We got breaking news Jim Jordan calls Jack Smith to testify. Keeping you informed and engaged.
Now more than ever. This is Sekulow. We want to hear from you. Share and post your comments or call 1-800-684-3110. And now, your host, Logan Secular.
Welcome to Sekulow. We got a great show today. I'm Logan Sekulow. Will Haynes joining me in studio Rick Rennell. He's going to be on a little bit later today.
And we are talking about the breaking news that Jim Jordan has called. Jack Smith to testify, Will. This is what's happening right now. That's right. Gets amped up after you remember the hacks that were happening, is Jack the Hacker.
That's good. Tack and Jack. Old Hackin' Jack. Was really looking into a lot of people's cell phone records, a lot of people who really had nothing to do with his investigation of President Donald Trump.
Now, that has now escalated things over the last few weeks, I would say, where now he's back in the news. Hacking Jack's back in the news. That's right. So, last night, a letter was sent from the Judiciary Committee signed by the chairman, Jim Jordan, to the special counsel, Jack Smith, former special counsel, I should clarify. And it's talking about the investigation they are doing, their oversight investigation into how the Biden-Harris Justice Department weaponized federal law enforcement.
Slow it down. Slow it down. All right. I'm just letting you know. I'm giving you the facts.
Just the facts. And we only got three and a half minutes in the segment, but we've got to take it, take it easy.
So, this letter, and we'll get into the specifics of what they're asking for in the next segment, but this follows the Judiciary Committee's oversight looking into how both the special counsel, the Department of Justice, the FBI were all weaponized against conservatives. during the previous administration. And they have already spoken with multiple members of Jack Smith's team. Who were not willing to cooperate.
Now, this is coming on the heels of Jack Smith giving interviews with people like Andrew Weissman saying that, you know, how you protect from show trials and how you protect from kangaroo courts and things of that nature are by transparency.
However, members of his own team are pleading the Fifth Amendment over 75 times in some cases when asked about things like: Were other members of Congress swept up in this? How many members of Congress are their records on? And those individuals are pleading the fifth before Jim Jordan's committee.
Now, what Jim Jordan is asking for here is a transcribed interview. This isn't going to be the 15 minutes of fame Democrats and Republicans before a committee in a hearing room televised on C-SPAN. Can we not get both? We probably end up with the fun of it. Here's the thing: we probably will get there.
But Jim Jordan is conducting a very serious investigation of oversight here. And so, what he's offering right now to Jack Smith. Even though Jack Smith has not responded to previous correspondence asking for records, is for all of the records under the time that he was special counsel, any correspondence he had with political appointees or career officials of the Biden-Harris administration, and all documents and communication you sent or received during your services as special counsel. And then he's asked to also come in by that. All those materials have to be by October 28th given to the committee, as well as calling the committee to schedule a transcribed interview.
Now, this is not a deposition, it's a little more informal. There can be some negotiations. It's an olive branch saying, we want to get your testimony, but we're not bringing the full force of the committee yet. If he doesn't respond or if he balks at this, you can expect a subpoena and a deposition to follow.
So we will see if Jack Smith, who is going and making interviews now, trying to cover up a little bit, if he really Believes in the transparency that he's saying he believed in. Jack Smith may not be responding, but he's really happy to do the press, really happy to do a whole tour, if you will. We got a lot of that sound. You'll hear from the man himself, from Hacking Jack himself. It's catching up.
He's catching up. It's catching us. It is really. I mean, so I want to hear from you. What do you think?
There are calls. Hey, is this another one of those moments? Where is he reading the article saying this is a weaponization? This is going against his political opponents, President Trump, once again, whether that was this or Letitia James, whoever it may be. What do you think about that?
Or is it just fair game? 1-800-684-3110. Again, you're going to hear from Jack Smith himself coming up. He's not a guest on the show. No, unfortunately.
I wish he would be. He's more than welcome to call in. Phone lines are open at 1-800. 684-3110. If you know him, Send him a text.
He probably already knows that though. He has your records. Welcome back to Sekulow. We are taking your phone calls at 1-800-684-3110.

It's the only way that this show remains on the air. It's the only way that we're able to have our incredible legal work. And we'll talk about that a little bit later as well. We'll also talk about some updates coming from Israel as, of course, we had the hostages were released. It was a big deal.
Now they're trying to get the remains of those who had passed away, who had been murdered in captivity. And there has been a lot of issues with that, as well as the disarming of Hamas. We're going to break that down coming up in the next segment. But we are going to continue to still talk about Jack Smith. And as Will said, Jack Smith.
Willing to not or not willing to respond to a lot of these efforts to get him to testify.
However, He is willing to do a press tour, willing to show up, do some interviews, talk to the press, and let's hear from the man himself, who sit really is a how dare you moment from Jack Smith to say there's any impropriety going on. Let's hear bite one. The people on my special counsel team were like that. The idea that politics played a role. And who worked on that case or who got chosen is ludicrous.
And Andrew, you know. And this is another thing that I think if you're not inside the US Department of Justice. The idea that politics would play a role In big cases like this, it's absolutely ludicrous and it's totally contrary to my experience as a prosecutor.
So, Logan, this is unfolding in London, you know, very American place to be. But the interview is between Andrew Weissman. And Jack Smith. That name rings a bell. That name, because Andrew Weissman was one of the top deputies to Bob Mueller under his special counsel investigation of President Trump.
So the hilarity interviewing you and acting like it's unbiased interviews. Exactly. Like the hilarity of the first failed special counsel, which was a fraud on the American people because of the money it's spent, the beginnings of it, how it was manufactured by the intelligence agencies to bring forward this Russia collusion hoax on the American people. One of the key members of that special counsel team is interviewing Jack Smith at the University College of London. Like this just reeks of like Cold War-ish.
I see the imagery too. I mean, look, as someone who has spent a little bit of time in academia, I have to say, they don't give you the best classrooms often. And you know what? You don't have the best lighting.
Well, he doesn't. But it looks like he's being interviewed in a minimum security prison.
Well, Jack Smith did spend a long time. Time at the Hague as a prosecutor, so maybe they just made him feel comfortable in the surroundings. How cold can we make this? I don't know. One bottle of water and two small in tables, and that is all you are provided here at the University London.
Interview aesthetic, right? Yeah, we got a lot of calls coming in right now, which is good. Three lines still open, though, 1-800-684-3110. Let's go to Michael, who is watching on YouTube. Again, there's over a thousand of you watching just right now, live.
The hundreds of thousands of you watch later on, but live.
So, if you're watching right now on YouTube, you can give us a call. But also, what I oh, we lost the caller. We lost him. How dare you? He hung up.
He got nervous. You could do your Greta Thunberg. How dare you? Yeah, that's good. Give us a call back, man.
You had a good comment: 1-800-684-30110. Because what he said was that idea that no one was above the law that they have been preaching for the four years leaning up to the second Trump presidency. You know, the chickens have come to roost. That's right. And when you look at also other parts of it, he talks about transparency.
That's how you avoid these political trials in our system.
Well, here's the problem. This is from the final page, page four of the letter from Jim Jordan and the Judiciary Committee to Jack Smith. It says: over the course of our oversight, We have written you several times to request documents relating to your politicized investigation. You failed to respond.
Now We also know that they have interviewed multiple members of his team, including Jay Bratt, JP Cooney, and Thomas Wyndham. And specifically, these individuals Also, didn't want to be transparent. They didn't want to come forward with, okay, here's what we got. They were invoking things, according to Jim Jordan, a broad and vague, unreasonable interpretation of grand jury secrecy protection, as well as invoking privileges, objections, including the Fifth Amendment to refuse approximately 70 questions. And what were some of those questions?
I'll read them for you because Jim Jordan puts that out. That's all the calls went down.
So you got some questions. I won't do 70. I think we should do at least 64. How many other members of Congress were investigated as a part of the Arctic Frost investigation and Jack Smith investigation? Yeah, back up.
Okay.
So, people that don't know the term Arctic Frost, I think we got to go, we got to lay this out because these are terms that are hilarious to the normal listener. It's the crossfire hurricane, it's an Arctic Frost. What is that one?
So, Arctic Frost specifically was the investigation that led to the special counsel in the January 6th investigation against President Trump. Not the DOJs going after individuals that were there at the Capitol that day, but specifically when they were trying to bring these obstruction charges against President Trump. And he said things like, how many other, and we know that is the investigation where the eight senators and one member of Congress got their phone records Jack Smith did. How many other members of Congress were investigated as a part of the Arctic Frost investigation and Jack Smith investigation? I respectfully declined to respond for the reasons stated by my counsel, namely the Fifth Amendment.
Where Lindsey Graham went kind of crazy. That's right. And he said, I mean, not that that doesn't happen. Every so often, but Lindsey Graham was like, how dare you? Another, how dare you.
Were there any other records of members of Congress that were swept up by the legal process in your investigation? I respectfully decline to respond for reasons stated by my counsel. In the special counsel's report, it talks about evidence from congressional staff. Were those congressional staff connected only to Congressman Perry? I respectfully decline to respond for the reasons stated by my counsel.
So no transparency here. The Congress and the Judiciary Committee have that official oversight role. That is part of the separation of powers and the oversight given to Congress. When you have members of a special counsel team that don't want to answer, these seem very basic questions when they're looking at the investigation. They're just asking if there were any other records swept up in the legal process.
Not saying, did a grand jury compel this? The entire situation, and then you take the Fifth Amendment, your right to non-self-incrimination.
Now, in a criminal trial, you can't take that as an inference of wrongdoing. In a civil Case you could, you could be used against you, however. These also aren't them giving the Fifth Amendment in front of C-SPAN cameras where there are members of the party on both sides that are trying to make a show of it and preach at the witness. This is a transcribed interview. This isn't even a subpoena at this point.
So they are given a lot of leverage, but it's. Obstructing, not in a criminal sense, but hindering the oversight of this committee of trying to get to the bottom of what happened because it was on full display for the entire American people how poorly run and how political this special counsel investigation is. How dare you say that? And of course, Jack Smith, he's not willing to make a statement to Jim Jordan, not willing to do this right now, but he is willing still to be interviewed to talk about these things.
So he's obviously doing an interview by proxy.
So we're almost responding to some of the claims from Jim Jordan, the claims from Jim Jordan, the claims from a lot of these committee members without actually having to do it. Of course, this is a clip from him, again, from that same interview, talking about what he considers the integrity. Of his office and why a lot of the staff are starting to resign. Let's take a listen. You tell me what you think.
Here's Jack Smith. You can't say, I want this outcome. Let me throw the rules out. That's why, frankly, you see all of these conflicts between. The career apolitical prosecutors I worked with, because they're being asked to do things that they think are wrong, and because they're not political people, they're not going to do them.
And I think that explains why you've seen the resignations, you've seen people leave the department. It's not because they're enemies of one administration or the next. They worked through decades for different administrations. It's just they've been doing things apolitically forever and when they're told, no, you got to get this outcome no matter what, that is so contrary to how we were all raised as prosecutors. It's almost laughable hearing that, him trying to give commentary on the Trump administration when his entire appointment.
They held that. They didn't start this raid on Mar-a-Lago right after the President left office. They went. in a very strategic time headed towards the primaries. Jack Smith.
was uh was appointed Towards the end of of Joe Biden's term. Leading up to the primaries in a second term for Joe Biden because he said he was running again. It's laughable to hear him say that these aren't political people. They're apolitical career prosecutors. Is laughable when you saw what the Department of Justice was doing under.
Joe Biden. and Barack Obama before him. We got phone lines open for you. I know a lot of you called in and we had some technical difficulties.
So, phone lines are back open. We got a couple on hold, but a couple open as well. 1-800-684-3110, 1-800-684-3110. We're going to pivot a little bit here in the next segment, away from Jack Smith, and also talking about President Trump's warning to Hamas: disarm or pay the price. What does that look like?
As now the hostages are free. And now, maybe business can get taken care of. Let's chat about that coming up. in the next segment. We'll be right back.
Welcome back to Sekulow. We do have some calls coming in about this topic, so maybe we'll take a couple of those before we move on to our discussion on Hamas, where things stand in the war there as the ceasefire continues, but has not been without some struggle now that the hostages are free. But there are some calls coming in about Jack Smith.
So let's take some. Let's go to Mike in North Carolina online too. Mike, you're on the air. Yes, I uh made the comment. about I pay particular attention to leading up to the election, the end of 2023 and a lot in 2024 and I'm just wondering where Letitia James, Jack Smith, Alvin Bragg, Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff, they were just on the T V two or three times a week.
I thought they were all for transparency. No Every American needs to be very scared and if political party can do that. One man. What could they do to someone that didn't have the fortune to Fight those things. Yeah, Mike, I mean, that has been the common thread through a lot of this, which is if they could do it to the President of the United States, what could they do to you?
And I would argue they did. When you see what they did to pro-life Advocates, people that went and just were trying to advocate for the unborn and for those that were going into clinics or even just against the clinics themselves, using their First Amendment right. Uh they were bringing the Department of Justice against them. They were having FBI raids on uh a father and his family to arrest him because he defended his son when he was attacked by a counter protester. And they didn't bring assault charges against the man that attacked his young son.
They brought a charge against the father and they took it all the way to trial. They didn't get to the point after they raided his house, even though the man I'm sure would have surrendered innocently and peacefully to the DOJ had they said we're going to bring these charges. They raided his home, guns drawn. For defending his son, And they took it all the way to trial, the Biden DOJ did, and lost. Because of that.
So it isn't just If they would do it to the President, they would do it to you. They were doing it. to the American people that held contrary views to them. They weaponized the Department of Justice. They sent spies into the Catholic churches.
And then they said it was just one. It was just Richmond. And it was a memo. We didn't really get that far with it. Oops, we were wrong.
It was actually a bunch of field offices, but it didn't get that far, don't worry. Oops. Actually, we were trying to make it a national policy for the entire FBI to be spying on churches.
So don't let them tell you when Jack Smith makes these comments about apolitical career prosecutors that are just the finest people in America, we saw what the Department of Justice was doing under Merrick Garland's leadership and Joe Biden's presidency. It wasn't good. It wasn't American. It was against the very foundation of what we believe in this country. And so don't believe them when they go to London in a nice dystopian room with another former special prosecutor's team, special counsel's team member, Andrew Weissman, and have this conversation.
I'm sure they had an espresso later. Sure, you might be able to. Maybe high team. I like a dystopian room. I like the vibe, but I don't like the people in that vibe.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's like. All right.
I like the idea of dystopian more than I like dystopia. Yeah, you like, yeah, but like the high-end dystopia. Oh, yeah, for sure. Yeah, like just clean walls. Exactly.
Nothing on the wall. Nothing. All right. We are going to switch our topics a little bit here because there has been some movement, some changes at what's going on, the war between Israel and Hamas. Obviously, the big news this week: hostages are free.
So that's great.
So, really, the biggest chip, if you will, has been cashed in. This has been great. I told you, we should be if this was all that happened, even if the war continued, but the hostages were free, that should be enough. That would be enough to be satisfied with President Trump's plan and that it worked because that is human life, and human life was saved.
Now, there are a lot of bodies. There are a lot of bodies of the murdered by Hamas who have not been returned yet. Hamas says they're looking for them, they're trying to locate them. We do know that of the bodies that were returned. At least one of them.
Was a Gazan was not an Israeli hostage. And that was a three extra that they were able to deliver today. One of those was not even an Israeli hostage. It was not an Israeli hostage.
So you know, they are either playing a game here, which they've done many times, or. Maybe some of these remains do not exist in the way that they said they did. President Trump has some pretty strong words.
So I want you to hear from him before we continue this discussion.
So this is from President Trump. This is from yesterday during a press conference. Take a listen. We have told them we want to serve. And they will disarm.
And if they don't disarm, we will disarm them. And it'll happen quickly and perhaps violently. But they will disarm. Do you understand me? Yes, you see.
Because you always, everyone says, oh, well, they won't disarm. They will disarm. And I spoke to Hamas. And I said, you're going to disarm, right? Yes, sir, we're going to disarm.
That's what they told me. They will disarm, or we will disarm them. Got it?
Okay.
What's the deadline you're trying to? Yeah. Sorry, you said quickly, but what is the deadline you're going to put up in the middle of the day? A reasonable period of time. Pretty quickly.
A reasonable period of time. A reasonable period of time saying if they don't disarm. We are going to disarm them. And possibly violently, perhaps violently. That's not a misquote.
That is exactly what President Trump said. That is a pretty stark comment, what that means. I think it is up for interpretation, whether that's the U.S. getting involved, whether that is Israel just saying, you know what, go do what you have to do now. The hostages are free.
That's what we wanted. Got the hostages free. Go do what you can do to now end this conflict for good. We were afraid that that could be where things headed. We are hopeful that this is still the end of the war and it is where we're at.
Thankfully, right now, there are still good movements happening.
However, What disarmament even looks like. It's kind of a big question.
Well, and here's what's interesting as well about that. One when we talked about, okay, will Hamas get to that next step? And I think we are always still thinking of it as a prior President doing this. President Trump is so committed to this. He's not the Obama, oh, you said you're going to do it.
Now do it. Don't cross this red line or else. And then they cross the red line in Syria and there was nowhere else. President Trump is so firmly believed in this deal and has gotten it much further than really anyone thought that he could. That I think he is committed to seeing it through.
But we're also seeing Hamas killing innocent. Palestinian civilians in Gaza. Just Willy-nilly, bringing them out in the street and shooting them. Where are your celebrities now? Right.
So, this is from CENTCOM, the Admiral Brad Cooper, the commander of Central Command of the United States military. We strongly urge Hamas to immediately suspend violence and shooting at innocent Palestinian civilians in Gaza, in both Hamas-held parts of Gaza and those secured by the IDF behind the yellow line. This is an historic opportunity for peace. Hamash should seize it by fully standing down, strictly adhering to President Trump's 20-point peace plan, and disarming without delay. And it goes on.
But. The US government means business here. And they're saying we are going to get this peace pan-plan. In place, we are going to continue with the 20 points.
So, Hamas, you're on notice, and we're noticing. That now you're killing innocent Palestinians. What's up with that? I thought that it was just. The bad genocidal Israel doing that.
And of course, they've been doing that. Forever. Right.
We know this. Whether that's for Christians, whether that's for other people in that region, just someone they may find difficult. Life is not the same. There. Hey, we got a second half hour coming up.
If you don't get us on your local station, find us broadcasting live right now on aclj.org, YouTube, Rumble.

Go to ACLJ.org. Support the show. Keeping you informed and engaged.
Now more than ever. This is Sekulow. And now your host, Logan Sekulow. Welcome to the second half hour of Sekulow for your day. Phone lines are open at 1-800-684-30110 talking about a few topics.
That's right. Jack Smith being called in by, we're calling him Hackin' Jack now. It's your favorite. It's catching on. Sweeping the nation.
Yep. Hacking Jack, you may know him. He's being called by Jim Jordan to come and testify, but of course, isn't responding. He's responding through the press, responding through academia, through interviews being conducted by some friendly people in London. We also are going to continue on our discussion about the disarmament of Hamas.
What does that look like moving forward? And Rick Rinnell is going to be joining us in the next segment to talk about some California rules. You may have heard about the redistricting efforts that are happening. And of course, there is another glaring issue that comes from mail-in voting. You are not going to want to miss.
Of course, you know, they're almost laughable, except for the fraud is so out in the open. that it becomes uh And comical.
some points. As I said, phone lines are open for you at 1-800-684-3110. If you want to talk about that or any topic, we have a call coming in right now, even about the New York mayoral election, which I know is taking up a lot of your feed right now, wherever you are in the United States. It seems like the mayor of New York, which obviously is a very important thing. A very important person who becomes the mayor of New York as it is the, you say, the capital of the world, if you will.
Will just rolled his eyes at me. But I mean, maybe formerly. Formerly, the capital. I mean, I love New York, spent a lot of time there. And I would love to see it kind of get back to where it once was.
Uh Currently, we know it's in rougher shape, and I don't know if where the election is headed is going to help anybody out. Let's go ahead and take a call on that. Let's go to Mary in Texas. Mary, you're on the air. Hi, yes, love your show.
I just have a question about your opinion. Why was communism? Why was this country against communism back in the early 60s? We fought against communism. I remember.
stars, Hollywood stars being brought in front of committees. being accused of being communists. I remember Lucille Ball, because she was married to Desi Arnaz, was being accused of being a communist. I remember seeing that on the black and white T V when I was little, and they used to call it witch hunts. And a lot of careers were ruined over that in Hollywood.
Why the change? Why is it so popular now?
Well Mary, I will say, I don't know if those were great either. You know, I think those trials were a lot of times where people that were. Targeted specifically whether a lot of some of them were for their beliefs and their communist leadings.
Some were also due to race issues, a lot of other things that were happening in Hollywood at the time.
However, let's put that aside. Why has it become popular right now? It's become popular. I think you can really start looking to academia. You can start looking to the people who are educating your children, specifically in universities, of why this.
Now, if you ask, of course, you're talking about New York. That was one of the questions you said. It seems like New York is going to give that another go. Of course, you're talking about Mondami, who is a Democrat socialist, who is very quick, Will, to always, whenever they start labeling him communist, he's like, wait, wait, wait. I'm a Democrat socialist.
And then they pushed him, even on the view, they pushed him and they go, well, what does that mean? And he gave some ridiculous answer that was just like, it just means things should be fair. And even Joy Behar was like, well, that's not exactly what it means.
So you got to give it up to them, at least even a little bit, pushing back on some of his nice guy rhetoric that seems nice. But of course, people vote, especially in these. Areas that are young people driven, they vote also for personality. And right now, he is the flavor of the week.
Well, I mean, and depends on how deep down the rabbit hole you want to go, whether it be academia, whether it be, you know, TikTok, being a Chinese company, being able to serve information to youth of this country. But I think also we are so far removed from seeing the horrific nature of what communism did to these countries and to these people that people forget. And in America, we have it pretty good. Even with all our problems, we're very comfortable. And so it's easy to see something nice and shiny with a good personality that says you get free stuff.
Yeah, everyone should be able to do that. We don't see the bad. Everyone should have the same thing.
Sounds nice, sounds fair, sounds generous. Of course we know what that all actually looks like. when it comes down to it. Go talk to anybody in any of these countries that are still suffering. from it.
We get back. Rick Ridnell's going to be joining us. We're talking a little bit more about another election that's happening, one that's happening in the state of California, voting for redistricting, what that's looking like, and some moments of maybe. a little fraud base. We'll see.
We'll talk to you about that in just a moment. Welcome back to Sekulow. Phone lines are open for you at 1-800-684-3110. Rick Rinnell's joining us right now, Rick. And maybe, Will, you could give us a little bit of a setup here because I want Rick's thoughts on this.
I know this has been. A topic, if you were just watching during the break, you got to see what the local news said. Holy ballots, Batman. Which, you know, that's straight out of Sacramento local news. I love it.
Will, what's going on in California? That's right, Rick. As we look ahead to this special election or special voting referendum that the governor, Gavin Newsom, decided to put on the ballot where they would change the independent committee, which I know you have thoughts on that as well, but to A special redistricting just to try and combat Texas and other states that were redistricting. Going outside the law of California to create something new and put it to a vote. We're just a few weeks away from that.
But already, it seems like there's always something a little sketchy going on with the ballots in California. This time, we're seeing in certain places that if you vote no, on the redistricting with your mail-in ballot. You can see that through a hole in the front of the inner envelope. What's your take on this, Rick, and what's going on in uh your beautiful home state?
Well Raise your hand if you're surprised. That it's only if you vote no, if you vote against Obama, if you vote against Gavin Newsom.
somehow transparency reigns. I mean it it's laughable. We have a state that is totally Totally a one-party ruled thing. Mm-hmm. They rule with an iron fist.
And what they're doing now is collecting tens of millions, maybe hundreds of millions of dollars To do a New election. which literally reads Because of techn When you read the question of voting yes or no in California. It literally says We're doing this in response. to Texas's part partisanship. This is this is where we are.
It's like California is responding to Texas, but really it's all because Gavinusa wants to run for President.
So this the counties are having to put forward a new special election. which it takes place here in a couple of weeks, asking the question, do you want to Start over and redo our congressional seat because Texas is being so partisan, so we're going to be partisan? That's literally the question. I hope everyone who's listening to me understands that we can defeat this. You've got to vote no.
Get out and vote no. Take everyone you know and vote no. We need to send a strong message to Gavin Newsom right now that he doesn't get to play partisan politics just because he's losing.
Well we had a census They did the they created the congressional districts And the next census is not until twenty thirty. We don't need to waste this money just because they're losing. Or losers. What's so interesting to me, Rick, is that Gavin Newsom seemed so confident in this. He decided to go outside the regular norms.
California does have an alleged independent redistricting process. I put alleged there because it's not like it's perfect, but this is completely different. This is taking it outside of the system that is by law in California and putting it to a vote to have this little intermittent change for his own benefit. But now you're seeing. Of all that confidence, spending all that money, getting this together so quickly that he's having to bring people in like Barack Obama to try and sell this here at the last minute.
That doesn't seem like high confidence of getting the people of California on your side on this if you're having to go for the probably the only Democrat Party superstar left to try and sell this to your people. Look, there's no question that they're worried. The big overall question is whether or not they're overly worried, but they're clearly worried, and here's why. We have spent the last five years Getting people who are on the sidelines to register to vote. Remember, fifty percent of your neighbors are not even registered to vote.
Of everyone who is registered, only forty percent roughly Are voting. And so it's a very small crowd that the Democrats in California keep going to. to win these elections. They are panicked that we're adding new people to the voter rolls.
Well, at the same time, going county by county and demanding that they clean up their voter rolls. We have something on the next year's ballot Hopefully, we're gathering signatures now. That would put voter ID on the ballot in California. That is a total game changer for California. It immediately cleans up the votes.
of all the non-citizens in California, of which there are a lot voting. And so Right now, Gavin is panicking because when you look at His reputation with the fires. and the frustration that people have in California combined with all of the stuff that we've done with voter registration and voter rolls, He's thinking that a special election Could mean that he loses for the first time in California. And so they brought out the big guns last night during the Dodgers game or as Will would say, the Brewers Doctors game. Um But But I was sitting there watching the Dodgers game and watching Obama come on.
and Gavin Newson come on so many times And we have a law in California that you have to announce who's paying the top three people paying for the ad. The California Teachers Association Have been paying for all of these partisan ads. If you're a teacher or you know a teacher in California, you should be outraged. That the teachers' money is going to redo the census just in California, just for congressional races. It's an outrage.
It's a waste of money. And Rick, I hate to give more fuel to this and show people what Barack Obama had to say. She said they brought out the heavy hitters to really try to make this moment mean something, but it's so. Partisan, if you will, in the way that it's presented. It's not even.
Trying to win people over on either side, saying, you know, this is what's good for the state. Here's why. It is so specifically targeted to or against Republicans. I think our audience does need to at least hear a few seconds of it.
So here is a clip from Barack Obama talking about this. California, the whole nation is counting on you. Democracy is on the ballot November 4th. Republicans want to steal enough seats in Congress to rig the next election and wield unchecked power for two more years. With Prop 50, you can stop Republicans in their tracks.
Prop 50 puts our elections back on a level playing field, preserves independent redistricting over the law. Those quotes there, Rick. Republicans want to steal enough seats in Congress to rig the next election. You can do this. You can stop the Republicans.
This is the rhetoric that is coming out of the government there in California, and of course from the former President of the United States, Barack Obama. Look, I don't think they've paid. tested this very well because I can tell you the the whole phrase. democracies on the ballot. is what Kamala said.
And that's a losing issue because they saw what they did to uh Republican. We saw what the Biden team did when they were in charge of the Justice Department. And so What what this commercial is, what you rightly pointed out. Is Barack Obama and Gavin Newsom are only playing to the highest? high propensity Democratic voters, of which there's enough in California.
If they can rally their base to come out and Republicans stay home, they could win this. But we're doing a pretty good job in California right now of telling Republicans. It's a one question on the ballot. It's so easy. And we mail ballots to every single person on the voter roll.
So find your ballot in the mail. Send it in, vote no, no, no, no. Try to vote no as many times. I want to point out one thing other than the fact that this video that Barack Obama put out saying that Congress wants to rig the next election and steal seats would have gotten the Biden DOJ to force social media to get him kicked off and deplatformed, just using that language. But he says.
It preserves independent redistricting over the long term, which is such a bait and switch, saying you have to break the system now so that we can preserve it later. I just wanted we have about 30 seconds, your quick thoughts on that little bait and switch rhetoric. He literally because he's losing is saying, you have to trust me to break the system now. and go go literally off the census schedule. in order to get these Republicans in Texas.
That's what he's saying. It's outrageous, it's manipulation. Vote no on Prop 50 in California. Find your ballot, vote no. All right.
Thank you, Rick, so much for joining us today. Hey, in the next segment, I want to hear from you. You've heard about California, you've heard about New York, you've heard what's going on overseas in Israel and Gaza right now. You've heard about Jack Smith. There's so many topics we have covered today, surely.
You have some thoughts on some of them. I'm talking to you, our listener and our viewer. And phone lines are completely open right now. We took some calls early on in the show, so that means right now you can call in and likely make it in the air in the next segment because I want to hear from you. I always say our callers are the most important voice in the room, and I really do believe that.
1-800-684-3110. With that, also, though, I want you to go to aclj.org, spend some time on there. We make sure all of our content is available without a paywall, and that only happens. Because people like you support this show and support our legal work at aclj.org. All donations go and are distributed throughout our legal team, our media team, everything we're doing around the world.
And none of it's paid for by major sponsors. Most of it's not paid for by major donors. It's the bread and butter, the backbone of this organization is you. The person that can give $25, can give $50, can give maybe $100.
So many of you do that each and every day. That it's able to keep this short. show and keep our legal work top-notch. Because of you.
So go to aclj.org, do it today. We're going to take your phone calls when we get back. All right, I asked for you to call, and so you did. We got lots of calls coming in. Take a minute if you're on hold right now.
We'll do our best to screen it and get you up. Let's go ahead and kick it off with Ronald South Carolina watching on Rumble. Ronald, go ahead. Yes, thanks for taking my call. Seeing here in this whole landscape that you have literally brought up is that the Democrats knew that they had goofed.
in the last administration and they're trying very hard to gain Yeah. Back that would gain them the control of the government.
So they are doing. everything they can from like California to to this place, to that place. and everything else to try and take and win a major election to give them control of the government once again.
Well, and Ronald, what you see also is that they haven't been able to coalesce around even a single ideology as a Democrat Party. It's not so much a big tent party where they have, you know, a bunch of ideas coming together. They just seem so all over the place and unable to get it together. And they can't fundraise. They can't do anything.
So people like Gavin Newsom are trying to lead the charge. They're trying to find ways to rally the Democrat base, whether it be this absurd move that he's doing in California, whether it be. The way that they're trying to do national media. Yes, they are trying to fix what they broke in their party in the last election. They had so much hubris, they thought there was no way that they could lose to Donald Trump again.
So much hubris that that Joe Biden thought he should run again. And everyone knew that that was not the case. And then now you see the Kamala Harris book tour. Clearly, she's planning on running again for President. She thinks if she just had more time, it's everyone else's fault except her own, being a terrible candidate, not knowing how to do interviews, not knowing how to get a message out there.
So, yeah, they're scrambling. But it doesn't mean that There isn't opportunities for them to make gains in a midterm because midterms are local elections. People. When they're polled, they may not like Congress, but typically they like their representative.
So you see things like that, that it doesn't mean that people on the right, conservatives or Republicans, should get complacent either when they see what a circus is going on on the left because it still is a very bipartisan country, not in the working across the aisle, but in a polarization way.
So I think that's also something that there shouldn't be complacency on the right either if you want to continue the work that you're seeing going on now. Hey, phone lines, a couple are still open at 1-800-684-3110. Couple people didn't make it through the screening process. Not sure what happened there. Hopefully, they didn't say anything bad to our phones.
They probably did. They probably did. 1-800-684-3110. Let's go to John. I actually have a response to this.
John in Maryland on line one. John, go ahead. Yeah, I'm just calling because I was just curious if you had any thoughts On why in the mayorial race in New York, why the only Republican and his name slips my mind, but he was a guardian angel. He started the guardian angels up there, and now he's running for the mayor position. And why Donald Trump, our President, great President, hasn't thrown his The support behind him.
I don't want to put words into President Trump's mouth. Obviously, this guy's run so many times, has had so many chances to become some sort of elected official that it's become a bit of. I don't want to say it's a joke because I feel bad saying that because I think the Guardian Angels, some of the things they've done, great work. But it isn't necessarily going to move the needle. You've actually seen maybe more likelihood that President Trump would push voting for Cuomo.
uh over voting for uh uh the Republican on the ticket. I don't think he probably is going to weigh in either way necessarily th in that, but I think a lot of it's that. It's who actually has a pathway to victory and who has a pathway to victory that could at least Look, I think a lot of you go, I couldn't believe that Cuomo is who you're telling people to vote for, but you're talking about someone who at least is going to be on the side of New York, going to be on the side of the Jewish people in New York, some of those kind of things. There's major concerns, obviously, with Madami's talk and the way he talks about Israel, the way he talks even about the Jewish community. He's backed off a lot of that as he's had to moderate.
But we know his history. It's not like I'm being slanderous here. It's black and white. He's talked about it openly.
However, I mean, it's looking like a pretty big landslide victory for him. We'll see. Well, and also, I would say to John, Curtis Liwa and Donald Trump did. Don't seem to like each other. Sliwa left the Republican Party after saying very nasty things about President Trump during his first term and then re-registered as a Republican after President Trump left office.
So there's, I assume maybe there's some roots that go deeper because of New York, maybe there. Who knows? Because they're both New York guys, but they don't have a good relationship. Nor also Curtis Sleewa, like you said, Logan, has run for mayor a lot of times. He's tried this.
He's just not, the nostalgia of the Guardian Angels, I don't think does anything for a campaign there anymore, as well as just maybe isn't the best candidate running for the party. But also, I think when you look at Mendami, I mean, he even said today, Logan, you're saying he's trying to moderate. He's still saying that he'll have Netanyahu arrested if he comes to New York. As early as today, his party, the Democrat Socialists of America, was criticizing the deal because it didn't give back all the stolen land. That Israel stole from the Palestinians, meaning the entire river to the sea mantra.
So he can moderate on paper as much as he wants. He can also moderate because there's a lot of things he can't do without the state of New York actually doing it.
So he can claim I've moderated. He just has no power, but don't believe for a minute that he's actually moderated himself. All right, last call of the day. Let's go to Bill in Wyoming.
Well, if Leslie gets screened, maybe we could take her too, but we'll see. Or him. Bill in Wyoming, you're on the air. Yeah. I just want to say that the Bible says there's nothing new under the sun.
We have seen in the last couple of years history repeat itself in the fact that we've seen Sir Winston Churchill being reborn in the fact that Prime Minister Netanyahu stood strong against opposition and pushback when he was going against Gaza and Hamas. Yeah, I mean, Bill, I think you can draw some of those conclusions, and we'll see how history treats Prime Minister Netanyahu. And I think it'll probably depend on who you're hearing it from. His history is not as defined maybe as it once was.
Well, and I think also to Bill's point, I mean, he said anti-Semitism being reborn, one, it never went away. But what you're seeing, even with the infighting within the Republican Party, and you're seeing Politico putting out this report where they got 2,900 pages of text messages from college-age and young Republicans that were. Back and forth with very anti-Semitic things. They may defend themselves in some ways, saying some of it were jokes and not in serious hits of private communications. But if they're looking to be the leaders of the party, the jokes that were anti-Semitic, I mean, there's no room for that.
Especially when you have people like Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens that are putting out so much anti-Semitism to the traditional Republican base in ways. Tucker was at the White House yesterday. It's just disgusting to see that. And I think that it needs to be called out on the right as well as the left. We can't just say, look how bad the left is and anti-Semitic.
If there are people that are fomenting racism within your own house, your conservative house, You got to call that out too. Yep. Thanks for calling, Bill. Thanks for everyone who called in today. We actually took a lot of calls, and I appreciate everyone who did that.
Thanks for your support. Thanks for listening to this show, watching this show, interacting with us each and every day. Again, we can't do it without you. And I'm going to encourage you right now to make a donation of any kind. It could be five bucks.
It could be $500. You just do it right now at aclj.org. Know that helps keep us on the air. If you hear ads in your local market, that doesn't go to us. That goes to the station or the network.
If you see ads on YouTube, know that is a very, very small amount of money that goes to the organization. Not enough to pay maybe one or two of our staff members at most. And we got a big crew and I want to always have the best of the best and of course our incredible legal team.
So right now, go to aclj.org, make a donation if you can, talk to you tomorrow.
