Welcome to the Christian Car Guy Radio Show. Welcome this morning to the Christian Car Guy Radio Show. I tell you what, we're going to have an exciting show this morning. We're going to dive a little bit into auto parts and a little bit into the church body and also who we are. This morning, of course, Robbie is on the, I think it's the men camp with Nikita Koloff this weekend.
So be praying for them that God will bless their time there. So, and I'm filling in Jerry Mathis, Christian Body Shop Guy from Ray's Body Shop and Record Service. Also a reminder that this is a calling show. So if you have anything like to share with us or something that may make interest that you'd like to share or talk about that we start talking about at some point, please give us a call at 866-348-7884. Also a big shout out to Nick on the other side over here because he makes it happen on Saturday mornings. And we appreciate that for sure.
In the studio. And tell you what, I love it when I get these two guys in here with me because these are two of my favorite people and I'm gonna let them introduce themselves and then we're going to just jump right in. Let's start with Mark.
Mark Flint from Poems of Barbecue. And Mark, how long have y'all been in business? Since 1910, 115 years and blessed the good Lord above for it. We've been blessed.
Absolutely. A.C. Reynolds Jr. We were in business at Reynolds Garage and Record Service in all the parts 1941 and in 2012. You're riding on 25 acres of our property if you take the new I-74 at the University Bridge. We're going to name that bridge, the junkyard bridge.
Motor Company. Don't forget your daddy said it was not a junkyard. Exactly. He just he just frowned down at you and he heard you.
Yeah, I'll guarantee you. Yeah, he looked at me across his eyes. Yeah. I remember being and I think I probably shared this Virginia and probably Mark too. When I was probably in my teens and of course, you know, right we that we've been in business since 64. So we were buying parts from Reynolds Garage and used auto parts. And back then I was kind of young.
So I like to kind of poke the bear a little bit. I would go up there and get to the counter and always be writing a check to A.C. and I lean over and said Reynolds junkyard. He would it would light him up before he always said the junkyard is over there to landfill on Haynes Mill Road. But A.C. would say, say, yeah, the junkyards over there at the landfill.
Absolutely. And you know, and since this one, I didn't really think we'd talk about this. But since we just brought it up, you know, they don't have the they aren't those salvage yards, junkyards aren't the way they used to be. Because I can remember as a kid, I would just love to just go and just walk around and look at those cars then. And, you know, and they'd have the old muscle cars are back on the corners and and just just walk through there and stuff. And and I can remember that's one of the things that is probably in my 11, 12, 13 years old.
I remember one thing I did with Ray when my dad, you know, because that just just I don't know, just I don't know, just just neat thing to do. And that's that's one of the things that through time is kind of slipped away. Now they're there.
You know, you really can't go back there unless you pay to go back there. And cars are being crushed so quickly. They're all kind of stacked up. And it's just a whole different different thing. But man, it used to be a lot of fun. And you sometimes you would see something that, okay, when I grew up, I want that type car there, like the GTO or the car or whatever.
So you know, you got a first hand, look at items. And you see it all history repeats itself. And you see all these cars coming back now.
People are restoring them and bringing them back to life. Yep. And it's amazing. And if you ever heard of the Hemi engine in the Chrysler tri power carburetor are two carburetors on intake. I remember my dad having five of those engines in the motor barn was what we call it the motor bar. And they would say, they'd say, take $300 for it. And they say now if that is no good, but it's all together.
It's worth 12,000. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, we remember growing up and you had Reynolds garage on the north end of Winston Forsyth County. And then on south end that I just love to walk through and stuff was the business that Bob Young ended up buying that ended up changing the name to 109 was Parker's junkyard. There was one more down there. Well, L&M was there and then you had highway records. Yeah, highway records. Yeah. Man. That was just fun.
Now I'm thinking about it. I'm missing wasn't there one over when you went over there. Mike is going by. Oh, AT&T build and you take the left back down there like he's going over children's is back when children's is on. Well, yep, they used to be the one is dead man's curve. Yeah, I remember that records at that moment. That may have been highway records. Yeah, I just remember when I used to go that way to Richard shop when he'd moved over on gumtree. I'd go around that curve and there was that junkyard. If you didn't watch it, you'd be inside that little little building. Many have almost been inside that building. That's for sure.
Yeah. Well, this morning, one of the things I wanted to just touch on just and I think it's just kind of because the way society is now and, and there's so much bickering and it isn't just within, you know, just, it's sort of almost daily, we see some kind of segment, you know, either either the racial bickering, financial bickering, the political bickering, you know, it's just so much going on. And then really saddens me is when I start thinking about it, we also see that in the church. And part of it, you know what, I don't know why she's been kind of heavy on my heart lately, is so many churches also have, you know, sometimes I think the church can be its biggest enemy, because we kind of can drift away from the fact of God's Word is the blueprint and God's Word is true.
And it's accurate. And the Bible isn't something that we get to choose and pick which part of Scripture we like that makes us feel good. You know, what God's Word and the Bible and Scripture is the foundation of how we should live our lives and stuff. And you know what, when God calls it sin, it's sin, it doesn't matter the time we live in, where we live at the environment, whatever is culturally being accepted. If it's sin is still sin. As Christians, I think the biggest struggle, at least I'll speak for myself, is to make sure that you know what, we can call out sin, but we need to do it the way Christ did. We got to do it with compassion, but yet never waver from the fact of, you know what, right is right, wrong is wrong. And I think that's one of those lines has been blurred so much. I mean, you talk to the youth of this country and even inside the church, they don't really have a feel for what are absolute truths.
And what's alive, or what is sort of that they live almost because society tells them to live in that gray area. With our Christian walk, there really isn't a gray area. So I'm just gonna read that passage. And with this is one, First Corinthians 12.
This is one that everybody knows. And because it's so important to understand, you know, because also, as I'm sitting here, me and Mark and Junior, Nick on the other side, we've all got different, different gifts and different things about us. But yet we're all drawn together. One thing that binds us together, the one common thing is Jesus Christ.
And whenever we allow that to be the one thing that binds us together, then we can work as a unit. And that's what God wants us to do here on earth is that the church which is the church isn't about buildings. It isn't about denominations. It's about being a follower of Jesus Christ. So in First Corinthians, there is one body, but it has many parts, but all his parts make up one body.
It is the same with Christ. We were baptized by one Holy Spirit. And so we were formed into one body.
It didn't matter whether we were Jews or Gentiles, slaves or free people, we were all given the same spirit to drink. So the body is not made up of just one part. But it is that many parts, suppose the foot, I think I'm probably the first and I was like, I'm the hill. But suppose the foot says I am not a hand. So I don't belong to the body. By saying this, it cannot stop being part of the body. And suppose the ear says, I am not the eyes, so I don't belong to the body. By saying this, it can't stop being part of the body. If the whole body were an eye, how could it hear? If the whole body were an ear, how could it smell? God has placed each part of the body just as he wanted it to be. If all the parts were the same, how could there be a body?
As it is, there are many parts, but there is also only one body. The eye cannot say to the hand, I don't need you. The head cannot say to the foot, I don't need you.
In fact, it is just the opposite. The parts of the body that seem to be weaker are the ones that cannot get what we cannot do without. The parts that we think is less important, we treat with special honor.
The private parts aren't shown, but they are treated with special care. We'll finish that up when we get back. Again, Christian Card Guy Radio, call in show 866. You're listening to the Truth Network and truthnetwork.com. Welcome back to Christian Card Guy Radio. I'm Jerry Mathis.
And again, this is a call-in show at 866-348-7884. We'd love to hear your comments. But as we were saying, talking about one body and the body of Christ and stuff and kind of finish that passage up. But God has to put together all the parts of the body and has given more honor to the parts that don't have any. In that way, the parts of the body will not take sides.
All of them will take care of one another. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it. If one part is honored, every part shares with this joy. Guys, when I sit there and I read that, it just kind of, you know, just reinforces I mean, we all have different talents. And also, we all have different skill sets.
And we have sometimes it, you know, I think we kind of lose sight of sometimes we have different passions. But if we can keep it all under the same umbrella of Jesus Christ, and where was the, you know, there's a couple of passages that just talk about that is how you know, where Christ is the head, everything is kind of connected, that body is connected to Christ. And as I said here this morning, I've got two guys that are really involved in their church.
And so I'm gonna throw out the question. What is your passion is church, I mean, because I think if you're going to a church, it's easy to go in, if you say, you know what, it's easy for me to sit on that back row and not really get plugged in. But man, if you're a follower of Jesus Christ, and you don't get plugged into your local church, man, you are missing so much. I mean, so much as this one part is, every part shares in its joy and the body wants to share the joy with with all its members.
Mark, I know you're involved and I know we've been involved with youth and everything else. It can be a little bit I mean, I really enjoy being there because it's the involvement with the church is always good to be the fellowship, be talking about the Lord and what the Lord doing with all the fellowship going on. And not just necessarily that, but meeting new people, greeting new people and just glad to have them come in. And, and like, we have a Bible means Bible study on Wednesday nights, and it's really great to get together and, and listen, talk about God's Word and just get involved and, and make sure to keep that that fire going for Jesus Christ. And I think about the Bible study stuff in that community. I mean, the value that I have in that because I have a group of guys, I mean, have a great Sunday school class and then by church body, I love it. Probably one of my favorite things is on Wednesday mornings, we get together for a group of guys at a mega house in Winston for breakfast, fellowship and devotion time. And these are guys, it's anywhere from 12 to 20 every Wednesday morning. But these are guys that I can call on for anything just like you guys, I can call on you for anything.
So, you know, it is if I'm struggling for some time, a bad season, I just need to bounce something off of, you know, it's just something that we need. That's what God, you know, God created us to for fellowship and community. And sometimes we neglect that, especially men.
I think we neglected pretty easily. But I just encourage people to make sure they get plugged in and find that you talk about parts. I mean, you think about that, too, as far as everybody's, like you say, got special talents and all, but it's just, people have got different parts of ideas and to about Jesus Christ, and it's always nice to talk to people like being here on the show that I mean, learn a whole lot just by this of the finding out different parts of what people's ideas are with Jesus Christ. Yeah, absolutely.
And something that opened your eyes that you probably thought, Well, I never thought about that. Yeah. And Junior, I know you're here juniors involved in something that thank goodness. No. I mean, if I would if I would get involved what Junior is the part that he plays in this church local church, I would run people out the door because it's on the musical side.
And say being I'm his neighbor, I'm Thank goodness, it leaves his windows down wise practice. Well it's just the gift. I don't know. I don't know why the Lord gave me that gift.
But to play music without reading music and understanding it, getting the theory of each instrument that I play, and understanding them. But I know he's called me to do this. I know that.
If not, he was done took me out. And our church is really gifted. We've got grief care, where if some of this happened in your family lost a loved one, we got that not open just to the church people, but anyone.
And we have the shoe box for the kids overseas, we do food wrapping and all. But Jerry, you hit on something here and I want to read this. You know, Christians believe one word that they need to keep all the time and it's the truth. And it's in that book you're carrying around. That's the truth.
If anybody challenges that, don't debate it, just read it to them. But when you're talking about the arms, legs and all this, I want to say, read this that I found. And it says it wasn't an accident. You were deliberately planned, specifically gifted, and lovingly positioned on this earth by the master creator. You are the only person on earth who can use your ability and that ability is what he's to do, if it's nothing but to set the back row.
So you catch the visitors going out and say, Hey, my name is john, glad to have you with you and your name and take your little pats for you. Write that name day because if I hate you know, you need you need a big bread to just do it, but just keep focused on the word. And in the in the truth of the word is, God does not make a mistake. You know, if you don't think you're pretty, look in the mirror because he made you and I don't think you made you made you pretty because you made it made you after him. And I know we don't have a ugly God.
No, he's not there. But and he just is wonderful to live in the creation that has truth. And I think it's a little bit I'm a veteran.
But that don't mean nothing. But the whole lot that Christian made the whole day, we would not have this freedom if it wasn't people like you to fight for. Well, he brought me through that. And I'm so pleased that that he brought me through what I've been through. It's a long story when you got time for that.
But one day we'll get to it. Again, this is a calling show 866-348-7884. We'd love for you to call and tell us how God is using you in the body of Christ.
I mean, everybody has a story just like Mark does, like Junior does. Welcome back to Christian Card God Radio again. We were talking about being part of the body and how God makes everything work to the good and that makes everything work together. How you know what every every church, every body, every organization needs different aspects of it for it to work properly and stuff in Christ.
That's what he laid out in that scripture in First Corinthians. It made me think about an automobile since this is Christian car guy radio. I think about an automobile. And this is one thing that a lot of people don't even realize that the vehicle they drive around how some parts of that vehicle or things that you don't even think much about, but for the integrity of it for the safety of it, you know, well, Mark may know and Junior probably knows but used to be it was a time where the windshield didn't play much of a factor on the integrity of the vehicle. But now, the windshield is a huge part of the safety of the vehicle because it is kind of with these new metals and, and the new construction and with these crash zones, a windshield if it's not properly put in, can cause damage in the cabin, the driver's cabin, the vehicle because it all relies on everything working properly.
Same thing. When panels if you don't, you know, in the body shop business, there's a lot of ways to put panels on very few framed vehicles now besides trucks, most are unitized bodies, and stuff. And if you were to put a panel just a small panel on a unitized body, let's just say a little piece of an apron. And if it's not put on properly, it just kills the integrity of that whole structure. And you get hit because of crush zones.
It'll transfer that damage back into the driver's compartment and stuff. So the other surface design where it all has to work together. And when I started thinking about that, and that makes me think about, you know, there's just the body of Christ and stuff, how important it is that we all work together and know that purpose is, I'm gonna read that one pass another passage out of Ephesians 415 to 16. This is where Mark brought it up, how Christ is the head of speaking the truth and love, we will grow to become in every aspect, the mature body of him who is the head that is Christ.
From him, the whole body is joined and held together by every supporting ligament, growings builds itself up in love, as each part does its part. We're all called to do our part the same thing is with the body of Christ, the same thing with the automobile. Everything has a specific part. And as I said here, and I think probably one of the things that I always had Mark sitting here, so I'm going to share this whenever I talk to anybody and anybody talks about podiums. One of the things they talk about part of that body of that hot dog is the way it's prepped. They're all you know, that that bun is toasted, buttered and toasted.
And is there a reason for that, Mark? It makes it good. Yeah, it's just, you know, that's just the way john did it when he got started with it.
He came up with the idea of a toasted bun and it, you know, one of the things like Jesus Christ just makes it good. Yeah, absolutely. And, and Junior, which is the towing industry and stuff, the same thing, whenever that that truck comes up and is recovering a vehicle, everything has to work that the operator, the vehicle has to work properly. And you can speak on that. I mean, you, you are up to your eyeballs in the towing industry for many years.
You got first thing you got to realize what you're doing here. You're moving weight. That's what you're moving. So you got to know all aspects of weight of the car or the truck that you're moving. And you got a way we handled it in the rec associates is we had to respond, recover and relocate.
That's three things we had to have on our mind. And that's taking the right equipment to get the job done in the safe time of it. And, you know, nobody wants you to have a wreck.
Nobody wants you to get stuck in the snow and things like that. We just have to be same thing with with the Lord, we got to know his word. So when we out there, you know, if we don't know the answer to that, don't give up just tell the person I'll get an answer and get back with it. Somebody can answer that for you.
That's why he was the toy business. You don't think you can do it. Don't leave the scene. Just get somebody happy. And that Bible happy, Florida. Happy. And we're happy.
Anybody will help me. Yeah, absolutely. They see saying that it's a whole lot to if you think about it, you think about your tires on your car, you're going to have to keep those tires to the capacity of the air that needs to be in them or they're going to wear wrong and go by it.
So therefore, if you take yourself in reference to that, and you feel as though you're down and wearing out the Bible is your compressor to help you get back in line to where you need to do to be and not be wearing yourself down. Yeah. And also know that you that that is like the automobile it counts on other pieces to be you know, you can have a set of tires just lay in there. Unless it has the other components that form the vehicle. They're just four, four round pieces of rubber or some form of rubber.
Yeah, you know, and the same thing with you know, with the towing, you can have a truck that has all the equipment on if you don't have somebody to operate, who knows how to use it, make it all work together. It's just it's just a piece of metal. And they're looking at it.
There's nothing you can do. Yeah, you've got to be prepared is what you got to be go into Pulliams this afternoon and you look over there and they've got your dogs and your buns and your your slaw and your chili and all these stuff over there. You got barbecue over here. All it is is just the individual stuff. But till they all come together. People don't come in there and just they come in there to get what that end product is where all the pieces come together to be what it is. And I think sometimes in the body of Christ is sort of we can also forget how maybe we're that part that needs to be plugged in for the local church or a Christian organization. You know, you think that I don't bring that much to the table. I mean, you know what if somebody likes chili something they love, and the chili isn't on the hot dog.
It's not as good as they think it's but if they love slaw and the slaws left off, they're disappointed. If all together it makes a great product all together, we are able to contribute to the body of Christ. And I think what we need to do is continue to push ourselves and try to see where God gave us all a gift.
Where can I be used at? Yeah, we've been talking about me a lot, but about you as far as raised body shop mall goes when I come down there. I mean, we've got the guys preparing damage to the cars to make all those components back strong again to where they should be. And that's the way it is with the Lord Christ, Jesus Christ, you get all these components to get the strength back within you to spiritually and whatnot to to to keep yourself going and and praising the Lord for it.
Yeah, don't be optimistic. Don't be down in yourself, you know, a lot of people down their selves so much know that is every every every one of us are important part of the body of Christ. Everyone knows, we got a job to do. We know we got a job to do. We just need to do it and do it more often.
Absolutely. And I'm going to take just a moment to mention I think you guys are aware of it. One of the things that we do through Christian car guy radio is Jesus labor of love, which is where used to be just widows and single moms. And it's kind of expanded out some but still the same need there. We all know the importance of an automobile.
I mean, we know how much we count on them. And society has changed so much. Our culture has changed so much I can remember when I was growing up. Ray had a body shop, but yeah, we had one car and bout everywhere mom took us was somewhere that was close enough we could walk because we didn't have a vehicle to get there and stuff. But now the society we live in, you almost have to have a car.
I mean, you just you just bout can't function without it. Well, some of these families that we're able to help through Jesus labor of love or moms. And so many times it's these moms are taking care of a child that has special needs or has health problems, and either has to get to work to be able to support that family or has to be able to get that child to the doctor and to therapy and stuff. And then all of a sudden, they're they're facing reality of not having a vehicle. And that is a hard thing.
And it's hard to understand unless you can put yourself in that position. So the Jesus labor of love is a great opportunity. And if you're hearing hearing this on the radio this this this morning, I mean, there's a couple opportunities you can go to the Christian Car Guy radio and there's a there's a link that have Lin Lin lead you over to Jesus labor of love you can donate monetarily donate money. If you have a vehicle, it's amazing how many vehicles we get not get given to us.
And I'm gonna say a huge amount. There's always more need than there is supplies. But God always does seem to supply when there's a special need and stuff. So you have a vehicle that's sitting out there in your way that's that's that's gonna be serviceable, even if it can't be we can do something with it, at least, you know, turn it into cash somehow or try to get it going and get somebody transportation because that little bitty thing means so much to so many people an opportunity that also is go on there and sign up for the prayer team because one of the most of the most important thing we do, and Scott does this and Robbie does it does a great job of it is pray with the people that call in and ask them for help. But one thing they need to know is somebody cares about it. More importantly, Jesus Christ cares for you. You're listening to the truth network and truthnetwork.com. Welcome back to Christian car guy radio.
I'm Jerry Mathis raised by the shop and record service in the studio with Mark and Jr. And also on the line we have Mrs. J from Greensboro. How you doing this morning? How are you?
I am doing wonderful. I hope that Robbie and them are doing this thing. They're man thing. I guarantee you they are. I bet they're having a blast. I bet you God is their knee deep in God. I'll tell you that. Well, you know, as a body part in there, standing in the body of Christ, I believe that I stand for his truth.
And I don't know no matter what church I go to where I'm going, it's always going to be about standing in righteousness about his truth. So I will put a little acronym I put together with T period, G period, O period, A period, T period. The world looks at it as the GOAT. They call it the greatest thing that was ever done. But God really is the greatest.
And these acronyms, these, it says the T period, G period, O period, A period, T period stands for the, the God of all truth. So I stand in truth and representing him as an ambassador. And I can't stand somewhere for a long time that don't have that righteousness in that too, because it will still have to come through. Amen.
So that's my thing. You know, I'm anywhere I'm going. And people don't necessarily want to see me coming all the time. But um, but I'm always going to bring his love and his truth. But standing in righteousness of his truth is where I'm at in the body of Christ. Amen. Because I think too many times we we allow ourselves as Christians to not turn our back on the truth, but also to kind of sink into the shadows, if I may say and that kind of like I don't want to be the one that I don't want to be the one to say anything. But you know what God tells us, he gives us example we need to do it in love and compassion that he showed. But also we need to stand firm on the truth. You're absolutely right. Absolutely.
Also, it's like, um, my opinion don't really mean jack about anybody. So it's really God's truth that's gonna set them free. You know, I can give him my really love. But when it comes to standing and saying the right thing, you will never go on when you open your mouth will be a mouthpiece for him. When you're a mouthpiece for the Lord, you can never go on.
Absolutely. Jay, thank you for calling in. And one thing I must say one, because I know you're out there, you put yourself out there.
And I say this multiple times, and I kind of have to my wife has one has remind me of this so many times. You know what, if we do the right thing, we don't have to worry about defending ourselves. God will defend us and always will.
And then and that's that's something I have to kind of remind myself sometimes it's not about me defending what I think if I'm right, and I'm standing by God's truth, then he'll defend me. Amen. Amen. Amen.
Well, this is Jay, you have a wonderful theory. I feel God more than I feel man. All right, I guarantee you, at least we better.
We should. Appreciate you calling in. And again, man, have a great weekend and enjoy tomorrow. You worship Jesus. Well, one of the things that about church that I think is that I've also think has slipped and Mark Junior, you see it in your your churches, I see it at Pinedale, where there's great churches are a great opportunity where so many times, families don't use as an opportunity to do it as a family and stuff because I mean, now I mean, it kind of, it's just the culture we live in. Again, I go back to talk about transportation. I mean, some days at church, we have three cars, because everybody's on a different schedule.
We're not spending time together. It's just go to church. And sometimes we just pass it me and my will pass in the hall or in the foyer or something. You know what, it's a great opportunity for us to also use that as bonding time. Bond us as a family with Jesus Christ, but also as a family together.
And I don't know if everybody agrees with that. But I think sometimes we allow the church to kind of, we don't take the opportunity that we have to, to be able to share as a family. Well, you know, I've often wondered about this.
You're on the survey. People come to our church, they got children, they raise them up in our church. The next thing you see is, well, they're getting married or going off to college or something like that. And then you don't see them once they finish that venture.
You don't see that child. Maybe everyone's from a Mother's Day, Father's Day, something going on at the church. What you do is you pray for that family, that by them not being there, there's some words else with their gift that they may have known about it, or they may not. But I was raised in church with a family. We always went to church as a family.
Yes, when I got married or overseas. Yeah, you sort of get away from that, you know. But God's always around you. Even in Vietnam. I was a bit sergeant. And we had a chaplain who was a Catholic.
And I was over 12 men could myself in 11 minutes with it was either didn't have a faith, or they were Catholic. And you went by your dog checks. And they always give us the Lord's Supper. Once we were going out. Well, when he got to me, he looked at my dog tag. And this is why I say God was always with me. He pulled it out and he said, Oh, you're a Baptist little guy. And I said, Yeah, because it had Baptist on his face. He said, Well, we'll do yours that way. So that was letting me know, you know, God's with he's taking care of me.
And, you know, often just think about that, that he is with me. And I had a Bible that come from my uncle who was a pastor, and prayed for me before we left over there. And then I had another Bible from this, I believe, the Salvation Army, when I left here was the run out of black ones, and they gave me a baby blue one. I still got that baby blue.
I know what happened to the black. But I still got, you know, the thing is what you just mentioned about being in Vietnam and stuff. And today, and every day that that Williams is open. I mean, it's an opportunity, God doesn't necessarily have to send us somewhere to be able to share the gospel. God doesn't necessarily have to send us across the pond, to be a missionary, because sometimes we will really not sometimes we always have that opportunity right in our own doorsteps and stuff. Mark, you think I mean, think I'm off base in that because I know is running a business is kind of at where you say, Well, I got to make sure to want people to think that I'm using that to my benefit as far as a business goes, or I don't want to think I'm being too pushy on it. But yeah, every opportunity we get, we share the gospel.
That's right. We sure do. Yeah, I'm I'm more than happy to share the gospel with anybody that really, you know, even if they don't, I mean, it's a shame in this day and time that you have to really be careful about what you say, what people you say it to, because they, they're just non believers. And it's just you can't get beyond that heart that rough skin of theirs to believe, no matter how many times you may try to get in there inside of them and say, you know, we'll be more happy for you to be, you know, come to come to my church and see what you know. Yeah, we don't we don't have we never know, you know, sometimes we think we have to know that magical verse or that magical piece of scripture or what to say to somebody, you know what, if we just reflect Jesus Christ, that may be all it takes. And and so many times, I think we we try to make it harder than it is.
And as I said, the culture we have anymore is kind of where we do have to kind of you kind of afraid to say anything because even as you mentioned, you talked about kids going away and not being involved in church and stuff. You know, when we grew up, you didn't have to worry about I played sports, I never had to even think about Wednesday nights and Sundays. It just what you just did not do sports school systems, a you were back then it was wreck ball and all that stuff.
You never did events on Wednesday nights because that was church night and Sunday was church day. Right. And now it's a whole different environment these kids are growing up in. I mean, there's that pressure.
I mean, it's seven days a week. Well, I tell you what, I cannot believe it. We are gone.
Our time is gone. Again, I'm going to I'm going to close out by reading one passage from Romans. Just as each of us has one body with many parts, these members do not all have the same function. So in Christ, through many, though many forms of one body, each member belongs to each other and others, we need to make sure that we become part of the body of Christ. And again, man, get with your family, go do things I love to go.
