Two hours ago, Kyle arrived at the bar. Hey, what's everyone drinking? 30 minutes ago, Kyle got his friends another round of drinks. Cheers! Five minutes ago, Kyle decided to drive home drunk.

A minute ago, a law enforcement officer pulled up behind Kyle. Sir, have you been drinking tonight? A chain of events that began two hours ago is about to change Kyle's whole world. Drive sober or get pulled over. Paid for by NHTSA.

This is the Rich Eisen Show. That's like an alarm clock. Woo-hoo! With guest host O'Shea Jackson Jr. Oh my gosh, I'm a 5'11 quarterback that I just got drafted in the first round.

The Johnny Manzell that I watched on TV, I would think he would be like, Yeah, of course I'm going to the Cleveland and I'm gonna be that guy. Earlier on the show. WWE superstar Jacob Fatu. MMA and boxing journalist Ariel Helwani. Super Bowl champion running back Marshawn Lynch.

Coming up. Actor and recording artist Ice Cube. And now. Sitting in front. O'Shea Jackson Jr.

What's up, y'all? O'Shea Jackson Jr., filming television. It's O'Shea Jackson Jr. sitting in for Rich. And man, Marshawn has blessed us today.

Yes, indeed. Yes, sir, man. He's still in the building. And I still got, you know, I still got my fourth guest. You know?

Big fan, been a big fan of Ice Cube for a very long time. Can't wait to talk to you. Oh, man, I don't even sound right. You talking about ice cube. Ice Cube.

Yeah, he made me. I did sideline reporting for the big three. Yeah. And yeah, I interviewed him and I was like, yeah, so we're sitting here with Ice Cube, creator of the big three.

So Cube Dad, and I just called him Cube Dad the whole time. Trying to be professional, but you're still my dad. It's going to be weird during our interview when I tell him I love him. Oh, man. Yeah.

Is your dad big on saying the L-word? Yeah, okay, good. Every time we hang up, every time we leave somewhere, every time you just never know. You never know. Anything can happen.

He's had a few people close to him who've lost their sons and things like that.

So it's always: hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, I love you. All right, I love you too. Like, it's just how we Jackson House, man. Yeah, that's how I get down with moms, though. Yeah, you gotta.

I get on the phone with moms, like, just call her, like, hear her voice. She do it what you want. And I'll be like. I love you, mama. She'd be like, Yeah, I love you too.

And I'll tell her, got you. And I'll hang the phone and tell her fast on her though. She'll tell me, boy, what the hell is wrong with you? Everything is wrong with me. And then she'll hang up on me.

Yeah, man. You got to tell her sometime. You know, just sometime.

Now, something I wanted to ask you, two questions, really. Um so we know you like trucking more than you like juking.

Now, when you're on a long run, what's worse to an NFL player? Finding out you've stepped out of bounds, or getting tackled at the five. Because I've seen you all like Taste pay dirt and then probably get to it. Probably getting tackle. Yeah.

I mean you could understand that Stepping out of bounds situation, but getting snatched. Yeah. That's something you ain't gonna be able to lay that one down. You go in that locker room, or maybe when you get back to the sideline, if you don't come out. Bro, you slow as hell.

Hey, you slow. Don't ever come over here talking about you fast. That's, yeah, that's a thing you do not want to hear, especially if you got some.

Some guys that you done, hey man, you slow, bro. I'll run it up on you. Ugh, you get snatched. You damn near come to the sideline. Heads are shaking for sure when they looking at you like.

Yep. Nah, you know what, man? I think I'm going to just go back in right quick. Because you always see players get up, smack the ball, or like they just, you see them grimace.

So that getting caught at the five. Getting snatched is, oh my God. That's like the Buddha Baker getting run down by DK Metcalf. That's crazy. That was crazy.

Yeah, do fast. Yeah, for real. Do fast. He run like a a a damn cheetah or whatever, a gazette, however you say it, but he He caught him. Yeah, he did.

Caught him.

Now, you, you know, you. You and your peaceful time, you know, off the field now. I always imagine like retired NBA players. Like I just feel like they dreams gotta be filled with like sneakers squeaking. Do you have like do you have like them football PTSD dreams?

Like, do you ever like, you just like, do you have that feeling still at all? I just feel like a football player dream sound like I just feel like that's not college. Nah, man, I think I was able to because you gotta remember I retired, came back, and then came back one more time.

So. I mean, you know, I and I mean, I, you know, I play with passion and I play, you know, for a reason. Mm-hmm. You know, both times I came back. One was because the Raiders was finna get ready to leave Oakland and I wanted to play in the Coliseum before, you know, God knows what they deal with that thing.

And then when I came back for the Seahawks, they had just had Uh Penny and uh Carson had just went down. And they like, we need a running back.

So, I mean, you know, both times was like, all right, let me go see if I could, you know, I mean, strap it up. And get down.

So I think I got all that out. But I mean, you know, I think I played enough football to. You know what I mean? Uh to you know be able to let it go. I mean, I'll still get out there.

I mean, I don't think it's got no... Man, I think I could still get out there. I fulfilled all that. That's a different. That's a different beast.

Yeah, for sure. That's a different beast. For sure. I would, boy, as soon as I. Put civilian clothes on.

I don't think I could play no more football. That's a wrap. Like, I'm done, bro. I'm hitting this Epsom salt bath and I'm out of here. Epson salt bath, huh?

Man, I'm out, bro.

Some magnesium. I'm going to sleep.

Now I need to know. Because you were part of what I think is the best football commercial ever, man. That NFL 100, that fumble. Yeah. What is that like having all y'all in that room?

I feel like, because I hung out with like UFC fighters, and all they do is like kick your leg all day. Like, they are these big old dudes. It's like, come on, like, they try to size you up all day.

So I could just imagine. Having all them players together, it's gotta be fun. It had to be a good day. I mean, you know what the thing is, when you film something that big, like they do that in parts, sequences. You feel me?

So it ain't like I was there with all of them. I mean, I for sure probably would have gone crazy because. I mean that was a a roster, a lineup of players, a Yeah, I mean past, future and Uh and and in present like To be a part of it was big, but to actually kick it off. Yeah. Like, cause I kicked that thing off.

And then you see what's going on, and then you know, you have. You would have done something like that for sure.

So that was on brand for you. And I'm like, bro, what? I just wanted a piece of cake. I ain't know if that thing is. You feel me?

Yeah, you feel me?

So. But yeah, that was a. I was big. Yeah. That was big, and then I just started seeing it circulating not too long ago.

It came back around and it's doing some numbers again. Yeah, now. You've also, you know, you you Obviously, you know, for running. You threw a tub. Yeah, for sure.

Yeah, that spiral is tight. Hey, man. When you do an out-of-position thing like that. That's got to be. Star in the helmet type situation.

For real, especially because, I mean, you know, uh. L T was a was a dog. And I think LT had a touchdown receiving. Russian and he threw one. And I believe at the time I made a comment: like, man, I'm trying to get like LT.

All I need to do is catch one. I mean, one of my teammates. Corey Mace. He man, matter of fact, my dog Head coach up in Canada, CFL. But he came in, he's like, hey, man, you done ran one.

You done. You know, ramp. I'm finna try to catch one too. I'm trying to get him to throw me a ball, but It didn't happen, but That was some.

Something big, and I mean, you know, I I like to throw the ball too. I like to spin that mod. Yeah. Yeah, absolutely.

Now. Bro, you got a pod, man. You got a pod. You know, I'm giving you a chance right now to promote your pod. You know, what's the name?

Where can the people find it? You know? Uh, get got. Yeah. The gig got par with uh with Mike Robb.

Um you could get it on uh What is that? Playmaker all.

Okay. But they got Spotify, YouTube, all the, you know what I mean, all the get guy outlets, yeah, the get guy pop. I mean, I got a lot of things going on, but It's more so like you just gonna see him. Yeah. You don't see him.

You need me to retweet anything, you hit me. Anything you need me to post, that's nothing. Man, that's all. You looked out today, man. No, it's all good, man.

And I tell you, I appreciate you coming on the pod. Yeah. So, man, thank you. Look forward to that coming out. I don't know the exact date, but I know it's coming soon.

So. Appreciate you. Bro, appreciate you. Thank y'all for having me. Yes, sir.

Two gold champion. Champion in my book forever. Yes, sir. You're the man, bro. We got a game to play.

Yeah, we're going to play a game. We're going to do what's more likely, Marshawn. After we play the music, I'll explain it to you. Roll it. Oh, we got.

What? What's more likely? Never say never, but never. All right, here's the deal, guys. I give a couple of scenarios and you pick which one is more likely.

It's very, very simple. A lot of them are football-related on the matchups this week, and I got a couple for O'Shea. Here we go. More likely quarterback stock you're buying for the next five years: Cam Ward or Michael Pennix Jr. Ooh, I really do like Penix.

You know, Ward. I've never been a Titan. I just don't believe in them. Atlanta, I feel like, always gets in its own way. Yeah, but.

It's easier to get weapons to come to Atlanta than it is to go to Tennessee. No disrespect to Tennessee. But. I gotta go Panix. Rarshawn, any thoughts?

You want me to ask a question? Yeah, why not? Yeah, man. Cam Warder, Michael Pennix. Who do you like in the next five years?

Man, Cam still owed me a jersey. I'm gonna I'm gonna go town. I'm a go camp. Titans, Falcons tonight. Look forward to seeing those guys in action.

Okay, how about this one, Marshawn? It's perfect that you're here for this. Seahawks, Chiefs tonight. Mm-hmm. Is it more likely the Seahawks win the NFC West for the first time since 2020, or the Chiefs win?

Don't win the AFC West for the first time since 2015. Oh, jeez. Is it more likely the Seahawks? I was more likely the Seahawks. The Chiefs don't win their division.

The Seahawks win. Yeah, see I'm gonna say it's more likely. Come on, man. I'm in the NFC West. I can't do that.

Like. Are you gonna go against the Chiefs? Absolutely, bro. I'm raised by a Raider. I'm always, but you can't go against the homie, man.

Look, bro. The homie get active. Oh, yeah, bro. Patrick the homie. The homie get active.

Listen, man, I am raised. I might be a Los Angeles Ram, but I am raised by the autumn wind. And the autumn wind is a Raider.

So, Kansas City, you ain't doing it, bro. Not in my country. Yeah, that's tough. I like it. That's good.

All right. How about this one then? More likely to be the higher combined total. Giants, Jets, losses, or Rams, Chargers, wins. This is what y'all.

You did this on purpose. Of course. Man, you're good. Um. More higher combined.

Oh, yeah. Giants. Giants are just. Ooh, ooh, ooh, but. Yeah, Johnson just lost us for sure.

For sure. Notoriously bad. Oh, sorry, Rich. My bad. I forgot.

He's a Jet. You know, he's terrible. He should. There's no secret. Of course, he's not here.

The Jets, terrible. Michigan in trouble. And Rich Eisen on vacation. What a guy. Marshawn, you think so too?

Giants, Jets, losses?

Okay. How about this one? This is right up your alley. The more likely running back you want in fantasy this year: Christian McCaffrey, Ashton Genti. Mm-hmm.

Who do you want in fantasy the most this year? TJ, chime in as well. See Mac. Mm. You think he's back?

Yeah, and I only say that 'cause you I mean, he a bucket. Yeah. My dog still got to go ahead and get his wheels going. Yeah. But I mean, you know, with this situation, you know.

Big, you know C-Mac gonna get that ball. You know, they have to put him in his hand. Right. And he makes magic when he gets that thing, too. See, I'm going to need you for some inside help because my thing is between: I'm either going to get a C-Mac or I'm going to get Gibbs.

Because I got fifth pick, and I know who everybody else picked. I've been like sweating about this. I talked to them about this this morning.

So, you know, this is a great vote of confidence for my C-Mac. That's my final reality. Keep Marshawn Lynch. Yeah, man, you know he's a blood a bucket. Yeah, man.

It's no way. All right. Oh, man, I'm sweating. All right, yeah, man. All right, couple more.

Bears Bills this weekend, preseason week two. Is it more likely Caleb Williams becomes the first Bears quarterback to hit 4,000 yards or Josh Allen goes back-to-back MVP? Oh, uh, what's more, it's more likely, right? More likely, yeah, yeah. I'm going Caleb, Caleb for sure.

Fight on Caleb, even though TJ knows why, but I hope the Bears have a terrible year. Man. Just teaching Sprout. She ain't got nothing to do with the player. He got nothing to do with the players.

She don't have nothing to do with the organization. There's literally one reason why I hope the Bears have a terrible year. And he don't even play football, man. He don't even play football. He's just a fan.

Yep. You see, I'm hosting a show. Didn't have to fake a leg injury to host the show. Shout out to the world heavyweight champion, Seth Rollins. I hope, boy.

Oh, man. I hope they get dogwatch. All right, so you both say Caleb, right? You both say Caleb. Yeah, yeah.

All right, a couple more here. How about this one? More likely to win a triple threat steel cage match. Uh-oh. LeBron James, Shohei Otani, or Jared Verse.

What is this? I'm going Jared Verse. Why'd you throw Shohei Otto? Pal is 6'10. I get you, but like, these are all the stars of Los Angeles sports.

Come on. Yeah, I know, but Shohei, bro. Is he nice? Yeah, bro. Put it in.

He gets a baseball bat. How about that? All right. Just clocking. Yeah, man.

I don't know, man. Jared Verse is a nasty dude.

Well, LeBron's got like seven inches on him. Yeah, I know, but you know, LeBron, he's like three. Yeah, I just don't know. Center of gravity, man, it matters. And that dude, Jared Verse, is quick.

And also, you know, LeBron. As long as he's a Laker, I need him to stay out of trouble.

So he's just lay down, bro. You know, lay down, take the pin. Thing about Shohei, though, is he's sneaky big, right? You don't realize how big Otani is, man. And if he comes out there, he might be able to throw it from the shoulders, and then what?

Then you got a problem. I mean, well, you know, he's disciplined. I don't know. I've been doing it. I'd bet on it.

I'd bet on it. Hey, Bron, I try to keep you safe, man. I'm still kicking Jerry Brusso, by the way, more likely to be John Cena's final opponent. The Rock, Brock Lesnar, or anybody else. Final opponent.

Ooh, cause I've been thinking like, man, rock been real quiet. You know, Robin real quiet. One, two, three. He's probably setting it up. Final opponent, it should be the rock.

It should be the rock. It should be, right? It should be the rock. I'm staying with Mike Richard. Yeah, they got fun, too, right?

What do you think? What do you say, Joe? They had their WrestleManias. It's tied one-to-one.

Okay. Sorry, then it only makes sense. Yeah, you got to do it. I'm sticking with my no podcast prediction. Over Femi.

Over Femi, right? That's right. Absolutely happy. Talk to him, TJ. Just makes people mad.

All right, well done, boys. That's what it's more like on Friday with Marshawn Devin. Love it. Oh, good. Yeah, this is awesome, man.

All right, ladies and gentlemen, we got to say goodbye to Marshawn. He crazy, dude.

So unbelievable, man. Thank you so much. Thank you so much. Have my back. I thank you.

I appreciate you, man. And yeah, we got my dad coming up next. I mean, we got Ice Cube coming up next. I don't know which one sounds worse in this setting. Uh The official HBO Hard Docks podcast is back.

Hey folks, let me tell you that drinking and driving is a decision that will change your whole world. Things will never be the same once you get a DUI because legal fees and time in court are just the beginning. Getting into a crash is another way your world could be irreversibly changed after drinking and driving. Your vehicle may not be the only thing that gets damaged in that crash. You could face a life-altering injury or even death, but you're not the only one who could face those consequences.

Your decision to drink and drive could permanently change someone else's world, whether you injured them or leave their loved ones grieving. The next time you're out drinking, call a rideshare, a taxi, a sober friend, or a designated sober driver. Always plan for a safe ride home. The only decision that will change your world for the better. is the decision to call for a sober ride.

It is never worth it to drive drunk. Don't risk it. Drive sober. or get pulled over. Paid for by NHTSA.

You met Prince, correct? Yeah. What's the story behind that? You know, I can't remember how we met initially, but after our first encounter, he made sure that I was at every house party that he had in Los Angeles. I'll never forget, we were at Madison Square Garden.

Security came to my seat at the end of the show, or towards the end of the show, and said, Prince wants you to come on stage. I was like, okay. He wants you to come on stage now.

Alright, so I'll go on stage. It's me, Whoopi Goldberg. Cornell West, Tavis Miley, a bunch of other people on stage. And we went to this after-hour spot after the concert, a place called Village Underground in the village. Oh, it's famous.

Yeah. And so, you know, because Prince likes to jam afterwards.

Well, Prince just went to go listen to the musicians. And so it's Prince, his assistant, myself. And I see Prince lean over to his assistant. And then all of a sudden the assistant leans over to me. And says uh I don't know why I do this voice, but it's like Prince wants you to come back and have pasta and pizza.

I was like. Oh, okay. And then Prince got up and left and she got up and left. I don't know why her voice is so deep because it was a woman. She got up and she left.

But you were summoned. Yes. Summoned by royalty. And there was, you know, an array of people in the living room. And I went back to find Prince and he was back there holding court with Tabitha Smiley and Cornell West.

And he looked up and smiled and gave me the peace sign. And I went back in and we had pasta and pizza at four o'clock in the morning. How did Prince like his pizza? This is very important. The toppings first is a window into one's thoughts.

There was no meat on the pizza. And I didn't see Prince eat any pizza. We would go to his house, man, for the house parties, and it'd be Stevie Wonder playing the piano, Malcolm Jamal Warner on bass, you know, Rochelle Pharrell singing lead. It was just amazing, man. And then you would, it's like five o'clock in the morning, his chef is serving you breakfast.

You're like, why am I at Princess House at five o'clock in the morning, man? Welcome back to the Rich Eisen Show. I am still your host, fam and television is also Jackson Jr. I've been sitting at this lovely desk all day. By the way, can we just pause for a second?

Marshawn Lynch hung out for an hour. Yeah, James. That was so cool. That was awesome. That was the best.

That was crazy. And by the way, Marshawn Lynch, when I dapped him up, I was like, okay, dude could still give you about 15 carries. He's a giant. If at minimum. Absolutely.

But, you know, speaking of hanging out. I think it's time to bring, you know, somebody. I've been a big fan of him for a very long time. You ain't the only fan of him. Very long time.

I've been a fan of him for about 34 years. Indeed. And, you know, he's got the basketball league, the big three. He's also got a tour coming up. He does.

The man is on the move. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome Ice Cube. That's right. O.J. Jackson Jr.

Good to see you. Good to meet you. Big fan of yours, man. Big fan of the big movement. Love your dad, man.

He's great. Yes, man. Thank you, man. You know, I try to keep him nice. He's the best coach I could ask for.

Now. Cube, with Cube, you know, the big three is the best time of year. The big three playoffs are here, you know, as I know you're in Dallas, Texas right now, correct? Yep, in Dallas. Yes.

Now, how does it feel being, you know, eight years in with this league of yours? Oh man, it's amazing. Dream come true stuff. We started the league. We started the league for fans like us.

We were sick of hibernating. between the finals in the NBA and the NFL season. You know, I like baseball, you know, postseason baseball the best. Midseason baseball, you know, it's a long season.

So I used to hibernate, and I was like, man, I'm tired of this. I like, we need something. And so. The big, you know, three on three was something a love of mine. I always wondered why I wasn't professionalized.

And I looked around. Nobody was going to do it. I looked at my partner, Jeff Quantins, and I said, why can't we do it? And here we are, eight years later. playoffs in Dallas.

It's going to be great.

Now You know, I uh What do we have the matchup set already for these playoffs that will lead to the championship in Orlando the following week? Of course we do. You know, we have The LA Riot led by Dwight Howard. And um Jordan. Crawford.

And they're taking on the Chicago Triplets. led by uh Montrez Harold. And Yo, they They are both epic teams, best teams in the league. And they're going to go at it and see who's going to make it to the championship. Then after that, you have the Miami 305.

Led by two-time MVP Michael Beasley and Lance Makeum Dan Stevenson against Dallas Power. You know, Dallas has a actually has a home playoff game this time. The Dallas Power. With Glenn Rice and Greg Monroe, Paul Millsap.

So we got some epic battles, and we got a cool celebrity game. that's going on you got My team, I have Gillian Wallow. There's Brian. I think I'm getting Chris Haynes. Against Uh, Clyde Drexler's team, he has.

Waka Flaka, Hezy God, Ocho Cinco.

So, it's going to be a fun celebrity game before the playoffs.

So, got to check CBS out on Sunday for sure.

Now, you know, for those who haven't been watching the big three, Chicago and Dallas are two teams that you cannot fall asleep on because they continue to stay in it all the time and they never seem to really give up. You can't knock them out early. You're going to have to put them all the way down. And the teams of the LA Riot and the Miami 305, in the first game of the season, These two teams went at it in a real way.

So the idea of them being in the championship has got to at least be on your mind a little bit.

Well, you know, all of them are babies. I can't really root for none of them. I want them all to win, which we know can't happen. But I wouldn't be mad if any of these teams made the championship. They both.

I mean, all four of them are great squads with star power. And, um,. And we'll see how they do. You know, they got to get over the hump. They get over to Hunt Wilson in Orlando.

Is it you know, it's going to be great. Because we have our all-star game before our championship game.

So No matter what happens. You know, Dwight Howard will finish the season in Orlando. Yeah. Either as a champion, either on the championship game or as an all-star, which is kind of poetic. You know, this is the year he makes it into the Hall of Fame, and for us to be ending the season in Orlando.

It's uh it's pretty special.

Now, where can people get tickets? I know where can we purchase ahead of time so they make sure that they're there this weekend and next. If you're in Dallas or somewhere near the Dallas area, you can get tickets at big3.com/slash tickets. But we really need you to check us out on CBS. Um three o'clock Eastern.

Great games. We have great ratings on CBS. You know, our ratings are better than MLS, NHL, a few other leagues out there.

So. We're a league on the rise, and we want to continue that. Thank you for everybody that's been supporting the big three.

Now, besides the on court stuff Got a pretty good podcast over there, too. The threes and ones. How did that come together? Have you had fun making that or being on the sideline and producing it? Uh how's that been?

Oh man, when you got a when you got a A star like Mike Beasley, you know, he's must-see TV. Everybody's interested in his game and not only his game, but just him personally.

So we're just happy that he was down to do the threes and ones podcast. We got Chris Haynes. who's a big time NBA analyst, you know, kind of, you know, keep it keeping us on on on the rails. But but it's a fun show. You know, I pop in from time to time.

But it's really a show that that's uh for Mike Beasley and Chris Haynes. to not only highlight the league but talk about you know any um current event You know. pop culture.

So it's fun. People are watching. People like it. And they're candid. They're not holding back.

You know, we done. You got a few calls from what they done said on that podcast.

So, you know, they definitely letting it all hang out over there.

So it's fun. Now you got a tour coming up. Got a tour coming up. Very exciting. You know, talk to us a little bit about that, what you got lined up for your fans to see.

It's the truth to power tour. Four decades of attitude. I looked up, and it's been 40 years since I. I started in music. And it's time to celebrate that with a huge production.

Like I go on tour all the time. But this time I'm taking a production bigger than I've ever I've ever had in my whole career.

So I'm excited about that. and excited to really show people Um What inspired the music over these 40 years? You know, why did I write the songs that I wrote? Why did I make the moves that I made? My whole journey.

And a lot of people have they've become fans of me at different points in my career.

So here I want to take them all the way back to the beginning and bring them all the way into 2025. And where can people get tickets for this? Go to icecube.com. For tickets. You can also get them from Ticketmaster.

You know, anywhere you buy your concert tickets, we're there.

Now, you know, to speak about a little bit about the four decades. Yesterday marked the um the ten year anniversary of Straight Out of Compton. Your son, great in it. You know, quite one of my favorite films. Can you tell us how proud of him you are?

Yeah. Yeah. Oh man, I'm extremely proud. You know, he's such a great actor. You know, he's made such a, you know, not only am I proud that.

that you did the movie and you you know really became a great actor in the process. Not just shooting the movie, you were a great actor by the time we shot the movie. What I'm really impressed. with you is your work ethic. leading into the movie.

You know, a lot of people don't know that You know, you work for two years. To just even get the role, you know, nothing was promised. I couldn't guarantee you. The spot you had to earn it. I'm proud that you went through.

Um the steps Everybody talk about nepotism. No nepotism here. He actually, you know, went up against five other ice cubes to get the role.

So I'm glad you was able to. to prevail And then do a great job and create a great career for yourself, which I'm really proud of, is that it wasn't a one-shot thing. You are, you know. In high end demand out here in Hollywood, and I'm extremely proud of you. I'm going to cry in the car, TJ.

Now, that's dope.

Now, I got to let you know about what's going on. It's funny, you make me laugh all the time, man. If people could see us just coming up with stuff to make each other laugh. I take that's a movie in itself. I gotta let you know who what I've been surrounded with all day.

TJ, we got to get a shout out to TJ. You know him from the wrestling show, man. Yeah, yeah. Joe Conjur's wrestling.

So can I share with him the story real quick? A couple weeks ago, we were getting ready for the podcast, and we were talking about when Carl Anthony Towns kept trolling me, sending me flowers and balloons when the Eagles would win and the Cowboys would do that. And he was like, Yeah, man, my pops was talking about this. And then he went on, and I went, Whoa, hold up a second. I'm like, Your pops knows who I am?

And he was like, Yeah. And I was like, Oh my God. Because I tried to tell him I had a relationship with you before he had a relationship with you, man.

So it's just a pleasure to, you know, by proxy getting to know him because he and I, we've been working on our friendship and it's been building. And I'm telling you, this is a wild boy right here, man. That's my dude, though, man. That is my guy. And, you know, we, we've been getting closer and, like I said, building this rapport on this wrestling thing.

But yeah, yeah, you got a good one there, man. And he was raised right now. I appreciate it. I mean, he speaks highly of you. I think he loves the fact that.

That you, you know, you've been in the game a long time, you know, when he tells me that you've been a wrestling fan since 82. I'm like, wow, that's my era. You know, man, he's talking about my era.

So, It's great that you guys are able to grow this podcast. You know, I think you guys can own the space. Nobody's, you know, coming close to what you guys are doing when it comes to the wrestling space.

So keep doing it. Keep hustling. Keep working. And, you know, stay the best. Appreciate that.

Appreciate it. Absolutely, man. And then Chris, Chris Brockman, he is a Celtic and Patriot fan. I just wanted to tell on you. That don't make him a bad guy.

Okay. That don't make him a bad guy.

He's from Maine, though. I just found that out a couple of weeks ago. He's from Maine. You tripped me out, man. I had to tell my dad on you.

And then my man Del Tufo over here, you converted him to be a Dodger fan from your performance. I watched you rehearse at the World Series as a Yankee fan. And when you came out. At that game, I was like, I'm done. Yankees do.

I go, I don't care if they bring Frank Sinatra back and resurrect him and put him in Yankee. It would never, ever top that. That was one of the greatest moments. Yeah, can we get into this a little bit more? Let's get into this.

Who approached you? When was this become an idea? And did you know the game was over as you were performing before the exciting? It was not.

Well, we got approached by the Dodgers. You know, we got a real cool relationship with them. They said that they were, you know, thinking about having a performance. And they were working with my man Jesse Collins, big-time TV producer. And I was supposed to perform game one.

Mm. I was hyped. You know, I was like, yeah, man, I was just going to watch the game. I was happy that the Dodgers and the Yankees was finally getting back at it. You know, this is like a heavyweight fight.

This is Ali Frazier to me. And so, um, I was just happy to watch the game and be a fan. But then, when they asked me to be a part of it, You know, I just, you know, I was like, wow, this is not even a bucket list moment. This is not something you even dream about. This is just a gift, you know, from the basketball guys, without a doubt.

So, um, Then Fernando Valenzuela passes away.

So. They like well, we want you to come in game two So I'm like, hmm, game two. If they lose game one, game two might be a little sketchy. Um,. Mm-hmm.

But Freddie Freeman hits this Amazing walk-off. Grand Slam. And so it was just right. The time was ripe. Nobody was expecting it.

Baseball doesn't do this kind of thing. Right, exactly. That's why it was so kind of shocking. Like, it was just perfect for me. You know, when that fence opened and I saw, you know, 60,000 Dodger fans going crazy and rocking to the music.

I knew this was a moment that I had to cherish, and I couldn't pinch myself because I was going through it. Did not know the game was over after that. You know, high-five in the team, I saw that they were hype. I looked, I saw, you know, the manager going crazy, Roberts, you know, going crazy. Yo, these dudes is, they amp, they ready.

And, Rest is history. You know, I feel feel for my man Fat Joe. Like you said, they could have brought Frank Sinatra back. And you down 02 in a six. You don't want to hear nobody perform.

You're like, man, get the game going. Yeah. Let's get back in this series.

So it was a tough act to follow. But I had a ball, man. It's still. you know, one of the best things that ever happened to me in my career. Yeah, Joe, I mean, and then what really is terrible is the, you know, the deciding game.

Yankees up 5-0. And then they show Joe on the jumbo trunk. And then the Dodgers go on a five-run run. And it's just like, now there's a Joe curse because he was at the Knicks game. He was at the Serrano fight.

And those were all losses. What a terrible time. Entertainers cannot predict. Outcome of a game. You know what I mean?

There's no way. Yeah. It do feel And I performed before and the team lost and you feel like, damn. Was that my fault? Superstitiousness of sports.

Everybody down here. Like to thank you for the donation of bobbleheads. The Dodgers is very cool for doing the bobblehead. Fun fact: the White Sox are doing the bobblehead of me too this year. Oh, yeah, the White Sox, because I'm the one that made the famous black, White Sox hat famous when they changed their colors from red, white, and blue.

to black and silver and white.

So, you know, they honored me. by being the one who really brought that socks cap. Into everybody's living room.

So it's pretty cool.

Now, You said the magic words, so I'm gonna let you... Talk about the Raiders. Are you excited about this season? I know you're always going to support no matter what. But, you know, you got the running back rookie, Aston Genty.

Everybody's very excited about. How about yourself? Very excited as the president of the Raider Nation. Here he goes. I approve this message without a doubt.

You know, the Raiders, they got a coach now, you know, Pete Carroll. It's a guy that's won a Super Bowl, been to a few, well respected. Um and he he got his quarterback.

So Um it should be a lot better than last year. And we'll see. You know, it's it's all about when they strap it up. They got to win game one, game two. I think it's how you start off.

If we start off with L's. that old feeling gonna come back again, so This took here to get back on track. Absolutely. Big three playoffs this weekend. Make sure you guys go to record.

Big three. Dot com slash tickets. Yeah. Check us out this weekend, next week, next week in Orlando for the championship and also the all-star game. Uh dad.

It's not normally a custom here on the Rich Isaac Show to say this to the interviewee, but I love you, man. Thank you so much for coming on. I love you too. You're doing a great job, as I see. Yeah, but thank you so much.

Y'all say bye to my dad. Bye. Bye, dad. She loved it, man. See you.

Okay, this is all from the internet, so we'll see if these are true or false with iCube.

Now, hold on a minute. You actually, here's the first one: you actually own the Chevy Impala that your character Doughboy owned in Boys in the Hood. Do you still have that code? False. I've never owned that car.

Never once. No. That is false. That's false. Would you have wanted to own that Chevy and Paula?

Um, not really. Not really. No. All right, very good.

Next one. True or false, you have a two-year diploma in architectural drafting. Is that true or false? This is a certificate, and it was one year. Just one year.

One year. Yep. It was, they crammed four years into one year. Yeah. Did you ever have designs, if you will, on being architected?

I mean, no, no. I was doing it. I was into it. Then, like, the stuff we were doing with NWA started taking off. And the last thing I wanted to do was be at that school.

I was ready to leave. You were ready to take off. But I, you know, stuck it out. I graduated, got my certificate, and I think, you know, my mother hung it up somewhere, but I never looked at that thing since. Which school was it?

It was called Phoenix Institute of Technology. I don't even know if it's there no more. P-I-T. P-I-T. Yeah.

A fake Devry. Fake DeVry. Yeah, it's like a fake DeVry.

Okay. Here's another. I got two more.

Next one. You got the name Ice Cube from your brother because girls were calling the house asking for you all the time and that you were too cool for your age to reflect. They were calling for him. It's true. They were calling for him, and I would pick up.

You know, trying to holler at him, you know, it's like, man. He got a big head. You don't wanna be with him. You wanna be with me. I'm a little broke, bro.

And uh he found out. And back in the day they would You know, if you had an old refrigerator, it would put it on the curb and... You know, the junk man to come pick it up. And we had one on the curb down the street that was there for days. He was like, you know what?

Slam your ass in that freezer at the end of the block when they pull you out. You're gonna be an ice cube. You know, kids die in freezers, right?

So, so when I walked out the house, you know, I didn't want nobody to call me O'Shea no more. I'm like, my name is Ice Cube. And so, it just stuck. They started calling me Q, and never called me O'Shea since. Mm-hmm.

Yeah. Last one, Jerry Curl wigs used in Straight Out of Compton were valued at $15,000 each. Man, I'm supposed to know about a Jerry Curl wig. We had the real deal. You know what I mean?

Jerry did our curls back in the day. You know what I'm saying?

So I don't know about wigs and how much they cost. I'm pretty sure they're expensive. And I've heard about gangs going in and stealing, like. wigs and extensions out of like nail shops and hair shops. I don't think they cost $15,000.

If they did, somebody got beat. Because them wigs, someone was kind of tired. They needed work.

Well, I'm just wondering: if you were a producer of the film, you had to okay whether the wigs were. Yeah, I did. Yeah, I did. I did. I was really pretty anal about that because some Jerry Curl wigs can look comical.

And this was no comedy, you know.

So we had to make sure they look right, and it didn't look like. You know, the Soul Glow family from coming to America. You know? Yeah. Wow, this is.

So we're mostly fake. Mostly fake in the family. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Them dudes ain't had no real Jerry Curtis.

Now, we just got off. The zoom. With my dad. But Chris, you brought up a What about the top five father-son combos in sports the other day? Yes, sir.

And uh yeah, I think I'm gonna run through these real quick. At number five Now, I know this is going to be controversial, but I got good reasoning for it. At number five, I'm going to put the Ken Griffeys. Yes, I know that's low. I know they probably should be higher, but.

I hate baseball. Therefore, I'm showing respect by having them on there. It's your top five. Yes, exactly. Number four, I'm going to go the Thompsons.

Michael Thompson and Clay Thompson. Oh, okay. Michael Thompson, number one overall pick. Him and Clay got six championships between the two. I mean, it's Oakland and LA.

Yes, I know he was on the Blazers. Yes, I know he's on the Mavericks, but I'm talking about the good parts when they won championships. He did want to chip with the Blazers. Anyway, next, I have the Rhodes. Thanks, TJ.

Dusty and Cody Rhodes. That's a good one. I mean, like, my goodness, especially with Cody right now being the man over at WWE, there is no way you cannot put them on there. The Mannings, whether it's Archie and Peyton or Archie and Eli, there's no way. Mannings are synonymous with football.

It is what it is. And my number one. LeBron James and the Toronto Raptors. That's right, and the Toronto Raptors. LeBron has been the daddy of the Toronto Raptors four years.

46 and 16 record. Not to mention five championships between the father and son duo. But anyway, I got one more. Wait a second. Hold on.

Got one more. I need one more. Oh, the humble. All right, we'll get one, one more. Honorable mention, because there's no way I could do this by being a wrestling fan.

Ric Flair and Charlotte Flair. I know it's not a son. That's a good one. I mean, come on. The number of championships between them is what, 30?

You can't count that high. Anyway, guys, we'll be back from break. Or actually, no, I think this is the radio. Great job, O'Shea. Thank y'all.

Thank y'all. See you next week.

You could face a life-altering injury or even death, but... You're not the only one who could face those consequences.
