Yeah Good evening, everybody. Welcome into the Winklerverse. It's a Friday news dump edition. Just after six o'clock here to start your weekend. I love Fridays.

I should name my show that. I do love Fridays. Lots going on tonight. You have the Twins in town to take on the Brewers for a three-game set. You have Packers Family Night happening tonight, which.

I won't. I mean, I'll watch a little. It's Friday night. Friday night in the Winkler house is. is a SmackDown night in America.

And we are also, I think, getting the return of on SmackDown Kevin Owens. And Randy Orton, as they both came back at the last pay-per-view at SummerSlam.

So my kids, I think he's at a buddy's right now. I don't even know. It's six o'clock. Do you know where your kids are?

So once he returns, we'll watch that for the night. And go to bed.

So, any family night stuff that I would watch will probably be tomorrow. I might turn it on and be like, hey, look, Kid Lambo, you've been there. And I like the concept of family night. I'm not going to harp on Family Night. I like the concept of it.

I like that the Packers. I guess they do it the right way. It's not even that they do it the right way. I wish they still did more of a game, green versus gold or whatever.

Now it's just a bunch of drills. I wish there was at least like a quarter of action. I mean, I know they do like the two-minute drills and stuff. But it's it's it's not It's not a good TV viewing product. It's good to be in Lambeau.

And see, it would be like if you went and watched the Brewers scrimmage or that Bucs intra squad scrimmage. that they always do, which actually would probably be better on T V. They do it on like a Sunday morning. And it's great, just 10 bucks. You take your kid.

You be in Fiserve and you see the Bucks.

So, these kind of things, like the Brewers were able to do an exhibition this year. I think every ticket was like $10, $20. You sit wherever you want. I ran into the Schmids there. Shout out to Billy.

So I think those are great and I think this is great. I'm just not going to watch it on TV. I'm into the preseason games. Totally, I am. I watched a bunch of the Hall of Fame game last night, thrilling finish.

I like watching the preseason games. Being in all these fantasy leagues and dynasties. You do kind of like learn the third running back battles on other teams, and you want to see if your sleeper's going to make the team or whatever, but I also. You know, it's football, and you have the understanding of that. I did think at first the game felt a little UFL last night, but then it, you know, it picked up and whatever.

Although I won't speak too much on that because I was catching up on Big Brother. Which I was really high on the season, and now one side of the house is running things, and that always. Seems to happen, but you know, whatever.

So family night tonight. I put on the title Family Night Preview. I also put not really. There's not much to preview. You just hope that everyone stays healthy.

I will not knock on Family Night. It looks like there's going to be decent weather at least. Family Night's something that always seems to get rained out. Actually, I'll check Appleton. Oh no, there might be a little bit.

There might be a little bit of rain. Later, but whatever, Appleton Green Bay. the same. Um So, family night should be fun. Maybe I'll scroll through it.

Maybe I'll show my kid a drill or two, but. Unless anything groundbreaking happens, there's gonna be... There's gonna be, oh, he really popped at Family Night. That's just not the business. That I'm in, others may be, and more power to them.

For that, I also I wouldn't say I took some heat, but I saw some people criticize, um How I was shitting all over training camp. I'm just, I'm not taking a day. to go up to Green Bay living in Milwaukee. to watch training camp. I'll d I would do it for family night.

If the situation was right, I've done it for a preseason game. I don't even like doing it for regular season games. I'm I'm more prone To go On a road trip. Then I am Going to Green Bay because for whatever reason Like I'm going to New Orleans this year. Flying back from New Orleans to me seems Easier.

Then Driving back from Green Bay on a Sunday. Because you fly back on that Monday. Is another thing. Sunday, you drive back, and the games are on. I hate that part.

So I don't I don't love going to The best, even Monday night, Thursday night, Sunday night, but those are night games. I wish the Packers played it like a standalone game at 4 o'clock. On uh On a Saturday? That's the kind of game I would go to. We got a birthday, Buds5223.

It's his 40th birthday today. Don't spend it with me too long. Time for some happy place hemp lol. Happyplacehemp.com. Promo code is BART.

25% off each and every order. We're also here on this Friday night on the Dan Shaney YouTube stream, and now I can't stop looking at my hat. I can't stop looking. I'm wearing a Bucks hat. It's a flat brim, of course.

This is probably the first flat brim I actually bought that I was like, I'm going to be a flat brim guy. But as I look at this hat, there's a sticker underneath on the lid. And I can't stop looking at it now because In all my tweets about uh COVID this week. And all my tweets about COVID. One person It had a Long list of complaints to me that I'm one of these middle-aged white guys that wears a sticker on their lid.

So I'll take off the sticker. Because my profile picture has me in this hat, a little indentation of the flat brim. On my person.

So the sticker's off. To each their own. I usually do take these off. I don't think it's a fashion statement. Um I'm sorry.

To whom I've offended. One last, this is the last word podcast. I gotta get my last word out on Tariq Scoobel not coming to the brewers after Jeff Passen's article and tweets that were being shared around that today. And I gotta get my last word out. about um Aaron Rodgers.

I am going to root. For Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers. I'm Excited to watch McCarthy and Rogers together. McCarthy in Dallas I rooted for. But I didn't really care too much.

Rogers in New York, and even last year, I rooted against. But I don't even I didn't even care too much.

Now that they're both together, I care again. It's it's almost as if There are people that miss Chuck and Winkler. I heard from a lot of you yesterday. But you haven't come into the Winklerverse, and you're not over on the lockdown brewers. But if Chuck and Winkler were to be back, You might root for them.

as a duo.

So I want the Steelers to do well. I want it more for McCarthy. I think McCarthy knows he's got. A lot of years in that Pittsburgh job. One, he's from there.

Two, they don't fire coaches necessarily. They've had Chuck Noll, Bill Cower, Mike Tomlin. That takes you back 55 years.

So he knows he's probably got tenure, at least a good decade in this position.

So, this is just his first year. This is just a funny buddy cop reunion. This is just a, you know, everyone does sequels 30 years later. This is just that. This is just the Rodgers and McCarthy on the Steelers.

This is like Devilwares Prada 2. or whatever uh any of these movies that like They come out and they're back on. What's up, Matt? Monsieur. They come out and they're back on um Amazon Prime.

Like, hey, we got the whole cast together. Everyone's in their original costumes, 20 pounds fatter. But and that's also going like straight to D V D. If you're too young, you miss the straight-to-DVD era. You might even miss the straight-to-VHS era.

I remember Lion King came out. Huge hit. And then there was this movie called Lion King 1 and a Half, where it was like a sequel, but it wasn't, but it was straight to VHS. And so, any of these movies that were straight to VHS or straight to DVD are dog shit. And that seems like what this Rogers McCarthy thing is.

This is a straight to DVD reunion, but now in today's terms, it's. Just we're taking it off of theaters and putting it on Amazon Prime. Um Specifically, that is happening to this Madden movie. There's this Madden movie with Nick Cage. where he is Madden and they just announced this week that it's going to be just on Amazon Prime.

It was going to be in the theaters and now it's just coming out to prime this fall.

So That's not a good sign of your movie. No. If you're like me, you're the kid who savored every last drop of sugary milk at the bottom of your cereal bowl while watching Saturday morning cartoons. Cachafa's new flavor, cinnamon French toast, gives you a bit of that classic nostalgia. And I love that it's made with real cinnamon bark.

It's a comfort flavor, but with benefits and without the sugary drawbacks. There's no artificial colors, flavors, or sweeteners. I'm on my rewatch. WandaVision's good. Loki's good. Falcon in the Winter Soldier is good. Um Eternals wasn't bad, but it's so out of place.

The problem with Eternals Wasn't that It was a bad movie. It was that It was that they already introduced too many things. Let me do 30 seconds on this. In the MCU post-blip. You've had five years of no people.

You have a Hulk running around. You have the richest man in the world as a superhero with his army of, you know. suits You've got a Spider-Man, you've got an Ant-Man, you got a guy frozen in Captain America, you have a Sorcerer Supreme who can make portals and go anywhere. You've got aliens that have attacked New York. Tony Stark had to put a nuclear bomb through a wormhole.

You've got witches You've got sentient AI. You've got a city in Sokovia, a country that went up into the sky and fell down. You've had all these things happen already. Space Is ultimate everyone knows what a Thanos is? And then you introduce eternals, which is telling you the earth is actually a breeding ground for a celestial.

Too much. Too much. That's why Eternals failed. Too much. All right.

Uh so I'm done. I'm done on that. If I could go back in time, would I delete the multiverse aspect of the MCU? Mm-hmm. Um I think it'd be okay if They didn't do it, but eventually it was going to come.

There's been a lot of good to it. I think the problem was there was too many.

Well, the problem was Disney Plus. They put a lot of shows on Disney Plus, and they gave like every side character a show. And then they didn't follow through on some of these shows. Like, there's an interesting she-hulk universe where she's got superheroes, and superheroes come to her for her legal trouble. as a light way.

I still think there should have been a show during the blip. Like a normal family. Like someone's wife blipped away, and then he marries her sister, and then the wife comes back, and now he doesn't know what to fucking do. Those are the kind of shows I wanted to see. I'm skeptical about this Battle World thing and then.

whatever, and then they come back and Whatever. All right. Yeah, multiverse may be a no-coming back moment, but if there's no multiverse, there's no into the winklerverse. God knows only what we call this. All right, Tim.

You can edit all this out in post. I think only me and Jake here. really care about this at this uh at this time. I do want to play this from Aaron Rodgers. It's not from Aaron Rodgers.

It's actually from Nick Wright. I'm going to play this from Nick Wright. And then I'm going to get a little... A little controversial.

Okay, I'm going to get a little controversial. This is from Nick Wright. It's his podcast, What's Right with Nick Wright? I think his message is good. But I think people don't like the messenger.

And I want to Explain that in a minute.

So while I'm rooting for the Rodgers. McCarthy reunion. I don't like whatever this was with McAfee this week. And I do think Nick Wright does a good job. Of describing why it's so egregious and offensive.

This fake universe of martyrdom where he took a stand no one else was willing to take and he paid a happy price for it. It's not what fucking happened. Aaron got criticized. Because he lied without directly lying, knew he was doing it, and people didn't like that. That instead of having the courage of his convictions, he has now.

Six years ago. He instead passed the buck, did a little play on words. Yeah, I've been immunized, and then kept that ruse running for until he got caught. That's what he was criticized for. He got more and more criticized because he wouldn't stop talking about this.

years later and then kept upping the ante On his kooky conspiratorial stuff when he tried to bring Jimmy Kimmel into the Epstein list and the other nonsense he tried to peddle us, and just all this. Just mouth vomit bullshit that people got sick of. To go on top of the fact that he didn't seem to be a very good leader, a lot of pointing fingers instead of pointing thumbs, there was just so much obvious bullshit that he just. became for a lot of us A non-credible person, and instead of taking any accountability for any of that, he's like, nope. I just bravely wouldn't get that toxic shot, and now I've been proven right, and you all owe me an apology.

It's just such nonsense. Yeah. Uh Bruce says Nick Wright ain't wrong here at all. And that's why I played it. Because he's not.

Nick Wright is accurate in everything that he said. Rogers is the one with revisionist history here. Ethan, a thousand percent agree with Nick. When this whole thing happened Okay? Rogers said, yeah, I've been immunized.

which was a head scratcher, But no one followed up on it. Even with years of Rogers saying, We're, and I say the folks thing a lot. Yeah, I was with my folks. And that he just meant his friends, but now he's with his folks. I'm bringing this up.

Again, we're putting a bow on things. I'm bringing this up one more time. Um who the fuck is Nick Wright? I don't know. I mean He's on TV every day.

But there are two Americas.

So, I mean, Hillary Duff sold out MSG, which, okay, good, but then she had the crowd going crazy for a song I never heard. The Voice. I was watching a promo for the voice, and they're like, and also coming out. Who's the latest country singer? Caleb Randall.

or some fucking guy. There's like a new guy. Every country singer is the same. They're 37 years old. They've got either Zach, Nick, Luke, or Brian in their name.

And I don't know where the fuck they came from. And they all look the same. What's T V? All right. Fair enough.

But Nick is 100% right.

So yes. Rogers. People are mad at you because you deceived. And you're being all braved. You're being all brave, but In the beginning, you were trying to play both sides.

You didn't stand up for what you believed in. You believe in it now, but you didn't then. Or you believed in it then, but you didn't want to come forward. And now you won't shut up about it. You're taking victory laps.

Just because Fauci talked in front of Congress and said, I plead the fifth, all of a sudden everyone was right the whole time. A lot of things that happen in COVID will never happen again. And I think that the unknown of it. led to what we look back now and say could have been some overreactions. Like not letting people golf or go to parks.

We didn't know what was going on. I don't think, I don't think people don't. I don't think people. Like, do you not remember how fucked up everything was? Like, we don't know what this is.

I think people just forgot about the beginning of COVID. when we all thought we could die.

Now maybe you are bold and strong. But I had a six-month-old at home, and I had a job where it was to talk about sports for a living. I was worried about that. And I was worried about my kid.

So I wanted COVID to end.

Well, that's I mean, I just wanted COVID to be over with. I felt like everybody else wanted to continue. Fucking three weeks after COVID. More people go to Sturgis than ever before.

Well yeah, that doesn't seem like a good fucking idea. But anyway, Rogers Kirk Cousins didn't get the shot. Mentioned it once. You don't hear Kirk Cousins still bringing it up. I'm Pat McAfee every time he gets.

Rogers feels wronged. You know who wronged Rogers? Himself by not standing up for what he believed in right away.

So now he's got to backtrack this whole fucking time. And then, when I go captain COVID online, I understand it fucked up a lot of shit. I understand Small businesses, big businesses. People had a hard time. Things change.

Kids lost their senior year. Kids lost. Fifth grade. I couldn't imagine being a kid during that. The people that are online still litigating this now.

They're not those people. The people that are online, still upset about it now, are the people like Aaron Rodgers, where it was a minor. Infraction. People online aren't arguing now because they lost their business. The people arguing online now are people that had to wear a mask in a Starbucks.

So that's that's what's happening now.

So Rogers It's just annoying that it always has to, and ESPN. Do you understand? Do you understand? Mason Crosby's not allowed to say the name Bart Winkler on the fan. But Aaron Rodgers and Pat McAfee can just shit on Tony Fauci for a half hour.

And if you want to shit on Tony Fauci for a half hour, go ahead. If that's what you want to do, if you don't like Tony Fauci, Anthony Fauci, if you don't like him, go ahead. There's plenty of vehicles on television. to do that. Buy an infomercial.

Go on one of the news outlets. E S P N E S P N ESPN used to mean something. Right. And they still have a lot of great programming. They still have sports centers.

But right now, what are you getting with ESPN? I'm talking ESPN TV. McAfee does whatever he wants. Stephen A. Smith does whatever he wants.

These guys get a shitload of money as they lay off Karl Ravich and still make him work. Pardon the interruption, gets thirty little minutes. Sports Center, and I love wrestling, but. Seth Rollins doesn't need to be on every. You want to watch sports TV, Seth Rollins is either on good morning football or he's on fucking first take.

What is going on? What the fuck is going on? Yeah, we can all say the R word now. That's what Ethan says. Yeah, I got called R a lot, I got called F a lot.

I don't understand how people are so just so glib with saying all this. The problem with the whole situation was how there was no debate allowed. Dissenters were silenced. It was a messed up time. I can tell you right now that would there be another pandemic?

The same things will not happen.

Society won't allow it. I just like I hope it's not a worse one because Mean. You know. When you're a maintenance engineer in a beverage manufacturing plant, You keep production lines moving and quality on track because there is no room for slowdowns. With Granger's vast selection of high quality motors, sensors, belts, and hard-to-find parts, you can get what you need fast and all in one place.

So nothing gets in the way of getting the job done. Call 1-800GRANGER, clickranger.com, or just stop by. GRANGER, for the ones who get it done.

Well, what do you got here? Where's this going? Where's this going? All right. So that's my last word on that.

I meant to bring up the brewer thing first. And while I bring up the brewers, Let me say this. This is the main this is the main reason. No, I'm done with it now. This is my Friday News Dump edition.

Okay. I'm done. The tailgate. Let me tell you about this tailgate we did. It was great.

Thank you to everybody that showed up. The Winkler Verse put on a tailgate a couple of years ago. It was very hot. And it was very good. It was a success.

A lot of people showed up. It was a success. Um I wanted to learn from that.

So we did basically the same thing, we just didn't buy a parking grid. We were in the Moliter lot. The first row? Right by the ride share. And we had a good amount of space and we had a couple of grills running, Patty.

Shout out, Patty brought her a grill, Tim Shea had a grill, my dad had a grill. I had a grill I didn't even need to use, thank God, because it was the only charcoal one there. The beer that I bought pretty much got drank. The Celts drank? I do have a lot of meat left over.

I made two big mistakes. One, I bought forty eight burgers and left them in my freezer.

So I had to run to a store at 9:50 in the morning to get more burgers. And uh I also had two veggie trays which I still have in my fridge. I was trying to put stuff away in my fridge last night. I was like, why can't what is in this drawer? Oh shit, I forgot I bought.

$30 worth of veggie trays. Oops. But, you know, that was my dinner. My dinner last night was pretty much carrots, broccoli. Tomatoes and ranch.

And this bag of chili lime Doritos, someone brought and it didn't get opened. I brought that home. Ooh, I can't stop beating him. I did not have the old-fashioned. I did not have the old-fashioned.

Jake says tailgate was beautiful, positive vibes off the chart. was an honor to be there. And it was fun. A lot of people that you might know from the Winkler verse. That joy me got to be there.

A lot of people that. Support and maybe even don't comment, but they got to be there. It was a really fun time. We had a raffle. Again, another shout out to the brewers for giving us these items.

A Jackson Churio baseball autographed, a cribbage board, bobbleheads. There was some game-worn merchandise that I have. I'm wearing one right now. News Channel 8. Polo, it says it says flood 2007 on the back.

My mom stroked Jake's beard. My mom called hot jake take hot. It's on video. I posted it online.

So, we did a live stream for two hours of the tailgate. You can look at that if you want. I also condensed it down to like the 30 minutes where people were actually talking in front of the camera.

So, those are available on the YouTube. But it was great. Thanks to everybody for coming. Um Thanks if you brought something. If you didn't, I mean, thanks for being there.

I just want people to be there. I just want people to be there. And it was fun, and we'll do it again pending the lockout. But we'll do it again. I just, I'm going to be eating brats and burgers for the rest of April or August.

I did overbuy. You want to overbuy and not under buy. But I even overbought on the overbuy. I bought a little a little too much.

So we'll be eating brats and burgers around here and veggie trays. for a good long time. in the winkler Um Abode.

So yeah, it was really good. Just great to get everybody together. And that's that, like, it's good for me to see you. I like to see you. But then for other people to see each other And then even people that come on.

People are excited to see an Austin or a Jake or a Ben. Or a core, you know, they're excited. It's great to get. a bunch of people together.

So I'm glad that we did that. And maybe we'll try another non-brewer thing at some point. Or maybe we'll try a weekend one of these times. But whatever, this was fun. And Dan Shaney was there, and Carl of Carl's place was there, and it was fun to see those guys.

So, yeah, it was just great. Red Baron, sorry I couldn't be there. Shout out to the Winklerverse. It was just fun. It was just fun.

And I thank everybody for coming. Um I just said it means a lot. And you guys know that, but it means a lot. I gotta wrap up this brewer thing. with Tarek Skubel.

My stance has been this whole time that The Tigers were never going to trade Tarek Schubel to the Brewers. And my first opinion was: there's collusion. The Tigers want to strike. They want to lock out. They want the Dodgers to win.

If a small market team wins the World Series the year before a lockout. The lockout's happening regardless of who wins in the World Series. And regardless where Terek Skoogle's playing.

Okay. Thanks, Ben. Thanks. Ben says, feelings are mutual, means a lot to us too. Thank you, Bart.

The lockout's happening regardless. But If the Dodgers win. Let's say, or another big market team. We, as fans, are going to be so riled up. The Dodgers already have become this public enemy.

They want to ruin baseball. They're winning World Series. They've deferred all these contracts, which no one else can do. They have a weird TV deal. They've got an exemption from MLB.

They can buy whoever they want. They can trade for whoever they want. They could do all these things. that other teams can't. Shohei gambled and got away with it.

Allegedly. They can do all these things.

So they are, this has been percolating. Like the Astros, oh you cheated fuck you We all got mad at them, but the Dodgers have been building this. One of the things people are saying right now about Marvel is: there's not enough build for Doctor Doom. There's enough build for the LA Dodgers to be the big bad here.

So, if you go into a lockout and the Brewers are the team that won the World Series. Fans are going to be like, is this really necessary? A small market team just won. We'd rather have baseball. But if the Dodgers win again, oh, we got it.

I mean, yes, I'm happy to not have baseball. We have to fucking do something. That becomes that becomes the that becomes the MO.

So, I do think there is some of that going on. But also, the Tigers just weren't gonna trade to Milwaukee for whatever other reason. Maybe the Tigers see the kind of deals. that Matt Arnold's doing. And he's like, I don't know, man, if the brewers like your guy.

All of a sudden, you get a Kyle Harrison for a Caleb Durbin.

Now, Caleb's come alive. Red Sox are winning a bunch of games. Caleb's now become like Boston's least favorite player ever to their. Face of the franchise. I'm pumped to see Caleb.

turning things around. But even the other guys involved in that deal are contributing. But maybe there's just like the Brewers seem to fleece guys. I don't want to trade with the Brewers. Maybe some of that's going on.

I'm getting upset here. This is from the Jeff Passon article. This is from the Jeff Passon article. That was on ESPN today, got aggregated a bunch. and people have been talking about it.

So I will read a couple of paragraphs here. from Jeff Passen. Yeah. For Milwaukee, the opportunity to pair Scuba with Mizarowski, the best pitcher in baseball this season, and offer a real hurdle for the Dodgers. animated the brewers trade deadline.

They've built a juggernaut. Three consecutive division titles, seven playoff spots in eight years, despite one of the lowest payrolls in baseball. The Dodgers have a payroll of $339 million. Their luxury tax bill is $180 million. The Brewers' entire payroll is $1.44.

So in this article, Passen says the brewers told Detroit right away: Jesus Made, not available, number one prospect. We can't give them to you.

Okay, fine. Going into the deadline season, ESPN's prospect analyst has a top 100 of his own, seven brewers on that list. Other AL teams agreed. Yes, top 107 brewers are on that list. Accordingly, the Brewers' list of untouchables went beyond Monday.

They wouldn't move Cooper Pratt or Luis Lara. Both of those guys are on long-term deals.

So the brewers have been signing these guys to extensions and then bringing them up. And then Logan Henderson, five years of control, off limits as well. Inside the Brewer's War Room were Go for it advocates, stay the course dogmatist. Jesus, a lot. Just say some wanted to trade, some didn't.

and those in between. We have to go for it, but what if it doesn't work? We have to go for what if it doesn't work. I think the Brewers tried. I think Grant.

I just posted this reel earlier today. Where Grant said on mm-hmm this week. He thinks like the brewers thought they were probably getting scuba. They thought they might have had enough. And even the reported trade packages, you could match up to the Dodgers.

And 29 of 30 executives are probably going to take the Brewers deal over to the Dodgers, but the one was the Tigers. This is what I think happened in some sort of way, if I can describe this. The Brewers had more to offer than the Dodgers did. Which hurts when you want to make a trade.

Okay? The Tigers have this asset. They could trade him to the Dodgers and get a bunch of pieces that they would think is fair value for a rental. But the brewers are better.

So if you make a trade with the Dodgers. You can't ask for more because they don't have what the brewers have. You're going to ask for something. and you're gonna push them a little bit and they'll say, fine, because still these guys aren't clearing what the brewers have. The brewers are hindered because they have the more attractive item.

The Dodgers, I don't think, are saying We're putting anyone off the market. The brewers have guys that they can say that.

Sometimes when you have a better Worcester Hall or group of prospects It's actually harder to trade. Because teams won't make a trade with you unless you give them your number one guy. We want your number one guy. If your number one guy isn't number one in all of baseball, it's easier to make a deal. Because they don't have a shiny object.

You're going to kind of keep trading until you get that shiny object. We have Scubal, give us Made. Because you have something that we value too. But if the brewers had lesser guys, the prospect, the farm system might just be too good. is what I'm saying.

It's harder to trade when your assets are better than the other teams because they want your assets and won't settle for anything less than the top. If the Dodgers don't have what the brewers can offer, it's easier to make a trade with the Dodgers because you're not feeling like, oh, we got fleece because we didn't get the real guy we wanted.

So I think it actually hurt the brewers in some way. I think the brewers long term, all these guys are going to be capable, good, fine, maybe even great. And it is, when do you go for it? When do you not? I still would have liked the brewers to do more at the trade deadline.

Mason Miller. We wanted him, right? A bat. This trade goes down Saturday, still another 40 hours, and no other trade. No bat.

This team has constructed will probably lose to that rotation, and I don't think they're going to score enough runs either. And I don't think we're going to prevent enough runs against the Dodgers lineup.

Now they play in a seven-game series. Sure, there's a chance the Brewers beat the Dodgers. But we're probably around 15 to 20%.

So we're probably in a one out of every five series. Is that even too high? Should I be like one out of ten? Is that even too high? I don't know.

I think The Brewers really tried to make some big moves. I also think they could have done a little more. But I don't hold it against them for not getting scubable because that was not their decision to make. The Tigers from Jump. seem fine with this.

The biggest piece of evidence to me is when they made the trade. What was the rush to make the trade on Saturday night? It got Scoobel a start at Wrigley. which he lost. But it got him a start at Wrigley.

Um But you could have easily taken that offer and shopped him around. to other places. And that just did not happen. Again, I don't blame the brewers. They could have done more.

They already said they were being irresponsible. If if we're at a game Thursday we're Scoobles on the mound and You know, not Dustin May. You know, I was excited to be there for a May Day. Yeah, that would have been more exciting, and this whole race would be more exciting. Right now we're just kind of in a We're kind of in a waiting period right now with the Brewers.

And it's still going to be fun. I'm going to try to go to a couple games here. Yeah, this summer. Um it's still gonna be fun. But it's about winning.

Oh, game just started. It's about winning. And he got his stack wins. Try to get the one seed. Try to get home field.

Try to get whatever you can. Brewers right now into today, 72 and 43. Still five and a half games up over the Cubs. Yeah. So What are they in the National League?

Two games up over the Braves, three over the Dodgers. Braids have won eight in a row. Dodgers have lost six in a row, actually. Cubs have been winning. Brewers losing Monday to the Pirates and then winning the rest of that series.

It's just at a point where keep winning, keep winning, keep winning, but things aren't really going to start for us until we get to the postseason. Right. Especially because we're in pole position now. We have nothing to chase. We just kind of have to hold everybody off.

Win our fourth division title, get to the playoffs for the eighth time in nine years. And then and then go from there.

So You know, going to the game Thursday, the tailgate more fun than the game. The tailgate was fun. The game was like, all right, now we got to watch a baseball game. And they won and there were some good plays, exciting. Game ended on a review.

Chario Homer, Sanchez Homer. Um Cooper Pratt got punched in the dick. It's pretty fucked up. Walked it off. But we got to be in playoff mode.

That being said, I'm going to watch the game now. And I'll turn on Family Night for a little bit and then we'll watch SmackDown and that will be it. Pretty fatigued. I just woke up from a two-hour nap, actually. The uh The day was long yesterday, and also I'm sick.

Good time to get a cold in the in the dead of summer. Good time. Good time. All right, good to be with you guys. Have a great Friday night.

Have a great weekend. We'll be back on Monday with a National Perspective with Carlos Ortiz. Mm-hmm. Mm-mm.

Next week. Before I promise it, let me just see. Could do a Packers. No, I won't. I won't be able to do a Packers Steelers preseason postgame next week.

My apologies on that. But we'll break it all down Friday morning. We'll do a little Friday morning QB. How about that? Yeah, good point from Neil.

Dodgers had first-rate of refusal. Didn't matter what the brewers offered or didn't offer. Tigers went to the Dodgers. Wanted to make the sale. That's what they wanted, that's what they got.

And everyone's shitting on the brewers for not like... What are they supposed to do? Tap their phones, hijack the call, take the Dodgers hostage? What the fuck are they supposed to do? I don't know.

We'll be back on Monday. Have a great weekend, and thanks for stopping into the Winklerverse. Snoring, gasping for air during sleep, daytime sleepiness?
