This is the Old Trailblazer broadcast. This is Pastor Albert Pendarvis, the Old Trailblazer riding out again on Old Dan blazing the path to the Hartzell Center. We're happy to be back with you.

It's Friday morning now, Dan. We've been out on the road all the week, laboring, getting out the gospel, sending out the message. Every time we get somewhere to stand around and listen, here at the Old Trailblazer used to visit the schoolhouse and the depot and the hunting camp and the logging camp.

We're just up and down the road bringing God's message here over the radio mostly now, over the internet, over Radio Missions Radio from here at the Radio Missions Church. And we're happy to be with you, the Old Trailblazer. Kind of weary a little bit this morning, but Dan, come on now. We'll be back at the home 24 long. All you truckers out there, you all know what I mean, get home on Friday afternoon, mama have a good supper cooked.

And me and Old Dan, we do the same way. We're just human beings, just poor old sinners, just like you are, only sometimes we say we're sinners saved by grace. So we bring into these studies on the second coming or the soon coming or the imminent coming of our blessed Lord, and we read that verse there into the Thessalonians. And in that 14th verse, we read, if we believe that Jesus died and wrote again, now my friend, that's the key to this whole verse. That's the only key you need, the first coming of Christ, His death on the cross, that's our substitute, His rising from the dead is our justifier.

That's simple and plain, isn't it? Any professor who can read and speak five different languages in both of his exalted knowledge and can't understand this scripture shows that he's spiritually blinded, never been born again, taking your money under false pretenses. In that 15th verse, the apostle Paul says, for this we say unto you by the word of the Lord.

That means by special revelation, the Lord Himself, the Lord God of heaven gave this knowledge to Paul by special revelation, but of course this learned professor, they deny the verbal inspiration of the Bible. I have folks call me and say, you can't believe this. My wife was a secretary to high school here years ago, and she had a college professor that was a teacher there, and they were sitting around the coffee table one morning, they got talking about the Bible, and this lady said, well, I don't know for sure how much of it you can believe.

And my wife told her, said, well, honey, you can believe every bit of it, every jot and every tittle, you can believe it because it's true. And I often make this statement here in my pulpit, this is God's word. I hold it up in my hand, on the front of it, it says Holy Bible, King James Version. I said, this is God's word, believe it and be saved. That's what it says, believe it and be saved. Paul told the Philippian jailer, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved. And I tell my folks here, believe it and be saved, disbelieve it and be lost. That's right, disbelieve it. You won't have God's word. The Bible says you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free. Set you free from what? From Satan's bondage.

Every one of us come into this world under Satan's bondage, asleep in his lap. I'm just an old country boy, I like to tell that oftentimes because that's what I was, just a country boy. And I didn't know anything back then, but I remember now, we'd be on the front porch late in the evening waiting for the cool off before we go in the house. My mother had girls younger than myself, babies, and she'd be rocking them, getting them to sleep, and she'd say, brother, come take sister in the house and put her to bed.

And boy, when you took her off of mama's breast, you'd have a wah, wah, wah. They don't want to give that up. That's just like Satan's got you in his lap.

He don't want to leave you, he don't want to let you go, and you don't want to let him go. You love this present evil world, that's what we do by nature, every man by nature. My friend, you're not no exception.

You're not an exception. You may be the high society lady or a highfalutin pastor, but you're not any different. You've got a heart that's wretched and deceived and depraved, just like the maniac there in Gadara. He was depraved, he didn't know what he was doing on. But listen, my friend, oh, the Lord God of Heaven gave this verbal inspiration of the Bible. What does that mean? I didn't know what that meant.

Verbal inspiration, that means the Lord spoke verbally to the disciples by the Holy Spirit, and they wrote down what he said. Oh, and therefore his exalted opinion over the word of God, that's what folks do. What a tragedy. What a tragedy to try to put there a little opinion.

Well, my opinion is, your opinion is not worth a grain of salt, my friend, not a word, not a bit. Listen, he says, we which are alive and remain under the coming of the Lord shall not prevent, and that word means proceed or go before them which are asleep when the Lord comes. Now listen, here's the order when the Lord comes.

Just listen now, maybe you've never heard this before. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout. Yes, the Lord God of Heaven. Not somebody else, not a representative, not an angel, no, but the Lord himself shall leave heaven's height with a shout.

One of these days, and I believe it's not going to be long, I tell folks, old Trailblazer, I believe I'll be living. The Lord Jesus shall lay aside his priestly robes, deck himself with the robe of a bridegroom, and when he does, he'll descend from heaven with a shout. A shout of victory, a shout of joy, a shout of victory that every one of God's elect that Christ died for has been called out and saved. He hadn't lost a one.

No, sir, he hadn't lost a one. Then it's a shout of joy. He's coming for his own, coming for his bride, those redeemed with his own precious blood. Every hypocrite will be left behind, my friend.

Every modernist will be left behind. Every one who has despised and belittled the Lord will be left behind when he comes. He says here he will descend not only with a shout, but with the voice of the archangel, that is, old Michael.

We know Michael, don't we? He's the archangel. He will also descend with the trump of God. So Christ comes from heaven, shouting with Michael, following him, shouting with the trump of God, announcing his coming. We have a lot of fanfare here when some potentate enters this country and they meet him and all of those things. But, you know, that's all fleshly, isn't it?

That's all flesh. Let me tell you a little story I read not long ago. This missionary couple had been over somewhere in Africa or somewhere for all their lives, and they come home. Big old tour ship come from over there. And when they come home, they docked in New York City, and they had a big old band and a big crowd waiting for them down there and all on the shore.

And the band was, trumpets was playing, and all of a sudden, all of the big high society people that was on the boat got off, and the crowd met them and cheering, and the band was playing, and the trumpets was blowing in the fanfare. And this old couple was stood there by the, by waiting to go off, and all that bunch marched off down to town hall somewhere. And the old man, great old elderly old man, and the old lady, and she said, Well, honey, darling, nobody here to welcome us.

Nobody here. Left alone, standing on the deck of that old ship. She said, Nobody here to welcome us?

He looked at her, tears rolling down. He said, Darling, we're not home yet. We're not home yet. Isn't that great? Isn't that a great story?

I read that somewhere. We're not home yet. You and I are not home yet, my friend. Listen, so Christ comes from heaven shouting with Michael the archangel. The first thing that happens is that the dead in Christ shall rise first. Everyone who has died in the Lord up to that very moment, their bodies shall be raised. Everyone whose body rests in this old earth of ours, in the sea, or in the morgue somewhere, shall be raised, and them which are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord shall be changed. We shall receive our new bodies without dying. Paul says in the first letter to the Corinthians that it will happen in the twinkling of an eye. Then those who are raised from the dead, and the living believers who are changed, are translated, and who receive their new bodies without dying, shall be caught up together in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. What a day of rejoicing that will be!

What a moment! The moment that every born-again believer is looking for, waiting for, that is, when our Lord from heaven shall appear. Then it says, we shall ever be with the Lord. Then he says, comfort ye one another with these words. He says to me, O tribblazer, you standing there with that open coffin in front of your pulpit, saints mourning over the loss of some dear soul, comfort their hearts with these words, that he's coming back. Our Lord's coming back.

Comfort one another with these words. The comfort of Christ to the human heart in its sorrows is his second coming. It's the place of repentance where you believe him. Listen, have you ever been brought to the place of repentance where you believed? We spoke there a while ago about ye shall believe.

Abraham believed, my friend. And he is your Savior and Lord. If you know him, then you're looking for him. If you're not looking for him, my friend, it's a good chance that you're not looking for him. Now, I don't mind being honest. I don't mind being sincere.

I don't mind being even cruel sometimes. But if you're not looking for the Lord in a measure, some measure, my friend, I don't set the terms, no, and you don't either. But if you're not anticipating, waiting, hungering, thirsting, longing, looking for our Lord, I don't mean standing out in the big road looking up in the sky. I don't mean that.

No, sir. But deep down in your bosom, there in the still of the night, in the cool of the evening, somewhere, somehow, you're looking. Looking for the Lord. Not looking for something fantastic to happen.

No, but you're listening for that shout. I don't know what it'll be. I don't have no idea what it'll be, but it'll be a shout, and the Lord will come with Michael. I hadn't thought much about Michael, but he'll be with the Lord and with the archangels, my friend, coming after us.

Oh, he's coming after us, coming after us. Those in the sea, I had folks call me the other day, a woman, said, Look, what about the cremation of a soul, of a body? It won't ever be here to go. Yes, ma'am. The Lord created it.

Start with it. He'll sure bring it back. What about those who died at sea and they throw them in the ocean?

They'll be back. Every body, my friend, every soul, every individual who knows the Lord will rise to meet the Lord in the air, because the Lord says so. I believe it, my friend. This is God's word that I hold in my hand.

You can believe it and be saved. Are you interested in your soul, my friend? Are you so taken up with this world, bound down by the things of this life, that you're not interested in your soul? What is your hope today?

The old trailblazer is interested, concerned about your soul, my friend. I can't even imagine going to hell, can you? I can't imagine you going to hell. I can't imagine you hearing those words. Depart from me.

I never knew you. Oh, I want you to hear those words. Enter in to my rest, my true and faithful child.

Oh, my friend. And I never speak of the rewards in heaven, but there'll be rewards, my friend. Someone told me one time, an old preacher told me, said, if I have any rewards, I want to throw them at the feet of my blessed Lord.

That's what I'd like to do. Hand them down to my blessed Lord. Now, we'll leave all that alone, my friend. That's all in it.

That's to come. The Lord knows all about it. The Lord knows our heart.

He knows what we are and who we are and how ignorant we are. Listen, folks, the old trailblazer will be back next week with another message from God's word. Call over the back fence Monday morning and tell somebody. The old trailblazer is on over here. Give him the radio station, the frequency, or the Internet, or the radio missions radio, and call me and get it to your list of those messages by the late Pastor Shelton and also the trailblazer.
