This is the Truth Network. Welcome to the Christian Carguy radio show. I say this calls for action and now. Drunk on the wind And the heart breaks Free once again, it never ends Oh, I wish I had waved The sun of righteousness Shall rise with healing in his wings With healing in his wings, today's show is just wings. Wings!
And I'm so thrilled to share this today. And if you happen to be watching on YouTube, or you may want to go back and watch this on YouTube, it's Robbie Dilmore, right? It's just my YouTube channel. Or you can see it on Facebook again and under Robbie Dilmore. if you want to see some of the things that I am going to be showing those folks you can go back and look at it later and so today's show wings I have my good friend Bob Young fresh off an Alaskan adventure great to be here today brother we saw a lot of great things but I think the the big story today is what you have for us yeah he's got a whale of a tail to tell you lads but anyway that's very fun so yes wings today i hope i hope through today's show it connects some dots for you but most importantly uh how it connects those dots through your prayer life and connects your those dots through um uh you know just giving you some freedom like that that the healing that that's available in jesus and understanding maybe more clear how it was pointing all these things were pointing to him as the Messiah, and how significantly huge that is, who he is, who is this man that could do such things.
And so in Mark chapter 5, there's a very interesting passage. Of course, he heals the demonic man. We talked about that last week. But next up on this particular whole passage is on uncleanness, but it's also very much an identity. And this woman has this tremendous faith that if she can just touch the hem of his garment, and unfortunately, I think few people understand what it was she was doing and why she did it, and she knew exactly what she wanted to touch.
She wanted to touch his wings, okay? She knew that the word wings and that word fringe, that if you ever go to Israel, you're going to see Jewish people, and if you're looking at me right now, you're going to see these fringe. Or you'll see that they wear smaller ones, like undershirts that look like this, with this kind of fringe.
Well, this is a very particular kind of fringe that God told them that they were to wear. You know, in the book of Exodus and Leviticus, he went into great detail on what that needed to be and how it needed to be because it was going to all point to this moment when this woman sees these fringes that were essentially the exact same word as wings. And so when God is describing to Moses how to make the Ark of the Covenant, you're going to make it and you're going to take two cherubim and you're going to put them on top of that, and their wings are to cover the Ark and they're to go up high. And so I brought a little cover, mercy seat is what you may hear this referred to, but it's the cover, it's the atonement cover. And so if you're looking at this right now on YouTube or Facebook, you're going to see that this particular, the ones you usually see, their wings aren't facing upwards.
But if you're looking at this, you can see that these wings are facing upwards, and these wings cover the top of the Ark of the Covenant that was behind the curtain. You may have heard that the curtain was torn at two when Jesus died because now everybody had access to this ark. And maybe you're aware that the only person that got to go in to see that, because it was called the Holy of Holies. And the only way that they could do that, they went once a day, once a year, they would go on the Day of Atonement, Yom Kippur, which, by the way, is coming up pretty shortly here. and that day they were to sprinkle blood on that ark seven times because the idea of this is the cover, right?
And it's Jesus' blood that covers your heart and we've talked about many times on this show how the ark of the covenant literally is your heart and so I don't know if you knew that part of the atonement cover that goes over your particular heart are these wings, okay? Because God's picturing this.
So when you see all these pictures out there with hearts with wings, It's just no accident, okay, because this is true. It's real, okay? It is absolutely beautiful.
So the high priest, when he went to do that, they put a rope around his ankle, and there were bells on his robe. And if they didn't hear that jingling in there, they knew that he didn't go in there in a holy way, and, you know, they had to pull him out. He would be dead, right? I mean, that's how holy this is. And what we're talking about is this holy, right?
And so these wings were just gigantically significant. I mean, it's hard to even imagine, but maybe you felt them on your heart, or maybe you felt them in some rush when God came in and saved you in some way, that you heard the wings or you saw the wings or you were touched by an angel in some way, shape, or form, and you begin to understand that these things are more real than perhaps anything that you're experiencing right now. It's as real as it can be. But that woman realized it, okay? There she was, 12 years.
She was unclean, which meant that she was isolated. Nobody could talk to her. Nobody could touch her. The idea of this is hard for us to fathom, but this poor woman for 12 years had spent all her money on doctors that had just made her suffer, according to Mark chapter 5. And now she sees what she knows is the Messiah.
and she knows that if she can touch these wings, there would be healing in the wings. Why does she know that? Because Malachi chapter 4, it says, right, the son of righteousness will rise with healing in his wings. And that refers to what she knew were these tassels that were hanging from his prayer shawl that he would have been wearing just like I'm wearing right now if you're watching this on YouTube or on Facebook. And so what's really very cool about this, at the end of, or excuse me, in Haggai chapter 2, it's also described this idea of this garment, only this time Haggai is supposed to ask, he does in fact, ask the priest at the time, if I'm carrying something in this garment, and he's showing them this garment with the tassels on it, and he says, and if these tassels touch something, does it make it clean?
And they say, no, it doesn't make it clean. God told him to ask them that question, and God told him the answer was, no, it wouldn't make them clean because they were people. But the one that was coming with healing in his wings, when he touched you, it would make you clean rather than— and then he goes on to say, and again, this is in Haggai chapter 2, he says, and if this touched a dead body, would it make it unclean? meaning that something unclean spreads but something just because this would be clean would not necessarily make that clean it's the other way around but watch what happens in mark chapter 5 the way the stories work he heals a demonic he's unclean he heals this woman who's been had this flow of blood for 12 years she's unclean then he heals jarius's daughter she's 12 years old. No accident.
There's 12 tribes of Israel.
Okay. He heals Jarius's daughter who is dead. Talk about unclean. I mean, you, you, you, you, you get the picture, right? But when he, after he heals this woman, he again, touches a dead body, which would made him unclean because he was a Hebrew, right?
But no, no, no, no. Because he was clean. You see, he had healing in his wings. When he touched that dead body, he told her to rise up, and then they ate, right? And you see that touch that only right because Jesus was in fact God And it was explained in Malachi that he was going to make it excuse me in Haggai in that second chapter he says look, I am making a new thing.
I'm going to shake things up. It's going to be like an earthquake. And it was, because the poor priest at the time had no clue who this was that came in and he had this healing. But this was not just a random like, oh, well, she just happened to touch the hem of his garment. No, no.
This is. She had a plan. She had a plan. And listen to what Jesus did. Right.
The only person that Jesus refers to his daughter in the entire Bible. The only person and daughter is a gigantic word in Hebrew. It has to do with passing on the covenant.
Okay, we all are the daughter, you know, of Zion. But nonetheless, he calls her, the only one in the Bible, he calls daughter. Why? Because he's giving her a clean identity. And so healing in his wings.
We've got a lot more coming up. Stay tuned. You're listening to The Truth Network and truthnetwork.com.
So I wish I had wings. The sun of righteousness shall rise with healing in his wings. Wings today on the Christian Car Guy Show. And I'm so grateful for my friend Bob, who's here in the studio, helps me slow down.
so I can back up a little bit because he's like, Rob, you lost me somewhere between Haggai and Malachi. I understand. And I'm going to try to.
Well, your knowledge is just so vast and so far above mine, and I think it's good that I'm here to get confused in case anybody out there is a touch confused. It's good. And then we can tap the brake and catch everybody up. And let me reiterate that knowledge is useless if it doesn't help you do something practically with God.
So I'm trying to get this to that, to where it's practical. Like, what do I do with this knowledge? And I'm hoping to get us there.
Well, I always knew that she was reaching for the garment for healing, but I didn't know that she looked at that as the wings. Right. And that really warmed my heart this morning to pick that up. And I do get a little confused sometimes. But by the end of the show, you always bring me up to speed.
And I get to where I need to be.
So, again, the reason why I bring up Haggai and Malachi is to give her a – You know, this is a woman who is living under the old covenant. You know, that's what she's been brought up in all her life. And she's seen people, especially holy people, walking around with these garments, you know, ever since she was a kid. And she knew that Psalms 91 talks about wings. And she knew all the places where God wished to gather people under his wings.
And this word is used continually throughout the scripture. And they all knew because when you look at this, and if you're looking at it on YouTube or Facebook right now, you'll see that it's not just, it's got meaning to every single part of it. And so there's five knots right here, and these five knots are like the books of the Bible, you know, of the Torah, what they would call the Pentateuch, the five books, you know, Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, right? And those five knots, you see it's like tying the knot because, you know, they believed that they were being married to God. And so you see them tying the knot here, these particular wings?
And then there's eight strands. And eight is a gigantically huge number because it's the miracle number. You do the best you can for seven days, and on the eighth day, God's going to make it happen. Jesus rose on the eighth day after the triumphal entry. The temple was cleansed on the eighth day.
There are eight verses of every section of the Hebrew alphabet in the 119th Psalm. It's a gigantic number to the Jews, and it should be for us.
So these eight have to do with what God told them when they make this, that they would remind them to do all his commandments, which is repeated over and over and over and over again, which are actually mitzvah is a better word, because you get the idea of commandments being something firm or whatever, and what he's asking us to do is to love him. You're right. I mean, it's simply, you know, love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and your neighbor as yourself. Commandments, okay? And so, you know, those are for that, but then also there is one particular, and if you're looking, there's the longest one.
Now, this is, again, more knowledge, but it teaches us something, that this longest one was supposed to be a ribbon of blue.
Now, you'll notice if you're looking at this, and if you see most of the kosher ones that you're going to see in Israel, they are going to be white. Why are they white instead of blue? Because they lost the formula to how to make the color blue that they were supposed to do when they made. In other words, God gave a very specific formula formula how you're going to make this die and how to make this the right color. And they knew after they came back from Babylonia, they had lost the formula.
And so in order for it to be kosher, they couldn't make it blue anymore. But here's the deal. When you read the book of Revelation, you're going to see the glassy sea, right? And that glassy sea is described in Revelation as that color of blue. And so these aren't just ordinary wings.
These are the wings of cherubim that are, again, on the mercy seat, okay?
Now, again, this is all knowledge at this point in time, but it's pointing, hopefully, to an understanding that this stuff is very holy, it's very meaningful, and it helps us all remember something. What does it remember? That these guys right here, when you read it, Ezekiel's going to tell you about the cherubim. He's going to give you a great description. And for those of us car people out there, they got wheels, okay, wheels within a wheel.
And they go wherever, and somehow or another, you know, they got wings, they got wheels. You know, it's quite a vision of what heaven is going to be. And they're a color that they are, is described in Ezekiel, as the same exact color of a peacock, okay? And if you look at a peacock, you know how I know that that's the right thing? because the peacock has eyes all over it.
And these cherubim not only have wings, not only have wheels, but they're covered in eyes, okay? And they're that color blue. And so when you begin to think of what's heaven going to look like, you're going to see these guys, and they're going to be that color blue, and they're going to have eyes all over them, okay? And all that is to telling you, like, man, this is real. This is what's going to happen.
Now, this ark that, again, the woman that was going to touch his wings, she knew what was inside that ark was the Ten Commandments, the manna that they ate, right, the Ten Commandments representing the law, the manna being, you know, the bread of God, and the rod that budded, which was an almond branch, which is the first fruits. The first thing that buds in Israel is an almond. And so that idea of the almond branch has always been a picture of Christ because he is our first fruits.
Okay?
So Jesus comes to live where? In your heart. And what I'm trying to give you a picture of is your heart is the new picture, what she was wanting. And what Malachi and Haggai and all those books are pointing to is the fact that when Jesus comes and he touches you with his mercy, which is his blood. See, they had to put blood on this in order to make it right.
And atonement covers what it's actually called. And so that blood of Jesus is blood on your heart, you see. And inside your heart is the law, right? As you memorize scripture, you've got law in there. And every morning when you read the book and the Bible and you get something new, it's your manna, you see.
And that rod that butted, it's Jesus in your heart. He's leading you to where you can go. And so all of this is pointing to one simple fact, man. And we're going to go why that's important when we come back. You're listening to The Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com.
Free once again, it never ends. Oh, I wish I had wait. The sun of righteousness shall rise with healing in his wings. Oh, how fun this segment. We've got Justin Gambino who's got some new music out that we're going to find out about just here in a minute.
But I got to finish this real quick teaching on wings that I don't want you to miss out on.
So we been talking about the Ark of the Covenant We been talking about the lady who touched the hem of Jesus garment which are these wings If you just tuning in I don want to totally lose you But the point of it all that I trying to hopefully the practical point right, is that your heart is, in fact, you know, the throne of God if you have the atonement cover. And that atonement cover with the wings on it, if you're looking on Facebook right now that you're seeing, that atonement cover has got Jesus's blood, right? And because of that, it becomes the throne of God, which those cherubim, which are described in Ezekiel and in Revelation, and clearly with this idea of wings, it has to do with the hem of Jesus's garment. Those cherubim, they are the throne itself. When you read it in Revelation, you'll see, and also in Ezekiel, if you begin to get the picture, that the throne is alive.
And these four creatures with all these wings, right? And so your heart, your heart is alive, okay? It's alive from a standpoint it's become flesh. It's alive because it's like the Ark of the Covenant, that it now has the rod that budded as Jesus is guiding you. It now has the law, the reason why you can memorize Scripture and see things because your heart was meant to hold those things, okay?
The manna that you get every day, like if you go looking for it, Jesus is going to give you, God is going to give you bread, daily bread, that is spiritual bread. And, of course, we know that when we take communion that that's bread as well, but your daily bread is extremely important to your overall mental health, etc. If you don't go searching for your daily bread, you are going to be spiritually hungry and it won't be long and you will be starving to death.
Okay. And so the reason why I go in all this is to say, okay, inside of your heart is the commandments, the art that budded, the manna, and it's covered by these amazing cherubim and God himself is enthroned there.
So when you're overwhelmed, and this is more real than anything that you could possibly imagine. It's more real than anything you're looking at right this minute, okay? Because this goes on for eternity, forever and ever. Read it again in Revelation. It's forever and ever.
The earth is going to pass away, but this stuff is not, okay? And the idea of this is you're overwhelmed.
Somebody's driving you crazy or, you know, you just got that horrible diagnosis or whatever it is that you are dealing with. Go to that holy place. your heart, and let him wrap you in his wings, and let him see that you are atoned for. There is no shame. You're totally innocent in God's eyes, and in his presence is fullness of joy.
At his right hand are pleasures forevermore, forevermore. It's more real. That's the whole idea. But welcome, Justin. I'm so glad you are with me today, my old friend.
I am so grateful. You have no idea how much I enjoy your music almost every day I listen. Do you have that Show Me Your Heart song, God, that just blows me away? But you got some new stuff, right? I do, man.
I do. It's so good talking with you. Thanks for having me. Oh, it's definitely my pleasure.
So, Enlightenus, what have you got coming? Man, we just released this EP called Just Like Jesus. It features five tracks. But whenever you ask me the question, what do I got coming? That's a whole nother answer.
You know, it's been a wild journey sharing my testimony over the last two or three years, which has, you know, through that, the Holy Spirit has led me on this journey of writing original worship music, which I've never done before. but now we're about five or six new songs in production of just immersive worship music, which has been great.
So that's kind of what's on the horizon as we're kind of enjoying listening and hearing people's testimonies about the new music and whatnot. That's awesome. That is awesome. And so just like Jesus, what are these five tracks? yeah so the first one on the on the project it's called wake me up then there's another song on there it's called you were always there which which pretty much sums up my testimony in three and a half minutes you know usually takes me a long time to get through my testimony and touch on all the points but uh i was like if we could wrap it up in like three and a half minutes what what would we say in the song?
And that's the song, You Were Always There. And then there's a song called Judas and Me, which is a very thought-provoking song. You rattled my cage right there with just the title of that song. Yeah, the Judas and Me song actually was inspired by a book that I was reading. and, you know, it has this idea of, like, we all have a little bit of that spirit of Judas in us, you know, that we wouldn't intentionally pickpocket our Savior, but we rob Him of His glory every single time we don't show up and show out for the calling that He has on our lives.
And I read that in a Mark Batterson book, not exactly, you know, verbatim, And that just struck me with that idea. And I was actually on my way into writing a song for this project, and my producer was like, well, you want to write a song about today? And I said, I know exactly what I want to write about today. And we came up with this song, Judas and Me. And it's very, very thought-provoking.
You know, what's interesting about that one, Justin, is that last Easter, I was coming up with my messages either for the radio or for my church or whatever I was doing. I know I spent a whole lot of time in the potter's field. And understanding, you know, what all that was at the field of blood. Yeah. And all of a sudden I started to see Judas in a light I'd never seen him in before.
It's like he didn't want Jesus to die. He didn't think he was going to die. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Judas wanted Jesus to be who Judas wanted Jesus to be, not who Jesus was, right?
Judas wanted him to be the, you know, he's going to conquer Rome and do all the stuff he wanted him to do. And line his pockets. All right.
Well, just, you know, like we all do, that Jesus is a, you know, it's going to get us what we want, not necessarily what we need, especially the relationship. I mean, that's beautiful. I love that. I love that idea, But Justin and, why did I say Justin? But anyway, how about the last one?
Yeah, the last two on that project is Good Intentions, which is a song that talks about, you know, we may always have the intention of building up God's kingdom, But in my personal story, I was quickly convicted by the Holy Spirit that I was just building up a kingdom that I built on my own. I was trying to build up my name rather than his. And so that's what that song is about. And then the last one is the title track, Just Like Jesus, just proclaiming who he is and what he does for us. and what he has done for us.
And, you know, talks about that prodigal son. The chorus says, ain't it just like Jesus to leave the 99 for the one? Ain't it just like Jesus to throw a party for a prodigal son? And it's a fun line to sing, and it's also a fun line to just say, too. It's a great line just to think about, because I wasn't supposed to be on the show today, but I'm learning now a second reason I'm here, and it was to hear this.
And my bell is ringing pretty loud right now, and I thank you for that. Yeah. You're welcome. That's what I've loved about Justin's music forever, which, you know, last time we had during the show, we were talking about Joy to the World, your Christmas song, But it's not really just a Christmas song. It's a year-round song, right?
Because it was meant for the second coming, as you described. And so my wife was like, why are you playing that Christmas song? I said, that is not a Christmas song. It's an everyday song. That is.
I'm looking for Jesus right now. That's right. That is such an uplifting song.
So I can hardly wait to add these new ones. And from what I understand, my producers are telling me they have some of that music to play at the bump.
So we're going to get a chance to enjoy some of that. But for those who don't know your testimony and people that for the first time are hearing about Justin, I will get into a little bit about that when we get back But also if you feel like calling and sharing something we would love to hear from you The number to call in is 866 866 We'll be right back with some Justin's music and, of course, his testimony. We're going to love to hear that. We'll be right back. You're listening to The Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com.
I still bear the scars of every selfish choice I've made. Can't believe the years I wasted carrying that weight. Then one day my life was changed when Jesus called me by my name. My testimony, this is my testimony. Ain't it just like Jesus to leave the 99 for the one?
Ain't it just like Jesus To throw a party for a prodigal son If I'm gonna love when the world says hate If I'm gonna learn how to walk by faith Gotta pray Make me just like Jesus Just like Jesus We got justice, Justin, then justice I said it again, I can't believe it Justin Gambino, like, man, if you're not listening to Justin Gambino, you are missing out on some amazing, amazing worship music because you can see his heart for God and his heart for worship. And we get to worship alongside of you, Justin. You're right about those lines. It's just like Jesus to throw a party for one. Yeah.
Yeah. I loved writing that song. Not only did I love writing that song, but I loved sharing it with people. I mean, you start seeing people as just their facial expressions are just like, they just got this joy that sweeps over them in that moment. Singing that song.
It's just, I'm on tour now.
So it's something that's sticking to my heart. Oh, where are you? Where are you going? Place to place.
so people that are listening I was just in Stanton, Texas which is in between Midland and the Spring area and then I'm heading west next there's going to be a festival out in Eureka, California next Saturday and then I'll be out in Northern California Nevada Oregon, Idaho, Utah yeah we got a lot of listeners so where in Utah are you going to be We have a lot of listeners in Utah because we have a station in Utah. Yeah, October 19th. I'm performing at Calvary Chapel, Salt Lake City. Wow. That's a Sunday.
And I'm going to do an evening concert over there. That's awesome. So, yeah, it's a lot of miles between now and November. That is so wonderful. Go ahead, Bob.
Well, your music is very impactful. there's a young man in my life right now that I can't wait to leave the station and get with him and get him in touch with your music because I think he needs that because I definitely needed it didn't know I needed it wasn't even supposed to be here today and I have been marinated deeply in just a few lines and just titles and stuff it's got to be impactful.
So I can't wait to swim in it and splash a little of it on him. Yeah. So, you know, for those of us that are just totally ignorant like me about certain things that are new.
So when you start off, you're saying this just like Jesus is like an album, but you called it something else. Um, like an EP or something like that. That's what you said. What's an EP that just It shows what I know. What's an EP?
Well, I think those are some terms that we used to use. You know, there was an EP, then an LP. LP would stand for, like, long play, which is longer than a single, of course. And then EP is an extended play where it's not enough music to make a complete album, but you're kind of halfway there.
so that's what EP I think that's the correct term for EP extended play and so people purchase EPs or do they get them on how do they get that all in one package whenever I'm in whenever I'm on the road or at my merch table I actually have physical copies of these EPs it's like a CD and then also people can go online and they can stream it on their favorite listening app or they can download it as a whole, you know, for five or six bucks. And, you know, if, if people buy music these days, I don't, I don't think, I think a lot of people just stream, but yeah, you can stream it as a whole as well from start to finish. Those five songs, which, yeah, just mean, it mean a lot to me. It's meant a lot to me to write those songs. And it means a lot to me to, to encourage people with those songs.
Well, I think it'll mean a lot to anybody that listens to it. Cause I mean, just a few lines, And I got just, I got emotional, and I'm not a real emotional guy sometimes. You got me. You grabbed me right by the heart, you know. You know, Bob, you know, you say that you weren't supposed to be on the show today, but I think God knew that you were supposed to be on the show today.
You just didn't know. But God knew. There you go. He did. There you go.
I listened to the lead. I was led here today, and I was going to just pop in and surprise Robbie, but sometimes when I try to surprise people, I'm the one that gets surprised. Yeah, I know what that's like. There you go. So, yeah, we are always so thrilled to have our connection with you, Justin.
And, again, it's Justin Gambino and pretty cool.
So for like me, I go to Amazon Music and I just put in Just Like Jesus, and hopefully it'll come up with a whole EP for me. Yeah, it should. It should. And so I can add that to my favorites and away I go. Because I got to tell you that my word of the year, you know, every year I ask God for a word of the year of a message that he wants me to soak in.
And my word this year, Justin, was worship. which honestly I've always been a little worshiply challenged. I resemble that remark. I see other people, they are clearly in a better place there than I am. And so it's really been a blast for me, for God to show me.
And one of the most significant things he showed me this year on worship that he said, Robbie, I don't want you to sing to me. I want you to sing with me. That's good. That the worship experience is a wit. Like, I don't want you to do things for me.
I want you to do things with me. Worship really took a different angle for me when I began to realize, oh, oh, we're doing this together. You know, like, I get to do this with me. You made yourself a bigger part of worship. Right.
In other words, he's at the center of it, but he's actually, like, he's with me in it. And that makes a huge difference for me. And so as I have been, like, listening to your music, very specific, like, you know, your song about the heart, Show Me Your Heart. That's the first song, you know, when you came on my show the first time. But I can tell you that that song, like, just wouldn't you want, you know, you love somebody, you want to show them who you are.
And so, like, man, God, show me your heart. It's such a phenomenal concept. And then I just had never really thought about it until I heard your song. And I've been just worshiping there ever since you came on the first time with it. It's awesome.
Well, I appreciate that, Robby. It means a lot, man. Not a lot of people know that A Father's Heart is my favorite track from that Made New record. And it's not every day that my favorite track is everyone else's favorite track. and that was just so humbling and impactful to me, just seeing how the listeners were just, they just gravitated towards what happened to be my favorite track off the podcast.
I'm glad you correct me. The song's name is The Father's Heart. You're exactly right. I'm just thinking about the line that blows my mind. But anyway, we got to go.
Oh, no, you're good, man. I love you, Justin. Bob. Thanks, Robbie. Oh, it was so fun to have you guys.
It was great to be here today. And all of you listening, even greater that God is with us, I thank you so much for listening. I got to say now that remember, slow down. Jesus walked everywhere he went, got it all done. 33 years.
Thank you for listening.
