This is the Truth Network Welcome to the Christian Car Guy Radio Show. I say this calls for action and now! Bless it be your name. You give and take away. You give and take away. My heart will choose to save. Lord, bless it be your name. God, you give and take away. Oh, you give and take away. One hundred Thanksgivings today on the Christian Car Guy Show.
Oh, we're going to have fun with this. One hundred, one hundred Thanksgivings. And of course, that was Matt Redmond. He does those Passion Conferences with the youth, which is just amazing. And he did both of those songs about blessing, right? And so you might guess that Thanksgiving may have something to do with blessing.
And by all means, it does. And I have my good friend, Jerry Mathis with Raised Body Shop Records Service here with me. So very fun to do this show today, because I'm not going to be here next week.
I have a boot camp. And so not getting a chance to do the Thanksgiving show, I thought, here we go. Here we go. God, you gave me all this. I got it firsthand. And so now you're going to get it.
So here's your question today. How do you receive a gift? I mean, when somebody gives you a gift, if you're like my wife, she screams at the top of her lungs, oh, and she just lights up. And believe me, when you give her something, you know you gave her a gift, right? And like, it's one of those unbelievable, utter joys to give my wife a gift or to watch the kids give her whatever.
That's the way she is. So how about giving gifts? I mean, so how do you feel if you thought and you planned for months, right?
Or maybe even years. You know, this perfect gift for someone, and you've been dreaming of how they would receive it. What would your expectation be of what their face is going to look like when they see it? But even more, how much will they cherish it and use it? And what exactly are they going to do with it? Well, the more I study the word blessing, which is barak in Hebrew, the more that I see that the way I can bless God is to receive and cherish.
I mean, literally, like, man, I'm excited. And then more than that, cherish and understand the heart of the giver, right? So the interesting thing that we got to learn that God gives us opportunity to do is to even receive those gifts that are wrapped in pain and frustration, right?
Or heartbreak, and quite tragically, often loss, right? I mean, He does give and take away. Yes, He gives life and He takes it away. He gives prosperity, He takes it away.
Perhaps more appealing, He gives heartbreak and He takes it away. Or He gives financial crisis and He takes that away. But interestingly, and to me, this is profoundly helpful, that there's a story told in Jewish history books that there was a plague in Jerusalem at the time of King David. It was killing a hundred people a day. And King David and his Torah scholars discovered a deeper meaning to Deuteronomy 10-12. And at a very careful study, if you go look at this in Hebrew, you will discover that there are a hundred letters in that particular verse. And the third word in the verse would be pronounced ma, but it could easily be pronounced ma, which would mean one hundred. Put that together with actually what the verse says, and now, Israel, this is what the Lord thy God requires of you. You see the hundred?
Perhaps you do. If you're the Lord the God, walk in all His ways and love Him and serve the Lord the God, walk in all His ways and love Him and serve the Lord the God with all thy heart and with all thy soul. But possibly to receive a hundred blessings and to receive them as blessings. So King David and his scholar devised a plan for the Jews to bless God one hundred times every day, and the plague stopped. And interestingly, the Jews actually, if you find a Hasidic Jew and ask them, do you guys bless God a hundred times a day? Oh, yes they do.
I mean, they still practice that. Because God's sending you, if you sit down and really count your blessings this morning, believe me, it will take you no time to realize, well, wait a minute, that breath I just took and oh my goodness, you know, I've got this wonderful car and I've got gas in it and it runs okay and, you know, there's just all over the place. But God knew, I mean, Paul knew that principle when he penned 1 Thessalonians 5, 18, right? In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. And of course, Philippians, we all know, 4, 6, and 7.
I hope we know. It's so helpful, right? It says, be careful for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your request, with thanksgiving, did you hear that? With thanksgiving, let your request be made known to God and the peace of God which passes all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. So this thanksgiving, you know, God has certainly challenged me, like, how can I receive his gifts, the good ones, and the seemingly, like, man, this is a situation right here. It looks tragic, it looks...but somehow or another, you know, I need to receive that, like, my wife receives a Christmas present. I'm like, all right, God, obviously you trust me a lot here.
Like, this is, you know, this is gonna be amazing. And so what I thought would be an interesting challenge for everybody today on the show is what challenging gift have you learned if you unwrapped it years later? I mean, at the time you received the gift, it looked like it was a bitter pill. But as you totally unwrapped it, you realized, like, oh my goodness, he gave and he took away, and thank goodness. The perfect example for me, being the Christian car guy, just telling you there would be no Christian car guy show today if he hadn't given and taken away. If you're familiar with my story a little bit, you may know I was the Chrysler dealer in Mocksville, North Carolina, been in the car business for 40 years.
And I had that dealership, and unfortunately, you know, my office manager began to withdraw lots of money, and the place went bankrupt. And so when it... That was a gift. Yeah, it was a gift. It was such a gift, it's unbelievable because I'm telling you, at the time, it was as tragic as it could be. People lost jobs, you know, we lost our house, we lost our cars, we lost everything. And those people close to me know what that was like. I mean, I couldn't even buy medicine for my wife and stuff like that. It was very difficult. However, like, man, God knew, he knew, that my heart was not meant to be a car dealer.
Like, I had nightmares for years and years and years, and I still occasionally will have one where I gotta sell one more car, I gotta make payroll, I gotta do whatever because God knew that this was ripping my heart out to do this type of work. And what did he have for me? Christian radio.
Okay. And so what I think, you know, the Jesus labor love, the Christian car guy show kingdom... Anybody that knows my life knows that all that stuff happened as a result of him literally extracting me.
He took away the dealership. Darrell Bock You know, Robby's saying that, and I'm sitting here, and one thing, I'm just at awe sometimes, just thinking about that story and stuff. And I think, you know, when you're in the middle of it, because outside looking in, sometimes I thought, you know what, Robby, man, he, you know, the dealership, he's impacting people through Christ. I mean, people come in and they, in a transition, transaction to buy an automobile, but they're also getting shown Jesus Christ. And I think, you know, man, in the business, I talk about that a lot, being in business and making sure that you do it through the perspective of Jesus Christ. Well, you were doing that. And I just, you know, all the people you touched, and I've talked to people over the years by still being in the business and stuff. I had somebody in my Sunday school class, we were talking, and he's talking to me about my first caravan was from Robby, and he tells me the story.
And he's a godly man. And I had no idea of the connection. But then, look at today, I mean, you're touching people that would never be able to be touched.
I mean, they were to do it in a small circle. All of a sudden, God opened up that, that window to the, to the world in so many ways. And, man, you know, as you said, it's a gift. I mean, when you're going, when we're going through a storm, and I've been through storms, and you think, man, God, what in the world, what in the world is the plan?
Because I don't see it. But then you see, well, you know what? God walked me through it for a reason. Yeah, buddy.
So about you, how about you? What was that gift that when you wrapped it, when you unwrapped it, finally, you began to see what it really was? Call us with your story. 866-348-7884. I'm really looking forward to these stories. 866-348-7884. The gift that keeps on giving.
You're listening to the Truth Network and truthnetwork.com. One hundred Thanksgivings. And today I'm looking for stories that you could share where you got a gift that it took a while to unwrap that thing and to realize how good it was.
And, oh, if we could just receive those gifts when we received them with Thanksgivings, like Paul advised in Philippians, right? We got Doug is in North Carolina. Doug, you got a story for us?
I'm dying to hear it. Oh, yeah. Hey, Robbie, I'm super busy and I love this radio station. And I love helping people. And the only reason I'm calling is to encourage people because I had a very bad experience in my life. I'm sure lots of people have. And this may not seem like a big deal.
But if you think about it a little bit, I think you'll start to realize what a nightmare this becomes. But for about four years, I had a mold problem in my house. And this is long before I knew about God. And I'm a licensed contractor.
And I know how to do a lot of things. It's almost nothing I can't do, quite honestly. And I thought I could fix it.
I thought I could figure it out. I just went on forever. It became a conversation where every night when I went to go with my life, what are we going to do about that smell every night? And then I start seeing signs in my life and things are happening. And it all culminates in this accident that I have.
We're almost dying a dirt bike wreck. I'm in the hospital for a week. And I asked God to give me a job where I could help people. Because I started to realize that all these things that I was seeing, I wish you had the time I could tell you so many things, but it just became evident God was real.
And while I thought I believed in God, and I was a Christian, I think I was more like most people who just really don't understand it at all. But through that experience, asking God for a job, I don't know, it was about a year later, I get this job from a company called Master Service Companies. And that company's not around anymore, so I'm not really trying to plug a company. But Master Service Companies, obviously, that the name caught my attention. I had no idea what I was getting myself into. But it turns out to be a job where you had to know a lot about mold and things like that.
And it was just more verification that there was a plan. And then I started looking at all these little things throughout my whole life, and all these times, and I was being turned and steered and didn't really realize it. Well now I have a relationship with Jesus, and it completely changes everything once you understand it. It has nothing to do with paying money or going places or donating, it's about a relationship with the man who created you, and valuing that more than most things, if not more than everything, which is really where you should be.
Now once you get there, you start to realize there's a lot of benefits to being in that relationship. I have a voice that speaks to me, and I'm not saying that to scare people or make people, you know. I'm telling you because you probably have a voice too. Oh yeah. And for me, the voice sounds like my voice.
Like kind of if you're driving around, you're like, yeah, I feel like having pizza. It's the same voice, but it's not me saying those things. And that happened to me in a clique. I'm in someone's house and I didn't see anything. I'm like, all right, that's it. And something says you're missing something. And I said out loud, what?
There's nothing here. And then I realized I'm crazy or I'm talking to something other than myself. And then I start realizing through all my life I've had this voice a couple of times, and then within the last year or two I start to realize all these great ideas I've had, all these times I thought, hey, I should park over here or I should do this, and it just worked out. I have a feeling a lot of that wasn't me at all. It was just me hearing the voice and not acknowledging. Yeah, yeah. And speaking to all of us, I believe. And if you just listen.
I think it's Elijah talks about it's a very soft voice, very quiet voice. I remember one time I'm in sales now and you rely, you relate to this, you rely a lot on money and transactions and I don't focus on money at all. I can promise you that 100%, but at the end of the day, that's what it boils down to because more you just have to be paid and things have to be dealt with. And I'm going through the holidays, this is about two years ago, and I haven't sold anything like in six weeks, nothing.
And I usually am one of the top performers in the country. So through this experience, I'm waiting for God's patience and I've got the holidays coming and all the money's being spent, all the things that are going on. I'm still donating and giving and doing all the things I always do, trusting God. And I'm laying in bed, this is now into January, and I said, Lord, you're making it really hard for me to make a strong case for you here because I'm speaking out loud to everyone I know, especially my family, how much I love you and how you care for us, and we don't have to worry about things.
And it's making it really hard to make this happen. And I laid there quietly. By the way, I just heard the message about Elijah, just like the two days before that, and I'm listening. And then something says, and it'd be all right. And I said, okay, when I got up, I went out on my day, Monday, sold a big job, everything worked out just great. And it just actually empowered me to tell an even stronger story about how the holidays were difficult.
Now you have to wait for God's timing. And it's just all the things that people hear throughout the radio station, which I love. You guys are attached to my emails. Anybody I meet, I tell them, you need to tune in, and you're going to find a, well, you don't have to thank me. I'm just trying to accelerate the process of helping people. And thanks for the time.
I really appreciate the opportunity. Darrell Bock Oh, Doug, that's what a powerful, but I have to ask what, since I got you, and you said you're missing one thing, what were you missing? When you're in that house and the Holy Spirit said you're missing.
Doug Smith Oh, that's a great point, Robbie. This is why you have the job you have, because that is a very compelling part of the whole story. And there's lots of other things, but this is actually very interesting. So I'm in this house, and I'm looking around, and I'm missing something. And I said, what? There's nothing here. Now I'm in a house with a basement door. People are right upstairs, and they hear me talking.
I'm short. So now I'm saying this to myself. There's nothing else here. And I point at this. I point at this.
There's this. There's stairs. There's a wash machine. There's a water heater. And then I look at the top of the water heater, and it has PEX tubing, which is just plastic tubing. And the tubing is a little bit scorched. And I'm like, well, that's not right.
And it's scorched equally on both sides. And I have a feeling I know what it is, but I'm not going to say, because it's really not my job. I just went upstairs. I took a picture.
That feeling goes away. I go do my inspection. I go upstairs, going through the pictures like I always do with the homeowner. And then I said, you see this right here? I think there's an issue.
You should probably have someone check your chimney or something. Well, she calls me the next day. Her name was Mickey and says, hey, I'm ready to get this taken care of. And I'm like, great.
You know, this is what I do every day. So it's nothing to me. She is. Well, aren't you interested in why? Well, yeah, Mickey, I'm curious.
Why is today the right day? You know, now I'm trying to pretend like I'm a salesperson. And she says, well, I called the chimney specialist and they said I had a 95 percent blockage on my chimney. Oh, my goodness.
So it was just a matter of time before people were, you know, carbon monoxide. Oh, my goodness. Well, I hate we got to go to a break, Doug. What a story. What a story. Thank you, my friend.
Another time, Robbie. Have a great day. God bless.
What's your story? 866-348-7884. 866-34-TRUTH. We'll be right back.
You're listening to the Truth Network and truthnetwork.com. 100 Thanksgivings. Again, today we are talking about those. Certainly, as you think about, you know, when you're going around the Thanksgiving table this year, a lot of people say, you know, I'm really thankful for, you know, a great year, a great financial blessing and all these things. Why don't you just kind of wow the people at the table and say, well, I'm really thankful that, man, I'm in the middle of this crisis. I'm really thankful that my, you know, best friend, you know, just whatever, you know. In other words.
You'll get everybody's attention in a hurry, that's for sure. But it's one thing to say it, but it's another thing to actually feel it. Like, I know that I know it's just as it says. I'm going to bless the name. My heart will choose to say blessed be your name. I know this is for my good. It is all things work together for good, right, for those who are called according to this purpose. And I know those things are happening.
And so what might you say? 866-348-7884. I would love to hear your story of that time that you saw what I'm talking about, that God was giving you something amazing, although it wasn't wrapped in the pursuit of wrapping.
866-348, that's the number to dial, by the way, which I expect to happen. Yeah, I know that people have some great stories out there. And you know what, just like Doug's story and your story, Robbie, so many times God gives us those, and we just kind of, that's not that interesting.
That doesn't have all the fireworks and all the glitter to it. But man, it can be powerful to somebody. There's a listener out there who needs to hear your story. Right.
866-348-7884. And speaking of a good story, as I was going over this with my wonderful, wonderful producer, Nick, he said, Are you talking about something like this? And then he shared this story.
And I said, Oh, well, ding, ding, ding, ding right on the nose. And so Nick, I would love for you, I really would love for you to share your Thanksgiving story. Yeah, so, um, so a little bit about me is that my, I was born, I was born the day before Thanksgiving, so I'm a Thanksgiving baby, you know, and so I had and I had a friend a few years ago. And, you know, we were good friends, you know, we called each other, you know, we were really best friends. And I hadn't had a lot of experiences with best friends, unfortunately. But, you know, with him, he was a really good friend. But, you know, it was my birthday a few years back.
And, you know, he really just told me on my birthday, just kind of I'm trying to think of a Christian way to say it, but he says not nice things from you on my birthday. And I did not talk to him, you know, after that ever again. And so, you know, once we stopped being best, once you start being friends, I was I was really hurt.
I was hurt a lot. And, you know, I did not have a good birthday, but it's all cool because I ended up, you know, having that strength and having that fire and to end me to continue on with school, too, because I was really on the verge of like being done with school, too. But, you know, once, you know, he got out of my life, you know, I finished school. I had the strength to finish school. I graduated. And now I'm here with you, Robbie. And, you know, I, I appreciate that I did not, you know, stay in that one place and stay in that sad place and just, you know, I was just in that dark place. I got out of that. I found my light and I continued on. And, you know, I'm happy where I am right now.
So it worked. Darrell Bock Yeah. He gives and he takes away. Right. And sometimes, I mean, you know, certainly anybody our age, Jerry, we've lost a parent.
Jerry Larkin Oh, absolutely. You know, and I'm thinking, first I want to say something about Nick's story. I mean, I think sometimes we don't understand that there's sometimes in our Christian walk, which may seem like collateral damage with our friends, because sometimes people don't see few things view life the same way you do as you as a follower of Jesus Christ. And especially if you've came out of relationships with friends and stuff who that wasn't part of it. And then all of a sudden, your whole whole take on life, and your relationship with Jesus Christ changes, there's people that that would just say no, push back on that.
And then they go into the criticize everything about your life. And you know what, there's collateral damage sometimes as a Christian not tell people that accept Christ later in life, not when I say later in life, I mean, even in their 20s and 30s, you know, there's going to be collateral damage with your friends on account of that make sure you're, you know, you got to stay in God's Word and know you walk with the creator of it all and he's going to get you through it. But it's tough when you're in the middle of it. It was we were because on the outside to everyone else, we seem like good friends. But on the inside, like behind closed doors, it looking back, it was a toxic friendship, unfortunately. I'm glad I got through it. Yeah. So what's your story?
866-348-7884, 866-348-7884. If you're like me, and you're a little bit older, you may have lost one or more of your parents, I've lost both of them. And, you know, the thing of it is, he does give and he takes away, he gave me some amazing parents, and he gave me some amazing times with my parents.
But he knows better than I do. I would have kept that going a lot longer than he did for my mother. She got cancer, very painful to watch her go downhill over a period of time. And she really, really, really suffered. If you ever, and I played it many times, the last time she called in the Christian Car Guy show, she was on morphine. And you can hear in her voice, you know, and she's struggling. And so when he took her life away.
Robbie, it was always a joy when your mom called in and stuff, and she would always, she'd tell the stories of you in the yellow pants or whatever it may be. And wow. Yeah. So, but at the time, she didn't suffer anymore. He knew the time that that had to go. And so he didn't start sin and all the stuff that would cause all the disease and whatever, but there comes a point that like, man, I didn't want, I couldn't stand to watch her suffer like that anymore.
And that was the same way with my father. He'd broken his neck and whatever. And at some point in time, he just shriveled and he was in constant pain, constant struggle.
And at some point, he wasn't in that pain anymore. And as a Christian, when we can focus on God's promise and it's not our joyful life, oh, he's here on earth. His promise is joy and then complete bliss in heaven with him.
That's what our goal should be and stuff. And you talk about your mom and I think about my mom, she's got Alzheimer's and stuff, and it's sad going over it. And cause I mean, in some ways I've lost her years ago and, but she's happy and content so I can be happy with that. And I know that we're eternity. She's going to spend it now with Ray, my dad, you know, it was a, we had a troublesome right time, but then at the end, I can say that I know that he knew Jesus Christ and I knew that I could tell him that, you know, God gave God, he was nonresponsive. And then God gave, blessed me with a glimpse of him being able to just out of the blue, to be able to communicate and respond to me and me telling him I forgive him and him to tell me he loves me. And, and you know what, that was end of the day, God works it out. If we can just be faithful and, and sometimes, sometimes his working it out is, it's a hard journey.
Darrell Bock Well, and it seems like, you know, it certainly was a frustration for years and years and years and years and years. But at the end of the story, you know, he put an exclamation point on, he's good. He's good. So I know you've got a story out there. We want to hear it.
Believe me. I, you know, if I so appreciate Doug's story, and I know you have one, I would love it. 866-348-7884. As Jerry said, you have no idea the people that might be going through something like that right now that you could encourage, you know, with what you've seen.
866-348-7884. You know, the whole reason that I delve into this this morning, a lot of these thoughts, I, you know, the whole story of King David and whatever, I learned that this morning, that was fresh, was that at the end of the third psalm, and my brother had given me this psalm this week, he said, the Lord has this psalm for you, Robbie, because he knew some of the things I was going through right now. And at the end of the third psalm, you know, at the beginning, King David's in a big problem.
His son Absalom, this is his son, has risen up against him and, you know, done horrible things with his wife, wives on the roof of his house and, you know, wants to kill him and take the kingdom, and all these people are chasing after King David. Look at the last verse, and interestingly, if you translate it the way the Jews translate it, it's completely different than you'll find in any Christian Bible I could find. But the beauty of the translation in Hebrew is that it says that salvation is incumbent on God, but the blessing is incumbent on man. In other words, God's going to send it, but we've got to bless him to know that it's coming, and then he says selah, which means a whole lot we might get into on the other side of this. But nonetheless, we're to give thanks, just like Paul said. We'll be right back. Darrell Bock 100 thanksgivings today on The Christian Car Guy Show.
So, you know, this Thanksgiving is you're sitting around the table, but what about that present that wasn't so prettily wrapped? But you've got a great quote for us, Jared. Jared Yeah. Chick Plunkett shared this Sunday with me, and I had him send it to me because I said, man, this is really powerful when you think about it, and here's the quote. It says, Jared What if the good life doesn't come from your ability to do what you want, but from having the ability to do what God made you for? Me and Robbie were talking, and I said, You know what? I'm so grateful. Thank you, Jesus, because if I had the ability to do what I want, man, my life would be upside down.
I mean, God is good. Darrell Bock He is. Well, we got Jane is in Mocksville. I'm very excited for your story, Jane.
What have you got for us? Jane Well, first of all, it's not Jane. It's Jan. Darrell Bock Oh, it's Jan. Oh, that. Well, I like that. I happen to know a Jan in Mocksville, so that makes sense.
Jane Okay. And I want to tell you that I received the first name for my dad's car that I had bought one year after he died. And this is the way God works. Today was 28 years ago that he died. I called in and wanted a name for the 98 Cadillac sedan Deville DeElegance, gold trim, pearlized white diamond paint.
And today was 28 years ago that he died. And you gave me the name Arthur Ted Dyer for his car's name. And I said, No, I argued with you. All I heard was the Ted. I didn't hear the author. I just heard the Ted. I said, No, because the Ted I knew.
I didn't know how to appreciate it that time. But I'm telling you what's the truth. I just now got the certificate out. And it said Arthur Ted Dyer. Well, I did learn that Teddy Dyer was president. He was Teddy Roosevelt. Teddy Roosevelt was president.
And he went all over the United States, trying to put I mean, the way the Southwest putting National Park and my son now lives out in Kit Carson National Park. That's right. Yep. And so anyway, but the author is my husband, Harold is King Arthur's knight. He's my knight in shining armor. And now I'm calling him and he's my hero. And I'm calling him my Jesus man. And a lot of that has to do with the fact that I have been tutored by a fine Christian car guy for the last 10 years at the Brock Performing Arts building.
First door on the right when you come up the ramp. I'm telling you, God is so good. I see his goodness everywhere I turn. And the fact that today was the day that my brother, my dad had died.
But here's the other thing. He was 80 and a half and I had brought him through. He lived in Charlottesville, Alabama, which is where I was born reared. And I brought him up here to see if he could live with me.
Because mother had been passed like nine years before. So we came by his brother's house, Uncle Herbert, which I say is like Hebrews. And my dad's name was James. And I say he's got they both got their books in the Bible.
But forgive the webbing, because that's what I do as a teacher, everything connects. But he we passed on to Herb's house, and he was 83 and in very poor condition. My dad said, Well, Herbert probably dead by the time we come back because we were going to go back after Thanksgiving.
He was going to stay up here 11 days, which is the longest he'd ever been anywhere out of shoulders bird to see if he could live up here with us. Ironically, no, no, nothing is ironically, God knows every detail of our lives. And I go back to Psalm 139 about that, because that tells everybody you've got a personal message from God. But we got through Atlanta. And this first time I had driven through Atlanta in 22 years when we had moved up to Mottville, North Carolina from Columbus, Mississippi.
I got through Atlanta, and I called Harold, I stopped and called Harold on the phone. And I said, Dad said you're doing good. And my dad loved me. I can't say that he and my mom had the best relationship. But he loved his second wife, me, which was from his first wife. So in November 16, 28 years ago, and the Lord took him away. But not until the next morning, I was in the car, he was in the car with me alone, coming through Atlanta. But we weren't in his DeElegance. We were in his Ford, Crown Dick. He had gone to buy Cadillac and he wouldn't let go of the money.
So we were in a Crown Dick that he had just bought Ford. And so no, the next morning, we went to bed. Caleb had been born, my grandson had been born November the 1st. And he came up here to see Caleb and to spend time with us. And he and Brad and Carol were going to watch the Carolina ballgame the next day.
So he didn't see Caleb. But the next morning, I woke up, both of us woke up, and back to back our master bedroom and bath, the other bath. I heard a thump and I go in there and my dad has had a heart attack and his head was facing out and was lodged between the back of the commode tank and the wall. And I said, Thank you God, this didn't happen yesterday when I was on the road with it.
You've got me here so my protector can take care. And so Carol came on, you know, what's wrong? And he called the ambulance and everything was taken care of. I have seen every step every step of our lives has been orchestrated by God.
I married a most wonderful Christian man that was tutored by his grandmother and his mother Grace. So that's quite a story, Jen. Unfortunately, we're bowed out of time. But you did good. You got us though. I'm glad that I, you know, so but you're exactly right.
But he continued. Well, of course, of course, because someday that's good. You know, he's going to take us away too. And we get to go with him, right? And then we get a reunion of all those people and all those things.
And we get to unwrap all those gifts we never really understood. But tomorrow, but yesterday was my Brad's wife, Lori's mother's funeral. And she had just turned 80.
She had just turned 80 in October the 6th, which mine's October the 9th. But anyway, that's just part of the story. To be continued, there's another chapter. Thank you, Jen. God bless.
I love you guys. Well, as you can see, we all got things to be thinking about this Thanksgiving as we can begin to prepare, like doing 100 Thanksgivings a day would be good, right, Jerry? Oh, absolutely. Yes.
Wow. When we sit there, I think too many times we don't realize how blessed we are. We're not sometimes all the time.
Yeah, that's very true. And one of the ways you can bless is to slow down. Jesus walked everywhere he went, got it all done in 33 years, and we're blessed. We are so blessed that you joined us today on The Christian Car Guy Show. Thanks for listening. This is the Truth Network.
