So this week, the guys are all about movie clips. More specifically, the movie clips that God works through to your heart that live rent-free in your mind.
Well, Sam can articulate that better than I can.
So, the guys have a ton of clips to use, and some were sent in by you, the listeners. But due to time constraints, not everyone's clips can be played on the Masculine Journeyslash After Hours. That is where the Joyrod comes in. That's right, the Joyrod is going Hollywood. But not the you better have a lawyer and an alibi-type Hollywood.

So, our first clip is from Melvin and High Point. I'm a friend of Sierra Khanna. I was told that she's here. Could I see her, please? Can't see her.

I'll be back. Melvin wrote, The first time I saw Terminator was with my pop-pop and gam gam. But when my grandfather passed, Gam Gam would put the movie on so that we could both feel close to pop-pop. In fact, Gam Gam made it a habit to whenever she got up to go get a snack or something, she would turn around and look at me and in her best honorable voice she would say, I'll be back. In fact, the church where his funeral was held is the same church I got saved in.

So Adam wrote that this clip reminds him of John 14 1 through 6 when Jesus comforts his disciples before ascending back into heaven. It serves as a reminder that Jesus loves us and is always looking out for us and he has a plan for each of us.

You can't handle the truth. I remember watching that movie the first time. And that line was just so powerful. And At the time, I would quote it, or almost everybody walking around would, hey, tell me really what, well, you can't handle the truth. And we kind of make fun of it.
Well, now. as a father and a grandfather. Um There are often times when people will ask me, well, what do you think about? Or, da da da da, what do you, you know, what should I. And that quote comes back to me.
Now, I don't usually scream at them that they can't handle the truth. But it does go through my mind and I'm like, okay, how much of the truth can they handle right now? And what it brings me to is Jesus actually says this. I have much more to tell you. But you can't handle it right now.
I mean, he doesn't say it exactly like that. That's Darren's paraphrase. Jack Nicholson voice? It was the Jack Nicholson version of the scripture, yeah. But yeah, I mean, that's.
We're that way. People we deal with are that way. And I you know wisdom is trying to figure out What can a person handle?
Now, I'm not talking about deceiving people at all. I'm just. I used to be the guy that gave you the whole truth. And it usually, you know, people walked away screaming or throwing things at me or, you know, mad or man, I'm never asking that guy again, that sort of thing. I've matured a little bit.
A little bit. I agree. I think in getting older, And I'm the third oldest here, I think, in the group. But in getting older, well, it'd be Harold and you, then me. Um Yeah.
As I thought about arts a year younger than me. But yeah, yeah, I just look really bad. That's what it is. But no, as you get older, there's a weird thing that happens. You get more discerning.
But you just don't care. You know, and that's... That's a really weird thing to try to battle in your head. You're like, I'm just me, you know, and I've just got to say what I think. And, you know, I don't want to hurt anybody's feelings, but I don't want to pose either.
You know, it but you are I mean you're more discerning, but at some level you're just like, meh, whatever. That brings up about 37 clips from Fried Green Tomatoes. Yeah, it does. It does. Harold, what's some clips that you like really You remember and you go back to.
