Uh See everybody. By the dawn's early light. O'er the ramparts we watched. We're so gallantly streaming. There's people upstairs.
I'm singing, and my floors are. Thin. Great to be with you, everybody. I am Bart Winkler. Welcome into the Winklerverse.
If you are on Twitter or watching live, please help share this. Please retweet. I have to think this is the only post-game podcast. in Milwaukee slash Wisconsin. Maybe elsewhere.
We are rocking, we are rolling, we are celebrating a 2-0 victory for the USA over Australia in the World Cup. I believe. Let me make sure I have this right. I believe it is the first time the USA has won consecutive games. in a world cup Since nineteen thirty And the USA also, for the first time ever.
became a team to benefit. Off two own goals in two consecutive games.
So, an own goal in the first game and an own goal in the game against Australia today.
So, incredible stuff, incredible scenes from Seattle. This is exactly what we needed. This is exactly what we hoped for. And today, I think the first game. The first game, which I was going to go live for it and did not, but the first game, the 4-1 win over Paraguay, was.
Wow, look at this.
Something's happening here. This is very exciting. We've never had a team like this. What could the potential be? And the second game against Australia today, we find the news that Palisic's out.
Pepe steps in for him very admirably. We find that news, so you might be a little apprehensive, but there was really no fear. I don't think him being out. Was going to be a detriment, and it obviously wasn't because they won 2-0. But I still feel like.
It didn't do anything to diminish the vibe that I felt on my living room in Shorewood, watching these scenes from Seattle, watching these scenes around the country, seeing everybody that was flooding into that stadium. We'll call it Seattle Stadium to stay in line with FIFA, but seeing all these scenes. And Really, the big fight feel that this game had. The confidence that this program has right now, the determination that they have, this is unlike any time in American soccer history because it's also all happening here. It's happening on our soil.
Now it's happening on the west coast. I wish it was happening closer to home. And I'm a little. Charred that Chicago decided they were too good for this because I would love to be there just for any game, watching everybody celebrate all over the place. But yeah, this is a great win, a 2-0 win over Australia.
We'll talk more about the game. I've got the link that I have thrown out on Twitter. I'll throw it out here. Corey's live on the scene at Nomad, going to try to get in touch with him. There's somebody else we're going to try to get in touch with that's at the game.
You guys, of course, can join and jump in, jump out, jump out, jump in as much as you want. But I'm going to be talking about this game and this team for a little bit here and really everything else surrounding the World Cup. Brought to you by Happy PlayStation: promo codes BART, 25% off each and every order. They label it right on there how many milligrams. I say that because in Seattle, the amount of people that have been going to hospital for because things are a little stronger out in Washington.
So they're trying to tell people: okay, if you have. Uh if you have any, um just be careful. There's been some, there's been some, they're telling people that.
So. Thank you to Happy Place Hemp. It's labeled right on there: 25% off each and every order. Also, Carl's Place and the Dan Shaney insurance. YouTube stream is where you can find us.
Just a couple flags thrown up from Derek after dark. Comment away, share this if you can. uh retweets or anything First pot in a couple of days. Because I've been saving my voice. For this, also, I've been watching a World Cup.
I try to tell my wife that watching eight hours of soccer a day is very exhausting as she's busting 60 some hours a week. At her job, and she just looked at me like, What the fuck are you talking about? But it is eight hours of sucker. I got my first World Cup nap in there the other day. I wasn't sure if I was gonna make it for one of those 11 p.m.
starts Central Time, Turkey and Paraguay tonight, 11 p.m. We're gonna have to stay up for that.
So don't get too wild, don't get too crazy. This is the first time I've watched a USA game. at my home in a World Cup probably Yeah. Probably since the oh, I don't know. Maybe 2010 World Cup, I had some people over, but 14 I was out at Three Lions.
18. What did we do in 18? Oh, yeah, the USA didn't make it. 2022, I was I was out with Milwaukee Pro Soccer. RIP or TBD, we're still not really sure.
About that, and then now. uh able to get in for the uh Game of three Lions, and we'll probably want to be out next week as next week's games take on some different meaning with them advancing. They've advanced. The USA is advancing to the round of 32, the knockout round, and I'll show you what the bracket might look like, look like in a little bit there. But this is as good as it could have gone for the United States so far: a 4-1 win, and now a 2-0 win against Australia today.
I'll pull up the box score from ESPN because you can see on it, if you're watching on the video, or I'll explain it to you, you can see on it the match. like flow.
So at the beginning of the game, the flow and the possession was with Australia. USA scores. They kept possession pretty much then for the rest of the first half. As they kept then possession in the second half, it was after that second hydration break and the USA went for more defensive subs that Australia really started to pound and have possession and get some more shots and make things a little scary for the United States. Just starting with the beginning of the game.
It was it was Like if you told anybody 2-0. At the beginning of the game. You might think, ah. Ah, two nothing who. Because Australia was peppering USA.
I don't Think that they look shaky, but it was just like strenuous times. Australia was getting in there, they were finding ways, they were chipping a little bit. It did look like they would eventually score one for them not to have scored one in this in this entire game. Is an incredible achievement to USA because they certainly had their chances, and the USA, my concern with them. is this is a team.
that has had good goalkeeping. But They always have like brain fart moments. Even your Friedels and your Kellers and your Guzans. You don't shut out a lot of teams. You tie or you let one in.
That's been where my fear has been: you got to score a couple because you're going to give up one.
Well, they did score a couple and they didn't give up any. And I think that's a huge testament to the defense played really strong. This was a very physical match. It was a very physical game, and the U.S. held their own.
Picked up a few yellow cards, but did good not to get any reds in there. But this was a physical game, and the USA was able to. To obviously keep the clean sheet and the shutout. And that is where I really wanted Especially in the second half, let's key shout out. I know Alexi Lalis's pep time or halftime pep talk was very inspirational.
They can't hang. Finish them. Yeah. But I think Australia, what they were going to continue to look to do. Because they were kind of in our boat today.
Australia came in with a 2-0 winner. Where the hell am I? What was that? Just everyone confirm. That I am good.
I don't know what is going on. Maybe so many people are flooding the post-game show. That uh What the fuck was that? A little hiccup there. Um but they were pressuring and they were Physical and yeah, we picked up some more yellow cards than you would like.
But thankfully they were not of the red card. Variety.
So that was very, very good and promising there.
So they get that first goal, and it's an own goal again.
So all of a sudden. We're own gold merchants. And I think I'm going to have to go to my phone Wi-Fi. All right, things should be less spotty. John says, never in my lifetime.
Did I think Team USA would win two games in group play? for the World Cup. They haven't won two games consecutively since 1930. This is what you are seeing is truly unprecedented.
So, as I rock this $13 hat, not a flat brim. They didn't have them. at Walgreens today. As I rock this $13 hat. There's a lot of excitement for the World Cup.
For maybe three different reasons. One is that it's here. And so, well, I'll get into that in a second. Let's go to Corey. Who's that Nomad?
Corey, you got me. I got you good. Hey, hey, I'm just actually just leaving Nomad. I'm on the bike path. that leads you from Brady Street on to uh I don't know, is that the Hank Aaron Trail?
Whatever, the Oakleaf Trail? I think it's the Oakleaf Trail. Yeah, it might be oak leaf.
So I'm heading down to Summerfest, but I was just at the Nomad. Uh great crowd. Yeah, I want to share some of the video. That you sent me, at least after that second goal, by Antonio Freeman's kid. Yeah, amazing.
So I haven't gotten into that yet, but there was an offsides. And then they showed the replay. And I was very convinced it was not an offsides. As was the broadcast. And so then the official watched it on VAR.
I do have it. I'll share it. And you had the reaction at Nomad, and here we go. Bullshit. Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah. The cold scara was not enough packet. Great means that no man. You are saying, you are saying, you are saying, you are saying.
I'm glad you took the bike because I tried to park there last night for Mexico. And I found a perfect parking spot right away, and then I passed it up like an idiot. And then I circled around for 25 minutes and then I just went down over to. The Toms, but yeah, they fill up, and then I think, like, Brady, Brady's got to love Nomad because there's people all the way down Brady that were like, I can't get into Nomad, I'll just hear. But Nomad, Nomad's one of the great places to be for sure.
Yeah, I had buddies who I met up with that were at Joe Cats for the first half, and then. They kind of stopped letting people in for the first, like at the initial kickoff, but then let people in at halftime. Um and so yeah, I mean all these bars are just booming. Yeah. Three lines is hopping.
I was there the other night. I haven't been down to Highberry yet. In this cup, Moran's Pub on the South Side or South Milwaukee, you wanna get to, there's a lot of great spots. Tom's, of course, been to a couple of times. Um, the whole, was the second, like crowd wise.
I think the first half is very engaging. In the second half, I would assume it was. Like a lot of drinking and then some tense moments at the end, or what was it? Yeah, it was, yeah, pretty much. It was, it was like now you're just starting to like bullshit with your friends and.
Um, you know, what are your plans for the summer kind of type thing? Uh, you know, and then and then, yeah, there'd be like the play, and then they'd lock, you know, there'd be a stop and every cheer. But You know, the intensity was off. You know, it felt like at halftime it was pretty much settled. Yeah, the game felt like it was over.
Australia had a push at the end, and this is all stuff we'll talk about. I just, the experience of watching soccer with other people. Like you see the videos, and I just shared that one, but the ones they show on TV. You just, and we had a couple people over because I can't watch these games alone. I just cannot watch.
These games alone. You can't, I just cannot do it. You have to watch these games with people because Even seeing like some of the scenes from Mexico last night, or some of the other teams, like when they score, just that euphoric rush. What was the video I had where the team, they saw they scored first on the phone, and then they like waited. Just like, it's just, it's just the best, man.
There's just, there is nothing like this. There's nothing like this at all. It's just so fun to watch with like a whole group, you know, like this environment. I've watched. You know, in a big Packer setting or a big, you know, like I watched game five of.
Brewers Cubs over at the Cooper's last year, but I mean, watching soccer, it's just it it's a different animal. You know, and just everybody is. Because it's all about like one big moment. You know, and leading up to it, and then you watch the momentum shift, and then you see how these teams just hold on to that momentum, and it's just incredible. It's a lot of fun.
Yeah, not that like big home runs don't elicit a big cheer or big touchdowns, but these goals are so few and far between. Exactly. The Columbia goals that they almost took that stadium down when Columbia was scoring because it's just like. And then the broadcast is doing a really good job of just letting the crowd and and soaking it up. It's just it's unbelievable.
Yeah, we uh me and me and my buddy and our the guitar player and my band, we tried to go over to Zocalo on Tuesday night for the Columbia match. And we watched the first half there, and we were hoping that it'd be outside, but. They closed a little bit earlier and it was raining, and so they just decided to close off the parking lot. I want to get over there for.
Some like Hispanic game. I think that'll be a lot of fun, whether it be Mexico or the next Columbia game or. or whatever, I I think that that'll be a a ton of fun. Just to hang out and see like that vibe. Yeah, the for the opening game I went to there for the first for the second half.
Mm-hmm. And it was it was just it's It's fun. I wish we had, I said this yesterday, but. I wish we had like more pockets. Of, like, oh, it's South Korea playing.
There's a South Korean bar over there. I don't know. Yeah, right. Yeah, like the Croatian. They have a soccer club and last cup I went down and watched a game with them, but That was by like...
Okay. I don't know that I wouldn't send people to go there. They got their own club. Yeah, Milwaukee's been working for a Chinatown for a long time. Yeah, I just don't know where to go.
Like, who plays next? Um, Scotland. Where am I going to watch Scotland? I guess Three Lions? You just assume.
Morocco. Do we have any Moroccan fan bases here? Brazil tonight. Where do I go for that? I don't know.
Some, you know. Maybe like a little like secret spot would be uh like Chiva's over on what is that like Ninth and Pierce. Um it's all Hispanic. You know, like they're super friendly. I think you might be able to find like that kind of Venn diagram mix over there.
Where I think I think you could find like some a pretty good little crowd. It'll be indoors and it'll be very dive-y, you know, but but also like three dollar modellos. Like tomorrow night, Tunisia, Japan at 11 o'clock. Yeah, where do you go for that? Yeah.
I'm going to be at SummerFest and probably miss it. Yeah, that that would be like a a fun matchup if you could find the right setting for it, for sure. I mean, I just, that's what I. That's what I want because you see that like in New York, and I don't know. I just maybe I go down to Chicago for one of these weird-ass games.
Who knows? I might take my kid out for Argentina, Austria on Monday. Oh, yeah, he's got to see Messi. We want to with like a huge crowd and just see how like respected that guy is. We watched some of Messi the other night, and I just thought it was the best because.
It's messy. There's so many people that love messy. These kids know Messi, but I don't know how many times they've actually watched Messi. Like, you have how many inner Miami games are you watching? But here, Argentina prime time.
Yeah, happened to score a fucking hat trick. Right. I mean, yeah, if everybody's watching. Inner Miami and Argentina is like Burger King and I don't know, some five-star Metland restaurant in New York. Right?
I mean Yeah, but that was. That was good. What are you doing the rest of the day? Summerfest today? Yeah, I'm heading down to Summerfest.
I've got relatives in town from Traverse City, Michigan area.
So I'm gonna go meet up with them and then we're gonna go just check out like Ammo and the Sniffers. Uh tomorrow night parade in Chicago. Uh, from Chicago is playing, and so yeah, just just catching like different like punk bands, indie bands, whatever.
So, dude, thanks for jumping on. Absolutely. I mean, and now, like, I think, I don't know, do we scoreboard watch like in the because if What if Turkey wins or draws? We can basically just shut down like everybody. Polistic doesn't need to play.
You know, give him extra time to get healthy. Let McKinney sit, let all these guys sit if they can. you know, maybe there's subs in the second part, but You can just kind of treat Turkey as just almost as like a bye week, right?
Well, it's Turkey A now, apparently. Yeah, sure. Um Remember that. But yeah, now it's, it's. The tiebreaker is head-to-head first and not goals, which.
It's causing maybe some chaos or some change in group A with Mexico, but yeah. The USA is, they're in the round of 32. I would like to win the group. I'll go through the brackets there later, but that would be very nice because then, yeah, you are going to look at next week's Thursday as you're sitting your stop, your top dudes. You're definitely sitting because if you're going to win this tournament.
Which I'm not even close to thinking that that's no, no, no, never. But if you are. That's like seven games. You gotta win eight games. You gotta get a lot of fucking games in a row.
So, if you get the chance to sit, guys, you're going to do it. Yeah, rest them all up. Get them all healthy. Get everybody ready to go 100% and just go falls out. Thanks for hopping on.
Thanks for the videos. Absolutely. Yeah, let's get together for a game. We'll talk on the text line. All right.
That sounds good. All right. See you, Bartie. There is Corey in Cream City joining us live from just outside Nomad. Off of Brady.
Derek, shout out Scotland. And Vincent. Hey, buddy, we just had a talk. Go, go, USA.
So, good stuff there. From you guys, the link is up if anybody wants. To join a lot of different things that Corey went over that I do want to continue to talk to. The thing that I was talking about is this World Cup feels different for maybe three different reasons. One is that it's here, it's here, and so you're starting to feel.
The Passion from other fan bases coming here, and you can't. Avoid the World Cup, the World Cup. And the further they go and the deeper it is, the more it's going to balloon up.
So that's fun. The other is there's people that are not. That's interested in soccer. or interested in a way that the Olympics are interesting. Like they're not these guys that hate soccer.
And I think that that shtick has seemed to end. I mean, I just have not got a lot of this, what is soccer and, you know, the names. Because it's we just what's the point of that? Um, there is no point.
Soccer rules. From the standpoint of people that are, I'm talking super casuals, as there seem to be some that have popped in here. 73 P dubs just sat through a soccer game for the first time. Don't understand a thing other than where the ball is supposed to end up, but I was so excited. Patty just watched my first soccer game ever.
I don't understand a damn thing, but I was excited. I just know where the ball is supposed to end up.
So similar thoughts there. But yeah, so just like in swimming, when you're like, hey, Michael Phelps, he won two medals. Good. Yeah, USA. Oh, he won four medals.
Oh, okay. He's going for his fifth. I should probably watch this. That's what it will draw you in. The same way, admittedly, that like I, as a less than casual with the UFC, I watched that fight on Sunday night because That did.
You know, once something gets big enough, you have to take a look. And you have to watch, and that's what's drawing it in. The other aspect of this. It is The diehards. The Sam's army The rider die.
The people who have been into it We can't believe that this team is this good. Six to one outscoring their opponents in the first two games. Unheard of the 4-1 game unheard of. The two own gulls unheard of.
Well, USA actually does pretty good in that department. We've scored a lot of goals on that. The shutout, the atmosphere, the scenes. All of just just like Back in 1994. When soccer was here in the World Cup.
You think, is this really going to ever be anything? And the way that the team has progressed. Couple of steps forward, couple of steps back. I saw a tweet. It might have been from one of the Men in Blazers guys or another guy who covers soccer.
Ian Dark, it was, Ian Dark, the commentator. USA fell out of that, we fell out of love with this team in 2018. Because they lost to Trinidad and Tobago on the road, a team they should have beat. Two to one. They lost two to one, didn't make the World Cup.
And we had to watch that World Cup in Russia without the United States. They made it in Qatar in 2022, and they did get to the next round and lost to Netherlands. But you know, there was some excitement there, but it was still, it was still the old USA playing. In current form. And what I mean by the old USA is defense and counter.
Get a strong goalkeeper. Still might be a blemish, but if you ever win. It's not going to be because you won. It's going to be because. Yeah.
You're never going to out-possess a team in these games. And what we've seen from the first two games is They are controlling the possession. They are controlling the clock. They are controlling the ball. I want to see.
I can't find a percentage. Of possession. Here we go. 62%. They had the ball for 62% of the time.
And they only took two shots on goal. Uh but they both Went in. The expected goal. Stat is the U.S. was expected to win a game like this, played on the field, expected to win 1.3 to 0.4.
So, I mean, this was a game that they should have won. And this was a game that that they did win. And that is what is so different. about this time. And we'll see.
They could get shockingly upset in the round of 32, and it would be an upset. Or they could go to the round of 16 and and bow out and lose. But right now, where we sit right now. The USA has never been like this. on a world stage.
In a hundred years, because yeah, wh whatever the 1930 World Cup was, they took a third. I don't know how. but they've never been like this what you are seeing is never The USA, there's all this hype, there's all this emotion, there's all this fandom. They could have easily tied Paraguay. Tight Australia.
I didn't expect him to win both games. And this is a group that we should have got out of, at least top two. And now Turkey A is coming up. But This is like If you are one of these bandwagon fans. Or whatever.
It doesn't. I don't want to use the word bandwagon. Yeah, Lisa, come on in. Uh I don't want to use the word bandwagon, but if you are one of these fans that You don't catch soccer except for every four years, and you don't follow the. Qualifying, and you don't check out the friendlies.
And you're like, wow, this is great. This is unprecedentedly great for this team. For this country. This is this is not This is not how they normally play. This is not what we expect.
Ever At all. Jeff says it's just nice to see you happy, Bart. Yeah. Well, thank you. Forrest says it's just awesome to see this level.
of athletic and creativity from a US team. A lot more athletes on this team. A lot of guys that can play all over the field. Alex Freeman, shout out. Chad, really loving all the soccer coverage.
Thank you. Did your dad figure out if it was Pepsi or Coke? They got him those free tickets. I was Coke. Coke was a big sponsor.
Coke was a big sponsor. It was Coke. Good callback. Winks Gaming Live. Check them out.
Never has the USA held higher than 60% twice in the World Cup. Wow. I mean, yeah, this is unprecedented. John. Winning when expected and occasionally dominating.
Is good. Another John. For them to consecutively pass so many times and not give away the ball is a whole new level of play for this team. These games are being played at their pace. The USA is not just chasing footy around.
They are in control. They are in possession. They are in demand.
So, yes, talked about that first goal. The second goal, we showed you the reaction from Nomad. That one gets credited to Freeman. Which, yes, Packers fans, Alex Freeman is the son of Antonio Freeman. Uh born in 2004.
So another little heated what thing. There was some offsides on the play. He was not offsides, so they reviewed it. Got the goal. Because you can you got to be in the play to be off sides.
And he was not off sides. That one I didn't celebrate right away. Because It's hard. It's really hard. Unless it's like a clear strike from.
30 yards out. You always wonder, what was that outside? Just like with touchdowns. Is there a holding? You know, is that really a touchdown?
That's kind of is this going to be replay? Was that really a catch? And that's how I felt on that one. And then, as soon as they showed the replay. Oh yeah, Freeman's definitely on.
Punched in the goal to nothing. And then from there, in the second half, as I talked to you with Corey. It was kind of like. Let's just get out of here with the win and let's not do anything stupid. Australia, I'm stunned.
Stunned, really, that they did not put in at least one. When it was 2-0, I didn't think that Australia would come back and win. I think with the teams shown us that they're not going to let that happen, but they certainly were going to have their chances, and they did. And there was a lot of action in that box on the defensive end. Freeze saved the ball when he needed to.
The defense did well to clear it. There were some fouls in there anyway that would have negated some of the shots that Australia had. But that last 10 minutes, I'm as proud of as any other. Point in this cup so far. is that they kept a clean sheet.
Two to one. Feels a lot different than two to nothing. That zero. That zero is monumental. And they'll be able to carry that with them.
Going forward. Plenty more to talk about here on the USA Turkey post-game or USA Australia post-game coverage. Thanks for being a part of it on Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and of course, on audio, wherever you can get your podcast. This is a live post-game podcast on YouTube. Links available if anyone else would want to join, get more into the cup and show you some other things revolving that in just a minute.
Right now, it's time for our new segment. Is this a felony? In this segment, I tell you something that I did. And uh ask you if it's a felony. Or not, Tony, you'll want to.
Stick around for this one.
So, I do have a United States flag here.
Okay. I have a United States flag. I keep it in my basement. Where did I get this flag? There is a 24-hour diner in Fond du Lac called Pharaoh's.
And in the year, oh, I don't know, 2005, 2006, maybe 2007. Yeah. I had um Breakfast, fourth meal? At about 2.30 in the morning. And they've got a giant flagpole outside with the Wisconsin flag.
and the United States flag. And I had the bright idea. Releasing the flag. And uh and then taking it home.
So this flag used to belong to pharaohs. In Fond du Lac, it now belongs to me, and I wear it as a cape today.
So the question for you is. Is that a felony? four one four 799. 1250. It does make my eyes pop.
Thank you. Very blue. Chip says, Miss your pod all week, even if it's World Cup coverage. Give us an everyday pod. We did one Sunday, Monday.
Tuesday. And then I failed you this week. I had some things fall through. And then I didn't really have much else to talk about. What am I going to talk about?
And I was kind of on, I was kind of, I'm still on standby for a Giannis trade.
So I'm still on absolute standby. I have a picture ready to go that will be an absolute banger on Twitter. It won't be as good as the greatest tweet of all time, that little Brazilian dog that says. Oh no, gray card again. Funniest thing I've ever seen.
War crime. possibly statute limitations. Possibly I got another vote for not a felony.
Okay, plus it's not like I did anything to the flag. In fact, I'm sharing my patriotism. In fact, I would argue. that between this hat This shirt and this flag. I don't know that I've ever dressed more patriotic in my life.
I don't know that I've ever felt more patriotic in my life. Whatever's happened with this World Cup and even the Knicks. There's like good vibes happening. Like people like to be outside and hang out. Hasn't felt that way the last 10 years.
And it feels like that now. If you want to know where you get this hat, again, $13.59, it was on sale. At Walgreens. I've been looking at it. I also want the Mexican version of this hat.
Because I'm rooting for Mexico and Canada. I don't really like, I don't really root for Mexico. In fact, I've rooted against them to miss the World Cup. But we're all the host. And so I root for them.
I rooted for them last night. Save of the tournament last night. After South Korea gifted them a goal. Which was weird, but save of the tournament. Uh last night.
Certainly. USA two. Australia, nothing. Bart didn't have anything to talk about. When has that stopped him?
Okay, I didn't also feel good, and I started a new medicine, and I was like, not. If you really want to know, I lied, and now you're getting the truth. But I'm feeling good. Have you seen the Europeans react to the USA in those videos? It's all I've seen.
I saw like the Scottish people took over Boston. And uh I see a bunch of people in Boston like. Why don't we do this every day? Boston rules. And that's how I hope like we come out of this.
Why don't we do this every day? The United States rules. There's all these guys experiencing parts of the country. that a lot of us haven't been to. Like if anything USA tourism Is going to be saved because we're going to become our own tourists in our own country.
Europeans always make fun of us, like, oh, you guys are international travelers. We got everything we need here. Got oceans on both sides. We got Mountains. We got We got everything.
Great Lakes. We got it all. Paid for much to this no way. All right, I got America. What the hell is this?
Hold on. I'm here for it. Who is this? Let's go. Is this cone?
The girl. I got two bald eagles joining us, folks. Hey, here we are. Yep, we're in Seattle, just left the match. Yeah, how'd how'd the game go?
2-0, that's how it went. Yeah. Uh any th any thoughts? I don't I've never interviewed an eagle before. Good thing.
Um Australia did not turn up today. I could tell you that. I need both Eagles. Oh hold on we got Well, where is he? We got one more for Lady Liberty.
Come here, Lady Liberty. Were you guys early at the game? Oh yeah.
So we're back at the time now. There's a little... Kind of chaos down there. What give me give me the whole Can you give me your whole game day experience? Like when you got there, what you've been up to?
This is awesome. Thank you for joining. Oh, absolutely. Yeah. My boy Marcus sent me your link from Austin, Texas.
Oh, he showed me you got on TV. Oh yeah, we were there. Yep. We made it the big screen a couple times. We made it television.
Lady Liberty was on there. Um it was a blast. It was hot. But The Miklo Bulches kept us cool and we were just having a blast. All right, so when did give me the whole game day again?
When did you get there? What did you do? All that? Oh, come baby, oh god. See side.
Oh man, well, my buddy came in from Colorado with his fiancé. My wife and I live here in Seattle. We're going to all the matches. But as soon as he knew that the US was playing here, he had to come out. Got us tickets.
We were third row right off the pitch, almost midfield. It was fucking amazing. We were. Two rows in front of Megan Rapino. She was sitting there right behind us.
Freddie Montero. Megan Rapino was sitting right behind us. Freddie Montero was two rows in front of us. He's a Seattle Sounder legend. Highest goal scorer.
It was just. It was a blast. We had a few Aussies behind us talking until they went down.
Sorry, for my language, down one zero, down two zero. It's welcome. It's like the USA won two zero, man. Say whatever you want. Yeah, we did.
So It was a blast. They're all. But yeah, we're winded. We're going to go. Go have some fun, maybe watch some more matches.
I had that picture of you on TV. I'm trying to find it. Yeah, we can see. There's a there's a few eagles there. What was the weirdest thing you saw?
Um oh man. There was Ted Lasso and Beard. Was there? That was a good idea. And Abe Lincoln.
Abe Lincoln. Abe Lincoln was pretty legit. Oh, okay. Here's you guys at the game of still shot. Oh, hey, there we are.
Yeah. Which is one of these Megan Rapino, or no? I don't see it. There's Robbino. No, I'll take a screenshot of this.
Yeah, who's this fucking guy right here with the slick back hair? What's up? I couldn't tell you. I don't know who that is. I don't know.
It was that guy. Uh Little weirdo, a couple of rows behind us. Definitely not. What are you doing the rest of the day? You got three more games to watch.
oh hold on hold on i got you you got three more games to watch Yeah, we got three more games to watch. We're going to drink our tea and have our cough drops and get our throats ready. Yeah, we're going to get ready for the round of 16 back here in Seattle, USA versus Belgium, calling it right now. USA advances two to one. Ooh.
Has there ever been a like pregame? Because I I don't. There's a lot going on here. One is that it's happening in America. Two, it's that we're actually not shitty right now.
And so the vibes and the pregame and the chance. Like When the Bucs won the championship that day, we all knew that day they were going to win in six. And Today, you knew they were that the USA was never going to lose this game. They just, yeah, there was no operation. It seemed like it happened beforehand because everyone knew.
Was there anything comparable that you've been to like this? No. Yeah. When the Seattle Sounders took out Miami FC and Messi in the Club World Cup, it was a full stadium, same spot. It was high energy and we demolished Messi and Miami and took home the cup.
But that was, yeah, the probably the closest in energy to this was that that calcin. Because, like, football, basketball, baseball, I mean, those are totally different things. And this is, you know. The World Cup, but I don't know. I would like to see some of this trickle over.
Like, let's have people march to a Packer game or something. Let's, people should be, we should, the stuff that we're like. The the reason this world cup kicks so much ass is that People are having fun, and it's sports, and that's it. This is so awesome. Yeah.
100% bring it bring it back. In four years, eight years. Does that stink in there? No, not bad. It was pretty sweaty.
It was hot. His breath is horrible. You can't open up the beak and eat, can you? Actually, I cut a little slit here to fit the Mikulub Ultra bottles through.
So I had a. I actually had access right here. What does that cost? Like 50 bucks? No, Amazon, Seattle, it was like 20 bucks.
No. Shit.
Well, I'm going to add that to my cart right now. Yeah, get one and come back out. July 6th for the round of 16. It's early, man. You guys have a good rest of the day.
All right. Yep. Thanks for having me. I really appreciate you guys hopping on. Shout out to Marcus.
Cheers. Yep. Shout out, Marcus. It fucking fucking containers. Let's go!
United States! USA! USA! USA! USA!
Let's go. Thanks guys. Hell yeah. Let's go! Come on!
Let's go. God is fucking rules. I saw a question. Would you rather have your favorite team win a championship or USA win a World Cup? Don't make me answer that.
Don't make me answer that. All right, so. One other thing the USA won today.
Something that me and one of my brothers. really get into That um I don't know if anyone even knows this exists. It's called the unofficial World Football Championship. And what this is. is it takes the Um international it it tried to track The first ever game.
That was ever played. And then the winner. would eventually get the belt. It's totally unsanctioned. FIFA doesn't know that it exists, okay?
The first team. To win the international football match and win the ever, the first ever, think of like a UFC belt or WWE belt. England beats Scotland. Four to two. In 1873.
So England. Was the first winner. of this championship. And It bounced around between Wales and Ireland, and when they would play each other. Eventually it got out of That part of the world.
And Let's see, most recently held. Kiracao had it and like, so basically. When you beat a team. The the winner Tracks all the way back to that first ever game.
Well the USA Beating Australia. got it by beating Turkey. The USA right now is the current unofficial World football champion. The lineage. From the first international game.
that was ever played. If you trace back the winner of that game all the way to 2026. You get to this game. Between the United States And Australia.
So we are currently. There it is, the unofficial world. Football champions. And we will give Turkey another chance to take it back. When we play them.
Next week. back in Los Angeles.
So another achievement that has happened. Here's a website that I want to alert you guys to. Um as well. It is the BBC. Oops, I almost left the stream.
Let's go to the other thing. The BBC Oops, that's when my kid is in uh Camp. You don't need to see that. Let me tell you, okay. Oopie.
Um, please don't do anything. The BBC has a website. Tracking what the matchups will look like.
So let's go to the BBC website. and show you what this all means. Where everything stands. Let's pull that up. Tim?
Here we go. Group D, United States, they are two O and O. They've won both of their games. They've got six points. Australia.
Has Played two games, they won one.
So there we go.
So, as it stands, as things stand, and they update this. Every game. Every game they update this.
So as it stands, the United States Would be playing Bosnia. Here's a Govina. In the round of 32, and I'll show you that in a second. That will change, that could change, but that's where it stands right now. As it stands, Australia.
would then play Iran.
So there was a very Somewhat likely chance. That the USA could play Australia in the second round. Or I ran in the second round, in the knockout round. Doesn't seem like that's going to happen.
So this is where their group. is at this point. And so as it stands, Turkey. would not make it. Every team in all of these groups, the top team is in.
Every second place team is in. That's how it's always been. And then they would go to a round of 16, and that would be the knockout. They added 16 teams. Which means When they added 16 teams, They added more groups.
So every first place team. Yeah. Every first place team. Is in every second-place team is in, and there's 12 groups.
So eight of the 12 third-place teams. We'll make it.
So let's look at how the bracket would look. Right now, with still three more games to play. In this group as it stands right now. The US would play Bosnia. Here's a Govina.
These are BBC time, so this would be Thursday night in prime time. I'll pull up that link too because I think I have where and when this would be. And then they would play the winner. of New Zealand and the Czech Republic. As it stands.
I didn't As it stands, this is oh my god. As the stands, we're going to the Quarterfinals.
Okay. And then we would play one of Uruguay, Austria, Ghana, or... Congo As this stands. There's a very Realistic shot. That we're going to the semifinals.
As it stands. And look at these some like Germany right now would play Brazil. Holy shit. Mexico would play Spain. England would play Portugal.
See if we slip up a little bit. And take second, we could have to take on Argentina. Say it with me. Uh as it stands.
So this is a fun website to track. Um I will share it on Twitter. a little bit later. But this is fun to follow along as you watch these games and try to figure out where everything is. If the USA wins Group D.
They will play Wednesday, July 1st. In Santa Clara. And if they win that game. They would play Monday, July 6th, back in Seattle. As the Eagle told you.
So if they win their group. It's a Wednesday, July 1st game back, and that would be in San Fran, Santa Clara. And then, if they win that game, they would play Monday the 6th in Seattle. If they somehow still take second in this group. Both those games would be in prime time in America.
If they take second, well, then we have day games. Friday, July 3rd. One o'clock in Texas. And if they win that game. It would be noon.
Or 11 a.m. on a Tuesday in Atlanta.
So I'll share that one. Two. But there's a bunch of different scenarios. A lot of that could happen here. Bunch of different scenarios.
Um which would be very Exciting, but we want them to win the group. We'd like these games in prime time. We would like that to continue a little bit of controversy Before this game, where you may know him, Elmo. Elmo said that in this World Cup, he roots for everybody. But Elmo wanted to make very clear that in this particular game.
He was in fact rooting. for the United States of America. Just to be clear, I Someone wants Team USA to win, okay? And I'm gonna love everybody. Just to be fair.
Don't make this a thing. Thank you. And one loves you? And no one loves you? And then one of you and Team Mursay.
And everybody was playing. All right, so Elmo just needed to clear that up. Let's see if anyone's saying anything. on Twitter. Uh no.
Scoop Winkler at it again. Oh, yep. I broke this news, guys. Um It's three years, $105 million for Jeffrey Simmons. The Titans defensive tackle.
I broke that news during the game. I was very busy. Haven't seen my family. It could be USA versus Iran in a championship game.
Now, that would be earth-shaking. I know. But the chances for that to happen would have been early on. Uh in this in this knock around. It could have happened.
the odds of that happening now at this point. Are unlikely.
So our next game is against. Turkey A, and that's very crucial for tonight. To see how exactly this is going to. play out So they play the other two teams of the group, Paraguay, who got their ass kicked by us. against Turkey.
If Paraguay wins, we are in. Or if Paraguay ties. The USA has six points. Australia has three. Australia could still win.
Against Paraguay and give them six points. And we could lose against Turkey. And we'd have six points. But then Turkey could still win. There's still a way for us to have these two wins.
And take third in the group. There is still a way for that, depending on these other results. But if you want the USA. If you want to know what's happening and stop doing the ifs, ands, and buts. And you want them to win the group.
You want Paraguay to tire win. Because that would take the other two teams out of the equation. We've already beaten Australia. And then if Paraguay did win and we lost.
Well, we would have the tiebreaker. They've gone to head-to-head for the tiebreaker.
So we want Paraguay to win. Or tie. And that will put the USA in first place, and that will lock them into the Wednesday, July 1st game that would be in. Santa Clara.
So, those are the things that we want to see happen. coming up here. in the near future. USA knocking off Australia. to nothing.
If anyone wants to jump in still, feel free and share your thoughts. Do I like the 48 teams? Uh I have liked it up to this point. I usually don't like when things change. I get like upset.
And then it turns out to be okay. Basically, everything that baseball's done. Has turned out to be okay. No, they didn't. Are you kidding me?
Morocco just scored just now? Oh my god. There's a game on right now. Morocco okay, so Morocco and Scotland are on Fox right now.
Well, that was quick. Morocco, they took fourth. They took fourth last time. They uh They tied Brazil in that game in New York. That was pretty big.
And they got an early go already. All right, well, we can watch a little of that together. I'm going to stick around here. Just a little bit. As a Morocco scored.
Good. Wow. All right. Thanks to Forrest for that. Yeah, there's a lot of weird shit going on where.
You're gonna watch a lot of teams and they're like. There's only two native people here from this country. I don't know what that's about. The Balogun story is great. I can't talk about it enough where.
He was supposed to be born in London, but they won't let his mom on the plane at seven months pregnant.
So he's born here and could claim American. And then there's a kid from Bosnia that's from Appleton. I played in Appleton for a little bit. But you can claim all these different things. I've loved watching the World Cup so far.
Thanks for your coverage of the USA and others. yeah i'm not i'm not getting the biggest numbers i've ever got But I just want to be clear that there is a place to talk U.S.
soccer, and it's me. Do I like the 48 teams? Right now I do. It's going to get interesting for a couple different reasons. One is unrelated to the 48 teams, is that there are different tiebreakers.
The goal differential used to be the tiebreaker, but they've now brought it. to the head-to-head tiebreaker.
So there's a chance now where Mexico. Could sit everybody. And that would change things because. That could mess up their group and put teams that weren't going to qualify or whatever. There could be situations where teams know that they can both get in if they tie, but if they score a lot of goals, so they might want to tie 5-5.
There could be a lot of weird shit that happens, but there could always be a lot of weird shit that happens, but it doesn't necessarily happen. I think the 48 teams is good. Yes, you're going to get these teams that get their ass kicked, like Kiracao, but they're in a World Cup that they would have never been in. Let them enjoy that. You'll get the complaint: well, why Curaçao and not Italy?
Well, they're in different confederations across the World Cup, isn't supposed to be. Europe, the Euros, plus four other teams. It's supposed to be teams represented from all over the world. You have to get out of your region of the world to get in. Italy couldn't do that.
Curaçao could. That's why they're there. I have no problem with that. That's uh That's casual talk. And then one other complaint, and I'll bring in Ben L here.
Good to see you, Ben. How you doing, Bart? One other complaint is, why was this game At two o'clock or noon Seattle time. And it is a holiday weekend. Most people, I think, have off for this for Juneteenth.
But even still, The NBA Finals. Game seven would have been tonight.
So, you want to put USA up against game seven of the NBA Finals? No, you do not.
So that did not happen. This game came, it went, we enjoyed it. The next one will be in super prime time, super late for everybody. But also, kids got to watch this game. We had some kids over, and of course they watched probably five of the 90 minutes, but they saw a go and they were chanting USA with this flag in my room and.
That's the kind of stuff that's doing. Oh man, they're doing it in the living room. That's the kind of my kid too, he's like, do you think our neighbor is into the World Cup? He's outside mowing his lawn. I go open the window.
We did. We did. So, what do you think, Ben? I know that you're kind of riding the wave on this. I am riding the wave.
Very impressed, especially without pollistic. I think I do think he's our best player. Yeah. I can provide as much insight as a casual fan, probably. I don't even have.
I've got my old Navy shirt on.
So you got red. What's the hat? You got a red heads on it. Oh, Wisconsin. Yeah.
What, um, had you watched any World Cup before this ever? Oh, yeah, absolutely.
Okay, so you like get into the cup? I get into the cup. I really like the tournament style. I think it's probably the best. Tournament S set set up, like actual construction of fairness and You get to see a lot of good games and everybody has a chance.
I mean, y you know the the premium's gonna rise to the top, but The World Cup is unlike anything else in sports. Yeah. Does it translate to you like the USA is never this good? This is different. I really want to see us at full strength against a good team.
I I think Australia was a good team, but when they played Turkey I mean, they kind of kicked their butt and We beat Paraguay, so I'm not really worried about the next game. Like you said, if we can rest, that's incredible. Yeah. Well, there's good teams, and then there's like the powerhouses. And the way that it might shake out, as I showed on the bracket, If you think of a traditional soccer power, a Spain, a Germany, an England, an Argentina, a Brazil.
You might not see them for a long time, the way things could shake out in this tournament, pending that the USA is able to hang on. And win this group.
So this could be. I can't the the absolute like We're here in the second game.
So there's a little that I'm happy about. And there's a with the 48-team thing. I it's only a month. but this can be a long month. I do worry some soccer fatigue sets in.
I don't think so. I think it's going to be the opposite if we keep winning.
Well, if we keep winning, it's great, but like. There's four games a day still every day until next Wednesday. When then the group stage finishes and they play theirs games at the same time.
So you can't like. you know, go into a game and Sabotage, but there's still three games with six games a day, or three times six games a day. It's just a lot of soccer. But then if the USA. I thought for the USA to really capture the country, they'd have to win a game in the knockout round.
I also figured that they'd do what they do in pretty much every cup they advance in: win, lose, tie. They usually get into the second round with four points. We always need one other result to help us out. This is not how it usually goes. And for two wins.
Seemingly everybody's paying attention. Um This is what it's happening earlier.
So then, this next game. Would be great if they could rest some guys, but also still win. It's not going to be the next game, Paraguay, if we don't have anything to quote unquote play for. um you know the momentum won't rise but it will also will not decrease And then if they win a game in the knockouts, We're going to the moon. If they win a second game, In the knockouts.
And get to the semifinals, the last eight. People should have off work then. I I don't I can't even on our soil. I can't even fathom. What that will look like.
in America. And I'm just I really, I can't, there's like, I can't fathom it. But if it happened, I'd accept it. You should speak it into existence. He's fucked around and won this whole thing.
Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. I'm really excited. I don't want to get ahead of myself, but it'd be amazing to get to the semifinals and. That that is like. Imagine them in the final, in the actual final.
It would be so crazy at the stadium. And I want to be clear on this. Where we're at now is Well like we landed on the moon Yeah. Where winning the finals is. Is We have built a new colony on a planet outside of the Milky Way.
What comes first?
So it's funding World Cup or building a colony. Yeah, it is so. It would not be Miracle on Ice 2. It would be. It would be more than that.
The miracle on ice guys would be like Holy fuck, that was insane. Is there another goal here? Oh, yeah, I'm watching it too. Morocco's Brewer's winning the World Series. No, it would be like the Brewers winning.
15 World Series in a row. And all of them were sweeps.
Okay. Yeah, I think I don't know about 15 maybe 14 But it's as a Wisconsin sports fan, it's hard to. Uh Get outside of the bubble of Wisconsin sports. This is bigger than. the local team.
This is This is incredible for the country. Yeah, and we're all rooting for the same thing together. Yeah, it always brings everybody together no matter what country it's in, so it's a great experience and. Whether it's Fox or N D C or A B C like w you gotta get past that and just enjoy the collective sport.
Well, I'm not going to be passed. The Women's World Cup next year is going to be on Netflix exclusively. That's terrible. Um I'm not sure I'm past that yet. I like watching the Women's World Cup as well.
I you know, women's soccer I think is competitive and a lot better in my opinion than watching the W NBA, but Oh. I like watching the Women's World Cup too, but I am a Women's World Cup casual. Like, I probably just watch USA. Everyone has Netflix, but it's the promotion, right? The constant, and they're probably going to add hydration breaks to The women's world club is.
I know everyone is Netflix because somebody asked me this: like. Everyone is Netflix. What's the big deal? It's just. Guys, we used to be able to do this, click.
Now we have to do click, click, click.
Okay, there's a big difference. No, is that just a me thing? For me, it's more like. The kids have the instant gratification of watching any show they want at any time.
Some of these World Cup games have a Brewers game on, I can go preve. Yeah. I go Fox Brewers, Fox Brewers. Women's World Cup, you have to be like, log out. Cable.
Thanks for that. It's my most old man complaint. Great podcast. Like the Not obscure content, but you know, the WWE gets people into something different. World Cup.
Next week, I have a podcast plan with a financial guy. What are you doing? Financial. Are you gonna do it on the Winklerverse? You gonna help us get rich?
I got nowhere else to go. Oh, right, man. I'm always about wealth management and learning more about how to handle money. I'm not good at it, but I like knowing. I want to diversify a little bit.
Yeah. All right, buddy. Peace. See you, Ben. Ben L.
Joining us. What is an hour plus live podcast without Hot Take Jake? Ah damn it. What? Hold on, hold on, hold on.
Don't Did you not want to come on?
Well I'll wait for you to figure it out. Yes, caller, you are live. 1087 the Fox. All right. That was Hatig Jake doing the drive.
Along with Tim Shea. Lisa said she didn't like this hat. I don't know what the deal is. You got the stars, stripes. It was 13 bucks.
I needed a hat. I can't wear SummerSlam 94 the rest of my life. Yeah. Alright, I think I'm good now. How we doing?
Good, are you safe? I'm safe, I think. Um I think I lost him.
So uh never What's that? You got a Hyundai? No, I have a key up. Oh. Luxurious Kia.
Um Number one, that hat is just, it's way too curved for my liking, at least on you. Thank you. I appreciate that. You need to work on that. You know, like you, you, uh, You have to break in a baseball glove.
You need to break in your brimmed hats that are curved there. You gotta flatten them up. All right, so can you explain to me, 'cause like people in my friends' group chat are going off about this is crazy. I can't believe they want, like, is this actually a big win? Or like, what would be like a different sport equivalent?
Uh for this win specifically Yeah. It's a good question because Let me try to put it in Buck's terms. I like that. Because Winning the whole thing would be... That would be the Bucs winning 10 straight championships.
Okay. Um The USA has not won two games. consecutively in a World Cup since 1930. What? Yeah.
I feel like it's a long time.
So this is like This isn't quite winning I would say getting to the semifinals. would be equivalent to winning the NBA finals.
Okay. It reminds me of that scene in Major League where the legendary Lou Brown is like. We want a game. Yesterday, if we win today, that's two in a row. If we win tomorrow, that's called a streak.
It has happened before. But I guess it hasn't. Holy shit. This would be like after This would be like after 20 years of Herb call 41 and 41 seasons. The Bucks right now clinched the number one seed, and they won 70 games.
That's where we're at. You're being uh very generous too 'cause The herb coltines are more like Thirty-nine games, you know. 41 was massive. But I need some help then 'cause like If I'm gonna prete like pretend to get into this, like how do I do it? Because Here's my issue.
I just don't like it. Um When I watch soccer, I just it's hard to not just see people like running and just for an extended period of time. Um so like my last memory of trying to get into it was My dad picked me up because he was a weekend warrior dad. Was it 98 when the women won the World Cup? 99, yeah.
Yeah, so he planted me, he like he bought a 35-inch TV, which was the biggest fucking TV in the world at that time. Probably for $1,200. Yeah, probably like $2,000, you know. And so like he plants me down in front of it and he's like, we gotta watch this. This is gonna be historic potentially.
And like, I remember excited because I didn't really watch much soccer.
So I was like, okay, this is cool. And then, like, I was bored to tears. I fell asleep several times during the game, because I think it was 0-0. And like, I looked over at one point. My dad was sleeping on the couch, I was sitting on the floor.
And then like uh you know the lady took her shirt off but that's that was the last time I tried to watch a soccer game really. It's like how how do I do it? I would say, so you want to get into it? Yeah. Or at least, you know, it's like a be part of the crowd.
Yeah, that would be my recommendation: is to watch it with the crowd.
Okay. Just watch it with the crowd. I think like I was telling my wife this about soccer. I'm just gonna change it for a second, it should be bad. Please do.
Um I I can speak the language of every sport. Like, I can speak football, I can speak baseball, but I'm fluent in soccer.
So, like, the way like baseball players are like, oh, that was a knuckleball. Here comes a curve. I think it's going to be a. You know, I need help with that. Or football, it's like, well, that's because of the A gap and the base coverage there.
Okay. All of that stuff I know. Um, with soccer. I'm fluent in soccer. I can speak all these other languages if I'm fluent in soccer.
So I watch it as a game where I'm just not watching the ball. I'm watching the whole field. I'm watching runs develop. I'm watching them set up things that they're going to come back to in 10 minutes.
So that's how I watch the game. But if you're just trying to watch the game, it's like, yeah, what am I doing here? They don't score a lot. There was that 0-0 game between Cape Verde and Spain that was. as exciting as a contest as I've ever seen in my life, there are no points scored in the matter.
But it was so exciting.
So I think for you, just be around other people, be around joy. You're right. And just if you don't, if you don't like it, if it's not for you, it's not for you. But I'll say this. The UFC is not for me.
Okay? And I watched that fight on Sunday night because I wanted to see what was going on.
So I was intrigued, a little palace intrigued. And then they're like, oh, this guy's the underdog. He's an American. And this other guy hasn't lost.
So I'm like, wow, storyline. I can get into this storyline. The same thing with wrestling.
So I got into it. I don't know what's going on. Oh, he's grappling them. Oh, he's down now. I don't know what the fuck.
But I was into the storyline.
So you got to find a storyline to climb onto as well. And the storyline right now is the USA usually plays like shit, and they're not right now. Small.
Okay. By the way, uh, I don't know if you heard, I was told the uh UFC, the last event, was watched more than any Super Bowl in history, is what I was told. That's what you were told. The truth is it was watched by 7 million people. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
It's but you know. people will believe anything these days. Um yeah, no, I I um I I used to casually watch UFC but Not anymore. Um Well cool, maybe I'll give this a shot, but I know I have to like I have to keep my snarkiness to a To a low. What?
If maybe you just cut it out completely. Uh Like, uh what are the chances that they win three in a row now? Sure.
