains today as our foundation. And so I just think James is way overreacting to this.
Some people said, well, why don't we also post the Koran? Apparently, it has a similar type statement and or the code of Hammurabi or something like that. And the simple answer is that those aren't part of the historical practices and understandings of the United States. They're not part of what built our culture in our history. And so I think James is overreacting.
I think he's dead wrong. We disagree. He's just a he's sincere, but he's just sincerely wrong. And his grandfather was a Baptist preacher. I'm shocked, shocked by that one.
Okay, we'll leave it there. Senator, we really appreciate you coming on the show. Congratulations. This is exciting. And honestly, I truly believe that the kids growing up in Texas and going to public schools, I think they're going to be better off for all of this.
I'll give you the final word. Think about this, five point five million public school kids in Texas And the big chore we have now, we've got seven thousand campuses, We are trying to get a good count on the number of classrooms, and we're in the process of raising money through a bunch of different groups, many of which you know, Wall Builders being one of them that's leading it. And raising money to get these printed up and get them put into those classrooms before school. Goal starts. All right.
I love it. All right, Senator. Thank you very much. God bless you, sir. Appreciate you.
Thank you. All right. There you have it, folks. And I'm excited about this. Governor Abbott is expected to sign this, and the Ten Commandments will be required to be posted in every public school classroom in the Lone Star State.
Is that a good thing or a bad thing? We're going to open up the phone lines and love to hear from all of you, and especially from our great Texas listeners. 901-260-5926. That's 901-260-5926. This is the Todd Stern Show.
All right, we have some exclusive video to share with you. If you go to our Todd Stern's Facebook page, and we have, gosh, we're knocking on the door of a half a million followers on Facebook. If you go over to their Facebook page, you'll be able to watch the video. President Trump just moments ago raised those giant, beautiful American flags on the north and south lawns of the White House. Aunt Folks, I've never seen anything more beautiful.
They just absolutely Absolutely sending a statement to the rest of the world that we are loud and proud Americans.
Well done, Mr. President. And by the way, President Trump paying for all of this out of his own pocket. He wanted to do this as a gift to the American people. And I just think that's just really a tremendous thing.
All right, let's go to the phone lines here: 901-260-5926. Do you support posting the Ten Commandments in school classrooms? Let's say hello to Carol in League City, Texas, listening to us on Patriot Talk 920. Hi, Carol. What say you?
Hi, Todd. I approve of that one hundred percent or maybe one thousand percent. And I think the Ten Commandments are the basic rules that God gave us. on how to live our lives and what to do and what not to do. You know, Carol, do you remember, Matt, when you were a kid?
I mean, we had very few problems in our school growing up. That's right. Well, I went to school in the late fifties and early Are all the way through the sixties. I graduated from high school in 1969.
So We had very few problems. And even at my high school graduation, we had prayer, and we also had scripture reading. For the graduation, I remember that. You know, Carol, it was almost as if it was all baked into the cake, right? It was just a presumption that, you know what, we are a Christian nation and it's important for the children to understand the teachings, the precepts that made this country great.
Yes, d I agree. Carol, well, thank you for listening and thanks for weighing in on that. And we certainly appreciate you listening to Patriot Talk 920 as well. 901-260-5926 is our number. That's 901-260-5926.
We do have the video posted, and you can see it for yourself. It really is something else. And I know the left, they really thought that this was going to be some sort of a gaudy thing. It is absolutely patriotic and beautiful. And I hope that you go over to our website and go and check out this incredible video of the flag being raised.
Giant flags, by the way. I mean, these look like camping world-style flags. By the way, CNN has some new polling data out. Turns out an overwhelming majority of both Republicans and Democrats say Iran cannot have nuclear weapons. Cut number four.
And overall, I feel like there's more support for Donald Trump's positions than is comically acknowledged. Oppose Iran getting a nuclear weapon. I mean, look at this: 79% of adults agree on that. They agree with Donald Trump. Iran cannot get a nuclear weapon.
83% of Republicans, 79% of Independents, 79% of Democrats. When you've got 79% of Democrats and 83% of Republicans agreeing on anything, you know that that position is the very clear majority in this country. And so the American public is with Donald Trump. They definitely oppose Iran getting nuclear weapons. There you go.
So again, the isolationist, if that's what you want to call them. But Tucker and that crew, they are in the minority here. But the question is, how does all of this play in MAGA world? And ladies and gentlemen, I'm curious: do you see this as a serious rift? forming in the in the MAGA movement.
Do you see this as possibly being a permanent break. with the President.
Now Again My philosophy has never changed and it never will change. I stand with the President. The man took a bullet to the head. For this nation. Therefore this man gets whatever he wants.
Period. If it works, man, that's fantastic. God bless America. If it does not work, Well, we live and learn. But whatever this President wants, the President ought to get.
And that's just the way I've seen things here. By the way, folks, I want to remind you, and as we are looking at chaos around the world, just another reminder that you need to be diversifying Your savings. Many people have all their savings and their 401k. That is a bad idea. I would encourage you to start now, and especially if you're young, start now looking at diversifying.
And by that, I mean you need to be putting gold and silver into your savings and retirement plans. And my friends over at Vault US Gold can help you do that. It's vaultusgold.com/slash Todd Starnes. That's vaultusgold.com/slash Todd Starnes. They're going to send you a free investor kit.
They're going to show you how to do it. All right. You can also call them 833-511-GOLD. That's 833-511-G-O-L-D. Vault US Gold.
Tell them Todd Starnes sent you over. We'll be right back, everybody. Well, that flag looks mighty good flying over. On the east, on the north and south lawns of the White House. Hello, everybody.
Welcome back. This is the Todd Stearns Radio Show. Great to have you with us. Let's go to the phone lines: 901-260-5926. Say hello to Billy, listening to us in Collierville, Tennessee, on KWAM.
Hi, Billy. What's going on? Oh, not much. I appreciate you having me on your show. Yes, sir.
What's on your mind, Billy?
Well, you know, this one guy, you mentioned Trump's putting that flag up. I'm pretty sure it's going to abide by FFAA. You know the air aircraft restriction.
Okay. So, you know, in Sarahville, Tennessee, I just came in from the back yard.
So in Terrellville, Tennessee, they're taking Capital World to court. And he's got a great big flagpole up. And they're wanting to take it down. He says, You can put me in prison, you can do whatever you want, fine me. All kinds of stuff.
I ain't picking it down. That's happening right here in the state of Tennessee. And another thing I want to address on your show. You don't have to go to Iran Like the president said, they want to do away with the regime. Everything.
You don't have to go to Iran. to see what's going on. It's happening right here. in western Tennessee. People's lives are being violated.
And I totally agree. Here's my feel. When you re when you remove God, Ten Commandments. You keep going down that route. Where are we going to end up at?
I'll tell you where we're going to end up at. We're one step away From Iran. One step. And if the President was listening right now, I tell them we need to start with the state of Tennessee. Because the state of Tennessee in the western part For sure.
has completely fallen off the cliff.
Well, now, Billy, you sort of carpet-bombed me here with a lot of topics, and I'm going to do my best to try to go through all of them and try to respond. First of all, as far as the flight issues there with the giant American flag, 100 foot tall, by the way, that's a pretty tall flagpole. State of the art, mind you, built of the highest quality around, according to the president. There is actually a no-fly zone over the White House.
So you're not allowed to, there's no aircraft, no aircraft are allowed anywhere around the White House unless it's Marine One.
So that's great news. We had Marcus Lamonis on. Marcus is the owner of Camping World. He's been a regular guest on this radio program as well as my Newsmax TV show. And you're right.
Marcus, by the way, is a Lebanese immigrant, came here from Lebanon the right way. He is a great patriot. And he loves this country, which is why he wants to fly great, big, beautiful flags over all of his camping world locations. And he has come under fire. In a number of small southern towns, which has been really weird, but he's come under fire because of the size of the flags.
And I d it this makes no sense to me because you would think southerners would love all glory, but clearly. Unfortunately, a lot of you Southern towns you're electing liberals. And this is what you get. Billy, appreciate the call. Grab some iced tea, my friend.
If you were just outside, it's a little warm out there today, so you want to grab some iced tea? Thank you for calling in. 901-260-5926, our telephone number. That's 901-266. two six zero five nine two six.
Wanna place um Audio here. And this is again, oh, let's see. Oh, here we go. This is President Trump weighing in on the new flagpoles that have just been erected on the White House lawn, cut number eight. The White House.
Open About 1800. A little before that, it's just a tad. And I've always said, why doesn't it have a flagpole? from the grass. They caught a flagpole from the grass.
They have a little one on top, a very little one. Uh this is uh About the largest you'll ever see. and it's tapered It's at a quality that you guys rarely get to even put up. They do that for a living. They're incredible people.
I don't know them, but I love them. And I would bet that they all voted for Trump. I mean, I don't know for a fact, but I think so. But we're about to lift it, and we also have one going on what's called the front or the north. We have one going there, identical.
So we'll have one on this side of the building, we'll have one on that side of the building properly placed. In this case, we had a lot of choices: putting it on that hill, putting it different places. It's such a beautiful pole. We thought we'd put it near. I mean, it always looks.
Uh best one is near a Dural, I put it right near. I have a a similar pole. And these are the best poles anywhere in the country, or in the world actually. The tapered Uh they have the Nice top. I don't know if you people are aesthetic.
You know, they're the fake news. I don't know about that. But it's a very exciting project to me. And then at 11 o'clock, we're lifting the flag. But we're going to lift the pole now, and then they're going to the other side, get that, and then we're going to do, I think, two flagliftings.
We'll be uh putting it up at eleven on here, and a couple of minutes later on the other side, we'll start here at eleven.
So that'll be very nice, very patriotic. The president is in such a great mood. You can tell that he's loving this. I mean, he is over, and he is a man who pays attention to the detail. He is a very detail-oriented person.
And if you've ever been in any of his buildings, you know that. Whenever I was in Washington, which was a lot, so much so that the front desk at the Trump International Hotel, which is now the Waldorf, they knew me by name and they knew exactly where I wanted to stay. And I am telling you, the attention to detail in that hotel was unlike anything I've ever seen. And one of the things I do like to do when I'm out traveling is I like to try to stay in a nice place, whether, and typically it's a Ritz-Carlton or a Waldorf. But I'm telling you that even beyond that, the level of service and attention to detail that the Trump hotels provide their guests, it's unbelievable.
It's off the charts. They make you feel like you're. A rock star. All right, let's go to the phone lines here: 901-260-5926 Tim in North Carolina. Hi, Tim.
What's going on? How are you, sir? Good afternoon. Great to talk to you again. Just a quick note on the one of the talk radios I listened to.
North Carolina is trying to pass legislation that Anybody can fly the American flag. of any size on their property. Is that right?
So tell me about this legislation. Has this been a big problem in North Carolina?
Well, it it was the it's pretty much spurred on by Camping World. and HOAs that don't allow people to put flags on their property.
Well, it's it's a sad thing that you folks in North Carolina have to have to debate whether or not you should be allowed to fly an American flag d if it's if it's considered to be too big. Oh, completely agree. And I I uh The gentleman has a camping world in uh Grainsville or Grainsboro. He can bring it down to Hollywoods North Carolina Industrial Park and And we will be happy to uh have his flag.
Well, I have no doubt about that. I mean, you guys are a patriotic bunch over there in your neck of the woods. I will say that.
So my understanding is that language is being added that will limit the ability of, say, a city council to regulate the display of old glory on private property. Correct.
So here's the thing. And Tim, this is just me. I mean, if you're moving into a house, into a community and you've got an HOA, I would be very wary of moving in anywhere that had rules governing the display of the American flag. That tells me your neighbors are probably going to be liberals. Oh, completely agree.
And most most HLAs are are nothing but issues anyhow. Not all, but most. They're like little communist groups, right? I just if you want to sorry, I don't mean offend, but it's true. It's like your grass is too high by a quarter inch.
It's like, whoa, okay, geezaloo. Might want to smoke some of that grass. Calm you down. All right, Tim, thank you. Thank you for calling in, and thanks for.
Thanks for alerting us there. It's really sad that, but sure enough, there is, it's called House Bill 926, and they're trying to protect all glory there in the great state of North Carolina. You know what the problem is with North Carolina? And I mean this, I love our North Carolinian listeners. You guys, you are so awesome.
The problem is you let too many liberals in, right? You had unfettered immigration into your state. All these refugees coming from other places, and unfortunately, They brought their politics. And I know you folks in North Carolina, y'all are some of the most hospitable people out there. But but that can be detrimental.
I mean, you guys welcome these people with open arms, and what did they do? They turned around and they shivved you with their leftist ideas. And now you're a purple state. We got to fix that. All right.
We also have to take a quick break as well. Our telephone number, 901-260-5926. That's 901-260-5926. Don't forget, Wichita listeners, tomorrow we're going to be doing a big book signing, a book event, a big, a big event. And I would love to see you at the Wichita Builders Association, the great radio affiliate there, KQAM, also the Republican Party, the Sedgwick County Republican Party, hosting our big gathering tomorrow night at 6:30.
And we would love to see you there. And tonight, we would love to see you on Newsmax, the Todd Stern show on TV. We have a massive lineup. As a matter of fact, yesterday during the show, we were doing a live hit with our guy in Tel Aviv when the missile started exploding, and it was just unbelievable live TV moment.
So you never know what's going to happen during our show. Newsmax. If you haven't heard the news, it went public on the New York Stock Exchange, and we are now the fourth highest-rated news channel just behind CNN. And we are growing quickly. Reuters says we're one of the top news brands in America, and that's because of millions of people just like you joining our news revolution.
40 million Americans now go to Newsmax for shows with Rob Schmidt, Greta Van Sustran, and Rob Finnerty. I want to encourage you in the break, download our free Newsmax app on your smartphone and start watching. President Trump loves Newsmax. You can get the free Newsmax app, and also you can check out Newsmax shares on the New York Stock Exchange. Go to newsmaxinvest.com for more information on that.
That's newsmaxinvest.com. All right, welcome back, everybody. I am not a You know, I'm not ignorant when it comes to music, but I have my specific styles, and I try to stay up to date on who the new groups are. But I've never heard of this particular group that I'm about to share with you. I would call them an obscure rock band.
And they have now banned all Christians and drum supporters from their concerts. The group is called the Red Jump Suit Apparatus. Dylan, you're the music guy. Have you ever heard of these guys? No, I have not.
They're apparently a thing. Are they Screamo? Because that's like the only thing I don't listen to. There is some.
Well, there is some Screamo involved, apparently. Right. But the guy the head singer, the lead singer, his name is Ronnie Winter. And they've been around since 2003.
So these are kind of like. old guys. They're middle-aged guys. They're in their forties. And the lead singer Ronnie Winter posted a video on social media.
And he said that all of you Christians. are no longer allowed to purchase tickets for his shows. And he said they would be providing you with a refund.
So if you're and here's the quote: if you're a Christian, you voted for Donald Trump, shame on you. Isn't he late to the party on this? I'm sorry, this seems like he should have done this like, I don't know, last November, like November 7th. That would have been a good time to post a video like this.
So, I'm not sure what precipitated this video, but anyway, the guy is wearing. And I couldn't help but notice this, but the guy's wearing a black tank top. Yeah. And he's got toothpick-sized arms. It's really weird.
And I don't know if it's a medical condition or he doesn't work out, but it is what it is.
So the guy goes on to say: if you voted for Donald Trump, do not come to my shows ever.
So this guy's forty-two years old. And I kind of feel bad for him. And the guy claims to be a Christian, that's the thing.
So and it I was surprised there was no profanity in the um you know, normally the rockers, they get a little loose with the um colorful metaphors. But anyway, this guy goes on to say that when you come to their concerts, you're going to hear the actual words of Jesus. You're going to see a lot of acceptance from all areas of life and races.
Well, not all areas, sir. You just being the Christians.
So, anyway. They believe that acceptance and tolerance is accepting everybody except the Christians and the Conservatives, which doesn't sound very tolerant to me. Again, I'm not a music aficionado, but that just does not sound very tolerant. Kind. Anyway, the red jumpsuit apparatus.
I did a little bit of research on these guys, they've been touring. Since two thousand three, Mm-hmm. And Folks, I've never heard of. I've never heard of them. I feel bad because I think, should I know who these people are?
But can I just say something? At some point. You know what, I'm probably going to do this gig for another 20 years or so. There's going to be a point where you realize, you know what, it's time to retire. It's time to call it a day.
It's time to go and do something else. And I plan on doing this for as long as humanly possible, but when the team says, Todd, it's time to call it a day, it's time to retire. You know, you've had your best days, then I will say, okay, it's been great. And I say that because somebody should tell these guys. Valas.
Might be time to get the resume. Dust it off. Maybe. Head on over to the Walmart. You know, see what's available.
But I mean, I'm I I watch them and I went on their website and it's really weird because they've clearly used AI and to touch up their faces because in real life they don't look anything like their pictures. I'm just saying. But how sad is it that you got a bunch of washed up Middle-aged rockers and And their only claim to fame up till this point is like over 20 years they've been doing this. Their only claim to fame is playing Tuesday nights at the Best Western in Kalamazoo. I mean, that's kind of sad, right?
They do have a lot of Facebook fans though. I bet they're bots. Gotta be bots. And now here they are trying to find relevance, I guess. And that's really what this is all about.
They're trying they don't nobody's going to their concerts, so they're trying to stir stuff up. And they're thinking, okay, if we attack Donald Trump and his supporters, then the liberals are going to love us and they're going to come out to our Screamo concerts. I'm just going to go on a limb. I think by the end of the week, they're not going to be able to land a gig down at the Chuck E. Cheese.
I'm just telling you. I. I don't think that's going to be possible.
So there you go. Mm. We've got that story up at ToddSterns.com. I would encourage you to go look at it because I'm telling you, they have done something. They are heavily made up.
They have more makeup than I have on when I'm on Newsmax TV. All right, ladies and gentlemen, again, we are celebrating book launch week here on the Todd Stearns Radio Show. We want you to go right away during the break and get yourself a copy of my brand new book. It's called Star Spangled Blessings. You can get it in hardcover, audio, or you can get it in Kindle.

They're pretty quick at getting those books out. And if you're an Amazon Prime member, I think they throw in the shipping for free.
So be sure to do that during the break. Coming up, we're going to be talking to Kelly Shackleford from First Liberty Institute. He is a member of President Trump's Religious Liberty Commission. Yeah. We're also going to check out the very latest coming out of Israel and Iran as well.
You're going to want to stick around, everybody. Again, our telephone number: 901-260-5926. This is the Todd Stern Show. Live from the Liberty University Studio in Memphis, Tennessee, it's America's conservative blowtorch. Say.
That's right. I love this American ride. Touch starts. Hello, everybody. Welcome to our three of the big show.
Great to have you with us today, wherever you might be. You caught me multitasking. I was texting with my good friend Anna Jacobs over at WTUN and trying to catch up on a text to Wyatt Cox over at the Nevada Talk Network. And I lost track of the time. You radio people, stop texting me.
You know, I've got a show to do right now. We can chat afterwards. I'm just kidding. Wow, good to have you with us. And folks, head over to the website, by the way.
We had the video up now at toddstearns.com of that incredible flag raising that just took place over at the White House. You're going to love that. It's at toddstearns.com. I want to go to the phone lines. It's been a while since we've talked to our good friend from Memphis, Tennessee, the Black Conservative.
Black Conservative, I hope you've been doing good. I was worried about you. I am the most erudite mind, brilliant thinker And political philosopher, I have been doing great. Especially since President Trump was elected. Uh back to office.
Um And I hope all of you all are doing great. I listen to your show every week. I listen. I may not call in, but I've been listening. No, no.
I'm glad you do. May I say something though? The lovely Miss Cassie, who answers the phones, she was telling me, she goes, I think Black Conservative is driving in Memphis because you can hear him hitting the potholes.
Well, I just crossed the state line, so I'm in South Haven now. Oh, you're good now. Mississippi takes care of their roads. Absolutely. But good deal.
I I just and and I appreciate you taking my call. Sure. I just want to say I'm I'm in strongly in support about the President positioned at Iran. Should not be allowed to have nuclear uh weapons. That's a ma that that country they have a madman over there, you know.
Uh Let's not forget about the If Palestina the Palestine manifesto, Hamas manifesto. That's though they want to Uh Uh eliminate or exterminate Israel from the face of the earth. They don't want if you look at that manifesto back in nineteen ninety eight, They don't want any solution to peace. They don't want anything. They want to wipe.
They want to wipe Israel off the face of the earth because they think that land over there. Is there a land which it it which it is not? It is never given to them. That land was given to Abraham's seed. If you go back and read Genesis chapter 3.
Chapter 26. They don't have no land. They don't own no land. That land belongs to Israel, the Jewish people. Uh yeah.
Um And I'd be one thing you said. If, if, if Yeah, the president Took a bullet to the head for his country. I agree with you. He can do anything he wants for the betterment of this country. And if we know President Trump, he's not going to showcase, he's not going to tell the corrupt news media.
Whether or not he's going to strike, you know, the military is going to get involved or not, because you know what they're going to do? They're going to politicize it. They're going to mess it up. And uh And if anything bad happened, a mishap happened, Uh, they're going to demonize and blame America.
So, President Trump is not going to telegraph what he's going to do, and the media knows that. And they just they just, you know. Hey, black conservative, hold on. To that point, while the President was out there and they were getting ready to raise the big, beautiful flag, a reporter actually asked that question. Let's take a listen to cut three.
Have you been to answer questions about whether you are moving closer, or you believe the U.S. is moving closer, to striking Iranian nuclear facilities? Where's your mindset on that? Can't say that, right? You don't seriously think I'm going to answer that question.
Will you strike the Iranian nuclear component? And what time exactly, sir? Sir, would you strike it? Would you please inform us so we can be there and watch? I mean, you don't know that I'm going to even do it.
You don't know. I may do it. I may not do it. I mean, nobody knows what I'm going to do. I can tell you this, that Our ran's got a lot of trouble.
And they want to negotiate. And I said, why didn't you negotiate with me before? All this death and destruction. Why didn't you negotiate? I said to the people, why didn't you negotiate with me two weeks ago?
You could have done fine. You would have had a country. They should have negotiated, black conservatives. Absolutely. You know, the media, they're not really first of all, they th they the fake news media, CNN, They don't love America.
They're not concerned. They're only concerned in advancing their radical leftist agenda. When Barack Obama What's secrety about Secreted about uh Uh taking out bin Laden No one asked him any questions about that prior to that. Um We just learned the next day when he came out, he told us, Hey, look. Bin Laden being captured, been cured.
You know, so. I stand with the President 100%. They can have all these fake No king, radical press protest, all they want to. These people are out of touch with the American people, with mainstream America. And uh so um yeah, um I'm with the President 100%.
He's willing to take a bullet for his country. He can implement. any policies He chose to do so. That's in line with the Constitution.
So that's where I stand on that. Yeah, good stuff. All right, my conservative, it's always good hearing from you, my friends. But absolutely, I may show up one day over there In that state in that studio where you're at, and bring you a Trump phone 47 in August. I have to figure out where I'm going to get the money at because I don't think they're raising tariffs on it.
No, I don't think they are. If they don't raise tariffs on it, I bring you and your collar one over there. They were $47 a month. You can afford that. Yeah, that's a pretty good deal, Flag Conservative.
All right, my friend. God bless. Be safe out there. Keep America great. All right.
Watch out for those potholes, too. And those are rough. Wow. What a great guy. I don't.
I don't think we've actually met. You know, he hasn't revealed his true identity.
So, this is sort of like his secret identity. Black conservative. What a great guy. Okay, 901-260-5926 is our number. That's 901-260-5926.
So there is a crazy story out of Memphis, Tennessee. There's always crazy here.
So, a couple of days ago, remember the Minnesota story where you've got the guy, that lunatic. And by the way, there's a lot more to this Minnesota story. that meets the eye. All right, so this guy shows up dressed as law enforcement, assassinates a state lawmaker, kills the poor woman's husband. They're dead.
He goes to another home and shoots another lawmaker and that guy's wife. They survived.
Well, while all that was happening, In Memphis, Tennessee. A man was arrested for trespassing, stalking, And other criminal charges after he approached the mayor's home in Memphis, Tennessee. You say, well, why is that a big deal?
Well, the mayor lives in a gated community. And a lot of people may not have realized that because crime is so bad here. The mayor, even though the mayor says we live in a crime-free city, the mayor lives in a gated community that's guarded.
So anyway, we now know that the guy wasn't just like wandering around the mayor's front lawn. According to the Daily Memphian and they're reporting on this, the Daily Memphian reports That the man was Um the man was walking around with a taser, gloves, rope, and duct tape. And there is more to this than meets the eye. They have determined that the individual was not just, he didn't just scale the wall. But that he was intentionally targeting the mayor's residence.
So he wasn't, you know, the original reporting was this was some sort of a burglar that jumped the gate or jumped the wall and was looking for a house to burglarize. It now appears, according to the reporting of the Daily Memphian and a report from the Memphis Police Department. That this guy showed up. To Kidnap. The mayor of Memphis, Tennessee.
This is insane. By the way. And I just want this is just how the Daily Memphian goes. Their headline was Mayor alle or man allegedly went to Mayor's home with rope.
So I immediately Googled the suspect's name to see what color they it's a it's a black dude. All right, so it's not because in Memphis everything has to do with race.
So, anyway, it was a rope, taser, and duct tape, and a black suspect. And you got to get that out there, otherwise, people go nuts, and we don't want people to go nuts. Folks, I'm telling you, you got to be safe. And this is all on the Democrats. The Democrats have made it very dangerous.
Very dangerous to be in politics. Their rhetoric is off the charts. There's a report out earlier this morning I saw. Are you ready for this? Attacks and threats against ICE agents up over four hundred percent.
And you know why? Because you've got elected leaders like the governor of Minnesota, and you've got the mayoral candidates of New York City calling ICE agents the Gestapo. And you're surprised when they're targeted for violence? Unbelievable. All right, we got to take a break here, folks.
901-260-5926, our telephone number. That's 901-260-5926. By the way, it is book launch week here on the Todd Starns Radio Show. Head over right now, get yourself a signed copy or two or three of my brand new book. It's called Star-Spangled Blessings: Devotions for Patriots.
All right, let's get right to our phone lines here on the Todd Stearns Radio Show. Say hello to Gary in Daytona Beach, Florida. Hi, Gary. What's on your mind today?
Well, over the past eight or ten days, but it's really been going on much longer since. the tragedies tragedies in Minnesota. and the no kings rallies and then the uh uh the enforcement of on the illegal im immigration. uh everybody's been preaching uh that the hatred and the and the right. Is terrible, and it's the political hatred, and we everybody has to tone it down.
And I found that funny when Uh during all those rallies, most of them. the especially the ones in California, they have children in a park beating a Donald Trump tiny Until it breaks in half. and the goodies fall out. And they have severed heads, of course. They had a lady holding up the stuffed severed heads that looked like Donald Trump.
And they had stress tense where you could take a Trump bow. And punch it and beat it. You know, and these uh uh it's it's amazing that I would love to see the networks that we're carrying that uh and uh that everybody's uh preaching uh violence uh you know from the Trump side And show children beating a Trump doll with sticks. The parents brought them to the park so they could. do that.
So I I find that pretty rich. Gary, have you seen any kind of that vitriol in the Daytona Beach area? Absolutely none. Matter of fact, we have they took a lot of the sheriffs, took a lot of heat and then Governor DeSantis backed them up when he and they and the Attorney General in Florida came out and said We're not shutting down roads. You can protest, but we're not shutting down roads And do not attempt to beat on people's cars and stop them.
Because they will run over you and we will not prosecute them. If they're fearing for their life and you're holding on to their mirrors and riding on their hood, you're going to get run over. And they also the the police have also said that If the riots uh if the protests get violent. Unfortunately, your closest relatives will have to be notified of your death. And so they go, we're not going to let you throw rocks and bottles and all tough.
So it's really it was gratifying to see that. There's the typical I mean, there's the people that That comes to Walmart, you know, and Trump's the dictator. And the sign. That that's but uh no, it's really It really shows how it can be if you have. And it's not that they're suppressing people.
They're warning people that what they see on TV Cannot happen. There's no storage, there's zero storage looted. I mean, in Belusia County and different counties Uh it's just not happening. All right. Well, Gary, I appreciate that call and thank you for that update.
Yeah, I'm telling you. You guys have great law enforcement down there in Florida, and they're not going to put up with us. All right, time now for some crime news across America. Keeping you updated on crimes sweeping across the fruited plain. I ain't got a no pump call to pop.
Yeah. This is the Starnes A B Lady Lake, Florida. Oh, we're starting with the Florida man. That's right, a Sam's Club outlet had to destroy more than $10,000 worth of spam and viena sausages. Why, you may ask?
Well, it turns out a 70-year-old man urinated. on two pallets of canned meat. Cops. God. Copps said that a witness spotted Patrick Mitchell relieving himself in aisle eighteen at Sam's Club.
And that's in Lady Lake, an Orlando area community. The witness used her cell phone to take. Pictures of the d of the defendant reported the incident to store employees. Oh my. Good luck there with the vina sausages.
Do people still eat vina sausages? I don't know. All right, next story. This is from Texas, where a man showed up to court wearing a t-shirt that said world's best farter. Not father, farter.
Jefferson County Judge Raquel West was less than pleased with Sammy Morris's fashion choice appearing in the two hundred and fifty second District Court. He's facing felony charges. She said, What made you think that was a good shirt to wear to court this morning? He mumbled that he thought he thought the shirt said best father, but in fact it said world's best farter. He said it was the only clean shirt he could find.
Well, I'm glad to know the fart shirt was clean. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Wow. So anyway, the poor guy was reprimanded for not dressing appropriately. If I was the judge, I would have made sure that was one of those video hearings.
Be as far away as humanly possible. All right, next story. This coming from Walmart. A Walmart employee claims a customer called the police. after a customer accidentally overcharged himself in the self-checkout line.
What? The customer overcharged himself for avocados at the self-checkout kiosk and then accused the store of robbing him. Oh, this happened to me yesterday at Kroger. You know, they've got the new self-checkout things that have the super long conveyor belts.
Well, it made me overcharge three items. Had to wait for somebody to come over. My sympathize there. I don't. Anyway, good luck to you.
At least he's being honest about it, though. All right. Next story. Samuel Lee Thomas, aged seventy two. This is terrible.
Called 911 16,000 times. This is according to the smoking gun. I guess maybe he was lonely. Again, a Florida man. There's a lot of weird stuff going on in Florida.
I'm just going to tell you. Police responded to a 911 call claiming that someone was shooting an AR-15 in the roadway. But it turns out officers, when they arrived, discovered a family barbecue with small children. 16,000 times. The guy called the cops.
Wow. All right. Popo, not too happy there in Florida with all that nonsense. I'll tell you that right now. All right, got to take a break here, ladies and gentlemen.
901-260-5926, our telephone number. That's 901-260-5926. This is the Touchstarn Show. All right, welcome back, everybody. This is the Todd Stearns Radio Show.
Tomorrow, we will be broadcasting from Wichita, Kansas, getting ready for our big event with Wichita Republicans on tomorrow night. Would love for you to be a part of that with our great affiliate, KQAM. On Friday, I will be speaking at the Kansas Republican Party in Kansas City, their big meeting, and then keynoting at the National Right to Life Conference, that happening in Kansas City.
Next week, we'll be speaking at the Road to the Majority Conference in Washington, D.C.
So, we've got a busy couple of weeks ahead of us as we get out and meet all of our great listeners and great conservatives around the nation.
Well, just a few days ago, Ago in Washington at the Museum of the Bible. There was a very important gathering. Dr. Ben Carson joined me on my Newsmax TV show, vice chair of President Trump's Religious Liberty Commission. I can't think of a better person to put on that commission than our next guest, Kelly Shackelford, on the Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line.
And Kelly, good to have you back with us. It's been a while, my friend. It has, Todd. We've filed a whole lot of more lawsuits since I talked to you last time. It's hard to keep up.
It's hard to keep up, Kelly.
Well, look, first of all, congratulations. And I want you to take us back to that moment when you were invited to become a part of this important commission.
Well, that was a great honor, obviously. I mean, number one, I don't be People probably don't realize this, but there's never been a presidential commission. on religious liberty for the United States. The I mean, we've had international religious liberty activity to stop Horrible things going on in other countries, but we've never looked at how we could improve religious freedom in the United States. That was a great thing that President Trump did that.
And certainly To be one of the people on that committee is really an honor. I mean, to serve the American people. I don't know if you know or if Dr. Carson told you, but. Our duty under the law is really simple.
it is to report directly to the President our advice and our recommendations. on how to not only preserve but advance religious freedom in the future And that's my goal, is to do something here at the end, to give some recommendations. that not only will last through his presidential term, But that will last permanently. And there's so many huge issues that we've got a lot of hearings to run and and then some real thinking to do to come up with some great specific things to To give to the President. What would you say are one of the maybe the top one or two things that you guys really want to see get done?
Gosh, it's I don't think we can limit it to that. I mean, you think we we just had a hearing on the basics and And you know, just we had professors and people. People could go back and see this, by the way. It was recorded by the Department of Justice. uh li it was live and and it's online But it was laid out a number of things and what's happening to people across the country, and then we're going to go into these.
hearing by hearing.
So for instance, parental rights, I mean, this is a huge religious freedom issue that has to be taken care of. I mean, the things that parents are going through with their kids at school. having them transition without them being told. Um, you know, we just won a case just here. about three or four weeks ago, Todd, where In the school they were requiring all the fifth graders to read a book to their kindergarten buddies telling the kindergarten buddies to question their gender.
And number one, there was no notice to the parents. In fact, The the teacher training material told them not to tell the parents. And then when two of the kids came home, two of the young boys, and to their different families and said, I'm really uncomfortable with doing this to my kindergarten buddy. This violates my faith. The the parents went to the school, they said, Number one, you should be notifying parents about something like this.
But number two, our kids, we're not going to have kids forced to do things that violate their faith, so we need an exemption. The school said you have no right to notice. and there are no exemptions. And we had to go into court and this tell you how how crazy this is, Todd. We were in California in federal district court, so we had a liberal judge The judge ruled in our favor saying no, under the law, Parents do have a right to notice.
And these kids do have a right to an exemption. the school district, to show how radical they are, has appealed now. But this is the kind of thing that's going on.
So parental rights definitely. one, in addition to so many others like healthcare and forcing people to take vaccines against their faith and so many other issues that we're going to cover in these hearings. You know, a lot of people thought, well, Trump got elected. That means everything's back to normal when it comes to religious liberty. But really, the fight just keeps going on, doesn't it?
It does, and part of what we want to do is we no matter who's in office. We want protection for people. I mean, you know, Trump had to pardon twenty three people who were in jail for praying outside of abortion claims. because of the past this last administration. You know, the Catholic Church.
Was actually, you know, the FBI was going in and doing an investigation to the Catholic Church. I mean, we had all kinds of things going on that I think most Americans would go, what? And we have to make sure these kind of things don't happen again. And also to correct some of the things that are going on. You know, People talk about like we've had some good victories at the Supreme Court.
Just at First Liberty alone, I mean, we've had Nine victories in the last six years. And so people will look at these Supreme Court cases and they'll say: hey, religious freedom's winning. They won like twelve cases in the last ten years.
Well That doesn't count the thousands and thousands and thousands that never make the Supreme Court. And what happens to those people? I mean, I think of one of the examples I gave in the hearing, the first hearing, was our clients, Aaron and Melissa Klein, which I know you remember from way back. That's 13 years. That they are still in litigation where they were persecuted because they would not bake a gay wedding cake.
And they their business was bankrupted. their the death threats against their children. They've had them move to Montana. We've been up to the Supreme Court twice. They've had to vacate the hostile decision from Oregon below, and we're still not through.
So, this is what people go through, and nobody should have to go through this in the United States. And so, we need some.
Some good changes to make sure that people are protected from this type of persecution. You know, it's interesting. To that point, Kelly, there was a report out from Senator Chuck Grassley, who is chairman of the Judiciary Committee. And originally, when the FBI Biden's FBI targeted the Catholic Church and they literally tried to convince priests to spy on their parishioners, and they said, well, it was just a tiny, it was just tiny, it was just limited to the Richmond office.
Well, now we understand more than 1,000 FBI workers nationwide got this memorandum that linked traditional Catholicism to violent extremism. Yes. And to follow up on what you're saying, the state of Washington just passed a law. that criminalizes Priest. who won't violate The confession.
So if somebody is confessing their sins, And there's a crunch and they literally Made it a crime against the priest. We had to file a lawsuit. We're one of the attorneys representing the Catholic diocese out there. To say this violates Free exercise of religion. I mean, this goes back.
you know, forever before our country was even formed and certainly in all the cases But it shows you how hostile People are, and one, they don't respect religious liberty. They don't expect what our country was built upon. And if they have their way, they will persecute church. Churches. Synagogues, and of course, that we're going to have a lot on the sent on what's happening to people.
the Jewish faith. I mean, we have synagogue cases at First Liberty all over the country alone.
So there's so much going on that we can do something about. And that the American people, boy, we're to we're together in general on religious liberty. I mean, that's why this country was formed. But we can't allow people to persecute people and put them through what they're put through. We need protections that are solid That protects people from having to go through what so many have been going through.
I mean, I just think about COVID. and all the people that lost their jobs. Because as people of faith, they they their conscience would not let them take a vaccine. The Holy Spirit convicted them, or they had a belief about how that vaccine was formed, or there was a fetal cell type thing regarding abortion. I mean, you see it across different religions.
It's not a matter of whether we agree with people's religious beliefs. But to tell people they have to do something against their faith. when it's unnecessary and then to ruin their careers. I mean, there's just so much of this going on that I think We need to realize, and this is a great opportunity. You know, I mean, my job as one of the commissioners is to.
Is to help give good recommendations by July 4th of next year, our 250th anniversary.
so that the President can have DOJ or whoever else take action to do some things that are permanent, protect people's religious freedom in this country, no matter who's the president at the time these things happen in the future. On the Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line, Kelly Shackelford is the founder of First Liberty Institute, one of the nation's top religious liberty law firms. Kelly is now serving as a commissioner on the President's Religious Liberty Commission. You know, Kelly, when you look at this White House and President Trump, you know, I think it's interesting. He's not a guy that's a deacon or a Sunday school teacher, but he certainly understands the importance of faith to the American culture and really to who we are as a people.
Well, you know, what you say is true. I mean, it's kind of surprising. You see this kind of brash. guy from New York that some people certainly don't like, his style and and and uh what he does in certain cases. But you know what?
I think actions are louder than words. And he's done something that no President's done. I mean, not only the Commission, He put the faith based office in the White House. That has never been done. I mean, that is very valuable, limited space in the White House.
He has the faith based office there. And the specific reason that was done It is to make clear that God is the center of everything that's going to happen. Under his administration.
Now again, you might not feel like he's always following Exactly, you know, you know, what Jesus would necessarily want him to do or want him to say. But these actions are really significant. I think these kinds of symbolic things are really important for our country. Whether we acknowledge God or we don't, I think is important. This country was built.
On that acknowledgement, and really by people of faith who wanted to have religious freedom in this country. I think we're going to see if we can have more religious freedom come back, as we're starting to see from some of these wins. I think our communities are going to be more like what We used to be. Not this sort of naked public square where religion is not allowed, but instead where Hanukkah is celebrated by Jewish Americans. And you see Nativity scenes for Christmas.
We actually have those values that really undergird our country. And I think we're moving in that way for the first time in a long time.
somewhat through these big wins we've had at the Supreme Court recently, but we're just at the beginning, and we have some great opportunities right now to establish things Really, for our kids and our grandkids, as far as the future of the country goes. Good stuff. Kelly, we're going to have to leave it there. Don't be a stranger. Congratulations, and good to have you on the show.
Well, thank you, Todd. And if people want any information on any of this, they can go to First Liberty, dispel it out, firstliberty.org. And we have an email that comes out every Friday they can sign out up for that's free and keep them in the loop on what's really going on with all these battles. All right, good stuff there. Kelly Shackleford, everybody, from First Liberty Institute.
Great. Look, if you guys ever get in trouble on the religious liberty side, that needs to be your first phone call. I'm just going to tell you right now. You know, I've got to tell you again, when we look at what the liberals have been doing to so many of our institutions, it's so important that we create an underground economy. And that's really what we're doing with a lot of the businesses that are partners on this program that make this program possible.
And I want to encourage you to support these organizations. And I want to tell you about Old Glory Bank. It is not just any sort of a bank. It is literally a bank built for people who love this great country and refuse to be silenced. Founded by Dr.
Ben Carson, Larry Elder, and our good friend John Rich. When you put your money in Old Glory Bank, you're supporting. An institution that believes in the values that made America great: freedom of speech, the right to bear arms, good old-fashioned American grit.
Now, I know you work hard for your money, and you want to trust that your bank has your back and won't cave to cancel culture or political agendas.
So, if you're tired of banks that will not stand up for your values, it is time to switch to Old Glory Bank right now. I want you to go check them out. and see what you think. Old Glorybank. com slash starns.
That's oldglorybank. com slash starns. Make the change today. And remember, folks, you're going to be able to stand proud and free with Old Glory Bank. Yeah.
All right. 5 o'clock Eastern on Newsmax, the Todd Stern show. You can watch on Newsmax too, all of the OTT platforms. You can also watch on Facebook and YouTube. And we're going to have a great show for you coming up at 5 o'clock this evening.
I want to play some audio here. This is a guy running for mayor of New York City. He's an Islamist. His name is Zoran Mandani. And he lunged at Boarders are Tom Holman.
It was a really nasty scene in New York City. Take a listen. Do you believe in the? How many more you want to do? All right.
Yeah, that guy is a nutjob.
Now, it's interesting because he's calling on all the Muslims in New York City to unite to get him elected. And that would be an incredible nightmare. I mean, I think you would have a situation like you had this guy, 33 years old, and He is He's He's a pretty dangerous guy. I'm just going to leave it there. But he is.
Right now, of course, Andrew Cuovo is running for mayor as well. And the race is incredibly tight. That's the weird thing about all of this. But what I find fascinating about this guy Uh Ma'am Donnie. Is his name?
Is that he was born in Uganda? And when you look at, for example, Ilhan Omar, for example. I'm beginning to wonder. If we need to step back and we need to really reevaluate whether foreign-born citizens. should be allowed to run for public office.
This is insane. This guy is a radical leftist. And when you see the harm that's being done to our nation by people like this guy, and by, for example, Ilhan Omar. You do wonder Do we need to really do these people, and again, with Elhan Omar. Does she actually love America?
I mean, she ha- I think she hates us. I think she. loathes us and she loves the homeland, which is why she's always going back. She's surrounding herself. And at one point she actually said she stood with the people of Somalia.
And their flag All right, fine. This is from Jewish Insider Zoran Mamdani says, globalize the intifada. is an expression of Palestinian rights. No, it is not, sir. Globalizing the Intifada is a global war on the extermination of Jews.
Oh, by the way, tomorrow, we don't have time to do it today. Tomorrow, we're going to play some more of this interview that just released from Ted Cruz and Tucker Carlson. And Ted Cruz pointed out a very interesting thing that I actually brought up earlier in the show: is that, you know, why is it always the Jews that set everybody off? Why is Tucker not concerned about the Chinese or the Russians or the Japanese or the British?
So, this is what Ted Cruz was asking him, and Tucker blew up. It's ugly. I would encourage you to go and watch it. We're going to play some clips from it tomorrow on the show. All right, we've got to scoot out of here.
It has been a lot of fun. Got to get ready for the Nash for the Newsmax show. We will be back tomorrow, broadcasting live from Wichita, Kansas. Our terrific affiliate there, KQAM. If you're in the area, drop by and say hello.
We will see you tomorrow, folks. Get out there and you be good, America.
