I tell you what, we're going to have an exciting morning this morning. Cover a lot of ground, I hope. And one, I'm Jerry Mathis from Ray's Body Shop and Record Service, filling in for buddy Robbie, who is on vacation this week.
And I hope he's having a good time as he is wrapping up his week in the studio with me of Junior Reynolds and Mark Flynn. And we're going to talk a little bit about everything you can possibly think about. And one thing. If you are hearing us this morning and you have a, this is something we're going to kind of take a step back in the past a little bit that we used to do more of, and that is take automotive questions. If you have a concern about a body repair, I pretty well can tell you on that.
Mark's been around automotive business and a lot of things that people don't realize who go into Pollyum's hot dogs and barbecues. I probably first met Mark when he was out doing the stripe, pinstriping, and stuff. How many years did you do that? I did that for several, several years. I mean, I could still do it, but.
with the business and everything. You know, it just. I love doing it. It's just finding the time to be able to go around like I used to to go to the cruise ends or people wanting stuff striped or lettered. And a lot of us gonna decal now, you know.
Decals and and and Yeah, and wraps and stuff. And I'm going to come back to that. I just want to mention that. I'm going to come back to that in just a moment. Also, Junior Reynolds, who rentals garage here in Winston-Salem.
Die gummit, how many years were y'all in business? Your dad started it in 1941. In I I sold to the state for the highway. twenty twelve. Daddy had passed away by then.
But I wish he had been here to see what he told me one time. He said The lamb we're using Is worth more for what we're using it for, and one day you'll understand more of that. why I said what I said. And he was right. He was right.
Yeah, but you know, you go through there and stuff, and it always kind of, I know progress, and we need to see progress, and it's, you know, the roads and stuff is gonna be really nice when it's all said and done. But I get kind of that kind of that emotional thing when you go and you see, because I just always remember, I mean, my whole life. That building up there and those houses with the car parts shoved in them, and that business being on right there on Stanleyville Road. You know what I mean? University Parkway.
Yeah, University Parkway. And it's. You know, it's emotional not to be there. And that's what I love about Pulliams. And I always, and I say this every time I get to be around Mark or talk to anybody.
That building and that that business isn't just hot dogs and barbecue to me. It's it's it's a building for a m full building full of memories. I mean that's what people come up there for. We've been blessed to have Been feeding many generations. That history of memories for so many people, because especially in this area.
And people who have lived in this area at different times and stuff, you can always mention polyams, and they'll have a polyam story about their dad or their granddad or they're going up there with their kids or whatever it was. I mean, that's. I don't know. I think we have kind of drifted away from some of that in our culture, and I kind of miss it. It's kind of, I'm, as my wife says, she hates to go around any historic site with me.
She said, she remembers getting on the Yorktown with me. She said, I thought you told me it was only going to be on there for two hours. And we were on there for like, I don't know, whatever time it opened that morning. And they were running us off the boat. I mean, I just love that stuff.
I read, she says, every time we go in there, you have to read every placard. You have to read every, listen to every story. And I said, well, it's just. I had the History is important and I love it. But again, if you have a question about automotive, just give us a call.
We're going to talk a little bit about the claim process when you have an accident from A to Z, because there's a lot of things. And over the past couple years, there's been some things in my industry, the collision industry, that has really. Changed and really has a lot. If you're in an accident that has got people confused and don't understand some of the process, we're going to talk about that. But before we do, I'm going to read today's devotion out of Jesus' Calling.
This is a book. Markin Jr., this this book has traveled with me. On mission trips for, I guess, probably 17 years now. You can kind of tell. It looks slightly war.
As a matter of fact, last week, I had it with me in Jamaica on a, or two weeks ago, Jamaica on my mission trip. And what we do when we go and leave that morning to go to wherever we're going that morning to the either Broadleaf area or or or whatever, somebody in my bus I drive also the buses with the little vans, but I have somebody every morning read the devotion just to get the day going. But this is a great devotion book. It's not Not You know, it's it doesn't take a lot of time, but man, it's pretty deep. And I just I'm just gonna read the the devotion part of this morning because I When I read it, it just kind of struck a nerve with me.
Relax and let me lead you through this day. I have everything under control, my control. You tend to peer anxiously into the day that is before you, trying to figure out what to do. And when Meanwhile, the phone rings and the doorbell rings, and you have to reshuffle all your plans. All that planning ties you up in knots and distracts you from me.
A tenderness to me is not only For your quiet time. And I think that's important. When I read that, I kind of paused on that because I think everybody always thinks: you know what, I'm gonna. Give God ten minutes or Jesus I must spend with Jesus 10 minutes a day. You know, he won't.
24 hours a day and it just just really struck a nerve in me. A tenderness to me is not only for your quiet time, but for all your time. As you look to me, I show you what to do now and next. Vast quantities of ti quantities of time and energy are wasted in observing planning. When you let me direct your steps You set free.
You're set free to enjoy me and to find what I have prepared for you this day. Too many times, I know for myself, I get so wrapped up in what I. Think I'm gonna do? and what my plan is for that day. And usually, as the phone's on a ring and it'll change instantly and stuff.
And I just have to always lean into God and what He's going to do. And Junior was mentioning. before we went on air, he was just talking a little bit about, you know, How When his dad passed away, and before he did, he just sort of sat him down and talked things through. This is how it's. Everything's laid out and how it's gonna go and stuff.
But still, there's those things that are gonna be thrown that isn't gonna go exactly as planned. We just have to lean into God and know that and trust that He's going to walk with us this day through this journey. And some days are tough. And some days I know I speak for myself. I know that I have zero strength and ability to.
to get through it without my Lord and Savior. What do you mean? But that's the thing about it, too, is we've all three been in business for ourselves. Right.
So people think. Everything's peachy key. They don't know behind the scenes what kind of troubles we may be in. And we've got to turn to him to. Ask.
Mark, I mean, you can go and come when you want. I mean, if you want to go to the beach, nobody can tell you you can't go because you're the boss. You own it, right? Junior, isn't that how it always was? That's what I was told.
Yeah.
Well, I'll tell you what. I find that The folks that Parents ran the business. You don't change it much. And if it's working, you don't mess with it. You make it larger or stuff.
But there's three guys. who come from a family. They come from a family. Excuse me. Junior's g working his way back away from that mic here.
I was wondering if that window was going to open any time.
Well, I got that.
Well, a little cough this morning. But Family businesses. just seemed to work better for some reason. you got that person to talk to. They understand and things like that, but Um I'm just proud that uh We come from a family like that, but they They taught us family tradition, even in business.
by the front roll of the church. That's what they tell us. That's where it starts. Yeah, I think g yeah. I mean, I am so grateful and I've I've said multiple times, when I was growing up I had a drug problem 'cause my mom drugged me to church every time the doors were open.
I mean, it wasn't It wasn't no choice. I mean, and there's times where, and I've said this also: there's been times where I could always say I was a Christian because I knew Jesus Christ. Because what mom taught me and had me in church.
Now there was a period where I think if I was in a court of law, I'd have a hard time finding a witness that was going to be a witness for the fact that I was a Christian, but I will never, never. Not give the due to her because of making sure I was in church, and that's what my foundation. We're back in a moment again at 866-348-7884. 348-7884. And as I mentioned, Mark mentioned about doing pinstriping and stuff. We talked about now everything is decals and wraps. And Which made me think as soon as he said it, I said, I'm going to come back to that because there used to be a. Time when you could go to the local racetrack or car shows and you would see artwork.
I mean, you know, now these vehicles, I mean, from the big boys all the way down to local tracks, there's not. Much. I don't even know. Like a Bowman Gray, I don't even know that I'd know anybody except for maybe the. starter division that has hand painted anything on them.
It marks their Well, if you're familiar with the track over there at Bowman Grave, back the only person I know right now over there as far as the stadium goes that has his completely hand letters, Danny Prost. His is completely hand lettered, and it the guy that did it did a nice job. Yeah, because it used to be now everything's powder-coated. uh wrapped. I mean it's It did away with their jobs.
Yeah, but and you'd go to car shows and stuff, and now you really don't know if you're looking at it, be finished until you go up and start. But most average person can't really even tell that it's a pinstriping. Yeah.
Because they go now and do all that pinstriping on something and clear coat it. Yeah.
After they get done with it, and you can't really tell that it's a decal or whatever because it's got the clear coating over it. But you can look at it and say it's too perfect. Yeah.
Too perfect. Yeah, and I'm gonna tell you what, in my business, what makes my oh, I get a vehicle comes in that's been clear coated over pinstripe, but man, it sure makes life tough, I tell you. But we sat there and like I said, it's just the kind of it with change. Not all change is is is for the best. I mean well I give you I want to tell you a real st the story real quick of a modified I lettered years ago back when this you know, when when decals first come out, they were expensive.
But I had to modify it. I had used the letter for a guy. And uh He's been the champion over there for years, but To make a long story short, He put decals on it.
Well, next thing you know, he's calling me back up saying, I need you to come over here and letter my car. He said, When I go over there the track And I get hit, they come back over my nerf bars or whatever, and knock the decal off.
Well, it cost me a bunch of money to have that decal replay. Where the only thing I had to do is come over and paint over the tire mark. Yeah.
So that's where you saved money from having But they were really I mean, everybody nobody hardly had the count the the decal machines and cutters and All that back then, but he said, Yeah, I need you to come over and letter, because it's costing the fire out of me. Having to put decals back on this thing when you can just come over here and paint over the Tire Mark. Yeah, and then because that's Junior probably say the same thing. I mean, being able to watch somebody that had that talent and that art, I mean, it was crazy. I think that's the only thing that's not you know, we'd have Back in the day, I mean, it was.
Pinstriping was basically at least half of it was Hand painted. And so I sit there and just watch that and just think, man, how in the world? I couldn't have, I don't have a steady enough hand for that. But it's a talent, that's for sure. And that's one of the things, like you said, it's just kind of missing and that I miss.
Like I said, I'm a history part. I like the nostalgia of all the oldie, goldie stuff, and what used to be and stuff like that. It's always neat. I remember I seen some pictures with. When Reynolds' garage was at Bowman Gray with their had Jeeps with the tow bar on the back of them, I don't think you pinstriped those.
Looked like Junior as a as a thirteen-year-old went up there with a spray bar on the paint. One of the things that I loved about it was his daddy putting, Don't cuss, call us. That's one of his slogans, don't cuss, call us. Exactly. He yeah, I'm A C I could back when I was in my early 20s And I think he he would see me coming in because I'd always get him because I'd have a getting a part and I'd have been ready to write the check and I'd say, Reynolds Junkyard.
Oh my goodness. He wanted to throw me out the door. He didn't like it. He he would also have this thing about hubcaps.
Somebody come and say, I need a hub cat. And they had it in their hand. They said one like this. And they said, Well, that's a wheel cover. No.
No, it's a herb gale. No, it's a wheel cover. Hubcap is the little one. It goes right in the center of the wheel. Yeah, um He'd had the most fun out of that and And uh He'd have probably what they wanted, but he's Had to educate him to say We'll cover.

So that was two things. No junkyard. Wheel cover is nothing.
Okay. The hubcat makes all the sense in the world. Absolutely.
Well, as I said, I wanted to kind of talk a little bit about the claims process, having an accident and stuff, because. Things have changed so much in the last couple years. And part of it was because of COVID. And all insurance companies have downsized tremendously. I mean, you sit there and one thing, they don't have as many field adjusters.
I mean, the biggest carrier in this area, North Carolina, is nationwide in State Farm. And I remember a day when they had probably, both of them had in the Piedmont area, 10 adjusters that were on the road looking at cars and stuff. And now they both maybe have two guys or women that are out looking at the vehicles.
So it's just a whole different process. And I think about In an accident, when somebody has an accident, and always go back to the first thing you need to do is. Know where you're gonna Take the car if it's not drivable, and also know who's going to tow it because that's going to cost or save you a lot of money. Also, you ought to only be moving the vehicle one time. And another thing I'm going to kind of back up from that, if you are in an accident, and this is something that I think the two guys in front of me will say, I mean, if I'm in an accident, I would I'm the one who always says, well, I own a body shop.
Let me, I'm not in many accents, so, but I would hope that somebody would let me say, instead of calling the police, I'll repair it. If I ever told you that, unless you know me, don't do it. I mean, the reason I say that is too many times people are in an accident, and now with vehicles, Junior, you've been in them where it looks like there's hardly any damage on a vehicle that hits these your thing bumpers and they'll pop right back out. But in behind that bumper, the rebar, the rear body panel, if it's hitting the back or if it's hitting the front, the radiator support and all this stuff can be damaged and you don't see it because that. Rubber bumper just kind of pops back out.
Well, we're going to kind of work our way down a list of things that have changed in the repair process and the claim process when we get back. Okay, we were just talking about being in an accident and one thing.
So many people will, and they come into our shop all the time where they've been in an accident, looks like just some minor bump up, and somebody gave them a couple hundred dollars. And said, I don't see much damage. You really didn't see much damage. And then all of a sudden, we get up under the vehicle and you see, you know, it can be thousands of dollars worth of damage that's hidden because these bumpers and as I said, are your thing bumpers now, and they'll pop back out sometimes and you won't see all the damage in behind it.
So, one thing I always tell, I tell my wife, and daughter, and family, and anybody who comes to the door, always call the police and get a police report. That's right. And also, try to get everything as accurate as you can as far as because it's amazing how much the story can change when somebody goes out and their friends start giving them advice. And you're not talking about where you go and watch YouTube and it shows you how to take a hair dryer and blow on it and then take your can of air and blow on it and it just pops out magically on YouTube. Yeah, it looks real easy on that stuff.
And sometimes, I mean, we'll have people come in, and I've had multiple times I've written an estimate, or David or Dale, or somebody writes an estimate, or Dorsey, and all of a sudden people are going, well, I don't know, that may be more than I want to spend on. They leave, and then they'll come back a couple weeks later and they have tried to do that self-repair. And it could be, let's just say it's got six hours of damage in a quarter panel or on a fender.
Well, they've taken a hammer and got in there and started trying to beat it out. And then we write it up and I'm saying, well, you know what? That the cost of it just doubled because now instead of just A few hours to repair this fender, you've damaged it so much by trying to this metal can't take this beating on it. You know, it's it's this lower gauge, and it'll especially some of them are aluminum. You'll you'll get this stuff so You know, stretched out, there's no repair process anymore, so you have to replace it.
So, a lot of times, go to an expert and get. get it done correctly or at least get some advice on what you're planning on doing if that may cause you more damage down the road. Another thing is too, I want to you know, call Ray's body shop down here for your towing deeds, but I won't I like for uh Jerry to elaborate just a little bit about Who you get to tow it because these towing companies now does disrespect to them, but they can really lay it on you and don't tell you the cost till after it's done been towed to where you want it. And that goes back to know where you're going to have it towed to and who's going to tow it. And Junior, as the former president of the Winston-Santa Pass County Wrecker Association, has been on that side of that.
That Thing where people were very upset and felt like they've been taken advantage of. I mean, three or four hundred dollars to tow a car. It was kind of ridiculous to go somewhere, but Junior, go ahead and You've got a lot of experience in that, sure enough.
Well, we work through the police department. And everybody that was on this list. Had to meet a standard. And one was a price list. And it didn't vary much and then If it did vary or they felt even without the price list that, hey, I've been hooked.
They call me. I take it over. and correspond with the company. And uh See if we can work something out to make everybody happy. But most of the time, They're in step with that pros.
Uh but but again I recommend Get the company you won't.
So, that if you have an accident, the police department should ask you two things. Do you want to scall your record or do you have a request? Get the request. Your Think now if he's on capable of coming, they'll get him. But if he's not capable of coming, you're gonna have to use the next step.
But the best place Find this before it happens. Before you wreck, find out who's going to tow. and where's it going to go? They like juries. Uh app.
This is I'm not um A bad driver. My wife thinks I am, but I've had two wrecks. Neither one of them was our fault. The first one I wasn't even in the car. Jerry helped me through it.
The second one. I was in the car. And I got sandwiched. Jerry helped me with this one. If you have not had a nice deal lately, And you have one.
It's different. You're not gonna see them. Um person come out and survey the situation. They're going to email you the instructions. or what they want you to do.
About your vehicle. And you gotta make a lot of pictures. And where's it gonna go? And that's why I say, pick someone right now. that you trust.
Like Jerry. I chose Jury. Jury and I have been friends a long time. And Send him on my work. He helped me go through it.
It's the first time I've ever done it. And we made it. I didn't like it, but we made it. When uh junior mentioned that And I'm looking for it in my hand here. I do think it's important to make sure that you know where, if you're going to use a car may have to get towed, I mean, if you're in an accident, a flat tire, you broke down on the side of the road with the heat that we're all dealing with right now, car may overheat, know a towing company because it's going to save you money.
The rotation is usually a little higher because of the standards that these companies have to meet. Exactly. If you were to request somebody. It'll usually save you some money. Plus, you've got, and I always say, it's good to go by somewhere and talk to them and say, hey, I just wanted to introduce myself.
If I ever need a wrecker or I ever need body repair, if I ever need mechanical repair. I I want to have a relationship with you. And most of the time, people will, I mean, they should, we do, spend time and talk to people and just let them know what we do and make sure that we'll. You know, help them out. In our shop, we have a pamphlet that is 10 things to know before having your car repaired.
And inside that pamphlet also has a thing to get information if you're in an accident. I encourage all my family and all my wife and kids and everybody else, I always tell them: first thing to do is put this in your glove box. And if somebody I've got nieces and nephews as they were growing up and getting their license, I made sure it was in there and said, if you're in an accident, broke down, no matter what, no matter what anybody says, pull that because you're. Most people, when you're in that point, you're in a crisis and sometimes you don't think clearly.
So just reach in the glove box and it has all the numbers on it, and other shops can give you this information also. And pull it out and you Just give it to you, read it off over here. This is who I want to come pick my car up, and that's where I want it towed to. Because one thing where an insurance company will not tow a vehicle. multiple places.
If you're in an accident, they're going to cover that first toe. And depending on the company and depending on your coverage, they may or may not tow the second thing.
So if you tow it to a towing company that doesn't have a body shop and it needs body repair, you may be responsible for that tow from there to the body shop. Also, if you just call a rotation record, there's a chance that it may be on the other end of the county in which you live.
So, hopefully, you'll get it and have somebody that's close by and stuff. And these pamphlets, I know if you're in Winston-Salem, Greensboro, High Point, Cornersville, Triad area, you can come by our shop, and we'll be glad to give you one of these pamphlets because it's just good to have. I encourage you to go out if you have a, especially a young driver. I encourage you to go out and get some information and put it in the glove box so they have it.
So it'll save you money. It'll save you a lot of money in the end.
Okay, now we've got to, we've had the wreck. We know we've called who we want to call, and now all of a sudden, I've got to call my insurance company, just like Junior said. All of a sudden, this has changed so much. Used to be where you'd call them and they'd say, Where's the vehicle? We'll send an adjuster out.
Now they're probably going to tell you most companies are going to say Uh just take some With your phone, take some pictures, text them to us, and they're going to send you an estimate without ever seeing the vehicle. Exactly. This gets people very upset because they will come and always tell people: don't. get upset over that. Because people come and say, they told me to send pictures, but I want to get an estimate first.
And I always tell them, Don't worry about that. Just go ahead and send the pictures in if it's a company that that's what they require, and you're going to do that.
Now, if you say, I want raise body shop and record service to repair my vehicle, then we can take some of those steps away and work you through that process. But if you're not sure where you want it to go, when you go out and get all these estimates and they come up with, let's just say they're $4,000. And you're looking at those estimates saying, well, everybody's telling me it's $4,000, but I sent pictures into my. company to the company that's paying my claim and they send it back and it says eighteen hundred dollars well people get all upset and worried and some shops don't even do a good job of explaining this and walking people through it that just gets the estimate started gets the claim process started because we have people who come down and those estimates the next thing when it comes in we contact them and say okay now this is what it's going to cost to repair it all you're doing is getting the process started with that picture claim so don't get upset about that and you're wasting your time a lot of times i say you know what you're going to spend two days running around trying to get estimates And it's really not gonna help you any. Just let them send you that and then take it to the repair facility, the collision center that is gonna repair your vehicle, give it to them.
and they'll work with the insurance company and work with you to make sure your car is repaired properly. You're listening to The Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. Gonna save all my money I love you. Welcome back to Christian Car Guy Radio, and we were just talking about the claims process and doing the photo claims, not to get all stressed out over that. The other option they may give you, and which people will get a little worried about and don't understand, is the DRP, which is a direct repair facility program.
And that's what we are with like nationwide and state farming, the bigger companies and stuff. And that's where. They will say, you know, we will, if you go to that, to our program, we will cover. Will warranty the work and stuff. If you go outside the network, they will not.
And the big thing on that, no matter where you go, make sure that company is going to stand behind their work. Just ask them, you know, if you go on to ABC Body Shop, just ask them what their warranty looks like and what do they cover and that kind of stuff. And look at reviews because it's, you know, if you get your car repaired and you've got a problem with it, and then the insurance company, because you went out of network, won't. stand behind you you're pretty much in in a no-win situation. You usually have a you're stuck with a poor repair with no no recourse as far as unless you want to take them to small claims court, which is going to cost you more than the repair.
So Just make sure you do your homework on that. And that's why I go back to find this place you feel comfortable with that you know that you can work with and will work with you. The other thing I just want to mention is make sure, you know, if you get. Too many people now with these vehicles are dropping collision insurance on them way too early. And we've talked about this.
And Junior used to be in the salvage business. He'll Some of this may surprise them because over the years it's changed so much.
Some of these headl just headlights on these vehicles with the adaptive you know, sight on them and for the headlights and the radar in them. It's not That's unusual to run across a headlight that's seven to eight thousand dollars. And you know, the door mirrors and stuff with also with the lane departure and stuff in those. You can spend a couple thousand dollars on that. Taillights in the, you know, what a work truck.
Ford has the work truck. And if you have a work truck, you know you're going to knock your taillights out of it, loading something in and out of it. For many years there, the Ford had their lane departure in the taillights.
So all of a sudden these taillights that you're used to paying $100 to get changed out when they get busted now are $1100. The other thing in your business too is the fact that uh something you're talking about taillights and minor things, something like that, is people needs to be aware there is You got collision, but there's the comprehensive that can fall into place, and you wouldn't get points. Yep, yep, that's important, and especially knowing and. Uh uh A piece of advice. If you hit a deer or something in the road, a concrete brick or something and causes damage.
Make sure you think this through. about if something is moving. Because I'll tell you that the the the thing with insurance and comprehensive and if it's gonna be collision or comprehensive, if you hit something in the road or something whatever it may be. There's one determining factor that tells you if it's going to be a collision claim or a comprehensive claim. Collision claim is usually could be a higher deductible, maybe not.
But also you're going to get insurance points. Comprehensive claim, no insurance points. And it may be a lower deductible because that's changes with the policy. But The thing is, what determines that is if that thing is moving. If you hit something in the road, say a trash can.
If it's stationary and not moving, And you hit it, it's a collision claim. If it's moving, sliding. Another car had kicked it up or whatever just so it's moving. That's a comprehensive claim. But if you sit there and you go, well, it may have been steal, I don't know.
then I'll guarantee you they're going to file that as a collision claim.
So that first initial conversation, make sure you, in your mind, know how you're going to answer that, because that's going to make a big determination on how that claim is settled. And You know, there's just so much there, and I just think it's so important to just do your homework. And the other pieces with a total lost vehicle, I mean, so many people now are buying them back or wanting to buy them back. With all the electronics, it may have $6,000 damage. They're going to pay you $6,000.
If you buy it back and they get in there and you don't know that the computer somewhere else may be damaged or had failure where it shorted out during the accident, all of a sudden you've got another $2,000 that's going to cost you. The insurance company's out of it. That's all on you.
So I always suggest. Don't buy back a total loss vehicle. I mean, you're taking a big chance.
So I'm always worried about that. Always read about it. If you got a salvaged title or not. Yep, that's the other piece. You can't put collision on it anymore.
Well, another thing, too. when you have an accident. My last accident was A sandwich, I was in the middle, there's three of us. When the officer got there, He said, I need to speak to each of you separately.
So We went to the side. And he would ask this question. What were you doing when you wreaked? And I said, What do you mean?
Well were you moving? Was you stopped? What were you doing? You're in the middle of the car. What were you doing?
And I said I was stopped.
Okay. The first car, lady. She told him same thing, I will stop. The guy back that hit me made me hit her. He said I tried to stop, but couldn't.
If I'd have said I'm moving I wouldn't have had to pay for her damage. He'd had to pay for mine. by me being stopped and her being stopped. He took all the blame. And he he didn't have no problem with it, but th that's what happened.
So know what you're doing. And I mean, you don't have to tell a tale about it, just tell them what actually happened. But keep that distance away. My wife gets on me all the time. Keep away from the back.
Just let them, you know. You talk about getting hit in the rear, and this is something I also tell, and I tell my wife and stuff, and I see it all the time: when people pull up. to an intersection. They're going to turn Left. And when they get there and the lights, or they're waiting on traffic, they already have their wheel turned to the left.
If I've seen this way too many times. They get hit in the rear, and because their wheels turn left, it shoots them right that you automatically let off the brake and it puts you right into traffic coming at you. Until that light turns, until you feel safe to go, keep your wheels straight. It's crazy, but believe me, it happens. I mean, that's something you don't think about.
And as we get ready, I know we're about ready to get wrapped up, but I want to give Junior just a moment to just anything you'd like to talk about. Also, Mark, and one thing I want to say about Mark as he's sitting here this morning, I had a. Uh we had a a Food critic called me, was it Friday or Thursday, talking about the hot dog that he had and how much time, how much he enjoyed the time he spent. He said, I wasn't able to stay up here alone, but just how much time and the atmosphere and the nostalgia of being in that building. But it was the big man around here, Stu Epperson, and he was just bragging on your hot dog here, Mark.
Yeah, it was a good seat, Stu. But, yeah, it's it's it's always been a blessing to people to come up there and to talk and I mean just not to come up there for a sandwich, you're a hot dog, but uh for me to be able to like you walk in and somebody else might want, for me to be able to introduce you to somebody else. and become friends and become one big happy group up there and discuss what the topic may be, you know, and It's just it's been a blessing to be able to do what is done and that that that hot dog will bring that kind of people in, you know. Yeah, I Junior, I don't know about you, but I'm always amazed when I go up there. Mark remembers everybody's name that walks through that door.
Everybody. I've been blessed with that. My dad and my grandma both were like that. I have a hard time remembering people living in the same house with me sitting outside. I hear you.
So Junior, uh for you, what what would be the last thing to leave everybody with? Get up and go to church in the morning. Thank the Lord for letting you be here. Pray for our country. that would be on the right step.
In The main thing is this. If you don't know him, Get in church tomorrow and find him. That's right. I'll say amen to that. I'll say amen to that.
