Welcome, fellow adventurers, to the Masculine Journey Joyride Podcast. This is a brand-new show from the guys you know.

I'm talking, of course, about the Band of Brothers. My name is Keith, and I'm the producer for Masculine Journey and Masculine Journey After Hours. In this podcast, you will hear funny stories, exchanges, and thought-provoking moments that will amuse you, make you smile, and draw you closer to Jesus Christ in your journey of life. It's 11 o'clock. Do you know where your children are? I told you last night.

No! Where is Bart, anyway? His dinner is getting all cold and meat and... Happy Father's Day to all the dads and fathers out there. What is a father? What does a father do? What is a father's role? He is a provider, a provider of levity and times of sorrow, a provider of answers to unasked questions because, hey, you may need to know this someday. He is a caregiver, as in he cares enough to give his family the things they need and not so much the things they want. I mean, does anyone need $70 jeans with holes already in them? I mean, where's the rest of the fabric?

What am I even paying for? He is a protector, a protector of family, home, and what's inside the home. The remote to the TV, for example, that's inside the home.

But why is it when I sit down to watch some TV, I can never find the remote? Which one of these kids hit the... Oh, there it is. He is a protector of the family's comfort. At least he tries to be, but for some reason people can't leave the thermostat alone. And who left the front door open?

I'm not air conditioning the entire neighborhood. So as you can see, a father plays many roles and wears different hats in the family. So Happy Father's Day, fellas. And remember, it's your day. So you should be allowed to have that tomahawk steak with a side of mashed potatoes.

And besides, your clutch roll isn't that high. Oh, that doctor doesn't know what he's talking about. I mean, I work hard all week long and I can't... That just speaks to me. It's just what I grew up with. That's who my dad is to me. He instilled that heritage in me, the love for God, the love for Christ. And he just put that into me a way that I want to bring it to my children.

And I shared this before the show with everyone and I'm going to try to get through it right now. But the main thing that my father taught me was just that unconditional love that our Heavenly Father brings to us because I am adopted. But this man sitting right next to me is my father. There's nowhere they can tell me he's not. When I was four or five, my biological father, and like I said, I use that loosely. He kind of walked out of my life. He abandoned me. He left a void in my life.

And this man right here stepped in. He adopted me. He gave me his last name and taught me what true love and what a Heavenly Father is all about because he brought me into his family. I never felt like anything different than his son.

He called me his son from day one. And that's what our Father does to us through Christ. And it's just a beautiful picture that I've been able to experience and been fortunate enough to experience on this earth to have the Father reveal that love to me in that way.

It's just very powerful. You know, and it's just, I don't know, I don't have any other words to really say for it, but I'm just thankful for who he was in my life and who he still is. Son, you don't know what you brought to my life, too. You taught me deep things, by your love, your presence, the spirit that you brought. God brought this together. And that's what he does with broken things because we're all broken. Where do we take it?

Until we take it to God, there's no true fix. So thank you. And I thank God for putting you in my life because my life is so much better with you in it.

And so that was almost breaking news on this radio show because we just learned about it like 15 minutes ago, 20 minutes ago. Because, you know, we just always, you know, this is my son, Chuck. And he is. He is your son.

Yes, he is. Exactly. And so, I mean, being around you guys, it's like you've been around each other your whole lives.

We have. You know, and definitely feel the Father-Son feel there. So it's awesome.

Got a little Harvey rest of the story there. You do. We do. Exactly. Exactly. With that blood of God that Christ brought in, that's the eternal family. The biological things, that's another temple thing. Just like all our roles on this side of heaven. Well, to the point there, not to jump in here too much, but, you know, you've got the clip supports that about going on and fathering people that aren't necessarily biologically related. That's what this ministry is about. I mean, we're trying to pass on what we've learned.

We've been fathered and we're trying to father others. Not like, oh, I've got all this. But, you know, you have so much perspective that you glean from others. Well, you want to share it.

A lot of times, I always be sharing with somebody and they're like, you can see the light bulb go off and they're like, oh, thank you. And I'm like, no, I'm just passing it on. I got that from somebody else, you know, so. Yeah, not an original thought in your head. No, not an original thought. So from the guys on Masculine Journey, I'm Keith, and we'll see you down the road. This is the Truth Network.
