But joining us right now from the indoor golf facility in Palm Beach Garden, state of the art. If you don't know, zooming in from that SoFi Center right now, part of Jupiter Lynx Golf Club taking on LA Golf Club tonight in the best of three finals for the TGL, ladies and gentlemen, Max Homa is on the program. Good to see you, Max.
Nice to chat with you. Yeah, hey, thank you. Thank you for having me.
Okay, so let me just go straight up. What's more intact? What's better for you, Jupiter Lynx Golf Club or your bracket? Right now. What's going on?
Even someone who's not on our team, I think, is still closer to having a good. JupyterLinks connection in a bracket at this point.
So have you filled one out? Did you have time in your busy golf schedule to fill out a bracket? I finally didn't fill it out this year because I just am donating to my friends when I do.
So I finally pulled the trigger.
So I'm so proud of myself.
So you had self-control as opposed to actually donating to your friends by just torching a bracket on fire. That's what you said. Yeah, thirty-five years in I learned I'm bad at it.
Okay. Just stop.
Okay. Is that because Cal doesn't make the tournament? Yeah, and if they did, I'd pick them and then they would probably lose.
So I just donate anyway. I'm out. Yeah, I'm just a donator.
Okay, so Jupiter Lynx Golf Club is better, more intact, since you don't even have a bracket. I just took a stab with that one. Good to chat with you. How is Tom Kim doing after you knocked him over? Max.
Really good. The kid can take a hit. I think we had to, he's our youngest guy. I had to haze him a little bit, make sure he was tough.
So I went upstairs a bit. Yeah. And yeah, he can take it. Maybe UFC is next for him. Look at this picture after he aced in your competition.
This is, I believe, after you knocked him over. He got up. Look at Tiger, man. Look at him. Like, he won the Masters right there.
Yeah. It was cool. When you, you know, obviously T-Dev's gone through. A lot of knock golfing lately. He's energy in this thing's.
Very obvious. We want to give him something to be excited about.
So it's cool to put a smile on his face. What's this like? Moment like this for you and your team, Max? It's crazy. We keep talking about it, but we pinch ourselves having the goat.
In our corner, and he can't play this season, so we've been playing for him. It's a bit nerve-wracking. You know, he's been the clutchest person to ever probably play a sport. Uh, he's won 82 PJ tour events, and we're in here trying to be an extension of him somehow. You have rights, so it's hard not to get a little nervous, but it's also pinched me when you do something cool.
And you know, he's the first guy over there. I mean, it's, you know, when I was six years old, I first watched him win the Masters.
So it's the reason I think a lot of us play golf.
So to get to have him in our corner is crazy. I was going to ask that. I mean, I'd love to unpack that a little bit more. You know, obviously, if when you're six or when you're knocking it around here in Southern California, Max. You know, I told you that you'd be playing on a Tiger Woods-led team for an indoor golf.
Virtual golf, real golf league, you'd have said what? You know, it's crazy. Yeah, I would have asked here. Your people did maybe drug test you before the next show. You would have lost me at Indoor Golf League.
Right. I wasn't really picking that one. But yeah, just to ever, I mean, I've been lucky enough to play practice rounds with Tiger at Majors. I played the Masters for the first few days with him, all of those things. Uh I I wouldn't have probably Believed when I was a little kid.
So it's very cool. I feel very fortunate. It's not something that I just kind of go in one ear and out the other. I think it's been awesome. Does he give.
Tips, do you again? Like, you've been there around long enough, right? You've done enough, you're a professional. player in your own right, you know, a winner on a tour, but Does he offer two cents? Back.
Yeah, he's been great, but it's interesting. In the beginning of our friendship, I used to pick his brain a lot more. And as it's gone on, I just enjoy. Just talking to him like a normal person, like a friend. I think when you're first getting into it, you're nervous and you want to.
Get everything out of his brain that you can. And then over time, you realize. That there's some things that he just got magic with. You can't really teach it, you can't learn it. And then there's other things where it just gets cooler just at times that, you know.
Talk to him about the Dodgers or football or family life and all that, but he's been great. I honestly think his best advice wasn't. Really, anything I asked, but we were playing the Open Championship at St. Andrews. We had a long wait, and he came up behind me and he goes, How many times have you won out here?
And I made a bit of a joke about how I was catching up to him, but at the time it was three. And he very seriously looked at me and said, you know, it should be a lot more. And it just kind of kept walking. And I was like, all right, I'm going to remember that one. Because if he thinks I should be winning more, I should probably also believe that.
So it was a really cool thing and also in a very tiger way, very, very. Very sincerely and aggressively told me I am underachieving. It should be. I've doubled it since then. There you go.
So he inspired. That's what I'm saying. Once he said, I was like, you know what? I'm going to keep that. If I start to feel bad about myself, Tiger thinks I should have won more.
So maybe that's possible. Damn. Um did it take getting used to playing indoors? Max? Yeah, it's it's odd.
Yeah. Last year we were horrendous. The beginning of this year we were bad, but we've spent a lot more time here practicing like what we did just We just finished a little practice session playing the holes, getting used to the greens, but it's weird. It's uh It's crazy to say, but it's so bright in here, and with the perfect sand. Glistening golf balls, like the depth perception is really funky.
The screen on certain golf shots is unique. You know, some balls don't curve as much, some shots do curve more.
So you kind of get used to those things. We did a poor job of it last season, but This year, I think we've kind of figured out we hit our stride a bit, which has been fun. It's no fun to lose, even if it's indoor golf. It did suck.
So it's been cool to get on a bit of a roll.
So the sand is too perfect, the balls are too shiny, or at least it was to start. In your yeah, no, no, it just has been. You just gotta get used to it. Hitting that in that fairway bunker behind me right there is tricky because you just have these lights over you. And it it's like the ball and the sand like blend in perfectly.
I don't know how to explain it, but there's a little things. We're just so particular, and we get so used to how we. Prepare and how we hit certain golf shots, and you play golf so much with your eyes. And in an indoor one, you just have. like I said, a lot more lighting uh changes, but also What you're hitting at is, I mean, it is 30-ish yards away, but If there's a tree or a rock or whatever on that stinger hole, it's like you can't actually see it.
You can't picture it as like a tree limb overhanging, like you're in the rough or something, hit one low.
So it's weird how much we've noticed you play golf with your eyes. Even though it obviously does come down to how far you hit it and what club, but it takes a bit of getting used to. Max Homa here tonight at 9 Eastern Time on ESPN 2 is Jupiter Lynx Golf Club taking on LA Golf Club again in SoFi Center. Best of three finals tonight. And tomorrow, 7 Eastern and on ESPN, 9 Eastern time, if necessary on ESPN, joining me here.
So, you chat Dodgers baseball with Tiger Woods. Is he a Dodger fan like you, Max? Yeah, big dog too.
SoCal guy.
So he's a big Dodger fan.
So that's been quite nice. Yeah. Yeah, I'm a Yankee fan, Max.
So I'm going to ask you the question this way: Do you defer your Jupiter Lynx salary to your retirement as well? Is that the way it works? I'm going to call Andrew Freeman, Dave Roberts. I'm going to get the insight on how all that works.
So I'll get back to you on that one. I love that. Are the Yankees crying poor? Max kind of is. It's not the Yankees, it's everyone else.
Yeah, you know what I mean? Everyone else. There's 29 other teams. Yeah. Sound better crying poor.
But the fact that this guy on the screen holding up a a trophy for a second straight year is making $125 million as a guy who makes he's making $125 million as a spokesman. and basically league minimum as a baseball player. You know? It's kind of tough to take if you're not a culture fan. I've quite enjoyed it.
Speeds are on on that one. Max just gave me the jerry son. I feel free when I sit inside on my couch and watch him hit home runs.
So it's been nice for me. It's not just him, too, man. It's not just him. The team's amazing. It's been 12-ish years of maybe 13 years of just a really cool run.
Yeah, yeah. It's a shame everyone's upset about it, but all of us got partner very much enjoy it. Who was your guy growing up? I mean, Kershaw, it's hard. It's going to be weird having a year without Kershaw and getting to watch him.
But, I mean, he just. Being a Dodger the whole time, you know, we also got to grow up with Kobe Bryant, who obviously was a Laker the whole time. It's just that's something special and cool as a fan. And he's obviously so amazing to watch. And yeah, he's been the guy, but it's been cool that now.
Watching people like, you know, I think this year Mookie Betzwell played more games with the Dodgers and the Red Sox.
So you start to see how he's just become like a mainstay. Obviously, just a ton of great players on the team, but Kershaw forever. I mean, growing up, getting to watch him and. his just legacy and his consistency was incredible. Yeah, man.
I mean, there was a story I tell here frequently. There was a moment in the playoffs last year where Freeman's at the plate, Betts is on first, Otani's on second. Freeman hits one in the gap, and there was a shot from behind home plate watching the ball go in the gap and watching Freeman start to run, and Betts and Otani make their way around the base pads. And I'm like, that's a half a billion dollars. On the base paths, right there.
You know what I mean? And then you got Will Smith, and then you got all these role players, and then you got Dave Roberts, who's pushing the buttons perfectly. And then, on top of all that, now they get Kyle Tucker, who remarkably has not deferred his salary.
So, there's that.
Sorry. Maybe I'll call him about why or why not to defer. I need to look into this because maybe we've been missing out on the contract side. I don't, that's a, that's a word I had really used. Yeah.
Well, I mean, there's no, there's no, I don't think there's a cap in golf. You know what I mean? I don't think there, or, you know, or a luxury. There's no this. Max home, everybody.
Do you got a question of my golf aficionado here, along with me here? Been a fan. You're so engaging with the fans. You're great on the interviews, and you just kind of get it. But as a fan, we've been kind of riding the roller coaster the last couple of years with you.
How do you assess your game right now? How are your mentals? Just kind of want to check it in as we're a few weeks from the Masters. The roller coaster has just been me sitting waiting for them to have that green button go so you can actually start to ride. It's been quite slow.
Yeah, last year was awful. I started to play a lot better around May, but it still wasn't great. But I've played quite nicely since about October. My game feels awesome. I haven't scored well at all, but I'm quite pleased with where it's at.
So very excited that August is coming up, playing the Bolero right before that. But game feels great. Had a weird week last week at Valaspar, but that felt at least more like an anomaly and not like one where last year was kind of the opposite.
So I'm hopeful to give you something to cheer for soon. Yeah, and do the curry. Would you do the Curry on do the curry on at Augusta? Would you do something like that? I would love to, but golf is one of those where Steph can make a shot up six with a minute left, hit a three, and kind of know, hey, it's over.
I'm going to do the night night early and look cool. I'd have to wait till I hold out on the 18th hole. I'm going to win because I promise you, if I'm Birdie 17 to go up two and I hit the night night and I hit in the trees the next hole, I'm just going to be shaking my head thinking I absolutely am going to be on Scott Van Pelt's not top place. I'm going to be everywhere for a bad reason. You don't want to get on SVP's bad side.
No, you just don't want to do that. And you're a Laker fan, too, I imagine. Yeah, you must have a lot of people. They're on a roll too. They're unbelievable.
Yeah, nine in a row. Luca's killing killing. Yeah, and LeBron looks good. Luca's on a tear. I haven't seen, I mean.
Kobe did it for, I forget what year it was, where he scored 40 a bunch of games in a row, but this has been nuts. It has been.
Well, listen, Max, it's been great chatting with you. We're here in LA. Whenever you're in town, we'd love to have you here in person at some point. And I appreciate you taking time on. Right before a big finals gets going in TGL.
And thanks for the time, Max. Good luck. Yeah, no worries. I'll thank you for having me. I hope everybody's proving for Jupiter Lynx.
And I will get the Dodgers to text, give me your Venmo. I'll have them send the Yankees some money. We could have figured this thing out. Yeah, yeah, because they've got it, Max. They now own the Lakers too.
You know what I mean? No, they'll spread around. I appreciate it. I'll send you my Venmo. That's for sure.
Take care, Max. You be well. Thank you, Max. Good luck to you. That's the Jupiter Lynx club member.
Awesome. Max Homa. TGL Finals L L A G C ESPN 2 tonight at 9 Eastern, tomorrow at 7 Eastern, and on ESPN, and then 9 Eastern if necessary. I wonder who's on at nine Eastern that gets kicked off. Just on standby?
He's on standby. It's not us. I know it's not us. I know it's not us. Love it.
Okay. It's fun. It's very fun. You can see they're having fun out there. Yeah, I wish they had a, you know, I wish they did two coasts at LA Center or Arizona or something.
It's Florida, Florida only, but it's so cool to see on TV the technology with it. You know, Cage is super dialed, so we'll watch it. I'll be honest with you, when it first got created and I heard that they're playing at SoFi Center, I thought they meant here. Yeah, that would have been great. And I'm like, oh, I'll go to that.
And it's Florida. I'm like, yeah, that's a more geographically unsound. Yeah, that's not exactly a drive down 405. Yeah. Yeah, and Taylor, her All-Star game performance on Saturday, she won.
They're moving on? They are moving on. They are moving on. They won the city. And The final was right by Dodger Stadium.
And I told her, I'm like, in five days, we're not making it here like this fast. No. Right by Dodger Stadium. Man, oh, man. And then she starts telling me about the history of Chavez Ravine that they were teaching her in school, about the way that they.
The land was You know, used to be someone else's, now it became baseball's and Dodgers. And she goes, You should talk about it on the air, Dad.
Okay. The manifest destiny of the Los Angeles Dodgers. How would that rate if we started talking about that? It would create a conversation. Ladies and gentlemen.
Imminent domain brought to you by. That's right.
Okay. There's a lot of that going on in this. You think so? Talk about Central Park, kids. Moving on.
844-204-Rich number. Google it. Google it. Speaking of eminent domain, Mr. Jackson Smith and Jigba has just removed some cash.

You are a frontrunner, man. Wearing a Dodger hat now. Yeah, Mike.
Sorry. That was the first nine years of this show. You were there with me living and dying as a Yankee. Seriously, I ask you, sir. They don't suck.
They do, they stink. No, they do not. What the Yankees are. What the Yankees are are a. Um A well Enriched franchise with a history of winning.
that in recent years have been frustrating. Because what they do with their roster is build a collection of home run-hitting strikeout artists that do not put the ball in play enough. When they need to, and then this year. They went ahead and they gave Trent Grisham a qualifying offer of 20-something million bucks. I bet you, if you put sodium pentothal in the veins of everyone in that front office, they would have thought he would have rejected that because he would have gotten more in the free agent market.
They were looking for a. Draft choice, he said, Yes, I'll take your money. And now suddenly they're like, Now what? That are good.
Now we got to go run it back, and we've got to get Cody Bellinger. Everyone else told him no. And they still don't have somebody to put on base for judge. To knock in. And then we'll see if Stanton is going to play 162.
They're going to run it back. And they're still a very good team. But the Dodgers are better. They're better constructed. They are more talented.
They are deeper. And we will see. We'll see about your Mets. We'll see about your Red Sox, how much better they could be. Roman Anthony looks like a beast in the making.
Oh, he's great.
So. Yeah, I didn't intend to go down this baseball.
Sorry, no, no, it's okay. No, I just we just showed a clip. Talking about Me arguing with a Dodger fan on a Halloween night in 2023 about how they've been a disappointment, just like the Yankees have been.
So don't. come from your high horse. And now they're on the highest horse of them all. That was not the point of that video, though. No, the point of the video was just a lot of fun.
But I've just seen him wearing this Dodger hat that back on that day of Halloween in 2023, you wouldn't be caught dead in a hat that you proclaimed to wear so proudly because you've been in Los Angeles longer than you were a New Jerseyite. I may never go back. It's frustrating, man. I may never go back. I never go back.
Well, if the Yankees win, I would love that. He's not welcome. You're not going back. I can't do that. I can't do it now.
You are not welcome back. I can't do it. That door is shut. I could wear that double hat. All right.
Jackson Smith and Jigba has been paid. This is why the Seahawks made all the moves that they were making or not making in their free agency period. Because he knew this moment was coming, and here it is: four years, a buck 68.6, 120 million of it guaranteed. The annual salary, the APY is $42 and change, right? Yeah, 42.15.
All right, so it's the most in the NFL. And the offensive player of the year. Stalk the landing. Just when he can get paid in this manner, his timing was impeccable. His timing was impeccable, but you know what's impeccable?
His timing on the field, his timing off the field, his timing, he's been great. Every Day. He laces them up and puts the pads on collegiately, professionally. I didn't know him in high school. They send DK Metcalf to.
Pittsburgh, they say you are the guy here for our new quarterback, Sam Darnold, and he's offensive player of the year. The guy who I voted for Offensive Player of the Year, Puka Nakua, is next. Apparently, that's coming in the summer. And the Seahawks, that's another part of the reason why you pay your guy, too, and you pay him. In a way that's market-setting, and you beat the other guy to the punch in less need, and now it's less, you got to pay him more.
Or you've got, or we're going to put the pressure on you to pay him more. And this is just another part of the Seahawks-Rams rivalry: they're both going to have these kids from the same draft just keep on catching it and dominating, and it's awesome. And You know, we talked about it on Overreaction Monday. You had an ORM topic bar that it's going to create a problem since Sam Darnold isn't the highest paid guy in the locker room, and that was for an ORM audience. I bring it up here only to point out that I think this shows everyone in that locker room.
We draft you here, you do what's expected of you, and you surpass it. You're going to get paid, but not only paid market value, we'll reset the market. We don't care. We'll do it. And that reverberates in the locker room.
Great signing, great job. You know, they got other guys they're going to have to pay to who are young and drafted and the same thing. We'll see how they all work it out. But if one guy can figure it out, John Schneider, the first general manager to ever. be the GM of two Super Bowl teams with Both teams having nothing to do with each other for roster and coaching staffs.
Head coach, different head coach, different quarterback, different roster entirely. It'll be John Schneider.
Well done. And Cooper. Prior to this signing. He's when I see him later on today, he's going to be DAD. You know.
Did you ask this question? Because I told him I'm going to ask the question when it's appropriate on the show. I had no idea it would be the next show. Oh. But Coop turned to me and he said.
Because he heard this was a rumor. He said, Dad, who could be the next Jackson, Smith, and Jigba? Who could that be? Meaning Balling out third year of a career where they've Gotten a little bit better. Each year.
Have an opportunity to be the number one overall receiver, ball out, get paid, win offensive player of the year and get paid. And I'll be honest with you, I've got a list of third-year wide receivers. And none of them matched that comp. None of them. Absolutely none of them.
None of them have started off well enough and then improved year two and then exploded and have an opportunity. And then I guess. Could explode in year three. I've got the list here. Lad McConkey, great rookie season.
Last year. Not so much. Yeah, not right. Yeah. Right?
I mean It's tough to surpass your rookie season like he did. But last year Yeah, he had 16 less catches and almost 400 less yards. But I think he will have an opportunity to be the one. You know, I got Quentin Johnston. You got Trey Harris.
I don't know who else they're going to. Sign, but is he a number one guy? Like he could be. You want to feed him like the Seahawks continuously fed this guy? In Seattle?
Thing is, he only had six less targets. from his rookie year and the production was way down. Justin Herbert is definitely the quarterback you're going to want to have.
Well, I heard he gets MVP votes. Nice. Right. Good one. Um there's Roma Dunze.
Now you're talking. That could be the one.
Now you're talking. That could be the answer to your question. But year two for him was injury marked, I guess. But I guess we could just ignore the ascension part from year one to year two. And say he's the one, and the quarterback is the one.
Um and maybe, but Chicago? Is that a spot? Offensive player of the year as a wide receiver from the Chicago Bears. I mean, it's tough to envision.
However, the volume was getting there. He played five less games last year than his rookie year, but only had 11 less targets.
So he was getting fed the ball. Remember, early in the year, he had a great touchdown streak going. He had six scores last year and only 12 games. And, you know, with DJ Moore out of town, it's going to be him and Luther Burton's show in the receiver room.
So I think that, you know, this isn't a crazy possibility. How about this one? Jackson Smith and Jigba's college teammate, who, when JSN was balling out in the Rose Bowl and things like that, Everyone's saying Nice stuff, Jackson, Smith, and Jigba. We see you. But it's the other kid, when he gets drafted, has a chance to be first overall and the most dominating receiver in the NFL.
Because I think he bawled out at JSN's. Um pro day. Marvin Harrison Jr.
Now Does he have the quarterback? There's just been something off, man. Yeah. It's just always been something off. Seems like him and Kyler never vibe.
Never vibe. Never vibe. They were never on the same page. But what if the. He got hurt last year, he missed five games.
Right. Mike LaFleur comes in, offense starts homin'. Do you trust Jake Button? But would you even, if you're Arizona, pay him like JSN? Could he be offensive player of the year there in Arizona?
Seems unlikely. Mm. Brian Thomas, Jr. What about him, man? He played his best with Mac Jones.
Him and Trevor Lawrence haven't been on the same page either, and then he was banged up last year. I don't know. I mean now look, now that's the thing. Does he get traded? Could he be a guy?
There's been rumors. Does he end up in New England or one of these other teams that needs a wide receiver? Uh then maybe yes, we could see that explosion, but Haven't seen it in two years in Jacksonville. And when he did, it was with their backup. Yeah.
Offensive player of the year, though? I mean, like, again, this is what we're talking about. You hit it. to the point where you get the highest honor a receiver can get. Because I don't know.
The next time he's an MVP for a receiver. No one was hotter going into last year than Brian Thomas Jr. He's coming off nearly 1,300 yards, 10 touchdowns as a rookie. He was, I think, top five in receiving in every category. And then, you know, just 48 catches last year.
Two other guys to quickly mention from this draft class: Xavier Worthy, Ricky Pearsall, just to throw their names out here. I'll throw you one more, though. What if Malik Neighbors comes back? It's not offensive player of the year that he wins, but comeback player of the year. And Jackson Dart And neighbors start connecting again, like we saw before neighbors blew his knee out.
I know that was a ridiculously small and. absolutely gut-wrenchingly small sample size. Because it was just happening. Right. And what if he does?
What he was doing in year one and then in year two appeared to be poised to be doing. And then it's time to hit. Yeah, he's another one outstanding. It's time to hit it. Outstanding rookie campaign, 109 catches.
He was 170 targets. He was getting 11 looks a game. That's probably more than JSN in his rookie year. That's probably more than that. Yeah, without question.
The seven scores, and then, look, obviously, the fluke tragic injury last year. Right. This is the one I think we could kind of circle because we think the Giants are kind of trending in the right direction, right? Harbaugh's there. He will clearly be the number one receiver.
Clearly. And that's an offense with Dart that we think could have some big play potential. Maybe they take Jeremiah Love and they're suddenly a hot new red zone team next year.
Well, if he takes Jeremiah Love, that would be. That would, I would imagine, take some volume away from a leaked neighbor. Freeze up freeze opportunities. I don't know. I mean, Scataboo's there too.
Coming back from the tree? He and Dart never had a chance to get going because they started. What did he do? Yeah, he only started one game before neighbors got hurt. We haven't seen that real connection yet.
He was doing that with Jameis, right? No, he was doing that with Russia. Oh, you know, he had that game, the Cowboy Giant game when Russ just went off, had three touchdowns. Blake had two touchdowns. He's comes back.
I mean, that could be the one who has the JSN breakout massive year. Time to get paid. Market value, market setting. You know, contract. And I imagine they'll give it to him as opposed to w they refused to give it to Saquon famously years ago.
But that might be the one right there. Man, I honestly I mean, I guess if we're being real, real, I don't see any of these guys getting that. That's why I said I look at I look at the list here and it's but again, going into last year, would you have looked at it at Jackson, Smith, and Jigba and saying not only is he going to Surpass what DK Metcalf was bringing. No, I would have been shocked. But he would be offensive player of the year.
And he will. make millions per year more than Justin Jefferson. By the end of the day, that would have been a tough sell. Right, it would have been a tough, yeah. If Smash cut to one year ago on this day, that would have been a totally different conversation.
Yeah, nobody. That's why I said this timing was so great with. Being in the right place, right time, and bawling out. Should scratch a few of that off to Sam Darnold. Yeah.
Sometimes Scoop comes up with ideas we can talk about. And other times he's like, Dad, was Travis Hafner any good? You're wrong. That'd be the end of that. Great nickname.
What? Pronk. Pronk. Oh, he would have liked that if I told him that. Yeah.
I forgot. Yeah. This guy hit a lot of home runs. Listen, man, and so did Jackson, Smith, and Jigba, just to finish up there. That if you are Seattle, you have told your locker room.
This is how it works. This is how it works. It and Sam Darnold, would they redo his contract because of what he just did? I I don't think so. He signed the deal.
I think he's cool enough to understand that that's the way it goes. And if he does it again this year. Then it then we're talking. Or they could just What? Sprinkle a little extra added on it?
But they also have to in time for this year. Uh They still have a plan. They still have so many young, good players that need to get. Pizzade in their own right, coming down the pike. Um And You know, Darnold is Gonna sit there, maybe in a quiet moment, maybe his agents will say something.
like A Do you see what the Colts just did for Daniel Jones? The agents won't. You know what I mean? Like. A And he didn't even finish the season.
So, don't forget about your own New York supposed washout. I I don't know. But in the meantime it shows the locker room. This is what happens when it's time. And that goes a long, long way.
Every single player that I've come across. My 23 years of being with NFL Network. will always tell you this is the Way to go. in your locker room. Certainly when they're good people.
which Jackson, Smith, and Jigba by all accounts truly is. 844-204-Rich. Number to dial right here on the Rich Eisen Show. We're back with more. We can't wait to talk with.

That's right.
He was in the shirtless photo we took a few years ago when he went and saw Bert in theater. Oh, yeah, he and Bert are tight, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. He was one of his Bert's openers. Yeah.
It says here he's a Saints and Knicks fan. That's an interesting combination.
Okay. Which means he speaks French in the New York version of it. It's the same thing. Ever seen any of his comedy? That's you.
It makes sense, right? Yeah, it makes sense. All right, so he's about to come out here. And then Daryl Hoosh, do said. Hoosh.
So will you do me this favor? Look this up, make sure that I'm accurate.
Okay. He did say he's better than Mahomes in flag football, right? Or is he saying he's just better than Mahomes, period? I think it's a flag football. Hold on.
Okay, I just let's make sure before. We go down that road. We should do that. Um Ever since I was pointing out the Lakers are going to go on some long run into the summer, they just don't lose.
Now, Luke Kennard's making three-point shots to win Orlando. From way downtown. Bang.
So there's that. Then Luca picked up his sixteenth tech and then they they rescinded it. He said, No, no worries. Oh, I wonder why. What do you mean?
What do you think? I mean, I want to channel my inner O'Shea here, who is a Laker defender, but he's also a crazy conspirator theorist when it comes to the NBA. Lakers are on a roll here, and they're getting all kinds of buzz, and they just happen to be like, eh, let's rescind that. We can't have this momentum stop. Unless there's a reason to rescind it.
Yeah, I mean, I didn't see the play, so I have to withhold judgment, really. All right, I have Hoosh's quote here. He was in a beef with TMZC. See how quickly he just moved away from the Lakers performing well and going well and winning well. No, excuse me, I'm not ready to transition just yet.
I'm not. Because we got it. I know what you found. That's great. If you don't mind if you don't mind holding.
Hold. Seriously, this is not real to you? Chris? This is not real. March.
So what? What do you mean, so what? Did the playoffs start already? Are these playoff are these playoff games, TJ? Yes, but what you're seeing, you're seeing if barring injury, you don't think this could be replicated once it's once once you start playing once every three days?
Well, no, the first uh the first round and the second round are every other day. Ish. There's always one where it's like a Monday, Thursday. All I'm saying is: look, James Harden. Was one of the best offensive players we've ever seen.
And in the course of a seven-game series, he looks different. Yeah, but Luca's performed in these series. And LeBron has performed. Peak Hardin or Peak Luca? Peak Luca.
I mean, Peak Luca too. Yeah. But Harden has multiple MVP shows. Are we not seeing Peak Luca right now? Luca have an MVP trophy that I'm missing.
Okay. Harden should have won three in a row. That's what I'm saying. Yeah. Come on, now.
James Harden should have won three consecutive MVPs.
Okay. Got one. And then you're saying Luca's.
Okay, I understand. I'm saying, over the course of a seven-game series.
So, why should it be held against Lukas? You can defend this guy. Just like you could defend James Harden. As Luca played in the NBA finals. Yes.
How do you do in those finals? Hess Hard never played in NBA Finals. Yes. But he wasn't number one on the call for a finals team. That's correct.
Understood. All right. Now you've taken me out of the lane here that I really 100% real. This is one of the reasons. I got to text Coop.
Your dad is now. No, no, no. I am not. I am not. I'm talking about something that I think.
Is important to no, don't, this is not, don't bring, by the way, my son in a way. You're all like, da, da, da. Because by the way, no, because he's on, he's on, you know, he's on Spring Break. No, text me back. No, because he does have his phone at this time of day.
Just saying. But it's not, he will accuse me of being a Laker fan, which he knows is not true at all. At all. I'm saying that this is, in fact, the Dallas Cowboys of the NBA, the Yankees of the NBA, the Dodgers, if you will, of the NBA, that when they do well, you pay attention to them more. Certainly, when they've got all-time stars, certainly when you feel.
that they will never pull it together and they have pulled it together in time for the playoffs. 100%. Hey, this run is impressive. We've seen all the numbers with LeBron Reed. Do they play a game in June or not?
Not been good. Do they play a game in June? No. The Western Conference finals doesn't bleed into June. They're not they're not playing in June.
TJ Jefferson. Do the lawsuits. And they're not better than Oklahoma City. I think not.
Okay. But. Yeah, no. TJ. I don't think so.
Like, I've been on record. I'm going to stick with what I said. I think the Thunder repeat. But the Lakers are, you know, as much as I hate to say this, they're rolling right now, man. There, Roland, are they peaking too early?
Yeah, you see, that's what it could be, Brockman. I mean, they have a guy, look, who can go God mode at any given point. And so, you know, we've seen that that can, you know, that can take you kind of far. Can it win you a title? The NBA Finals first day is June 3rd.
So, the conference finals does not make it. It's not a game in June. Do they make the Western conference finals? I still say no. And you say no as well.
Why? Because the Spurs will pull it together and they won't be able to get past the Spurs. Or because if they are the three state, they will not see Oklahoma City until the Western Conference finals. Who guards Wemby on the Lakers? I don't know.
Well, that's a group effort there.
Okay. I don't know. Okay. You guys may be right in the long run, but uh the fact that they're going to go deeper into the playoffs than you think. Is more possible.
I do think they'll have a nice playoff run. I just don't think they're going to make it. All right. What did Daryl Houset say about Mahomes, sir?
Okay, he said his comments initially about Mahomes were misconstrued and taken out of context.
Okay. He did say, though, I'm not saying I'm a better overall player, but if he steps on a five-on-five flag field, I'm going to feel that way. I'm a competitor, I need to be proven wrong. By the way, did this weekend not show that? Oh, this weekend, I said an overreaction.
TJU echoed it as well. We're good. We don't need the NFL guys to win gold. Not even one? Not even pop an NFL guy on the team.
What do you want to do? You want to do like a big three situation and have like a recently retired player? Yeah, that's good. I think for like I said, name recognition just to draw casual fans in for sure. But these guys are nice.
I think if the games were probably this summer, you could put Odell out there. That's big time name recognition. The league isn't banging down his door anymore. And you could put him out there and he could play wide receiver for a handful of snaps. I saw Luke Keekly high point a pick that was just like, wow.
But Luke Keekly also said it's a different skill set. Yeah. It clearly is. And those guys were kind of gassed. Yeah.
It's a different skill set.
Now Luke has been retired five years, but still in You know, he's not. Taking it easy on the workouts. Helped clarify an actual football thing, which is the Patriots. needing therapy to get along. They definitely needed it.
In advance of Brady's. RED JACKET RETIREME CEREMONY IN NEW ENGLAND Mm. This event that people might not have been focused on, paying attention to, I think. brought clarity To the fact that maybe Team USA's players are the best ones to put out there for the Olympics because they do it. They are skilled for it.
They are trained for it. They do it. And I understand that you want to have the big name guy. I'm. I know there are people in the league office who are like: if we put this in the Olympics, then we can get the same.
You know, splash. That the NBA and the NHL gets on their own leagues. But at the end of the day, this may be it's a different sport. Flag football is a different sport than tackle football, 100%. The Rich Eisen Show, the podcast.
