There've been some great times but of course we all wish there'd been more of them. Live from the Rich Eisen Show studio in Los Angeles. Jump running, jump, touchdown, Nick jump. The Browns take the lead. Wilson he's gonna get sacked. Miles Garrett. I'm the guy.

I'm number one right now and I'm not going anywhere. Today's guests, senior writer for Sports Illustrated, Chris Mannix. Two-time Emmy-nominated actor Mark Harmon. And now it's Rich Eisen. That's right, hour number two of the Rich Eisen Show is on the air. Hour number one, we chopped up the Thursday night football snow globe game between the Steelers and the Browns and the Daniel Jones release at quarterback for the New York football Giants.

844-204-rich number to dial. It's a what's more likely Friday. Mark Harmon's gonna be in studio in hour number three. And you know I've said this before and I'll say it again. Anytime we have folks who like appearing on the show and I don't know when they're coming into town based on their business, I always say, hey let us know when you're coming into town. I don't take it for granted when there are people who say, hey I'm in town. I'm gonna be in town.

I can do the show on this day or that. You know and I always appreciate that. And this guy always does it. This time he did it, I believe with a bit of an agenda. I'm not gonna lie. From Sports Illustrated and his own, Chris Mannix here in studio. Let's give him a round of applause.

It's not because we're trying to head anything off at the pass. No, never. But Chris, we here at the Rich Eisen Show have been very excited about Mike Tyson versus Jake Paul ever since hearing about it because we thought maybe Tyson could have a puncher's chance. And you doused all of those flames instantly. Tried to. Tried to.

You did? And now the fight has occurred. You would like to say something. Well it is, I'm just, I'm happy being here with the most gullible staff on television.

You guys are the collective embodiment of Lucy and Charlie Brown, right? Where it's like, you think the football is gonna be there and it gets pulled away. I tried to tell you the football was gonna get pulled away and that this was gonna play out the way that it did. But you didn't listen. And the reason I know I tried to tell you is cause every time I come on the show, what I say is often aggregated.

I'm always on awful announcing talking about Paul versus Tyson. So I went back and looked at some of the clips and quite literally everything I said turned out to be true. Now I get a lot of stuff wrong.

Believe me, I get that. But on this, everything that I said was gonna be true. I said it was gonna be the most watched thing in modern boxing history. And it was.

I don't know how to differentiate Netflix numbers versus linear TV numbers, but it was a massive number no matter what way you look at it. I said that the fight was gonna be goofy. I use that word.

Yes. Felt pretty goofy in the ring for eight rounds. Well, even beforehand when we saw a lot of Mike Tyson being interviewed and we saw as he walked away. That was interesting. Unclear to me, and I know some of the people that produced the show, but unclear to me if that was live or they just kept that in a pre-tape because I've done those interviews and oftentimes they're pre-taped.

Yes, yes, yes. So I don't know the truth of that. Finally, finally, I tried to tell you guys, I tried over and over again to tell you guys that 15 second Instagram clips do not equate to a actual fight. They don't.

Mike Tyson looked amazing on multiple Instagram clips, but getting in the ring against another guy that can punch back whatever you think of Jake Paul, he can punch back is an entirely different animal. It's like it's comparing apples to sheep. Like that's how different it actually is.

So there's nothing, nothing to do with the other. So I tried to warn you. I saw Darren Ravel tweeted out that 67% of the bets that were placed were on Mike Tyson. So 67% of you are out of your mind.

Out of your mind. You did, huh? I had to. I did a Tyson KO. Just what if?

Just in case. So you know when Mike could have pulled off a knockout? Okay. Was in the first 30, 35 seconds. That's when Instagram Mike came out, right?

Yeah. Like you saw him. He was chasing Jake across the ring.

Jake's footwork didn't look all that good. First 30, 45 seconds, there was that moment. The second Jake Paul survived the first 45 seconds, the fight is over.

You know what drives me even more crazy is that now we have pivoted to conspiracy theory time. Yeah. We've pivoted to like, here's an angle of Mike Tyson pulling back his right hand. That clearly means that there was a contractual agreement between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul, not to throw certain punches. I saw your friend, Michael Irvin, all over the airwaves talking about this contractual agreement that Mike Tyson could not throw an uppercut. Where is this agreement?

I have not seen heads or tails of any type of agreement. I've also seen a script, quote, making the rounds on social media, which looked like somebody printed it out on an MS Word document and ran it out there. And also the script that's out there does not, it doesn't line up to what actually happened in the fight.

So this is all kind of bonkers. The reality is, to get serious, that if it turned out that Jake Paul and Mike Tyson rigged this fight, scripted it, whatever, both those guys would be in some trouble because this was a sanctioned boxing match. And Jake Paul fancies himself a quote unquote real boxer.

He says he wants to fight for a world title someday. If it came out that a sanctioned boxing match was scripted, he'd get banned for some period of time, maybe forever. You can't fix fights. Simple as that.

There's so many reasons why the fix wasn't in. This was just, to bring it full circle, exactly what I told you guys since May, when this was first announced, whenever it was first announced, that this is a 58-year-old grandfather in the ring against a 27-year-old that could punch. Full stop. Ladies and gentlemen, we have been told so. We've been scolded. Many times in the 10-plus year history of this show, but that may be the greatest I told you so in the history of the Rich Eisen Show.

Chris Maddux. That said, you were watching this fight from Saudi Arabia. What time of the day was this? About seven in the morning. Okay, seven in the morning.

So paint the word picture for me. Are you in a hotel room? I'm in a hotel room. I'm with my broadcast partner, Sergio Mora, Todd Grisham. We were in there. A couple of DAZN executives, eight or nine people watching. Okay, so these are seasoned veterans of the game.

Sergio, former champion. Yes. Very good.

Now that said, the Pauls come out in this stupid ass green car. Okay. All right.

It's going way too slow and in the air tonight is playing and everybody's realizing that they're trolling with the hangover and all of that business. Logan is spraying Jake's body spray. It's filled with product placement and you're thinking he's not taking this very seriously.

Okay. At least this is what I'm thinking sitting there. My 16 year old son who just knows of Jake Paul through videos and TMZ and all that sort of stuff. Even he's saying, dad, why is that car going so damn slow? Why can't he just get out and walk into the ring? And I say, you know, who's not coming out in a green car and who's going to walk to the ring. Guess who's going to do that. Mike Tyson. And sure enough, Mike Tyson comes out and the usual Mike Tyson strolls in there. Okay.

Bit of a stumble on the way out. But my, my, my kids are like, dad, he looks scary. I'm like, you have no idea.

Okay. You have no idea. He's strolling to the ring doing this. He gets in the ring that first 30 seconds at any point of any of this. Did you think for a split second, this can happen?

Chris Maddox. Yes or no? No.

He's damn it. I took one last shot here. Honestly, there was one split moment where you even thought, Oh, I was wrong about this. Not at all.

Not for a second on planet earth. Again, the first 30 seconds was Instagram, Mike. That's the guy you saw in those clips. And I landed 19 punches in the entire fight. Okay. 19 punches. I don't want to be dismissed. Mike Tyson is, I mean, the people like Jake Paul's a popular guy. People watch that for Mike Tyson. Mike Tyson is still the biggest star in boxing. You've got to be respectful of that.

And I am. But if you're asking me to objectively look at something and say a 58 year old who was last in the ring, sort of four years ago, looking against Roy Jones and in a sanctioned fight was in the ring 19 years ago, getting clobbered by a guy named Kevin McBride and quitting effectively on his stool. You're not going to convince me that that guy is going to win a fight against someone that is not a good boxer, but serviceable enough with a strong enough right hand that can keep you in.

Really, the only thing that was scripted is the wrong word, but the only thing that was suspect about this fight is that I firmly believe that from the fourth round on, if Jake Paul wanted to, he could have stopped Mike Tyson. Rosie Perez even said during the fight, why isn't he not? Why isn't he not? Because there's no upside to Jake Paul putting a 58 year old legend on the canvas.

Like there's no upside to that. He gets, he doesn't get credit for that. He gets admonished for that. This turned out to be, you know, you heard the crowd, they were booing from like the third round on. They knew what was happening.

All the energy that was in that building, you know, for the hour beforehand, it was like just deflating in a balloon right in front of you. So they knew what was going on, but it would have been so much worse, Rich, if he had thrown a right hand and put a 58 year old Mike Tyson on his butt. Why, just before, in the couple of minutes we have left here on this subject, why is he biting his gloves? Do we know this? I mean, he does have a biting fixation.

That is, if you look back, I mean, this is stuff that's out there. You watch his old fights, like every fight you watch, he does kind of chew on them a little bit. Maybe not as much as he did in that fight.

Okay. And so what is next for Jake Paul? Whatever Jake Paul wants. You know, you know, all these ex fighters and current fighters that call him a joke and mock him, like you can't then turn around and say, I'll beat you, Jake Paul.

I'll take you out. Like, if you're Andre Ward or Karl Froch or even my pal Sergio, you can't call him a disgrace to boxing and then say, I'll get in the ring with them. Like right now, Jake Paul at this moment has the heavyweight champion of the world in David Dubois and the undisputed light heavyweight champion of the world in Artur Beterbiev saying they'll fight him. Like, these are two of the biggest names in professional boxing saying that they will fight him.

So you can't have it both ways. You can't call him a disgrace and then say, hey, I'm going to get in the ring with them. People keep calling for Jake Paul to fight a, quote, real boxer. My question to that would be why?

Why would he? He made tens of millions of dollars in the money he made for the fight and undoubtedly more on sponsorship money after the fight, fighting a fight that I thought he couldn't lose. Why would he go into a fight against a recently retired fighter or a real champion out there and risk all that? He could fight this YouTuber named KSI who's out there in the UK.

You could do a sellout crowd at O2 Arena, maybe a big number at Wembley Stadium. You could fight a rematch against Tommy Fury, who is the younger brother of Tyson Fury. That would be a big event that wouldn't put him at much risk. Everybody keeps calling for Jake Paul to fight a real boxer. There's no reason for him to do that. If he does do that, if he goes out and fights some B-level cruiserweight, then he's nuts and his team is nuts.

And I know they're not. So you're going to keep seeing Jake in these types of fights against Tyson-esque opponents or the ex-MMA guys that he's been clobbering the last couple of years. So why does he keep talking about Canelo then?

Because it's the nice little carrot you dangle out there. And I'll tell you this, if Jake Paul keeps beating up on all these guys, Canelo will fight him at the end of his career. I'm sure of it. Canelo will say, you know what?

I'm 35, 36 years old, end of 2025, end of 2026. I don't want to fight these young killers anymore. Jake Paul's got a 14-1 record or whatever it is. He's got a brand. Sure, I'll fight Jake Paul at 195 pounds. I am as sure as I'm sitting here. Save this tape. He is going to fight Canelo Alvarez in the next two, two and a half years.

I believe that. Chris Maddox here on The Rich Eisen Show. So let's talk about Rocky's hometown in the NBA.

How about that for a little switch? How do you make a transition off that? That's a tough one. What is going on with the 2 and 12 Philadelphia 76ers, Chris Maddox? That's the old dodgeball line. It's not good, Cotton. It's not good down there. The biggest problem they're having is availability. I think that the combination of Paul George and Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey have played single-digit minutes together.

They haven't had any type of time on the floor together. That's the biggest problem. The ambiguousness around Joel Embiid's injury is also a problem. I think teammates are certainly getting frustrated by all of it. You saw the team meeting they had. Kyle Lowry was apparently very vocal about it. You saw what Shaq had to say on Turner.

I don't know if we were out of the country or you saw. Yeah, I saw the remark. But Shaq was here too.

And he basically is calling. Embiid, unless he changes his mindset, is never going to be a champion, is basically what he said. He's never been out of the second round. And he's had an MVP year. He's been an MVP player. Yeah, injuries have played a part in that.

And I get the strategy of wanting to scale him back and keep him in that 60-ish game per year range and not go for the awards season at 65-plus and all that. But look, a great example of the trouble the Sixers could be in is last year's Phoenix Suns, because they're kind of assembled the same way. You've got a big three in Phoenix, and Durant, Booker, and Bradley Beal. And you bring a bunch of guys in on short-term contracts around them. Durant, Booker, and Beal only played about 40 games together last year.

And they weren't able to develop the proper chemistry with each other, with their teammates. They get into the playoffs, and they get their butt kicked in that first round. I see a similar situation unfolding in Philadelphia. They need to get these guys on the floor. They need Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey. And they need that core group, Paul George, playing 50-plus games together. So really, Rich, we're kind of reaching, we're getting close to the point of no return for this team. Because if they don't, you know, we're at 15, 14 games in right now. If we don't get these guys on the floor for 50-plus games, there is no chance they can develop the type of chemistry you need to beat a Boston in the playoffs.

Well, the question is, is when do we get them? I mean, Maxey's out. Embiid is, you know, back. Paul George is out now. And Paul George is now out. So when does Nick Nurse get an opportunity to say to everybody, 2-and-12's the outlier.

Look what I can do with these three big guys. It's got to happen soon, or else, you know, I know the reporting out there is, you know, Daryl Morey's safe, Nick Nurse safe. And I get that.

I've heard the same things. But this team's got to show signs of life, or else something's got to give. And right now, they're not just losing.

They're getting hammered. That game against Miami was embarrassing at the start of the week. I've been kind of looking at their schedule, and there's a two-game swing that they play through Charlotte and they go through Detroit. If this team's not showing signs of life by then, by early December, I got to believe something's got to give there.

Like that to me are dates to watch if I'm looking at something substantial changing. So what is the other stories that you're spotlighting through the first, or trends through the first month plus of the NBA season? Impressed with the Lakers, honestly. You saw them last night, despite the loss.

I saw them last night. Spent most of my pregame talking to Lakers and Magic coaches about Jake Paul and Mike Tyson. Like that was my entire pregame.

We're just happy to hear this conversation. There was one Laker, I'll call him an official on this one. I call him Laker official, who I saved from making what would have been a really bad bet on Mike Tyson. He was all in on betting Mike Tyson.

I saved him before the fight by saying the same things I was saying to you. I'm impressed by how... I was a J.J. Reddick skeptic coming in. He was almost too polished, too choreographed with everything that was going on.

It's really tough to take over an NBA bench, but he's got this team playing the right way, especially offensively. He strikes me as demanding. You know what I mean? He's demanding. You could see when he talks that a lot of things get him agitated. I think he has a great way of then turning that agitation into terrific communication within the group, within the huddle. Again, I'm not obviously in any of these practices, but I'm also very impressed that he's not like players, coach, just like, let's all go hang out. He's holding people to account.

He is. One thing he said to this group from day one is we got to be organized. Everyone from the superstars to the 15th man have to know their role and they have to know what they're doing when they're in games. There was a feeling inside that Laker locker room that last year was, there wasn't a lot of that. There wasn't a lot of organization or not enough organization within that team. They focused on that. And when they are organized, which isn't every game, but when they are organized, they are really, really sharp offensively. That's number one.

Number two, Dalton connect. Dalton connect to me is further proof that team building isn't as complicated as some people make it out to me. It's hit on your draft picks or don't, right? Like when you hit on your draft picks, you tend to be really good. When you don't, you tend to not be really good. The Lakers connect what, 17th in the draft.

That was a risky, there was no guarantee there. He was a very good college player offensively, serious questions about what he would do defensively. Turns out the offensive positives far outweigh the defensive negatives. That kid is an NBA shooter. And if you can find an NBA shooter, they're incredibly valuable in this league. The flip side of that coin is like the Milwaukee Bucks who still have great stars, but they haven't drafted well over the last few years. They've missed on some picks over the last few years. Guys that would have helped this team, you know, compliment Giannis, Damian Lillard, and Chris Middleton whenever he comes back. So JJ Redick has worked out really well.

The Dalton Connect pick has been a savior for that team. And that's where you got to give Rob Palenka a ton of credit. This guy has rolled with a lot of punches over the years, like from the Magic Johnson era to the middle parts to now, questions about whether he deserved to stay in that job.

He has done a great job at keeping, you know, keeping focused and making sure and building this team the right way. Well, yeah. I mean, a lot of people in the organization watched a lot of Tennessee games though, right?

Chris? Apparently. Lebron did.

Sure, sure he did. Now, I take that gratuitous shot to turn the page to just Lebron in general, that yes, when you see stuff like, you know, hey, I watched a lot of Tennessee basketball games and you sit there and it's just like, yes, that's great, you know, but you're not the general manager of this team. And when he says stuff like that, it's kind of like, damn it, man, because I clearly root for this guy. That opens him up to all of those things that he's in control. Everything is done at his behest. And I'm sure that rubs him the wrong way, but comments like that only lend credence to the conversation that causes him to say, I'm getting off of social media, which by the way is a great thing.

I've done that by the way, for the last two weeks and it's changed my life. I kind of be honest with you. That's one big long windup to say he might be playing the best basketball of his entire career right now. And the fact that he's doing this at his advanced age and isn't sitting, he's playing back to backs.

And not only is he playing back to backs, he says, I have an intention to play every damn game this year. And he's, he's making his threes at a wild rate right now. His ability to see the floor is as great as it has ever been running the floor. Last night where he, and again, he is in a loss. Part of it was because he missed a free throw and so did others. He comes up with a huge offensive rebound to put them up one and then a big defensive rebound and a length of the floor toss to Anthony Davis to put them up three.

And that unfortunately for them wasn't enough. He's playing some of the best basketball he's ever played right now. He, he's making even some Lakers personnel that's been around for a long time, scratch their head and wonder how he's doing it. Like to be a month or so shy from your 40th birthday.

Unbelievable. And to be doing things athletically, just put aside the skill set, which continues to evolve. Like he's gone from being a, you know, suspect three point shooter. Maybe he's not a marksman now. He's getting closer to, to that side of the scale, but athletically, like he's making plays that people on the staff are kind of looking at going, I can't believe he just did that.

Like, I don't know, 25 year olds that can do that. And look, I do think, and it's been said before, it's worth repeating that having his son, part of the team has helped and it's given him an energy that has carried over into games, being around family, getting up, going through the workouts with his kid. You know, when you hit that stage of your career, like you always need some kind of turbo boost, need some kind of jet fuel to keep you going. Yeah. Brawny James, I believe, has been that propellant for LeBron James, which makes the decision to draft him, regardless of what Brawny does.

Genius. All the narrative around, should he be traveling? And so there's, well, who cares? Who cares?

Who gives a damn? Exactly. Like in five years, Brawny's going to want his own career. He's going to want to figure out his own thing.

I get that. But for right now, it's in the best interest of the Lakers to keep Brawny James close, to keep LeBron as engaged as he's been all season. And you use a 55th overall pick in the draft? If you just said we could choose somebody 55th overall that inspires LeBron, keeps him fresh, and you'd say, absolutely do it.

And then when you find out it's his son and you're like, well, I mean this, that, the other thing. Just to put a button on the Dalton Connect stuff, like LeBron, look, he does have power. He's had power in every organization that he's been to. Remember, he was the one, remember when Shabazz Napier was his pick for Miami? He was on social media calling for that.

He was a driving force in pushing the Russell Westbrook deal at the time, which didn't work out for the Lakers because of what they had to give up. So he's had some hits. If he says he loved Dalton Connect, we'll take him at his word, but he's also had some misses there too.

Like he's pushed them in the wrong direction as well. That's why it's important for a front office. Always take the input of your stars.

Every team and every sport takes the input of their stars, but ultimately choose who you like the best. It doesn't matter if he's playing the way that he's playing right now and making everyone around him better. I mean, I am sure. I mean, I'm not a tape head, but the number of three point shots that Connect is putting up in rhythm has a lot to do with LeBron finding him where he's finding him on the floor. I am sure of it.

And he might be open because LeBron is hitting damn near half his threes right now. So there is a halo effect from all of it. And the whole business of Bronny being a nepotism pick, getting a job due to nepotism, this is Los Angeles, California. It happens literally. It happened two seconds ago.

And it just happened again at the end of my phrase. It happened in Milwaukee for five years with Thanasis out there. Like it happens in sports. It happens more so. But do they not care about Bronny's development?

I mean, of course, they care. But it's not an insult to Brian to suggest there's probably a ceiling to that development, right? Like there's only so much you can do with the physical tools that you have. You're a 6'1 combo guard. Like you can count on a couple of fingers the number of guys in today's NBA that have made it playing at that level. What he's there for now is to keep LeBron completely engaged. And look, Dalton Connect, one of the reasons to draft him is you look historically, like guys that can shoot the basketball succeed wildly playing with LeBron James. Like how many millions of dollars did Kyle Korver make in the back of his career playing with LeBron James? Like if you can shoot the basketball, LeBron, who is a past first player by nature, is going to find you. I think Dalton Connect, as long as he can continue to grow defensively, that's probably my biggest concern because when you get up against Oklahoma City, I think they'll see Denver on Saturday. You get up against these teams, you got to be able to defend at a high level. He's not there yet, but he's so good offensively that he has earned these minutes in that rotation.

Certainly in May and June, which is when you know the Lakers want to play. Thanks for coming. Thanks. Thank you for letting us know you're in town, even though you came in with a grinded axe. I wouldn't have missed this opportunity to dunk on every single one of you. Well, like Dominique Wilkins, he made a terrific performance right here. No, you, TJ, I know you. I'm not taking this, man. I'm not taking this dunking on you and you guys. No, because I was with you the whole time. I'm like, this is a farce.

It's two thirds of a gullible. I was so excited. I mean, come on, he was wearing black DMX played. I'm talking about the back row. I'm done tomorrow. It's OK. It's OK. It's an appropriate thing.

That is a back row or the other row. Good to see you. OK. At S.I. Chris Mannix to follow Chris Mannix and everything that he does also on his own.

You standing with a photograph next to uh Sly and you know we all know you're what is the height difference between you and Sylvester Stallone? If we were doing a tale of the tape you're dolphin. I don't know but they put me on an apple box to make me look even taller.

No they didn't know such thing. Yeah like he wanted that. He wanted all the way up there. Yeah and actually the kid replaced my son now he's he's a bit taller than me so he's going to be a lot taller than Michael B so it's going to be like a rematch. Okay nice so what would you say with just a few inches? I don't know maybe four inches.

Okay Mike why don't you come over here would you mind seeing him because we've got um we've got our our uh our audio executive yeah come on over here let's see what the what would the uh the the height discrepancy be here for Mike Del Tufo and Dolph Lundgren? Let's see. Yeah what would you tell him? Just like this. I must break you. I'm scared. I'm out. I'm out. I'm just scared. Well hold on a minute let's just show the measure show no no no show the tail show show Mike Mike let's show let's show Mike's uh Mike's uh training regimen for the rumble in the gundo.

Oh yeah yeah yeah right. Tuesday. $20.

All seats are 20 bucks. We're splitting this. But he's been training. See he's walking around what do you think? He's he's focused. He's got the beef coming up to hit the beef. Well he's got the rocky fingerless gloves too. Oh yeah now this was a great video. Okay we got it all oh wow you give him a shot.

What do you think Dolph? Not bad. It's a good beginning.

A couple of years you'll be good. There's no end to it. That's good man.

Rumble in the gundo. I completely forgot we done that. I mean that's six years ago. Good lord we've been doing this a while. Back on the Rich Eisen Show radio network sitting at the Rich Eisen Show desk furnished by Grainger with supplies and solutions for every industry Grainger has the right product for you.

Call clickranger.com or just stop by. Uh so much fun because Mark Harman arrived a little early so he and uh Mannix were just chopping it up about the Jake Paul Tyson find. Everybody saw it. Yeah and 100 million eyeballs, 60 million households.

Yeah Ghosts of Panama is uh Mark Harman's new book. He's gonna we're gonna move him up. He's gonna be the top of the next hour. Al and Dallas let's take your phone call. What's up Al? Oh I don't know Rich.

What's up? I mean it's been a six-year journey. You know these guys these contracts that they signed know that there are cars in the uh Danny euros of the world. I mean they know what they're getting into so you know they he got paid 80 million dollars and had this at the back end of the deal and the pressure was on him and he didn't perform. You saw it better than anyone. You know you've made the comments and most people made the comments about Kurt Warner uh saying that there were wide receivers open all over the place and and you know at the end of the day this guy's a higher paid Dave Brown for all you old-time giant fans remember that name and they from Duke same school yeah same school same deal he put took him in the supplemental draft as opposed back in the day when that was event round but this is the same stuff and uh you know I think it was the right move um I think they kind of embarrassed him a little bit and forced his hand when they made him the fourth strength so you know they kind of did that intentionally so he would have to get waived and he did and you know uh take care brush your hair you know I don't know what the I don't know what the heck they're going to do um it reminds me a lot of uh your old team what they had with uh Sam Darnold same situation high draft pick got paid a lot of dough this one got paid a lot more and it just didn't and you know uh he was awful you know there was no other way of putting it it was not he was not good it was not good so Al I just uh Mike Hoskins our coordinator producer just got in my ear we might as well put this up on the screen while you while you're on the phone apparently somebody hacked the Cowboys website I saw that button with the boy and put him on it is that is that what is that is this real I don't know but if you go to dallascowboys.com and the roster and scroll down to Brian Anger this is what comes up Daniel Jones Daniel Jones Daniel Jones headshot name number eight yeah I mean Jerry I mean the only the only uh the only two uh the only uh people having worse here than the Cowboys is Jets and the Giants I mean these organizations like they said like to say in the NHL really got to get their uh their acts together I mean they just really got to figure it out and I don't and I don't for the first time have an answer with the Giants I mean I don't want them to fire this I don't want them to do a complete rediff they're not gonna but Al they're not gonna they're not gonna they're not gonna Joe Shane stay in put and and and dable stay in put and the guy who who is um being held to account is Daniel Jones and you know what they're gonna regret you know what the Giants are gonna regret you know something that they always fought Richard and you work for the NFL basically you know getting on hard knocks hard knocks destroyed their credibility and they never wanted to go on the show and they said they'd only do it in the offseason and by golly to say that they should have did it in the regular season because it would have worked out better for them I'll hope that thanks for the call Al I appreciate it I hope not by the way because uh I don't want any other teams to be um scared away quite frankly the off season hard knocks was one of the best ones in years this is why we watch hard knocks this is why we want NFL films embedded this is why we want the show to be on the air is to be a fly on the wall of of decisions that that that that have uh ramifications and and that all of us sports fans are wondering what goes into it and I appreciate the Giants showing it off but yeah I mean bottom bottom bottom line is it just didn't work out for various reasons and one of them is Daniel Jones was just never consistent enough just never ever consistent enough but Giants fans are you know no longer will be able to um point to Daniel Jones and saying he's holding us back because he's now gone and the question is is where what do they do Giants are currently second I believe in the um draft order right now Jacksonville I believe is first uh Tankathon has Giants third Giants third so who's first second third uh Jacksonville Tennessee Tennessee Giants Raiders fourth well Jacksonville won't choose a quarterback the question is is who loves uh Chador uh enough to maybe make him first overall because I think he is going to be number one let me just say this as well I told this to Sue is just I don't know why this popped in my head but is everybody ready for the next six to seven months of Deion Sanders everybody ready for that in what way well Deion and the Colorado buffaloes and I know you guys talked about him landing a five-star quarterback recruit who decommitted from USC and is now going to be the next six to seven months of Deion Sanders decommitted from USC and is now going to be the next quarterback in Colorado and I imagine that's because Deion's not going anywhere that's kind of what we thought he said his kickstand is down is what he said earlier this week Julian Lewis we they get him Julian wouldn't go there without a promise right that he did stay at least in the year so imagine so um Deion's Colorado buffaloes have the destiny control right in front of them and um I know what Boise State supplanted BYU in a bi-week top-seeded spot right now and we'll see how it all plays out but if prime's Colorado buffaloes win their remaining games including the big 12 championship game do you know who's going to be on a bi-week I would profit to say it will be Colorado Deion Sanders Colorado buffaloes making the college football playoffs such a cool photo okay right okay Deion Sanders Colorado buffaloes making the college football playoffs and that big announcement will be followed up by in what I believe not just one but two of his players showing up in New York City at the Heisman Trust's party one of them I believe taking home the trophy so Deion will be front and center there then comes the lead up to the college football playoffs certainly if he gets a bi-week there'll be lots of conversation about that then once the college football playoffs finish up could you imagine if Colorado makes a run in that comes the east-west shrine game where I believe six Colorado buffaloes committed to playing in then comes the combine and all of that then comes the draft and I'll just say that I haven't spoken to prime in a bit and I do believe he might be appearing on this show shortly at least we're open we're we're circling around that. Efforting as you like to say. Yes as he by the way he's got a new to be show out as well yeah right so I do believe this if you think Deion Sanders is gonna be one of the coaches that shows up to the draft and sits in the green room behind the draft set wherever that may be in Green Bay Wisconsin I'll say it if you think he's just gonna be sitting there and his guys will be in the green room and he'll just sit back there if you think that that's one way to do it the other way to do it is I don't know have your own thing and in Boulder Colorado with all of your kids and all of your partners did you see that video and Deion recently appeared somewhere and he he took you know he put on his the hats that he's got and the drinks that he's got and what his um the shades that he's given us right too you got the old blenders the blenders I got some hold on mine are in the car do you think let me just ask you this question I shouldn't put words in his mouth or do you think he's going to do his own thing for his own kids his own people his own brands or you think he's just gonna forego all that and just show up to the draft I hadn't thought about it until this moment when you just said that now I'm like and by the way that's late April I just started mapping it out for you here in the middle of November that's what I mean get ready are you ready for the next six months of prime I'm ready because he's about to he's on the verge of about to dominate it which is something that I don't begrudge him for being on the program the Colorado program and all of that his own program uh to dominate after everybody's like yeah you're gonna be a flash in the pan yeah good luck you know putting your team together yeah you know you're gonna leave after your son goes and he lands the five-star de-commit to commit to him so you didn't answer that though are you under the belief that he is going to stay I am under no belief I'm not speaking to anybody on his team I am just knowing him just the way that I do yeah you have insider info without having insider info right I I have no inside information I'm just asking you what do you think T.J. Jefferson do you think he's going to show up and by the way it's to my benefit at NFL network for him to come oh yeah yeah for him to be there also that moment of I mean let's assume Travis goes number one the moment of getting drafted number one and walking out there having them that is something really special powerful maybe maybe so maybe he might split both where he'll do his own thing somewhere yeah in the area also I shouldn't put things in the ether speaking for him yeah uh and I'm I don't I don't but I'm just just the way that he does just the way that he does things is it is is it's got its own twist to it and that's why he's so damn successful in the world of NIL and transfer portal and all of that and to be able to back it up by making a run to the college football playoffs which they 100 are set up to do right now to be followed up by what's going on at the Heisman during the college football playoffs during the talent evaluation portion of the calendar during the combine and I hope he does go to the combine because I want him on the field part of the broadcast well I want I want Dion back on the NFL network combine broadcast in the worst way to recreate those moments when I once upon a time asked when there was a uh a sibling in the national football league was a sibling on the field yeah at corner and he has a sibling in the NFL receiver and asked has a brother ever covered a brother in the NFL and his response to this day has gone viral to this it always will more more so than that rich I hope if prime comes back great to the combine awesome I would rather see Mr. Leon sandcastle come back so he can run the 40 with you backwards that's what I'm looking for and by the way I'd love to see him in the east west run game because I believe that's on NFL network as well also looking at looking at the odds it's only going to be Travis at the Heisman you think so yeah Chador won't even get an invite now Chador's ninth in the odds right now he's like he's not getting invited but rich playing lights out man I can also see look his two guys are going to be gone early right Chris they could do the draft get the hugs from Goodell and then hop on the plane and go to the party Denver right there sorry I went under Dion Jeg we're going to do what's more likely an hour three when we come back I've got my top five list of the most intriguing tonight i think cup games are tonight yeah the floors are back i i can't get used to the floor yeah i'm with you it's just it's a little jarring also too much of one color now i wonder what it's like to play on that that's literally what i was thinking when you were saying does it take some time to get used to it hey you're looking for the boundaries did you see i don't know how it wouldn't look at the snow last night you don't know where the out of bounds lines are well did you see the play in uh in penn state purdue over the weekend we didn't talk about the guy was out of bounds yeah i caught the touchdown out of bounds because they painted the same color of the end zone the same color of the out of bounds behind the white stripe he saw that he was in front of the pylon and he's just like and you think you beat me huh it was embarrassing and funny at the same time right right it did look weird man like the pylons here then the pylons here and then there is yeah yeah they yeah yeah it wasn't his fault so the uh the uh the cavaliers going down leaves only one undefeated team in all of basketball right now and that's my fantasy basketball team in our league oh my god yeah five most intriguing matchups of week 12 presented by sleep number hit it hit it high five one two three four five richest top five all right everybody hit it please number five on the most intriguing matchups remaining of week number 12 presented by sleep number in my opinion number five we're back in the nfc west the most competitive division four teams separated by just one half game three five and five teams one six and four team um so they're separated by a full game pardon me cardinals at seahawks cardinals coming off their buy winning four in a row seahawks coming off that big win in san francisco or santa clara here we go let's see how gino follows it up his walk-off run come on in arizona and arizona as we already know has won in san francisco and they uh boat raced the rams earlier this year and here we go let's see what the cardinals can do against seattle they're playing each other two times in the next three weeks that's number five on the list number four on the list let's see how the 49ers follow up their loss at home they're in green bay this is just an outstanding match this kid kiddos this one has history niners packers packers just going way back over the last 30 years it's always fun when they play is brock pretty healthy enough to perform here don't know can they you know nick bosa is not gonna go i don't think and they're banged up and they're going to green bay and the packers going to eight and three would be significant sending the niners to five and six i've been very sunny disposition on the niners thinking that by this point they would get healthy and put a foot in the ground and start winning games and go on a run i'm genuinely concerned unless they come up with one that a lot of people aren't expecting from the defending nfc champs that's number four on this list number three on the list the vikings at the bears the bears have lost four in a row if you had told me when they were strolling off that field in tautnam hotspur that they were going to win a game for another month i'd have been like get out of here and last week you know with a change in offensive coordinator it was all set up for them to win and they had a block field goal and the vikings are as i said the higher register team like oh okay they're eight and two that five and oh start seems like a distant memory and you'd think that that means they're five and five again but they are eight and two and if they win this one they are nine and two and they're still sitting right behind the lines they're the ones closest to the lines than anybody else in this division that's number three and then the bears if they go to four and seven they don't make any they don't make a change do they i mean oh you mean immediately yeah oh man losing five in a row and you're going south maybe number two on this list sunday night football sofi stadium eagles rams let's go saquon in los angeles hurts in los angeles this team has won six in a row rams every single time they've gotten back to 500 they've dropped the next one or do they win this one against the one of the class teams of the nfc to put their card in the table and say we are going to win this division and we are going to be a force to be reckoned with just like we would go into the playoffs last year can't wait that's a sunday nighter and then number one just change the paint focusing so far going to be busy sunday night into monday the hardball ravens and chargers ravens coming off of that loss that they just suffered uh the ravens coming off of that loss at pittsburgh and now they're taking on a chargers team that has won four in a row jim versus john let's roll they say it's not about them okay so then lamar and derek henry and justin herbert and ladidi and jk mcconaughey here we go that's the most intriguing matchups of week number 12 presented by sleep number sleep better together during the black friday sale save 50 on the sleep number limited edition smart bed exclusively at a sleep number store that's my top five list right here when we come back mark harmon is going to be joining us in studio ghosts of panama is his new book and then there's a great celebrity true or false that we are going to play with the star of stars that is sitting in our green room right now we're very excited about all of that now i think we need one more we'll give you one more all right i'll give you one more i figured i figured you had to put dallas no i just couldn't no no let's go no no no no they're the number one team in football oh okay well taking on the cults indoors in indianapolis i can't this one intrigues me i don't about you guys but let's see how anthony richardson follows up that big fourth quarter against the jets can he slay the ultimate goliath which is the detroit lions on the absolute rampage that they are on right now winners of eight in a row eviscerating most opponents and the ones that they are coming close to losing against they are just coming up and finding ways to win can the indianapolis cults with jonathan taylor hit this team in the mouth the way that they've been hitting everyone else in the mouth and if the lions drop it they would have company potentially with the vikings right there and the packers getting one step closer and we'll see what the eagles do against the rams later on on sunday night this one's a big early window one folks that's my top five most intriguing matchups i like it brockman let's put a little bit of um hard-earned ducats on the over on this one over interesting by the way dallas commanders commanders is almost on it just because i want to see how jayden daniels responds to a two-game losing streak and his coach saying he's not hurt bounce back and dallas needs a win in the worst way as well this just did mark harman is coming in from our green room when we come back hey it's rich eisen here join me and my compadre chris brockman every monday on the overreaction monday podcast rich jamus has taken the browns to the playoffs dude why can't they win seven eight games to finish the year why not i'm not saying that's no why not but this is the definitive statement
